No cause i can imagine how angry Gabimaru must've been when he heard the Doshin talking about Mei the way they were.

Gabimaru comes from Iwagakure, a village well known for many things and one of them is NOT their good behaviour towards women. Gabimaru probably grew up being surrounded by the objectification of women, women are born to be married off and bare more children, most of those marriages probably weren't good and Gabimaru most likely witnessed them.

Then he married Yui, Yui who he grew to love with all his heart and then he had to come to terms that all the bad things he saw and heard also applied to Yui, and when Yui was branded and scarred like she wasnt a person, he realized the objectification and awful statements and horrid expectations was a reality Yui his beloved wife was expected to live, a reality he could never truly protect her from.

Now here's Mei, a girl who in many ways is similar to Yui, and here are men talking about her in ways he has probably heard before from back in Iwagakure, of course he's going to lose his temper, he could never fully protect Yui but he can and will protect Mei.
