The End of Alice by, A.M. Homes

I almost didn't finish the book. I didn't like how the narrator spoke. It gave me Paradise Lost vibes, and let me be honest o didn't finish that book in High School. 🤣

As for the ending, did he get out of jail? That was kind of weird. He says he sees her, I assume he means Alice. So the. One might think he died. Or is just crazy? I'm just lost, to be honest.

I wanted to hear from the girl who was writing him. Not his interpretation of her letters. Telling us what he thought she'd do or was thinking. It's hard to honestly know what happened.

I am glad we found out what happened to Alice. I was scared at times we wouldn't. Didn't see what happened coming so it was kind of shocking.

A bit of advice if you start this and don't want to finish, you don't have to, you're not missing much.

So I'm about 66% done with this book... I'm having a hard time following if some of what is said is real or was it the narrator saying what he wanted to happen? It's a bit confusing.

I'm not going to lie it's been that way throughout the whole thing. The way the narrator speaks seems like he's writing Paradise Lost, but worse.

Anyone else's thoughts. Please don't ruin the ending. I'm on page 182.
