Hello!!
I'm a bit new to the asking game, but I have a headcanon request! What if the Stardust Crusaders met the daughter of DIO, who had a bright and extremely sweet personality with a stand who has techomagic abilities (able to create advance technology, extended knowledge in technology). I apologize if this doesn't make sense! This would be platonic btw!
— 🧠 Anon!
I think I have a grasp of what to write for this ask finally. Darling is still a child of DIO it’s just that makes my title even wordier than it already is. Decided to do one character per bullet point btw
Platonic! Yandere! Stardust Crusaders w/ a technomagic stand darling.
You’re likely a huge help on the technological/engineering side of things for the crusaders. If you met them right at the start of trying to find DIO. Your first observation is probably akin of “Mr. Joestar you know you probably don’t need to break that expensive camera to use your stand right?”. Before long you have it repaired and ready to go, Joseph is wildly impressed and is quickly endeared to you. There is at least also one instance of him asking about fiddling around with a vending machine (for science of course), to maybe get something a little extra.
Avdol can see the trouble coming with you and Mr. Joestar a mile a way. Your eagerness towards technology is commendable and a little worrying if you get too caught up. Which is pretty often, and Joseph tends to be an enabler when it comes to anything he finds cool. He personally loves it himself but does his best to be your guide. He’s the one to most likely sit next to you in whatever transportation you’re in, it’s almost stifling but you barely notice most likely as you keep yourself entertained. There is quite a few times he does let you “loose” to do your thing, just because he enjoys your company so much.
Kakyoin is a bit more reserved in his reactions, the biggest thing that lures him to you is how well you utilize your stand in much of the technology you all run into. If you happen to bring up games out of boredom, his interest is piqued as you likely explain how you fixed a perfectly good console that was thrown in the trash. You tell him some people just don’t understand there’s things worth saving and there’s usually a fix that perfectly restores it. His feelings deepen when you tell him you believe him with the Death 13 fight. His hands are almost shaking, (In this scenario he is very likely to become a romantic yandere pretty quickly)
Polnareff bounces off your personality pretty easily, likes asking you a ton of questions and you manage to answer just about every one of them. He’d just wish you would relax a little bit and enjoy the smallest bit of relaxation (as you can when getting constantly chased by enemy stand users). So he usually nudges you with some kind of treat or even just doing something casually where it doesn’t seem that your brain is running on full power constantly. There’s a dozen times he’s even carrying you up the stairs, you deserve it. You saved his skin so he certainly has to return the favor. (This Frenchman would also be likely to end up a romantic yandere)
Jotaro is one who comes in when things go a little too far, especially if gramps or Polnareff are going what he considers over board, so if he wants to be around you he will find a way to do so. Not that he doesn’t occasionally indulge your tinkering with a little thunk to something with either his strength or Star Platinum’s. He definitely tells you to go to bed when you’re up too late for his liking while on the trip. Don’t ask why or how he got in your room, or even ponder if he was outside of your door guarding you. He can handle himself even if he is a bit hypocritical with some advice. Speaking of he is quick to tell you to lower your use of your stand, keeping it hidden so no potential danger catches everyone off guard. Especially when you’ve helped him out with Wheel of Fortune and Strength. He does let some of his eccentricities out with you and the others when it feels reasonable. But he’s still keeping one eye open at all times when he can.
If anyone’s wondering if there’s any worry about you being the daughter of DIO, I’d like to think Avdol was the one to keep an eye on you for trustworthiness before anything happened. (Even if none of them knew you were his daughter).

jotaro kujo is a big softie that loves his friends so incredibly much and he needs to ensure their safety to be calm and also he’s a giantass fucking loser dork OR:
what the oingo boingo arc tells us about jotaro despite him barely being in it
first things first, jotaro being in the back with avdol and kakyoin when they’re wounded
Tumblr media
what does this mean? it means jotaro could only soothe his nerves while on the drive to the hospital by being the one to tend to avdol and kakyoin
i come to this conclusion because it certainly wasn’t cause of space issues: polnareff is shorter than jotaro and also weighs less, so it probably wouldve been less cramped if he was the one to go into the back. but he’s not. you might then argue that no one else would’ve been able to drive, but then i argue that joseph could’ve driven and jotaro couldve been in the passenger seat. but again, that’s not the case. jotaro is only able to handle the wait by being the one right beside kakyoin and avdol while theyre wounded
to expand upon this, jotaro is the one who left for avdol and kakyoin way before joseph or polnareff. all this leads to the conclusion jotaro was really worried and the only way he could soothe those worries was by being by their sides and seeing for himself how things were going
now for the meat
Tumblr media
polnareff wasn’t afraid of touching “jotaro” or manhandling him. this is strange... we’ve seen jotaro when he’s annoyed and pissed off about how people treat him; he literally kept an actual list of all of steely dan’s transgressions so he could properly get payback. he knows his strength and he knows how to use it so people leave him alone
but polnareff is unflinching in his action here. he doesn’t think twice about treating jotaro like a little kid who needs help getting into the car. what can we conclude about this?
one might argue that polnareff is willing to risk it this once because he’s worried about avdol and kakyoin and doesn’t want to wait around, especially because he’d be safe from a beating because of the constraints of the car. however, to counter this, let’s again remember jotaro’s strength; it would be very easy for him to push back and never be forced into the car at all before punching the daylights out of polnareff, especially because as discussed earlier, polnareff is smaller than jotaro. polnareff is impulsive but he’s not stupid, he knows they don’t have time for a brawl
which means, jotaro would’ve allowed this. jotaro is fine with being touched by his loved ones and even thrown around by them because if there is one thing jotaro can speak fluently when it comes to communication, it’s physical action. we also see this in how he lets joseph shove him against the wall when holly first falls ill and how when he was with yellow temperance kakyoin, he didn’t mind that “kakyoin” shoved him a bit (until that shoving had him almost fall to his death). whos to say he Likes it, but he clearly doesn’t Mind it so long as its coming from a friend. he trusts they wont take more what he’s willing to give in regards to his personal space
next, iggy is willing to sit next to “jotaro” and is even comfortable enough to sleep next to him
Tumblr media
this is presumably because he earned iggy’s respect in the n’doul fight and handled iggy’s bullshit with the gum with relative grace -- showing that he’s not gonna hurt iggy over it, at least
i just wanted to point this out to show that iggy and jotaro were friends too. ive said this before but this implication makes me think jotaro, alongside avdol, was one of the only ppl allowed to pet iggy
now the implications of the famous cigarette trick
Tumblr media
jotaro is not a showoff kinda guy. he doesn’t like bringing attention to himself, especially not “ohh wow that’s so cool!!” attention like a cigarette trick would give him. at least, not from relative strangers, like the girls at his school -- but if its from his friends, clearly his tune changes a bit...
i come to this conclusion because sure, it’d be one thing if jotaro only did this trick with the single cigarette polnareff has; he mightve done it to earn some respect and otherwise “cool” points from the crusaders so he can be alone in peace (they would be intimidated to bother such a cool guy)
but jotaro does this trick with FIVE cigarettes
Tumblr media
he literally has no reason to do that other than to wow the crusaders at this point. this goes beyond just garnering some respect; this would be jotaro going out of his way, wasting cigarettes as he does so, to make people Look at him. like you see why this is fairly abnormal right?
so how else would one explain this behavior? well, it’s obvious to me: jotaro enjoys making his friends smile. he doesn’t mind it when it’s THEIR attention on him, because he trusts the intentions of it. it’s not burning or prickling or unknown like a stranger’s attention might be to him; it’s comforting, it lets him know he’s seen, it lets him know they care. i dont think jotaro would like ever THRIVE under attention per se, but he would really like it nonetheless coming from his friends, which is what this proves to me. he wants them to look at him and smile and root for him and revel in his accomplishments with him, an experience he doesn’t award just anyone
also it goes to show that jotaro is willing to put down the cool guy front near the crusaders cause honestly, doing this fuckin thing with five cigarettes is, while impressive, not necessarily a badass guy thing? you only learn to do this if you have a bad smoking habit and are bored out of your mind -- not particularly cool, but funny and relatable. which i think is the thing...jotaro WANTS the crusaders to relate to him. im goign nuts. basically jsut like...he loves them. he loves the connection they all have to him and it opens facets of himself he never thought would see the light of day. it lets him relax and just...be himself (which is a weirdo funny kid btw) for a bit. he doesnt need to be constantly cool or whatever to be comfortable in front of them
next, the way joseph and polnareff respond to “jotaro” clearly not being okay
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
what this response tells me is a couple of things:
1. jotaro has come undone or nearly come undone in front of them before. the way joseph and polnareff glance at each other before immediately launching into theatrics, jumping from one scenario to another so theres no time to think, tells me that they know what jotaro would appreciate in this situation -- and that’s a distraction from whatever his thoughts are with something so ridiculous the absurdity alone will shock jotaro out of it for now. they also know not to question him; making jotaro think about it even more will just lead to disaster. they only take what jotaro can give them and dont ask for more
2. the way they know jotaro wouldve appreciated a distraction means to me theyve talked to him about this before, presumably during the previous times he came undone. jotaro would rather die than truly talk about his problems so he probably told them “just- just distract me. i can’t stop thinking” (cause jotaro probably has anxiety disorder but well anyway). polnareff and joseph listened to that and they adhere to it here which we can see with the thumb and orange things. this is further supported by the time kakyoin changes subjects when it comes to light avdol and iggy died. cant overthink if you dont have the time to, right?
anyway this got long. basically, jotaro loves his friends and they love him too

07. judgement┊ ┊⋆ beyond the stars
tw // mention of guns
The map image is inaccurate, I just picked a spot in the Red Sea lol oops
After traversing the rest of the desert, we boarded a small motorboat to cross the red sea. Following some hours of sailing and casual chatter, you redirected your focus to Dio as you reached out to him. Every time you opened your chat with him, it was hard, especially rereading the message about your captive mother. Despite growing close to the Crusaders, you remained determined to keep her safe, persisting with your mission.
Tumblr media
After sending your text, Jotaro's comment drew your attention back to the group. "Hey old man, something's wrong. You're going in the wrong direction, aren't we supposed to go West towards Egypt?" Mr. Joestar seemed focused, not responding. "Old Man! You're headed for that island!" Jotaro raised his voice.
"Ah, that's right, I can't tell you why, but there's someone I want to meet before we head to Egypt. This man is very important to our journey."
After docking and disembarking, you wandered, taking in the surroundings. Seagulls called in the distance, and palm trees swayed. It seemed peaceful, almost too peaceful for the Crusaders. Knowing Judgement would arrive in the next few days, you felt a nervous tension. "Is it true people live here? It's so small and looks deserted." Kakyoin said, sharing a side glance with you. You seemed nervous, but not for the reasons the Crusaders thought. "Hey, Hey... someone's watching us from the grass," Jotaro stated, calling attention to a pair of eyes peaking through. The figure stood up and darted away. "That figure looks familiar!" Kakyoin added as the mysterious man ran away. You didn't recognize his face; this was not Judgement's user. Curious, you all followed. Hens clucked in the distance. As you approached a small house with a fenced-in yard, you saw the man with powdered white hair feeding five chickens.
"It can't be!" Polnareff cried. "That hairstyle, could it be?" Kakyoin replied. Even Jotaro had a look of surprise.
"I'll go talk to him; you wait here," Mr. Joestar commanded, holding the rest of you back. "My name is Joseph Joestar. I'm traveling to Egypt with these three- er uh- four people," he introduced himself. You remained confused.
"I won't listen, go away!" The mysterious man bellowed, not even bothering to face you all. "Do not talk to me. Whenever people visit me, they never bring me good news! It's always bad!" The man spun around and revealed his face. "I do not want to listen! Go away!" He commanded.
Polnareff's look of shock quickly became mixed with guilt and grief.
"Avdol..." Jotaro mumbled to himself.
Mr. Joestar explained the man who bears a spitting resemblance to their dearly departed friend. Remorse decorated Polnareff's face.
"Avdol's death wasn't your fault."
"No. It's my responsibility; I have to carry that burden."
Polnareff fled to be alone as Kakyoin and Mr. Joestar continued their discussion.
"Hey Jotaro, what exactly happened, what's going on?" You asked in a hushed tone. You half understood from Hol's perspective, which was very much biased, but you wanted the full story. He explained how the Emperor and the Hanged Man disrupted their journey and caused the loss of their dear friend. You really felt for Polnareff, having begun to grow close to him, or as much as you could have over the week and a half you've spent with the Crusaders. You knew guilt for a few fleeting moments and you knew that he would do anything to get Avdol back, just as you had done everything you could by giving your life to Dio for your mother. Mr. Joestar entered the abode Avdol's father fled to, and Kakyoin rejoined you and Jotaro. "Do you think Polnareff will be okay?" You asked, feeling genuine care and concern for the man. Not only was he dealing with emotional turmoil, but also Judgement was on the loose, and thanks to you, Dio knows right where to send him. "I think he'll be alright" Kakyoin reassured you, putting a hand on your shoulder in an attempt to offer some kind of comfort. Jotaro nodded in agreement, then followed the path his grandfather took. "I want to go check on Polnareff." You said to Kakyoin. He grinned to himself at your kind gesture. "Go ahead, come meet us back here alone, though."
"Um, alright." You said, weary of why they wouldn't want Polnareff with them. You approached the shore of the beach to where Polnareff sat pondering. "Hey, are you doing alright?" You asked, taking a seat on the adjacent rock. "Even if it was to avenge my sister's death, I still let Avdol die." He moped.
"You didn't mean for it to happen. It really isn't your fault." You reassured. "But I do get where you're coming from." Polnareff looks at you with curiosity. You explained your story to him, dancing around the middle of your full story in your head.
"I'm glad at least someone understands vaguely." Polnareff tells you the story of his sister, and the battle with J. Geil. You sigh to yourself (I can't believe I'm doing this) and wrap Polnareff in a hug. He embraces it almost immediately. "It's going to be fine...I think." You joke and half smile.
As the sun set during your chat, golden hour had reached you both. "Hey, what's that?" Polnareff points out a glimmering object in the sand. You both walk over to it, and he picks it up. "It looks like gold, I wonder if it drifted from a sunken ship."
"Can you dust the barnacles off it?" Polnareff begins to rub and scrape at the lamp. It glows and he tosses it, a stand emerging, causing a shriek in surprise from the frenchman.
This must be Judgement.
"You get three, tell me three things you desire and I'll make them come true!" He bellowed. Polnareff began to question Cameo, which is what he called himself. "You fake! Are you saying you can make me a very rich man right now?" Polnareff questioned. You decided to have fun in the moment, just to test the waters. "Oh, bring back Lil' Bush!"
"Ugh I miss that show."
"You- you mean the show with the little kid who is George Bush? He's not president anymore. How would that even work?"
"Don't care, want another season." Polnareff laughed along with you at the joke. "Polnareff has summoned me so I will grant his wish." Judgement said, slightly annoyed with you, giving you a look of ‘I’m telling Lord Dio on you.’ "Hail 2 U!" He bellowed and retreated to the lamp.
"That was weird, why didn't he attack us?" You questioned.
"We should watch ourselves. Something is on this island, we should tell Mr. Joestar." You nod in agreement and begin to head back towards the others, only to discover a half buried treasure chest, overflowing with gold and precious jewels. Polnareff knelt down to investigate. "y/n, this is gold from the Napoleonic era, this isn't an illusion and it can't be a dream. This is real treasure!"
Cameo appeared once more, asking for a second wish. You darted off to go tell the other crusaders after Polnareff's quick nod approval. You entered the house where Avdol's father and the crusaders resided. Rushing through the door, you interrupted chatter and laughter amongst the four of the men. "Mr. Joestar! There's a stand with Polnareff and-" A younger Avdol's father stood amongst the group. "(y/n), there's someone I'd like for you to meet. This isn't Avdol's father. This is the Muhammed Avdol. Avdol, this is (y/n), the newest member of our group." Your world was flipped for a moment. I have to text Hol and Mariah about this. You stood there, silent for a second, gears churning. You quickly responded with a bow, "It's an honor to meet you sir, I've heard plenty of great things about you."
"And I've heard plenty of you." Avdol replied to you. You honestly grew nervous, remembering you made a reference about him being dead to join the group. Would they kick you with the Magician back? "All good things I hope?" Avdol glanced around the circle and stayed on Kakyoin for a moment, then replied firmly "Good things. Now, what's this about a stand and Polnareff on this island?"
"Oh, I almost completely forgot. There's this stand Cameo, which is the Judgement card's representative and it apparently can grant wishes. Polnareff sent me to get you guys and let you know, we should hurry back to him." You felt a sence of urgency to return to Polnareff, not only upon intuition, but out of anxiety for someone you hope you can call a true friend, especially after your trauma-dump/bonding moment earlier. You all rushed back to where Polnareff found the treasure earlier. "They were here before I came to you, they must've moved. Lets split up to look for him." You grew nervous, not knowing anything about the stand, beside it being a borderline genie.
Each crusader went in different directions, on the hunt for Polnareff. You darted to a tall grassy area closer to the center of the island, an open plane lit only by the moon. Armed with only the gun you had made with the light a week prior, you creeped around prepared to shoot. The grass rustled and your heart rate increased. You didn't have the crusaders to watch your back. Yes, you had a gun, but you didn't know where the user was, nor the extent of Cameo's power. As your heart rate rose, you felt a chill as the rustling got louder. You headed towards a wooded area, which the tall grass bordered, wanting to get away from the rustling and also a place to hide if needed. Perhaps you could climb a tree to see above the field. As you reached the edge of the plain, you called "Polnareff?" praying for his answer.
Something took a step behind you, crushing the leaves behind you. Driven by anxiety and adrenaline, you instantly spun around and cocked the pistol. Instead of Polnareff or Cameo behind you, you found Kakyoin, who had been searching there prior.
"Woah, woah, it's just me," Kakyoin said, his hands raised in surrender. You let out a relieved sigh, lowering your weapon. "Thank god. Any luck so far?"
"Nothing yet. I was thinking of following Avdol's trail, which Jotaro is doing now, but I wanted to find you first and make sure you were fine."
"Oh, uh, thank you." You replied awkwardly. "But I've got the protection I need." You twirled the pistol around your finger, attempting to look cool. Forgetting it was cocked, the pistol ended up firing into the ground, the shot echoing, and birds from above flew up and out. "Uh huh." Kakyoin raised one eyebrow at you. "Anyways, let's catch up with the others." You blurted out, feeling a bit embarrassed.
As you both strolled under the full moon, a rare, comfortable silence enveloped you. After realizing how long you had been surveying the seemingly endless field of tall grass, you called attention to it. "Uh, Kakyoin?"
"Yes, (y/n)?"
"Do you know where the others actually are?"
"Why do you ask?"
"Because we've been taking an awful long time to reach the opposite end of this field."
"Is that so bad?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, maybe I thought we could spend a little more time together." Kakyoin turned to look at you, his eyes shining that brilliant violet he only got when sharing a moment with you. You got goosebumps, and a light pink shade dusted your cheeks at the statement. Returning to your senses, you ask "Is this really the best time?" You raised a good question for yourself with this, surpassing the current circumstance. Was it a good time to be pursuing romance at all? Also Polnareff is literally missing right now I need to focus.
"Avdol located Polnareff, and he wanted to be the one to go find and be with Polnareff; I'm giving him his space to do so."
"Um, alright." The comfortable silence was now tense, calling attention to Kakyoin's interest in getting to spend time with you. The tension eased as you grew used to each other’s presence and soft breaths. "The moon is beautiful this evening, isn't it?" He mentioned, attempting to ease the tension. He glanced upwards, then to you.
"Yes, I suppose it is." You smiled. He stopped for a moment to just gaze up at the moon. Once you adjusted your gaze to stare at the lunar beauty, he found his eyes wandering back to you. Kakyoin's heart was pounding, nervous about what to do next. Despite being unsure of himself, he took your hand softly, bringing your attention back to him. "Let's continue," he said softly. You adjusted your grip to meet his own, feeling the warmth of the moment between you two.
Is this allowed?
Your hand in his felt comforting to you both, but pumped you with adrenaline as he began to trace circles on the back of your hand, a silent gesture that spoke volumes. You began to ask about Avdol's situation, as well as for what purpose they needed to keep him being alive a secret from Polnareff as a way to keep cool (and keep the blush from rising to your face). The conversation evolved from Avdol to yourselves. You shared your former passions and he talked about his love of art. As you exchanged personal tales, shared passions and vulnerability intertwined, smiles decorating both of your faces as you shared your life stories with another.
Is this okay? You thought as the conversation eased, unsure if growing so close with the so-called enemy was something you could do. His subtle smiles exchanged and the lingering touch spoke a language of their own to you.
As you continued to ramble back and forth with each other, the orange glow of a fire suddenly burst towards the other end of the grassy field, that seemed to stretch to the end of the island. As it commanded both of your attention instantly, Kakyoin’s relaxed smile fell to a tense face of concern. As the mood shifted, you both ran towards the flame. You hear a cry from Cameo. “Impossible! You should be dead!” As you approached the two, Mr. Joestar suddenly appeared at your side gripping your shoulder, bringing you to a grinding halt. Noticing that you weren’t beside him anymore, Kakyoin turned back to you both.
“Let Avdol handle it, okay?” His voice, gruff yet soft, guided the three of you to observe from a safe distance as Cameo, Polnareff, and Avdol grappled with the mysterious situation. A burst of flames enveloped Cameo, toasting him. A small grin plastered Mr. Joestar's face, knowing his friend was back. "Let's head back to the shore and get ready to go, now that we have Avdol," Mr. Joestar suggested as Polnareff and Avdol shared what can be described as a uh, bonding moment.
Jotaro waited on the shore for all of you and you all stood around for a few moments quietly. At the shore, a quiet moment ensued, interrupted by Polnareff's jubilant emergence from the grass, wearing the biggest smile you had ever seen. "Guess who I just ran into!" he exclaimed, initiating an enthusiastic musical performance, "Da, DaDaDa, Da, Da, Da, Daaaaa!" to unveil Avdol.
“Well then, let’s go.” Mr. Joestar said nonchalantly. The rest of the group began to catch up with Avdol as they were before. Polnareff began to yell at the rest of you in shock about how Avdol came back from the dead. Mr. Joestar then explained that he lied about Avdol being alive. “It was all just an act?!” Polnareff lamented.
Amidst the unfolding events, you found yourself once again lost in contemplation. Although your mission tied you to Dio, the camaraderie and unexpected adventures and the secret third thing with Kakyoin with the group stirred a sense of conflicting loyalty. I know I'm here to report for Dio, but there's nothing wrong with having a little fun in the process, I suppose, you mused internally. Rationalizing that Dio's fading foresight focused solely on an intuitive connection with the Joestars, you reassured yourself, "I'm not disobeying, technically. Which hopefully also means Mom's safety."
Interrupting your thoughts, Kakyoin turned back to you, signaling to rejoin the group as they approached the shoreline. "It's almost here! Come on and let’s go!" Mr. Joestar called out. Both you and Polnareff stood dumbfounded as a submarine emerged. "A submarine?! You actually bought this?!" Polnareff exclaimed, echoing the incredulity shared by the group.
“Seriously. Where are you guys getting this stuff?”
You all boarded. Now safe within an unbreachable submarine, you began to cruise northwest towards Egypt.

I hope someone gets the “JoJo's abridged" reference tee hee. I finally got this out before the end of January! I hope you're enjoying so far. My mom's health is significantly better, and I'm adjusting to my new uni schedule so I hopefully should be able to be updating more. I also have intentions to go back ands edit some of the first chapters. As always, constructive criticism is always appreciated. Also, are y'all liking slightly silly Dio? I'm still trying to figure out how to write him. Taglist is open <;3

Ok in that case i Just have my request say this how would the jojo crusaders react with having a fem reader that a nurse and she has a healing stand and she doesn’t like it when they get hurt.
Having a Nurse S/O
Fandom: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Characters: Muhammed Avdol, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, Noriaki Kakyoin, Jean Pierre Polnareff
Type of Request: Headcanons
Notes: Here you go!
Tumblr media
Avdol
Appreciates you so much. He gets hurt often with all the traveling so it's nice to have someone to take care of him.
Apologizes to you as well. Like genuinely apologizes because he feels bad making you use your stand just to heal something that's his fault.
Does his best to keep you safe too. You always heal him so he's going to do his best to keep you healthy too.
Which ends up getting him hurt a bit more, but he’s okay with it since you’re safe.
Joseph
Depending on his mood is how he'd react to you wanting to heal him with your stand.
Sometimes he grumbles a bit but let's you heal him, complaining and being over dramatic as you do.
Sometimes he gets a splinter or a tiny cut and is over dramatic about it hurting a lot and needing your healing.
And sometimes he'll mention having an invisible injury that can only be healed if you kiss him rather than use your stand.
Jotaro
Grumbles the whole time you're trying to heal him.
He's got things to do, places to be. He doesn't need you healing every little scratch.
Absolutely thinks bleeding to death is "just a flesh wound" and says "I'll be fine."
He is glad to have you care about him so much and he does appreciate it (not that his teenage angst would let him admit it).
Kakyoin
Also one to apologize when he does get hurt and you heal him. He promises to try to be more careful in the future, but it's difficult if he doesn't know what the enemy stand does.
Would attempt to heal you wounds. His stand can't do it, but he can at least help wrap you or use some ointment he knows helps. Just let him return the favor.
You do get lots of thanks and he tries to give you compliments or something in return for patching him up all the time.
He just likes to thank you in different ways.
Polnareff
Does try to hide when he's hurt from you because he doesn't want you having to heal him all the time.
He also doesn't want to worry you with his injuries because he doesn't like you seeing him hurt.
If it is a small wound then he'll happily enjoy the attention you give him as you heal him.
Makes comments about you having "magic hands" and other things along those lines even though it's your stand doing the actual healing.

Idea. Yandere Jolyne x male reader who's Kakyoin's son and are childhood friends and they also have a daughter together who is still a newborn. But he leaves Jolyne as he doesn't trust her with there daughter. But Jolyne finds them and says "Yare Yare Dawa. I don't want to leave her family like my old man did to me and my mom." And takes reader away. Also this is in 2017 5 years after part 6 ended and Kakyoin dies to Pucci so Pucci would die to Jotaro so Kakyoin's son is also still depressed about his dad's death which is why him and Jolyne hook up to try and make him happy but it doesn't work. Just wanted to clarify that. So seems like a lot to work with but I think you can something good out of this.
This is an interesting idea. I like it. Let's see how well I can do. First time writing a x male fic, i think.
Tell me if i missed any detail! (I hope I didn't lol)
happy (almost) 500 followers!
apologize it took so long.
Won't get away

Jotaro and Kakyoin, as well as their children, were fighting against the priest that tried to finish what Dio started.
It was a tough fight, the time speeding so fast was confusing. Weeks passed with every minute and they had no time to waste. If they didn't stop Pucci, Dio's dream would come true.
"Emerald Splash!" Kakyoin screamed, directing his Hierophant Green in attempt to distract Pucci, who was getting awfully close to Jolyne. It worked, the priest's attention now on him, creating the perfect bait for the start of their plan.
"Star Platinum! The World!" Jotaro yelled and time stopped. Nothing was moving anymore, but Jotaro knew he had only a few seconds to do something or the battle would be over. He had to move and do something, anything now.
7 seconds left.
Before he could reach Pucci and snap his neck, Jotaro noticed something horrifying.
Both Kakyoin and Jolyne were in danger.
Kakyoin was surrounded by hundreds of knives that would stab his insides the very second time would start again. Exactly the same position he was in 23 years ago, when he battled Dio.
5 seconds left.
And his daughter had Pucci right beside her, his fist an inch away from piercing her stomach.
For the first time in his life, Jotaro was terrified.
Life put him in the position of choosing whether to save his life-long bestfriend, taking the risk of ending the world or save his daughter and bring this hell to an end.
His heart was racing in his chest, beads of sweat dripping down his forehead.
4 seconds left.
His eyes darted to Kakyoin, all the memories of what they went through flashing in his mind.
They moved to his son, who was standing there frozen as everyone else. He would hate him forever.
3 seconds left.
You can't do good without sacrifices.
He learned that long ago, after losing two of his other friends.
With pain in his heart, Jotaro made his decision. He dashed to Pucci and pushed him away from Jolyne, his punches letting all his fury out.
"Time starts moving again." He whispered and everything resumed. The injured priest was thrown away at an insane speed, landing straight into a building with a fatal injury.
At the same time, Kakyoin was pierced by the knifes, falling helplessly onto the ground. As soon as Jolyne realised what happened, she called out her stand into an useless attempt of saving the red haired man.
However, it was too late.
Both Kakyoin and Pucci died, proof being the disappearance of their stands. Time moved at a normal speed again, minutes passing correctly, while the emeralds left by Noriaki vanished.
"Dad!" An awful scream made its way out of your lungs, tears flooding your eyes at the realization. You ran to your father's lifeless body, shaking him. "Please, dad, no! Don't leave me too!"
Jotaro felt his usually stoic heart crumble into pieces at the sound so he looked in other direction, far away to the ocean. His breathing was heavy, both because of the injuries and the guilt he felt.
There was nothing he could do anymore.
Ever since that day, you fell into a sever depression. You were constantly thinking about your father and why did the universe decide it should take him from you.
You couldn't blame Jotaro for choosing to save the world over saving your father. It was the right decision. But you also couldn't get over the fact that the only person you had left disappeared.
You looked like a mess every day and even if you had a job, you couldn't say your life was good. Your only social contact outside your work zone was Jolyne and you honestly couldn't say it was good.
Her emerald eyes were a constant reminder of your dad's stand, which made your heart break every time.
Jolyne was desperate. She had no clue what to do with you. Most considered you were a lost cause, but she didn't want to give up on you. She refused to. You two grew up togheter, she could not give you up.
It broke her heart. Seeing you like this made her want to cry out.
She tried talking you into therapy, but you refused to cooperate.
"Come on, it's been years, Y/N. You have to stop drinking your pain away, you are ruining yourself! Your dad would hate seeing you like this!" she said, shaking you. When you were not at work, you would drown yourself in alcohol, being your only escape.
"Stop."
"It's true! Mr. Noriaki would hate seeing how you destroy yourself every day, he-" she wanted to scold you again, but you suddenly yelled–
"Stop talking about him as if you know anything! It's only your fault anyway!"
Jolyne took a step back at your outburst. She knew you didn't mean it, but with the way your eyes held a deep hatred...Her heart ache.
"Yare yare dawa..." she shook her head, biting the inner part of her lip anxiously. You took drunk steps towards her, your much taller frame covering hers. "You have no idea what you're saying, let's get you to bed." the girl murmured, going to take your hand but you jerked away from her, almost falling before you were able to brace yourself.
"I'm t-tired of everyone acting like the-y kn...knew my father! I'm the only one th-at " you stumbled upon your words. "I'm just f-fine with how I live."
"Whatever you say." she took your arm successfully this time and dragged you to your room. You were trying to get away from her grip, but she refused to let go, throwing you onto the bed easily because of your drunk self.
The next day, you couldn't remember anything from that night. The only thing you remembered was that her lips met yours to shut you up and, from then...Blank. Everything was blank.
When you opened your eyes, you certainly didn't expect to see Jolyne laying next to you....naked. You looked around the room, the bright light burning your eyes. This was your room, there was no doubt. So why was Jolyne naked?
You knew she had a habit to sleep in her lingerie, but that didn't explain why you were also naked. It couldn't be that, could it?
However, the ache on your broad shoulders going all the way to your lower back, the way her neck was covered in small bite marks and hickeys, along with the ripped sheets beneath her, proved you wrong. That it could be.
You and your childhood best friend, Jolyne Cujoh, just had sex. And from the unseenable condom, it was unprotected.
No words were spoken between the two of you as Jolyne muttered a small 'Yare yare dawa' when she first got up. And she just left in silence, leaving you alone with your thoughts.
Even if it wasn't the right thing to do, you completely cut off every single way she could contact you. Blocking her number and all of her social medias, even her father's and her friends', you even went as far as changing the locks in your home, you ignored her existence as if she never existed in the first place. Not even knowing about the growing baby in her belly.
And, that didn't go unnoticed by the young female.
The woman wasn't patient as this trait didn't run in her family. She tried everything, even broke into your home, which almost made you get you a restraining order.
That, until you saw the loose skin on her belly, decorated with stretch marks. Which could indicate only one thing. A previous pregnancy.
"Where is the child, Jolyne?" you asked coldly as the woman glared at you with bright green eyes.
"She is in the car with Ermes. Now, you will come with me, get your life back together and raise that damn child!" she hissed at you with a stern and determinated look on her face.
"No. The child comes with me, I don't trust you with her. Not after what ha-" you were about to say but suddenly, a bright blue string wrapped around your mouth multiple times, shutting you up.
"Don't you dare finish that fucking sentence. Don't blame my father for your father's death." Jolyne spoke angrily with a twisted look in her eyes.
You whined in protest, summoning your stand to try and fight back but the string around your mouth only tightened. She was undeniably stronger than you so you retreated your stand immediately.
"Yare yare dawa..." she clicked her tongue annoyed. "I don't want her to have an incomplete family as I did. You won't leave like my old man did to me. Under no circumstances will I allow that." the crazy tone that lingered in her voice made you shiver as you never saw Jolyne so determined.
"You will be with me. End of the discussion. Willingly or not, you are mine."
And after that, everything went blank.

what do u think are the top 5 stand fights in jojo
this is very hard. at first i thought it was bc there were so many to choose from but when you narrow them down it's a pretty short list of bangers. the problem is the short list is extremely good. here is my best attempt at what ive read so far
READER BEWARE: SPOILERS ARE THERE
star platinum vs the world
Tumblr media
example: oh? you're approaching me?
like, obviously, you have to put this one up really high. its The Fight of All Time. it has everything:
a dramatic character death that is NOT in vein......rip to kakyoin the sickest little boy in all of egypt
the apparent death of beloved bastard joseph joestar, in which he gives the longest dying speech since hamlet that sounds like "jotaro! press the A button to punch dio really fast and reffill your meter!" only to be returned to full health at the end so he can do the single greatest prank of all time.
jotaro finally says something so cool it makes you want to stand up and scream for him in sheer rapturous joy
polnareff gets a good hit in.
dio becoming subject to the exact same torment that he inflicts upon others right before a death that definitively underscores that he is lesser than he knew himself to be is perfection. honestly an incredible end to one of the greatest villains of all time. it feels very, very earned and satisfying
killer queen: bite ze dusto vs. the entirety of the town of morioh
Tumblr media
example: yoshikage kira traumadumps about getting a boner to a stranger
i actually think this one is my absolute favorite of them all. the communal effort to take out yoshikage kira is a monumental undertaking; he is an absolute bastard with a seemingly endless string of luck. living members of the community who have good hearts, his victims who have been waiting for justice, strangers from far away dedicated to righting wrongs, and a completely powerless 10 year old powered entirely by the raw energy of a child's pure conscience band together to end a literal cycle of violence. how the fuck do you defeat a man who has already killed you and you don't even know it?? how do you stop someone who can turn back time?? it truly fucking seems like hes going to get away with it at the end. and then AGAIN you're like "oh no oh my god hes going to-" and then the single greatest villain death in the history of manga happens lol. ohhhhh its so fucking good.
its another battle thats made all the better by the sum of its parts. the entire yoshikage kira arc is near perfection. the set ups, pay offs, and who it chooses to celebrate as the heroes in the end creates a very satisfying cap to a great series.
osiris vs the stardust crusaders
Tumblr media
example: jotaro loses a hand, and increases his bet
i love the stand fights that barely end up being stand fights. star platinum throws i think a single punch in this fight and its to light jotaro's cigarette, a mere taste of the sheer, near impossible speed of star platinum. how fast IS star platinum anyway....would you.....bet your life on it...??!!!!
a friend online told me about the "jotaro has autism" fan theory, and i was like "hm. whatever" until this episode, when i fully 100% believe that jotaro not only has autism but has figured out how to hone and weaponize it against his enemies. all these morons have to do is win a game of chance against a professional gambler who also openly cheats. i love this shit. this is the part of the story where jotaro really, really starts to shine and his unique strengths as a little badass piece of shit start to come through. i think he really starts to solidify his personality here when he finally gets a win that isnt based on "punch something really fast".
oingo and boingo/hol horse and boingo vs themselves
Tumblr media
example: hol horse, noted woman respecter, does a flying jump kick on a random rich woman and she's so grateful she pays him in jewels
im counting these as one because i can and i want to. these episodes are fucking tops. easily top 5 eps of the entirety of stardust crusaders. i dont think anyone involved in the anti-dio squad had any idea oingo or boingo existed. bringing back that stupid asshole hol horse is literally always going to be appreciated as he's one of the best recurring villains even though his stand fucking sucks lmfao. boingo's too actually. his stand is he has a book but the book is an asshole. great goofy shit. what is fucking wrong with polnareff and joseph
da morioh boyz vs rohan kishibe
Tumblr media
example: rohan makes every comic artist in the world mad
speaking of "whats wrong with him", ive posted a lot about rohan so i'll spare you it again but it's all highlighted best in his first ep. the one where he eats a spider, tears a child's face off for artistic inspiration, and tells another he has a whack ass haircut.
~honorable mentions~
jotaro vs literally two rats: the man who defeated dio and all of his minions almost gets completely smoked by jerry the mouse of tom and jerry fame.
koichi hirose vs yoshikage kira: aka the sheer heart attack fight. clever solution, funny jotaro moments, explosions, koichi levels up, THREE FREEZE, etc
joseph joestar and avdol vs bastet: a rare comedy stand where the joke is good. mariah is a fun antagonist. its also a rare pair up that turned out to be a lot of fun. they play off each other well (badly)
yoshikage kira vs stray cat: foil ep to jotaro's rat episode. weird perspective, fun to see kira play the hero briefly.
team bucciarati vs pesci and prosciutto: aka fighting old lol. the twist on how araki keeps prosciutto's power going while making him inaccessible is twisted. beach boy is also a skin crawling stand. very dangerous boys.

Remember the post I made about Jotaro being the same level of fucked up as Kakyoin but in different ways? I think I need to give examples because I have a very distinct thing in my brain I need all of you people to grasp to some extent here.
Jotaro is fucking huge. Ginormous for no reason considering he very likely hadn’t had the time to work out in between beating the shit out of local gang members, dashing and dining, and being a bitch to his mother. But because he hasn’t really been in a setting with a bunch of people with similar physiques as him, he has no idea how to act outside of being ‘cool’. Like, he sees no point in flaunting how he looks so he doesn’t, unlike with someone who, say, worked at their body image for months.
So I am being dead serious when I say Holly didn’t make him a school lunch one time (she had such a bad flu bug she couldn’t get out of bed) Jotaro skips all of his classes, entire day ruined. He goes out to the convenience store, red faced, puffy eyed, and shoves a packet of donuts down his shirt. No one even fucking notices. He eats all of them and cries, it’s so fucking funny.
I should probably mention, Kakyoin is one hundred percent the only one who Jotaro could give less of a shit seeing him do this. So he’s there, gingerly explaining the breeding cycles of salmon and trout in hopes of engaging Jotaro’s autism enough so he doesn’t choke and fucking die around the three donuts he shoved in his mouth.
So, six foot five, bulging muscles, could pop a can of tomatoes open if he put it in between his thighs and squeezed slightly, having a breakdown under a tree somewhere in a national park, defeated. A red haired, twitchy twunk drawing with a stick in the ground saying some shit like, ‘you can tell it’s a type of mammal because of its fin bones, even if it’s exclusively in the water now— please slow down Jojo I really don’t want you to throw up again’.
No, like, he’s a mess all the time but would rather die than be around literally anyone when he has that ‘calm before the storm’ meltdown feeling. So he just sort of shows up at Kakyoin’s doorstep like a stray and lays on his bedroom floor for three hours. Sometimes he falls asleep and Kakyoin uses him as a backrest because he always chooses to be face first directly in front of his Atari and Kakyoin wants to play his games.
Kakyoin’s mother one hundred percent thinks Jotaro is some dangerous delinquent who is going to put her son into a grave, life or death peer pressure situation until she sees Jotaro being dragged out of the house by his ankles with an out of breath Kakyoin carting both their bags under one arm, Jotaro’s coat over one shoulder, and Jotaro’s foot in both his hands. Like, ‘We have a math test. I need good grades. I am not explaining to Miss Holly why you have to retake highschool’.
And Jotaro’s completely limp, like three hundred fucking pounds of pure muscle, wearing a tank top, face down with his hat brim dragging on the floor. He looks fucking dead. He looks like a dead fucking rat. And Kakyoin’s mother no longer has nearly as many worries about Jotaro but also is forever cursed with the knowledge that, even if she were to gossip to her book club about it, they would never believe her.
Also, she’s seen Jotaro cry three separate times on the kitchen floor as Kakyoin makes his grilled cheese in the shapes of dolphins because his favourite cereal changed their packaging or Sadao calls and he’s just losing it in a puddle of tears. He never mentions it again and literally goes back to normal like nothing had happened.
He could beat the shit out of a whole biker gang, spear and set their leader on fire, all stoic and angry and totally badass. Everything falls into place with perfectly timed catchphrases and comebacks, but he’ll still be at Kakyoin’s house, twenty minutes later, face down infront of his Atari. And Kakyoin will use him as a back rest to play his games.

video games.
feeling angsty. also ignore anachronisms i'm just in my feels man (also i totally didn’t know if i should of done a picture of kak or joot, cause it is platonically x joot but like romantically x kakyoin but i picked kak)
synopsis: kakyoin vanishes for 50 days before you could tell him you love him and when you see jotaro return from spending 50 days with him your heart sinks, knowing something is wrong
tw for implied death and possible spoilers!
Tumblr media
Your console has been untouched for the last week. There’s really no fun in playing you and Kakyoin’s favorite game while he’s away and seemingly unable to contact you. Instead of sitting in your bedroom together with one of your best friends you’re curled into your sheets, anxiety ripping away your sanity. He’s been gone for just about two months without a single call, letter, or text. You have no idea why he went other than to help Jotaro’s family with something.
As you turn in your bed to get more comfortable, in the darkness of your room your phone chimes. The screen illuminates your whole room it feels like, not giving you any break from its brightness. You can see the message flash across and it’s from Jotaro.
“I’m at the airport.”
You immediately spring up, knowing if Jotaro is back it must mean that Kakyoin is too. Of course you’re happy that Jotaro is back as you’ve been his friend for several years as his neighbor – but you can’t deny you’re looking forward most to seeing Kakyoin. You can’t wait to tell him all about school and how your scores rival his, and how you’ve started a video game club at the school that you’re hoping he’s down to join.
As you rush to the airport you’re greeted by Jotaro and his grandfather Joseph. Both have solemn expressions which are out of place for both of them. Joseph’s cocky grin is replaced with a straight line and eyebrows furrowed. Jotaro has his hat covering most of his face with an ominous shadow. You run to them in both relief and panic since Kakyoin isn’t among them.
“Jotaro, where’s Kakyoin?” You ask despite fearing the stakes of this trip were higher than you could have imagined. But hearing Joseph’s breath hitch and his gaze turn from you two, you know Kakyoin didn’t make it home.
Jotaro watches the color drain from your face and your arms fall slack at your sides, grief striking you worse than he’s ever seen. Tears gather in the corner of your eyes until they overflow, an avalanche being witnessed by the Joestars. Joseph and Jotaro watch as you fall apart before them. Unable to stop your quickened breathing at the magnitude of what they just expressed, you cover your mouth with your hand to try and not draw attention to you three in the airport.
Joseph nudges Jotaro in the side, signaling for him to reassure you. Jotaro somewhat awkwardly raises his stiff arm to your shoulder. He waits a moment to observe what you do – really if his touch is unwelcomed – and when you stare up at him with that hopeless expression he feels himself snap too.
All that he’s kept inside of him upon seeing Kakyoin lifeless back in Egypt is on the forefront of his mind. He cannot mask his sorrow in the relief that his mother is okay or in the victory of killing Dio. His heart is weighed down entirely by grief at losing his only other friend – the only other person he trusted like he does you. With his hat covering his eyes he begins to cry himself for the first time in likely years. You watch with wide eyes, especially when he pulls you into a hug, unbelieving they’re back and Kakyoin wasn’t so fortunate. Jotaro holds you tightly against him as he slightly cries while you weep in contrast. He hates that he couldn’t keep himself together but he knows you’ll reassure him it’s not weak to cry. Especially over your best friend’s death.
“W-what ha-happened?”
“I’ll tell you later,” Jotaro says with the slightest shake in his voice. “Let’s just…” He trails off in his head, unable to think straight with the sorrow rampaging his heart and mind.
You give him a friendly squeeze while he holds you tightly in his arms, knowing what he’s asking for despite not voicing it entirely.
“Of course Jojo.”

So you know the joke that Polnareff has the worst luck in Part 3 and attracts the most Stand Users? I wanted to see if that was true so I made a pie chart recording every single time the Stardust Crusaders encounter an enemy Stand User.
RULES ARE SIMPLE.
1. For every Enemy Stand User one of the Crusader’s encounter, they will get a Point
2. Points are given to whoever attacked or was attacked by the Enemy User first. Other Crusaders who attack, are attacked, or help with the fight after that initial action will receive Encounter Points. Crusaders who were present but did not assist will not receive Encounter Points
EX: During the Tower of Gray fight, Jotaro, Kakyoin, Avdol and Joseph are present when he appears. Jotaro attacks and is attacked by the Stand first, Avdol almost uses Magician’s Red to help but doesn’t because it could blow up the plane, and Kakyoin defeats it with Hierophant Green. Jotaro would get the Point, but only Kakyoin would get an Encounter Point.
3. It is possible for multiple people to get a Point from one opponent if they are attacked as a group or if the actions happen at roughly the same time
EX: when Polnareff first attacks the group, he attacks Joseph but Avdol immediately attacks him with Magician’s Red. Both get the point.
4. I will only count encounters that happen in the “present” of SDC, meaning encounters like Avdol, Kakyoin and Polnareff’s first meetings with Dio or Joseph and Avdol fighting Iggy won’t receive points
5. I will only count a second encounter with the same Stand User after their “episode” has concluded. Multi Part episodes with the same Enemy User and encounters like Oingo/Boingo and the final fight with Dio will count as a singular encounter for the sake of this rule
There are also a few..... difficult situations that I wasn’t sure how to count, so to avoid confusion I’ll explain them here:
With the Empress, by technicality it’s Polnareff who has the first interaction when Nena runs into him to stop him from killing Hol Horse. However, she doesn’t actually fight anyone until the next episode when she attaches her stand to Joseph. I decided to give them both a Point because the incidents happened in separate episodes
Given the close quarters of the car, Wheel of Fortune attacked them all at once, so they all get a Point
While Jotaro was the one to punch Steely Dan, Joseph was the one who was affected by the Stand at the same time, so it’s a Point for both of them
Similar to Wheel of Fortune, Sun also attacked the whole group at once
Avdol and Kakyoin both get an Encounter Point for the Daniel D’Arby fight because technically their souls assisted in the fight
Kenny G is counted for everyone because his illusions were seen by and tricked everyone when they entered Dio’s mansion
Less of an exception thing and more something I found funny: the Point for DIO technically goes to Polnareff because of their encounter on the stairs
With those rules and explanations in place and way too much time spent combing through every single fight, and I learned a few things.
Tumblr media
1) The jokes about Polnareff having the worst luck are correct, given the fact he encountered a THIRD of all their enemies first
2) Iggy only contributed his last few episodes
3) Avdol and Kakyoin were done dirty and should’ve been allowed to fight more
Maybe I’ll make one for Diamond is Unbreakable later.
The exact who fought who, assisted with what, and the Encounter Point pie chart will be under the cut

What Makes Jotaro Kujo The Most Powerful Stand User
Sorta. Arguably he’s beaten out (with good reason) by GER Giorno and Johnny’s Act 4 Tusk in terms of power, but in-universe he’s considered to be the world’s most powerful Stand user both by characters within the text treating him as such and the overall narrative.
Tumblr media
Case shut, post over it seems, but let’s dig a little deeper into the why… besides being the main character.
The above screenshot frames Jotaro as the most powerful Stand user, but he doesn’t even have the most powerful version of his Stand in Diamond is Unbreakable (it’s actually the weakest). The Stand stats page for Stone Ocean’s Star Platinum reveals that the most powerful version of Jotaro is “when Jotaro was in his prime (18 years old).”
Tumblr media
Narratively, the most powerful Stand user is Jotaro at the very tail end of Stardust Crusaders, after he has gained Time Stop. This is his prime. Another way to pop the bubble on my own analysis here is point out that canon focuses on this moment because it’s right when he kills DIO. Very much usurping a king to take the crown.
But before the story ended, we saw Prime Jotaro do something else which I believe is (also) what makes him the most powerful Stand user in existence. It’s a small, almost forgotten moment. Tucked in between Jotaro learning about Kakyoin’s death and reviving his grandfather.
It’s the time when Jotaro tries the impossible.
SDC Time Stop Jotaro isn’t considered the most powerful Stand user because he’s in his physical prime with a powerful ability. He’s considered that because this was the very moment he decided to try. That’s what makes him the most powerful Stand user.
Tumblr media
Which makes it all the more painful meaning that the times that Jotaro fails are the moments were he doesn’t try enough.
More analysis below the cut. Spoilers for part 6 btw.
There’s that common joke pointing out how ridiculous it is that Jotaro tells Josuke that “you can’t bring back a life once it’s lost” after Josuke’s grandfather dies because Jotaro was literally able to do just that. Sure, the circumstances were different especially with the vampire blood giving immortality, but Jotaro’s attempt was to see if flushing Joseph’s body back with his Joestar blood would revive him, with no intention to turn him vampiric (which it doesn’t. Or it does and Joseph gets the immortality but not the rest of the bad side effects. Joestar blood is too op pls fix in next patch dev team). Regardless, it’s pretty odd and perhaps unintentional parallel that two grandfathers tip the bucket and one survives and the other’s grandson is told that the dead will always remain dead.
Speaking from a in-universe perspective, Jotaro’s speech to Josuke should be taken at as the truth. Bruno dies against Diavolo during their first encounter, with him essentially living as a ghost(/soul) within his own withering corpse thanks to Giorno’s intervention. More obviously in Stone Ocean, when Pucci finds Perla’s body and gets a memory of DIO telling him that there’s no way to bring back the dead.
Tumblr media
So the one exception of cheating death outright is in Joseph being revived by Jotaro. It could be explained by the aforementioned vampire/Joestar blood BS. It could be a simple retcon that got established in DiU so a situation like Joseph wouldn’t happen again. Both interpretations make sense and I would agree with both.
However, I would like to argue that Joseph’s miraculous survival is not a narrative oversight. His revival is proof of Jotaro’s power as a direct result of Jotaro’s willingness to try. Jotaro plans for DIO and Joseph’s body to be put into the same ambulance to return the Joestar blood back to his grandfather. It’s an idea he’s not even sure that works, he asks the doctors if it was possible to transfer blood between the corpses. Joseph is very much dead at this point. If Jotaro calling Joseph’s body a corpse and seeing his soul float off wasn’t enough proof, the doctors immediately call the revival plan impossible/useless.
Tumblr media
I want to stress this is the worst night of Jotaro’s life.
Right before this scene happens he overhears the radio confirm that Kakyoin is dead. He went into the final fight with DIO knowing Avdol and Iggy were both dead, upping the pressure to keep the rest of his friends/family alive. He watched his grandfather die right in front of him and DIO promptly desecrate the corpse. If it weren’t for his own actions, Polnareff would be dead too. He doesn’t know if he killed DIO in time either, from his perspective his mom could’ve died before he could save her in time. (Ha. Time.)
I suppose, in a sea of despondent despair, there was no other options than to cling to the impossible. After all, against all odds, he was able to learn Time Stop and kill DIO. He had to make it worth it. He was there to save his family, his friends died to save his family, if Joseph or Holly died… well.
He wanted to beat the odds again. And he did. In a way, this is him beating fate or at the very least—fate was literally in his hands and he made the decision to bring his grandfather back no matter what.
In DiU and beyond, Jotaro becomes resigned to fate and thus the weakening of his power overall. If fate determined that his friends would die in Egypt, then that would lessen the weight of blame on him and put their deaths as more of an inevitability. Fate is final. You can’t change it.
Tumblr media
Jotaro doesn’t feel pressured to act upon something until he has to, then he does what he needs to be done. In SDC he doesn’t really care about women until they need to be saved or protected. In DiU he says he “hates doing anything tiring” as he saved Koichi from Sheer Heart Attack. He doesn’t visit Jolyne until she’s in jail because of a plot against him (and he couldn’t let DIO’s resentment ruin his daughter’s life).
The actions he takes are what he believes to be the best option, but that option is probably a compromise, not an attempt at the best possible outcome. His treatment to Jolyne is the subject here. He focused his priorities on keeping his family safe by baiting his enemies to himself instead of them, instead of trying to find a compromise where he could be with his daughter and protect her. I can’t blame Jotaro for this decision, but I also can’t avoid the simple fact that he hurt himself and his family for being distant. When fate does catch up, as he expects it to, it bites him in the ass—the stubbornness of DIO’s followers outlived Jotaro’s and he ends up in a coma, unable to act and unable to protect his daughter.
I don’t mean to say that effort isn’t shown by him, he’s extremely observational and analytical and uses those skills to his advantage in practically every fight he’s in. I think the Anubis fight is good proof of that, being brought to his physical limits to the point he can’t move after it. He tries plenty, but it seems clear to me that he tends to only lose when he’s not trying hard enough.
He almost died to a rat because he didn’t plan ahead and figure that the bullets would ricochet. In Stone Ocean, his Time Stop isn’t long enough to save everyone from Made In Heaven. He didn’t maintain his prime Time Stop or sought to expand it, because that was DIO’s goal or, more simply, he didn’t bother to. He went ten years of not needing to use it until Josuke forces him to.
Even with his ability becoming duller in later parts, the story and characters still treat Jotaro like The Most Powerful Stand User. In DiU, after the culmination of the Gang’s efforts, it’s up to Jotaro to stop Kira from reactivating BtD. In Stone Ocean, it’s up to Jotaro to kill Pucci when no one else is literally able to. Stardust Crusaders’ final fight is when Jotaro is completely alone, when there’s no one left but him to stop DIO.
The narrative again and again reenforces the idea that Jotaro is the strongest Stand user in the story, that everything falls on his shoulders and he is the one to make sure the evil dies and who’s left, lives. Past part 3, the narrative continues to say that he’s the most powerful Stand user, but it’s also clear that it’s not true anymore. His Time Stop isn’t as strong as it was in his prime. He no longer lives up to the expectation he made for himself in the few minutes after he killed DIO.
That moment in the ambulance, that’s the moment Jotaro tries without the pressure of death—the dust has already settled—or his own sense of justice—the evil has been fought. Joseph is dead and DIO is dead. Out of the desire and the off chance that he could hear his grandfather share stupid trivia with him, Jotaro reaches for the impossible, the best possible outcome, and gets it.
After the end of Stardust Crusaders, Jotaro no longer is at his ‘prime’. For someone who hates useless things, he becomes what he deems as useless. He’ll live the rest of his life in the shadow of his own self, the self that proved that he could do the impossible.

The Part 3 Dilemma
I have one of this random thoughts of mine and it's about one of the complaints about Stardust Crusaders
Tumblr media
"I dropped at Part 3 because the plot dragged too long" "The Monster-of-the week trope made it boring"
Personally, I don't mind it (thanks to Jotaro's presence tbh). But I do understand why others feel that way. I feel like the reason Araki decided to stick with that set-up is because for one, it's a shonen series (a.k.a a manga who's targeted for young boys), and two that it's because it's his way of experimenting with a new power system.
So, you can't really blame a guy who wanted to test things out in the beginning rather than to focus on writing a more engaging story, more so when him knowing that the introduction of Stands and their powers was able to bring him the most commercial success.
But from a writer's perspective and someone who watches a lot of shows, I think what made SC such a sludge to get through is this part's lack of subplots.
What do I mean by that? Let me explain:
"A subplot is a narrative thread that is woven through the media to support the elements of the main plot. A subplot can build out the conflict in the main plot or it can be a vehicle for a secondary character's storyline."
Essentially, it's a method of fleshing out the story more by introducing the audience a side story to either tackle a theme that's related to the main plot or develop a character more to better understand their purpose in the story.
Now let's look at Part 3
The central point of this part is that a big bad has returned to wreak havoc on the Joestars and the world and it's the heroes' job is to get rid of him once and for all. It's odyssey-based where we get to see the guys go on this journey and fight the bad guys until they reach the final stage.
But because this part involves just that- the fighting bad guys part- for 40+ episodes, it bores the audience because of how repetitive it's becoming. There's nothing else it has going on for it to keep the audience engaged.
There's a significant lack of subplots to enhance their journey to Egypt.
Compare that to the other parts…
Part 4: A slice-of-life/murder mystery plot that focuses on the stories of its residents (e.g. Koichi's development, Okuyasu's family issues, Yukako's obssesion, Rohan's antics as a mangaka, Josuke's bond with Joseph), before tying them into the main plot in the second half (e.g. Reimi's murder, the involvement of the Stand arrow, focus on Kira's mind as a psychopathic serial killer) Part 5: Got to look into the past of each of Bucciarati's crew: Giorno and Bucciarati's childhood, Mista's pre-Stand user life, Abbachio's past as a cop, Diavolo and Trish's dynamic, Fugo's history with his anger issues. There's also the involvement of the Stand arrow, brief focus on La Squadra's perspective, etc. Part 6: Explores the characters of Ermes (seeking justice for the death of her sister), FF (their path of finding their identity), delving deep into DIO's psyche about "attaining heaven", Weather Report's history with Pucci and Perla, and the estranged bond between Jolyne and Jotaro.
This is Araki improving his craft but when we compare that to Part 3, we can see that P3 only got the "fighting enemies until we reach the boss" plot going on. And that's tedious to get past.
Sure we got one subplot going: Polnareff's quest of avenging the death of his sister.
Tumblr media
His purpose of joining the Crusaders in the first place was to find the killer. It's been tackled for more than one episode and in the process, we see him form rapport with the allies he made while still sticking to his mission, allowing the audience to connect to the Frenchman more (even to the point where they start to joke that he's the main protagonist instead of Jotaro)
But what of the rest? What of the development of the other Crusaders?
Kakyoin and his past as a lonely child born with a Stand?
How Avdol met Joseph, and what his motivation was to continue working with the latter?
Maybe a subtle foreshadowing of Joseph's infidelity or how he's doing in New York prior to the quest?
Heck maybe even a background as to why Jotaro turned to delinquency when in the past, he's seen or viewed as a regular happy child who does well and is active in school?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Instead, what we got is Kak's past revealed as a last minute attempt to make us feel sympathy for him as he's dying, Avdol died without much going about him, Joseph is just there to be the secondary Jojo, and 3taro is most of the fandom's worst version of Jotaro because at a surface level, he's seen only as a rude standoffish teenager who does not emote for no reason.
We don't get to connect with the Crusaders as much or as deep because we don't know them outside of "we're here to defeat the big evil" and a bunch of fighting.
tldr: Not enough character development because there's too much of the "beat the bad guys and win"
I don't know. It's just my personal take because usually when I consume media, I tend to get hooked onto the story when there's mini stories that fleshes out the overarching theme.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk

A very fun AU concept thats been buzzing in my head for awhile is a Part 4 Kakyoin AU, him getting along with and bonding with the Duwang gang alongside Jotaro. I think Josuke and Koichi's dynamics with Kakyoin would be the most fun to think about. But then, midway through the part, Kakyoin is killed by Kira.
Admittedly the only thing I could think of so far of how exactly Kira could manage to kill Kakyoin would be him trying to use one of Heirophant's tendrils to track him down. Only for Kira to notice it and turn it into basically a bomb fuse that tracks all the way back to Kakyoin.
Jotaro would probably be in.. not great of a mental state. Kakyoin already nearly got himself killed in Part 3 against Dio, but now he's actually been killed by the serial killer they were trying to catch. He'd roped Kakyoin into another dangerous situation that Kakyoin himself didn't even have a personal motive to be apart of, and this time it had gotten him killed. Polnareff had already vanished going after the arrow in Italy, and now Kakyoin was dead.
Now, this hunt for a mysterious serial killer had become even more personal. And if Kakyoin's death happened before Koichi and Jotaro are nearly killed by Kira.. well, who knows how the end of that fight might change.
YOU KNOW I THOUGHT THIS WAS GOING IN ONE DIRECTION BUT THEN IT HARD PIVOTED IN ANOTHER
oh god Jotaro though, mans is going to be an absolute mess
and I had an idea for why if you'd like to hear it. Admittedly it also has it's own amount of problems which would need to be set up, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it
what if instead of Shigechi dying, it's Kakyoin in his place instead. He manages to snatch a button and then sends Hierophant as fast as it can possibly go to Jotaro, inadvertently giving the man a front row seat to his death as he bursts into flames and then crumbles to ash
as one can imagine, Jotaro Absolutely Freaks The Fuck Out. Man is a few steps away from going full scorched earth on Morioh and it's only because of the kids he doesn't
maybe this extra shot of pure rage and adrenaline is enough to keep him running. Maybe the slight decrease of trauma from Egypt is enough that when Jotaro gets back up and sees Koichi's presumed corpse it's enough for him to finally snap and run Kira through like he just did the boy
but no mater how angry he is, no matter how much he mourns or cries or hates himself for not being faster, it's not going to bring Kakyoin back

name a bleach character you think would work in another anime and drop your reasons why
Tumblr media
I'll start, here me outー Orihime in JJBA. Specifically part 3, Stardust Crusaders.
First of all, with Stands like the Sex Pistols and Harvest, the Shun Shun Rikka could easily be transitioned into a Stand. Hell, if we take her OST into account she already has a name for it: Love Is Waiting (which Imma roll with because Vanilla Ice didn't have a Stand named after the major arcana nor an Egyptian god).
Second, I think that she would mesh surprisingly well with the Crusaders. In the practical sense, the Crusaders could have used a healer on the team for a lot of their close calls. I would even go as far to say that depending on the circumstances that Avdol could easily be the only Crusader casualty if Orihime was present for the fight against Vanilla Ice as healing Iggy would be light work for her. (Because considering what happened to Avdol was an ambush idk if he'd be able to luck out.) And if Koichi could last long enough for Josuke to pop up and heal him, Kakyoin's ass could wait for Orihime.
And personality-wise, she would definitely add to the comedy of the Crusaders' dynamic with gag scenes like her attempting to cook while they're traveling through the desert, the Shun Shun Rikka's individual personalities, deciding getting bit by Iggy is worth it because he's so adorable. Plus she'd add an empathetic touch to the cast when necessary. I could definitely see her connecting quite well with Polnareff since they both share the loss of a sibling and I feel like they'd have a brother-sister dynamic themselves by the end of the part.
And third, if you wanna go as far as shipping, honestly I think she'd be rather compatible with Kakyoin. I think he'd find her charming and easy to talk to about his fears and shame concerning his past run-in with DIO. Orihime would be the one most likely to try and listen to him when everyone else thought he was cracking under the pressure during the Death 13 episodes and realize that Kakyoin might have been acting off throughout the day but not in the way the others were assuming. They'd have their first date after getting back to Japan after DIO's defeat.
Bonus: her TYBW arc dress would fit rather well with the Jojo aesthetic.
(And as far as other parts of JJBA... I could see her in either/or of the many cast members of Stand users created by Keicho in part 4 whether that's as a lady who works at a local bakery or as a classmate of Josuke & co.
As much as I'd like to finesse Orihime into Part 5 though, I don't think it would work since I have a hard time seeing how she would fit in smoothly with the Bucci Gang.I can say with reluctant confidence though that I think she'd be a member of the gang that wouldn't make it though since in the second half of GW Diavolo specifically targeted members of the gang based on how much of a threat they were. Moody Blues' rewind ability and Aerosmith's tracking got Abbacchio and Narancia knocked off the team census and with Orihime's defense and healing abilities, she'd be a long term hindrance in keeping the team going. So I imagine Orihime would have a massive target on her back because of it.)
TLDR: I think Orihime would fit in pretty well with the cast of Stardust Crusaders in a practical sense, the team dynamic and if shipping is also something floats your boat she would have it covered as well.
(I also posted this on the Bleach subreddit but figured why not on tumblr too, I wanna hear everyone else's opinions.)

Polnareff x male reader
Tumblr media
Summary: you are the newest member of the SDC, who joined shortly after iggy did. Similar to kakyoin and polnareff, you were an enemy stand user turned ally, who also wanted to defeat Dio. (This fix does contain tickles so if you don’t like it then scroll).
Tw: not many, mention of people changing and being shirtless
Word count: 1885 words
“Good morning y/n. I hope you slept well.”
You awoke to the sound of Advol and Joseph cooking breakfast. You yawned and smiled in Advol’s direction. Even though you had only been a part of the Stardust crusaders for a short time, they were all quick to make you feel welcomed. However, one member stood out to you. Jean Pierre Polnareff was the third person to meet you, and was the first to warm up to you. Your first impression of him was quite unforgettable.
You were sat with both Advol and Joseph in a small cafe, waiting for the rest of the crusaders to join you. Suddenly, the door to the cafe burst open.
“God, it took me forever to find this place. I’ve been walking for almost an hour-“
The man in the door way suddenly paused his short-lived rant and stared in your direction. He was like nothing you’d ever seen before; he had a thick French accent and was built similar to that of an ancient Greek statue. He smirked and sauntered over, pulling up a chair.
“Ah, you must be the new stand user, non?”
You replied quietly, which caused his heart to melt ever so slightly.
“My name’s Jean Pierre Polnareff, and not so long ago I was in a similar situation to you mon ami. Dio had one of those horrific flesh buds implanted into my brain.”
You listened carefully as he explained his whole story: about his sisters death, his mission to avenge her, and how he met Dio and obtained his stand.
He stopped talking and began discussing plans with Advol and Joseph. Very few minutes he would turn his head to catch your gaze. A sappy grin would plaster his face every time you made eye contact, and looked away in panic. Everything was so new to you, especially him.
As you slowly arose from your sleeping bag, your eyes began to adjust, and you started to function. As you began to eat, a shadow cast over you.
“Well good morning y/n, I see you slept well.”
Polnareff towered over you, smiling as he always did. You nodded in response and the Frenchman sat next to you and began eating his breakfast.
“Mm Joseph, I’m amazed at how you can achieve such incredible food in the middle of a desert.” Polnareff spoke between bites, which made Joseph smile.
“Good food comes from experience Polnareff” Joseph replied, much like a father lecturing his son. You sat and spectated all of the crusader’s conversation, as you didn’t talk as much as the rest of them.
“So y/n,” Polnareff turned to look at you, breaking through your internal silence, “you’ve been with us for almost a week now. How are you finding it? Entertaining non?”
You paused eating and thought for a moment. Your journey so far had been incredible so far. Yes, it involved fighting enemy stand users most days, however you had visited so many amazing places, it was worth it.
“Yeah, it’s been nice so far thanks.”
“Oh, je suis content!” The Frenchman beamed at you. He seemed to do this often, despite only knowing you for a short time. Even the others could tell, he acted different towards you. You were no different from the rest of the crusaders, however Polnareff seemed to be drawn to you in more ways than one.
After everything had been cleared from breakfast and the campsite had been packed away, you and the rest of the crusaders began to make your way towards the nearest town; your destination was a hotel not far from the city centre.
Journeying with the boys was nice. The conversation was always interesting, and Polnareff always made an effort to try and get you to come out of your shell.
“Ugh, we’ve been walking for ages Jiji, how much longer until we get to the city.”
Although Jotaro was the only one to voice it, everyone was sick of walking.
“Only a few minutes now Jotaro.” Joseph replied.
Soon enough, you had reached the hotel. Joseph had insisted on booking all the rooms, due to his wealth.
“Ok, so I managed to book three rooms. Two have two single beds.” Immediately Jotaro interjected.
“Me and kakyoin will take one of the single bed rooms.”
“Right,” Advol spoke up, “ and me and Mr. Joestar will take the room closest to the ground floor, in case of an emergency.”
“Ok,” Joseph spoke, “that room is also one of the single bed rooms. So that leaves…y/n and polnareff. You both don’t mind sharing do you?”
Before you could say anything, Polnareff spoke up,
“I don’t mind at all Mr. Joestar, although I do snore, so I warn you Y/n.” He spoke playfully, and didn’t notice how red you were.
“We’re both adult men, we’ll survive two nights.”
You grabbed your bags and took the lift up to your room. When you got there, you unpacked your bags and sat idly on the bed.
“Already chose your side of the bed y/n?”
You turned around to face Polnareff. To say you were nervous was an understatement. He made you nervous; not in an uncomfortable way, but he had a strange effect on you.
“I-I don’t mind which side, I was just sittin-“
“Woah woah mon ami, I was just pulling your leg. I don’t care about sides.”
He gave you a reassuring look, before placing his bags down.
“I’m just going to freshen up. You don’t mind do you?”
“No not at all, go ahead”
After a few minutes, Polnareff walked out of the bathroom, with only a towel draped over his waist. His hair dripped over his shoulders. You’d never seen his hair down.
“Je m’excuse y/n, I forgot to grab my clothes.”
You quickly turned around as he picked up his clothes. The Frenchman chuckled at your reaction.
“Aw, quel est le problème y/n, I’m not offended.”
He retreated to the bathroom and shortly came out wearing a baggy t-shirt and pyjama bottoms. He slumped down on the bed next to you. You quickly arose, and got changed in the bathroom also. You came out wearing a similar outfit.
“You ok y/n, you seem…jumpy?”
You froze. He was perceptive to say the least. The very thought of sharing a bed with Polnareff made you weak, and he secretly knew it.
“I’m fine thank you Polnareff.”
You sat on the bed next to him, rigid as a wooden board.
“You need to relax mon ami.”
Polnareff rested his hands on your shoulders.
“Hey, I give a killer massage. How does that sound huh?”
You moved out of his grasp, your stomach in knots.
“No thanks Polnareff, I’m not overly fond of massages.”
“Aw why not?”
You stopped a moment to try and think of a lie. The truth was you were incredibly sensitive. It would only take a small squeeze on your back, ribs, or pretty much anywhere else, and you’d burst into uncontrollable giggles. It was humiliating to say the least.
“Uh, it’s just not my thing.”
“Oh don’t be silly, here-“
Before you could interject, Polnareff’s hands dug into your shoulders lightly. You jumped and let out a small yelp.
“Whahat was that mon ami?”
Your reaction amused Polnareff, but it also confused him.
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to-“
“Don’t apologise y/n, I should’ve listened. But why did you react?”
“I-I don’t know”
“Oh come on y/n, we both know you know, so spill.”
You were speechless, much to the Frenchman’s dismay.
“Is it pain.? Non? Were you startled, uncomfortable, heck, ticklish!”
The last word made you react visibly. You were incredibly embarrassed. However, this delighted your French counterpart.
“Well I would never have guessed.“ he jested.
“I can explain-“
“No need mon Cher. I’m just surprised is all. I mean, you’ve taken down stand users with immense power, yet you buckled under my touch.” It’s quite sweet really.”
You felt more at ease knowing he wouldn’t judge; this was short lived. A shit-eating grin spread across Polnareff’s face, and he suddenly had you pinned to the bed.
“W-what are you doing?” Panic filled your voice, which only made Polnareff chuckle. He gripped both your wrists with one hand and had the other hand placed over your stomach.
“What, you thought I wouldn’t use this new information mon ami? I’ve finally found a way to loosen you up. About time.”
“Please. It’s embarrassing”
Polnareff scoffed “Absurdité! You need a laugh y/n, and I’d be more than happy to give it to you.”
Within second, the Frenchman’s fingers spidered across your abdomen, making you artist with bubbly giggles. Your protests only made Polnareff’s smirk wider.
“tes rires sont comme de la musique,” polnareff often switched to French halfway through his speech, more so with you than other people; he enjoyed your reaction every single time.
“Un garçon tellement chatouilleux~”
“Stop teasing!” You begged through giggles.
“Oh I’m afraid I can’t do that gentil garçon, this is too much fun”
He dragged his index finger along your bare ribs, which drove you mad. He decided to switch positions, and straddled your waist, pinning your wrist with silver chariot. He placed both hands on your hips and drilled his fingers into your skin. Your laughter picked up.
“NO NO NOT THERE PLEHEAEE I BEG.”
“Oh you beg do you,” Polnareff teased, “has the chatouiller le monstre found a bad spot.”
You replied with louder giggles, snorting occasionally. Polnareff began to slow down, making sure you could catch your breath.
“Aw, tu es tout rouge~”
“Ok ok, that’s enough., plehease stop.”
Your giggles began to gradually stop. As you regained your senses, you noticed Polnareff’s gaze. There was no judgement or malice behind those eyes; only love and adoration.
“Oh, but one more thing y/n..”
Polnareff swiftly lifted up your t shirt, exposing your bare stomach. His head rested on your torso as he blew raspberries on you stomach. You squealed in surprise. You felt your wrists loosen and you immediately rolled onto your sides, clutching your ribs.
“Pl-plehease, no more.”
“Alright, J’ai fini~”
Polnareff pulled you close to him and hugged you. His face beamed with joy; he hadn’t had this much fun in a while, and to tell the truth, neither had you.
“Well I quite enjoyed that,” Polnareff began, “it’s refreshing to hear you laugh finally y/n. You’re always so quiet, but now I know what get you giggling huh?”
“It’s been so long since anyone has done that to me.”
Polnareff looked surprised.
“What, no way. But you’re so ticklish, how has no one ever seen this side of you?”
“I’m not quite sure, I’m not massively close to many people.”
“That’s tragic y/n. Well, you’ll be glad to know I’m not easy to rid of. And I’d you think I’m not going to use this tactic when never you’re being too quiet, then you’re mistaken.”
You smiled coyly in response. You yawned; it had gotten late now, and the Frenchman had tired you out.
“I suppose we’d better get some rest,” you began, “ I’m shattered now.”
You both layer down on opposite sides, however Polnareff was not one for being awkward and distant. He moved closer to you and wrapped his arms around your torso. You tensed up, but soon relaxed once you got used to his embrace.
“Mm, bonne nuit y/n, dors bien~”
“Good night Pol.~”

so many people ignore avdol (a long complaint and lots of rambling)
Avdol is one of the core character in Part 3, yet it's rare to see content of him outside of the ship between him n Polnareff. This is SO annoying to me. People put their whole tushies into loving Kakyoin (who got so little screen time) but then ignore Avdol. Now I could go into WHY i think this happens, but instead i'll just complain about his treatment in canon as well.
Avdol is treated with less care by canon than any of the other characters. How? He's given no backstory, his death is overshadowed (and unnecessary imo), and he is simply pushed to the side so much.
For example, him and Kakyoin were both sidelined due to injuries in the part, but you know what happens when Kakyoin is killed? He's given an entire backstory (and even flashbacks in the anime.) His death is the key to the other Crusaders learning of Dio's stand ability. Compare this to Avdol's death now.
First of all, why was the fucking dumb dog's death treated as the same level of severity as Avdol's (the PERSON??) Like I can't even find a fucking angst edit abt Avdol's death without people including Iggy clips and voicelines from Polly abt it. Well okay, I know the reason for this. They're treated at the same level in canon. If anything, Polly is practically more torn up over Iggy's death than Avdol's honestly.
It's fucking stupid. First of all, it's ridiculous that Iggy survived longer than Avdol and it's stupid that he's the one who helped actually defeat Vanilla Ice. Secondly, Iggy should've died during the Pet Shop arc in all honesty.
But reallly, it should've been Polnareff to die. Avdol dying in the end is just an unsatisfying arc for the two of them. It's just Avdol sacrificing himself for Polnareff two times and Polly just crying. It would've been better for Polnareff to be able to save his loved one for once, something he couldn't do for Sherry. It would also be more satisfying considering Avdol has, again, already been shot in the head for Polly.
And don't get me started on the bitches that don't include Avdol in SDC content oh my god yall desever NOTHING
TLDR; i love avdol and he deserves MORE
