I have an idea for a reader and Olivia Benson if you’re happy to write it. 2am Olivia gets a frantic call from reader, she’s hyperventilating and her words are coherent. Olivia manages to get out of the reader that she’s home and rushes over. As the approaches her apartment she notices the front door ajar and inside is a complete mess. She hears reader sobbing in her room, and notices she’s naked and bruised and scratched. Reader confesses her ex forced her way in and attacked her. Reader begins to space out lost in her emotions of insecurity and worthlessness, she unknowingly advances on Olivia and ends up kissing her.
thank you for your request! i hope you enjoy 💗

Olivia Benson x Fem!Reader (tho r isn't described with any pronouns)
warnings: implied assault/rape (up to interpretation), typical SVU themes, poorly written fluff, not proofread
word count: ~1314 (longest one on my page so far yippie!!)
a/n: i love writing for my svu girls! there's definitely not enough fics of any of them, and my requests are open for them all :)
Olivia is jolted away by the sound of her phone ringing. she rubs her eyes as she groans, looking at the alarm clock on her nightstand.
2:43 am.
she sighs as she grabs her phone, her eyes straining at the brightness as she turns it on. the call had already ended, but she decided to check to see if it was important or not.
she frowns when she notices you’ve called more than once. she quickly clicks the ‘call back’ button, pulling the phone up to her ear as she adjusts her position in her bed.
she has an unsettling feeling forming in her chest as the phone continues to ring. finally you pick up the phone.
“y/n?” Olivia’s voice crackles through the phone.
the glass from your shattered phone stabs through your hand as you grip it tightly, pressing it against your face. you breathe heavily, unable to form any words as you can feel yourself slipping out of consciousness.
“hello? y/n?” Olivia repeats your name, worry filling her at the sound of your labored breathing. “can you tell me where you are, honey?”
suddenly the line goes dead, a sharp ‘beep’ can be heard on both sides.
“y/n?” Olivia says panicked as she tears the phone from her ear, she quickly tries to call you again, pulling her phone away to stare at it when it goes straight to voicemail.
the brunette swiftly pulls herself from her bed, hurriedly putting shoes on and grabbing her keys as she attempts to call you again. she rushes out the door of her apartment, not even bothering to change from her sleepwear.
the entire car ride is full of dread and worry, she had a quick phone call with Fin while in the car. she needed to make sure that someone knew where she was going, in case something goes down or she needs back up.
she sloppily parks in front of your apartment building, quickly rushing out of the car and into the building. she practically runs up to your apartment.
Olivia can feel her heart drop into her stomach as she nears your door, noticing it’s open.
“y/n?” she calls, pushing the door open. “oh my god.” she stands in the doorway in a state of sudden shock, everything was destroyed. there were spilled flowers on the ground by the entrance, couch cushions thrown off the couch, picture frames and trinkets spread over the floor by the kitchen island.
she continues into your apartment, taking notice of the shattered glass and blood on the kitchen floor. she freezes again when she hears the sound of heavy breathing. the brunette walks slowly towards the sound.
“oh my god, y/n!” Olivia breathes as your barely conscious body comes into view.
you were laying on your kitchen floor, slouched over against the cabinets, your body cut and bruised, your shirt is missing and your pajama shorts are ripped.
Olivia rushes over to you, dropping onto her knees to cup your cheeks, “hey- hey open your eyes for me.” she says, her voice uncharacteristically shaky.
you open your eyes ever so slightly, attempting to focus on the brunette woman in front of you.
“’livia..” you mumble, your voice raspy and you're quickly thrown into a coughing fit, blood flying from your mouth.
Olivia takes a sharp intake of breath, “i’m going to get help, okay? you’ll be okay.” she mumbles, whipping her phone from her coat pocket, calling Fin to tell him she needs paramedics at your apartment. as she’s speaking on the phone she peels her coat off of herself, wrapping it around your body in an attempt to cover up your near bare body.
she sets her phone down as the call ends. “help is on the way.. can you tell me what happened, sweetheart?” Olivia whispers as she strokes your hair gently, glancing towards the window to see if she could see the lights of the ambulance approaching.
you look up at her with tear filled eyes, “she got me, ‘livia.. she got me.” you whisper, your voice cracking as the tears begin streaming down your cheeks.
Olivia didn’t need to ask to know who you were talking about, she knows it’s Max, your ex girlfriend. since the time she began getting close to you, she had always promised to protect you from your abusive ex girlfriend.
the brunette’s eyes search over your face, “we’ll get her.. okay? what did she do to you?” you drop your head back onto the cabinet, your eyes closing slowly, “hey- hey no, keep your eyes open, honey.”
you force your eyes open, trying, and failing, to focus on Olivia, “’m sleepy..” i mumble, my eyes drooping again.
“come on, y/n, stay awake for me..” her voice is panicked as she pats your cheek, you drift into unconsciousness.
Olivia stands up as she hears footsteps approaching, hearing the sound of the ambulance sirens outside of the building. the brunette rushes towards the ajar front door, stepping out to wave the paramedics into the apartment and showing them where you lay on the floor.
the next few hours are excruciating for Olivia, you had to get surgery in order to remove the shattered vase pieces from your back, and you’re now laying unconscious in your hospital bed.
Olivia is seated next to the head of the bed, no matter how hard she tried she couldn’t fall back asleep, she needed you to be okay.
“liv?” you mumble, your voice hoarse for a number of reasons. your head is pressed against the bed as you squint your eyes over at the older woman sitting beside you.
your sudden voice causes her to jump slightly, her eyes shooting from the book she was reading to you. “y/n.” she breathes as she stands up, leaving the book on the chair as she leans over you.
you grin up at her, “hey, ‘livia.”
“hi,” she whispers, running her fingers through your bangs as she stares down at you. “how're you feeling?”
you hum, shrugging your shoulders but the movement makes you wince, “i dunno.. did you get her?” as soon as the brunette frowns you know, she's still out there.
the room goes silent all except for the buzz of the lights and the slow beeping of the heart monitor.
“thank you.” it comes out as a whisper, but it confuses her nonetheless.
she scrunches her eyebrows in confusion as her eyes meet yours once more. “for what?”
it's silent for a moment before you respond, “for answering my call.. i suppose.” you gaze up at her.
a smile tugs at the brunette's lips, “i'll always answer when you call me.” she says gently “no matter the time, or the day, or how i feel..”
you giggle, “even if you hate me?”
her smile falls, but only slightly, “oh, y/n.. i could never hate you.” she whispers, her hand cupping your cheek.
you can feel your cheeks heat up slightly, “oh.” you meet her eyes again before your gaze drops to her lips. slowly you lean in before eventually you're pressing your lips to hers in a tender kiss.
once you realize what you’ve done you pull away, eyes wide.
it’s silent.
your eyes begin filling with tears, “liv-” before you can say anything, Olivia leans in, kissing you. you quickly reciprocate the kiss. when you both pull away she is smiling at you, her eyes soft and her feelings towards you are evident in them.
“i’ve wanted to do that for a while..” she whispers, her thumb gently rubbing your cheek bone.
“yeah?” you chuckle, the tears that were in your eyes had now run down your cheeks, being quickly rubbed away by the brunette.
“mhmm,” Olivia hums, a loving smile on her face as she holds the gentle eye contact with you.

Unspoken Bonds (Olivia Benson X Friend! Reader, Rafael Barba X Reader)
Request: Hello, there! I would like to request an Olivia Benson x Friend!Reader were reader and some friends in the alley near Olivia's apartment building. One day, after a fight with her boyfriend, reader is drinking beer in the spot she usually hangs out at, and Olivia talks her into going back into the apartment. They talk, and Olivia cooks her dinner. Olivia asks reader to join her some other time.
A/N: This request has been tweaked with the boyfriend but not boyfriend just someone the reader has been crushing on being Barba and the fight being him leaving the squad after his trial! I hope you like it so sorry it took so long!
--------------
The air in the alley was usually welcoming. The hushed whispers, the laughter.
Today it seemed quiet. Tense.
You walked, a frown on you face as you rushed into the bar. You were not by any means a drinker, but you always came with the squad to drink after a case.
You sighed. There was no one here today and you needed a drink.
Or two or three.
Earlier in the day, a heated argument had erupted between you and Rafael. He was found not guilty and yet instead of celebrating you found yourself even more upset.
He wanted to leave. Leave the DA's office. Leave the squad.
Leave you.
It angered you how you had supported him from the moment he pulled the plug and it had all been for nothing. The weight of the disagreement lingered heavily in the air as you found yourself drowning another drink.
You loved him.
Not that he knew, of course. To him, you were just a friend. Just a really good friend he would call every morning, text every night, laugh with, go on vacations with.
Just a friend.
The whole squad knew you had feeling for him beyond a silly crush. You hadn't wanted to tell him. You were certain he didn't have the same feelings for you. If he did he would have already made a move by now. It had been years since you had met. So many coffee meet-up, trial victory dinners and late night movies.
You scowled as you asked the bartender for another one, not noticing someone eyeing you from across the bar.
Olivia, ever perceptive, noticed the turmoil in your eyes when you walked into the bar. She decided to give you some space but kept a watchful eye. As the night wore on and the three drink became six it became apparent that you weren't going to bounce back from this one easily. Olivia knew how much you cared for Barba. She knew the how upset you were. From the moment you had come back from the courthouse and left with you jacket without saying a word, Olivia knew something was wrong. A call from Rafael confirmed her suspicions. Lots of things were said, lots of unpleasant ones and Olivia listened as he pleaded her to check up on you.
Which led to her quietly approaching you.
"Mind if I join you?" she asked, her tone a careful mix of concern and warmth.
You looked up, offering a small, sad smile. "Hey, Liv. Yeah, sure."
The two of you settled into a quiet corner, away from the prying eyes and the buzzing conversations. Olivia, familiar with the unsaid language of pain, waited for you to open up.
"He wants to leave, Liv," you finally spoke, your voice barely above a whisper. "After everything that happened with the trial, he just wants to start fresh. I can't wrap my head around it, Liv. We fought, and I don't know what to do."
Olivia's eyes softened, understanding the weight of your words. "He's worried about you, you know?"
You rolled your eyes. "Of course he is," you said, sarcasm lacing your voice.
"Why haven't you told him?"
Your eyes went wide as you looked up. "Liv I can't."
"Why not?" Came the careful pry.
You felt something wet on your cheek and you touched it, realizing you were crying.
You were immediately engulfed by a caring warmth. Olivia held you, as the tears continued to flow freely down your face.
"Let's get out of here," she whispered into your ear as she called over the bartender to pay your tab
You nodded as you pulled away, as you tried to wipe your tears away. "No Liv let me pay-"
"No, I think you've gone through enough today." As she glanced down at the receipt she looked over at you and couldn't help but laugh as she passed you the bill.
You looked at it.
Holy shit. 200 bucks.
"Still want to pay?" She asked with a grin and you cracked, giggling as you shook your head.
Olivia finished paying and you tried to get up but immediately felt the weight of the drink your had.
This is why I don't get drunk.
Olivia helped you towards her car, laughing the whole way as you tried to walk in a straight line.
After a five minute struggle you managed to get into her car.
"Is it okay if we go to my place?" Olivia asked.
Feeling a sense of comfort in her offer, you agreed, allowing Olivia to guide you back to her apartment.
Inside, the apartment felt like a sanctuary. She made sure you were comfortable, offering a safe space for you to unload the burden you had been carrying.
"So why haven't you told him?"
You sighed and let out a deep breath. "I don't know Liv. He probably doesn't even feel the same way. We've been friends for years and he's never show any interest beyond our friendship."
Olivia nodded, the conversation beginning to sound awfully familiar. "You won't know unless you tell him. Would you really just let him leave without telling him?"
"I-I-I don't know. Maybe?" You tried, stuttering.
Olivia raised her eyebrows. "Seriously?"
You threw your hands up in defeat. "Liv come oooon! That's not fair."
Olivia shook her head, "It's not fair to either of you."
You were quiet.
After a while, sensing the need for a change of tone, Olivia suggested, "How about I cook us some dinner? A little distraction might do us good."
You managed a weak smile, appreciating the effort to get your mind off it.
-----------
As Olivia moved around the kitchen, getting everything on the stove, she felt her phone vibrate.
A text message.
'Is she okay?'- Rafa
Olivia wiped you hand on a towel as she peaked her head and saw you had picked a book off herself and had begun to read it. She sighed before texting Rafael back.
'Yes but you need to tell her!'
A minute passed before a reply came.
'I will.'- Rafa
She smiled as she looked up at you form on the couch, engrossed in the book, before getting back to dinner.
-------
As the smell of food filled your nose you began to lose interest in the book you had grabbed from Liv's bookshelf. You stood up and placed it back in its spot before walking to the window, looking out at the city below.
You sighed, rubbing your eyes. You knew you had acted childishly. You knew going to the bar wouldn't and hadn't solved any of your problems.
You knew you had to tell him.
You checked your phone, having putting it on silence after storming out of Rafael's office.
70 new text messages and 20 missed calls.
A new text appeared before you could open the others.
'I'm sorry for today. I hurt you and I need to see you. Let me make this right. Please let me see you.'- Raf <3
Your heart skipped a beat but before you could text back Olivia called out, "Dinner's ready."
As you sat down to eat, the taste of Olivia's homemade dinner mingled with the shared silence made you anxious. She glanced up as your leg bounced erratically under the table.
"Are you ok-"
"He asked to see me!" You blurted out.
Olivia tried to hide her smile as she nodded. "And?"
"I'm going to tell him." You said with determination.
Olivia took a drink from her wine. "That's great. I'm glad."
You smiled as you texted Rafael back as Olivia took another bite from her food, trying to keep her composure as she felt her phone go off.
'Thank you Liv. I owe you a million.'- Rafa
Olivia looked up grinning and you grinned back.
"See my food makes everything better!" She joked.
You laughed. "Thank you Liv. Honestly you're such a good friend."
"It's what I do," She said with a smile as she began to think how she would tell the squad tomorrow.

Our Family
Alright so a surprise for me and everyone else. I am managing to post today! I had a little gap between my little celebrations and since I managed to do most of my editing and reviewing of this piece yesterday I am able to quickly post this before I go for drinks!
@autumntheblogger requested a fic with Female Benson reader who adopts Noah, and Rafael is the surrogate dad. So, I hope you enjoy and that is something like what you were after!
So, the gif doesn't really have anything to do with the story I just liked it....
Warnings: None.

You woke up in the middle of the night, expecting to hear the cries of little Noah as you had the past several nights. But you heard nothing, there was no crying. Sitting up you looked around in confusion, mind still half asleep. Running a hand through your hair you turned to look at your bed partner, your brows furrowed in further confusion seeing the bed empty beside you. The sheets were still warm. There was no light coming from the ensuite, so he wasn’t there. You pouted a little as you got up from bed, determined to hunt him down. You paused to check in on Noah, noticing that the crib was empty.
“Huh,” you muttered.
You slowly walked down the hallway rubbing sleep from your eyes which widened at the sight that you stumbled upon in your loungeroom. The sight answered both mysteries of the night, the absence of Rafael from your bed, and the lack of Noah’s crying. Rafael stood in the middle of the loungeroom, bouncing lightly on his feet holding Noah to his chest as he softly sang to the little boy, the Spanish lullaby soothing him back to sleep. Noah had grown a lot in the year that you had fostered him, it had been just under two months since you officially adopted him, but he still looked tiny in Rafael’s arms. You leaned against the wall, your heart melting at the sight of your two boys. You had been weary about dating Rafael when he first showed interest, you had first met the man when you went to the SVU squad room with the intention to drag your sister out for lunch, it had been a while since you had seen her.
--
“Well, if it isn’t little Benson,” Finn grinned as you strode into the squad room.
“That got old after the first three times you said it, Finn,” you rolled your eyes but let Finn pull you into a hug. You adored Finn, always had since you first met him when he joined your sisters squad. “Liv free?”
“She’s with our new ADA,” Nick answered coming up for his own hug. “Going to drag her to lunch?”
“Ooh, someone’s clever, they should make you a detective,” you teased winking at him when he playfully tried to mess up your hair. “Tell me something, this new ADA, Liv seems both happy and vexed with this guy. What do you guys think?”
“He’s good at his job,” Amanda answered. “He’s a little abrasive and should probably work on his approach to our victims but otherwise I don’t think he’s a bad guy.”
“Good, you guys deserve a consistent ADA,” you grinned before turning as you heard Liv’s voice. You studied your sister, checking to see if there was any signs that she was overly stressed, you let out a breath when you saw no signs. After checking on Liv, you allowed your eyes to drift the man beside her, taking in the fancy looking suit, his perfectly styled hair and his brilliant green eyes. Your heart fluttered for a half second as you took your fill of him, knowing that he must be the new ADA. You were more intrigued by him then you had been with any of the previous ADA’s.
“Y/N, what are you doing here?” Liv asked as she spotted you next to the rest of your squad. You were still studying Rafael when he turned to look at you, a look of confusion on his face at seeing an unfamiliar person amongst the squad. Your eyes locked for a split second before you forced you gaze away, that second was enough for you to know that you could get lost in his eyes forever.
“Here to drag my stubborn sister out to lunch,” you answered, tilting your head. “And don’t even try it, I already cleared it with Cragen.”
“Of course you did,” she laughed. “Rafael, this is my sister, Y/N.”
“Nice to finally meet you Rafael,” you stepped forward, offering your hand for him to shake.
“I take it Liv’s complained?” he asked stepping forward with a little smirk. He took your hand in his squeezing it gently as he shook it twice before letting go, letting his fingers trail along your palm.
“Only about as much as she would about me,” you responded.
“And that is a sisters job,” Liv poked you in the arm.
“And so’s making sure my sister eats and remembers that they have a sibling,” you hip checked her. “Now please go and grab your shit.”
“Your shout,” Liv said told you as she walked to her desk grabbing her coat and bag. You rolled your eyes playfully at her back ignoring how Rafael seemed to be watching the interaction with amusement.
“Duh, always is,” you added forcing your tone to match how you behaved as a teenager when Liv became more like your mother than your sister.
“They always like this?” Rafael asked Finn. The rest of the squad had been watching the back and forth between the Bensen siblings like it was a tennis match.
“Only as long as I’ve known them,” Finn shrugged.
“And how long is that?” Rafael asked.
“Since 2000, known Little Benson since she was 17, and even then she would come charging into the squad room to demand her sister join her for food,” Finn grinned. “Those two would share being the mother hens, once in I think 2005 Little Benson was really sick and Liv was out of her mind until Cragen told her to go home.”
“Odafin Tutuola you better not be selling our secrets!” you walked back over to the team wagging your finger at the man. “Don’t listen to him, Rafael.”
“I don’t tend to,” Rafael responded, his teasing smirk growing. “But from what I have witnessed he doesn’t seem to be lying.”
“Rude,” you laughed. “Wow, I can see now why you get along so well with Liv.”
Rafael’s smirk changed to a grin at your laugh, he had heard mentions of Liv’s sister in passing but Liv hadn’t talked overly much about you, at least not to him. He knew Liv was a somewhat private person and he hadn’t been working with SVU for long.
“Alright, call me-”
“Do not call her,” you interrupted. “Cragen promised me a full hour for lunch with my sister with no interruptions. I’m sure this place won’t collapse in that hour.”
“Don’t worry, we’ll handle anything,” Amanda promised you with a wink.
“That goes for you as well Rafael,” you pointed a finger at him. “If you have issues with anything regarding a case, call one of them.”
“Bossy,” Rafael muttered.
“You should have seen her as a teenager,” Liv agreed. You opened your mouth in a fake gasp of surprise.
“Who do you think I got it from?” you asked crossing your arms.
“From me?” Liv acted surprised.
“She’s got you there Liv,” Nick said teasingly.
“Alright we’re leaving,” Liv nudged you away from the rest of the squad.
--
You were drawn out from the memory when you felt Rafael’s hand caress your cheek. As your eyes refocused you saw his green eyes staring at you with love, a soft gentle smile on his face.
“There you are mi amor,” he whispered leaning to press a kiss your cheek. “I was trying to let you sleep.”
“Thank you, honey,” you covered the hand cupping your cheek, nuzzling into it. “I think my body automatically wakes me up now.”
“Where were you just before?” he smiled at you as you reached up to stroke the back of Noah’s head, Rafael removed his hand from your cheek, wrapping his arm around your waist pulling you closer to him.
“Remembering when we first met,” you answered. “I remember thinking that I was in trouble from the split second our eyes met.”
“Really?” he raised an eyebrow, a smirk slowly replacing the soft smile. “Mi amor, charmed by me before I even opened my mouth.”
“Oh don’t go getting a big head,” you scolded him. “We should put him back to bed.”
“Hmm, don’t worry mami, I was charmed by you very quickly as well and that only grew every day,” he kissed your lips before walking back to the nursey to put Noah back in his crib.
“Do tell,” you drawled trailing behind as he entered the room and waited for him to lay Noah down before plastering yourself to his back, arms wrapped around his chest as you looked around him to Noah sleeping peacefully in his crib. Rafael chuckled softly as he ran his fingers up and down your arm before he unlocked them from around his chest, using the grip on your hands to pull you from the room and back to your bed.
“Should I be worried about you getting a big head?” he teased.
“Don’t worry, Rafi you’ll still have the biggest ego in this relationship,” you poked him before you laid down on his chest, your fingers playing with his chest hair. “Now, tell me.” You pouted up at him.
“Bossy,” he tapped you on the nose. “The way you are with Liv, and the rest of the squad. It showed me that you were a kind, compassionate and caring woman. But what really settled it for me, was when you first brought Noah to the squad room after you had started fostering him.”
--
You cradled the little boy close to your chest, humming soothingly as you walked into the squad room. You had promised the team that you would bring your foster son to see them after you had taken time to settle down. You hadn’t even seen Rafael since the court agreed to you fostering. Liv had asked if you would be interested in fostering the poor little guy after the latest care situation hadn’t worked out. At first you had been unsure but the caseworker had let you hold Noah and see him for a few hours at the centre and you were hooked from the moment he cooed at you. The court had agreed to you fostering him, having an older sister who was a Sargent in SVU speak for you helped and the background check was easy, your job paid extremely well and your apartment was big enough for a nursey.  You had a year of just fostering him before you could petition to adopt him. That year couldn’t go quick enough as far as you were concerned .
“Hey guys, you got time for a special VIP visit?” you asked, your voice loud enough to draw Liv out of her office, Rafael following her. Your eyes locked and you were able to watch as he took in you holding Noah, his eyes softened as he looked back up at you.
“For my nephew?” Liv asked striding forward to meet you near the desks of the squad. “Always.”
“I will try to not take offence that I wasn’t included in that sentiment,” you teased handing over Noah to Liv who cradled him so tenderly.
“He’s gotten so big,” Amanda gushed her hand coming up to stroke the back of his head. “How’s he been?”
“Really good, the doctors said he is healthy, and he will probably start teething in earnest soon,” you grinned. “So that will be fun.”
Rafael came up to stand beside you, his arm wrapping around your waist as he pressed a kiss to your cheek. You smiled shyly at him, you weren’t entirely sure how he was going to take to you fostering the little boy.
“Mami suggested teething rings for him that we could put in the freezer,” he said holding a bag up. “I went and got some..”
The rest of the squad happily pretended to be distracted by the baby currently in Amanda’s arms but they all watched the couple, Liv especially was very invested in what was happening. You were currently wrapping your arms around Rafael’s shoulders a look on your face that Liv had never seen before.
“Rafi,” you cooed. “Thank you, I hadn’t even thought of that. Think your mum would be happy to provide some more advice and suggestions?”
“She would be over the moon,” Rafael grinned pecking you on the lips. “And…I would love to help in anyway I possibly could and in any way you want me to help.”
“Really?” you asked almost bouncing on your feet.
“Of course,” Rafael smiled. “If the squad can be torn away from little Noah I wanted to take the two of you out for lunch.”
“Let me see what I can do,” you planted a kiss on his cheek squeezing him tightly before you let go and spun around to face your sister and the others.  “I’m going to need Noah back, you lot. My man is taking us to lunch.”
Since your back was turned you missed how Rafael was looking at you. The expression on his face was almost indescribable, his eyes were impossibly soft and he couldn’t tear them away from you as you took Noah back in your arms, kissing him on his head as you teasingly hip checked Amanda who was pouting at you.
--
“And I later learned that you are fiercely protective of your loved ones,” Rafael’s voice dragged you back to the present. The look in his eyes similar to the one from that day when he came out of Liv’s office.
“Damn right I am, would burn the world for my family,” you agreed pressing a kiss to his chest right above his heart. “Would burn it for you.” Rafael smiled at you trailing his fingers across your cheek.
“Truly?” he asked.
“You’ve been stuck with me since the night you listened to me scream and yell at you, blaming you for Liv being taken by that fucker Lewis,” you propped yourself up on your elbows, hovering above Rafael. “And all you did afterwards was hold me. I had been determined not to let myself feel anything for you, to ignore the signs that you felt something for me, and that night…that night I decided to ignore every reason why dating someone who worked with my sister was a terrible idea.”
“Still think it is?” Rafael asked hands running up and down your back.
“No, not at all,” you rubbed your nose against his placing a kiss on it afterwards.
“Know what I remember from that night?” he asked you rolling the both of you until you were underneath him, your legs cradling his hips as he kissed up your neck and across your cheeks, nuzzling you.
“What’s that?” you asked, a little worried about his answer.
“I remember seeing you breaking apart and knowing that I had no idea how to help you,” he started. “That all I wanted to do was take your pain away. So if letting you scream at me was helpful at all then I would let you scream at me for however long it was needed.”
You stared up at the man that held your heart as it squeezed at his admission. You didn’t think you could love this man more than you already did, but having seen him with Noah and what he just told you showed that you were wrong.
“Rafael, I love you,” you whispered, eyes wet with tears. “I love you.”
You had never said the words out loud yet, Rafael had told you he loved you six months after you started fostering Noah. You had mentioned that after the last six months of the fostering where up you were going to petition to adopt Noah, you had asked him what he thought about it, you had practically moved in together without it being official. You figured you should ask him, concerned that maybe adopting a child might be the line in the sand for Rafael, the two of your had never talked about kids in your future and you knew that if Rafael didn’t want kids that it would be the end of your relationship. But the man had surprised you when he responded by saying that he loved you and would support you in any way you needed. You hadn’t known how to respond, you were a little like your sister in that regards, love was a little tricky. But Rafael took it in stride, like the most amazing man in the world, he hadn’t mentioned it again, at least not out loud, he did small things to show you that he loved you. And that he loved Noah.
“Mi Amor,” Rafael’s voice came out soft and hushed. “I love you as well.”
The rest of the night was spent in bliss, until the two of you curled around each other trading lazy kisses as sleep tugged you both under.
--
The following morning found you waking up alone in bed. Again. You were thinking you would have to talk to Rafael about that. You hugged his pillow close to you as you rolled onto your side, wondering if you should try going back to sleep, until you heard the most adorable sound. Noah’s laugh coming from the kitchen followed by Rafael’s soft chuckle his words not loud enough for you to hear. You smiled at the sound of your boys, a warmth building up inside. You could hardly believe how well Rafael took to Noah this past year, helping you when Noah started teething, on nights when he stayed over he would always shush you back to sleep if Noah cried as he got up to sooth him. He would take time out of his hectic schedule to spend time with Noah if you were busy with your work so you didn’t need to get a baby sitter. He joined you to any of the doctor visit’s he could, if Child Services made a visit he would try to be there if you wanted him there. He took the two of you out to lunches and picnics in the park.
Rafael went above and beyond, you knew he meant it when he said he would help out but you had no idea he would go as far as he had. In your mind you kept thinking of him as Noah’s father, though you hadn’t dared to say anything out loud. A part of you was still worried that some time soon Rafael would decide that being with you and a kid was too much, that he hadn’t signed up for this. But knowing that right now he was in the kitchen, most likely feeding your son, playing with him and making him laugh almost gave you enough courage to say something. You smiled reaching out to grab the shirt Rafael had left on the bottom on your bed, it was one of his with Harvard sprayed across the front. It fell to your thighs and smelled of him, he would also always leave one of his shirts out for you to wear in the morning.
You padded quietly out to the kitchen phone at the ready to catch what your boys were doing. You peeked around the corner and your heart squeezed at the sight. Rafael was feeding Noah his breakfast while also keeping an eye on whatever he was cooking on the stovetop, from the smell it was pancakes. You switched your phone from camera to video, catching as Rafael imitated an aeroplane with the spoon waving in the air before bringing it to Noah’s mouth.
“Yum, yum, right little guy?” Rafael asked. “Your mami only buys the best for our-her little boy.”
You almost dropped your phone at his slip up, your heart pounding. He was going to call Noah “Our son”, he thought of Noah as his son. You stopped recording and ducked back around the wall, hand clutched to your chest. Happiness burst through you, your smile growing. This was what you needed, after finally telling Rafael that you loved him, you wanted him to know that Noah was his son as well. That this entire time you had been coparenting Noah, and Rafael needed to know. You stepped into the kitchen coming to Noah kissing his head before giving him the last bite of food left.
“Morning love,” you said to Rafael. “Thank you for this, you didn’t have to.” Rafael turned around after flipping the pancake sending you a beautiful smile before he started to make you tea.
“I’m well aware I don’t have do to anything mi amor but I enjoy looking after you and-” you stepped up to him pressing a soft kiss to his lips interrupting him.
“Our son?” you asked. “Because Noah is our son, Rafi. If you want?”
“Amor,” Rafael’s eyes were wide in awe, tears filling them as he stared at you searching your eyes. “Truly?”
“Yes, Rafael, I have thought it for a while I just didn’t know if you wanted that,” you nodded rubbing your nose against his in affection. “But after last night and seeing you this morning I needed you to know.”
“Our son?” Rafael whispered. “Noah is our son.”
“Yes,” you nodded. Rafael grinned as he wrapped his arms around your waist, picking you up to spin you around as the happiest laugh filled the kitchen. He peppered kisses all over your face squeezing you tight.
“I love you mi amor,” Rafael whispered. “And I love our son.”
“We love you as well,” you whispered back. Rafael leaned down his hands cupping your face as he gently pressed his lips to yours before softly and gently moving his lips. Your hands gripped his hips stepping closer to him so there was no gap between your bodies. The kiss was passionate but without the heat of last night.
The two of you turned in unison as Noah’s giggle interrupted the moment between the two of you. Your son was sitting in his high chair giggling and playing with the spoon hitting it against the table part of his chair. Your lips pulled up into a smile at your son, at the happiness in his giggle. It had taken a while for Noah to express himself and every time he does you are so proud of him. Rafael grinned releasing you to lift Noah into his arms.
“Is our son happy?” he asked lifting Noah up enough to gently blow on his belly. “Does our son want to go to the zoo today?”
“The zoo?” you asked coming up beside your boys. “Don’t you have work?”
“I can take today off,” he grinned. “It’s been a while since we’ve spent the day together as a family.”
You tried to stop your smile from growing too much at the little white lie, you had spent time together last night but you knew to Rafael that this was different. This time you would be together as a family, where everyone knows that the three of you were family. Rafael was almost vibrating with happiness, as he pressed a kiss to your head.
“I’ll get our little man ready,” he grinned heading to the bathroom.
“You’re going to take any chance you have to say our family aren’t you?” you called as you started to clean up, tearing a piece off of the pancake on top on the pile and removing the last one from the pan. “And the two of us our eating the pancakes before we leave!”
“Anything for you mi amor! The beautiful mother of my son,” Rafael called his voice a little sassy but no less loving.
“Yeah, that man is not going to tire from saying that anytime soon,” you chuckled to yourself. And you knew that you would never tire from hearing him say it.

REQUEST GUIDELINES
If you have requests for characters outside of the above, please feel free to send them on anyway! The above are just characters I've written for before. If I'm familiar with the character/source material and the request meets my parameters, I'll be happy to give it a shot!
PARAMETERS:
I only write x reader. I don't really enjoy writing about already-existing relationships or character ships.
I only write for people with v*lvas. I absolutely welcome non-binary/gender non-conforming characters/readers. Just be aware that, where smut is concerned, I only feel confident writing about humans with v*ginas.
I don't feel comfortable writing dark!characters or smut that's degrading. Kinks and other smut-related requests I take on a case-by-case basis. But I absolutely will not write anything that even gets close to the line of non-consensual. No shade to you if the above are things you enjoy reading/writing, they're just personally not for me.
Autistic readers are so welcome! I love reading and writing x autistic!reader fics!
I do feel comfortable writing about the aftermath of trauma (sexual or otherwise), most mental illnesses, etc. I enjoy a good hurt/comfort fic and, as someone who's dealt with both of the above, I know it can be very comforting to read something that makes you feel like you're cared for and safe.
Send those requests on, bbs!

okay so hopefully your requests are open - i genuinely don’t know how to work tumblr 🥲🥲, anyway, would you be interested in writing like domestic olivia benson x fem reader fluff. like for example, getting the kids up for school, breakfast, maybe a child’s first day of school and reader and liv are so nervous/crying sort of thing. ultimately you have free range here, just some sort of ideas with this!
Tumblr media
Growing Up..
Thanks for requesting Anon! I’m sorry this took a bit to do, but I really love the concept!
warnings: poorly written fluff
word count: 848
a/n: Requests are open everybody! I write for quite a few fandoms, which I will make a later post about to clarify.
Olivia groggily opened her eyes, her body still heavy with sleep. She blinked a few times, trying to adjust to the bright light of the morning sun that was streaming through the window. As she shifted in bed, she felt the warmth of her wife’s body next to hers. y/n was already up, and Olivia could smell the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting into the room.
Olivia stretched her arms and legs, letting out a soft sigh. She had her first day off in what feels like forever, and she was looking forward to spending it with her family. She turned to y/n, who was now sitting up in bed, sipping her coffee.
"Good morning," Olivia said, her voice still husky with sleep.
"Good morning, Liv," y/n replied, smiling at her. "How’re you feeling today?"
Olivia groaned. "I don’t know.. It's Maya's first day of school, and I just can't believe she's already starting kindergarten. She's growing up so fast, too fast."
y/n nodded in agreement. "I know, it's crazy. But Maya is going to be just fine. She's a smart and brave little girl, just like her mom."
Olivia smiled, feeling a surge of pride. She leaned over to kiss y/n, feeling a rush of affection. They had been married for a few years now, but Olivia still felt that same spark of love and desire every time she looked at her wife.
They got out of bed and headed to the kitchen, where y/n had already prepared breakfast for the family. There were pancakes with maple syrup, crispy bacon, and scrambled eggs with cheese. Olivia's stomach rumbled as she took in the delicious smells.
"Wow, y/n, this looks amazing," the brunette said, taking a seat at the table.
"Thanks, love," y/n replied, pouring her a cup of coffee. "I figured we should start the day off right, especially since it's such a big day for Maya."
Olivia nodded, feeling grateful for her wife’s thoughtfulness. The woman ate her breakfast in comfortable silence, savoring the flavors while y/n went to get the kids up. Maya and their other two kids, Noah and Eli, soon joined Olivia at the table, chattering excitedly about the day ahead.
After breakfast, Olivia and y/n helped the kids get ready for school. They brushed their teeth, combed their hair, and packed their backpacks with all the necessary supplies. Maya was especially nervous, clinging to Olivia's leg and refusing to let go.
"It's okay, sweetie," The woman said, kneeling down to give her daughter a hug. "You're going to have so much fun at school today. You'll make new friends and learn new things. And me and mama will be here to pick you up at the end of the day."
The little girl sniffled, wiping away tears. "Okay, Mommy. love you."
"I love you too, baby," Olivia said, feeling her own eyes tear up. She gave Maya another hug before standing up.
"Alright, kids, let's go," the y/h/c woman said, her voice cheerful and reassuring. "We don't want to be late."
They headed out the door, Olivia and Maya holding hands and the others trailing behind them. They walked to the school, which was just a few blocks away from their house. Noah and Eli gushed about the Pokémon cards that their uncle had just bought them. The air was crisp and cool, and the leaves on the trees were starting to turn golden and red.
As they approached the school, Olivia felt a lump in her throat. She couldn't believe how quickly time had passed, how her little girl was now starting her academic journey. She hugged Maya once more, feeling a rush of love and pride.
"Good luck, sweetie," Olivia said, her voice thick with emotion. "I'll see you later."
The small girl smiled bravely, waving goodbye. "Bye, Mommy. Love you."
Olivia watched as her daughter walked into the school, feeling a mix of joy and sadness. She knew that Maya was going to do great, but it was hard to let go. She turned to y/n, who was looking at her with understanding and compassion.
"You okay, Liv?" y/n asked, squeezing her hand.
Olivia nodded, feeling a tear roll down her cheek. "Yeah, just emotional. It's hard to see Maya leave."
"I know," The y/h/c woman said, pulling Olivia into a tight embrace. "But she's going to be just fine. And we'll be here for every step of the way."
Olivia smiled, feeling grateful for y/n’s love and support. She wrapped her arms around her, holding her close. They stood there for a few moments, watching as the other parents dropped off their kids and the school day began.
As they walked back home, Olivia felt a sense of contentment wash over her. She had a wonderful family, a wife who loved her, and children who were growing up into amazing human beings. Life was good, and Olivia knew that she had everything she needed to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

So I heard you're opening requests again, but there's no rush on this. I read the imagine where Frederick's patient was a sketch artist who told him her feelings for him but he respectfully turned her down to which she accepted. Do you think you could write one for Rafa but the reader is left jilted and heartbroken? The person is also a secret admirer who leaves gifts for him
Tumblr media
“Who is that from?” Olivia asked as she eyed the clear box of what appeared to be chocolate covered almonds with a neatly fastened purple ribbon around it. You lowered your eyes in an attempt to hide the pink that was surely making its way quickly to your cheeks as your boss — ADA Rafael Barba — shrugged his shoulders and picked the gift up.
You hailed a cab, went straight home, changed into your pajamas, and put on your go-to pick-me-up movie before sinking onto your sofa. With a blanket over your lap, and your heart broken and bleeding in your chest, you reached for the chocolate-covered almonds, finally opening them.
“I honestly have no idea,” he replied, examining the box for the fourth time that day. “Nor do I know how whoever sent them knew that chocolate covered almonds are one of my favorites.”
“You got a secret admirer, Rafael?” Sonny inquired, dimpled smirk taking over his face as he sat in one of the seats in front of the ADA’s desk.
“That or someone’s trying to kill me, I suppose,” Rafael mumbled, setting the box down once more and beginning to listen to Olivia’s briefing on their most recent case while you set his long-awaited coffee down on his desk. “Thank you,” he said softly to you, glancing in your direction with a smile before he gave the Lieutenant his attention again.
You’d been working at the DA’s office for nearly two years as a paralegal, and had always seen the illustrious ADA in the hallways as he made his way to or from the courthouse downstairs. At first, you’d been content just to admire him from afar — even sometimes volunteering to work on one of his cases or sneaking down to the courthouse to watch him in action, though you always stayed near the back and ducked out immediately after the verdict was read. You grew to not only admire him, but begin to wonder what he might be like outside of the DA’s office. Night after night you would find yourself wondering various things about him. If he had a ritual when he arrived home from a long day. Whether he enjoyed leisurely reading the paper on Sunday mornings or preferred to immerse himself in a book. Did he prefer scotch or bourbon after a tough case? You always guessed the former.
Once you’d even followed him to Forlini’s and “bumped into him,” hoping he would invite you to join him for a drink, and he had, gesturing to the stool beside his and signalling the bartender for you to order yourself a drink. It was the first time you’d gotten to know him as Rafael, and not ADA Barba or Counselor as you so often called him. Though the majority of what the two of you had talked about was work-related, the few times you exchanged personal tidbits or anecdotes was enough to make him all the more intriguing to you.
Later that month, after you’d chastised yourself for being a borderline stalker and vowed never to follow him to a bar again, he — unprompted — asked you to stay late with him one night to work on a case. He’d been perfectly professional, and so had you… except for the fact that you fell in love with Rafael Barba that night.
"Y/N!" The sound of his voice, even partially muffled by the walls between his office and yours across the hall, made the downy hairs on your arm stand as the skin beneath developed tiny bumps. Inhaling deeply, you let out the air as you stood and walked past your fellow interns in the tiny, shared office that you all occupied to cross the hall and peek into his much larger office.
"Yes, Mr Barba?" You found him in the same manner you normally did, reclined in his chair with his feet kicked up on his desk and an open file in his hand. One hand held the manilla folder up in front of him while the free one squeezed and smooshed the stress ball he kept in his drawer.
"Would you do me a favor and dig out the files from the Kellerman case?" he asked, eyes still moving over the file in his hand.
"The one from last month?"
"That's the one," he answered, still not looking up from his reading material.
"Absolutely," you said, dutifully going to the file room down the hall and filling out a request slip. You chewed on your bottom lip, wringing your hands in front of you as you paced from one side of the hallway to the other, waiting for the case file. Taking a deep breath, you let it blow past your lips in a shudder, trying to calm your nerves.
In the two years with the DA's office, your crush on ADA Barba had never made it difficult to work with him. Sure, your heart would pound until your entire body thrummed with your pulse. Yes, your skin would often grow so hot that you were convinced it would sizzle should you splash water on it. But that didn't mean that you couldn't be just as professional as you'd always been. Even if one look into his green eyes would send you into a tailspin, making you feel as though you were in the middle of a tornado, with the entire world spinning around you.
"Y/N?" you heard from the clerk and blinked as you gave him a thankful smile before you took the file and made your way back down the hall. Knocking on ADA Barba's door, you carefully opened it and poked your head inside.
He still sat at his desk, but his feet had found the floor once more and his elbows and forearms pressed against the end of the desk as one hand scribbled notes on a legal pad. His lips were perfectly puckered in concentration and the little wrinkle between his brows prompted the corner of your own lips to curl upward.
"Mr Barba? I have the file you requested," you said, ignoring the flapping wings in your belly as you crossed the threshold and held out the file.
"Thank you. Would you mind staying and looking over that file for any similarities to the Efferman case?"
The sound of his voice rolled over your skin like a river of feathers that had been warmed by the blazing sun, raising goosebumps over your flesh. You licked your dry lips, wiping your free hand against your skirt. Your eyes fell on the hand not moving over the legal pad, following the thick vein that started as two blue lines below his knuckles then merged into one and ran down the center of his hand, disappearing again at his wrist.
"Y/N?"
You blinked, shaking your head and planting a smile on your face. "Yes, I'm so sorry. Absolutely, Mr Barba, I can do that."
"Let's set up on the couch, I could use a change of scenery," he said, dropping his pen on the yellow pad and standing.
His chest swelled with a deep inhale, eyes still on the yellow notepad as the air came out in a huff, his cheeks puffing outward with the noise. Taking up both the pad he'd been writing on and the file he'd been referencing, he made his way to the couch on the other side of the door and sat down. Glancing up at you as you sat next to him, he offered a brief smirk before putting his attention on the notepad on the coffee table.
Sitting so close to him allowed his musky cologne to surround you, overwhelming your senses until your head was swimming. Blinking several times, you cleared your throat and crossed your legs, opening the file and beginning to read. You tried to concentrate on the words in the file, but damn it if his scent wasn't driving you insane. Biting the inside of your cheek, you curled your toes inside your shoes and clenched your jaw. You could feel your shirt beginning to stick to your back as a light sheen of sweat built up there.
You could hear his breathing, slow and steady as you cast a sideways glance, trying not to stare at the peppering of grey he had beneath his temples. Why did he have to be so handsome?
"How are you doing in law school?" he asked, eyes still on his work as he annotated in the margin of his notes.
Your mouth fell open as you tried to articulate an answer, when your voice refused to come out, you cleared your throat. "Pretty good. I'm actually supposed to be taking the bar this weekend."
"Good for you," he mumbled absently, underlining a sentence before he turned to look at you. "You nervous?"
You blinked again, the only seamless thing you could manage to do. "Very."
"Don't be," he answered with a gentle smirk. "I'm sure you'll do just fine."
"T-thank you."
He knitted his brows. "Are you okay?" Your mouth fell open again, eyes widening slightly as you nodded.
In truth, your mind was still reeling from the conversation you'd overheard him having with Lieutenant Benson and Detective Carisi. Sure, he hadn't necessarily said anything bad about the chocolate covered almonds that you had snuck onto his desk. But it was the fact that they sat just as you'd left them that worried you, unopened. Swallowing the lump that had formed in your throat, you gestured to the clear, plastic box with the purple bow with your chin.
"I thought you liked chocolate covered almonds," you blurted out.
He furrowed his brows, turning his head slightly as his eyelids slid down suspiciously. "How did you know that was what they were?"
"Um…" Shit. Shit. Shitshitshitshitshit! "I overheard you talking to Lieutenant Benson earlier."
He seemed to only then remember that, yes, you had been in the room. In fact, it was not five seconds after he commented on the anonymous gift that you'd brought him his coffee. "That's right."
Well, him clearly not remembering your presence certainly bodes well for you. Bowing your head to hide your frown, you began to read the file in front of you while trying to calm the tears welling in your eyes. A heat settled on your cheeks and spread to your neck as you tried desperately not to blink so as not to ruin the case file in your hands with your tears.
"Sorry, I've been kind of in my own world today," he said, apparently oblivious to your efforts to not cry all over the Kellerman case. "Haven't been much use to anyone, trust me — hey…"
Oh great.
You flinched away from his touch when the backs of his fingers came to wipe on your cheek. "I'm sorry, did I… did something happen? Are you alright?"
You shook your head, holding a hand up towards him. A laugh escaped you as the water in your lower lids finally poured over, and you quickly wiped them away. "I'm fine."
"Yeah, you look completely fine," he replied.
You laughed again, unable to help it. You must've looked like a lunatic and kept your eyes averted so that you wouldn't have to see him see you like that.
"Come on, what's wrong? Something is clearly bothering you." His hand patted your shoulder before settling on the back of the couch.
"It's stupid, really." You tried to convince yourself that there was no one to blame except yourself. You had been the one that indulged in the fantasy of him feeling the same way that you did. You had allowed yourself to sink deeper into the feelings you had for him. You were the hopeless fool here, not him. "I'm in love with someone who apparently doesn't even know I exist."
You hadn't meant to tell him what was actually wrong, and judging by the surprised look on his face, he hadn't expected you to be so candid. Still, he cleared his throat and offered a sympathetic smile. "I don't know what to say."
You bobbed your shoulders, keeping your eyes on the file in your hands. "You don't have to say anything."
"I mean, even if I did, it would hardly be appropriate," he mumbled.
“I’m sorry if I crossed a line with the chocolates, I just wanted to do something nice for you and —”
“Oh…” His eyes went from you to the plastic box of chocolate, back to you. “You mean you… those are…”
You closed your eyes, wishing the floor would open up so that you could happily sink into the depths of hell and be done with it. The fact that he was clearly at a loss for words to the point of not even completing a single sentence was enough to make you wish you could just throw yourself from the window.
“Y/N, I’m your boss,” he said after a moment. “I’m so sorry, and I’m flattered, I —”
“It’s fine, can we just forget I said anything?” You were practically begging for a reset of the last ten minutes, but the look on his face indicated that it wouldn’t be so easy.
“I wish we could, but…” He gave a sympathetic smile and somehow that made you feel ever worse. “I’m sorry, I wish it were different, but it would be completely unethical for us to be anything other than colleagues.”
You nodded, ignoring for now the way your vision blurred. “Of course, I completely understand.”
He hesitated for a moment, as though there was something else he wanted to say. “And I’m so very sorry to have to do this, but I don’t think it would be appropriate for me to accept those now that I know where they came from.” He gestured to the box of chocolates. “I’m so sorry, I don’t mean to hurt your feelings, truly. I think you’re lovely, really I do, I just —”
“You don’t…” You chuckled pathetically through the tears that had finally begun streaming down your face. “You don’t have to explain yourself. I get it, it’s fine.”
Except it wasn’t fine. In fact, it was pretty far from fine. It was all you could do to keep yourself from sobbing out loud, relegating your tears to slow, silent streaks down each of your cheeks. It shouldn’t have come as such a surprise; why would someone as cultured and sophisticated as Rafael ever be interested in someone like you?
“Would it be okay if I went home?” You tried to keep the desperation from your voice, but it was about as useful as the chocolate almonds.
“Yes, of course. Go ahead, I can finish up here,” he replied. You were sure he thought he hid it well, but you could see the slightest touch of irritation in his eyes at having to go over the casefile himself.
Good, you found yourself thinking as you set both files down on the coffee table. If you had to face being rejected, the least he could do was finish researching his current case himself. The strange satisfaction was gone the moment you picked up the unopened box of chocolate covered almonds, and walked out of his office. You had managed to get all the way to the elevator before letting yourself break down completely, thankful for the late hour so that you could spend the entire ride down to the lobby alone with your tears. When the doors slid open again, you were just wiping under your eyes, sniffing hard and opening your mouth to exhale.

Can I tell you something? CloseFriend!Olivia Benson X Reader
Request: I know you prolly get a ton of these but could you do a (Y/N) x Olivia Benson. Here’s kinda what I was thinking. Y/N was kidnapped for several months, sexually abused, and tortured. Y/N escapes and makes it to Olivia to tell her everything that has happened. Over the past several months. But you can add a twist or two to it. Could it not be like in lovers, but just really close friends
A/N: Guess who came back from the dead! I hope you like it and I'm so sorry it took so long.
Warnings: kidnapping, abuse, beatings, inexplicit mentions of sexual assault, flashback, arson
-----------------------------
Tick Tock
Tick Tock
Another day...
Another beating.
Oh how you wish it would end.
“He came in drunk today,” you observed as he stumbled down the dimly-lit room, his movements unsteady and erratic. He weaved back and forth, struggling to maintain his balance with each unsteady step. His arms hung limply at his sides, and his shoulders were hunched. His glazed eyes searched the room, darting back and forth as if searching for something that eluded him and finally found yours. His breath was heavy and labored as he made his way over to the corner you were hunched over in. With each step, he stumbled and swayed, his feet scraping against the pavement as he fought to stay upright. He muttered to himself, his words slurred and indecipherable, and you closed you eyes ready for whatever it was he would do to you today. Your breath came in short, ragged gasps as you tried to calm the pounding of your heart. You were so tired and weak, there was no use in fighting anymore.
You braced yourself, ready for the blow, but it never came. You heard a loud thud and opened your eyes to see his limp body on the floor.
He had passed out.
You sat there frozen as it hit you.
You could escape.
You mustered all the strength you could as you stood up. He had gotten rid of the chains long ago, you had become to weak to fight back, so now with a deep breath, you made your way upstairs your heart pounding in your chest.
You knew you had to be careful, move quickly and quietly.
You were going to be free.
That thought gave you the strength to keep going, to push through the fear and uncertainty, and to make your way towards freedom.
------------------------------------
"We miss you! Where have you been?"
You were currently on a FaceTime call with Liv. You smiled hoping it didn't look too forced.
"I know I miss you guys too. I've been traveling. You know, just taking some time to explore the world and see new things."
Olivia looked skeptical. "Really? That's great, but it seems like a long time to be gone without a word."
You bit your lip, feeling the weight of the lie you were telling. "Yeah, I know. It's just been hard to stay in touch with everything going on you know with cell reception and all."
Olivia's expression softened. "Is everything okay, Y/N? You seem...different."
Your heart rate quickened. You weren't the best actor after all. You weren't ready to tell her.
Not yet.
"Liv I have to go, my...," you looked up and made it seem like someone was calling you, "uber ride just got got here and they're telling me to hurry."
Liv sighed before giving you a small smile, not fully convinced. "Alright. Call me when you come home."
"I will," you said before hanging up.
You sighed as you went back to the kitchen.
You were traveling...
but not they way you had told Liv.
You were hiding.
You weren't ready to face the world. Not after everything that had happened. You knew it wasn't you fault but yet...you felt as though it was all your fault.
You had stayed in this house for weeks after you had escaped. Every time you went out you felt dread and anxiety. You didn't trust the world anymore.
And so here you were, cleaning. You had spent weeks cleaning every inch of the house, wiping the grime off the walls and floors, dusting every piece of furniture, throwing out the food that had spoiled in the fridge. You had finally finished. You moved to the corner to pick up a dirty rag, and a sudden sense of dread grips you. You are hit with a flashback so strong it feels like you're living it all over again.
You're blindfolded, your hands tied behind your back. You're sitting on a cold, hard floor, and you can feel the rough texture of the blanket beneath you. You try to scream, but a gag is tied tightly around your mouth, suffocating you.
The memory is so vivid that it takes you a moment to realize it's not real. You're safe. You try to calm your shaky short breaths, but as you look around the room, everything starts to fall into place. The stains on the wall, the cracks in the ceiling, the position of the door, all match that room.
That room that had taken just about everything from you.
Your panic consumed you like a wildfire, burning hotter and higher with each passing moment. It was as if you were engulfed in flames, your body unable to find any respite from the searing heat. Your thoughts were like sparks flying in all directions, each one threatening to ignite another inferno within you. Your heart raced like a raging inferno, its beat erratic and unsteady. Sweat dripped down your face, as if your body was trying to extinguish the flames within. You felt like you were suffocating, the heat and smoke overwhelming your senses. You struggled to breathe, your throat parched and dry as if it had been scorched by the fire. Your mind raced with memories of the past, each one a scorching ember that threatened to ignite a new blaze of panic within you. You can't believe you're back here, in the same room where you endured so much pain and suffering. You feel like you're suffocating, just like you did when the gag was in your mouth.
You ran out of the house as if it were ablaze, your heart pounding in your chest. Once outside, you stumbled to a halt, gasping for air. But as you took in deep breaths, your lungs burned with each breath, and you coughed violently, as if trying to expel smoke from your body.
The world around you swirled, a dizzying blur of colors and shapes, as if you were still caught in the midst of the flames. You stumbled forward, trying to steady yourself, but your legs felt like they were made of rubber.
You leaned against a nearby tree, trying to catch your breath. Tears streamed down your face, stinging your eyes like smoke. You closed your eyes, trying to calm your racing heart and mind, but the memories of the past threatened to reignite the flames of panic within you.
Slowly, you regained control of your breathing, each inhale and exhale feeling less strained than the last. The smoke in your lungs dissipated, replaced by fresh air, and you felt a sense of relief wash over you.
You opened your eyes and looked around, taking in your surroundings with a renewed sense of clarity. You took a deep breath, and with each exhale, you let go of a little bit more of the fear and panic that had held you captive for so long.
It was time.
Time to finally say something.
Your heart raced as you dialed Olivia's number on your phone. You knew you couldn't keep the truth hidden forever.
When Olivia picked up the phone, you took a deep breath. "Hey, Liv," you said, your voice trembling slightly. "Can I tell you something?"
"Is everything okay?"
You hesitated. "Not really," you said, your voice barely above a whisper. "I just...I need to talk to someone. And I trust you."
You heard concern lace Liv's voice. "Of course, Y/N. Whatever you need, I'm here for you."
You took another deep breath, struggling to find the right words. "I...I haven't been honest with you, Liv. About why I've been gone for so long."
"What do you mean, Y/N? Where have you been? Are you okay? Do you need me to come tell get you?"
You shook your head. "I can't really say yet. But...something happened to me, Liv. Something I never thought would happen to me. And I'm ready to talk to someone about it."
You took a deep breath, gathering your courage to speak. "Liv, I need to tell you what happened." You could feel Liv's concern as she listened attentively. It felt like she was right there with you, even though you were miles apart. "I was held captive, Liv. For months. I was abused, tortured..." Your voice trailed off as tears welled up in your eyes. It was hard to relive the memories, but you knew you had to tell her. "I escaped, but I'm still dealing with the aftermath. The flashbacks, the panic attacks. It's like I'm still trapped in that place."
After you finish telling Olivia about what happened to you, she takes a deep breath and her voice hardens. "Y/N, I'm so sorry that happened to you. But I want you to know that you don't have to go through this alone. We will get you justice."
You can feel tears welling up in your eyes as she says those words. Justice is something you had never even considered as a possibility before. But with Olivia by your side, it feels as though it's within reach.
"Liv, I don't even know where to start," you say, feeling overwhelmed.
"It's okay, we'll figure it out together," she responds. "I know it's not going to be easy, but we have to try. You deserve justice, Y/N. And we're going to make sure you get it. Come home."
With Olivia's unwavering support, you feel a sense of hope for the first time in months.
You make your way to your car, a new sense of courage overtaking you. As you drove away, you heard the sound of raw and guttural pain carried through the air, distant yet distinct.
You were going to leave it all behind.
You smiled, knowing Liv would do everything she could to make sure you got justice.
Even if justice had already been served.
As you entered the highway, sirens blared past you, you looked at your rearview mirror, the large smoke clouds taking over most of the sky.
Justice had indeed been served.

Rafael could hardly believe his eyes. At first he thought he had fallen asleep in his office after too much coffee and too much paper work. But no, that definitely hadn’t happened. He was in the apartment he shared with his boyfriend. His boyfriend who was currently standing on the kitchen counter with…oh jesus that was bug spray and a lighter.
“Carino, I know you said you didn’t like the curtains but this is a bit extreme,” Rafael drawled as he put his briefcase on a chair.
“This isn’t about the curtains baby,” you retorted eyes not leaving one particular spot on the floor. Rafael looked closely at you, a light sheen of sweat covered your face and your knuckles were almost white as you gripped the items in your hands. Your muscles tense.
“Okay, then what is it about?” Rafael raised an eyebrow. “And can you please get off the counter and put the lighter down.”
“Not until that fucker reappears so I can fry it,” you growled.
“Need a little more,” Rafael prodded looking around trying to figure out what was going on.
“There was a massive fucking spider on the floor there,” you explained. “And then it just vanished so now I am staying here until it shows itself.”
“A spider?” Rafael was even more confused. To Rafael you looked scared. Very scared. But that wasn’t something he had ever seen on you. “I have seen you stare down guns and people holding knives at you but a spider has you like this.”
“Don’t tease me,” you almost whined at your boyfriend. “I don’t like spiders Rafi, they’re creepy as hell with all their legs and eyes and…and there it is!”
Rafael looked over his shoulder and saw the spider. It was small, nowhere near the size he thought it would be from how you are acting. Rafael sighed rubbing the bridge of his nose as he walked over and stomped on the poor thing. He did not want to risk you actually setting things on fire. Rafael turned around just in time to have you fling yourself into his arms. You were taller than him but at this moment Rafael felt like he was taller as you curled yourself into him, burying your head into his neck. Arms thrown around his shoulders as you nuzzled into him.
“Thank you,” you whispered. Rafael wrapped his arms around your waist, trying very hard not to chuckle. This side of you was new and he found it incredibly adorable, and he didn’t want anyone else to ever see it.
“Of course, Carino,” he patted your back, squeezing you softly. He found it amusing that his brave detective boyfriend was so afraid of spiders but at the same time a small part of him was a little pleased that he got to be the protector for once. “I’ll deal with any spiders, so no need to almost burn the apartment down.”
“…Shush,” you muttered, lightly nipping his neck. “And don’t even think about telling anyone about this.”
“Ah, yes, don’t want your reputation of being one of the most badass and intimidating detectives to be tarnished,” Rafael laughed hand coming up to tug gently on your hair. A whine left your throat at the action, the man knew exactly what he was doing. You went to pull away from him but Rafael held on to you. “Aw, don’t worry Carino. I promise I won’t tell anyone you needed a knight in shining armour.”
“Don’t be mean,” you muttered being able to move enough to look at him, his green eyes shining with amusement. Rafael caught your eyes, which still had a slight hint of fear in them, the sight of that smothered the rest of his amusement. He cupped your face leaning forward to kiss your cheeks and your lips.
“I’m sorry Carino,” he whispered. “I promise I won’t tell anyone.”
You smiled softly at him leaning to rest your forehead against his, nuzzling his nose. You had hoped that he would never find out about your fear of spiders. Last time someone had they made you feel so small, as if a detective of your size and demeanour couldn’t have such a fear. As if someone who charges into danger without a moment’s hesitation shouldn’t be afraid.
“Thank you,” you told him again kissing him. “Never had my own knight in shining armour but I’m glad you’re mine.”
“Well, it’s the least I can do after the times you have saved me,” Rafael grinned. “Now how about some dinner?”
“Or we could just skip right to dessert,” you suggested pulling out of his arms and walking backwards towards the bedroom, tugging on his hands.
“If this is the reward I get every time I kill a spider, I hope I find more,” Rafael grinned untangling one of his hands to loosen his tie, his eyes darkening as he stepped closer to nip at your neck.
