Still more fluffy relationship headcanons for Astarion and Tav

You guys seem to really like these, so I'm keeping them going for as long as I can. And - I know I said I couldn't do requests atm - but when (if?) I run out of ideas how about you can send me prompts for headcanons on specific topics?

Here we go though, more small ideas and moments for these two idiots!

Astarion is a tease, always flirting with you (for the most part), always kissing you or touching you, always whispering something dirty directly into your pointy ear; sometimes even doing that flat out while you're out in public... with people around.

Deep down he's always wondering though when the day will come that you don't want to be with him anymore; you know that and you try your absolute best to remind him every moment of every day that you want to be with him forever, slowly working to turn the "when" into an "if" and then making him forget altogether

You are basically a street cat, but Astarion? He's a man of culture! And he loves to take you out and frankly just goddamn educating you

He takes you to museums, telling you in incredible detail about the artworks and the displays because he knows his history, also - he's incredibly smart; you enjoy not only him enjoying himself talking about stuff he likes but also just eat it up, eager to learn about stuff you never had the chance to before

Dancing: That's another thing. He knows all the dances: from the silly court dances Wyll showed you once, to the much more interesting and intimate ones where you're flush against one another's bodies

He teaches you, being so close to him, you can't stop fawning, holding you like you're something incredibly fragile and precious while moving you ever so passionately

You've never done this and are incredibly insecure at the beginning, but "Don't worry, love, let me hold you and I'll guide you, you just look pretty" - but then you pick it up quickly and it becomes one of your favourite pastimes with him

You have artful skills of your own though: since you're a former thief and had to stake out targets and places sometimes for weeks on end, you had a lot of time on your hands and taught yourself to draw a long time ago and drew whatever you had to observe: a nice compromise between keeping your eyes on whatever mattered and still having something to do

So, you finally draw him, something you'd promised him a long time ago when you merely had started travelling together; you spend a whole night just to get the first portrait right and Astarion gets uneasy because can't you just let him have a little sneak-peek?

When you show him the drawing, he's just speechless - "What, even more magnificent than you remembered?" you tease him, but you see how his fingers are tensing holding the paper and there's a single tear on his cheek when he looks and smiles at you broadly "No, love, just flustered about how you don't seem to get my chin right"; you call him a liar softly and he sniffles and draws you in for a really long hug and he thanks you deeply

Ah, I also love using these to sneak in facts and ideas for my Tav and helping me flesh out a backstory and more details for their story and relationship. Also don't mind me sprinkling a little angst on there.

Of course, the drawing idea has been imagined many times before and rightfully so, Astarion deserves it. But it's... I haven't drawn really in a loooong time but he really makes me want to give a portrait ago. I had to get it out for personal reasons.

I would like to ask you a rather specific question about your process, if you’re alright with that.

What thought process goes behind choosing a color for your lights and shadows? How do you do it?

I think you’re a master in creating a mood with light and the colors you choose really make DU Drow look like himself (true drow skin, just like i imagined it before ever picking up non-table top version of anything d&d!!) and gives your astarion this gremlin-like soft ugliness lol

Thank you so much! Colorful art is kind of a "new" thing for me, I used to do mostly black & white for comics and such. When I got into BG3 and decided to wanted to draw all these silly ideas out, I realized I was gonna have to venture back into it - It's far too colorful a world to get away with grays and inks alone.

What I'm saying is that I'm still very much learning! I'm glad you guys like my art but I definitely feel like my grasp on color isn't all it could be. I just do what I think looks good and makes sense with the setting!

First of all I think it's important to note that I usually have several different layers of shadow and light. FOR EXAMPLE:

AND THEN FOR LIGHTS... Each text color is a different layer, and that's not even all of them 😂

And the reason for keeping them separate is this: when first painting them on, I make a rough guess on the color, AND THEN-

Yup. I just fuck around with this until I'm happy.

Usually this lands me on (very muted) blueish or purple-y tones for shadows on a multiply layer, with the "base" shadow and for the lights it can be all matter of colors depending on necessity. You can also select your flats and individually change these colors per-surface. You learn what you like as you go! This isn't even a rock solid formula, I still experiment a lot and depending on the piece, the process can be both a lot simpler or a lot more complex than this.

A rule of thumb to start with is that natural light will usually constitute of gray shadows and very, very soft-yellow light - if there is even a need for any depending on your base colors/style. Night settings usually necessitate a slight blue hue on both shadows and light... However, this is art baby, do whatever makes you go "oh that's sick" when you look at it.

As for DU drow's skin, it is nothing but a mix of a grayish/brown base, shadow, and a reflective light! That's what sets him apart from the way I color light-skinned characters; light, when bouncing off his skin, usually (but not always) has a gem-like blue color. You can have all kinds of variations of this combo to give the skin on darker characters more depth.

OKAY THE FIRST THING I GOTTA SAY, and I mean this ought to go *without* saying but I’m still just going to say it: this is all JUST MY OPINION!! it’s subjective, I’m not saying other people are wrong just bc we may happen to disagree about this!

TO BE HONEST WITH YOU, though, I only really engage with “beyond canon” or “dubious canon” or “post-canon” content in the way I’m doing right here, which is to say, drawing silly requests to dress up CKat as Hatsune Miku or whatever. or sometimes drawing something featuring meat or candy DaveKat specifically for my dear friend bug, who loves the epilogues and HS2, and still has a lot of hope for a happy DaveKat ending in *both* timelines. (love you bug, love your optimism, and I hope for your sake that HS2 doesn’t disappoint!)

because **MY** opinion of all that is that it sucks and shouldn’t exist, lol. sorry!! I hate its very existence! I ignore it and I mostly avoid it because it upsets me deeply, and I only engage (very shallowly) with the elements I can fully get behind, which usually means “cool outfits” or “cool designs.” Davebot looks real cool, man! that’s about all I can say about him without wanting to vomit!! his very existence makes me sad as fuck and I hate it, idk what else to tell you. I hate that even though that story goes out of its way to point out how non-canon it is, just by nature of being an officially sanctioned product it kinda IS canon, and the fans sure treat it that way, and I’m not even saying they’re wrong. if Hussie wanted the epilogues to actually be treated like fanfic maybe they shouldn’t’ve attached their name, man, idk.

anyway, I know drawing CKat and Davebot as just silly little guys without actually fully engaging with/reading post-canon sorta makes me part of “the problem,” like those “fans” of Homestuck who don’t understand it at all bc they HAVEN’T READ IT yet insist on making art about it that misunderstands the characters? but tbh I just don’t like or respect post-canon stuff in the same way I like and respect the original work. to me it is fanfic, and not even like a good one that I would bookmark or download a PDF of, lol. sorry if this disappoints you! I still think the designs are cool ✌️

I have finally finished the first set of sixteen expression doodles/chat stickers! A thank you to @slugsjunk for indulging my nonsense and giving me characters to draw :3 This was fun for a lot of reasons, but a big one was that it gave me a reason to draw characters I never had before, which is always good for practice.

Here they are! :D (some of them I envisioned as having specific scenarios attached to them lol)

Ambulon: I imagine this was his expression when First Aid told him about jump-starting.

Swerve: he's nervous because he's not taken his visor off in front of anybody before, but don't worry, the person he's looking at thinks he's cute. (they're in my next set >:3)

You might notice he's missing his visor. @slugsjunk's sent an edit of a visorless Swerve to the "cursed-images" channel in our Discord server and then asked me to use him for one of the expressions. I deigned to make him a little less deeply upsetting.

Whirl: he's flirting with Cyclonus ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Cyclonus: oh shit he flirtin' bACK- (＃°Д°)

Getaway: I just wanted to make him cry. Is that so wrong? Kinda makes me angry how nice his highlights turned out.

Thunderclash: (I already posted this one earlier) he's laughing at some silly joke Rodimus made because he's a himbo in love with his captain <3<3<3

Lyzack: Black Shadow cannot tell her and Leo apart nor does he care to, and she's getting tired of being called the wrong name. That man better be glad he's made out of ununtrium or he'd be dead metal.

I've never understood why she looks like a recolored Starscream in canon, nor am I particularly a fan of how blocky and unmoving Leozack's helm is, so I made my own design. Fight me.

Black Shadow: speak of the devil He's lookin' at Blue Bacchus and being hella gay for him :>

Blue Bacchus: he was not prepared to deal with a genuine Shady smile this early in the cycle. Please, Shadow, he's trying to fuel. Let the man drink his energon before you make him swoon.

i was scrolling through your terror tag again and as someone who struggles with drawing clothes, particularly formal wear, i just have to commend you on how effortlessly you seem to be able to draw waistcoats and shirtsleeves and the like! not to mention beloved nedward’s security blanket of a sweater. in your learned opinion, do catboys and dogboys have any distinctive ways of dress or accessorizing their unique features? iirc fitzjames put bows on his dogboys but i’m just picturing like. welsh caps with little holes for kitty ears for example :))

aww thank you my understanding of waistcoats and puffy sleeves comes from drawing 100s of images of izzy hands for the past 2 years, i honestly still struggle to draw most other clothing and drapery pains me on a psychic level, if i ever get blorbopilled over someone who wears long flowing dresses it might be the end of me

answering your qs below cut bc it got super long bc i think about clothes too much:

ok you're entering a territory of thinking that has legit kept me up at night bc like if you put a regular welsh wig on them then their ears will move and shift the wig and if you have holes in the wig for their ears then their ears will get cold thus defeating the purpose of the wig so the best solution i can think of is that they either wear a bonnet-like contraption that ties at the chin or they wear a loose balacava situation like what billy wears during hickeys hanging. the bonnet would surely be deeply uncomfortable and make hearing difficult so i imagine its not a popular choice, by that logic they must not enjoy wearing hats generally speaking which is interesting when you consider the importance of hats in victorian culture and how going out without one means you're not properly dressed, not sure this is the answer you expected but these are my convoluted thoughts

in terms of other clothing quirks the main thing is the presence of tail holes in trousers. these are adjustable using either ribbons or buttons which close over the top of the tail after the wearer has put their trousers on. these trousers are pricer than human trousers so often cat/dogboys make due by just ripping and restitching the seam of human trousers or, if they have short tails, they can tuck their tails into the human trousers. jopson has been altering his own trousers to include tail holes ever since he was adopted by crozier and now he alters the trousers of all the other catboys too since its cheaper. when fitzjames adopted tozer one of the first things he did was get tozer measured so he could have custom tailored trousers with a reinforced band to accommodate his powerful tail wagging. tozer, who has spent most of his life in generic navy-issued uniforms, found the sensation of wearing clothing that actually fit him and his extremely fluffy tail to be very very bizarre.

speaking of fitzjames, i had him put bows on dundy and tozer because i think jfj would love to be a pet influencer. if instagram existed you knooooow he would be dressing up dundy and tozer in silly outfits on the regular and posting daily for internet clout. anyway, the bows thing in dundys case is actually practical because it helps keep his long ears out of the way and makes him look more "dressed", kinda like how victorian women would tie their hair up when in polite company. a lot of dogboys with long ears do this. dundy usually ties it himself but when he was young jfj would help him. jfj will sometimes tell him to wear a specific ribbon for outfit coordination reasons, but usually dundy just wears a standard white / navy one to match his uniform. when theyre hauling south he loses those ribbons and is forced to tie his ears back with twine and scraps of fabric or forego tying them entirely.

It wasn't easy for you. Working so close to her. It wasn't the same back on the ship. Now in new Asgard, having her so close to you, hearing her commanding voice all the time, and watching her lift all those boxes. Why was she always lifting boxes? It made your brain short-cut every time. You tried really hard to be subtle about it, to keep your distance away from her so she wouldn't watch you come undone like that. So far you had succeeded. 

Or so you had thought.

Last night she was outside pacing back and forth, her arms wrapped around herself, it was late, very late and the lights were glimmering. From the corner of your room, you could look outside. Sleep never came easy to you waking up in the middle of the night was common for you. Most of the time you just got up, found a book, started writing, anything to keep your mind occupied. And away from all the memories of your previous home. But that night, you just sat upright on your bed and looked at her, fantasizing about the future for the first time in a long while. It felt magical, somehow. All of your lights were off, you were sure she never saw you.

But that wasn't the truth.

She had seen you, she had been noticing you for a while now, observing you, seeing your reactions, hearing your heart skip a beat. Staring at her arms and taking a long time to breathe again. The thing she was interested in though was why wouldn't you make a move? Was it shyness or insecurity? She was interested in finding out soon enough. The sooner the better. Brunnhilde was not the patient type.

The next morning you were at the docks once again, counting boxes and organizing them to their destinations. There she was once again, ready to lift. Incredible. You sigh and take a deep breath, ready to not make a fool out of yourself, and instead, you adjust your scarf high on your cheeks and lips and continue your work, lowering the beanie on your head. The less she could see your face the better. And yet, you were staring once again.

"Can't stop staring, huh?" Brunnhilde asks you before placing the heavy box on the ground. 

"Can't blame you." She winks at you and turns around to pick another box and place it in its designated spot. You feel flabbergasted and quickly you try to walk away and pretend to be busy with something. 

"No need to be shy!" She shouts after you, mortified you hide behind the big truck and inhale and exhale deeply. She didn't have to know your silly little crush on her and your pure fixation on her arms. 

Ever seen a woman so beautiful you cried?

Quickly you get to your feet and move behind the shipment, hoping she will lose interest in your or get back to her work or anything and get a moment of peace. 

Or so you thought, once again. 

You sink to your feet and sigh deeply placing your hands on your face. Unfortunately for you, she has decided to come after you, and the next moment you hear her cough. 

"You sure are going through it, huh?" Mortified you look at her, eyes widening. 

"You know if you could actually open your mouth and say a word we might have found some common ground." Confused you draw your eyebrows together looking at her. What could she possibly mean by common ground?

"There are tons of things I can do with my arms. If you asked I would only be inclined to show you." Oh? There is a different kind of spark glistening in your eyes and Brunnhilde takes notice. She comes right in front of you and crosses her arms, only to watch you lose your breath again. 

"You really go non-verbal, huh? Interesting. " She nods her head skeptically and grimaces. 

"If you're interested in finding out more, you can come by my place when the night falls." She winks at you and shifts the weight on her feet. 

“You won't have to talk, only admire." She continues a singing tune and then turns to walk away.

Looks like you got a date tonight.

Plenty of time to find your voice.

first course completed!

that was arc 1 of introduction to magic.

and this is the first drawing i made of the main characters all the way back in 2019

what is this

now that the first arc is done i would like to take a chance to actually stop and properly self promote a little here. it was about time.

i am currently writing a novel called Introduction to magic, an examination of a magic system i came up with by way of following the lessons of magical apprentice Katerina Dolcevita under the aprenticeship of Maria Bellanova. the best way i have to summarize the feel and tone of it all is Fantasy AU-R63! Rick and Morty. imagine if rick and morty were both women and they were exploring magic rather than sci fi.

the first arc is intended to be a prologue of sorts, to get you up to speed with the nature of this world and the nature of the two main characters.

where this came from

i came up with the story and the concept around this world proper in 2021, while reading pale. i was looking at all the extra material that wildbow had written for its magical world and i found myself really wishing that we didnt have to just see excerpts from the magical books like famulus or 100 years lost. and it came to me that if i really want a book about magic to exist then i can just write one myself.

the magic system in this story follows a bunch of my own deeply held beliefs about life and magic. mainly that is kind of silly how we insists magic doesnt exist when we have things like computers and planes and psychodelics. it occured that if we were to live in a world where magic was real we wouldnt call it magic either, we would just think of it as the normal state of affairs. there is a post i read here, which i cant find right now, which said something about how weird conciousness is, how strange the fact that conciousness arises from the specific configuration of a brain. about how conciousness is the last, mysterious, seemingly ineffable property of reality. they concluded that we live in a fantasy world where our magic system has only one spell "summon daemon". obviously a lot of it was merely poetic and rethorical devices to see with fresh eyes of wonder something we take for granted.

and a lot of this book stems from a similar wish to want to see the mundane with eyes of wonder once again, which is why i insist that low level magic in this world is things as basic as writing and lighting a fire. is also the reason why a lot of the titles that i use for the magic specializations are normal every day professions.

the second, stronger impulse was to try to come up with a system of magic that could be broad enough to grasp all possible forms of magic humans have come up with and yet simple enough that could be understood in a few pages. the classification system i use on this book is based on all the broadest, most basic forms of magic practisce that i have seen in history and fiction. manipulating signs as drawings and writing, manipulating sound as voice and song, using tools and props, moving the body, combining and refining substances and materials, handling living creatures.

what's next

as we move forward on this story the format will switch to a more traditional narrative where we will properly follow the adventures of these two ladies. ocassionally i will dip back into textbook-like sections where i infodump about another interesting concept i thought of, but even in the narrative sections most of the chapters will be an excuse to explore some concept or idea. i gather by sheer quantity 80% of the content of this story is going to be maria explaining things to Katerina.

so yeah, if that sounds at all interesting please do read this, and please do leave a comment, i really want to see what people think of this work. i dont need money or donations or to be engaged in any algorithm, all i need to stay motivated and energized and thus continuing the story is to know that people are invested in it.

Do u have a sixth sense for when I wake up OH MY GOD. Right now I am on my measly phone on measly 18%. So forgive if some of these HC’s are a bit rough or the formation is weird.

Today, Frost particularly tickles my fancy.

Look at her and that goofy haircut. So silly.

- You already know this one, but I headcanon her as Wasian! Specifically French on her dads side and Taiwanese on her mom’s. It just seemed to fit her. I also gave her the name Hsiao Han. She grew up with just her mom in France until she was orphaned at seven or eight, and found by Kuai Liang.

- Frost always wanted Kuai Liang’s approval. She’d never had a father figure, but he did not seem to have any intent on filling that gap for her. As a child, she couldn’t help but wonder why he took her in if only to raise her as a weapon. Kuai Liang thought he was doing what was best, giving an orphan a home. Frost felt used.

- She thought then, that it was her ranking. If she could just become something more than a ninja he had to order around, she could receive the attention, affection, and validation she wanted so badly. So, she set her sights on being the next Grandmaster. By any means possible.

- Her ending is so bland and lazy, and i fucking mean that. Not once did she EVER want to coat the world in a winter wonderland, and the Cyber Lin Kuei operation was just a means to get acknowledgment, it literally debases her whole character and makes her a stock villain. Lets be real, she’d go more of a Kung Lao or Sindel route. She’d want to be praised and her efforts be seen. She’d want something that feeds into her confidence and desire for recognition, not a world of ice and snow with a bunch of robots.

- Can’t draw for shit. But she can sing, and she can embroider and sew. Not that she’d ever admit to that last one. She refuses to be delegated to patching up clothes.

- There’s like a blank space where we have no idea what she’s doin’ in the canon. So i head canon during that time she joined up with the Black Dragon. After all, she was seen fighting Cassie in one of their operated fighting rings???

- A bit of a klepto. Not like diagnosed or an actual psychological problem, but yeah she’ll just lift things from people. Pens, things she likes, never heirlooms though. She has a base-level respect in that regard.

- She can’t remember her mother’s face, only her death, and it bothers her deeply.

- Even though Scorpion nearly killed her when she ambushed him during that peace meeting, she actually…doesn’t hate him? He recognized her skill enough to not pull a single punch. She only resented Kuai Liang in the whole situation.

- She knows all the gossip, but doesn’t actually spread it. No, she collects it and then investigates to use as blackmail on people.

- Her room is a mess. Not with dirty clothes or dishes but just…messy in general. Like damn girl how do you know where anything is. She does have a big ass, soft ass, queen sized bed in her room also.

I did want to gush and say why I love your Pin (and all your other gijinkas) and felt really seen. It's because of how unique and out of box the designs are that you rarely see with other designs, while still capturing the same personalities and aesthetic (and even shape sometimes) of the original characters.

But to be specific, thank you for making her super feminine and pretty, while keeping her punk side!!! >u<

Alot of other gijinkas design her in typical biker / rebel chick get up w/ a lot of metal spikes, which dose makes sense, because of her metal part on the top of her (and fits her tough leader role personality wise) a lot of also make her body type in an hourglass, which also makes since, since Irl pins are in those shapes.

But what I really appreciate about your design is that you went in the opposite direction! I love how you made Pin wear these big poofy clothes and aprons! It's not only an easy and unique way to reference the shape of an actual pin, but it highlights a side of her that I don't really see the fandom highlight all that often. Her love of baking, gardening, her being bit of caretaker and just an friendly and easy-going person. I also just love seeing blk and poc women just being so happy and being femmine, it's so rare to see that and makes me so happy.

But another small design choice that I can't over and that made me go over on the edge on the "omg she's literally me" train. Are her punk boots! I know it's there to show off how big and tall she is compared to her meow, but I really like the contrast! And still showing off a little of her and toughie side, that she doesn't mind getting dirty. I love you can show off that is a caring and soft person yet still commanding woman by just a design!

This means so much to me, because I didn't think I could consider myself part of the alt community, due to me being really femmine and plus sized, I thought I didn't really fit, but I think seeing your version of Pin made me realize that being "punk" means so many diffrent things, and I don't really have to be super thing and pale to order to be an part of that culture, and never realizing that I could be considered pretty

Also, I just love how you draw her with your version of Coiny, it's so adorable and again, it's amazing to see a happy plus sized girl being loved and adore by a guy, not be treated as joke., thank you so much

I love this drawing of Pin so much, you have no ideal it meant so much, I know it's sound silly that a doodle affected me, but seriously, I thought I could never look fit in or look pretty in that aesthetic with my weight, interests, and skin

When I saw this and started really seeing myself in it, literally I went in my head "wow, if your Pin can look so beautiful in that, I guess I can!" and it somehow changed a lot of my perspective of me.

boku no papa to papa no hanashi, by roji: ok this is actually one of my favorites OFISAJOFJ I would say top 1 fav bl. I just think it's gorgeous. I love the themes they discuss, the hardship of being a gay parent and how to raise someone. love it sm

the eve festival, by pharmacy: this one is a webtoon that I love it and find it sooooo fun!! I absolute love pharmacy's art style and the way they draw expressions, so that makes the reading experience even better. they are silly, love them.

cherry magic, by yuu toyota: a classic that will never get old. it's funny, gentle, caring and just such a fun reading. it's impossible not to feel happy while reading it!

fake fact lips, by machi suehiro: I kinda love banter to love plot but I feel like not everyone can pull it off right, but suehiro-sensei made it right. they are so stupid and in love...and the art is just AMAZING.

keisenjou no cantata, by dentou hayane: hayane-sensei is one of my favorite bl authors. I think the way they write stories are very tender and very beautiful. this one in specific is the sweetest to me. I can't recommend it enough, I just love it a lot.

kieta hatsukoi, by wataru hinekure and aruko: i think this one already became a classic, right? it's funny from beginning to end and so delightful to read. perfect for a time you want to read something light!

3 ban sen no campanella, by atsuki kyouyama: this one hits hard to me because I feel like the protagonist is extremely demissexual, so that hits home perfectly as a demi person. it's a beautiful story about self discovery and acceptance. beautiful.

bonus:

sankaku mado no sotogawa wa yoru, by tomoko yamashita: this one isn't focused on romance, focus more on discussing good and bad, questioning life and much more. if you're interested in romance I wouldn't recommend but if you want a mystery, go for it.

cure blood, by arata togaya: I'm not a vampire girl, but I became one when reading this. GOD IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL, but not a very happy ending story. something to cry a little.

link and ring, by yuruco tsuyuki: honestly this is just a story about two people who love each other deeply. and I love that for them.

a queen in every sense of the word. a paragon of beauty and grace, with her presence alone instilling a sense of awe. dorothea's eyes sweep over the woman's tall and elegant figure admiringly — there is no doubt in mind that ivy draws the eyes of all who behold her. "i've been meaning to ask about your lipstick! the color is lovely. is it a mixture of pigments or a singular shade?" she raises a gloved hand to motion at her own lips. "i was thinking of trying something new myself."

with the gesture comes a small jingling sound that reminds her of her brooch, from which dorothea quickly plucks a small bell to hold out in offering. "oh! how silly of me. i forgot to ask...would you like to trade, professor?"

To be greeted with a smile from Dorothea is an honor Ivy finds herself deeply joyed to be bestowed.

“Dorothea.” Ivy says, smiling in turn. “Yes, it’s been a pleasant night thus far. And, thank you — it truly is nothing special… you look divine yourself. Word of your beauty does not truly do it justice.”

And truly, they don’t — the rose of the Mittelfrank Opera blooms even more beautifully in person, and it is no mystery why there is said to be a line of suitors that wrap around Adrestia’s capital vying for her hand. 

“Oh… my lipstick?” Hands instinctively raise to her mouth, fingers ghosting over the color on her lips. “Thank you for your kind words, but I’m afraid I don’t quite know the specifics myself. My little sister gave it to me before I departed for Fódlan — something to remember her by, she said.”

Ivy reaches into her clutch and produces the lipstick — a vibrant, almost violent, pink thing wrapped in a matching ribbon. She twists off the cap to a reveal a more muted shade, a color akin to deep red, akin to the core of a rosebud. 

“I have it here if you’d like a closer look.” Ivy holds the lipstick out to her, and plucks a white feather from her brooch to hand over in addition. “How about this? I’ll take your bell, and you take my feather and try my lipstick.”

Tbh NOTPs are something I don’t really care too much about, mostly because I tend to stick to interacting with things I enjoy and avoid things I don’t, so I don’t spend much time thinking about what I dislike. This has been true for pretty much forever for me with shipping. I can’t even name NOTPs from past fandoms tbh…It’s all just personal preference with fiction at the end of the day and I like being in my little beloved Prickcest bubble. 🥰

NOTP is super specific so I’m just going to broaden/define it as a ship I don’t like. So for that, I don’t like Rickorty. I avoid it because it really isn’t for me…

13. What's a character or ship you haven't written/drawn yet but would like to some day?

Beth/Space Beth, I mean come on Prickcest parallels but they actually made it work?? 😭 Plus it’s cute to imagine SB encouraging Beth to stand up for herself and Beth getting SB to open up, maybe even them doing a silly adventure together sometime. Plus I’m kinda scared one of them is gonna die maybe, (esp with the clone story meta in s7, don’t think I forgot about that) so tragedy potential through the roof. I think it would be a really fun ship to explore.

A runner up to this is Doofus Jerry/Jerry, yes I entirely blame garabe (@/invisiblegarabgetruck, their art is so good/funny/cute, all of the above 🫠🩵don’t want to bother them with a tag 🥲) but idk it’s just one I’d love to draw for some day, I haven’t thought too deeply about writing for though yet, I still need to finish the comics first and actually read the DJ arc. 💀 I’m a master of putting even things I want to do off.

I think I have a ship type ngl, who knows you better than yourself gone wrong lmao. Idk I just love the aspects of getting to learn more about themselves through external conflict and how bizarre their internalised/self normalised interactions can be. Big fire, big burn, into the ashes and no return” just like a perfect reference to everyone being turned into literal ash! it works so well with the chaotic, destructive nature of blanc.

For how long have you had this account? Technically around eight years (the original @demdifferentstories account), but this one is around nine months old I think?

Favourite food? I'm forever a slut for chocolate!

Favourite drink? Really depends, honestly! But you can never go wrong with Coke/Pepsi (can you tell I have a bad sweet tooth yet?).

Do you have any siblings? Three, and I'm the youngest of them.

Do you have pets? Yes - a very silly, chaotic bichon frise. He's the third dog I've had. My cat passed away earlier this year and I miss her deeply!

How old are you? Just turned twenty!

How many languages do you know? Just the one (English), however, I was pretty damn good at Japanese in high school and I'm keen to learn other languages.

What's your all-time favourite movie/tv show? Movie is easy - Spider-Man (2002). It's been my favourite film for sixteen years! In terms of TV, Friends has always been a big comfort show for me as I grew up watching it. Broadchurch and Jessica Jones Season 1 are some of the handful of shows I've rewatched multiple times, so I think it contends. Regarding Doctor Who, I really only genuinely care about RTD's era, so not overly sure if that would qualify!

What are you enjoying to do in your free time? At the moment, all I really do in my free time is write :,) But I also read, play guitar and sing, and I draw and embroider every so often.

Are you an introvert or an extrovert? Ambiverted with a tendency towards extroverted - once I'm comfortable with you, it's hard to keep me away!

Your favourite music genres? Metal and rock! More specifically, I've always enjoyed metalcore and other emo subgenres, but I listen to an array of bands.

Your dream place to visit? I would really like to visit the UK/Europe - specifically (Northern) Ireland, England, Scotland and Italy. I'm not the biggest fan of travelling, so I'm content with staying where I am.

Something you wish you were better at? I've always had really bad practising habits, so I wish I was more proficient in my guitar playing - it's something I always add to my New Year resolutions lol. Would also like to pick up piano, and I wish I was still into art/drawing as much as I used to be. Also would like to be a bit better at acting - I think I've gone a bit stiff since transitioning from high school theatre to university theatre as the classes aren't as practical.

How long do you take to respond to texts? ASAP! I'm not afraid of being an immediate responder. However, I might take a while if I'm busy/unavailable or if I'm not in the mood to talk to people (not anything personal - constantly socialising at uni and work drains me a lot and can make me a bit overstimulated/whelmed, so I just need alone time to balance it all it as I can find messaging to have the same effect as physical interaction/communication).

Do you have any tattoos? If not, would like to? I have three - one is a peace lily (namesake), and the other two are text ones related to the band Muse. I have about a dozen more planned, but they are expensive.

What's your sexuality? Bisexual!

Do you like reading? If yes what's your favourite book? Love reading, but I've found myself with not much time for it this year (including fics :(). My favourite book is Red Dragon by Thomas Harris - it's the first installation in the Hannibal Lecter series, and I think it's criminally underrated and overshadowed by The Silence of the Lambs. I also really loved The Handmaid's Tale when I read it - stuck with me for a long time.

Have you ever been in love? I don't think so. Maybe a little bit?

What's your relationship status? Single, but content.

Have you ever been heartbroken? Not romantically, but definitely by friends and family.

Best memory you could think of? I have a pretty horrible memory, but I can still recall the excitement I felt about my first concert.

Worst memory you can think of? Ah, my greatest strength! I won't delve into the more sordid/upsetting parts of my life, but things like having meltdowns/overstimulation prior to my diagnosis and not really understanding what was wrong with me were always quite upsetting for me.

Do you have any fears? I've always been a pretty bad arachnophobe, but I've gotten better. We won't get into others.

Are you a morning or a night person? It tends to shift depending on an array of things, but probably night - I have bad habits of staying up.

How many pictures you have on your phone? 12,314 (yes, I know - I'm insane).

Who was your favourite childhood crush? Oh, boy. Well, we can credit Kirsten Dunst and Kate Winslet to my (subconscious) bisexual awakening. In terms of men, I always thought Tobey Maguire had a cute quality to him.

Are you a romantic? I mean I don't really have the data to back it up, but I'd say probably - I have plenty of romantic fantasies and desires. Plus the shit I write can be so mushy and intimate.

What’s your dream date? No idea, really. Probably something that allows us to be relaxed, take our time and chat - a meal, a walk, etc. I imagine I would probably already be heaps stressed out about going out on a date, so avoiding overstimulation and such would help my case heaps.

What are your hobbies? Music, writing and reading are the primaries. Embrodiery is a smaller one that I hope to make more regular again. I also collect vinyl and CDs. Hope to get more involved in acting/theatre production during the rest of my degree too!

I've had plenty of great interactions with Luigi fans and made friends with some of them, so I like to believe the bad comments I get sometimes are just a loud minority :) I mean asks like this one kinda give more evidence that this is the case haha
