I really hope Sandman is renewed for season 2 and we get seasons of mist where Morpheus visits Hob in his dreams in order to have wine, because he thought he would die on the journey he was going on and wanted to see Hob one last time.

I am sure the Dreamling Shippers will go absolutely feral over that scene. The series should better not remove that scene or I'll riot.

Love your list of wishes for season two, and I totally agree with everything! I really, really hope they’ll be able to show how good Dina was for Ellie, the way she always knew what she needed. Especially right after Joel’s death. When they walked to his house, my god that scene 😭 But also in Seattle! I just love Dina. And yeah, if they fuck up the birthday flashback I will not forgive them! Abby, Yara and Lev are so important to me, I hope they’ll do them justice too. The first game and season of the show is so linear and «easy» to make, but game 2 is like 🤯🤯🤯 I’m so excited (and kind of scared) to see how they handle that.

Oh, god. Don't even get me started on how good a (not only a girlfriend but friend too) Dina is to Ellie. She's such an underrated character. She's an angel in human form. A lot of people also think that Dina and Ellie's relationship happened out of the blue, but that is also not true. The girls were obviously crushing on each other ever since Ellie and Joel came to Jackson. 

And I wouldn't mind getting a piece of something like this in the show either. We've already gotten the scene where Dina was peeking at Ellie from behind the pillar, so I would scream and kick my feet if they gave us their 'beginnings' even as they were just friends.

Lev is such a good kid. I can't believe that we still haven't gotten to know who's gonna play him in the show. The choice is better be good or I'll riot.

OK SO I'VE WATCHED EPISODES 7 AND 8 OF SEASON 2 OF TOTAL DRAMA 2023

SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT AS ALWAYS!!!

So we got our first big gen 1 cameo! That and official canonisation of Owen's win! It was one of the season wins that had a clear better winner but a confirmation is nice! I feel like it fucks the timeline up since they just. reused Owen's design from TDI again. Im not looking into it

The challenges were really fun! I liked how the cooking challenge wasn't all athletisism, and while they've already done a human pinball challenge back in WT, this one was different enough that i didn't care all that much.

I think Damien is the most 6/10 contestant so far? Like he's nice and stuff but he doesn't grab me. Maybe the immunity idol thing can make him more interesting to me? Hope they do something with that! Oh, and Wayne or Raj are SOOOO getting the boot soon. They don't have much to do outside of comic relief and they're not invested in the current drama. Personally i'd prefer if Wayne got the boot over Raj? That or they don't get booted one episode after another. I want interesting conflict damnit!

transitionning to the eliminations, Ripaxel getting double elim because "haha gross ass couple" was predictable. I litterally called it twice in a row, they were gonna get eliminated for it and they did! I do think they were great and Ripaxel has legit won me over, sorry, i love Ripper being a gross idiot and Axel liking him for it. They were funny.

I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS

First of all, it looks like we were right with the whole Kiara gets kidnapped theory. I was just thinking that because s1 and 2 took place in such a short time, they might use the time that Kiara is taken to elongate the overall time span of the series. She has a few outfit changes while shes with them, so it seems like she's going to be there for a while.

What's that saying? Absence makes the heart grow fonder? I think we can absolutely bet on JJ having many moments where he outwardly shows just how much he cares for her while she is gone. He is going to be one sad little boy and I am HERE FOR IT 😅😭. I think at some point while she is kidnapped they travel elsewhere and if that's the case, I have this theory that JJ gets anxious thinking that he is moving further away from her rather than towards her. Just a thought. He won't be able to hide his distress from the others so well this season. I mean, look what he got up to when he thought John B was dead. He was drinking at school, got fired and then when he found out that he was in jail, he almost when to jail himself! So I think it's safe to say that JJ is not going to take this very well. I think Kiara being kidnapped is the final straw that will make him properly recognise that his feelings for her go beyond friendship. The ANGST potential is *chefs kiss*

Meanwhile with Kie, when she finally gets rescued, JJ will be the one she sees first and runs to. I think it will somehow be made known to her just how much JJ has done up until that point to rescue her. Their reunion hug will be her moment to realise just how much JJ means to her because she will know the lengths that he has gone to to save her. It looks like he is the first one to reach her.

Cos this still looks like they are all running after him to reunite with her. And imagine what they're thinking seeing them embrace like they never want to let each other go 😭 if the others don't cop on to this, I will riot. Imagine their faces when they finally pull apart, they're going to look all soft for each other UGH

And don't even get me started on this whole situation.

Even if they don't kiss and they get interrupted or it turns into a hug, I don't care because LOOK AT THEM!! The more angst the better in my opinion. It's happening!! It's officially canon there is no denying it!!

The only thing I'm worried about now is that they'll leave s3 on a cliffhanger that I will not be able to live with. S2's cliffhanger wasn't so intense for me and kind of wrapped up quite nicely. I mean, I was still going insane but at least everybody was together and they looked happy where they left them so I hope it's not going to be too bad this time around! buncha words bout some spring animes #5

Now that I'm a Serious and Employed Person I appreciate series like Skip and Loafer or SpyFam even more. There's nothing better than coming back home and relaxing with some cute and funny anime. It may well be that if I rewatched some older series which I'd dropped or skipped altogether because they seemed boring, I would actually like them much more now. Well, for now let's stick to spring shows. Enjoy!

The Witch from Mercury (season 2, ep. 1-3) - one more week and I'll finally catch up to GWitch. These first three episodes were a real rollercoaster - we started with a pretty chill one, just reestablishing the characters and plot for the second cour. AND THEN! Episode two was wild. I gotta say, what's really amazing about the writing in this series is how it keeps introducing asshole characters, only to make you feel sorry for them after just a couple of episodes. And it actually works, I really care about these guys. I want to believe they're going to be alright... I don't know how dark Gundam endings usually are, but I get a feeling it's better to expect the worst and get a nice surprise, instead of the other way around.

Oshi no Ko (ep. 6) - yeah, yeah, I've watched another one. I planned to give it one last chance before dropping it but then Oshi no Ko had the gall to drop the best episode since the prologue. I still have some issues with it but I think it did a great job characterising Akane (and Yuki, too), making her relatable and sympathetic. What helped a lot was that Aqua was barely present in this one. You know what guys, I don't think I like Aqua very much. Which is a shame, because acting and film stuff in this series interests me more than idol stuff. Methinks I should look for some anime/manga about acting.

Skip and Loafer (ep. 7) - The highlight of this episode was seeing the drama club pres guy actually doing something decent for a change. And of course we have a brand new character introduced in the last minutes of the episode. I guess she's either Shima's family or one of the people he met when he was an actor. I wonder how will this plot develop and how will this person be neutralised by Mitsumi. Or hey, maybe she won't be! There are some people with whom you just don't get along, and I don't see that a lot in anime, I don't think.

Heavenly Delusion (ep. 6-7) - We got less school and more Maru and Kiruko's adventures, I'm definitely fine with that. Episode 6 had some great jokes, faces and cuts of animation, and episode 7 on the other hand got really disturbing towards the end. I like how this series treats the characters' sexuality (so far) - I mean, they're kids, they're figuring things out, and it's presented with honesty you don't often see. These episodes were also a bit thinner on plot elements and mysteries, but I liked that. I guess it could be a breather before what comes next.

Hell's Paradise (ep. 7) - Last week I speculated, that something major was going to happen this episode. That... turned out to be wrong, more or less. We now know a little bit more about the island and the elixir of life, but the majority of the episode was devoted to lighter character moments. So now I don't even know what I should expect next week. To be honest Jigokuraku is also close to falling off my watchlist but I'll give it one more chance.

Insomniacs after school (ep. 4-6) - Aaaand I caught up to Insomniacs. I think it's growing on me - the side characters were nicely fleshed out in the recent episodes and the relationship between the two leads is cute (not my top ship of the season, but they're nice kids!). Am I really going to watch another romance series this season? I almost never watch them!

I skipped Yamada-kun this week, but I'm definitely coming back to it next time. And finally:

Spy x Family (ep. 10-12) - Ok, two things: 1) Bill Watkins (6) was even better than whatever I was picturing before watching the episode and the whole game of dodgeball was a riot. 2) And then episode 11 had some brilliant Anya Starlight Anya moments. I can't wait to see the pupper. Thankfully I don't have to wait three months, I can jump right in the second cour. Episode 12 was kind of a weak follow-up to the two preceding episodes and a weird finale to the whole season, but the penguins were cute. So really, it's impossible to say if it was good or bad.

On the other hand, three other points come to mind. 1. I am enjoying this show regardless of the source material and its extreme deviations. 2. Adaptations are never perfect and yes I know it would be nearly impossible to put in everything from the books into the show and I can recognise they're trying to speed the story along for new fans and also just for the tv. 3. A wise comment on a trailer for this show comes to mind. Its just a different turning of the wheel. Its a different version. Every time it turns, there's something different. And that's good!

Okay now I've gotten that out of the way. The main reason I'm here is to talk about Siuan and Moiraine.

Firstly: MY SHIP IS CANON. Meaning I am now obligated to love this show. I cannot hate this show not matter what they do to the story line. Also Rosamund Pike plays Moiraine.

I totally didn't scream so loud that my mother came running into the room thinking I'd hurt myself.

I also can't believe that scene in the main trailer of moiraine with her hair down and wearing white wasn't from a flashback of her becoming an Aes Sedai and is instead FROM HER ABOUT TO GO GET HER P*SSY EATEN BY HER GIRLFRIEND

Firstly

DID THEY JUST MARRY???? IS THAT WHAT HAPPENED? I DO SWEAR TO HONOUR AND OBEY SIUAN SANCHE DOESN'T THAT SOUND LIKE A MARRIAGE VOW TO YOU?????. That's it. They're no longer girlfriends. They are wives and I will be referring to them as such.

Also the way the Moiraine used the exact same words Siuan's father did. I was not crying there was just something in my eyes. It was tears.

Secondly.

Moiraine's changing of the words is going to play a massive fucking impact on this story i think. From what I can tell, they seem to be keeping all the "major" story elements from book 1 so far. For example no Elyane and no Min (yet...I'm still holding out hope but I somehow doubt we're going to meet either of them at the Eye of the World). Those two play a massive role in the series as a whole but in book 1 it was like "neat side quest but I don't care". Now the reason I bring up major story elements is that a lot of them have been foreshadowed already. Like specifically how Egwene dies. And the amount of time they spent on Moiraine's emotions in episode 5 tells me that she already knows she's going to "die" and leave Lan and is thinking about what it's going to do to him. Now both of these things happen a lot later than book one which tells me they'll still stick to major story elements, like moiraine "dying" to save Rand (this had better not be this season or I riot). But another major plotline, Siuan being deposited. And I think that's still going to happen.

Which brings me to Moiraine changing the wording of her wedding vow oath She vows specifically to obey Siuan. Not the Amyrlin Seat. Siuan. If Siuan still gets deposited like I suspect she will, this means that Moiraine is still within her rights to obey Siuan and Siuan. Not Elaida. AND it has massive potential for Siuan to be the one to save Moiraine by "calling her home".

Anyway that's my thoughts.

I am having a good time with this show. I probably shouldn't have expected something closer to the books given how poorly adaptations have been in the past. I hope other books fans are gentle with the show so it can keep going because I am really interested to see where they're going and what they're going to do with it.

i suppose i'm kind of wondering, since you're more familiar with LoL. i've heard from LoL players that arcane's more like an au, because a lot of things in arcane didn't happen in LoL (like LoL jayce/viktor barely being friends, LoL jayce not actually inventing hextech but just building upon it, Arcane is "based on" LoL, LoL Jinx and Vi not explicitly being sisters, etc). Do you agree? And in that case, we really can't predict what Arcane season 2 might do?

Hi there, sorry the reply took so long. I was out of town. I'll be getting to your other ask a little later.

Now, I haven't played LoL in years (a sacrifice I had to make for my mental health) but I do check in with the lore sometimes. And yes, I see people saying that this is an AU but I don't believe so.

Anyone who has played League for a few years knows that Riot is infamous for constantly retconning their own lore. Every time they think of an idea they like better, they completely retcon the lore of a character or region. Their retconning of Thresh and Swain's lore is actually one of the reasons my cousin and I stopped playing the game.

Anyway, my point is that I'm pretty sure that Arcane will be considered canon by Riot fairly soon. They'll probably announce champion updates or something.

As for Vi and Jinx, it's been hinted that they're sisters since Jinx came out. Arcane just finalizes things. So again, I feel they're just going to do a lore update.

Same thing with Jayce ad Viktor now being friends. It's just going to shift the canon lore so both the game and Arcane versions can converge properly

This all means that I personally feel we can at least partially predict season 2.

I already have a few predictions. See below:

Because they're both champions, I know that Jayce and Viktor will survive in some way or another.

My primary prediction for season two is that the main conflict will be between Jayce and Viktor, with Viktor taking Jinx's place in the narrative.

I feel that Jinx's rocket is going to speed up the timeline for the Glorious Evolution. It's already started, in a way.

I feel that season 2 is going to be the beginning of how the characters form into their LoL versions of themselves.

Sorry about the length but here is my dream cast for the wildcats doing frozen in season three!!!✨

Elsa- Carlos (Frankie Rodriguez)

Okay, I've said it before and I will say it again! Frankie Rodriguez deserves the spotlight! His voice is so amazing and I'm so glad Tim finally gave him his own solo song (In A Heartbeat) in season 2, because he SLAYED. He would be the perfect Elsa! He can hit those notes and he has the sass and stage presence! I also want to get him out from behind the curtain and onto center stage. Carlos being Elsa would be like the perfect way to tie the bow that Seb as Sharpay made. These iconic men playing these iconic women! ALSO! I guarantee Carlos knows what it's like to be isolated and alone. Projecting that onto Elsa would be super believable and I would love to see it be done. (I'll stop now before I go into a 5k essay about how Carlos would be perfect for this role.)

Anna- Ashlyn (Julia Lester)

I would cast Seb as Anna, actually, but then the whole Carlos as Elsa thing and them playing sisters, and it's a whole fiasco so Ash is my next pick! She's a sweetheart and already has the Anna mannerisms down pat, she can be goofy and also Julia Lester has the SWEETEST emotional connection to everyone around her and really reflects that onto Ashlyn so I really think she could do an amazing job with Anna.

Kristoff- Seb (Joe Serafini)

This BOY! This MAN! He would be absolutely 100% stunning as Kristoff. They're both adorable himbos and I would really enjoy seeing them play around with this concept of him playing the lead male. After the disappointing run as Chip and how they completely wasted Joe Serafini's vocal talent, I want to hear those vocals so bad. Personally, I think that Seb would rock this role because of his emotional ties with his farm animals and how he could connect that to Sven! Sven and Kristoff's relationship in the show is really important, they're best bro's ("Which is a sacred bond for reasons I will never understand," -Ms. Jenn, s1e3) and I could totally see Seb using his love for his cow, Milky White, and project it onto Kristoff's connection with Sven. Also, him and Ash already have great friendship chemistry on the show so I'd like to see how they'd play around with that. (Again, I'll stop here so I don't write too much.)

Hans- EJ (Matt Cornett)

EJ is actually perfect for this role, in my opinion. He wasn't the greatest person in season one, but he's had so much character development. Since he played Gaston in Beauty and the Beast last season, I feel like he'd have a really fun time with a villain again. He did a great job singing "Gaston" with Big Red and honestly I'd love to see him deep dive into that characterization that we didn't get to fully explore in Beauty and the Beast. I would love seeing the costume for this as well, if I'm being honest, haha.

Olaf- Big Red (Larry Saperstien)

Big Red would be a RIOT as Olaf. I will die on that hill. He would do an amazing job at "In Summer" and, who are we kidding? The "Some people are worth melting for," scene would make us all sob. Big Red is such an under-apreciated character and I (along with many others, I'm sure) would love to see him play this heartwarming character.

Oaken- Ricky (Joshua Bassett)

Ricky has been BUSY the past two shows. I really would like to give him a role that's funny and cute, but also not too much pressure. We basically saw him break down last time and I would like to take some pressure on him. Also seeing Josh play on this hilarious character would make everyone's days better.

Iduna (the mother)- Gina (Sofia Wylie)

Gina has been such a comforting character, lately. She's given such great advice to so many people, I feel like she'd be great at playing the motherly character. I would love to see her tap into that side. That's really all I have to say for her, I feel like she'd also be choreographing with Carlos being the lead so I'd like to give her a smaller role so she could have this one thing for herself.

Duke- Kourtney (Dara Renee)

Kourt is a powerhouse but she also upstages a lot, I think. By giving her a smaller role that still has so much power and authority, this would help. Also the sass she has would be so amazing for this, and I'd really appreciate seeing this happen, so Tim, please.

Sven- Nini (Olivia Rodrigo)

This girl needs a break. I would love Nini as Sven because she's a voice of reason. (This actually has a very deep underlying message for me, hang tight.) Nini has done so much self discovery over the past two seasons and I'd like to see her pass the wisdom off. Sven is a thoughtful and yet loved character because he's the voice of reason for Kristoff. It's also cute, because Joe Serafini said that Olivia kind of helped him and Frankie get together, and Sven does that with Kristoff and Anna quite a bit. I would thoroughly enjoy seeing that side of Nini, because not only would the smaller role give her more time at camp to, I dunno, start that songwriting club she was talking about at YAC, or just to focus on herself and not have too much show drama.
