Fun Fact
BuzzFeed published a report claiming that Tumblr was utilized as a distribution channel for Russian agents to influence American voting habits during the 2016 presidential election in Feb 2018.
Art the Clown is the main antagonist of the Terrifier series primarily portrayed by David Howard Thornton. Art is a sadistic, demonic clown whose only sole purpose is gruesomely massacring and maiming any in his way for no other reason than thinking it fun.
As far as the sociopath angle, I think Art meets most of the requirements. For one, superficial charm. One thing about Art is that he cannot talk whether it is because he chooses not to or is incapable is not known. But there are moments where Art can be oddly charming such as offering one of the girls in the first Terrifier film a plastic ring he got from a vending machine, or when he hands out candy to kids using a severed woman's head as the bowl. There are moments where he can be genuinely funny whenever he is not being murderous.
Then there is the grandiose sense of self-worth. One thing that comes to mind is the many times he commits a brutal murder, he writes his name like a painter illustrating their work. It is something he takes immense joy in and makes it a point to ensure people know he did this.
Art has a constant need for stimulation and can act impulsively whenever he is going in for the kill. Rather than just stabbing the person and being done with it, Art would instead find creative ways to prolong the suffering of his victims as long as he wanted and ensuring the experience the most excruciating pain.
And, naturally, Art lacks empathy or remorse for any of the many victims he has tortured and murdered. Or eaten chunks from. His relationship with the Little Pale Ghost Girl only amounts to them both loving blood shed.
I keep seeing people complain that William Afton doesn't have a motive in the FNAF movie but, as someone who watch true crime and is interested in the psychology of criminals, serial killers don't often have one in the sense y'all want. Yes, in stories, you are used to have a detailed motive, but motives for serial killings are often simply "feeling powerful", especially when the victims are children. Killers target children because it's easier and they can have a better control of the situation. Does it comes from deep issues and trauma? Yes, but the murderers don't always care or know. And it's a psychologist that will have to find that, serial killers often just spill that "it felt good".
I know it’s common for RE fans to lament the fact that Leon never got to live his dream of being a cop but I feel like he was going to have a severely rude awakening resulting in the loss of his innocence either way. His chief of police was a serial rapist and murderer who liked to taxidermy his victims’ bodies. In an AU where umbrella never existed and there’s no zombies he most likely would have been harassed/threatened off the force bc he tried to expose Irons.
Not every shitty person is shitty because of a disorder that pop psychology likes to demonise. Slapping a label on every shitty person out there is ableist toward the NPD/ASPD sufferers who are just trying to get by. Stop it.
appreciation for the sheer melancholic fondness in wilson’s gaze at house during what he knows is the last normal interaction they’ll ever have; during the final comparatively trivial rant in which they don’t both have to pretend the world isn’t collapsing beneath their feet
House MD's homoeroticism remains unmatched...like the man known for lying and manipulating his patients to get them treatment keeps his promise when his "best friend" asks him to help him die in his arms instead of a hospital. And then he knocks him out with morphine and puts silly hats and glasses on him and makes a video to any way you want it
Yet, many blue collar supporters think that Trump would take care of them. It’s astonishing to witness such sycophancy, such a lack of critical thinking skills and full on ignorance during a time when truthful information is easily found.
Trump has filed over 3,500 lawsuits to keep from paying people what he promised to pay them.
