ShikaSaku. I just… why? I do not think they would work out lol. Sakura is honestly pretty clingy as we have seen and I don’t see Shikamaru really tolerating that well. On the flip side, as much as I love him, I don’t think Shikamaru would be able to provide Sakura with the attention and emotional support that she needs. Also, he can be pretty sarcastic and I just don’t think that sense of humor jives with Sakura lmao.

5: first headcanon that pops into my head

Shikamaru has only used a bong once and he refuses to do it again because afterwards he just sat on the floor talking to Akumaru while shushing everyone that got near them. He almost got into a fist fight with Kiba because Shikamaru refused to give Akumaru back to him… he only smokes joints or vapes now.

7. one thing i would change in canon: One? LMAO. So many things post-HZD. Particularly the way Erend got shafted and how many threads got dropped (we didn’t get a post-Daunt makeup scene? Really??). Also Talanah should have been an official GAIA gang member, hands down. And I’ll be honest, the way romance for Aloy was handled in general.

8. something canon did right: The entire arc of HZD is masterful and perfect and it’s been a long time since I’ve been that gripped by a mystery in any media. It was always going to be hard to top, but I would love if the next game reverted back to that kind of storytelling vs the “doing too much” trend of HFW

9. a thing i'm proud of creating for the fandom: A hard choice, but I think I have to pick Love Games just because it was such a labor of love between myself and @sorbetowl. I had a blast collaborating with such a talented artist and friend! For that reason I’m SUPER excited to be working on the upcoming VN, Focus on the Heart - already such an amazing experience!

11. the character i relate to the most and why: Definitely Erend. There’s a reason I ship him with Aloy lol. I guess there are pieces of both of them I relate to hard - Aloy’s impatience with rude people/social situations and her love for solitude, Erend’s self-consciousness and sense of responsibility for keeping everyone happy and feeling good. The combo of them hits real close to home.

12. character(-s) i hate the most and why: Tilda was a really tough character for me for personal reasons. She’s a wonderfully crafted villain but she also makes my skin craaaaawl. Which I suppose is exactly what she’s meant to do, so well done Guerrilla 😂

13. something i've learned from the fandom: God so much. I rolled into the Ereloy discord totally clueless back in April 2022, and feel like I have so much useless lore in my head now (and I’m not anywhere near some of the real lore people I know). But beyond lore, I’ve really learned how important empathy and putting yourself in other’s shoes can be. It’s amazing how many new friends I’ve made from being open to other people’s POVs, and how much I’ve seen people hurt each other because they’re not open to it.

I tend to write happy endings, but the road to get there can be Hella bumpy. In that sense, I think Gambit takes the angst-flavored cake. It’s a spinoff off my first ever DBH fic, Metamorph. Long story short, Gambit takes place after a peaceful revolution, Hank and Connor are partners (and now established as lovers, officially speaking), and Gavin decides to shoot Connor in the face, essentially blowing his face off. And then, just a little while later, Connor-52 arrives on the scene, expecting to investigate a crime involving a deviant…

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

As I said, about my fics having happy endings 🙂 But if I can choose one I love, it’d be Great Pretenders - an undercover fake couple, friends to lovers, only one bed type fic (although no sex in this one, they do share a steamy kiss for purposes of maintaining their cover. mwarharhar).

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Feels like I’m jinxing myself on this one, but I have been blissfully spared of hateful comments. At times weird comments, sure, but nothing outright negative. Maybe I haven’t been popular enough in the fandom to attract the attention of haters. I don’t know, but I’m glad for it.

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

I never used to write outright smut, out of a fear of getting hate (weird, I know), but since my comeback from fandom hiatus, I’ve been writing smut to the high heavens. M/m smut, customizable android genitalia smut, transmasc!Hank smut, genderfluid robo smut, dom Connor/sub Hank smut. I’m up for almost anything, really.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Not so much crossovers, but I do a lot of AUs, some of them inspired by other franchises and/or movies.

Nope.

Nope. Not that I know of.

Not counting DBH or PoI, one of my longest standing OTPs have to be Kirk/Spock, very closely followed by Garak/Bashir, of Star Trek TOS and DS9, respectively.

I have come to appreciate that my funny bone isn’t so weird after all, and I should embrace the quirk. So, my ability to weave in humour into my fics. Sure helps when almost all my fics are angst-riddled monstrosities ;)

I am a chronic over-writer, imho. I can’t ever keep things brief and to the point, but I’m trying!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I'm multilingual. English isn’t my first language, but neither is German, French, Spanish or Latin, and I frequently use those as well if/when it fits a story.

Love Live! Sunshine!! Season 2: EP 9-13 Watchthrough

#9: "Awaken the Power"

Hell of a performance, one of the best in Sunshine so far.

ultimately, ruby's little arc here didn't really add any depth to her. and for all of her growing independent from her sister, it's ironic that their performance (i'm guessing partly metaphorical) still had to include their sisters and the other girls singing and dancing too.

speaking of that trio, look at how their colors match.

#10: "Finding a Way to Shine"

god, sunshine is BACK in full force after a slightly middling stretch. this is how you fucking do it.

Hell yeah, stand your ground, girl. Get that dough.

In the next Love Live entry, I'd want a girl a bit like Leah. Reclusive, a bit abrasive, a bit antisocial. You know, someone with a bit more of a bitter quality to them. I think that'd be a fun dynamic to add to the mix.

also, good on sunshine for actively using saint snow outside of being rivals.

where are they even? i dunno, but it's pretty.

I think one of the crazy good things (so many to choose from) about K-On (mainly S2+movie) is that it never really indulges in its own sappyness except like that one big episode and maybe the ending. It's otherwise almost never that sad. Sunshine managed to achieve that here.

Love Live, historically, (aka, imo) indulges far too much in its own melodrama, which completely butchered the original love live s2 ending for me, but they really achieved it here, and it reminded me of k-on. getting emotion out of you without getting too into it.

obviously, k-on isn't the only show that does it, but since sunshine, and love live overall, is very similar to k-on as a whole, the comparison is what naturally popped into my head. maybe unnecessary, but hey, that's what you get with me.

#11: "Uranohoshi Girls' High School"

i'm gonna miss these girls a lot

i didn't need these two holding hands tho. and no it's not just because i'm possessive about my ships, but i genuinely think that from a corporate perspective they're trying to give moments for everyone's OTPs and i'd rather they commit for the characters rather than the audience

hat said, besides that one moment, sunshine is doing a remarkably better job at ending things. original s2 ending felt so overdone and was such an obvious set up for the movie that they had to milk after the series became such a big hit, but this feels respectful.

i loved how we checked in on every character. Dia's fangirling, Ruby being a bit more courageous, Kanan and You entertaining the kids, Hanamaru trashing Yohane but still helping her indulge in her make believe, Mari being a bit more openly vulnerable than usual, etc.

i think one of the great things about Sunshine, compared to the original series, isn't just that them not being able to save the school is a more mature way of exploring the impermanence theme, but we also actually know just how much this school meant to the community here.

luckily we're getting a fantasy spin-off, so i'm seeing these girls shortly again in one way or another, but it still won't be the same once i finish it tomorrow.

#12: "Sea of Light"

what do you know, turns out sunshine manages to avoid over-indulging itself in its own pathos unlike the original series. i've had some quibbles with season 2 of sunshine, but it's ending things remarkably well.

i really feel the need to stress how SO MUCH of the reason the impending ending works so much better here is because of Chika and her struggles. Honoka felt like a caricature in comparison, it's insane how good Chika has done the narrative here.

instead of all the crying and songs, we get a melancholic but not overbearing penultimate episode. hopefully the actual finale keeps that up as well. i have reason to think so, but the s1 finale didn't quite frankly.

#13: "Our Own Shine"

aww, we get to see all the outfits they've ever worn for each of their concerts and their respective locations for the final performance.

the song very much reminds me of the final song from the original love live movie, and both are coincidentally my favourite songs from each respective series. altho it makes me curious what the sunshine movie has in store.

and ofc they performed the opening at love live. it was such a cool twist in the original series that i don't mind that they reuse it.

oh my god they confirmed my poly headcanon. chika has confessed to riko and vice versa, you has confessed to chika and vice versa, and now you and riko have confessed to each other. wish we got more of this this season.

i mean, that was just a great finale, i thought.

lots of great callbacks, like yohane falling out of the tree. lots of small emotional moments like the grafitti, our first years closing their club room door together, all of them closing the school gate together, chika walking through the abandoned building hearing the past

it didn't feel right to take the movie directly afterwards so i'm gonna do that tomorrow, but safe to say that the staff seems to have learned from the original series where they put in like three performances after each other, lots of crying, and then a cliffhanger for the movie

sunshine's movie will basically just be a victory lap for the series, spending some fun time with the characters again, and honestly i can do with that instead of more pathos cause i think we did everything we could here and i'm happy. keep the low-key tone going.

Overall Thoughts:

Love Live Sunshine!! Season 2 was really good. The comedy is very sharp and the cast as delightful as ever. I think this season wasn't as supremely structured as S1, plus some subplots and cross-ship contamination were less to my liking, but no major drawbacks. Ended well.

Review: Twenty-Five Twenty-One

Year: 2022 Country: Korea Platform: Netflix

Twenty-five Twenty One is a coming of age drama elevated by a stellar cast and a thoughtful, moving script to stand out within its genre. Disclaimer, though, I may be biased as I am smack dab in the center of the target demographic of this show’s nostalgia pull. I’m the same age as Kim Tae Ri’s character, Na Hee Do, with a daughter only a year or so younger than hers. That fact definitely colors my perception of the show. But, I feel, also gives me insight on what it is setting out to do and a clear perspective on how successful I feel it was.

In the vein of the Reply series, the show centers on youth’s coming of age in the late 90s and early 00s. The show spans roughly from the IMF crisis in South Korea through the United States attacks of 9/11. The focus is on the transition from teenager to adult within the context of a sports drama.

Kim Tae Ri plays Na Hee Do; her and her rival Go Yu Rim are international level fencers. The show lovingly sprawls through relationships with parents, friends, the struggle of self-discovery, finding one’s path in the world, starting a career and, of course as any KDrama worth its salt, first love.

What sets this drama apart - in my opinion - is what makes it controversial and will potentially render it unpalatable to others and it also cannot be easily discussed without show-ending spoilers. So if you don’t want those, you can go ahead and skip the rest of the review knowing I heartily loved and recommend this drama for its solid writing and acting (Nam Joo Hyuk, as ever, reminding me of why I have such a soft spot for his characters and their awkward charm).

~spoilers past this point~

A common trope in the Romance-heavy drama landscape is the idea of The One. It is not enough for our OTP to meet, fall in love, and be together. No, they must also be fated, destined to meet since childhood, mystically connected all their lives. It is a useful short-hand, a way of confirming to the viewer that once the drama is over and done, the viewer gone, these two are going to remain together in perpetuity (which is often why sequels or continuations is placed where they’re more common are awkward). Fate has declared it so,

To be clear, I have no problem with this trope. It is just one of many in a storyteller’s toolbox: dependent on execution for its success.

However, over the course of life, a person can have many loves, many important relationships. Longevity is not the sole marker or a relationship’s success or value. So it is refreshing to have a show that acknowledges and explores that. A romantic love can be deeply important, powerful and essential to a certain person at a certain time in their life and then ultimately fall apart. The fact that it ended does not render the relationship’s place in a person’s life meaningless and doesn’t have to be torn down because someone eventually has a different life partner.

The show takes pains to show early on and continuously in the flash fowards that Hee Do is not with Yi Jin. He is not the father of her child and she only knows about what’s going on with him in passing. I am sure some may have anticipated a last minute fake out, putting everything right so our lovers can rid off into the sunset, but there is no such moment, nor even the hint of one. The last scene is not a mystical meet-cute. The focus is fully on Hee Do reflecting on the beauty and ephemeral nature of the past.

The relationship is permanently left in the past of Hee Do’s journals and memories. This, for me, renders the entire story all the more poignant, overlaying it with a Romanticism of youth.

I found the ultimate dissolution of the main relationship heartbreaking because it was so understandable and believable. It is not enough to care about someone, to be in love. Relationships require communication skills and cultivation, things that come with experience. It is why first, young love rarely works out. Especially in the late teens/early 20s which is a transitionally period for many people. It is a time of internal growth and self-discovery which is important and not always conducive to building a relationship. (Of course relationships from this age can work out, but it is nice to see them *not* working out and still be important)

As watchers, it is frustrating because we can see what the characters need to do to solve their problems. But the characterization of each lead is so strong we understand why these solutions aren’t possible or readily discovered by either of them.

And so, we are left on this gem-like reflection on the past. It is unclear if current day Hee Do is happy; there is a melancholy to Kim So Hyun’s portrayal of the older Hee Do. And we never see her partner to know how that relationship is. But I find that ambiguity fitting. This show is ultimately about youth, and in ones 20s the future is wholly uncertain.

How quickly did/will they fall in love? I think it took only a few weeks for Tonks to get a crush, a month for Remus- then about 7 months for something akin to love to start blooming.

Who proposed? -Technically it was Remus- but Tonks started that conversation.

Who is the best man/men? -no one- they eloped

Who is the braid’s maid(s)? -no one- they eloped

Who did the most planning? -Hahah I mean there's like almost no planning- but I see Remus planning the place/where they will stay that evening- Tonks picks their clothes and drags them into a pub with live music for them to dance. It's them just sort of high on one another- Remus letting go and being more free and happy than he's allowed himself to be since he was a teen. Tonks living her best life.

Who stressed the most? - Honestly I think that there is little stress when they're doing it? Remus is a little stressed before it- but the second he sees Tonks in a pretty white dress and she's done her hair in this fancy way he'd never seen her do- he lets go of his stress.

How fancy was the ceremony? - Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big.

Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? no one was invited- but if it wasn't an elopement, Snape

Sex:

Who is on top? Position wise- they mix it up- top/bottom wise- I see Remus being a top in this.

Who is the one to instigate things? They switch it up, but with Remus's chronic pain I say it's Tonks

Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? This one is pretty equal- the two of them are SO good at sussing kids getting up to no good

Who remembers to pack the lunch(es)? Remus is slightly better at remembering- but Tonks is quick to be like 'shove off I got this!' and puts a ton of random food in there- she's not exactly good at cooking- but she is good at gathering food - so in there goes a bunch of cheese, leftovers biscuits etc- and somehow it's rather nutritious in the end?

Who is the more loved parent? Tonks by slim margin bc she's the warmer of the two and Remus at times is rather distant

Who is more likely to attend the PTA meetings? definitely Remus! He's like 'I have like 32 ideas, but will slowly pepper them in'

Who cried the most at graduation? Tonks AT graduation- Remus at home later when he's like 'holy shit my life is so amazing. I have kids- and kids getting the education I held so dear!'

Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? Tonks- she has the sway as an Auror!

Who does the most cooking? -They are both not good cooks- Remus does slightly more heating up bc his schedule isn't as unpredictable as Tonks'- Tonks can cook about 3 things without it becoming a THING- whole chicken, spaghetti, scrambled eggs. Assembling is what she can do best

Who is the most picky in their food choice? Remus - i can see him having certain things that just don't sit well, or that the smell of it gets him

Who does the grocery shopping? -Whoever- but mostly Tonks as she likes supplying people with food she bought - Hufflepuff!

How often do they bake desserts? -Rarely make them themselves- Tonks might do boxed stuff or gets the wild hair to make biscuits

What are their goals for the relationship? - idk what that means- like- enjoy one another?

And I’m done!!

I sat down to watch the first ep of this drama with super low expectations and one thought in mind “please do not suck”. After ep 1 I was pleasantly surprised but it was way too early to make judgements so I remained cautiously optimistic. Eventually I came to love the drama in the same way OTP came to fall for each other, like a slowburn lol

I think it came down to three things (aside from Gong Jun, of course lol):

the drama took its time! the pace was just right

the main characters were basically side characters for half of the show and their stories and feelings developed in the background, quietly enough not to distract from the cases but noticeable enough to keep you interested and get to know them

the slowburn!! I made fun of it, but it was truly enjoyable

I'm still on the sidelines on whether or not I liked the psychology cases, especially the ones in the first half of the drama and how they were handled. I think they had all the elements to be more engaging and emotional but ultimately fell a bit flat in execution and the resolutions felt a bit too convenient and easy. My issue wasn't the writing but the limitations that I know exist in cdramas which is censorship. For that reason, I'd love to see this drama adapted into a korean or a japanese version and see how far they would push the creepy factor and the real thriller feel of it.

As for the romance aspect of it, I think it was really well done especially compared to other modern cdramas since so many of them have the insta-love trope. A lot of people would argue it took a long time to develop, but I like that the main characters weren't the focus of the drama for a good 8-9 eps, while still using the cases they were working on as a background for the development of their story.

I do gotta admit that I was, for a couple of eps, really exasperated with the male lead but then the drama revealed his reason for being so guarded of others, especially the female lead. And I thought it was valid and understandable and I liked that his trauma was something I could relate to, and not something over the top that happens to almost no one. I’m so happy that our male lead got to work through it in the end, surrounded by people that loved him.

I’m a firm believer that a bad ending can ruin a fairly good story, so I was a bit nervous when they did the “female lead going abroad to study” at the last minute but show made sure to establish that their relationship was strong enough to withstand long distance. Plus, LinShen wasn't gonna let that be an impediment if he missed her. I was genuinely so happy for them in the end. God, I seriously enjoyed this show so much. I’m gonna miss writing about it.

Bonus points that I liked about the drama:

I actually liked the rest of main cast, especially the best friends of the main couple. Their stories were touching and relatable as well.

Overall, acting was really good.

I don’t think there were any loose ends in the end which is wow for me

It sent a great message about the goodness of therapy.

For a cdrama, it’s really short. Only 16 eps!

I never had a “this doesn’t make any sense” moment over the plot. But that may be just me hahaha

1. Favourite thing about them

It’s 3am and I am too tired to pour out my soul but probably Peter’s resilience. “No matter how many times I get beaten down, I always, always, get back up”. It’s a prevalent theme in every piece of Spider-Man media, right up there with the themes of responsibility. He’s an inspiration in every sense of the word and he has been one to me ever since I was a kid. He means more to me than I can put into words, however cheesy that sounds.

2. Least favourite thing about them

Not about Peter specifically but the Spider-Man FansTM discourse about what makes Spider-Man good, which one is better, and which ones suck all give me a headache. I just stay clear and consume my own content in my little corner. Love the character but the Spider-Man fandom can be a bit much.

3. Favourite line

Peter B Parker’s “That’s all it is Miles, a leap of faith” is peak cinema.

Rate the Ship -

How long will they last? - Until I say so. I can see them being together after death as spirits.

How quickly did/will they fall in love? - Ooooh boy. Azula struggles to understand friendship. I think she'd fall in love fast and hard but take the longest to realize. Aang wouldn't let himself get attached at first because Azula is unapologetic and one of the things I like about Azulaang is how it would push Aang to deals with the nitty gritty gray, not in a The Fire Nation was right all along way but in how even Kyoshi and Roku's conflict resolution let to disagreements. I think it would take Aang longer to fall in but once they reach a semblance of common ground he'd be well aware he's falling in love and would enjoy the ride.

How was their first kiss? - Let's see my fanfics. In Blue it was awkward. In Weightless it was sweet. In Smut it was horny and hate filled. In canon I think their first kiss would be very passionate and then they snap back to reality and Aang would evade while Azula denies so they wouldn't talk about it but they'd for sure be thinking about the kiss.

Wedding:

Who proposed? - Technically Azula. As soon as Aang hears about a Fire Nation wedding, either his friends or he learns about Ozai and Ursa's wedding, his mind would be set on a wedding. He wouldn't say anything but he'd squirrel away relevant wedding information like he'd hear a song and go "I want that instrument to play at my wedding." But Azula would have her life planned out by other people and there'd be a set date where Ozai now Zuko are supposed to comb through suitor requests (it was probably Ursa's role. If she's there she'd talk to Azula directly instead of Lo and Li. I don't think Lo and Li are high enough rank to determine the suitor but I think it would be customary/expected for their input to be asked). Azula would tell Aang something along the lines of "I should be wed." and he'd agree and then Azula will spend an abnormally long time wondering if he married her because he liked her or because it's his duty until she asks him while he's discussing potential baby room colors pre wedding.

Who is the best man/men? - Sokka and Toph. Azula was going to pick Momo but he made a better flower girl. Yes she did this to annoy Zuko (and because Toph didnt want to wear the bridesmaid outfit) it's okay though Fire Lord Zuko was the guest of honor.

Who is the braid’s maid(s)? - Katara, Suki, Mai, Ty Lee. Mai pretends she hates the outfit but she's secretly pleased.

Who did the most planning? - Aang did the most thinking but Azula did the most planning.

Who stressed the most? - Externally Aang. Internally Azula.

How fancy was the ceremony? -

Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big.

100% Azula's fault. Aang has no clue what Fire Nation weddings are supposed to be like.

Aang: Wow I can't believe all weddings in your Nation are this big.

Azula: They're not. It's because I'm Royalty and you're the Avatar.

Though I hc that Aang wants to get married in all the different Nations and Azula secretly wants to experience a small wedding so they get married 3 more times with one of them being a very small Air Nation wedding.

Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? - Hmmm I'm not sure. On one hand, Ozai redemption. On the other hand, Ozai death.

Sex:

Who is on top? - Aang. Azula thinks she wants to be on top but she'd rather be pampered and Aang is more comfortable communicating and attending to needs. Aang has no strong preference either way and they do switch but this is their usual dynamic.

Who is the one to instigate things? - Azula but she denies it.

How healthy is their sex life? -

Barely touch themselves let alone each other | 2 | 3 | 4 | Once a couple weeks, nothing overboard | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They are humping each other on the couch right now

I think it's up to the reader's preference but I can see them being very private (Azula) and naturally talented (Aang) to the point where they assume every couple has sex daily. Hc that Aang and Suki talk about sex freely (ex: When I do __ should I __ or do girls prefer ___? I can never tell with Azula. Why do guys do ___ after ____ ? I've tried asking Sokka but he doesn't give me a straight answer.) Much to the fear of Sokka and Azula.

How kinky are they? -

Again up to the reader. They both like learning new things and are prodigies so I think they'd end up reading about things to try in bed (Azula) and would try things out to see what they like (Aang) until they learn what they and each other generally like/dislike.

Do they make sure each person gets an equal amount of orgasms? - No. Aang likes overstimulating.

How rough are they in bed? -

Neither can dirty talk. Azula is rougher. Aang likes to take it slow. She sets the pace in the beginning but he decides when it ends.

Azula refuses to cuddle in public but in return they cuddle all night.

Children:

How many children will they have naturally? - hc them having twin boys at first with one firebender and one airbender because poetry. But Azula really wants a girl so they have a third child she is an airbender with Aang's charm and knack for getting in trouble and Azula's ruthlessness. Amon kidnaps her and instead of easily escaping (Aang's genes) she instead viciously mocks him the way only a preteen can (Azula's genes.) It's traumatic enough for Amon even before the parents show up. Then Aang wants another one and Azula wants another firebender so they do the do and surprise triplets! (maybe it has to do with ejaculatimg in the Avatar State lol) So 6 in total and lets say its 3 boys 3 girls with 3 airbenders 3 firebenders.

How many children will they adopt? - None. Azula is wary of motherhood and I know people like to hc Aang as adopting and while I can see him acting as a father figure to several kids I think he'd greatly prefer biological kids especially airbenders. It's a flaw that was barely touched upon and def not handled well in Legend of Korra.

Who gets stuck with the most diapers? - Servants or Aang. After a kid or two Azula would be comfortable enough to change the diapers but it would still be mostly Aang.

Who is the stricter parent? - Depends on the kid. Aang is more lenient with airbenders and Azula with firebenders or girls. I can see Azula being strict with training & studies but not with sharing whereas Aang would have less rules but they'd be more heavily enforced (ex: no airgliding without supervision until you've mastered the safety course)

Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? - Azula. She's pretty lenient with the term dangerous esp. when it comes to firebending as long as basic safety measures are applied (ex: you can pracrice lightning as long as it's not pointed towards yourself aka dont be Zuzu) but Aang is of the mindset "How are you gonna learn airbending without dangerous stunts?" And after the first few incidents she started stepping in.

Who remembers to pack the lunch(es)? - Azula but Aang cooks them.

Who is the more loved parent? - Appa

Who is more likely to attend the PTA meetings? Azula. When Aang attends the teachers shower him and his kids with compliments ("You're doing so well teaching your kids the values of the Air Nomads. It must be so hard being The Last Airbender"). They do the same with Azula but unlike Aang she sees through it and manages to get an accurate assessment of how their kids are doing.

Who cried the most at graduation? - Aang was more happy than sad. Azula cried before and after.

Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? - Aang. He is a notorious lawbreaker. Azula would bail the kids and she could do so quicker than Aang in a few cases because of her connections but she'd be mad so their kids would rather call Aang or break themselves out.

Cooking:

Who does the most cooking? - Tied. Aang at first but then Azula wants to learn and after Aang teaches her since she has less experience she finds more enjoyment in cooking.

Who is the most picky in their food choice? -

Technically Aang since he's a vegetarian. Azula hasn't tried as many foods and she's used to not making a fuss at the family dinner table to the point of which Aang notices.

Who does the grocery shopping? - Both. Aang has a better eye for vegetables/fruits and Azula is better with prices (it's not about the cost it's about the value).

How often do they bake desserts? - Aang bakes them when he can/weekly. They're fruit based so if Azula doesn't want dessert he gives it to Momo or flings it at a target.

Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? - Gee I wonder. Aang eats salad Azula eats meat.

Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? - Aang but Azula tends to figures it out. Azula is more likely to plan a dinner but she wouldn't make it a surprise.

Who is more likely to suggest going out? - Aang but Azula is a close second. It would be a tie if it wasn't for the bathhouse.

Who is more likely to burn the house down accidently while cooking? - Accidentally? Aang. On purpose? Azula.

Who is really against chores? - Azula hates cleaning up but she's neater.

I actually started out in the fandom against Destiel. I mean, it was pretty clear that Dean Winchester was not into men. But then I read “Redemption Road” by accident around 2015. I didn’t know it was Destiel. But I got really into it and this fic totally changed my mind on Dean/Cas. I have since read hundreds of Destiel fics and I am more into the ship than ever. My absolute favorite fanfic is “Sweaters and Cigarettes” by lemonoclefox. I love how shy, caring Dean softens cynical Castiel and how in love they are despite being so different. It makes me smile when I’m down.

Hi! The fic that made Destiel my OTP was The Walk series by Persephoneshadow. It blew my mind and I hadn’t even started watching Supernatural yet. 🙈 I started watching the show last year, just as Season 15 was starting. I’m a newbie but this comfort ship felt like coming home. 1. Favorite thing about them

The way she’s secretly just a really heartbroken person looking for love and safety and stability. She needs therapy so bad and lashes out because she can’t handle any kind of struggle without her instincts kicking in and making her snap. It kind of reminds me of an abused dog tbh? Like dogs are the Softest Babies until you treat them badly and the they’re feral and dangerous and I think that applied to Cheryl a lot. I wanna give her a forehead kiss and a 45 minute hug ugh

2. Least favorite thing about them

I will say the way she bites peoples’ heads off is actually kind of funny sometimes but ultimately is uncalled for. She tends to be unable to handle problems without hurting someone else - especially in the early seasons. She seems better from what I’ve seen of spoilers but I wish she would go to therapy and not sink her claws into the nearest person anytime she isn’t feeling great.

3. Favorite line

“Dear god Betty, is there no memory - however traumatic - you won’t defile?” GOD it’s her best line. She’s the only one who ever calls Betty Cooper out and I absolutely adore her for it. Best character in the whole show I don’t even care anymore.

4. BrOTP

Cheryl/Archie siblings should have been expanded on more as a dynamic. Cheryl/Veronica should have been used more too, Cheryl needs a friend she can turn to. I also would have loved a friendship between Fangs and Sweeetpea for Cheryl since she ended up dating Toni and should have spent time around them by association. All of these relationships? Would have died for them. None of them were canon. (Goes insane)

5. nOTP

Cheryl/Jughead. I can see the appeal of this ship and used to like it myself but recently I really am addicted to lesbian Cheryl and think that a ship that includes her dating a boy just doesn’t hit as hard. It’s not canon to my knowledge exactly where her sexuality lands (we see her kiss Archie but I always saw that as comphet as well as being pressured by her family as WELL as being alone and scared and clinging to the only person who was kind to her in that moment) but I just. Lesbian Cheryl yeah :) Also gay Jughead but that’s another post lmao-

6. OTP

I know Cheryl has another girlfriend in season five but from where I’m at I really love Choni. I don’t know if they hit otp standing but I do love them. Would have also liked a possible exploration of Veronica/Cheryl because wlw-curious girls exploring their sexualities together would have been dope. I don’t know if I have a MAIN Cheryl ship. I just ship her with happiness tbh.

7. Random headcannon

I always loved artist Cheryl and I saw they’re doing it season 5 I am SO FUCKING EXCITED. When it was initially introduced in season two I lost my MIND. I had it in my head season one the second we saw her daily makeup looks and stellar fashion choices and I am so glad that for once Riverdale writer and me saw eye to eye. Best day of my life.

8. Unpopular opinion

Jason wasn’t a good brother. I don’t know how far this opinion goes or if it really stands as unpopular but the discourse this started last time I stated someone was a bad familial member I’m just gonna state that from my viewpoint and the way I read the scene between them, it really seemed like Jason was going to run away from his problems and leave Cheryl to carry the burden of it all. That’s all, please don’t go off on me about this.

5. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

I try to anyway ^^;. A lot of times, if there’s a massive influx of them on a popular fic I get overwhelmed and forget to respond to them, or if there are really short ones, I’m not sure what to say. I’m always afraid I can only say “thank you!” or “glad you enjoyed!” before it sounds rote and insincere even though I mean it ever single time.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Off the top of my head? Easily Sanctioned Solitude, my Halo Reach fanfic from forever ago. I binge wrote it after finishing the game the first time and since it’s canon compliant (in what happens to the MC anyway), I’d say that’s my angstiest. Runners up are probably... the Sun Dies (Night Rise) verse in general and Blood of My Blood verse? Even if those have happy endings? Idk, I have a lot of fics that are heavy on angst, but I usually try to have hopeful/happy endings? Or at least bittersweet ones.

7. Do you ever write crossovers?

Sure! I like doing crossovers, they’re really fun, that and universe fusions where it’s more “two settings are actually in the same world and always have been” than a more straight laced “two separate fandoms meet” crossover.

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

A few times. I’ve been blessed with nice reviewers for the most part, but I’ve gotten a little bullying, and I’ve also had someone accuse me of supporting the use of child soldiers because of something that showed up in a fic of mine, which came out of nowhere for me because- what? That’s like saying mystery writers support murder because it’s a central part of their plot. But whatever.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Nope. I’ve written romantic pairings and I think one or two makeouts? But never out and out smut. Have no interest in ever doing so either.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge, but there’s always a chance I suppose, since I have so many and people can be cruel like that.

11. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope! Never officially. I’ve done a lot of back and forth with buddies on discord about ideas, but ultimately only one of us is the one who sits down and writes it out, so I don’t think that counts.

12. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

I’m supposed to pick????? Idk, it depends on my mood and the fandom. I have a few OTPs for a fandom usually, and other times I’m flexible with who I ship. Luna/Noct is a pretty solid ship for me in FFXV, but I’ve also indulged in Luna/Nyx, so I don’t know if I can call either my OTP. Fairy Tail my OTP is absolutely Jellal/Erza, though there are several other ships that I suppose count, because I would literally never ship either member in the pair with anyone else.

13. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

...Depends on if you count by posted or just in general??? First fic I ever posted was for Pokemon.

14. What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?

Okay that’s. Complicated. My favorite fic I’ve ever written is one I’ve never posted, but it’s my favorite because it’s what really got me into writing and into enjoying making stories. But if we count posted fics, then my top five are probably...

1. My FFXV triad of Nox, Deleantur, and Everything Ends. I count them in a bundle, because originally it was just Everything Ends, but then as I expanded that one’s headcanons, Deleantur and Nox were formed and split off from it at roughly the same time, so they all very much have similar themes and a similar “core” for where their angst comes from.

2. A Melody of Second Chances. ngl this fic will likely never be finished, but not from lack of trying. But you don’t spend 6+ years writing a fic if you don’t love it enough to cry over it in frustration. So.

3. Blood of My Blood verse. I had the basic concept for this almost as soon as I finished the game, but at the time I thought posting something so off the wall would get me flamed. Took a lot of nerve to post it after I did finally write it, and the reception of it always makes my week.

4. Amongst Untrodden Ways. There are other fics I’m currently writing that I’m more enthusiastic about atm, but I learned a lot writing this fic. I did with AMOSC as well, but with the Fairy Tail fandom, I felt more comfortable in expanding on my own world building instead of mix-matching fanon and canon I’d seen before. That and Wren is such a fun and unique character for me, since she is mute and has to find alternate ways of speaking. That, and I get to focus on the Raijinshu, who are some of my favorite side characters (not counting Jellal of course). How can I not add it to my top 5?

5. Worlds Unseen (Calling You and Me). This fic *still* does not get the attention I want it to, even though I understand why. It’s such a weird crossover, but I’m so proud of how I mix up the chapters and try to align the story beats.
