Part 4
Mister(s) Steal Your Girl is, somehow, now the official title. Congratulations you little shits (affectionate).
Content: Toxic Behavior, Brief Weight Shaming, Hurt/Comfort
Tumblr media
You didn’t expect to see Johnny much after that one night - or possibly ever again. Kyle introduced you two, it was a lot of fun, but you figure that’ll be the end of it. Like introducing a new man to your girlfriends (not that you can really introduce Kyle to yours) you passed the vibe check and now Kyle will keep you and Johnny separate.
That’s how it’s been with Brandon’s friends. (Granted, you don’t really care for Brandon’s friends. And you figure it’s mutual based on the “uptight” comments they pretended to think you couldn’t hear.)
You’re starting to realize that Kyle is always going to subvert your expectations.
Johnny becomes a fixture - a welcome one. While you and Kyle still have your date nights and privacy, Johnny joins you two at least once a week for movies, drinks, dinner, or just silly adventures out and about.
You’re surprised that you don’t mind. Johnny is fantastic company, always respectful, funny, and friendly. Whenever the two of you are left alone, there’s no dead air. In fact, sometimes you could almost swear there’s electricity. Which is… well. It makes it hard to look him in the eye sometimes - and looking at Kyle even harder.
Guilt nips at your stomach until one of them distracts you with another story you’re 70% sure they shouldn’t tell you.
You and Johnny play a game with pub napkins, doodling something on one folded half, then passing it over for the other to scribble on the second half. The trick is not cheating and seeing the first half, then unfolding it to a complete (and usually silly) picture. Gaz always gets to name whatever monstrosity has been created.
You get a month of that good company. Then Kyle sighs at his phone one night.
“Shipping out again,” he explains when you glance at him.
“Will you be gone long?” you ask, shifting.
His brow furrows. “Not sure. They can’t tell us much over the phone.”
You hum in understanding. Still new to this whole military thing, the redacted danger of it all, but you think you’re getting the hang of it. At least, Kyle never seems annoyed when he can’t answer you, only apologetic.
“Is it gonna be the whole team?” you ask.
“Nah, just me and the cap.” He rubs his palm along your calf, a gesture that you suspect is self-soothing rather than for your benefit. “Probably not too dangerous, then.”
You make a noise of protest, nudging at his thigh with your foot. “Bad luck!”
“Sorry, sorry!” he chuckles, tapping his knuckles on the wooden end table. “You’re right.”
You crawl from your side of the couch to his, nuzzling up under his arm. He trails kisses along the side of your face as you snuggle in.
“I’ll miss you,” you mumble into his neck. Still a little embarrassed to be so needy, but you want him to feel appreciated.
“I’ll miss you too, chickadee. I’ll call if I can, yeah?”
You hum in agreement, squeezing an arm around his middle.
“While I’m gone, if you need anything - even some company - you ought to call Soap,” he adds.
The idea is tempting but… “I don’t want to bother him.”
“I promise you won’t,” he laughs. You don’t know what’s so funny, but hearing his voice rumble in his chest like this is always a treat.
“Maybe,” you allow.
“We’ll take it.” Before you can ask what that means, he loops an arm around your waist and scoops you into his lap. “Now then, about my send off.”
Your giggle turns into a moan as his mouth slants over yours.
Kyle’s only been gone three days. You’ve occupied yourself with cleaning up the flat you share with Brandon. Dust has been collecting since you’ve been out and about so much - and god knows Brandon hardly does more than load the dishwasher. Besides, a good bit of spring cleaning is a pleasant enough distraction, humming as you toss out old things to make more room for the new stuff you’ve been collecting.
“Good to see you getting back to normal,” Brandon says cheerfully. You glance up from the laundry you’re folding. He continues, “I was worried with how behind you got on things, but I knew you just needed some time. I told you this would be better for us both.”
You try not to let that sting. Even if things are better now, and continuing to get better, you can’t forget the pain that lingers from the beginning.
“Tell you what,” he adds, hands in his pockets. “When you finish cleaning up, I’ll take you out to the pub, yeah? Put on something pretty.”
You perk up, pleasantly surprised, though hesitant.
“We could leave earlier if you helped,” you point out, hoping for more than just dinner. “Maybe we could walk in the park or something before eating.”
He gives you a weak smile. One you recognize more than his real one by now. It’s almost apologetic, but not quite.
“I would but I’m bloody exhausted from this week, ya know? Big projects coming up at work.”
Your smile freezes. “And some late nights, I’m sure,” you try to joke.
He doesn’t laugh like you expect, but gives you an odd look. “Why would you say something like that?”
Baffled, you shrug. He shakes his head.
“I’m going to take a nap, come wake me up when you’re ready to go.”
You manage to finish the majority of your to-do list by 5. Shower, get dressed, do your hair and makeup with Brandon snoring in the background until 6. By then, he still hasn’t woken up from his nap, so you perch on the edge of the bed and gently nudge at him until he stirs.
“I’m ready to go, babe,” you murmur.
He scrunches up his face - you spare an affectionate thought for how cute it is. You’ve always found it cute.
“Five more minutes,” he grumbles.
You laugh a little. “It’s getting late, we should probably head out.”
He groans. “Five. Minutes.”
You huff in amusement and reach for his phone to set an alarm, but pause at all the notifications from dating apps crowding his screen. There are… a lot. And as you’re looking, a new message pops up, just labeled “blonde” with a peach emoji. Gross.
You set the alarm and slip away to the living room.
It takes him another half hour to finally rouse, shuffling into the living room with a groan.
“C’mon,” he yawns. “It’s going to be bloody crowded by now.”
You follow him quietly to the car, knowing he’s not chatty when he’s just woken up. Hunger only adds to his mood; you can practically see a cloud forming over his head. By the time he pulls up to the pub, he’s downright grumpy. He grumbles about shit parking, and the milling people outside. It looks busy.
“We could go somewhere else?” you suggest.
“This is fine,” he says.
He parks a block away and starts at a swift pace. You try to hold his hand, but halfway there, he pulls away to check his phone and doesn’t take it again.
Surprisingly, it’s only a twenty minute wait for a table - but Brandon sneers something like “of course it is” under his breath. You smile apologetically at the hostess and usher him away.
He doesn’t talk during the wait, at first. Until suddenly he blurts. “We wouldn’t have to wait if you’d woken me up.”
You blink at him. “I did. You asked for five more minutes.”
“Well, why didn’t you wake me up then?”
“I set an alarm?”
You don’t know why he’s so irritated, just that he seems tired and hungry.
“You know I don’t listen to alarms,” he complains, scowling at the sidewalk.
“Okay… I’ll wake you up next time,” you offer.
“Yeah, next time.”
Thankfully, the two of you are called a little early. The pub is indeed loud and crowded, and you’re definitely overdressed. But at least you know what you want - Brandon’s taken you here a million times before.
Wisely, you wait until he’s downed the texmex rolls before trying for conversation again. He hums along as you talk about work, about the books you’ve been reading, about the new movie you saw last week. You think it’s going pretty well, catching up on each other’s lives, when he interrupts you mid-sentence.
“Where was this?”
You frown. “At the grocery store…?”
“You’re still on that? Thought we moved on from that story.”
You don’t bother finishing it, just ask him about his work. It’s like pulling teeth. A lot of “good” and “busy” and “same as usual.” By the time your entree comes, you’ve given up, not sure if you want to cry or just walk away to see if he even notices. He keeps checking his phone. Your fingers twitch to text Kyle, but you don’t want to bother him while he’s working.
The end of dinner can’t come sooner. You decline dessert when the server asks.
“Probably for the better,” Brandon tells you lowly when they’re gone to get the check. “I think you’ve put on a bit of weight. You know how you get.”
You probably have - Kyle has a sweet tooth and practically begs you to split desserts with him. Johnny’s shares his food with you now too, grinning when you express approval for whatever high-protein dish he’s picked and shoving more at you.
As for “how you get”… Brandon’s mentioned in the past when you were heavier that you get mopey, aren’t much fun to be around.
(A small part of you wonders how that would even effect him at this point. He doesn’t spend enough time around you to notice if you’re mopey. Is that why tonight has been such a disaster…?)
You just collect your purse and lead the way out of the pub. It’s a quiet walk back to the car, even though Brandon seems to be in a better mood. He’s still texting, nearly bumps into an elderly couple along the way.
Back at the apartment, he runs his hand down your side, tugs at the lace hem of your shirt.
“Careful,” you chide.
He sucks his teeth and drops his hand. “I’m just trying to be playful.”
I know, but I like this shirt.”
He rolls his eyes. “You’ve got three just like it.”
You don’t answer, know it’ll lead to more useless bickering. Just tug the stupid thing over your head, ready to go to bed.
“Hey now, that’s more like it,” he drawls, fingertips running down your spine.
You jump, surprised, but play it off that his hands are cold. He makes some crass comment about warming them up, reaching for your breasts, and your stomach churns.
“I-I think I ate something bad,” you lie, all but sprinting for the bathroom.
You close the door behind you - but don’t lock it. Just sit on the floor, the wall cold against your back, while you try to breathe through your spinning, conflicting thoughts.
He’s finally giving you attention, affection. Why aren’t you jumping at this opportunity to spend time with him? Not long ago, you would have been weeping with joy to have an iota of your normal relationship back. Maybe you really did eat something bad.
“Hey,” Brandon calls through the door, “I’m gonna stay somewhere else tonight.”
You stare at the blank white wood, aghast. “But I’m sick.”
“It’s not like I can do much, is there? Except listen to you be sick all night,” he reasons. “And who knows. Maybe it wasn’t something you ate. Maybe it’s contagious. I don’t want to spend the weekend ill.”
Your eyes burn. He didn’t even open the door to check. “Yeah,” you agree, voice robotic, “you’re right.”
Not even five minutes later, you hear the front door close. That almost, almost does you in. You manage to keep your lackluster dinner down, but not the tears.
You let yourself be pathetic for a few minutes, crying into your arms, folded over your knees. When you finally manage to get yourself together, it’s not Brandon you ache for. It’s Kyle. It’s not possible, you know. You just don’t want to be alone even though the nausea is dissipating.
Sighing, you remove your ruined makeup and wash your face, climb into one of Kyle’s jumpers. At least it still smells like him. It’s only as you’re trying to decide on a comfort show, huddled into a ball on the couch, that you remember his advice.
It takes all of fifteen seconds of debate before you scramble for your phone.
I know it’s late, but are you free, you text Johnny.
A response comes almost immediately.
Always for you, lass. You bite your lip on a tiny smile, already feeling better. Your phone buzzes again. What’s up?
Your thumbs hover over the keyboard for a moment as you figure out what to ask - then how to ask it.
Would you want to come to mine for movies? I don’t feel good…
He answers instantly again. Ice cream not-good or Theraflu not-good?
You sniffle when you remember that being sick was a dealbreaker for your night with Brandon.
Ice cream not-good, you reply.
Say no more, hen. Be there in fifteen. Pick a good one.
You watch TikTok’s until there’s a knock at the door. Upon answering, you’re swept up in a bear hug that lifts you off your socked feet.
“Johnny!” you cry, laughing a bit in shock.
“There she is!” he crows, swinging you around. “Been missin’ my best girl!”
You tell yourself the thrill in your stomach is just from him setting you down. (It’s a harder sell when it happens again seeing his wide smile and warm blue eyes.)
“You're ridiculous,” you huff, “I’m not your best girl.”
He arches his eyebrows. “Oh, yer keepin’ track, are ye?”
“C’mon, you must have a partner or something?” you prod as you usher him inside.
“Kyle must’ve told ye, hen, it’s hard in this line of work,” he explains, shrugging. “Tried before but… usually they just end up feeling neglected, ya ken.”
You hum. That’s why Kyle said you and he would work so well with the open relationship - that you’d still have someone at home while he was out. That you wouldn’t be alone if something happened to him.
“Anyway, this is no kinda talk for a cozy night in, now is it?” Johnny says, cutting your melancholy musing short. “Come look at what I brought ya!”
You only notice then the two grocery bags in one hand. He herds you to the couch and sets them on the coffee table for you to root through.
“My favorite!” You exclaim when you extract the tub of ice cream.
The grin Johnny shoots you is proud. “Kyle said so.”
“You two,” you sigh happily.
He’s also brought a squishy stuffed animal, crisps, popcorn, soda, candy, and a small collection of self-care items. You hold the face-masks up with a questioning smile.
“Heard somewhere that it’s good for ye, when yer feelin’ down.” You try not to giggle when the last word comes out sounding like “doon.” He continues, blissfully ignorant. “Hope that’s the right shite, there was a lot to choose from.”
You throw your arms around him, chest warm. “Thank you, this is perfect, Johnny.”
He circles his arm around your waist, holding you close. “Anytime, bonnie,” he murmurs into your hair.
You squeeze his shoulders as you pull away, waving one of the mask packets with a wicked little smile.
“Wanna try this ‘shite’ with me?” you tease.
You expect a resounding and masculine-heavy no. Instead, Johnny tilts his head consideringly for a moment, then shrugs.
“Eh, why the hell not?”
You wake up the next morning to a mess of candy wrappers, discarded moisturizers, and an empty carton of ice cream. And the smell of eggs. Cartoons are playing quietly on the telly. When you yawn and sit up, you’re greeted by a cheerful Johnny at the stove, wearing your pink apron.
“Mornin’, sunshine,” he calls.
You flush and smile back, glad that you called him. “Mornin’!”

when john b is wanted by the cops, leopard!reader uses her pretty privilege to get the pogues some sustenance in the form of shitty pizza.
Tumblr media
the roughed up teens sit in the crowded truck, seats reclined to keep them out of view of any passers-by who were drooling for that reward money. the yellow-ish light coming from the ‘urban slice’ sign illuminated the side walk, casting eerie shadows across the faces of the teens and distorted reflections against the windows.
“does anyone have any more cash to contribute?” clearly irritated, pope tries again, shaking the few coins he has in the palm of his hand, giving expected looks towards everyone. the silence was all the evidence he needed and he lets out a long sigh.
“dude, i’m so hungry i could eat my own arm.” jj pipes up, throwing his head back against the seat and flopping his arm around for empasis. the girl with her head on his lap gives him a sideways look, teeth crunching down loudly on the hard candy, completely unamused by his antics.
“only time i’ll agree with jj.” kiara adds from the driver’s seat, throwing an arm over her eyes and groaning. jj scoffs. “how much you got pope?” the second girl asks, sitting up from her laying position against jj and eyeing up pope expectedly. “uh-“ he starts, jingling the coins around between his palms to count. “79 cents.” he almost winces, eyes flitting to the girls face as she throws herself back against the leather seat with a groan. “great.”
“will you all shut up, for even five seconds? please.” john b asks with his eyebrows furrowed, turning his body to face the three in the backseat, eyes trained specifically on the girl with a short temper. “acting like i can’t hear your stomach rumbling from here.” she quips back, arms crossed over her chest, an equally unamused expression on her face.
huffing impatiently, she takes one last glance at her unhelpful friends, reaching over pope to pull the handle of the door. “since none of you losers wanna help-“ she starts, climbing over pope’s stunned body and jumping down onto the pavement, her sneakers smacking the concrete. “i’ll just do this myself.”
“um- i know i’m not the plan guy but i’m not really seein’ how this is workin’ out.” john b adds from the front seat, eyeing her suspiciously through the dirty window and she rolls her eyes, a little grin gracing her lips, teeth glinting in the shifty light.
“i got this. ‘kay?” she directs the questions at everyone, but her eyes are still trained on john b’s, blinking slowly as his eyes widen ever so slightly, his whole attitude seemingly changing. “uh- yeah whatever, be safe n’ stuff.” he nods, ignoring jj’s teasing from the backseat.
she gives everyone a once over, returning kiara’s supportive thumbs up with sticking her tongue out, slamming the car door and starting towards the borderline abandoned pizzeria.
she pushes open the door, big smile on her face directed to the only person behind the counter, a boy about her age, his cheeks noticeably redden as he looks her over, he hesitantly returns a little smile as she shoves her hands into the back pockets of her shorts, back arched a little and tits pushed forward as she eyes up the menu overhead.
her eyes are big and innocent as she blinks slowly at the menu, eyes flitting to his once she’d decided. “could i please get a large pizza, deep dish.“ she starts, eyes trained on him intently as he nods, stabbing nervously at the shitty screen, attempting to take her order.
“um- what toppings?” he hiccups out, her eyes widen a little and she pouts her lips a little, looking to the side as if she was thinking. “hmm..” she mumbles, bouncing on her heels a little, boobs practically in his face as she reels of her incessant list of toppings.
“cool. uh- will that be all?” he asks, scratching behind his ear awkwardly as he tries to keep his eyes on her face. “mhm. and a strawberry milkshake, extra whipped cream.” she smiles, rapping her nails against the chipped marble counter, tips of his ears reddening as he processes the order and quickly scurries into the back without another word.
she smirks to herself, pulling out her phone and swiping onto whatever app to pass the time, elbows leaning against the counter as the guy sneaks glances at her whilst sprinkling olives onto her pizza.
sliding her order across the counter to her. “that’ll be $12.95.” he nods, and she smiles, a little too confidently for someone who currently doesn’t even have a cent to her name. “for sure.”
she reaches into her bra, purposely making a show of dipping hem of her tank down to show the lace of her bra. “oh shoot.” she whispers, theatrically patting down the rest of her pockets and sighing when she expectedly finds nothing, concealing her smirk at the way his gaze followed her hands, shamlessly taking up and down her body as she pouted.
“i must’ve forgot my purse..” she mumbles, throwing one hand down at her side, giving her best puppy eyes to the scrawny boy and he goes red, something that seemed to be routine for him. “uh, y’know what, it’s on the house. closing up this shit hole in half an hour or so anyways-“ he coughs up the excuse, clearly a lie but she was thankful anyway.
“really?” she smiles, canines gleaming as she picks up the pizza box, milkshake in the other hand, wrapping her lips around the shitty paper straw and taking an overly suggestive sip, eyes closed and fluttering as she lets out a pleasured noise.
“that’s really good.” she smiles, he’s bright red by this point and she’s feeling a little bad, although she does take pride in making perverted men uncomfortable, he seemed sweet so she left it at that. “see ya!” she turns on her heel, waving behind her as the little bell above the door chimes to signal her exit, sneakers tapping against the concrete as she slides open the truck door again, the smell of freshly baked pizza filling the senses of the starved teens.
“someone order a pizza?”

@rosekillermicrofic II prompt: May 1 - rose II word count: 951
TW: blood (it's nothing major, just a cut, but it's there)
Barty was standing in front of him with a rose.
Barty, his best friend for over six years, was standing in front of him, Evan, with a fucking rose.
And Evan's mind was spinning.
It wasn't like he hadn't dreamt of a moment like this. When the ball at the end of the year was announced, Evan's mind immediately wandered towards Barty. How it would feel to go there with him. His best friend, but more importantly, with the boy he's been madly in love with for the better part of three years.
Evan imagined himself standing in front of Barty, asking him to the dance, and not as friends - like the other times the two of them had attended gatherings together instead of bringing a date because they just couldn't be arsed to ask someone - but as more.
And now Barty was standing in front of him with that damned rose, thorns still adorning the stem because of course Barty wouldn't bother removing them, would like the fact that if he wasn't careful they'd sting and draw blood.
Was this some crude joke of his friend? Was this like all those other times they've gone together to such things instead of bringing someone else? But no, that wouldn't explain the rose. In all those years there had never been a rose and Evan didn’t know what it meant.
“So?”, came the all too familiar voice and Evan's head snapped up and towards those large eyes that looked like Barty's, but also not because Evan had never seen them like this; wide and expecting, but there was fear behind them, a tension, as if Barty was ready to bolt if Evan said something wrong.
“What?” Was all Evan's very unhelpful brain could come up with.
Barty looked exasperated with him already.
“The ball, Evan. You want to go? With- With me?” Barty's voice was higher than usual, if not by much but Evan could tell. He was also fidgety - which was usually pretty normal for the boy, but not with Evan. Not when they were alone.
Finally focusing on the fact that he should probably say something, Evan stepped into action.
“Oh! Yeah sure, mate. You don't have to ask so formally, we always go together to these things, no?”, he laughed lightly but it all came out wrong. Because for once in his life Evan couldn't suppress the hope that this was something else, that this meant more, whatever that more was.
Barty cursed, rolled his eyes, before looking at Evan with so much intensity, he found himself pinned to the floor, not even blinking.
“Rosie, you know that's not what I meant. That's not what this is. I got you a rose for fucks sake! Isn't that obvious enough?! I don't want to go as mates. Not with you. Not anymore. I just- I really hope I haven't been reading this wrong and I'm making a complete arse of myself right now. But- you want this too, right? Want… want us to be more than best friends?”
It all came out in a jumbled mess, just calming down over the last few words and he sounded so unsure. Evan has never seen him like that he wanted to make it go away, now.
So, when his brain finally caught up with him, when his thoughts where finally aligned, focused on the boy in front of him, the boy he loved, he just acted.
He took the rose from Barty's hands, feeling the way the thorns dug into his palm, cutting skin, because he couldn't waste a moment being careful about such a thing when all he wanted was Barty.
His arms wrapped around Barty's neck, pulling him down the few inches he had on Evan, and crashed their mouths together.
It wasn't gentle. Maybe it could've been. If Evan wanted it to. He could've taken Barty's rose gently, instead of crushing the stem in his palm. Could've taken Barty's cheeks in both his hands, cradling them, before planting a sweet kiss to the other boys lips.
But Evan had waited three years for this moment. Had been gentle with his own heart this whole time, trying to protect it, to shield it from every hook-up of Barty's, from every hickey that the other had, that weren't from Evan.
For once he wanted to be reckless and now, here, with Barty he finally could.
Soon it was tongues and teeth clashing together and Evan biting Barty's tongue, drawing blood from the other and loving the taste, loving the whimper it elicited from the taller boy.
Evan would've spent the rest of his life standing there and snogging Barty, but the taller boy took a step back all too soon, looking at Evan with such adoration it made him melt on the insides.
“Is that a yes?”, Barty asked and it wasn't nervous anymore, but cocky. That familiar smirk on his face finally back where it's supposed to be and Evan was so happy with it all.
“That's a fucking yes. I'll go to that stupid dance with you, Barty.”
They kissed again, something long and slightly less brutal, if just as intense.
And if Evan forgot about the rose in his bloody hand and brought it to the side, cradling Barty's neck and jaw; if the thorns stung the other boy's creamy skin, painting it a crimson red… Well. None of them seemed to mind.

Tumblr media
"look at you baby, creamin' around popes cock." jj moans at the sight in front of him.
"mmh feels good" you whine. hardly able to form words other than little uh uhs from how good pope is fucking you. his dick so deep you can feel it in your throat.
pope is a panting sweaty mess as he shoves his thick cock back into your sopping wet pussy. jj sitting behind you while pope takes you in missionary.
the feeling of jjs hands all over your sensitive body has your nerve endings on fire. you can feel his hard dick poking your back but he doesn't care about his pleasure right now, he only wants to see you and pope go over the edge of orgasmic pleasure.
"i'm close, pope please" you whine pathetically, jj pinching your nipples harder, sucking spots onto your neck.
"yeah? you gonna cum on my dick pretty girl?" pope asks with a grin. you like this side of him, his cockiness. he's been spending too much time with jj.
"please pope. wanna cum."
"should we let her cum handsome?" jj inquires and you let out another pathetic whine because you want it now! you don't wanna wait.
"yeah she's been such a good girl, haven't you?" pope responds
"yes! yes i'm a good girl i swear. i'm good right j?" you feel yourself squeezing popes dick harder in your tight little pussy. jj moans into the nape of your neck.
"yeah baby you can cum" the boys agree.
pope picks up his pace, dick hitting that squishy spongey spot inside you that makes you see stars.
"cum with me, pretty." pope demands
you don't need to be asked twice because next thing you know jj is squeezing you tighter, his fingers playing with your puffy abused clit, popes cock hitting your cervix with every thrust. you feel it building and building until jj smacks your clit with his fingers and you release.
you're screaming and shaking, clenching so tight that pope follows you seconds after. shooting his cum deep inside you, filling you with his warmth. you feel warm wetness on your back and part of you recognizes that jj also came, untouched, but you're too fucked out to really comprehend.
"grace" you hear your name but blood is rushing in your ears from the best orgasm you've ever had.
"grace!" you hear again but louder. it sounds distorted.
"jeeze, grace wake up!" you feel something soft thump on your face and next thing you know you're waking up with an annoyed groan. a pillow someone had thrown at you laying on your face, blocking your view of whatever rat bastard woke you from the best wet dream you've ever had.
"were you having a good dream princess?" you hear jjs cocky voice ask before you remove the pillow that's blocking your view.
"ya'we're makin lil noises too, wanna tell us about 'em?" the blonde boy teases.
you roll your eyes, used to jjs horny teasing when you comprehend his words. us. he said tell us.
you quickly sit up, pulling the blanket higher up your body as you take in the surroundings of your room. you see jj smirking with red cheeks and behind him is pope, fidgeting with his hands and tapping his feet.
"for your information i was having a good dream. why the fuck did you wake me!" you ask, exasperated. you're desperately trying not to feel the wetness between your thighs that has very clearly soaked through your cotton sleep shorts.
"you uh-" pope starts "you were saying our names."
"more like moaning them," jj snickers. you feel your face grow warm. "it was hot princess."
jjs words make you take in the two boys, inspecting every inch of them. jj has a very prominent bulge that he's not even trying to hide whereas pope is a little more reserved with his obvious boner but it's there nonetheless.
"umm what's going on?" the look jj gives you makes your tummy flutter and your nipples pebble. you want to blame the cool air but your room is stifling hot and you know the reaction is because of the maybank boy.
"what's happening is we came here to talk to you and walked in on you moanin our names princess. what do you have to say for yourself?" your cunt clenches at his words.
"jj- we were going to be subtle about this!" pope hisses, not wanting to scare you with their potential proposal.
"many people have wet dreams, jj. doesn't mean anything!" you respond with false confidence. completely ignoring whatever pope had just said.
"wanna make it a reality?" jj says, tone sultry as he leans in closer to your face. he looks at your lips like he wants to devour you.
you gasp and pull away, looking at pope with guilt.
this causes pope to walk over to the other side of the bed and join the two of you on it. he softly grabs your hand and your mind is spinning. you don't know what's happening because just a few days ago you saw the two kissing like their life depended on it and now jj is making a pass at you and pope looks like he wants you too? what. the. fuck.
"this isn't how it was supposed to go. we wanted to make it romantic but... i really like you grace," pope utters "we both really like you. more than a friend and we're hoping maybe you like us too?" pope gushes all in one breath is a very pope-like fashion.
the confession makes your brain short circuit because this is all you have ever wanted. you peek a look over to jj and he's nodding with a surprisingly soft smile he's always typically reserved for you.
"you both like me?" you think you're still dreaming
"yeah princess. i've only like been in love with you for forever" jj smiles softly. your heart soars.
"and you both like each other too, right?" you ask wanting to hear it being admitted out loud so there's no room for miscommunication.
"yeah pretty girl," pope responds and the nickname makes you flush, thinking back to your dream. "it's called polyamory."
"and not like those cult religions where a dude has like 50 wives" jj cuts in. "pope gave me a thorough lecture in the difference between polyamory and polygamy"
"i know what polyamory is jj" you giggle with a roll of your eyes. you still don't think this is real.
"so we would all be dating? like together? you'll be my boyfriends and eachothers boyfriends and i'll be your girlfriend?"
"correct, if you want us" pope confirms.
"of course i fucking want you!" you shout a little louder than you intended. "i've been half in love with you since we kissed and i think i've always loved you jj. seeing the two of you together made me so jealous and then sad and then jealous again! so yes of course i want you!"
the boys give you blinding smiles, the worry of potentially ruining your friendship disappears.
you lean forward and grab both boys in front of you. pulling them in. you need to feel their touch and their heat just to prove to yourself this is real and not some fantasy you've created to process your emotions.
"please kiss me" you breathily ask, which prompts both boys to lean in to kiss you at the same time, effectively making them bonk heads. it makes you giggle at their clumsy eagerness. your giggles prompt them to share the laugh as they tenderly touch their heads.
jj kisses you first and you feel the cliche sparks and fireworks. like everything you've ever wanted want given to you with just one kiss.
"don't hog her!" pope whines and he gently pulls you away from jj so he can have a turn.
popes kiss is different but not less perfect. he takes your breath away and you've never felt more loved sitting here in between the two boys you care so much about.
"now whose hogging her!" jj grumbles and leans in to peck pope on the cheek.
this is going to be so much fun.

I think that because of Velvet’s social media posts #sexychauffer would probobly become a popular tag on multiple apps
There would definitely be thirst edits
Oh hell yeah there would be!
The Vee's especially Velvette are going wild over them because you hid all of your personal social media from them and now there are thirst edits of you?? Like you have a social media just for the job and you barely post on there either way except for some plug ins on your story promoting a new product.
But now all three are searching the hell-net for your personal Hell-tok or Voxsta-gram. AND THEY ARE ACTING LIKE ITS HARD BUT ITS LITERALLY UNDER THE ALIAS 'BestchauffuerinHell' OR SOME SILLY SHIT-
And it's not like your exactly hiding your face in the multiple videos/photos you post either. When they do find it (which lets be honest takes an hour or two cause Valentino is getting distracted by the amount of thirst edits there are), they are flabbergasted by how many followers you have and how you act when you aren't at work (like a silly goofy guy).
Like you have multiple videos of you thats just you after you dropped the Vee's off showing your outfit or at your favorite diner eating whatever as you or maybe sitting in the limo just sipping on a drink talking about anything or everything.
The tags are going wild and then amount of people having videos of you doing your job is WILD to the Vee's.
DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE COMMENTS PEOPLE LEAVE TOO ON THE THIRST EDITS TOO-
The Vee's definitely throw some of their own comments in there too-

My personal mechanisms headcannon is that in Alice, the general and the majors were all very much, painfully aware of the war and the nonsensical nature of it and are doing their best to drive everyone in a different direction.
Any solider that goes to the major with the same claims as Alice, or talking about how long are we going to keep fighting, who are we even fighting, etc is directed towards the majors
The majors who use their “tea” to keep a perpetual ceasefire where they’ll fight tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes
And they hope, just hope, that the war eventually ends without further bloodshed or that at the very least, the soldiers under their command will remain eternally unaware, maybe die of old age before ever having to step back out onto the battlefield again.
They know there’s nothing to this was except senseless violence, they know there’s no way to convince the queen or her court to end the war. The general cannot do so without being accused of treason. So instead they watch for the soldiers that come to their senses, hoping to find a way out, which the general offers, and is gladly taken. “Eat me and drink me are orders so sweetly obeyed” maybe whatever they give them is to keep them out of their heads for whatever horrors they have to fight through to get to Hatter and Hare’s little haven.
“This world is a wonderland once you can understand death” I choose to believe this is about the general hoping all the mindless soldiers die out while they manage to preserve and protect the soldiers who finally came out of it.
And of course, Hatter and Hare do their parts, making sure everyone stays in this eternal ceasefire, never leaving, never tempted to go back, just enjoying their lives until the war dies or they do. They can’t outwardly say they refuse to fight, so they just hide it in pretty language. “Our entrenchment entrenched till more orders emerge, while wars borders diverge here we stay! / With war plans in pieces- and peace talks disbarred! We’re on the brink, just not tonight” like yeah we’re going to fight of course, we just don’t know when :( or where :( how sad. Oh well. Until we have clear orders ig. Except of course, there’s never going to be clear orders.
Just three people doing their best to protect what’s left of the future

Hiiii bonten Rindou hc???? Pleaseee. Love him frr
To be honest, I intended for this to be almost exclusively for haikyuu… BUT FOR YOU MY FRIEND! *pounds chest* I SHALL GIVE YOU THE RINNY OF YOUR DREAMS. Also you didn’t specify what kind you want so ima give you my finest shit, which happens to be my head cannon prowess. (Totally not because I hate writing dialogue, no,no, that’s so stupid 😳) Also important side note: I aint spend days finishing the Tok rev manga not to use it tf outta here. Tokrev and Jjk content is welcomed proudly.
idk if I’ll make a part 2, but on the off chance I do, look foreword to girldad Rinny content.
status: unedited
warnings: cursing, slightly sexual situations (but no smut), mafia bs, blood? Fluffy bullshit, Rindou being a dick hole, the ick, my bad Spanish
💜Bonten Rindou Hataini. Headcannons~💜
Tumblr media
The first thing off the bat, I definitely think he is on the demisexual spectrum. I know everyone else be saying that he would be all about just sleeping around like that, but to be honest, I think that that’s more of a Ran thing. I feel like the only reason he would go to strip clubs and shit like that for work, and would actually be really grossed out when people would coddle him. If he was to have a significant other, it would have to be someone he has known for a long time, or from his old delinquent days. My best idea would be a calm friend who would give him the notes from his skipped classes. And in return he’d take them out for food or some shit. Somewhere along the way y’all would just be like, “we’re totally together right?” “Duh, why else would I put up with you.” Yeah he a lil bitch.
Any way, as for him as an adult, all I gotta say is “Mmmm Papí ¿quieres una besito?~”. Like Jesus Christ man has no right being this freaking fine. Sexy Jellyfish ass boy
Yakuza Daddy🥵. This man will spoil the everlasting shit outta you, and go to Walmart for his own shit. But had does it in the most obnoxious way possible. He gets you a necklace? “Hey babe, gotchu this, your old one was musty af, take better care of your shit.” Awww you want a new dress? “Sure babe, but just know that thing barely covers shit, and will be gone by the end of the night.” You want something just random? “Wtf am I a walking ATM? No, pick it tf up, I’m buying it, you can’t stop me. Quit arguing before I buy you 3 more.”
But when it comes to himself? Yeah he only indulges in suits and Jordan’s. Other than that, he has an avengers shirt he had since he was 12 and a pinball machine. That’s the extent of his possessions. Well that and the watch you got him for his birthday, but shhhhh he can’t let you know he cares ewwwww.
Man is literally the biggest (for lack of better word) Tsundere. Like Top three in anime. Like you got 1.Kageyama 2.Sasuke 3. Him. Like manz would rather die than say he cares. His love language is quality time and gift giving, so he’s more show you he loves you, but won’t say it first. The kinda mf that when you say I love you to them say, “Yeah I know, I love me too if only there was someone out there who loved you.” Like manz is so obvious I wanna kiss him to shut him the fuck up. (I think I have a type.) like bro the me love you tf?
In terms of icks there is one thing I no for fact. This mf wears socks to bed. And not the cute fluffy kind. The musty ass crusty socks he wore all day, then stepped in water, and now you gotta deal with it while yall cuddling. I hate this mf.
On a more serious note, because of his Bonten Bs, he doesn’t have a lot of time for us. So we make time. His time. We just barge in during his meetings, lay across his lap, watch TikTok’s, while everyone (him) are just looking like “is this bitch serious!?” >:|
Anyways, because he’s so busy all the time, the majority of what he wants to do when he gets home is just to sprawl out on the couch and just stay there. You can cuddle with him too or whatever he doesn’t mind🙄. But fair warning, he’s the kinda dude who is only ever in the mood for either ww2 documentary’s or like deep sea documentary’s. Like mf has the same movie taste as my dad, I can’t with him. It’s a good day when you can convince him to try something actually entertaining. And you know what he picks? The Fucking exorcist. He’s an asshole. The kinda dude to pretend he’s unfazed, but his left leg physically won’t stop shaking.
speaking of movies, I know I say this every time, but scream Halloween costumes. Yes. Give me Rinny as ghostface please, I’ll freaking sell my soul. Especially if it’s not the robe but one of the like dry fit and leather harness- *incomprehensible pterodactyl noises* 🥵
anyway back to cuddling, his go to position is literally the Hakari and Kirara thing. Like this mf will always have a hand on your ass. He doesn’t like PDA but this? Yeah you can’t stop him. He is an ass guy, it’s just where his hand naturally gravitates.
I cannot explain the urge to play daddies home by usher every time I see him. Like he and my baby daddy Gojo have partial custody over that song. Like bro. Yes.
Tbh I don’t see him having a big wedding. Or any wedding. I think his thing would be just handing you his debit card and saying “pick some shit out. No, don’t worry bout the price I’m rich for a reason.” And after that yall just elope to some tropical place across the planet for like a month.
speaking of travel it’s a pretty common thing for you. Just that it’s always last minute. Like bro don’t even give you time to brag to the your friends. Man just pulls up 10 minutes before y’all need to go to the airport and says, “get ready, we’re going to France. How long? Idk a month? Boo hoo bitch. Stay home then. Mhm that’s wtf k thought”. Manz is such an ass but you gotta love a walking wallet.
My last thought I’m gonna share is how he physically won’t use nicnames. Like babe is the physically most he can bring himself to do. Maybe baby. He gives himself the ick every time he thinks of doing anything else
all in all, he’s the one who is always there for you, and expects the same. He’s a great guy, under all the stress and yakuza bs. Treat him well, or I’ll treat him better😤
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ sorry this took me so long to write, I’m working on another request too, and more importantly, my final exams for collage, love that. But even do, if you liked this, please like and request something, and I will definitely be posting. Love y’all so much, I’ll see yall later.
day thirteen
Noah called dibs on the shower first thing in the morning and neither Oli nor I minded very much as we cuddled deeper into the blanket for a little longer, wrapped up in each other, perfectly warm and comfortable. He had tucked my head under his chin, keeping me safe from the world and the cold outside of the bed, and lowly hummed a nonsensical melody that seemed to vibrate through my whole body in the nicest way. It would have suited me just fine to stay here with him forever, the noise of the shower in the background assuring me that there was another amazing man just a few feet away, waiting to join us again. Unfortunately, what did happen was that my brain caught up with the reminder that I needed to talk to Oli.
“You know I talked to Noah yesterday, right?” I mumbled against his chest, unable to resist leaving a little kiss on it. He hummed in reply, abandoning the melody he had been clinging to before. “He… he confided in me that he might want to try some things. With you.”
I’d barely registered that he had been stroking my back until he stopped. His hand remained there, large and warm, keeping me close, but just from the way the movement ceased I knew that he was deep in thought already. And I’d barely told him anything.
“Yeah? Like what?” His voice was low and scratchy after hours of not having talked at all and it made my whole body tingle. But I needed to concentrate. Choose my words wisely.
“I think he’d love if it you took charge a little. Dominate him. I think the actual words were along the lines of you doing with him whatever you pleased.”
Oli stiffened against me, his breath coming through a little heavier. This was the opposite of a rejection of the idea. I was sure I’d feel him grow in my hands if I let them wander a little lower.
“That what he said?” he asked, sounding even more husky now.
“Pretty sure he mentioned something about being on his knees for you too.”
“Fuck,” he exhaled, holding me a little tighter. “Yeah, I… I think I can do that.”
“I think it could really help him figure some things out. About how he feels about being with a man. With you. If that’s what you want too.”
“Aubrey, I can’t even begin to explain how much I want that. Fuck, I don’t think I brought the lube.”
I couldn’t stop myself from laughing out loud, purely amused at the way he was already thinking about the logistics of things. It was so much more organised than I was used to with him, but I figured the idea of getting Noah to himself was enough motivation.
“Well. You and Noah have some press stuff to do now but then you have a few hours off before you need to be back at the arena. I could… get some shopping done. If you can manage being a big boy and doing the interviews all by yourself.”
“You should know by now how much of a big boy I am,” Oli chuckled, grinding his crotch against me.
“Fucking hell,” I giggled, squirming out of his tight grip and turning onto my back, moving my head just enough to still see him out of the corner of my eye. “You’re the worst.”
“You love it.”
“I do,” I sighed, as if the truth pained me in any way whatsoever, but the smile on my face said it all. “I love you.”
“I love you.”
The sound of Noah turning off the water and fumbling around in the bathroom pulled us out of our little bubble. For now. There would hopefully be more than enough time later, for us, and for the bubble to become a little bigger.
•••
I was in the middle of Boots, studying the contents of the shelf in front of me, a shopping bag from a clothing store next to my feet, when my phone rang. As expected, it was Lia, who I’d texted to let her know that I’d be free for a while if she wanted to call on her lunch break. I didn’t give her a chance to even say hello when I picked up, much less waste our time with any small talk.
“Oli told me he loved me.”
What followed was a series of shouts and screams that pierced my poor eardrums to the point where I had to hold the phone away from my face, much to the amused stare of an elderly woman who passed me by and absolutely heard the commotion my best friend was causing.
“Okay, shoot, give me all the details, because I’m dying to know.”
“I can’t, I’m in the middle of Boots.”
“So? I don’t think anyone there will care. Unless- Oh my god he confessed during sex, didn’t he! That sly dog.”
“Maybe,” I admitted and found myself blushing. “But he meant it. He’s told me about a hundred times since.”
“Aubrey, my girl, I’m genuinely so happy for you. I knew that idiot would come around and realise he couldn’t let someone like you go. Honestly, it’s more of a jackpot situation for him than you.”
I giggled quietly as I continued perusing the shelf in front of me.
“Thank you. I’m… I’m really, embarrassingly in love with him.”
I almost drifted off just thinking about it.
“Well, I don’t want to dampen the mood on your news here but I gotta ask. Noah?”
“Yeah, Noah,” I sighed. “We haven’t exactly told him yet. I don’t want to put any pressure on him by letting him know that Oli and I have said it because I already know he feels like a third wheel for other reasons. But we also can’t keep this from him for much longer, obviously. We’ll meet with him again in a bit in the hotel to- um. Yeah. I’ll talk to Oli before the show, too. Maybe we can all sit down together afterward.”
“I’d say don’t stress yourself too much but that just feels like I would belittle you so I won’t. But that boy would be stupid as hell not to want to be with both of you. And I really hope he realises that in time, because all of you truly deserve each other. It’s time for you to be happy. Like, really deliriously happy.”
“Thank you, Lia. Honestly. I’ll call you with news as soon as I get them, promise.”
I was about ready to hang up, finish my shopping and head back to the hotel, when Lia piped up once again.
“Wait, why the fuck are you in Boots anyway? Is Oli making you run unnecessary errands as part of your questionable job description?”
“Not… really. We, uh, needed some stuff. Lube, actually. We really need lube. And I’m about to have a breakdown trying to decide which one to buy.”
Lia, to my utmost respect, wasn’t fazed at all.
“Now that entirely depends on what you need it for. Water-based: Great for toys but doesn’t last as long. Silicone-based: Don’t use with toys because there’s a chance it will dissolve them. Great for anal though because it’s long-lasting. Any other main ingredients, don’t even bother. Okay, my colleague is waving me in and she’s shot me the stranges look so she probably heard. Gotta go, text or call me when you can, love you!”
The silicone-based lube wandered straight into my basket. Along with another assortment of condoms. Just in case.
•••
I was the first one back at the hotel. I’d taken the liberty to decide that we’d meet again in Oli’s room, not only but also because he simply had the biggest and fanciest one out of the three of us. Fumbling with the nightstand, I was relieved to find a drawer to deposit my shopping in. No need to freak Noah out with the sight of lube that was absolutely meant for him.
Although, if anyone was currently freaking out, it seemed to be me. Ridiculous, really. I wasn’t the one about to go further in terms of first experiences with the same gender. Far from it. But maybe I knew that this could make or break it all. This could be Noah realising that, yes, he was into this and he wanted this forever. Or it could be Noah realising that he wasn’t actually into all of this at all. And without him and Oli being… a thing, of any sort whatsoever, I didn’t see this triad going anywhere. It would simply be cause for too much inequality, jealousy, confusion. It was a terrifying thought. Losing Noah. Even if I wasn’t quite sure I’d ever had him.
I needed to get my nerves under control. I was supposed to be here to support Noah when he faltered, not make it worse. I debated what kind of clothes to change into. I didn’t want to be too sexy - this wasn’t about me. But I also didn’t want to go too casual. Because this was anything but. In the end, I decided on a nice-but-not-overly-sensual set of underwear under a short dress. Easy access in case it was needed, but not expecting anything.
I was overthinking this, I realised. Especially when the door opened, both Oli and Noah all but falling into the room, their hands and mouths all over each other in such desperate frenzy that I couldn’t help but wonder how much teasing they’d engaged in on the way here. As soon as Oli spotted me sitting on his bed, he lightly pushed Noah away, showing me the most devilish smile.
“Thought I’d get him a little warmed up,” he grinned, so self-assured and smug with himself that I had to actively stop myself from rolling my eyes. I quickly crossed the distance between us, running my hands down Noah’s back with a hum.
“Plenty warm for sure.”
Noah easily pulled me in, kissing him with just as much passion as he had Oli and I was sure I could taste both of them on his tongue. I felt myself turning to putty in his hands, on the way to forgetting what the plan was completely, but Oli took it upon himself to grab onto my hair and yank my head back, not terribly harshly, but enough to coax a moan out of me.
Another thought I’d have to shelf for later.
“How involved do you two want me?” I asked, deciding that we’d at least need to be serious for a moment. “Because I’d love to get hands on but I can also literally sit in that armchair and watch.”
Oli turned back to Noah, giving him a nod and a look that told him it was up to him alone. Noah’s eyes flew back and forth between the two of us for a moment, before he finally seemed to settle on an answer.
“You can help Oli.”
“Help?”I grinned, my hand landing on his chest. “Help him make you his bitch? I can do that.”
I enjoyed the way he gulped, obviously nervous but getting a little more aroused at my words. If it hadn’t been so hot, it would have been ridiculous how willing Noah was to submit to Oli. I could only imagine how much it turned the other man on.
“We’re going to need a safeword,” Oli threw in. “Just in case.”
Noah nodded. I was relieved he didn’t seem to be anxious at the idea that we would do something that could potentially become too much for him. We’d be watching him closely all the way, but the risk of missing something was always there.
“I know,” I giggled. “How about “Blossom”? Your Powerpuff Girl?”
Noah groaned. “I hate it.”
“Yeah? Well, unfortunately your time to have an opinion on things has just ended, pretty boy. It’s “Blossom”. Help me undress him, Aubrey.”
And just like that, with his words and the way the tone of his voice changed, he had both of us in the palm of his hand. I moved onto Noah, my fingers on the hem of his shirt, when Oli stepped behind me, body pressed to mind, and whispered in my ear, “Tease him as much as you like. He needs to know he's ours and ours alone. But make him keep his hands to himself. Here's here to receive, not to give.”
I nodded, slowly moving the fabric up his torso, fingertips trailing along so softly he would barely he able to feel it at all.
“Hear that?” Oil addressed Noah. “No touching. You be a good boy and take what we give you. If you can't behave, we'll just have to take other precautions.”
“Like wha-” Noah didn't get to finish his question as Oli pressed a finger against his lips.
“You'll find out.”
When Oli went to work on Noah's trousers, he wasn't half as gentle as my fingers were as they pried the shirt from his chest, inch by inch, until I could lift it over his head and discard it fully. Instead, the sweatpants were roughly pulled down in one go, landing at his feet and leaving Noah to struggle getting out of them by himself.
My hands were reading over Noah's tattoos, my mouth following, never missing a chance to worship his body, to let him know how incredibly perfect he was for us, to have him sighing and heating up under my treatment. Oli had moved behind him, spoiling him in a similar fashion, until he pressed his body fully against him, his hardening erection touching Noah's arse with too many layers in between still.
As if completely on their own accord, Noah's hands flew back, reaching for Oli, for anything the other man would give him. Instantly, Oli stepped back, letting Noah's hands grasp for nothing at all. One look from him was enough to make me follow suit. Noah looked back and forth between us, almost shocked at the reaction. He should have known better. Should have known that Oli Sykes didn't make empty threats.
“What did I say?”
“No touching,” Noah grumbled.
“And what did you do?”
“Tried to touch.”
I was amazed at the scene unfolding before me. Noah, broad shoulders, a little taller than Oli, so often so sure of himself, so often so dominant when it came to me, was hanging his head at being scolded, still fighting against his instincts but desperate to be good for Oli. However unnatural the idea might have seemed at first, right now it seemed perfectly correct. Oli would not necessarily give him what he wanted, but he would get exactly what he needed.
“So, what do we do with you now?” Oli ran a teasing finger along Noah's shoulders, revelling in the control he had over him. “I think you need to sit out for a while. Take a seat on that armchair and think about how to be better when it's your turn. Because I really need my dick sucked so I can concentrate but it's not gonna be you.”
I could see that Noah was about to protest, but as soon as I caught his eye, I gave him a slow but clear shake of my head. For just another moment, the fire seemed to burn in him, then he left out a dramatic sigh and walked over to the chair. My eyes were still watching him when I felt a heavy hand on my shoulder slowly pushing me to my knees. I didn't resist.
Not when Oli stood in front of me and opened his trousers. Not when he pushed them down, revealing his tented underwear which quickly followed in being discarded. Not when his hand landed under my chin, making me look up, just inches from his hard cock.
“Be a good girl and take me deep, yeah? Make me come with that talented mouth of yours so we can get on with our boy.”
My enthusiastic nodding was disrupted by Oli pushing his body forward and pressing his tip against my lips. I parted them willingly, not bothering with teasing or foreplay as I wrapped a hand around his shaft and immediately swallowed him. I loved the weight on my tongue, the tight hold he had on the back of my neck, the taste of him running down my throat. Even if he hadn't asked, I would have been on a mission to take as much of him as I could.
Above me, I could make out Oli babbling praise and encouragement but my eyes were ringing with the effort of being more, being better. Once, twice, I gagged, but I wasn't deterred. Working in more and more of him, I relaxed my throat, my body, my hands now limp at my sides as I was unable to concentrate on anything else.
“Noah, I swear to god, if you touch yourself!”
I couldn't even care enough to try and take a peek. Oli's attention was back on me, words on how well I was taking him, how good he felt in my mouth, how much he wanted to shoot down my throat only encouraging me further.
“Fuck you're getting so good at this, soon you'll swallow me whole, baby.”
Not soon. Not soon.
Taking another deep breath and willing myself to become as relaxed as possible, I moved my head again, further and further and further and-
Oli exploded the second my nose bumped against his body. I greedily swallowed as much as I could, failing spectacularly as he started pulling away, leaving more in my mouth and on my lips.
“Fuck, Aubrey, where’d you learn that,” Oli chuckled but then immediately pushed my mouth close, his hand on my chin. “Don’t swallow it all. Let him have a taste, too.”
He didn’t have to tell me twice. With slightly wobbly legs, a mild headrush, and a wet sensation between my legs, I made my way to Noah, straddled his lap and held my head in his hands. I waited for him to give me confirmation that this was okay, but he nodded so eagerly I really wouldn’t have had to. Grabbing his chin, I pulled his mouth open as mine descended on it, kissing him deeply and giving him everything of Oli I had left. He lapped it up, desperate for a taste, desperate to please, his hands suddenly on my hips.
“Someone just can’t behave, can they?” Oli tutted behind me. Noah’s hands flew away as if stung, suddenly remembering he’d violated the one rule that’d been put to him.
I scrambled off his lap, unsure of how Oli would deal with the situation but knowing that it wouldn't involve me staying on top of Noah. Without any words, Oli motioned for Noah to get up, then left him standing in the middle of the room while he walked over to his suitcase, shedding the rest of his clothes as he went, and rummaged through it until he found the desired piece of fabric. A thin scarf.
I watched, in awe and increasingly aroused, how Noah, so against his nature, stood still, naked and hard, willingly letting Oli take the reigns. The display of trust made my heart skip a beat. Oli moved behind his body, taking his arms until they met at his back, then skilfully tied the scarf around Noah's wrists until he was immobilised.
“Not too tight?” he asked, all traces of dominance briefly leaving his voice as he checked up on the other man, who wriggled his fingers and then shook his head. Immediately, Oli fell back into his role. “On the bed then. On your knees.”
Noah obeyed, struggling to get into the requested position without the use of his arms, almost losing his balance in between, but making no move to complain. Oli watched, proud and satisfied and already growing again.
Noah looked like a vision. On his knees, more submissive than I'd ever seen him, his head hanging low even though he hadn't been asked for it, hair tickling his face. The muscles in his back and thighs were flexing again and again, his cock already leaking. He was getting turned on by this, finally getting what he wanted from Oli, and it was nothing short of beautiful.
In fact, the sight had distracted me so much, I didn't notice that Oli had grabbed something else until a  sleeping mask slipped over Noah's eyes. He briefly became restless at the sudden removal of one more of his senses, but as Oli whispered something in his ear, he nodded again, the tension leaving his body.
“Aubrey,” Oli called out and I sat up straight, as if I’d gotten hit by lightning. This wasn’t even about me, but the tone in his voice was hard to resist. I wondered what it would be like to have all of it directed at me. “Come here.”
Just like Noah, I didn’t hesitate. He motioned to the bed, but before I could move onto it, he grabbed my arm, this time actually whispering in my ear quietly enough that Noah wouldn’t hear.
“Let’s see how many times we can get him to the edge, shall we?” As cruel as it sounded, Oli’s voice was all the more soft for it. And the idea of edging Noah until he couldn’t think straight anymore sounded more than appealing. And oh, was it a treat.
Oli and I were everywhere, switching between hands and mouths and fingers and tongues, leaving Noah a sweaty, moaning mess, blind and bound, with no clue as to what was coming next or from whom. I let my hands wander, taking the time to trace every single one of his tattoos, feeling along every muscle in his back, then letting my mouth follow the same trails, putting it on his cock for just a second before pulling back. Oli followed suit, licking up and down the other man’s body until he was moaning and sighing and twitching against his restraints.
“You’re allowed to beg, pretty boy,” Oli murmured before capturing Noah’s lips in a kiss as I took him in my mouth, deeply, getting him as close as I could before the warning signs set in and then removed myself from his body completely. Again. And again.
“Please, come on, I just- fuck- I-”
Even through his pleading, he sounded constrained, holding onto whatever control or power he thought he could still cling to in his position. Oli was behind him now, making sure that Noah wouldn’t completely lose his balance as I sucked on him again, fingers moving around his body until they came to rest on his throat, choking him ever so slightly.
“You’re still not letting go, Noah,” he scolded.”You still think this is a fight you can win. Don’t you wanna be a good boy for me? Don’t you want to please me? Do what I’m telling you? I know you want me to go further. You don’t just want my cock in your mouth, do you? You want it somewhere else. You might just get it, love. But you have to let go for me.”
I could basically see the switch flip in Noah’s mind. As if he knew he was going to be safe. That he could trust both of us to only do what was best for him. That he could tap out any time. But that if he really wanted and needed this as much as he had let on before, he needed to allow himself to submit to it.
Without any further prompting from either of us, Noah bent forward, still kneeling, until his forehead hit the mattress, beautifully submissive, giving up control and putting it in our hands.
“Please,” he whispered again, more desperate now, more whiny, more willing not to hold back.
Oli looked so smug at having succeeded it was almost annoying. I motioned toward the nightstand, hoping he’d understand I’d stashed the lube there, and then went back to my ministrations of the gorgeous man in front of me. Peppering kisses on his back as it was now so nicely presented to me, I struggled to move my hand underneath his body again, finding his dick harder than before, precum immediately spilling onto me. He shuffled, just enough to make more space, but stayed in position.
When Oli returned, kneeling on the bed behind Noah, his fingers were lubed up, the bottle dropping onto the mattress next to him.
“So gorgeous, love, so pretty and spread out,” Oli praised as he carefully started circling Noah’s hole. I removed my hand, not wanting to overwhelm Noah with the multitude of sensations he was being presented to. Instead, I laid down on my side next him, wordlessly communicating with Oli as I pointed toward the sleep mask. He nodded, allowing me to slip it away from Noah’s head.
“You good?” I asked, quietly, petting his hair, letting the soft strands run between my fingers. He turned his head toward me, cheeks reddened and eyes glossy, utterly stunning, and whispered a yes back. I pressed my lips against his, swallowing his sighs and moans, the way his breath hitched as Oli prepared him. I couldn’t get over how gorgeous he was right in this moment.
Even when Noah broke the kiss, breathing heavily, eyes shutting in an emotion that seemed to be somewhere between pleasure and overwhelming sensations, I stayed by his side. I didn’t watch what Oli was doing or how, I simply couldn’t tear my eyes from Noah. His reactions, his high-pitched noises in between and then a long, drawn-out moan that echoed through the room, told me enough.
Noah was a mess, moaning and mumbling to himself, barely holding his body up anymore on his knees, face fully smushed into the pillow, when Oli let go of him. He quickly fumbled with the scarf around Noah’s wrists, undoing his work and throwing the item on the floor. He rolled Noah, who didn’t resist at all, on his back, then grabbed his arms and placed delicate kisses on the skin where he had been tied.
“So gorgeous,” Oli praised as his kisses moved upwards until his mouth was on Noah’s again. “So pretty and ready for me, love.”
They kissed for a while, Oli keeping as much distance as he could between them as Noah was now so hard and leaking precum that I feared he’d come from the slightest touch.
“Do you think you can take me?” Oli asked and was met with such enthusiastic nodding that both of us had to bite back a chuckle. “How do you want it? It might be easiest if you tried to ride-”
“No,” Noah found his voice, husky and rough. “Like this. Please.”
“Anything for you,” Oli whispered against his lips.
My heart was bursting at the seams with love. I could have spent the rest of my life watching these two together, these men that had captivated me and made me fall so hard, looking so utterly beautiful together, like they had always been meant to be. I couldn’t put in words how much I wanted to three of us to be that. Meant to be. Forever.
Oli went to kneel between Noah’s legs, grabbing more lube that he generously lathered his own cock with, gasping slightly at the feeling, before pushing Noah’s knees back to make room. Noah’s hand reached for mine and as I held onto it, I almost allowed a confession of love to pass my lips. It didn’t matter what we were doing, what constellation was currently involved with what, who was on the sidelines - we were in it together, the three of us, always.
Oli pushed in, slowly, eyes always on Noah, pure concern masking the pleasure. Noah’s face was slightly screwed up, but he was breathing deeply, and within moments he was begging Oli for more.
“Fuck, you feel so fucking good,” Oli moaned as he slowly bottomed out. “Can’t believe no one’s done this to you before, you’re fucking made for this, so perfect.”
Noah’s low groans were increasing in volume as he squeezed my hand tightly, the other fisting the bedsheets. Oli was still moving with utmost care, changing his angles until-
Noah whailed and Oli might have just been the happiest person on the planet. With a slight increase in his tempo, he started hitting the spot, again and again, until I was worried Noah was going to start crying from the intensity.
“‘m not gonna last,” Oli mumbled, thrusting into Noah and tethering on the edge of losing control. “Touch him, Aubrey.”
Noah didn’t need much more. As soon as I wrapped my fingers around him, a single stroke pushed him over the edge. With a noise I’d never heard him make before, he arched into me, moved harder against Oli, and spilled all over my hand and his stomach. The resulting tension made Oli fall apart as well, moaning shamelessly as he pushed into Noah a few more times, until he was fully spent.
Both of them seemed overwhelmed with the experience, but the post-orgasmic pleasure was palpable. Oli had carefully pulled out and all but collapsed on the bed next to Noah so I took over aftercare duty, cleaning both of them up as much as I could, dropping words of praise and soft kisses wherever they would let me. I only stopped when Noah deftly pulled me down next to him, cuddling into me, then reached behind him to make Oli spoon him.
I listened as their breathing started to even out and the room fell quiet. Noah’s head was buried in my chest, pressed so deeply into the fabric of my dress that I wondered how he was still able to breathe, while Oli was fully attached to his back, as if attempting to fuse into one person. I didn’t think either of us could really grasp what we were feeling in that moment, but somehow, it had changed us fundamentally. The trust and love that had just been put on display between us.
I let the two of them rest for as long as I could, but I knew that people were waiting for us, a whole arena full of them, so before Noah could fully drift off, I herded both of them into the bathroom for a quick shower. Or what should have been a quick shower.
The space was much more limited than the one at Oli’s place and there was an additional person, but we still somehow squeezed into it, battling to stay under the water under soft giggles and sighs. We all did our best to clean each other, freshen up so we would be presentable, but it wasn’t until Oli’s hand travelled up the inside of my thigh that I was reminded of the lingering wetness that had nothing to do with the water raining down on us. It brough a pitiful moan to my lips.
“Feels like someone really enjoyed the show,” Oli teased, his eyes darkening as he sent a smirk my way. “I think we owe her an orgasm, Noah.”
Noah didn’t need much more invitation. Pressing himself against my back, his hand joined Oli’s between my legs, both of them feeling my arousal clearly as I almost buckled under the attention. I’d barely registered how turned on I’d been, fully focused on the two men and their enjoyment, but now that they were on me and I was finally naked, I knew it wouldn’t take much.
Oli’s lips found mine, immediately pushing his tongue into my mouth as his finger circled my clit, dragging another moan from my throat and straight into him. Noah left a kiss at the top of my hair, one arm sneaking around my waist to hold me steady as his hand rested on my stomach, the other… I couldn’t tell for sure, but the stretch was harsh enough that I assumed he’d immediately pushed two fingers into me.
My body felt like pure jelly as the two played with me, skillfully touching and teasing me and allowing me to fuck myself on their hands. I didn’t even attempt to be quiet when the euphoria rushed over me, clawing at Oli’s arms, my head dropping against his chest, riding my orgasm under praise and touches all over me until the oversensitity took hold of me. Both of them immediately noticed, withdrawing their hands but keeping me up until I could safely stand again.
I kissed Oli again, then turned around to do the same to Noah, who looked so happy, so ecstatic, that I wished I could frame this moment and keep it with me in perfect clarity forever.
And then Noah dropped his head to my shoulder and mumbled, so quietly that I wasn’t sure Oli could hear or even if I had heard correctly, “I think I could fall in love with a man.”
•••
I was floating on a cloud. So what if we hadn’t fully resolved the situation? So what if Noah still didn’t know that Oli and I had said those words to each other? So what if Noah hadn’t fully admitted to his feelings or that none of us had technically heard Oli say what was going through his mind either? None of it was enough to bring me down.
I caught up with Oli as soon as both of us had a moment free in our schedules, immediately allowing him to pull me into his lap in his dressing room, both of us desperate for the closeness.
“How are you feeling?” I mumbled into his sweatshirt as my head dropped to his shoulder. I was straddling him fully, having accepted that this was somehow a happy place for both of us, his arms holding me securely.
“So fucking good,” he laughed as if he couldn’t believe it himself. “I don’t know if I needed to fuck a man that badly or if it’s just Noah but holy shit.”
We both giggled against each other, bodies heaving with the noise, holding each other that little bit tighter as the memories appeared in both of our minds. I’d known it wanted this again and again and more the very second we had all collapsed in the bed but it was more than a relief to hear Oli felt the same. The calm and quiet returned only slowly.
“And… and everything else with Noah?” I finally asked.
Oli stayed quiet for a while. It didn’t worry me - I knew he was probably weighing his words, trying to figure out what exactly he felt and how to articulate it, and I gave him the time he needed, my fingers moving under his sweatshirt to draw soothing little circles on his skin.
“I… I want him. For everything. All the time. The way I want you. I don’t know if it’s too early to say anything else but… I think I’m in love with him.”
I almost started crying right then and there. Lifting my head, I put both of my hands to the sides of his face, needing to make sure he was here, saying these words.
“I’m in love with him too.”
“Do you think we can do this?” Oli questioned, his fingers softly combing through my hair, but his eyes never leaving mine. “The three of us?”
“I don’t know. But I’ll never forgive myself if we don’t try.”
Oli pressed a short kiss to my mouth. “That makes two of us.”
•••
About an hour later, I’d made sure Oli was where he needed to be, grabbed the biggest portion of food I could find while scarfing it down with worrying speed, then planted a kiss on Noah’s lips when I met him in the hallway and turned away to get to the sound desk quickly enough that I wouldn’t see his reaction. Nicholas gave me a thumbs up on the way out.
“Someone’s in a good mood,” Becky mused as soon as I approached, opening the barrier for me and waiving me in. She leaned in, just to make sure no one else would hear when she continued. “Did you get good dick?”
“Well, technically, I didn’t, but…”
“Oh, you dirty girl, what did the three of you get up to!”
I didn’t indulge her in any details but my smile seemed to tell her everything. We had enough to do as it was - even if that didn’t stop her from throwing me knowing looks every now and then and wriggling her eyebrows suggestively.
The Bad Omens set passed by in no time at all and I was starting to enjoy how some details were already becoming something akin to a routine. Still, Becky very much ordered me around, trying to explain as much as possible when we had a moment, especially in between sets. I almost wished I could take notes, just to make sure I would really remember. Even though I wasn’t quite sure what for.
“Oh, by the way, are you going to be on the early flight out to Dublin tomorrow?” Becky asked out of nowhere, almost throwing me out of the loop. I fished the phone out of the pocket of my jeans, showing her the time I’d jotted down for the flight that most of the bands and close crew was on.
“This one? Why?”
“Perfect,” Becky grinned. “Nothing in particular. Just wanted to catch you before you get on the plane. Got something to give you tomorrow.”
“Something- what?”
“Nothing at all. Oh, look, time to start the trailer for Bring Me, no time to talk!”
I was getting sick and tired of surprises. Or, I would have been, if all of them hadn’t been so damn perfect lately. Still, I couldn’t help giving her the side-eye for the next hour, impossibly curious but knowing just as well she probably wouldn’t spill. And with Oli on stage, my brain was fried anyway as I watched him, utterly happy and ecstatic, easily giving one of the best shows of his life.
Becky didn’t even reimprand me when I completely lost focus when it was time for Antivist. In fact, all duties forgotten, my eyes were solely glued on the two men currently on stage. The one I was already able to call my boyfriend and the one he had just introduced as a very special person. Both of them were. Very special people. My heart was so absolutely irredeemably lost to them that, no matter how deliriously happy I was about being able to call Oli mine, I also knew fully well that we wouldn’t be complete without Noah.
My whole body ached to have him too. And I was sure Oli’s did as well. Time didn’t matter. Distance didn’t matter. Societal expectations didn’t matter. All I needed to be happy now, truly, fully happy, was for Noah to be honest with us and, hopefully, so hopefully, become ours as much as we were already his.
I barely noticed the next two songs passing, entirely too caught up in my thoughts and the way Oli looked so ridiculously gorgeous on screen and how stupidly lucky I’d gotten with him already.
“Go.”
I turned back to Becky, confused and unsure if she’d spoken to me at all. The band was off stage, waiting for the montage to come on before performing their encore, so the room was marginally quieter. She nodded, confirming my question, and motioned randomly toward the left.
“There’s some reserved seating in 101, left to the stage. Go. Enjoy the last songs. I’ll be fine.”
“Are you-?”
She didn’t let me finish, almost violently pushing me against the barrier which didn’t open quite in time to let me out. I didn’t ask for more encouragement, sprinting through the venue via as many shortcuts as I could remember, flashing my pass and moving down the rows of seats where a few select friends and family had gathered just as Doomed started playing.
It had been a while since I’d gotten to watch Oli perform from such close proximity but it never failed to stun me wholly. The way he threw his entire being into performance with absolute disregard for his own wellbeing, driven my nothing but pure emotions, memories, whatever energetic currents were running through the arena, was easily one of the most beautiful things I’d ever seen. I loved him. Irrevocably.
He spotted me during Lost. An almost undetectable skip in his actions. A stare right in my direction. Pointing toward me. A kiss thrown my way. I couldn’t help but send one back, watching as he caught it and put it in his pocket, face never changing, but I knew he meant it. He meant it all.
And I knew we needed to talk to Noah. Tonight.
•••
I was already waiting backstage, right where the band would come off stage but safely out of view from the audience, when the show ended. The others passed me by first on their way to their dressing rooms, Mat throwing me a smile and giving me a pat on the shoulder as if I needed any sort of encouragement. And then Oli appeared, stunning, sweaty, happy and all I could do was run straight into the arms that were opening just for me and press a kiss to his mouth. He pulled me closer to his body, completely ignorant of the way I stuck to him in the heat his skin emitted and who was I to complain. I would have him anyway I got him, freshly showered or or completely sweaty alike.
“I love you,” Oli said, freely and confidently and my heart wanted to leap, still so incredibly enamoured and overwhelmed any time he said those words and never wanting him to stop.
“I-”
The words didn’t even manage to leave my mouth before I saw him.
Noah.
Standing behind Oli, his eyes locked with mine, his posture tense, his face unreadable, then crestfallen, then… resigned.
We hadn’t told him yet. We hadn’t told him and now he knew. He knew we hadn’t told him. That we’d kept it from him. That we’d spent who knows how long basking in our own happiness. Without him. And suddenly he looked like all fears he’d ever had combined.
Pains and Patience
TW for self harm/dagger under the cut.
(You are sitting in a chair in the main room of the place you and your family were staying. Bonnie and Nille are around. You asked them to leave you alone for a bit. You can hear them talking in the distance. Your eyes are closed.)
(What does it look like?)
(One breath, two, three, and you're there. This blurry place that feels like a dream yet to be fully formed. Stretching above you so impossibly high was the favor tree. Around you it was pitch black, with stars dotting the skies.)
(It came to your mind naturally. It was... Strange, not a daydream, it was just... There. A place in your own mind that felt so... Real.)
(It's still growing.)
Tumblr media
(It is. You turn around and that other part of you is there. Mal Du Pays. It fit here better than you did, it seems.)
(You still can't see the rest of it, can you.)
(No, I can't. You say. It's still the favor tree, just the tree. Where's loop?)
(Hiding, I expect.)
(You're very helpful.)
(I'm trying to keep you alive.)
(You shake your head, that's what it always said. Keep you alive. It was hard to believe when you'd come back to front to find you did something bad that you don't remember.)
(You look out to the stars. This place still felt off, like it was missing pieces. Every time you tried stepping beyond the tree you'd freeze up. Gripped by a fear you had never felt before, was fear even the right word?)
(You'll figure it out.)
(Right. We'll figure it out. We're getting a rest now after all. We'll figure out what's going on with Ramos, figure out why we're still Looping, THEN we'll deal with this disassociating, thing, whatever Odile called it.)
(Odile is not exactly a psychiatrist.)
(She's better than guessing.)
(I will not talk to her. You will not make me talk to her.)
(... Fine, for now, but eventually-)
"'Heyfrin!"
(Your snap to attention, back in reality, Bonnie was leaning in from the doorway. They looked a bit worried.)
"Hey Bonbon."
"Ramos showed up, Nille's distracting them right now."
(Huh?? You stood up.) "Here? Did they do anything?"
(Bonnie shook their head.) "Nuh uh, said they were looking for 'Beau and thought to stop by."
(You breath a sigh of relief.) "Alright, just act like you don't know anything, alright?"
"Duh, I know how to keep a secret."
(Walking to the front room area, Ramos was there talking to Nille. Casual conversation. They looked just as relaxed and cheery as the other loop. They didn't look like a kidnapper or anything, seeing you approach, they waved.)
(Do not get fooled by good acting.)
"Hello! You're Siffrin, right?"
(You waved back, smiling.) "That's me, Nille giving away my secrets again?"
"Your name's not exactly a secret, Siffy." (Nille said sarcasticly. Seemingly, she got the memo to act cool.) "Sorry Isabeau isn't in right now."
"That's fine." (Ramos said cheerily.) "Mind if I stick around untill he does?"
"Sure!" (Nille cut you off before you could say no. Great. Fantastic.)
(Maybe you could learn something.)
(You all headed back to the common area, walking and talking. Ramos making a bad joke and ruffling Bonnies hair, much to their annoyance.)
"So how'd y'all meet Isa?" (Ramos asked.)
"Met 'em a few weeks ago after getting de-frozen from time. Showed up to my place saying lil Bonnie helped save the country."
"YEAH!!! We kicked the Kings CRABBING BUTT!!"
"Language."
(You all chuckle.)
"I met 'Beau running from the curse. Nille told me to run when showed up at Bambouche and I did untill I passed out."
"You must be one tough kid then." (Ramos was smiling.)
"And don't you forget it!!!"
"What about you, Siffrin?"
"Oh, well." (How did it go again...) "I bumped into Mirabelle, Isa, and Odile by chance, off to save Vaugarde and all. They were fighting a sadness and I helped out. Asked me to join after that."
"Woah." (Ramos looked pretty engrosed in the story.) "It must have been real strong, Isa isn't a pushover."
"Oh, well, it was kinda strong." (You shrug.) "Not strong enough though, since I took it out in one hit."
(Ramos beamed, they leaned over and grabbed your hand.) "No way!! That's awesome!! I wish I coulda seen it!"
(You wince, and Ramos releases your hand.) "O-oh, sorry."
"'Frin doesn't like being touched." (Said Bonnie.)
"Ha, it's alright Bonnie." (You replied.) "It just took me by surprise."
(Why was Ramos so.... Relaxed? It didn't make any sense. If it was Ramos who tried grabbing Bonnie, why'd they come to visit? Where you wrong about them?)
(It's acting. Siffrin.)
"How's Isa been anyways?"
"Stupid." (Says Bonnie.)
"A good stupid." (Nille continues.) "Real bumble of emotions from what I've seen."
"Mmhm!" (You nod along.) "He's great, sure saving the country was stresful, but, Isabeau's been there with us the whole way."
"I'm glad!" (Ramos leaned back in their chair.) "Did he mention me at all?"
(You smile, of course he did.) "All the time!"
"Really?"
"Yeah! We went through a lot together, aparently you helped him a bunch? I've honestly been itching to meet you!"
(Wrong.)
(What?)
(That is wrong. What are you doing.)
(Bonnie was giving you a look, what do you mean? Don't you remember?)
"That's, wow!" (Ramos rubbed their neck.) "I didn't, think he'd mention me at all."
"Haha, you left quite the impression."
(Stop talking. You aren't acting.)
"Well, I gotta ask, what was it like? Saving the world."
"It, well, to be honest it didn't go great, not at the end." (Stop.)
"'Frin?" (Bonnie was looking between you and Ramos. Confused.)
(You continue.) "It should have been impossible getting to the King, really."
"Oh?"
(Stop, Siffrin.)
"Well, I shouldn't really talk about this, but if Isa trusts you, then I'll trust you."
(Siffrin, that's enough, stop talking.)
"But, the truth is--"
(. . .)
(. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .)
(It feels like a migrane with no pain. A force of will. A wave of intense, snapping bones. It feels like your brain gets dunked in ice. It feels like a lot of things, all of them hard to explain.)
(But you had to stop Siffrin from talking.)
(You stare at the stranger who's name is Ramos. Whatever Ramos could do, that was it. Siffrin was about to talk about the loops, the wish, everything. All that to an enemy.)
"Siffrin?" (Ramos was staring at you.) "Are you alright?"
(What did you do, Ramos. What did you do to Siffrins little head. You had a cold anger in your soul. Ramos had hurt you. Who are you, Ramos. What are you. You stand up.)
"'Feeling alright, Siffy?" (Nille asks.)
(You open your mouth. You ask a quesion.)
(You see all three of them wince. Nille is conused, Bonnie is gripping their head, Ramos is looking at you, afraid.)
"S-siffrin?? I, uh, didn't quite catch that." (You could see Nille trying to comprehend what you asked.)
(You look at Ramos, they looked confused, and pained. Did they not understand? You say something else.)
"H-hey cut it out, it's giving me a headache."
(Ramos is looking back at you. You can see a fear in their eyes. What do you look like to them right now. Like a monster? Good. You speak again.)
"I, I-I can't understand, please!"
"'F-frin..."
(You open your mouth. You want to hurt them. You want to know what they did. You need to. If they don't understand you, fine then. You'll just keep asking them. As long as it-)
"'Hurts..."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Siffrin?" (Ramos was staring at you.) "Are you alright?"
(. . .)
(You stand up wordlessly. They didn't know the language. They didn't recognize it. So they weren't from home. So how could they make a wish. Was it dumb luck? Not likely.)
(But, Bonnie...)
(. . . You leave to your room. You ignore them calling after you. It didn't matter anyway.)
(You're tired. You looped again. Yes, it was only a few moments back, though. You could feel the nausea starting to catch up to you, but you forced yourself to continue. You're in your room. You grab your hat. As much as you told Siffrin your skin was sensitive, they ignored you. Thats why you wear a hat, stupid.)
(You Move fast. You go to the window. The jump out isn't that bad. You get up on the windowsil, and jump out. You land solidly, and run for the library.)
(The sprint gave you a chance to think. Ramos did something to Siffrin, and now Siffrin thought Ramos was some friend. It made you sick. What did Ramos do? Touch you? They did touch your hand. Was that it?)
(Why was Bonnie bleeding. Why were they bleeding that shade?)
(You ignore that question, for now.)
(You're at the library. You run inside. There you see Odile, Isabeau, and Mirabelle all about to leave with a couple books. You sprint over.)
"Siffrin?!?" (Mirabelle spots you first.) "What are you doing here? Did something happen???"
(You don't, can't, respond. Instead you go to Odile, who was holding the books, and tapped one.)
". . . What?" (Odile looked confused.)
"Uhh... Are you wondering if we found something?" (Isabeau spoke up. You nod.)
"Ah, well yes we found something. But is everything alright, Siffrin?"
(That didn't matter right now. You shake your head, and tap the book impatiently.)
"Alright alright." (Odile puts the books down on a nearby table and opens one, you follow.)
"Should, shouldn't we be worried??? If something bad happened??" (Mirabelle asked. She was scared.)
"Well, if Siffrin ran all the way here then I bet they're about to loop back anyways." (Isa said confidently. He was also scared.)
"Quite.. Ah here." (Odile got to a page in the book. Looking at it now, it was craftonomy. The page was on different crafts and what kind of tactile response they had with a body.) "This one, a strong scent of mint is often assosiated with potent Mind Craft."
(Mind craft.)
(Odile continued.) "An advanced craft type that's distantly related to body craft; its use is... contreversal. In Ka Bue it is explicitly banned."
"I was taught a little about mind craft at the House, about how it can be used to help with someones memory, or to forget a traumatic experience." (Mirabelle added.) "We weren't ever taught it, though."
"I mostly see it in fiction. Mind crontroll, brainwashing, spooky stuff like that." (Isabeau comments.)
(You keep looking over the page. Strong sense of mint. Confusion. Hard to master. That must be it. Ramos' touch gripped Siffrins mind. You nod.)
"Compared to time craft it shouldn't be hard to undo. Unless it's powered by a wish." (Odile muses.) "Tell the next me about it then, if we don't have time here."
(You nod. It was about time for that then. Your hand slips into your cloak and to your dagger.)
(. . . Isabeau is looking at you.)
(There's an awkward silence. Odile breaks it.) "Er, actually, Mirabelle, Isabeau, there's some complicated intricacies I'll need to explain. Could you go make sure Ramos doesn't disturb us?"
"Huh?? I-I mean-"
"Leave it to us, M'dame!" (With that, Isabeau rushes to the library entrance, Mirabelle hesitated, but followed. You look up at Odile.)
". . ."
(. . .)
(There is a painful silence.)
"I, wanted to ask you something. I did not feel comfortable asking with those two around." (she eventually said. Looking at her face, it was stressed, worried.)
(she continued.) "Siffrin, or, if you want to be called that. Please be honest with me. Do you... Use your dagger in order to loop back."
(Oh Odile, still she surprises you. You tilt your head slightly as if to say "go on.")
"You've had... Moments ever since we defeated the King, and, forgive me if I'm being insensitive, you always seemed to not Care too much about your own wounds." (She paused, clearly uncomfortable.) "That, combined with... With everything, really. It would make sense."
(. . . You nod.)
". . . Is it the only way?"
(You put up a wavy hand. Not sure.)
"Is it the only consistent way? That you know of at least."
(You nod.)
". . . It, does it hurt?"
(You nod. Odile is looking at you, brow creased. She pinches the bridge of her nose. After a moment, and taking a breath, she continues.)
". . . In a next loop. We can, figure out something better than that. If you tell me I promised to keep it secret from the others, I probably will, too."
(You nod, and file that away with Odile's other offer. She was reaching out to you. Why. You don't trust her.)
". . . Thank you, Siffrin." (She takes a breath, and turns her back to you, waiting. Ah, she doesn't want to see.)
(Whatever. It's time. You take out your dagger and. . .)
💤 A headcanon about their sleep
Tumblr media
Or rather, his lack of sleep? 'you think Tord would actually have a healthy sleep schedule? nah, he's an insomnia warrior. Sometimes he forgets to sleep when he gets too focused on whatever invention he's working on.
🪢 A headcanon about their family
Tumblr media
OLDER BROTHER ATTACK!!!! I think I did mention him a few times here already, but say hi to Dominik, Tord's older brother. Yeah he's also Red Leader yes he created the Red """"Army""""" in my hcs and he did that because he . Uh. Wanted to create a cool team of vigilantes? I dunno he's just as much of a nerd as his younger brother, even though he tries to seem more mature and collected. He's the leader after all....
Don't catch him when he's geeking out over his incredible plans or whatever.
Tumblr media
fun fact I forgot Yanov was also related to these two while I was drawing for this ask. (Which is also a sort of old hc that came from a bunch of discussions with friends-)
Yeah! Yanov is also related to the two brothers! Only half related to them because of an...affair one of their parents had at some point. kinda fucked up (their parents then had a divorce, and one of them did discuss about said affair to the brothers at some point on two different instances)
The three brothers are very close to each other despite that- with Yanov trying to be the middle ground (kinda literally, considering he's the middle child) and the mediator between the two. Considering he's definitely the chiller of the three. He's the anchor, or whatever. Or maybe he's just laid back.
“I’m not doing it.”
Hob grinned a bit–there’d been some gentle ribbing between them on the subject already, and he was happy to slip into the well-worn argument. The kids in question were away, anyway, it couldn’t do any harm. “Dream…come on, you know you’re more qualified than me for this. Besides, do you really want an ADHD-er to try to teach another ADHD-er to drive?”
“I don’t want to be in any vehicle either of our sons are operating. I would prefer they not drive at all, but I know that’s a foolish wish.” Dream swept passed, not bothering to take the pile of clothes he'd been folding. Hob stood and watched for a moment, dumbfounded. The reaction was bigger than he'd expected–he honestly thought the argument was all in fun. It wouldn't be the first playful disagreement they'd had over the kids as teenager-dom posed new challenges for them.
He started to follow behind, but stopped himself a few steps in. Dream was a very different person than Hob. For whatever reason, this had upset him, and Dream was the kind of person who preferred space when upset. Much as Hob wanted to just go and hug him, that simply wasn’t the best choice. So instead, he veered from the hallway and retreated to the kitchen, pulling out the leftover rice, a few eggs, pre-cooked chicken breast, and a few veggies from the fridge. Homemade fried rice was one of the first dishes Hob had cooked for Dream, and it was a favorite of theirs when a quick meal was needed. Tonight it wasn’t necessarily about the speed, though. He hoped it could be a comfort.
Dream didn’t emerge from the bedroom until dinner was ready, and when he did, he seemed…withdrawn. Hob held himself back from pushing, from asking immediately what the matter was. He could damn well guess, now that he’d had some time to reflect. What he remained unsure of–more importantly, really–was whether Dream would actually want to talk about it.
Dream held his silence.
Well. Hob was never one to disappoint a captive audience. He chattered on–about his day, about his students and their determination to win the little contest he’d set up to let them earn extra credit (find the crudest joke they could in a period piece of literature and deliver it properly when he least expected it. Today’s attempt included the ‘your mother’ joke from Titus Andronicus at the end of class, right as he was taking a sip of coffee. The three who’d done it were the front-runners, so far.), about how his journaling attempt was going (abysmally–it was Friday, and he had managed to actually use the fancy set up he’d spent  over an hour setting up a grand total of once.), about anything that came to his mind.
It wasn’t until Hob was clearing away the dishes that Dream finally spoke. “...They’re growing up.” The words were quiet, Dream’s already low voice gaining just a bit of gravel, as it did when he had been crying recently. He was still sat at the table, shoulders pulling in and up. In that moment, Dream seemed to transform from a person into the sad, wet cat one just happened to find in a dumpster.
Hob just wanted to hug him, dammit. He took a breath and resisted, though–he knew Dream tended to actually dislike touch when he was upset, so he would wait until he asked for the contact. “Yeah. Not a fun realization, that one.”
“...I don’t want them to grow up.” He shook his head. “It was not too long ago Orpheus would sit in my lap and beg for story time. Now he’s going to drive. How far will he go from us once he is able?”
“Oh, dove…” Hob paused at the confession. God, he was familiar with that realization. Honestly, he’d been putting off looking at it head-on, himself. At least until he could schedule some time to watch brainless rom-coms with a pint of ice cream (yes, he had the coping methods of a teenage girl dealing with her first break-up, no, he would brook no judgment on that fact). “I get it. But we can’t stop them, you know that.” He sighed. “Look, I’ll teach them both how to drive–I was gonna, anyway, I know you don’t really like driving in the first place. We just…have to have a little faith that they’ll come back. They know they can come back, whenever they need to.”
Dream sighed, and looked up at Hob. “I…could do with a hug, now. If you are willing.”
And that was all the invitation Hob needed to drag Dream to the livingroom and settle them both in for a cuddle.
As it turned out, they needn’t have worried. Robyn was a natural at driving–he couldn’t engage in conversation while he was behind the wheel, but that was fine by Hob. And Orpheus was nervous enough about it that he didn’t end up getting his license right away–which was fine by Dream.
twelve days of kolowv: day 12
my baby @theapocryphaofantares's birthday is in twelve days, and because i love him with all my heart he gets a small microfic every day until he gets his big present on his actual birthday.
day 12: note | jegulus | words: 994
Regulus is going to kill James Potter.
He doesn’t know when he’ll do it, or how he’ll do it, but just know that he will do it at some point.
James sits behind him in the one class that they have together, which is some bogus history course that Regulus is taking as an elective. Why James is taking this class? He has no idea, considering that James is in the science program and more than likely finished all of his pre requisites. He tries not to pay attention to James—he ignores him the best that he can.
However, since day one of this semester, James has gone out of his way to throw little pieces of paper at Regulus’ head. It’s annoying, especially when Regulus turns around and sees James with a stupid grin on his face like he won something. Sometimes he’ll do it twice, but usually when that happens, Regulus will choose to not even bother to look back. He refuses to give James that satisfaction.
But today? Today, James does it three times. It’s been two months of this, and yeah, sure, once, Regulus expects it. Twice? It’s rare, but it does happen. Three? That makes Regulus want to rip James’ head off of his body. He turns around while the professor is still talking away about ancient civilization and gives James the deadliest glare he could.
“What?” Regulus hisses at him. “What do you want?”
James leans forward, and that horrible, god awful smirk growing on his face. “Your attention.”
Regulus is baffled, because what kind of answer was that?
“So you throw paper at my head?”
“If you bothered to actually open them up, you’d see that they’re notes.”
“What makes you think—”
“Is there a problem over there, Mr. Potter and Mr. Black?” Professor Slughorn asks, raising an eyebrow. Everyone has their heads turned to them, and Regulus can feel his face growing warm. “Anything you’d like to share?”
“No, not at all, sir,” James replies. “Sorry, didn’t mean to interrupt.”
Professor Slughorn takes a few seconds before speaking again. Regulus shifts in his seat, looking around to see if he can at least try and move to a different area where James wouldn’t be able to follow and sit behind him next time. He goes back to taking his notes, scribbling whatever words were coming out of Professor Slughorn’s mouth. The only reason why he stops is because he feels something hit his head again, and he sees the crumbled paper fall next to his foot.
Regulus sighs before picking it up. He carefully opens up the crumbled piece of paper and frowns because he can’t fucking read what this note even says. It’s all shitty handwriting and creases and smeared blue ink. Regulus looks behind him to see James give him a confused look.
“What does this even say?” Regulus whispers, holding up the note to show James.
“It says meet me after class.”
Regulus turns his attention back to the front of the classroom where Professor Slughorn is passionately speaking to a student who had just asked a question. He looks down at the note in his hand and runs his thumb over the words, shaking his head.
* * *
“What do you want?” Regulus asks James once class is over.
They’re standing in the hallway of the lecture hall, trying to stay out of the way of everyone leaving.
“Is it wrong to just want to talk to you?”
“Do you have a reason to talk to me?”
“Do I need to have a reason?” James asks, smiling. Regulus rolls his eyes, because he’s not going to fall for this shit. Absolutely not. He’s not going to fall for James’ toothy smile and how his chocolate eyes glisten in this stupid yellow light from the hallway ceiling and he’s definitely not going to fall for the way that James runs his fingers through his unruly hair. “I just wanted to say hi, check in, see how you’re doing is all.”
“And that warrants you throwing paper at my head?”
“I told you there were notes,” James replies, shrugging. “Not my fault you didn’t bother to actually look at them. There were some important things I said, too.”
“Can you just cut the bullshit and tell me what you want?” Regulus asks. “I don’t have time for this, I have another class to get to—”
“Go on a date with me,” James says, cutting him off. “Just one.”
Regulus is frozen in place, because that’s definitely not what he was expecting to come out of James’ mouth. James Potter, his brother’s best friend, wants to take him out on a date and Regulus wants to refuse. Oh, he wants to see James crumble at him saying no—
“What were in the notes?”
“Me trying to ask you out on a date.”
“Why?” Regulus asks.
“Why not?” James rebuts. “Let me show you a good time. I have it all planned out.”
“What makes you think I’m going to say yes to you?”
“Because you won’t say no.”
“Excuse me?” Regulus asks, baffled.
“You heard me,” James says. “You won’t say no.”
And Regulus hates that James is right. He steps closer to Regulus, bringing his hand on Regulus’ face and tilts his chin up, making eye contact. Regulus can see the determination in his eyes, and he’s practically speechless at this point because he didn’t think that James would be this fucking ballsy. He should’ve known better, though. When James Potter wants something, he won’t stop until he gets it.
“Fine,” Regulus murmurs, pulling away from James. “Just one.”
“Perfect,” James says. “I’ll pick you up at seven. Wear something nice.”
Regulus watches as James walks away from him, and for Christ’s sake.
Regulus is so fucked.
Michael Kaiser — Pissing on Romance's Grave
PAIRING: Michael Kaiser/Reader WORD COUNT: 1.3k TYPE: Humor, Established relationship WARNING(S): tw Kaiser
Today is worse than a plague.
Well… Exaggerated inner turmoil aside, you’ve been having an awful day. It’s like you’ve been waddling through a swamp of bullshit. Even now you’re climbing up the stairs to your apartment because the stupid elevator broke. Could’ve been worse, you suppose — at least you weren’t inside when it malfunctioned.
The feeble attempt at optimism, however, isn’t easing your hatred and misery at all. Proof of your ever present anger is how you almost rip the door off its hinges after you unlock it, barging in, then closing it with a bang again.
While taking off your shoe, you register a strange smell. Of something burnt. Maybe you’re resigned to the fate that it’s probable you’ll die today, so while you are alarmed, it’s not enough to make you hurry and run with your other shoe still on. Even when you do begin your trek with heavy footsteps, your pace is brisk at best, following the scent right to your bedroom.
You don’t hesitate, but perhaps you should’ve, since it would’ve given you a moment to brace yourself. Still, nothing could’ve really prepared you for the sight that greets you once you enter.
“I can explain,” Kaiser says with wide eyes, reaching out his hands in front of him in case you try to lunge at him and go in for the kill.
Your bathrobe looks burned. Usually this isn’t an observation you’d be making, but you’re forced to now, what with Kaiser wearing it… for some godforsaken reason. Your bed is in even worse condition, tattered and covered in soot, melting candles knocked over. Wax sticking to the ruined sheets. Rose petals are scattered all over the floor. Many of them are ashy like they got caught up in whatever incident occurred. Three more candles dripping over the flowers and the carpet, all these things culminating in a giant mess.
What the actual fuck are you looking at?
“Open the window!” you scream at him then gesture towards it, maybe in case he doesn’t know what a ‘window’ is. It wouldn’t surprise you at this point with the way things are going.
“I did!” Kaiser says, annoyed, as if he has any right to be giving you an attitude in this situation. Though, recognizing the murderous intent in your face, he fumbles to reach out and open it. “I did, but I got cold, so I closed it.”
“Yeah, speaking of, why the hell are you wearing my bathrobe?”
“Because I didn’t want to bring mine-”
“Why do you need to be wearing a bathrobe. At. All.”
“For the atmosphere.”
“For the atmosphere?” You throw your hands up in the air in exasperation. “For the atmosphere?! There’s no atmosphere, this is just a fire hazard!”
“It was going to be romantic-”
“Why did you close the window even though the room hasn’t aired out and stayed inside? Why were you even- What if something happened to you?!”
Kaiser smirks at you, content all of a sudden, before he crosses his arms. You could punch him in the face. “Oh, so you’re worried about me. You’d be sad if I died.” He says all this in the tone of announcing a triumph he’s holding over your head.
You ignore him, stepping over one of the roses. Kaiser regards the action with mild offense, which you don’t notice, since you’re too lost in the haze of your rage to even comprehend what’s going on. “How did you even manage this?”
“There was a miscalculation.”
“What does that mean?”
“I, um, I… tried to pose on the bed,” says Kaiser. This is the first time you’ve seen him look shameful during your entire time together, averting his gaze away from yours and all. Which is one way to affirm his statement and plan are particularly stupid, since he’s the type to stare at you straight on, unflinching, and smirk at you while telling you the dumbest shit.
“Pose?”
“You know. You know what I mean, right? Like a French girl? Yeah, like that.” The more he explains it, the more pathetic his mumbling is getting. To think even Kaiser, who’s obsessed with the sound of his voice, is capable of an inside voice.
You’ve never been so tense in your life. You might be developing a hernia in your neck. “Oh right, of course. Right! Because why wouldn’t you do that while wearing something flammable? I’m so stupid, how didn’t I think of that? Also, why in the world were you trying to LIGHT UP THE CANDLES AGAIN?! Like, let them rest, they’re already fucking done for! I saw you!”
“For the- for my artistic purposes. Of course. A real visionary doesn’t just give up after a small mishap.”
“And! The key I gave you is for emergencies! Not for you to-”
“But it was!!! A fucking emergency!”
“-set fires in my home! What are you even doing here?” You finish off your speech with a huff. Your tantrum has exhausted you, but at the same time it’s convenient you can use Kaiser as a verbal punching bag because of his lunacy.
Now he’s channeling his kicked puppy eyes. Like, he’s trying his best to force himself to cry, you can tell by the way he’s squinting at you and straining. When the effort proves futile he gives up and settles for glaring at you. “Alright, I know I messed up, but it’s obvious I was trying to surprise you for our anniversary.”
You blink at him. Then stay quiet.
“You forgot!” he accuses, trying to distract you from being mad at him by creating some fabricated emotional torment. Then he tries to force himself to cry again, and all you do in response to the display is roll your eyes.
Damn, you can’t believe your day has been so awful, your one year anniversary slipped your mind. These people are working you to an early grave.
“Whatever,” you say, before making a vague motion all around. “Clean up.”
His jaw hangs open as if he’s scandalized. “What? You want me to clean this shit all by myself?”
“You inflicted this on my poor bed alone. Clean it, now.”
Seeing that you’re apparently not dying of guilt, Kaiser decides to switch tactics. “But! My beloved, light of my life, fire in my groin-”
“That’s-” you interrupt your own sentence with a groan and resist the urge to either sock him in the jaw or find a way to knock yourself out through some obscure pressure point. Then you shake your head. Unfortunately it does nothing useful like for example maybe erasing the last twenty-four hours from your mind and instead remains as a meaningless gesture. “Not how it goes.”
“I know,” he says, satisfied with himself and his ridiculous antics. At least you think he must be from his annoying, smug grin. Though immediately after Kaiser appears to get a mood swing because his lips twist down again. “I can’t believe you forgot about our anniversary, though. And now you’re making me act like a maid. Do I mean nothing to you? You’re breaking my spirit here and this is an unethical dynamic-”
“Micha, I don’t give a fuck about your guilt tripping act. Just clean this up so we can enjoy the rest of our day.”
“Fine. Whatever. You win. You win! Your heartlessness wins against my romantic soul. Is that what you wanted to hear?”
You grit your teeth. “Shut up and get on with it.”
“Okay.” He deflates like a particularly depressed balloon.
You then proceed to watch as Kaiser makes his way around and acts like gathering and throwing away rose petals is the most difficult thing anyone has ever done. In his mind, this experience must be the most suffering anyone’s ever endured — but who knows what goes through his head. Several times, he offers to buy you a new apartment because he ‘doesn’t feel like dealing with this’ and since it’s ‘below him.’
And the whole time you’re observing him and his behavior, you can’t help but wonder what mental institution this man must’ve crawled out of to then find his path leading to you.
You Can Find Me Where the Skies are Blue (BuckTommy fic) - 4/7
Summary:
Soulmates are rare. So rare that it's actually incredible that Buck has two soulmate couples in his life. Statistics tell him it's very unlikely for him to meet his soulmate. Of course, then he meets Tommy. Too bad it happens at the worst possible moment.
Canon compliant soulmate AU where Buck is still a mess and Tommy is still very understanding.
Eddie’s Chevelle was gorgeous. Old cars just had something about them that gave them so much more character than anything more modern. She was in good condition, too, had probably spent little time out in the sun or other weather. Tommy was more than a little impressed.
He had Eddie drive her into the garage and right onto the lift even if he didn’t intend to lift her up just yet. Instead, he opened the hood. Eddie joined him.
“Car’s in great condition,” Tommy said.
“My Abuela kept it mostly in the garage with a cover. It actually belonged to my Abuelo and she couldn’t get rid of it. But once she decided to move back to Texas, she figured it was time and passed it to me.”
“I’m gonna take a quick look,” Tommy said. “See if I find anything that needs work.”
“Sure,” Eddie said, and when Tommy looked away from the car found that Eddie had started to wander.
Tommy didn’t mind. His garage doubled as his home gym and he was sure that a guy like Eddie might appreciate his set up from his mats to the bench press and his weights to the punching bag that Tommy had added most recently.
“I gotta say, you really got a nice set up here,” Eddie said, returning to where Tommy was tinkering with the car. “I’ve always wanted to do something at my place but I really don’t have the space.”
Eddie wasn’t wrong that the Chevelle needed a little bit of a tune up, but it really was in good condition. Whatever Eddie had been doing, he’d been keeping up with the maintenance.
“I got kind of tired of going to an actual gym,” Tommy said. “Between this and what we have at work I get all the exercise I need. Of course, there’s no machine or punching bag that can take the place of a real person for sparring.”
That seemed to catch Eddie’s interest. “Wait, do you do MMA?”
“Muay Thai,” Tommy supplied.
Eddie grinned at him. “I think you just found a sparring partner.”
“Yeah?”
“Absolutely,” Eddie said.
Tommy felt his excitement too.
By the time that Eddie left, his car’s engine sounded better than it had when it arrived and Tommy was left behind just a little bit sweatier with the satisfaction of having taken Eddie down. The singular thing that brought him down was knowing that Evan had yet to answer his text.
Tommy didn’t want to be pushy. He didn’t want to overwhelm Evan. He figured he’d give him until the start of his shift and then text him again. If that failed, then there was always Wednesday night.
Before Eddie left, Tommy had made a point of inviting him out to the bar for karaoke night. He had also made a point of insisting that Eddie invite Hen and Chim and of course Evan and even Bobby if Bobby could be persuaded to show up. Significant others welcome too. It’d be nice to see everyone again of course, but his real goal was Evan. In that setting, Tommy would find some way to get him off to the side and then they could really talk or make plans to talk. Whatever worked, The point was seeing him again and Tommy was not above making it happen in a roundabout way.
Eddie had been happy to agree and he’d also gotten Tommy to agree to go with him to a pick up basketball game that some firefighters had put together. Tommy figured it’d be fun.
After a shower to wash off the sweat, Tommy finally dealt with Lucy, calling her because that seemed a lot easier.
She picked up after one ring. “Evan Buckley,” she said.
“Yeah. Evan Buckley.”
Lucy laughed. “I’m actually…the more I’ve thought about it the more I kinda see it. I just had no idea Buck swung that way. Not that it ever came up. He had a girlfriend when I worked with him. That chick that wrote that book about firefighters that kinda blew up for a minute.”
Tommy could picture the book in his mind. He remembered it because it had been literally everywhere. Someone had even brought a few copies into Harbor. There was still some kind of ongoing legal battle about it from LAFD’s end which was kinda hilarious.
“He dated that woman?” Tommy asked.
“Yeah…I know,” Lucy said. “I don’t think even he liked her very much. I mean…he kinda cheated on her.”
“And you know this how?” Tommy asked. His heart was racing.
“Because on the night I met Buck we got really drunk of tequila and maybe we got a bit flirty and he never told me he had a girlfriend and I kissed him. I wanted…well, I wanted you to know. We never really talked about it and it never happened again.”
“Did you want it to?”
Lucy let out a sigh. “Yes. No. He’s hot, can you blame me? The point is he never pursued it and I backed off. And we were really drunk. And now he’s your soulmate.”
“And he’s straight,” Tommy said. “Might mean you still have a shot.” He hated the words even as he said them.
Maybe it was a result of being deep in the closet and not getting to experience any real firsts until his late twenties — and even then it hadn’t been out in the open — but Tommy had never gotten good at telling when someone was queer unless they were being very loud about it. He’d always been a little shocked when approached by a guy that clocked him because Tommy didn’t think he ever really gave that vibe. So, he really had no idea when it came to Evan. Except that he was his soulmate.
“You don’t know that,” Lucy said. “Just because he’s only been with women in the past…”
“Soulmates are not always romantic,” Tommy said.
“You don’t know that,” Lucy said.
“Lucy,” Tommy said. “That’s…no, just look at the numbers. There are plenty of platonic soulmates. If that is what Evan and I are then that’s fine too. I’ve been realizing lately just how lonely I really am.”
It was true. Between not having anyone to really tell about finding his soulmate and finding so much enjoyment in hanging out with Eddie and the way that he did feel a little bit like he’d missed out on something when he left the 118, Tommy had realized that he had sort of settled for being on his own. It wasn’t that he hated it, but it did get lonely. He knew Evan would change that — they were soulmates after all — it was just that Tommy didn’t want to put all of that on Evan. The pressure of meaning absolutely everything.
“However this turns out,” Lucy said, “I got your back, Kinard.”
Buck spent the first hour on shift trying his hardest to keep from asking Eddie about how the night before had gone with Tommy. He’d seen the text from Tommy when he woke up that morning, had felt warm reading it and realizing that Tommy really was interested in getting to know him and yet he hadn’t known what to text back. As rude as it felt to just leave it, he figured he would respond sometime during the day and that Tommy would just have to wait. Maybe it was a little bit petty too, but Buck didn’t care.
When he saw Eddie in the locker room he almost asked then, but held himself back. He was grateful to Ravi asking Chim questions about the wedding. It had also kept Hen from making any comments, though Buck had caught her making eyes at him a few times once they were all up on the loft like she was trying to communicate to Buck that they should talk.
When he couldn’t hold it in any longer, they were on a call. It was only him, Eddie, and Ravi because Hen and Chim had gone as an additional RA to another scene. It felt like the right time and place to bring it up.
“Uh. Hey, you never said. How was Vegas?” Buck ventured to ask.
“Quick trip,” Eddie said as if it was the type of thing that he did normally when Buck knew for a fact it wasn’t.
“I’ll bet. How long does it take to chopper there?”
“One hour,” Eddie said.
“You took a chopper to Vegas?” Ravi asked.
“And how was the fight?” Buck asked, ignoring Ravi.
“Fight was okay. Seats were amazing. Tommy’s buddies with the promoter so we were ringside. Felt like I was the one throwing the punches.”
Maybe it would have been fun to be there, but it really wasn’t Buck’s thing. He didn’t see the appeal to watching two people try to pummel each other.
“Who’s Tommy?” he heard Ravi ask.
My soulmate, Buck wanted to answer. He held it in. He felt a bit foolish maybe or embarrassed that he hadn’t told Eddie. Not that they’d had any time to talk lately. He didn’t want to just drop the information while walking into a restaurant for a call that dispatch hadn’t been sure wasn’t a prank.
As it turned out, it wasn’t a prank. They called it in to dispatch even though the restaurant manager had already called the police. Ravi had gone down there and Buck wanted to continue the conversation.
“I’m not surprised you had a great time in Vegas,” Buck ventured. “You and Tommy have a lot of things in common. Both in the Army. Both like watching half naked men pummel each other.”
As he listed it, it also dawned on him that he and Tommy didn’t have those things in common and maybe not even other things. He knew, logically, that people could have different interests. Buck and Eddie were good friends and they weren’t into the same things. Chim and Maddie had their own hobbies too. And though he could have very long discussions about cosmic things revolving black holes and time dilation and why exactly Pluto wasn’t a planet with Karen, Hen tended to just tune them out. Still, it left something of a bad taste in his mouth to know that Eddie and Tommy had bonded that much when he hadn’t even gotten a chance.
“Tommy’s pretty cool,” Eddie said. “It’s been a while since I met someone who can go toe to toe with me in muay thai.”
That caught Buck short. How many times had Eddie hung out with Tommy? They did all meet the same night right? He wasn’t crazy to feel like things weren’t adding up. He hated the way that it twisted at his gut, how it made him feel uncomfortable.
“Uh, you guys went to muay thai together?”
“He’s got a set up in his garage. We sparred a bit when I took the Chevelle over.”
“You…you took the Chevelle over?” Buck asked and he hoped his voice didn’t give away his feelings.
Eddie had even gone over to Tommy’s? When had Eddie even had the time? It had barely been a whole week since they met Tommy.
“Yeah, he’s got a car lift. The guy really knows his engines. You should hear that thing purr now.”
Buck had seen the Chevelle all of twice since Eddie took custody of it. It was a beautiful car, well preserved for its age. He’d sat in the passenger seat while Eddie drove them around and while he’d appreciated the car, it hadn’t really held his interest. He’d never been much of a car guy.
After his Jeep was flooded during the hurricane, he’d just gone through the process of replacing it through insurance. He hadn’t even thought about getting a different car. He only really had a Jeep in the first place since Maddie had given him her Jeep as a way to escape their parents. That car had gotten him pretty far until Buck sold it and used the money to travel down to South America. When he moved back and needed a car, he’d just figured a Jeep would do and he’d stuck to that ever since.
They checked in with Ravi, and Buck was so glad that he wasn’t the one down there, though maybe it would have been preferable to talking to Eddie about Tommy.
“Well, listen, I — I think it’s great,” Buck said and maybe it was. He did want his best friend and his soulmate to get along. “You know, you can’t have enough friends right?”
“Right,” Eddie said. “You know, it’s like that thing when you meet somebody and you just click. You know what I mean? Kinda like the soulmate thing. You meet someone and you just know you want them in your life or however it is that works.”
Buck felt like his stomach give a turn.
“I do,” Buck said. “I really do.”
The feeling in his stomach, the churning and twisting intensified. He knew exactly what it felt like, the instant connection that Eddie was talking about and it was so much more than the bond between two people that had similar hobbies. It didn’t change that Buck downright hated it. How dare Eddie just swoop in and become more interesting to Buck’s own soulmate?
“So, when do you think you’ll see him again?” Buck ventured to ask, hoping that Eddie didn’t already have plans with Tommy.
“He’s got this Karaoke bar trivia thing on Wednesday,” Eddie said.
Buck saw an opening. He was ready to invite himself along. The words were ready, but Eddie spoke first.
“Hey, what are you doing Wednesday?” Eddie asked and Buck felt hopeful because if Eddie invited him along then he and Tommy could possibly get some time to talk. It’d be perfect.
“Me? Uh, yeah, no I’m free. Totally free Wednesday.”
“Do you think you could watch Christopher for me?”
Disappointment hit him almost exactly like the guy they were rescuing had been hit. A car driving too fast with a driver too irresponsible to accept consequences. Eddie was the driver and he’d just swept Buck into a sewer. When he agreed, it felt like resignation. This was Buck’s role…the babysitter while Eddie went out and had fun with Buck’s very own soulmate. He knew that if he said something about Tommy being his soulmate that Eddie would back off, but Buck didn’t want that. He didn’t want to get to Tommy because Eddie canceled their plans not to mention that he didn’t want to tell Eddie this way.
When they got back to the 118, Buck didn’t stick around to talk to Eddie. He found Bobby cooking and after the weeks where he’d been gone on that cruise, it was a very welcome sight. This was where Bobby belonged.
“You alright, Buck?” Bobby asked.
Of course he could tell that something was up. It was something of Bobby’s superpower. One of the things that made him an amazing Captain and maybe what had drawn Buck to open up to him.
“What do you think about soulmates?” Buck asked.
“Soulmates,” Bobby said. “I guess it isn’t something we’ve ever discussed. What brings this on?”
“Just…I guess I was thinking about it. Was, uh, wondering what you thought about it.”
“Is this another one of your late night research things?” Bobby asked with an amused smile.
Buck shrugged. “I guess it’s just interesting…like the idea that two people could ever just fit that well together. I was reading about Plato’s Symposium because that’s one of the earliest things we have about explaining it even though there’s so many records that were kept about people meeting their soulmates. It’s why there can even be a claim about how fewer soulmate meetings there are. In the Symposium, Aristophane explains love and soulmates like the gods splitting souls in half as a punishment for humanity. So we walk around trying to find the other half of our souls to then finally become complete.”
“That’s interesting,” Bobby said. “It’s a little mythical. A story.”
“Well, yeah,” Buck said, “but soulmates are real even if only a portion of the population ever manages to find their soulmates.”
Bobby nodded, thoughtfully. “There are stories within every culture and within many religions. Some people put more meaning to it, but I don’t think not being soulmates with someone devalues that relationship.”
“I know,” Buck said. “You and Athena…it’s amazing.”
“It isn’t perfect,” Bobby said. “All relationships need work. Even when you are soulmates. What else did you find?”
Research was what he did when he was worrying about something. Information was everything to Buck. He loved talking about the things he found and everyone at the 118 had been subjected to Buck’s info dumps. Sometimes, if relevant, he could even bring things up during calls.
“Well, I started to look at platonic soulmates,” Buck said.
Bobby looked a bit taken aback. “Platonic soulmates,” he repeated.
“Yeah,” Buck said, letting out a nervous breath. “Most of them are same sex soulmates. Which I think is a bit of historical erasure to keep everything heterosexual. But I guess it does happen. There are a few these days that say they’re platonic…I just wondered about it like how if you find your soulmate, there is no way any other relationship could ever mean as much, could it?”
Bobby smiled at him. “I think every friendship and every relationship is different for everyone, Buck. We each have a lot of love to give.”
“Yeah,” Buck said.
“I guess think about it like this,” Bobby said, “Chimney and Maddie are soulmates and things haven’t been perfect for them. They love each other. They also both love Jee and the love they each hold for their daughter is not diminished because they are soulmates. So yes, maybe it is possible that someone can find their soulmate and still lead a romantic relationship with someone else.”
Buck hadn’t thought about it that way. He realized it was different. A parent’s love was different, but Bobby did have a point. Somehow he still felt just a little strange at the thought that Tommy could be his soulmate and still have a girlfriend or a wife…that Buck could do the same. Something about it felt wrong, he just had no idea why.
“Why is it you’re worrying about this?” Bobby asked.
Bobby really did know him too well. It wasn’t that Buck hadn’t intended to tell Bobby, it was that he was still trying to figure it all out for himself. But maybe that was part of the problem, Buck needed to communicate more.
“I met my soulmate, Bobby,” Buck said.
“Buck, that’s great,” Bobby said.
“I don’t know,” Buck said. “I thought so at first, but I just…it’s a dude and I mean, this has to be platonic, right? I’m not…I love women. Not that it even matters maybe because he’s busy hanging out with someone else.”
“Ah,” Bobby said. “It’s still a good thing, Buck. You found your soulmate…whatever that looks like for the two of you, I’m happy for you.”
“Thanks, Bobby. I just hate not knowing.”
“Not knowing?”
“We’ve barely talked. I just want…I guess I just want all of this to be figured out already.”
Bobby chuckled. “Buck, you know by now that nothing works like that.”
Buck sighed. He dropped his head. “This should be the easy thing, though, shouldn’t it be?”
“Eventually it might very well be.”
Buck wanted nothing more than to hold onto that.
Wednesday night, Tommy took a little longer than usual getting ready. He went through a few different shirts until finally settling on a blue henley, threw on a brown leather jacket over it and touched up his hair. He hoped he didn’t look like he was trying too hard. It was just that things hadn’t exactly gone right the first time he and Evan got together after their first meeting. His fault entirely. Looking back, Tommy should have pushed that meeting to a day when he didn’t already have plans even if it meant waiting a little longer to see him.
Eddie had never confirmed whether Evan was coming, but when they texted earlier, Tommy had reiterated that Eddie should invite Evan, Hen, and Chim along. Eddie had only sent back a thumbs up, but Tommy was hopeful. After all, he had finally gotten a response from Evan.
Evan: Thank you for the message. I hope we can get that beer soon whenever you’re not busy.
Tommy took it to mean that maybe Evan was coming along with Eddie, but that he didn’t want to say it outright. So, he took a bit of extra time on his appearance and then he left for the bar a bit on the early side. He was excited, not nervous.
Tommy had thought about inviting Lucy along, especially since she already knew everyone. Except that she would be a menace when it came to him and Evan and neither of them needed that. Hen knew about it, he had yet to text her back after her message of congratulations but maybe that was another reason to see her in person. Tommy was also pretty sure that Eddie had no idea. Since Chim hadn’t reached out, it also figured it was unlikely that he was aware. Tommy did find it a little curious that despite Eddie claiming to be Evan’s best friend, Evan hadn’t told him about finding his soulmate.
Wednesday nights with the karaoke aspects meant that the bar was a little busier. The girl setting up the karaoke machine already had her sign up sheet out and a few people had signed up to sing. Tommy didn’t know if he would. He wasn’t exactly the best singer, but that wasn’t the point of karaoke and it had never stopped him in the past. It was just that…well, he didn’t want to make an ass of himself in front of Evan.
Eddie arrived some fifteen minutes later, completely on his own.
“Hey, man,” he said and they bumped fists before Eddie sat down. “Didn’t get a drink yet? I’ll get us a couple of beers.”
“Uh, sure,” Tommy said and he didn’t pretend that he didn’t look towards the door to see if Evan would walk in. He perked up every time the door opened, but it wasn’t anyone from the 118.
When Eddie got back, he had two bottles in hand and the waitress behind him brought over two shots of some yellow looking liquid.
“Courage to get us singing,” Eddie said with a grin.
After the waitress left they lifted the shot glasses and downed them in one. Whatever Eddie had picked, it was both sweet and very very alcoholic. Tommy coughed afterwards and he thought that Eddie’s eyes were watering.
“What was that?”
“No idea,” Eddie said. “It had a funny name.”
Tommy laughed. “Next time, stick to vodka or rum.”
“Not tequila?”
“I can’t say I’m a fan of the aftermath.”
Eddie laughed.
Tommy gave it some time. Eddie started telling him about the call they’d had the day before with a guy needing to be rescued from the sewer. Tommy had missed the weird and crazy things that you got called to as a firefighter or paramedic. As a pilot, he spent more time flying than doing any of the rescuing and sometimes he did miss being part of the action instead of just being a part of the transport.
“Hey, is anyone else coming?” Tommy asked when enough time had gone by.
“Oh. Hen and Karen are taking in a foster kid soon so they had a meeting with someone. Chim is busy with wedding planning.”
“And what about Evan?”
“Buck? Oh…he’s actually watching Christopher.”
It took a moment for it to sink in. Eddie was taking a gulp of his drink and his attention was on the stage where the mic was being set up. Lights shone down in multiple colors. Any minute now they would start with the first on the list. There was a small crowd gathering over the folder that held the list of songs available.
Evan wasn’t coming.
Tommy was more than a little disappointed.
Evan wasn’t coming because Eddie had him babysitting his kid. Tommy didn’t want to be there anymore. The whole night…it felt pointless. He’d gone through so many shirts for the possibility of seeing Evan and even though Eddie had never said he was coming, Tommy had sort of told himself that of course Evan would. He’d wanted to see Hen and Chim too, maybe not as much as Evan, but he had definitely wanted to see them.
There was one other thing, though. Tommy knew he couldn’t blame Eddie…it was just that with the other day and the fight he had no idea what this might look like to Evan.
“Did Evan know this was why he’s babysitting?” Tommy asked. “Us going out tonight?”
“Yeah,” Eddie said. “I mentioned it. He was happy to babysit. Didn’t have anything else going on.”
Eddie was absolutely clueless.
Evan’s text from earlier suddenly had an entirely different connotation and Tommy knew he had a choice. He could stay and hang out with Eddie and spend the whole night thinking about Evan…or he could fix it.
“I really was looking forward to seeing everyone,” Tommy said. “That's why I suggested this in the first place.”
“Oh,” Eddie said.
“In fact, there is someone that I actually really do have to see tonight. Right now, in fact.”
“What are you talking about?” Eddie asked.
Tommy didn’t know how Evan would feel about it, but it was his truth to tell as well. So, he looked straight at Eddie.
“I met my soulmate and I need to see him tonight.”
“You met your soulmate,” Eddie said, awe in his voice. “That’s awesome. So why are you here right now? Hell, if I’d met my soulmate I wouldn’t be out with anyone else.”
Tommy chuckled. “Because I was counting on him being here.”
“Him,” Eddie said and Tommy could see his mind trying to fixate that to what he knew about Tommy.
“Yes. Is that a problem, Eddie?”
“No,” Eddie said immediately. “No. Of course not. I just didn’t realize you were…gay? Bi?”
“Gay,” Tommy said.
Eddie nodded. “Alright. Yeah, no problem with that.”
Tommy sighed. He didn’t want to correct Eddie on what Tommy’s soulmate bond might be, but he did like how easily Eddie just took Tommy coming out to him.
“So I need you to do me a favor, Eddie.”
“Yeah, anything,” Eddie said. “Though I don’t know how I can help.”
Tommy chuckled. “I need you to drive us to your house.”
“Tommy that—”
“I just need you to drive us or give me your address so I can take an uber there.”
“But why do you need to go to my house?”
Tommy just stared at him. Eddie raised his bottle to his lips and he was drinking when it seemed to start to click. Tommy didn’t have time for it, though.
“We need to go to your house so you can stay with your kid and I can talk to Evan,” Tommy said
Eddie still didn’t seem to connect the dots. “Why would you need to talk to Buck?”
“Maybe because Evan is my soulmate,” Tommy said. “And when I asked you to invite him and the others tonight it was so that I could talk to him. But now he’s babysitting and I’m hanging out with you. So I need to talk to Evan,”
As Eddie finally came to the right conclusion. His mouth opening into an “oh” of surprise.
“You see, I’ve kinda left him before to hang out with you so…”
“So you gotta talk to Buck,” Eddie said.
Eddie took care of their tab and meanwhile two skinny girls had made it onto the stage as the first ones to take on a song. They were giggling nervously, clearly not drunk enough yet. He and Eddie walked out of the bar as the first notes were starting.
“Wait,” Eddie said once they were in the parking lot.
“Yes?”
“But Buck isn’t gay,” Eddie said.
Tommy could have face palmed.
Short love: Chp 15
Tumblr media
Summary: The is about widowed father Bradley Bradshaw who enlists his brother-in-law Jake Seresin and childhood best friend Robert Floyd to help raise his three daughters, eldest Donna Jo Margaret (D.J for short), middle child Stephanie and youngest Michelle in his San Diego home.
Pairing: Jake "Hangman" Seresin x Reader
Warning: Fluff, flirting
In the hotel room, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation. Jake stood before the mirror, his reflection clad in a sleek tuxedo, his hands slightly trembling with nerves. Bob and Bradley, ever the supportive comrades, bustled around him, adjusting his tie and straightening his lapels with expert precision.
"You're looking sharp, Jake," Bradley remarked, a proud smile gracing his features as he stepped back to admire their handiwork.
Bob nodded enthusiastically, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. "Yeah, you clean up pretty good, buddy," he teased, nudging Jake playfully.
Jake couldn't help but chuckle, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly at his friends' lighthearted banter. "Thanks, guys," he said, his voice filled with gratitude. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
Bradley clapped him on the back, his expression turning serious for a moment. "You're going to do great, Jake," he said, his tone sincere. "Y/n is lucky to have you."
Bob nodded in agreement, his gaze softening with genuine affection. "Yeah, she's a lucky lady," he added, a hint of emotion creeping into his voice.
As the three men shared a moment of camaraderie, Jake felt a surge of gratitude for the unwavering support of his friends. With their encouragement and reassurance, he knew he could face whatever challenges lay ahead, secure in the knowledge that he wasn't alone.
With a final adjustment to his tie and a reassuring pat on the back from Bob and Bradley, Jake took a deep breath, steeling himself for the momentous occasion ahead. Today, he would marry the love of his life, and he couldn't wait to begin this new chapter with Y/n by his side.
As the final preparations were made, Jake couldn't shake the feeling of nervous excitement that coursed through him. This was the day he had been dreaming of, the day he would pledge his love and commitment to Y/n in front of their family and friends.
As he stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his tie one last time, Jake couldn't help but reflect on the journey that had brought him to this moment. He thought about the ups and downs they had faced together, the laughter and tears they had shared, and the unbreakable bond that had formed between them.
Bob and Bradley, sensing Jake's moment of introspection, offered words of encouragement and support. They reminded him of the love that he and Y/n shared, and the strength of their relationship.
With a deep breath, Jake took one final look in the mirror, his heart filled with love and anticipation. Today was the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, and he couldn't wait to see what the future held for him and Y/n.
As he made his way to the ceremony, surrounded by his closest friends and family, Jake felt a sense of peace wash over him. He knew that no matter what challenges they may face, he and Y/n would always have each other, and that was all that truly mattered.
In the room filled with excitement and anticipation, Y/n stood surrounded by her nieces, Dj, Stephanie, and Michelle, who watched in awe as she slipped into her wedding dress. The gown, a vision of elegance and grace, shimmered in the soft light, accentuating Y/n's radiant smile as she twirled in front of the mirror.
Dj and Stephanie, their eyes wide with excitement, giggled and whispered among themselves, while Michelle bounced up and down with uncontainable joy. They couldn't wait to see their aunt marry Jake, their beloved uncle, and officially become a part of their family.
Irene, Jake's mom, stood by Y/n's side, her eyes shining with pride and affection. With gentle hands, she helped adjust Y/n's veil and smoothed out the delicate lace of her dress, her presence a comforting reminder of the love and support that surrounded Y/n on this special day.
As Y/n looked around the room at the faces of her loved ones, she felt her heart swell with gratitude. She was about to marry the man of her dreams, surrounded by the people she cherished most in the world. It was a moment she had dreamed of her entire life, and now it was finally here.
With a deep breath, Y/n took one last look in the mirror, her heart filled with love and excitement for the future that awaited her. She was ready to walk down the aisle and begin this new chapter of her life with Jake by her side, surrounded by the love of her family and the promise of a lifetime of happiness ahead.
The room buzzed with laughter and chatter as Irene continued to fuss over the final details of Y/n's ensemble. The air was filled with a mix of excitement, nervous anticipation, and the sweet scent of flowers that adorned the room.
Dj and Stephanie, still enthralled by the magical atmosphere, couldn't resist asking a barrage of questions. "Aunt Y/n, do you feel like a princess?" Dj inquired with wide-eyed curiosity.
Y/n chuckled, her eyes reflecting the joy in her heart. "I feel like the luckiest woman in the world," she replied, exchanging a warm glance with Irene, who shared in the sentiment.
Michelle, not to be left out, tugged at the hem of Y/n's dress. "Aunt Y/n, when do I get to wear a pretty dress like yours?" she asked with a beaming smile.
Y/n scooped Michelle into her arms, planting a gentle kiss on her cheek. "One day, sweetheart, when you find someone special to share your life with," she answered, earning an approving nod from Irene.
As the final touches were made, the room echoed with the sound of joyous laughter and heartfelt moments. Y/n felt a profound sense of belonging and happiness, knowing that she was surrounded by the love of her family as she prepared to embark on this beautiful journey with Jake.
With a final glance in the mirror, Y/n couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for the remarkable day unfolding before her. She was ready to walk down the aisle, not just as Jake's bride, but as a cherished aunt to Dj, Stephanie, and Michelle. The room exuded an air of love and excitement, a perfect prelude to the celebration of two families coming together as one.
As the time drew closer for the ceremony to begin, Y/n took a moment to soak in the precious memories being created in that room. She felt a deep sense of gratitude for Irene's presence, her gentle guidance a comforting reminder of the love that awaited her in her new family.
With a soft smile, Y/n reached out to hold Dj and Stephanie's hands, her heart overflowing with love for her nieces. "Thank you for being here with me today," she said, her voice filled with emotion. "You three mean the world to me, and I'm so grateful to have you by my side."
Dj and Stephanie exchanged a glance, their eyes shining with affection for their aunt. "We wouldn't miss it for the world, Aunt Y/n," Dj replied, squeezing her hand tightly.
Stephanie nodded in agreement, a warm smile gracing her lips. "We love you, Aunt Y/n," she said softly, her voice filled with genuine warmth.
Y/n felt tears welling up in her eyes as she embraced her nieces, their bond stronger than ever in that moment. With a deep breath, she turned to Irene, her heart brimming with love and gratitude. "Thank you for everything, Irene," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm so blessed to have you as my future mother-in-law."
Irene smiled warmly, her eyes shimmering with tears of joy. "You're already a part of our family, Y/n," she said, her voice filled with love. "Today is just the beginning of a beautiful journey together."
With a final embrace, Y/n felt a sense of peace wash over her. Surrounded by the love of her family, she was ready to take the next step forward, hand in hand with Jake, towards a future filled with endless love and happiness.
As Y/n walked down the aisle on Bradley's arm, her heart beat with a mixture of excitement and nervous anticipation. She couldn't help but steal glances at Jake, waiting for her at the end of the aisle, his eyes filled with love and adoration.
With each step forward, Y/n felt the weight of the momentous occasion, the significance of this day not lost on her. She was about to pledge her love and commitment to Jake in front of their family and friends, surrounded by the beauty of their shared love.
As they reached the end of the aisle, Bradley gave Y/n's hand a reassuring squeeze before placing it in Jake's. Y/n looked up into Jake's eyes, her heart overflowing with love and happiness. In that moment, surrounded by their loved ones, she knew that she was exactly where she was meant to be.
With a smile that lit up his face, Jake took Y/n's hand in his, his touch sending a wave of warmth through her. Together, they stood before their loved ones, ready to embark on this incredible journey together.
As Jake linked arms with Y/n to help her up a step of the altar, he couldn't resist whispering in her ear. "You look drop-dead gorgeous," he murmured, his voice filled with love and admiration.
Y/n felt her cheeks flush with warmth at Jake's words, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. She turned to look at him, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "Thank you," she whispered back, her heart fluttering at the intensity of his gaze.
In that moment, surrounded by the love of their family and friends, Y/n felt like the luckiest woman in the world. With Jake by her side, she knew that she was truly living her fairytale. And as they exchanged vows and sealed their love with a kiss, Y/n knew that their journey together was just beginning, filled with endless love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Standing at the altar, Y/n took a deep breath before starting her vows. Her eyes met Jake's, and a soft smile played on her lips as she began to speak.
"When I first met you, Jake, I never imagined that I would one day move into a house to help a man raise his daughters. I never expected to fall in love with his brother-in-law," she said, her voice filled with warmth and sincerity.
The guests smiled, appreciating the honesty and uniqueness of Y/n's words. She continued, "But life has a funny way of surprising us, and I am so grateful for every unexpected turn that brought me to this moment. From the laughter shared with Dj, Stephanie, and Michelle to the joy found in our love, every step of this journey has been more beautiful than I could have ever imagined."
Y/n turned her gaze to Jake, her eyes reflecting the depth of her emotions. "You've given me a family, a home, and a love that is beyond my wildest dreams. Today, I stand here promising to cherish and support you, to be there through every twist and turn, just as you have been for me."
As she spoke from the heart, Y/n felt the overwhelming love in the air, surrounded by the people who had become her family. The promises she made were not just vows; they were a celebration of the extraordinary journey that had brought them all together.
As Y/n finished her vows, there was a hushed anticipation in the air before Jake's turn to speak. Instead of traditional vows, Jake surprised everyone by asking for a guitar.
With a smile, someone passed him a guitar, and Jake strummed a few chords before he began to sing. His voice was soulful and heartfelt as he sang his own lyrics, a tribute to his love for Y/n:
🎵 "From the moment I met you, my world was changed, You filled my days with sunshine, chased away the rain. I never knew love like this before, You're the one I've been searching for.
With every laugh and every tear we've shared, I know that our love will always be there. Through the ups and downs, we'll stand side by side, Forever and always, you'll be my guiding light.
You're the melody to my song, The harmony that keeps me strong. With you by my side, I feel complete, Together, our love is oh so sweet.
So here I stand, with all my heart, Promising to love you, never to part. With this ring, I give my all to you, Forever and always, I'll be true." 🎵
As the final chords faded away, there wasn't a dry eye in the room. Y/n looked at Jake, her heart overflowing with love and gratitude. In that moment, she knew that their love was truly meant to be, a beautiful melody that would last a lifetime.
With the last notes of Jake's heartfelt song fading away, he stepped back up to the altar, his eyes locked with Y/n's. The room was filled with a palpable warmth, and the guests couldn't help but be moved by the sincerity and love that enveloped the couple.
As Jake reached for Y/n's hand, a shared smile passed between them. The time had come for them to exchange the long-awaited "I dos." Their vows, whether spoken or sung, had woven a beautiful tapestry of their love story, and now, in the presence of their family and friends, they were ready to take the next step in their journey.
"I do," Jake said, his voice steady and filled with conviction.
Y/n, her eyes shimmering with happy tears, echoed the sentiment, "I do."
The officiant smiled, pronouncing them as officially married. The room erupted in applause and cheers as Jake leaned in to seal their vows with a tender kiss. The joyous celebration of love continued, marking the beginning of a new chapter for Jake and Y/n.
4 FAB totally unrelated questions:
Can you make your favorite Beatle and solo song list ?
I really enjoy reading your Mclennon fic, are you planning to write more ( I hope so)
What is your favorite McLennon theory, thing they did or photograph?
I also really enjoyed your Get back / understanding Lennon-McCartney series, can you make more? Your captions and details are so good.
me when I read this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I abhor favorites, so here's some lists as of RIGHT NOW in this current moment. It will be very different in about three seconds. My toddler's is much easier. I Have to sing Maxwell to him before he goes to bed or he will cry.
Top 5 Solo(upbeat): 5. Crackerbox Palace 4. Just Like Starting Over 3. Getting Closer 2. Old Siam Sir 1. Monkberry Moon Delight
Top 5 Beatles(upbeat): 5. Baby You're a Rich Man 4. I Wanna Hold Your Hand 3. Rocky Raccoon 2. I've Just Seen a Face 1. Dont Let Me Down
Top 5 Solo (downbeat): 5. Vanity Fair 4. I Don't Know 3.Jealous Guy 2. Isn't it a Pity 1. Junk
Top 5 Beatles (downbeat): 5. Strawberry Fields Forever 4. Blackbird 3. You Never Give Me Your Money 2. Eleanor Rigby 1. While My Guitar Gently Weeps
2. Thank you so so much and yes! I post new chapters of my series every Monday. Right now they're in Hamburg and things are Very Messy. I do want to write more after this fic wraps, but I've got other things I want to do first, see question 4.
3. As far as my own actual mclennon theory I swing to both sides of the spectrum (they fucked on the regular the whole time just without any secret committed romantic relationship ---- they literally never did anything it was all just mutual pining and maybe Paul didn't even understand what he was feeling until it was too late) depending on what evidence I've read or watched recently. My favorite thing to think about right now is all the secretiveness of the seventies. Like why do we have so many conflicting accounts of when they last saw each other and the same thing about the amount of time they spent together during the lost weekend?
4. Thank you for saying that, you're too kind! Yeah I do want to do more of those. I want to do the fifth parts of ULM and I have thought about doing Two of Us and other Beatles movies, but here's my list of to-dos. 1. Finish my current fic 2. Answer two big deal asks that are sitting in my drafts 3. Write my claimed prompt for the summer of love 4. Do more reactions
I super appreciate this ask anon it was so much fun! As always I'd love to hear your thoughts too if you feel like sending them in asks or messages or whatever:)
