george orwell was pretty cool, actually.
ive observed that its a fairly common thread in leftist (esspecially the more broad “leftist unity”) spaces to say “hes bad, actually” or just more generally disavow him. Considering his whole body of work and all the things he did throughout his life and the positions he held, i think this is quite far from the right thing to do.

After a Fascist assassinated the Kaiser and much of the parliament by exploding a bomb in the Reichstag the Empire descended into Chaos with Communist Rising in Konigsburg and a popular syndicalist state being founds in Munich whilst Fascist seized the Industrial rhine. In Africa Ostafrika, Sudwestafrika and Kamerun become German ruled Independent nations however Togoland wars seized by France. Luxembourg also become Independent and Poland was swayed to Communism.

Nestle needs to be shut down.
This is not a goofy, ball pit-flavored post. This is about child labor. We need to not buy anything from nestle until they shut down. Not until they stop child labour, but until they shut down. It would not make up for the child labor if they just stop and apologize. They need to suffer, and pay. And an apology is not enough. Any company that even used it once ever must be shut down for good. Reblog (or do not i don't care) to join this movement. We need to french revolution. I mean, bust-out-the-guillotines-level revolution.

“Rural Americans aren’t leftists.” Fuck you. If you think that: fuck you. You are ahistorical, you are unwilling to look into this issue objectively, and you are not a leftist. The IWW- the oldest still existing syndicalist international- was born in Chicago, Illinois. The CPUSA is from Ohio. The Solidarity Party, the first Socialist Party of America, and the second Progressive Party were all born in Indiana. The original version of the Republican Party (back when they were radical abolitionists) and the first Progressive Party were born in Wisconsin. Famous artists of the New Left movement are from the Midwest- Robert Zimmerman was born in Duluth, Minnesota (and lest you think Bob Dylan’s hometown is some big metropolis: its most famous thing, other than Dylan, is a statue of a giant fish some guy caught in the 40s). The expression “Don’t cry, organize” were the last words of Joe Hill, a Utah resident, and union hymns were popularized by Harry McClintock of Kentucky. 100% of the important events in the history of American labor movement happened in Appalachia, the Midwest, and the Old West (Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, Idaho, and Montana). The majority of AIM protests are happening in the Dakotas. Rural America *is* where American leftist history is happening.
Why does rural American vote Republican then? Two reasons: Republican gerrymandering and Democrat surrender.
Republicans have gerrymandered most of the South and Midwest to prevent leftist strongholds from banding together. This fails in states like Minnesota and Illinois because the majority of their populations live near cities like Chicago and the Twin Cities, is moderately successful in states like Michigan and Wisconsin where population is more spread out, but works for most of the Midwest because our cities are pretty sporadic. Most Ohioans and Hoosiers are Democrats but- using Indiana cuz that’s where I’m from- Hobart, Indianapolis, and Terre Haute are not in the same area and population is spread out enough that the other less populated counties can sway elections in conservative directions.
So what about them smaller counties? Why aren’t they voting Democrat? Why are they failing us? Because they have no other choice. I grew up in Jasper County, Indiana. Has a population of about three thousand people. Every election your only options for local elections are Republicans. There is never a Democratic option and there has not been since the 70s. Democrats have given up Jasper County and it’s not like Lake County Democrats have any interest in sending their people south of the river to help out, as they called us, “Skankakee Valley.” After all, we were all metheads and white trash who wouldn’t vote for them anyways. Never mind that most workers in Jasper County belong to a union.
Shit like that, combined with state violence and economic depression within the South and Midwest are why these areas seem like conservative strongholds. It doesn’t have to be that way though and writing off entire regions of the United States because we’re “not leftists” is not helpful and it is not solidarity. So again, if you feel that way, fuck you.

Been on a bit of a Fallout 4 kick recently. Mashing it together with Worm like two tubs of differently-colored play-doh. Gotta say that of the four endgame factions The Minutemen seem like a faction that Taylor Hebert would most plausibly join and that this would. Not be a good thing

Libcom: The ABC of syndicalist sections
" This article was first published in the Swedish online magazine Syndikalisten in 2021. The author is a member of the Swedish syndicalist union SAC. The text is aimed at workers new to on-the-job organizing. A difference between the Swedish and English versions is that the English version (below) contains more examples of successful syndicalist sections. The English text also sheds more light on the so-called dual function of sections. Illustration: Fanny Hökby Author Rasmus Hästbacka Submitted by Joakim on August 10, 2023 Copied t…"
