The bromance between Dallas and Ian is making me a Zukka shipper. Never in my wildest dream did I think the live action would have this impact on me lmao

“...That’s another reason why this Soap and Ghost relationship works, right--is that, for whatever reason, y’know--that doesn’t need to be talked abut now...but--Ghost has, well it’s clear that Ghost has a huge amount of respect for Soap, right? And he wouldn’t let anybody--in fact, for anybody else to talk to him the way Soap does would mean a different thing--but they’ve been through a lot together. But what’s great about that moment--and I’m glad you brought it up Neil-- it that [Ghost and Soap] are pushing each other to evolve without even realizing it. And for Soap to say something like that costs something for him. And for Ghost to correct the record and say what he says, that costs something too. And I think, again, that’s why this game is so satisfying is these characters--they’re going to places they’ve not been before. But they help each other get there. And I think that’s a good theme that’s come out from this game is that, you know, they need each other.”
-Samuel Roukin on Ghost and Soap in MWII (x)
Honestly, one of my favorite parts of that interview from yesterday. Not even from a shipping stand point, but Samuel just like seems to get it when it comes to what makes Ghost and Soap scratch at everyone’s brains and I think that’s awesome.

A lovely mutual suggested I post them together as that’s where they belong. I agree so here are Piett and Veers as seen in my WWII Star Wars au.

If that is not the very definition of bromance, I don't know what is. Just look at them looking at each other!

Space Marriage- Star Trek Next Gen
Next Gen is one of my absolute favorite Star Trek versions. Partly this is because of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, partly because everyone is what I like to call "Space Married."
"Space Married" just means that everyone has their bestest, best friend ever on the ship who they may (or may not but really let's be honest here) have slept with. This person is their raison d'être. Their reason to be. Their PERSON. They all love each other but this is their person forever. And everyone is allowed to have their romances with other people in a very healthy polyamorous kind of way. They will always love their person, but they might also seek out a person to start a family with or have a trist with and their "space spouse" will be there encouraging them all the way.
Jean-Luc is space married to Beverly Crusher.
Deanna Troi is space married to William T. Riker.
Geordi La Forge is space married to Data. (Let's be honest. If you are an autistic man, Geordi can GET IT. Like literally, Geordi would just have to tell Data once that humans "Kiss their homies goodnight." and those two would be bedfellows forever. Geordi cannot get with a lady to save his life but every autistic man is a 20 lightyear radius just wants to be with him forever.)
Literally, the closest one to being "single" of all of them is Worf and that's just because he's too busy being a dad and being married to the blade most of the time. Though there is hope for him in later seasons....
TLDR: Star Trek Next Gen is good for 3 main reasons:
Silly space adventures
Getting railed in space
Moral quandries
