Just heard an interview with the director-general of Gaza's Health Ministry Dr. Munir al-Bursh in which the interviewer asked: what remains available in northern Gaza as viable options for medical centers and relief teams to intervene following Israeli strikes?
To which Dr. al-Bursh replied:
The only thing available is death. People are bleeding and dying on the streets, as is happening right now after the Indonesian hospital and Kamal Adwan hospital were both destroyed.  This morning, a woman came carrying her fetus’ head, she could not find anyone to deliver her baby. We assisted her at the entryway of the medical center. The truth is, there is nothing but death now on every street, on every corner, and in every alley. Death is the master of the situation. This is genocide. This violent bombing is intended to annihilate the Palestinian people, it is intended to annihilate the health system, it is intended to kill children. Since this morning, we have been receiving children in our arms. Our hearts are frozen, our minds are frozen as we hold these innocent children. These are executions, this is genocide. People in Gaza City have been crying out for help since last night because of a fire that has been burning their area and their children. They have been burnt to death. Last night ten of the Najjar family came to us with severe burns that exceed 60% or 70%, so death is their solution. Death is easier for them. Many wounded people are arriving to us now, and this small hall in the Jabalia Medical Center is filled with wounded people who prefer to die because there is no treatment, no medicine, no painkillers. We had four surgeries tonight, and by God, by God, there is no anesthetic medicine for them. The doctor told me either they die or I try. I told him to try without any drugs. This procedure was filmed, and the patient was screaming in agony, but what do we do? We have a choice: whether to let him die or try. What can I say? God, these scenes no one can even imagine.

To Deserve Something
"Aku ga masalah di bayar berapa aja. Gapernah mikirin malah, serius."
A friend said that to me today and it reminded me of myself years ago when I was still pursuing my bachelor's. I just thought "It'd be cool if I could work there/here." Next thing I know was that I sent my CV and got an interview and passed the exam then I was in. I remember my first part time job was a teaching job to students' houses. I just followed my two best friends lol My first paycheck was 60.000 IDR hahah Then my second job I got because a friend of mine wanted to take an English course in a place and we were asking the boss/manager about the prices yet he ended up interviewing me in English and asked me Grammar questions which fortunately I could answer correctly (ofc, I was and I am still a grammar freak wkwk)
Then he eventually said this, "Nah, kamu ngapain les lagi? Udah pinter kamu. Jadi asisten saya mau ga? Kebetulan sy memang sdg nyari asisten. Saya gaji 500 ribu sebulan. Gimana?"
Mr. J, almarhum, a smart and casual guy, my first real boss, very adventurous and full of freedom. So yeah, my friend paid on the spot for her course, I got the job😆 I loved this job so so so very much. That was my first time being exposed to Bule, most of them are native speakers of English. My job description was mostly driving the Bules around, feeding them local food, well, talking and assisting them with teaching equipment they needed. I even cleaned the office, like literally sweeping, mopping, all of those. Again, it was fun.
And then at the same time, I was doing my teaching internship in a boarding school and again, I took over some of the "real" teachers classes because she was busy with some other things. Sometimes she asked me to check hundreds of students' tasks and input the grades etc and she'd pay me weekly even though I always said, "But this is my internship, it's not paid." And every time she'd answer, "You've done more than the PPL syllabus."
Next thing, I vaguely remember how it happened but obviously someone offered me a girl's dormitory supervisor job, "You can live here for free, we pay you almost 6 million every 3 months. And the job is simple, just watch the girls in dormitory. Wdys?"
Yeah, I bought a bike and moved to the school the following day. And starting that month, with my 5 part time jobs (manager's assistant at Mr. J's, translation project, private teaching, this dormitory supervisor job + I wrote 2 articles per day for a fresh website at that time) I earned 5-7 million per month and still asked my parents and sister for my monthly allowance, what a bish right? :) I know, I know, you can and must judge me cz seriously, ever since all that, I always think that money is my goal in life. Every day money, money, moneyyyy wkwk. I work so freaking hard to get it, I can spend it on whatever I want (mostly food, food, and food + a bunch of entertainment fees🙃).
That's why after graduating from uni, it was hard for me to find a job with minimum standard pay of 7 million, bcz now, yeah, it's all about money cz apparently your parents and neighbors expect you to be an adult. And an adult, he takes care of himself in all aspects of life including financial one. But nah, I was a fresh graduate who graduated from a C-accredited university in Sumatra, and I expected to be paid that much for this job: teaching. That didn't work out ofc! Wkkw This is Indonesia, most teachers are underpaid! Well, I could've worked in Jakarta, I was offered a bit more of 7 million at that time, but I hate Jakarta, no offence but big  and crowded cities are just not places for me:)
Long story short, I worked in Russia as a CS and definitely was paid even triple of my expectation. When I came back to Indonesia and started to teach English again in a well-known English course, I got not even Monica's standard and the boss said, "that's the rate for Indonesian, in this city, it's considered super high already fyi"
2 years kinda well spent in Lombok, I came back to Russia, same city, same country and here, I'm paid equal to even higher that real native English speakers. Why? Here's what I've been observing: - I don't have any accents, and here, it's more than enough to be considered "international teacher". - I have the knowledge of course lol - But the most important thing is that, all of these 10+ years of teaching, managing, supervising etc, and obviously so so many learnings and making mistakes kinda events, I have been trained to be able to teach in the most fun and communicative way possible. That's why teachers with TEFL, TESOL certification, they are paid higher. Even really really high if you have passed CELTA exam. Well, I have TEFL, it was a piece of cake lol Planning to take CELTA but even to take the exam you've gotta pay seharga umroh paket GOLD😂 So yeah, I need to go umroh first lah. Aamiin😆
So I know, I know how hard it is to be a teacher in Indonesia. "Pahlawan tanpa tanda jasa", that's totally true! It doesn't matter how much we r paid, it won't be able to pay each and every effort we make to educate hundreds even thousands of students. Teachers are the second parents of every group of children, sometimes we are their only home. Coba deh ngajar di pedalaman atau low income districts, you will feel how it is to be a real teacher. You either truly do your best or do nothing at all, because it's difficult. Difficult to explain to the students how important it is for them to pay attention, how essential education is. It's hard to convince the parents not to let their children work and send them to school instead. It's challenging to teach them because most of them don't really know how to behave. It's not comfortable to sleep on the floor and not to be able to see cars every day and so on, many more. So yeah, hats off to these people who dedicate themselves to educate the less fortunate, they are true teachers, may God grant them what they deserve in this life and afterlife.

The theory about ‘Sukuna’s going to eat (or try to eat) Megumi’ has a high probability to come true
This theory is cross-posted on posted on reddit. Contains spoilers for non-manga readers.
I know that (some) people are sick of this, but I’d like to point out something I’ve noticed from u/bushwarblerssong's post about the urban legend that inspired Gege to create Sukuna, which I think supports the ‘Sukuna will (try to) eat Megumi’ theory.
Gege said he created Sukuna based on an urban legend thread that was posted on 2chan.
The summary of this urban legend thread;
> A construction worker found a 2 meter wooden box with ‘Ryoman Sukuna ??? is sealed’ written on it at the old temple his company was demolishing. Fyi he was the one who posted the thread, so I’ll refer to him as 2chan guy just like bushwarblerssong did on their post.
> 2chan guy called the former priest of the temple & told him about the box.
> The priest told 2chan guy to not open the box.
> Two of 2chan guy’s coworkers opened the box for fun, then they became sick (mute + dazed) & hospitalized (few days later one of them died due to heart attack while the other became mentally unstable).
> That box contained a mummy of two conjoined twins.
> 2chan guy called the priest again. The priest came with his son and took the box. 2chan guy asked the priest’s son about the mummy.
> Priest’s son confirmed the mummy was indeed a pair of conjoined twins. The twins were purchased by Mononobe who was a leader of a religious sect & then the twins got locked inside a secret chamber with other prisoners who also had deformities. They all cannibalized each other there.
> Mononobe was interested in the twins & wanted the twins to become the sole survivor, so he stabbed other prisoners before he threw the twins there.
> The twins survived & Mononobe turned them into a mummy while they were still alive (by starving them). Then he named them Ryomen (Two Faces) Sukuna.
And here’s the interesting part, quoting bushwarblerssong;
To increase the mummy’s power, Mononobe filled Ryomen Sukuna’s stomach with a fine powder made from the crushed bones of ancient “traitorous clans” (like the Emishi or Tsuchigumo) eradicated by the Imperial Court.
Doesn’t the Zen’in kinda fit this label? Since they are in the process of getting removed from the three great families.
Tumblr media
ch 152
Maki and Megumi are also deemed as traitors by the Zen’in clan, and perhaps by the Jujutsu Society/higher ups as well. Because they’re currently trying to free Gojo. Plus Megumi is on Yuji’s side and the higher ups clearly see Yuji as evil/dangerous and they want Yuji (Sukuna) dead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ch 148
Anyway, Sukuna has a mouth on his stomach so it matches the urban legend. I’m guessing Mononobe cut open the stomach of the Urband Legend Sukuna so he could stuff it with the bone powder, thus creating the second mouth.
Tumblr media
cover for ch 117
A huge mouth also exists in Sukuna’s domain expansion.
Tumblr media
ch 8
Tumblr media
ch 119
His domain expansion is called Fukumamizushi (伏魔御廚子) in Japanese. Fukuma (伏魔) means a place where demons hide while Mizushi (御廚子) means the place inside the palace where the emperor eats or the kitchen.
The name of Sukuna’s DE can be taken as “Sukuna’s kitchen” or “Emperor Sukuna’s dining place.”
Tumblr media
“The kitchen of all deaths is here!!”
His innate domain also looks like the inside of a stomach.
Tumblr media
So far Sukuna’s innate techniques are all related to cooking (Knives; dismantle and cleaves/filleting*, and Fire; flames |*the kanji hachi 捌 also means filleting fish) and we’ve seen him talking about his enemies in cooking term. He even 'employs' Uraume because of Uraume’s cooking skill.
Tumblr media
Q: How long has Uraume known Sukuna?
A: Uraume has known Sukuna for 1000 years. Uraume is a human who’s allowed to stand next to Sukuna because Uraume could make delicious food. Uraume is also a sorcerer.
Q: Is Uraume a chef?
A: Sukuna likes to eat people, but it’s difficult to cook them, or rather only few people have the experience, but Uraume is excellent at this.
This character introduction implies that the reason why Sukuna allows Uraume to become his (only) follower is because of Uraume’s cooking skill. Weren't Uraume a good cook, Sukuna most likely wouldn't keep Uraume around.
Also, let’s not forget that it’s also mentioned in the official fanbook that Sukuna finds the most pleasure in eating.
Tumblr media
三枚おろし is a culinary term for filleting a fish (into three slices).
Tumblr media
味見 means tasting. The fight is a literal taste test for him.
Tumblr media
“A delicious death begins with a careful preparation.”
The motif of eating and cooking is heavily emphasized on Sukuna. Even the way he gains control of Yuji’s body began with eating (Yuji ate Sukuna’s finger). Moreover Yuji is also a good cook, he taught Megumi to make meatballs.
(FYI in Gifu prefecture, there’s a giant dish called "Sukuna nabe" or Sukuna stew. Apparently this dish can serve approximately 2500 people. Gifu prefecture was the Hida province back then. It’s said that people of Hida liked Sukuna & considered him as a hero because he defeated a poisonous dragon and a demon called Shichina)
These are the reasons why I believe Sukuna will eat someone later, or at least try to. I’m willing to bet a huge amount of money on this. That mouth on his stomach isn’t there just for decorating, it’s for eating.
And since his interest is solely on Megumi, it’s logical to assume Megumi will become his prey in the future.
I mean, who else fits this position beside Megumi? The other person Sukuna acknowledges is Gojo (so far only Gojo and Megumi are referred to with their full names by Sukuna) but that acknowledgement doesn’t seem to go beyond killing—revenge against Gojo for humiliating him in ch 2/ep 3.
IMO if Sukuna does end up eating humans again later, the very first person he eats would be someone whom he considers special, like a fine grade-A ingredient. Basically the human version of wagyu beef or bluefin tuna.
He wouldn't eat just anybody, at least not at first, because it's stated in the fanbook that "it's difficult to cook them (humans)." So I don't think he would reserve such meticulous preparation for random nobodies. Besides it'd be his first meal after a thousand years of being sealed, so it's gotta be special.
And for what reason? Why would he want to eat Megumi? And why not now? Why wait?
Like many others I believe he wants to absorb Megumi’s power or ability once Megumi reaches his full potential, similar to what Getwo/Kenjaku did with Mahito to cast Maximum Uzumaki in order to create his ideal world, and also similar to the Urband Legend Sukuna ("to increase power").
u/Astral_M explained this in their post about the body is equal to the soul, thus consuming the body is equal to consuming the soul. Quoting them;
Because Sukuna's fingers (part of his body == soul) were preserved, his core of cursed energy is preserved. And Yuji is evidence of a very important concept: Consuming someone's body counts as consuming their cursed core, inheriting their technique!
Tumblr media
source: WAYA - Anime Explanation (min 5:01)
I’ve seen multiple versions of translation/interpretations of this, the most common one is “Sukuna wants to create his ideal world with Megumi” I’m not trying to be nitpicking here but this version contains a different meaning from the one I screenshot, because it implies Sukuna wants Megumi to work together with him...... and I doubt that's exactly what Sukuna has in mind. I'm assuming the one I screenshot is the correct (more accurate) version because WAYA is a native Japanese speaker.
Also I think it's worth to note that it's not Gege who said this, it’s the interviewer. Gege’s answer/respond to it was fully censored, so we don’t know whether he actually agreed with this notion or not.
The interviewer then said this (in response to Gege's bleeped out answer);
Tumblr media
Another translation;
Tumblr media
source: _zanzou_
I don’t think Megumi is going to die (or get eaten) early. It’d happen in or near the final arc.
Megumi either dies in Sukuna/Yuji’s hands (depends if they manage to separate, I'm betting Sukuna's going to merge with Yuji though, because it fits the theme; conjoined twins + two faces), or he lives, because clearly Sukuna wouldn’t allow others to kill him.
Thanks for reading!
TL;DR Sukuna will definitely (try to) eat someone later and that someone is most likely going to be Megumi.

Hi Delaney!
Ah, yes the quarantine. It’s getting to me. Definitely. Suddenly I have no office to go to. But it’s good, I think. Make the CEO realize the upper management has no literal reasons to keep us in the office. Like at all. Seriously, everyone from my team is working from home and the level of productivity is actually better. Because guess what? Not having people breathing down our necks is SUPER helpful. So HA!
Okay, about Larry Stylinson. You’re right, I did fall into YouTube Blackhole. And Twitter. And I just watched 1D San Siro concert. By watching, I mean I actually paused the work I’m doing and looked at the screen while it played. Admittedly I was also doing chores but! It wasn’t just background music! It counted!
When I said I could put Larry Stylinson in a microwave and be done with it, I mean the theories and compilation videos are so readily available and easy to digest like, comparable to instant meals.
It’s so neatly packaged, too. Like, I was introduced to Larry Stylinson basically yesterday. Now I could recite the storyline in my head whenever I please. Or when I want to please you, in this case.
Let’s see if I can get it all summarized down here. FYI, I’m borrowing your assumption that Taylor was in on it the whole time. And Eleanor, too. Because I actually know of her existence now! Character discovery! Except they’re real people so I feel the need to point out that I’m making all the assumptions all over the place. I’m doing this for you, my dear Delaney.
Keep in mind that we all need character growths and personal developments when I make non-flattering assumptions toward your favorite people here, ok?
First up! HS & TL met in a toilet.
Now it’s debatable whether it was during an X-Factor audition or Battle of the Bands. For the sake’s of my next argument, I’m going with they knew each other before X-Factor. Likely during their time in White Eskimo and The Rogue, respectively. Their (unconfirmed?) first words to each other were ‘Oops!’ & ‘Hi’
Up next, the X-Factor audition and getting put together in a band.
So here is where I kind of needed my first assumption for this to work. Their chemistry was so obviously through the roof. It made so much sense if they were already sort-of friends and then got put together in a band. Plus, I don’t think the way Louis jumped into Harry’s arms is something a relative stranger would do. And if they only knew each other out of everyone there, it’s no wonder they were both so apparently clingy and codependent. It’s like a situation where both of them went ‘I have no idea what’s gonna happen next, but at least I know you and you know me. So we’re bestie now. No take back!”
And then there’re video diaries, twitter cams, radio interviews, and other broadcasting media they appeared in. These need no explanation because you’ve probably seen all of them and I have functioning ears and eyes. So, yes, I saw videos of them being all disgustingly cute all over the place. During the so-called ‘Fetus’ phase (a wording which I personally find rather disturbing, no offense to your anatomy textbooks or anything.) They’re so sweet. Especially whenever there’s a mention of how they moved in and lived together. Their interactions must’ve been responsible for so many tooth cavities. So many aww-worthy moments. On stage, on screen, behind the scenes, potato cams. Basically everywhere in front of everyone.
Then 1D blew up and were well on their way to become their label’s biggest and brightest BCG-metrix star. It’s not hard to see why investors’d be invested (lol) in employing every marketing strategy possible to keep 1D in the spotlight.
There’s a twofold marketing exploitation to Larry Stylinson that I see from miles away.
Hard sell the heteronormative version of the boys. (To capture major market shares)
Never had Harry or Louis explicitly confirm nor deny their relationship status. (To capture additional market shares with queerbaiting)
But let’s say Harry and Louis were actually together and making 1) too difficult to achieve. Otherwise this whole thing falls apart like a wet house of cards.
Thus, here came what I’d like to call ‘dousing a fire with gasoline’. This is where there’s a sudden drop of their interactions in public and Larry Stylinson isn’t a cutesy smashup name of two boys who got along like a house on fire anymore. This is the part where a ship turned into a full fledged conspiracy theory. And it’s MEGA COOL WICKED awesome.
I say this in the nicest way possible. A tragedy is the grandest form of entertainments. Misery loves having friends.
Also, I’d like to say this. I’m having fun thinking of this as a fictional arc. Because I still feel like it will shatter my heart in to a million pieces if anything resembling what I write next was true.
Since breaking into US market was the Kickstarter into a global one, to the US 1D went.
This was where the heavy closeting got way more difficult to handle. Elounor had the excuse of Eleanor being a private citizen and therefore should be left alone for the most part. Haylor was the complete opposite. Taylor Swift was and still is an American Sweetheart. Harry Styles might have been the most famous British Harry if it weren’t for a (former?) prince and a wizard. (Seriously, we should not call any of our hypothetical future children ‘Harry’ unless you thought ‘Albus Severus Potter’ was a good idea. Poor kiddo.)
The saddest part about Harry Styles public image was how reminiscent of Emma Watson it felt. The minute they turned eighteen, their media portrayals immediately became hyper-sexualized. Suddenly, they left the human zoo into an open hunting game. Famous lives are terrifying.
Anyhow, say, Taylor Swift knew what the US music industry was like. She’s been playing the long game for quite some time. She got to know Harry and then became rather protective of him. Her conclusion was that ‘hyping up Haylor’ would: 1) increase media exposure for both Taylor and 1D which would translate to bigger channels of revenue for all involved, 2) hold the speculation about Harry’s sexual orientation at bay because, as horrible as it sounds, gays don’t sell in America.
This one fit nicely with your ‘Out of the Woods’ interpretation. Taylor wasn’t just spending time with Harry. She was actively enforcing the lock on the closet. Which explains why Louis seemed to resent Taylor quite obviously and quite a lot. His own heteronormative scripts with Eleanor had been relatively tame. Harry’s whirlwind series of romances in public had only just begun.
As Harry started gaining a womanizer reputation in earnest, so did the Almost-Subtle Couple Tattoo Sprees.
If ‘Always in my heart @Harry_Styles . Yours sincerely, Louis’ tweet was a sign that circumstances were about to go south for them. The tattoos were signs that the circumstances had already gone to shit. The tragic package had been shipped, signed, and delivered.
This is where non-flattering assumptions rise to the surface. I think 1D had been overworked past the point of exhaustion. Self-destruction as a coping mechanism became rather prevalent and pervasive within the band. The boys gleefully collected regrets as a new favorite pastime, some more than others. Consequences were nipping at their heels.
Then Zayn left right in the middle of a world tour and all hell broke loose.
Here comes the biggest Assumption Affair!
Louis and Liam, the last to release their solo debut albums, were the most prominent songwriters for the band. I’m not going to go on about Liam because I’m here to give you Larry Stylinson. And this is already way too long as it is. But, needless to say, the first discussion of a prospective solo career probably hit them the hardest.
If each song they wrote was a battle scar, Louis was still bleeding for the band when Harry, of all people, brought up the idea of a hiatus and solo careers. Realizing how many songs Harry already had waiting in the back catalogue must’ve felt like a slap in the face. Or a punch in the gut. Whichever you think is worse/more dramatic. I’m not picky.
Remember self-destruction as coping mechanism? What about relationship-destruction as coping mechanism? Louis cheated and had a baby with someone else. Infidelity at its finest.
ALERT! THIS IS A NEON SIGN OF ASSUMPTION AFFAIR! Please don’t kill me. I told you I was gonna make unflattering assumptions toward your favorite people. I just did as I promised!!! *run for cover*
Anyway...
I’m gonna take you back a little. I mentioned earlier how Eleanor was a private citizen and therefore should be left alone. At times when Louis desperately needed to be left alone, Elounor makes so much sense. If she’s a PR-only girlfriend, she’s a stellar employee. If it’s not just a PR thing, she’s as forgiving as a saint. Just, if it’s Harry and Louis, they likely both messed up and hurt each other badly. If it’s Louis and Eleanor,... I mean... Have you seen a meme where you misspell a word so badly that the autocorrect goes, ‘I don’t know what to tell you, man’?... Louis would be that misspelled word and Eleanor would be the very best autocorrect that practically brute force through every word in the Oxford AND Urban dictionary to find out what that word was. If that’s who she is, then bless her soul. However, for the sake of this argument, we will proceed with the assumption that she’s the star employee of the decade.
Losing loved ones and grieving for them are inevitable parts of human lives. Nothing put more things into perspectives than losing someone so fundamentally dear to you. When I heard Louis Tomlinson’s ‘Two of Us’ for the first time, I remembered walking through an actual forest my grandpa planted for us because he wanted to make sure his great grandkids would have a nice home to grow up in. Do you remember when you called and told me that he died the night I got on my first solo international flight ten months after the fact? I wanted to hate you for keeping something this big a secret from me. I wanted to hate everybody at home for that. But then you told me that it was what my grandpa had wanted. That he didn’t want me to be a sad sack of an exchange student. That you decided to not listen to my parents and call to tell me just before I was due home. So that I’d have time to feel hurt about being lied to. So that I could get all the angry words out. So that I wouldn’t scream at my parents when I got home and learnt the truth. So that you could take the brunt of my grief instead.
I just took a break to have a little cry. Where was I? Oh, yeah. You did the best you could for me when I lost my grandpa. I still managed to effectively shut you out for months. Just because you were the messenger of the bad news. What I’m trying to say is that grief changes people. It changed me. For the worst for a bit. And then for the better once I came to term with what it means to me. There’s a quote from Rosamund Lupton that sums it up neatly.
“Grief is love turned into an eternal missing.”
I guess this is the part where I connected the dots back to Harry and Louis. Well, their music definitely give grief different names. Both albums talk about coming to term with it and moving forward. Every songs they wrote could be woven to fit the narrative of Larry Stylinson and events surrounding them. If you buy the theory, then the good news is both Fine Line & Walls seemed to have a positive ending. One thing I know for sure, though, is that no matter how convincing a conspiracy theory maybe, it could all be built upon a faulty assumption. I’d probably have a way easier time disregarding Elouner if I didn’t have you as a solid proof in my life that, yes, people like the best autocorrect exists. It’s funny how I feel no hesitation at all in categorizing Haylor as a calculated move. Because in my head that’s just par for the course in business. And it genuinely terrifies me in a way. Who the hell I could’ve become if it weren’t for you knocking me off the ground and pouring kindness on me.
I know I skipped a lot of stuff. Missing names like Caroline, Danielle, Kendall, Freddie, Camille, Xander, etc. But HS and LT have a decade of history on public record and, frankly, my interest ran out four paragraphs ago. So just let me conclude this.
I think it’s tiring, spending this much time speculating on someone else’s relationship history. I must admit that I had to get it out of my chest because it was way too interesting to let go off. But now, I feel like I’m just going to stream Heartbreak Weather and listen to ‘No Judgement’ on repeat. Nile is my favorite non-problematic celebrity. I could spell his name so wrong and it probably won’t be an issue as long as I politely say, “Sorry, Mr Niall Horan”
This quarantine clearly leaves me with too much time on my hands.
Virtual hugs and kisses
Your Incredible Sasha 😘

INTERVIEW OF UEDA KEISUKE AND TANIYAMA KISHOU TRANSLATION
This interview from Bs-Log Magazine about 『pet』 anime, where starred by the two of them.  I just translate the part where they feel about each other, fyi my mother language is not english and japanese.
so here it is!
Impression from both Ueda and Taniyama
---- You both are the first co-star in “PET”, how do you feel about each other?
Ueda: For me, Kishou san is a person who are loved and well known for a long time before we meet.
Taniyama: Is that so? (LOL). I feel like a great veteran.
Ueda: “Ahh.. it’s Kishou-san’s voice”, sometimes i hear it from iPod at random (LOL). At a stage version of a certain work, I plays a role that voiced by Kishou san and gives him a life.
Taniyama: There’s a connection between us
Ueda: Yes, truly a connection,  I allowed to play the role that voiced by Kishou san so many times, and I love the music of GRANRODEO, where Kishou san is the vocalist
Taniyama: Really?? Thank you, please come to the live!
Ueda: I want to come!! That’s why i really see Kishou san as a great person. And he is very kind and friendly person. And when we first met at “Pet” production announcement, he said “yoroshiku” and gave me a handshake. It was a feeling of thank you, as it was "Taniyama Kishou san" that I imagined.
Tumblr media
----what about Taniyama san impression about Ueda san?
Taniyama: He looks like friendly and pretty look (notes:he said kawaii), how do you look at him you will know that he probably give his full best. (LOL). Especially in a place as senpai senior something. If you the senior said being popular by the junior, maybe you will know it..

sorry this post is late my internet went down at the worse possible time
We open up with Giran and Re-Destro as he explains the reasoning behind chosing deika city ,basically boiling down to being  small and out of the way therefore not drawing unwanted attention especially as we see they`ve barricaded the city off stopping anyone interrupting there battle royale.
Tumblr media
What I love about this next panel is it show`s all the basic aspect`s of  Destro`s personality  being analytical ,to death note level`s of extreme, highly confident and slightly condescending/sarcastic as he compares the league without nomu`s to "a bunch of delinquents"
Tumblr media
We then move back to the fight on the ground with the league of villains fighting the liberation army and as spinner state`s these aren't ordinary mook`s they`ve spent every day training diligently forging there body and souls which could just be a reference to preparing for this day or something a lot darker.
Tumblr media
We also get a pretty cool panel with the league as they fight off this endless swarm of enemies that remind`s me of the fight in avenger`s and there`s so much going on it`s impossible to discern each of the individual sequences going on all i know is that it`s going to look awesome animated. though something I`ve seen people on reddit talk about is how shigaraki`s plan wont work as gigantomachia will just attack him which is honestly ridiculous  the MLA won`t stand around as this behemoth smashes there city and gigantomachia won`t stand around as he`s being attacked by all these people.
Tumblr media
But let`s move away from the sideshow and onto the main event!          Something I find clever is horikoshi using a reporter to delve deeper into Himiko`s almost like a documentary for us the readers, the fact that Kizuki previously interviewed toga`s parents also helps add a connection and makes it more then just your default girl v girl fight.
Tumblr media
Toga shows no mercy as she goes straight for the kill against Bag Boy Barry , that's my name for him fyi, and demonstrates some of her horror movie skill`s vanishing In a instant and going after Kizuki unfortunately she gets cucked and it`s here that we learn the specifics of Kizuki`s  quirk
Tumblr media
While I`ve seen people compare it to kira`s Killer Queen I see more of a connection with gambit both having black sclera and possible purple pupils?       as well as explosive power`s.  I like the small touch of her quirk being based on the message of being stronger together pretty cool.
Tumblr media
We see how smart Kizuki is as she`s turned her follower`s into bomb`s in order to counter Toga and the obvious connection between this and suicide bombers not only show`s the lengths that the meta liberation army is willing to go to but the fanatical devotion that there follower`s have for the group.
Tumblr media
it also make`s this panel with kizuki almost tenderly caressing her follower`s head screwed up. as they almost lovingly embrace being a sacrifice for the new world.
Tumblr media
Something that sticks out to me in this panel is that Kizuki call`s Himiko the eldest daughter of the Toga family so obviously she has sibling`s yet she then goes on to ask if she saw the interview with her parent`s while it could just be my translation it does seem weird that she doesn't say family it seems rather ominous.(my little word of the day) though she never state`s toga actually killing anyone when referring to her interview she could of just ran away.
Tumblr media
we then get a small flashback of a younger Kizuki talking to Re-destro who`s giving her some advice she seem`s to have taken to heart and I enjoy how it show`s these two as more then just radicals it`s a small detail that humanises them. however this isn`t the only flashback as we move onto Toga`s
Tumblr media
the obvious metaphor of wearing a mask around people isn't lost on me so from that you could say that toga was trying to hide her tendencies as to not be judged for them shown in her introduction panal as she complains about life being hard. something to note is that the mask appears to crack at the sight of this deku look alike beaten and bloody.
Tumblr media
Obviously she has a thing for beaten and bloody people DONT KINK SHAME!! ;) as shown with her love for deku and stain, something seemingly triggered by the boy in her flashback It`s can`t be deku despite obviously looking like him, after all his ties straight
Tumblr media
as well as the fact that when she first see`s deku nothing alludes to her prior knowledge of him further then a  name on a kill list and it`s not like it`d be odd for Toga to recognize him from the sport`s festival if that`s what horikoshi was going for.
Tumblr media
My personal headcannon is that Toga mentally photoshop`s whoever she`s in love with over the the person in the flashback , being bloody and bruised being the trigger in a way and that she can no longer actually remember who it is in the flashback due to her own insanity.
Tumblr media
This panel raises some questions ,obviously you could simply say that she`s so insane that she believes the life she live`s with the leugue is normal however when you take into account this panal which is most likely her first kill due to the metaphor of her mask,or sanity, breaking.
Tumblr media
As well as having a weird thing for bloody and bruised people such as the boy in her flashback coupled with the fact she`s wearing the same uniform this is most likely before she ran away and he was her first victim.
Tumblr media
Here Toga state`s it clear as day that she literally want`s to become the person she love`s coupled with the fact that kizuki doesn't acknowledge toga killing anyone before she ran away it`s not out of the realm of possibility that the `normal life` she leads is in fact as her first crush. a doppelganger of sort`s and that`s what i believe will be the big reveal in chapter 226 or 227

Several months ago someone asked what I thought about the Warlord system in One Piece and how Oda integrated it into the story as a whole. The short answer was that I thought it’s been pretty fantastic thus far, but it’s something that I’ve had in the back of my mind for a while now and I’d like to expand on my reasoning a bit.
I know I’m in the minority on this, but as a general FYI I will be using the English translations for all titles and epithets. I have a difficult enough time with spelling as it is and don’t really see the appeal of using Japanese when there’s a perfectly serviceable translation available.
So without further ado, let’s talk about Warlords.
Tumblr media
In Service of World Building
As many already know, when Eiichiro Oda conceptualized One Piece the series was only supposed to last for five years. It seems silly to think that now, but when you look back and see how quickly Oda breezed through the East Bue arcs it almost seems as if that original estimate was possible.
What you may not know is that according to an interview in the 23rd log book, Oda came up with the idea for the Seven Warlords of the Sea after the Four Emperors. And while I have no proof, I would go so far as to argue that the decision to make Mihawk a Warlord was a retroactive one, as the term “Seven Warlords of the Sea” wasn’t introduced until chapter 69 when Mihawk made his debut in chapter 49.
Chapter 69, incidentally, is also when we get our first hint of the Emperors, as they along with the World Government and Warlords make up the three great powers that rule the Grand Line.
Tumblr media
So the Warlords were a relatively late addition to the world of One Piece, though their role and place within the story come hundreds of chapters before the influence of the Emperors or the World Government is fleshed out. Credit goes to Oda for seamlessly integrating a new idea into his rapidly expanding story.
I’ll go into the importance of the Warlords from a narrative standpoint after a while, but first I want to point out that the Warlords make sense. Privateers were totally a thing during the Golden Age of Piracy and had a profound impact on real world politics. One Piece’s Warlord system is a broad reference to these privateers, but grounding the more fantastical elements in the series in something the audience can understand helps make the story feel real. Transforming the mundane into the fantastic is one of the hallmarks of a great fantasy series.
Even if the reader doesn’t have any foreknowledge of real world privateers, the in-universe logic pans out. It makes sense that the marines would be overwhelmed by the pirate boom caused by Roger’s death. It makes sense that the World Government would be willing to make deals with their sworn enemies to help stop the bleeding. It makes sense that selfish, amoral criminals would take advantage of the privileges offered to them by the World Government, or that less scrupulous individuals would seek out that power to further their own ends.
(Not a whole lot is known about the initiation of the Warlord system, but I work under the assumption that it’s a relatively new organization. As far as I’m aware Crocodile was one of the longest-tenured Warlords and joined in his mid-twenties, which matches up nicely with the beginning of the Great Pirate Age. If there’s evidence that suggests they’ve been around for longer I’d be happy to hear it.)
As for why Seven Warlords instead of five of ten or any other number, Oda himself is on the record for saying he thought it was cool, but in-universe it stands to reason that the marines and World Government wouldn’t want to give out too many pardons for fear of losing control over the Warlords (which ends up happening anyway, but we’ll get to that later) while still having enough of a force at their disposal to counter the Emperors if need be, as seen during Marineford.
All this to say that as a concept, the Warlords work. They serve a greater purpose within the world of One Piece than fodder for the Straw Hats to face. One of One Piece’s greatest strengths is that the characters always feel like they have lives outside of what we’re shown. Even minor antagonists like the Baroque Works agents are shown to have dreams outside of Crocodile’s ambition, while characters like Hancock and Jimbe have histories that go far beyond “allies of the Straw Hat Pirates”. We are only shown tiny slivers of these characters lives, but they are all unique with different motivations, dreams, and outlooks on life while all still being, ostensibly, pirates who have made themselves dogs of the Government.
A secondary effect is we get to see how other characters react to them and their actions, particularly the marines and World Government.
Tumblr media
Smoker says it best. The Warlords hit this weird middle ground between the Justice spouted by the marines and the Freedom the Straw Hats pursue, and in doing so reveal the corruption within the World Government and show what the Straw Hats might become should they falter in their journey.
The Warlord-World Government relationship is especially interesting. Before the Alabasta saga we had seen small-time corruption by Morgan and Nezumi, but the cover up surrounding Crocodile’s defeat goes all the way to the top. It’s the first time we see different factions within the marines and really the first time we see how awful the World Government can be.
What’s special is the entire interaction doesn’t involve the Straw Hats at all. It’s an interaction between Smoker and his superiors in reaction to what happened with Crocodile. There are’t a lot of series that can have this type of development separate from their main protagonists, but it’s another one of those things that makes the world of One Piece feel bigger than just the Straw Hat Pirates.
Service of the Straw Hats
While the Warlords are an interesting bunch with enough personality to carry the manga by themselves, their existence would be meaningless if they didn’t interact with the Straw Hats in some way shape or form. It is entirely possible to cut the Warlord system from the story with minimal interruption to the overarching plot. At the same time, you don’t introduce a powerful group and then not have them all show up. The moment Yosaku said there were seven Warlords Oda was basically forced to make sure they all appeared in some way, shape, or form (in the same interview that revealed that the Warlords were made up after the Emperors, Oda laments not lowering the number to something more reasonable, like two).
In a lesser series, this would mean having the Straw Hats fight all seven, preferably in order of ascending difficulty. Luckily for us, One Piece is not one of those series and the Warlords turn out to be as unique and variable as the world they inhabit. Some have become Luffy’s mortal enemies, others allies, and hopefully one will someday join the crew (any day now, Oda). Alliances form, shift, and break as needed to further the plot, with a few good twists thrown in along the way.
I would say that the Warlords were at their most effective early in the series, when they were acting as gatekeepers to the rest of the world. Mihawk, even though he wasn’t confirmed to be a Warlord until twenty chapters after his introduction, was the reader’s first glimpse into the power scaling of the series. The first thing we knew about him was he was the World’s Greatest Swordsman and could destroy fifty ships without breaking a sweat. Luffy and Zoro had their badass moments early on, but nothing they had done was even remotely close to what Mihawk was capable of with a knife and an afternoon to kill.
Crocodile, on the other hand, opened the reader up to the political side of One Piece. We met princesses and kings, and the fate of an entire nation depended on whether or not Luffy could overcome one of the scariest Devil Fruits of the series to date. We got a greater look into the marines and the World Government, learned of weapons capable of taking over the world, and saw the first hint of an ancient conspiracy that remains a mystery even to this day.
The Warlords of the Sea opened up the world of One Piece in a way almost nothing else could, while also fleshing it out and giving Oda a lot of freedom to maneuver. An example of this would be Thriller Bark, which might not be the most consequential arc in the series, but One Piece needed a little bit of levity between the whirlwind of Enies Lobby and the massive shakeup that would be Marineford.
The fact that the Warlords tend to represent different factions doesn’t hurt. Crocodile and Moriah are silver medalists in the Great Pirate Age, Doflamingo was a Celestial Dragon and king, Hancock a literal empress of her island and former slave, Jimbe one of the first examples of the power of allies on the highest level, and Kuma was a Revolutionary. Mihawk is the outlier here, but even he shows what the pinnacle of swordsmanship looks like in the One Piece world.
And since Oda doesn’t have a habit of killing off his antagonists we get to see the Warlords themselves receive development and play major roles in the story long after their arcs are complete. Jimbe is perhaps the greatest example of how perspectives can change over the course of the series. He was name-dropped during the Arlong arc as a probable antagonists, introduced as a defector of the Warlord system due to his loyalty to Whitebeard, only to become one of Luffy’s greatest and most powerful allies in the New World and likely tenth member of his crew.
A Crumbling System
By now you’ll probably have noticed that I’m referring exclusively to the original Seven Warlords, and there’s a reason for that. Things get complicated after Crocodile’s scheming gets him kicked out of the group. Blackbeard, Law, and Doflamingo follow in his footsteps as explicitly using their position to further their own goals. Jimbe quits. Hancock keeps her position while secretly allying with Luffy, Kuma was revealed to be a double agent until the loss of his free will. Moriah is double-crossed for being old and washed up, and Mihawk doesn’t even care.
By the time skip rolls around the mystique surrounding the Warlords had vanished, and I think Buggy’s inclusion into their ranks was the final indication that, no, we’re not meant to take them seriously anymore. And why should we? The Straw Hats have graduated from surpassing Warlords to surpassing Emperors, and the series focus has shifted from a devil-may-care attitude regarding the politics of the world to an arms race of gathering allies and picking the right moment to start fights with major players.
The people within the system are still a force to be reckoned with. Despite being fought after the time skip, Doflamingo was a beast in battle. But the system itself is shown to be broken beyond repair. The Straw Hats--and the series--has outgrown them.
Which was why I was super pleased with the ending of the Dressrosa Arc.
Tumblr media
By all accounts the Warlord system shouldn’t exist anymore. The ridiculousness that they’ve gotten away with is absolutely staggering, and because of Luffy’s meddling it’s all starting to come to the surface. The World Government, even if they started the system with the best of intentions shouldn’t tolerate their presence any longer.
Issho and Smoker working together to bring down the system while Sakazuki butts head with the World Government makes for excellent drama and probably the only way to keep the Warlords interesting in the manga’s current state. It’s another way Oda’s evolving narrative, and I look forward to see where it goes from here.
But that’s just my take. I’d be happy to hear what y’all think, or if there are any topics you’d like me to write on next. It’s been a while since I’ve done any major One Piece analysis, and it was really fun digging back into the nitty gritty of the series.

My BTS Concert Experiences!!🎇🎆
Hello fellow readers! I just wanted to shared my concert experiences as well as my favorite highlights of the night. I ended up going to both Chicago concerts (Oct. 02/03) and let me just say... IT WAS LIT!!! The boys really put on a show and all their hard work definitely was shown. FYI: This post will be LONG so I will install a ‘keep reading’ tab.
But anyways, let me start off saying how I was a nervous wreck knowing I was going both days because I didn’t know what to expect. This was my first BTS concert and I’ve been dying (not literally lol) to see them since 2015. I pretty much followed other people’s experiences from earlier tour dates and went off that and honestly, it didn’t help. It ended up kicking my anxiety into overdrive because lot of people were talking about post concert depression lol. In my mind, I was thinking, “holy shit! If they are THAT good live, would I even be able to walk out of the arena with a sane mind?!” To put it short, I was spooked. Even as I type this out, my hands are shaking lol. Oh! and excuse my crappy video footage, I was kinda zoned out watching them, people were knocking into me, and I was low key dancing lol
October 2nd...
-The Merchandise-
Thanks to my bf (you know who you are HOE!!!😂😂), she had bought us both tickets for this day as a birthday present to me. Since she bought tickets, I felt the least I could do was buy us merch. So I arrived that morning at the venue only to find the line for merchandise wrapped around two corners. So I began the dreadful task of waiting in line. Thankfully, I met two other girls who I quickly connected with and made the process, somehow, quicker. The line moved faster then I thought but as we gotten closer, we noticed items were selling out due to people buying bags of shit! The ‘Love Yourself’ shirts, both white and black, were the first to sell out. I was in shock because that was the shirt I was getting us so I had to call her up and decide on either another shirt or another item. Thankfully, none of the other merch I wanted sold out so I was able to purchase what we wanted without any problems. So in total, I was in line at 9:40 and didn’t leave until 12:50. My advice to anyone trying to get merch for a concert... order online! I believe it’s more convenient, especially if you may not have the time to wait in line. Preordering or ordering ahead of time is definitely less stressful.
-The Concert-
After I left merch met up with my best friend and we went back to my place to get ready. Lol I’m gonna be honest and say that even though I was going to see BTS, the main highlight of the day was my blue hair. I had recently dyed it and was ready to show it off. Thanks to her, I ended up wearing a pink dress, my black leather jacket, and black Killstar ‘vendetta’ boots, which I bought specifically for the concert for the next day. We kept cracking jokes because it looked like I was dressed to “kick somebody’s ass” (her words not mines😂😂).
So we get to the arena, paid for parking, then waited in line, which was pretty short. Our seats were in section 103 and we had the perfect view of the stage and audience. While we waited in our seats, my best friend turns to me and suggests we get some drinks lol (Note: I’m starting to believe that is the norm when we go to concerts). Hell! I was down for drinking but then I remembered how I didn’t eat all day so I was worried about getting drunk especially since we were drinking Bacardi rum. It wasn’t that I intentionally didn’t eat, I was just too hyped to do so. BONUS!! We both thought I’d be the one to cry since I’m the bigger fan than she is but guess what? Yo gurl held strong!😆 In fact, SHE was the one who cried and I’m never letting her forget it. Lmao! Anyways we were drinking, cracking jokes, sitting back and looking pretty while waiting on the show to start. And when it did... when it did... it was a fucking PARTY!!!!
We stood the entire time, and I basically sang/screamed my heart out. Made sure to capture her on video while ‘Singularity’ played because that is her shit lol (Great job, Tae!😘). They performed Setlist A (I believe) which was LIT. We danced to every song. I REALLY loved the vcr footages as they changed for the next song. It was really unique and some were playful, sexy, and bold. But as the concert came to an end, each member said a solo goodbye. All of them were nice especially considering how they tried to speak English to the best of their ability. What they couldn’t say, they spoke in Korean and the translator did a great job relaying the message. The speech I remembered the most was Yoongi’s because I low key feel like he tried to go in on us. Like tried to straight clown us lol. Here’s what I mean...
Yoongi: “I have one question.”
Us: *screams* “yes” or “what”
Yoongi: “this is Chicago. The Windy City, right?”
At this point, I’m thinking what is he getting at?
Us: “Yes.”
Yoongi: “Then why is it so hot?”
...
...
...
My reaction:
Tumblr media
Anyways, It was so beautiful! Seeing all of the lights from the lightsticks and seeing people bond together; no wonder the boys get all teary eyed at each concert. It really is a beautiful sight. Later on, we left the arena at around 11:00, kinda danced to the street drummers before headed back to the car. As we drove away, I felt this overwhelming sense of calming sadness. You know, when you go out and have fun, literally the time of your life, you don’t want that feeling to end but you know it has to. It felt weird and we ended up having like this deep conversation, it was mostly me rambling lol.
October 3rd...
-Earlier in the day-
I woke up, quickly showered and got dressed because I knew I was going to be at the arena all day because I had GA standing...
Quick note, I did give my Uber driver a lesson on BTS and his reactions were priceless especially when I informed him of all their hard work and achievements. It was full of “shit!”’s And “aw damn!”’s Because he couldn’t believe it lol. The more I thought about it, the more I smiled to myself. I felt proud for stanning such an amazing group.😭😭
Anyways, I made it back up to the arena at around 9:40 and this time I had to stand in the GA line, which also wrapped around two corners. Fucking A!!!! It didn’t seem like it was that many people and I guess my number would be between 500-700 but I was hella wrong because I was number 1,019 in line by the time I got my wristband. Lmao! FUCK!
I was supposed to meet up with people I had met the previous day but didn’t and it was all good because I met people not only in line but also once I gotten my wristband. Shoutout to y’all! ✌🏾✌🏾
Crazy enough, there was someone in line who gave away two extra GA tickets for free! I should have taken it and gave it away to one of the girls I met who didn’t have a ticket. (My first regret of the day).
While waiting until lineup time, which was at 4, I hung out with two other girls who were really sweet and kind, SUPER funny, and multi fandom. They shared concert experiences and are even planning on traveling to New York for their final U.S tour date. If one of you see this post, HAVE FUN, GURLS! I HOPED Y’ALL TURNED THE FUCK UP!!! ✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾
The weather was beautiful. It was around 86/87 and the WIND WAS BLOWING! WHERE THE FUCK WHERE YOU, MIN YOONGI?! WAS IT STILL HOT THEN?! (Actually it was but at least we had a breeze, which technically was blowing everyone and everything away lmao.)
We even spotted video crew, interviewing fans about an upcoming “documentary”. 😏🤫 I have my own theory as to what this footage is going to be used for and I’m gonna wait until it drops to prove it. Word on the street, they were asking the arena staff members for more people to interview.😁
I met a lot of people and it brought me so much joy hearing how excited they were especially if it was their first time seeing them. I ended up waiting inside the arena while charging a friend’s phone and we heard BTS rehearsing! We assumed it was soundcheck but it wasn’t because the soundcheck line was still outside so that was a bonus. We even kept spotting BTS crew members walking in and out of the area where they were singing😫.
-The Concert-
When the time came, I had to get back in line in the order of the wristband to enter inside the arena. Idk if this applies at future concerts but if you get a large number, don’t assume you will get in line to enter the arena early. Security was strict to tell people to either get in their numerical spots or go to the end of the line. I was told this was because of the Wings Concert lineup was a mess last year so they’re trying to be fair and restore order. We lined up at about 4/4:30 but the doors didn’t open until 5:30 (at least for us, i think). We all tried to keep ourselves busy while we waited and everyone at least got some free shit in the process. Someone handed me Hoseok photo cards of him and his hands.😁
I had my boots in hand because I wasn’t gonna put those bad boys on and have my feet hurting all day (good thing too because I didn’t get into the arena until 6:40). In fact, I planned on putting them on just before going inside because I wanted to annoy security and set off the metal detectors like I did the previous day. It brought my trifling ass great joy watching three officers trying to figure out what it was until I told them it was the boots, thus them giving me the name “boots”. Lmao!
They scanned my ticket, gave me another wristband, and I entered into the arena listening to thousands of fans scream and cheer for our boys. It was really a sight. Turns out, despite my number being so high, I was still pretty close to the end of the stage. But the bad part was that, while standing there, my feet were starting to hurt. On top of that, people started fainting left and right and the concert didn’t even start. I was beginning to worry because being in GA isn’t ideal as people think. You are jam packed in a crowd. It’s hot, people are screaming, some are angry, you will get shoved and pushed around; all while trying to get closer to stage.
But once the lights went out and the opening started, everything turned around. Some of my time was spent trying to free up storage on my phone which I hated😤😤. My phone made my videos appear farther than what it actually was. Thanks Apple.
OH! Let me just warn you guys! Even though we watch them on our phones, televisions, and computers; nothing compares to seeing them up close and personal. I was shock to how close I was to them and couldn’t help up stare up at them with my mouth open. THEY ARE BREATHTAKING!! But the two members who really caught my eye were Namjoon and Hoseok! FUCK! They look 1000 times better in person. I couldn’t even think for a period of time. I kinda zoned out lol. Yoongi mostly stayed over by our side of the stage with his fine ass which was fine by me and Tae, Jungkook, Jimin and Jin!... my god! They all look so good!😩😩😩
You know, I’m not a fan of musicians jumping into the crowd of audience members. But after that night, I was counting on them to. Lmao! In fact, I’m disappointed that they didn’t.🤣😂🤣😂 jk... maybe😏
The boys performed effortlessly and PUT ON A SHOW (*hinting at all the other fan videos lol*). The solos, rap line, and vocal line performances were, hands down, memorable. I loved for Trivia: Love, Namjoon brought the other members back out to dance with him.😍😍 This time go round, they performed Setlist B! So you know what this means?! They performed bapsae and YALL KNOW I HAD TO GET IT ON VIDEO!!!!
And of course, the moment everyone dreaded... the ending.
*Sigh* it was an amazing experience overall and I was glad I was able to experience it. It gave me insight on what to do differently and plan for next time; and they did said that they would come back next year and I plan on holding them to that lol.
Message to the boys:
I want to say thank you. Thank you for being who you are and being open to sharing a part of your life with us. I know being an idol, especially international superstars, is difficult at times but you guys never complain. In fact, you push through and your determination is front and center. Even while you performed both days, I couldn’t help but take the time to look around at all the people you’ve brought together. People from all walks of life, different cultural backgrounds, people of different age groups; all brought together because of you. Together we are here to support you! “We are the same.” Thank you! And thank you for the experience! I am thankful and grateful I was able to see the love a group shares with their fandom. Keep up the great work and I look forward to your return and seeing you all again. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💜💜💜💜

Hi new fan here! I have seen there is a new book about hanyu yuzuru that has came out. How many books are there about him? What are the difference between them and What's your recommendations? I'm planning to buy them on amazon so i wanted your opinion. Hope it's not too much to ask for. I love your blog 💖
Hi there, yes there’s been a boom of Yuzu-related books and contents recently so I totally understand that it can be confusing.
[alert: everything below this line is purely my opinion and can be biased]
He has 3 autobiographies so far: Aoi Hono 1 (2012), Aoi Hono 2 (2016) and「夢を生きる」(’Living the Dream’) (2018) which was just out yesterday (I think this one also counts as autobiography). A sport journalist wrote a biography of Yuzu called ‘Yuzuru’s Method’. All four of them come with pretty photos of Yuzuru. @yuzusorbet made an amazing post with introduction and snippets of Aoi Hono 1, Aoi Hono 2, Yuzuru’s Method here, I found it very helpful when I was a new fan too.
I’ve finished the two Aoi Hono books, I have a copy of Yuzuru’s Method but haven’t finished it. imo, the structure of these 3 books are kinda the same, but Aoi Hono-s provide more details (2 books vs 1) and they are mostly Yuzuru’s answers and perception of how things happened in his life in a chronological order, while Yuzuru’s Method focuses more on the concept of ‘What made Yuzuru become a champion?’ and the journalist puts an emphasis on how he evolved each season (each chapter is about one of his senior season). Personally, I also like the two Aoi Hono the best out of all Yuzu books not only because they tell the story of Yuzuru’s life and his thoughts in great details but also because the royalties are donated to Ice Rink Sendai where he trained for so many years.
[update: for those who don’t understand Japanese, nonchan translated Aoi Hono 1 and you can ask her for it if you have the book, I’m translating Aoi Hono 2 so it’ll be ready some time soon, you can have it if you have a copy of the book.]
I haven’t had a chance to read「夢を生きる」yet, but I’ve seen several reviews about it from Japanese fans.  It covers 2015-2018 with interviews from Ice Jewels and interviews done specifically for this book. I’m quite sad that it doesn’t mention Pyeongchang at all (probably too close to printing date), but I heard that there are pretty photos in the book (they even have photos of him wearing hakama in there, the blue one from 2015 :>). I’m definitely gonna get myself a copy of it this month.
Yuzuru also published a Quote collection book and a Photobook under his name a while ago. @kaerb has been translating some of the quotes from the former book (quote + context) so you can take a look here.
Yuzuru has been mentioned in quite a few books, I don’t think I know all of them. But a lot of fans buy Team Brian 1 (2014) & Team Brian 2 (2017). I don’t have them yet so I’m not sure about how the books really are. But they definitely emphasize on Team Brian, Brian’s relationship with Yuna, Yuzu, Javi more than just Yuzu, so that’s something to keep in mind. The reception of the first book is very good, but doesn’t seem to be the case for the second one. Again, I haven’t read them so I can’t confirm how good/bad they are, but I do plan to get at least the first one and see.
If you also want to read more on Japanese figure skating and Yuzuru’s role in it, then there are two books that were just released a few months ago. One is called「日本フィギュアスケート 金メダルへの挑戦」(The Road to Olympic Gold) (2018), written by Noriko Shirota, mentions how Japanese figure skating evolved from Midori Ito, Arakawa, Mao,…. to Yuzuru. I don’t know much about this one but the reviews seem good. The other one is「羽生結弦は助走をしない」(2017). This is written on the same topic, with the emphasis on Yuzuru and takes other skaters in his generation into consideration more than the first one. Also, this is written by a figure skating enthusiast and strives to explain figure skating itself and why these skaters are great to those who are not fans or not familiar with skating. I’ve only started reading this recently, but I really like the casual voice of this author and how the book approaches skating quite logically and easy to understand. On the other hand, this one doesn’t come with any photos, it’s all plain text with a pretty Seimei-styled cover, just in case you’re wondering.
Several people have asked me about this recently-released book called 英語で読む羽生結弦 (Reading about Hanyu Yuzuru in English) (2018). This is a bi-lingual English-Japanese biography of Yuzuru. I was very excited about this book at first. I only got the chance to take a brief look at it at the bookstore, but my impression was that it’s kinda similar to Aoi Hono, like a shortened version, with explanations of figure skating terms and also a list of his achievements. Friends and Japanese fans reviewed that the English translation was not really good and the book explained some of the skating terms incorrectly, so I wouldn’t really recommend this book tbh.
Ahhh, it’s become a long answer again :))) I hope I didn’t miss any good books. If I did or if others recommend to add some more good titles, I will edit the original post. I’m aware that Yuzu did a lot of interviews on Ice Jewels and mooks (don’t know if you’re interested in them or not) but I don’t have any knowledge on magazine-related or mook-related contents so I can’t really recommend anything :”>
FYI: Since you ask about buying books, I’m assuming that you’re quite comfortable reading Japanese texts. But even if you don’t, it’s still a good opportunity to practice. I never had enough motivation to read books in Japanese until I started with Aoi Hono tbh XD So if anyone wants to challenge yourself reading this and is curious how hard the text is, you can DM me and I’ll send you a scan of the first 2-3 pages so you can estimate before buying. I have 4 books so far and the scale of difficulty for me is:
羽生結弦は助走をしない
Anw, have fun and enjoy reading :D Just ask if you have any other questions :>

Ready To Wear, Ready To Play
As previously noted, there’s been yet another change in direction for the Attract Mode blog… which I have dubbed Version 2.8 Final CE EX Λ Core Plus Alpha. BTW/FYI. But yeah, been posting on Twitter, a lot. So much so that you may have missed something, so here’s a recap!
Note: was originally going to cover everything tweeted throughout the month, but because there’s so much to cover (and February’s short)… am guessing bi-weekly might be the way to go. Am also going to present things mostly in order.
K, enough chatter: at the very top is another fine example of a Famicom being the ultimate in fashion accessory (via nintendu). And here we have, not designer threads but designer plastic (via gamefreaksnz)...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Speaking of plastic, Sega (or someone who got Sega’s blessing, or maybe not even) made Super Monkey Ball figures? Guess so (via magimacaque)...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was under the belief that, if I truly wanted to make an impact with the relaunch of the Attract Mode Twitter, I couldn’t just post one single piece of Klonoa fan art, but two...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I only have one example of Cuphead fan art, but it’s the one that counts (via jothelion)...
Tumblr media
It was Kyle who helped kick the Attract Mode Twitter’s rebirth into high gear, with the reveal of his Nintendo Power covers. So to help replay the favor, I must insistent that everyone purchase the hard copy of RPG_Friends (which I first mentioned here)...
Tumblr media
Nothing makes me happier than seeing such a dense assortment of Japanese game stuffs (via peazy86)...

I'm not trying to be rude or come up as passive aggressive but reading your blog in the past dea weeks made me wonder, have you ever tried to talk to an African American (or black person in general maybe not from the US) and see their point of view on some of the questions you raise at your blog? It just feel like you movk Americans while a conversation with them might not change your mind but could at least open you up to different possibilities.
... er, anon, no offense taken, but:
‘have you ever tried to talk to a black person in general’ man uuuhm I... uh... I teach the language to *migrants and refugees* I’ve spoken to more black people from various African countries than to white people in general for the entire previous year ^^’’’’’ like I speak to at least fifteen black people daily for four days each week and occasionally some of these topics come up and I 100% assure you I never heard tumblr rhetoric come from any of them?
also last year I was giving italian extra tutoring to american students some of which were black and sometimes some hot topics were discussed and I’ve never heard tumblr rhetoric from any of them either?
at least when it comes to the infamous HAIR question that everyone comes back to: my best friend from high school has an angolan adopted brother (who arrived in italy after the civil war in angola) and had like blood relatives in italy and so they all were in contact and like, uhm, given that they regularly made dreads for my friend who had the hair for it offering her to because she would look good in them I can assure you that at least when it comes to that question everyone I ever discussed it with didn’t give two fucks about white people and dreads. also er uhm I went to elementary school in an area which was filled with immigrants back in the day, half of my class was *poc*, including black people from africa/brazil and like everyone.. brought stuff from home to share or taught others something in their language and the likes I mean the concept of **cultural appropriation** the way it is on tumblr didn’t even exist back in the day and I don’t live in a bubble where *pocs* don’t exist ^^’’’’
I follow a bunch of social justice critical blogs full of black american mods who don’t agree with 90% of the tumblr rheroric in that sense and aren’t right wingers
I also follow a lot of people I know aren’t white and they don’t disagree with me on a lot of things (k not all american but... XD)
I’ve had anons from people who said they were african americans and agreed with me or at least said tumblr rhetoric was ridiculous
I’ve never once in my life said that if you’re black in the US you don’t face any issues and tbh if someone black comes to me and says ‘fuck anne frank you only care about the holocaust bc it was white people and not about slavery’ (never mind that I care about both) I’d have no issues telling them to shut up because whatever your problems are oppression olympics when it comes to the holocaust are 100% tasteless
most africans I’ve ever met think that their culture and black american culture have little in common so like if I ask them stuff about the *american* questions I talk about on here they’d probably go like ‘wtf is the problem at me’
(ps: we had a huge school party with the association I work with and there were a bunch of african women twerking, some of the white girls working at the association joined and everyone was like AH YES PLEASE COME ALONG and at the end they were inviting others to come up on stage and dance with them so I think their stance on idk twerking isn’t the same as tumblr’s)
like I don’t want to sound like I know everything because I don’t, I only speak about things that from my perspective seem ridiculous (the hair or complaining that paris gets terrorist attacks and we don’t care about hoax gunners in an american university no one here knows about) (and I’ve seen a bunch of AA people who agree about that btw) and I absolutely am NOT saying black people don’t face issue in the US (like I mean the first time I learned that police brutality in the US was a thing I was twelve, it was because springsteen and fyi I have the lyrics to his song about police brutality with a translation I made myself when I was thirteen attached to my door and when I found out I spent a week with my parents wishing I never knew about police brutality in the US because it was everything I talked about and I read the shit out of what I could find on the subject, OBVIOUSLY I don’t know anything in person and I don’t know how it feels personally but I’d never go around and say it doesn’t exist and guess why have you ever seen me saying black people don’t have a right to protest it? XD) and I try to stay in my lane in that sense and about things I’m not 100% sure I have an opinion about [as the hair thing] but like... I mean... I don’t leave in a bubble? I mean idg where you get the impression I don’t talk to black people or I don’t read interviews with black people or I don’t give a fuck about their point of view? I inform myself before talking xDD also I follow an american black youtuber who lives in italy who has made multiple videos talking about difference between how you live as a black person in the US and in Italy and who gave me a bunch of stuff to think about but who also basically says what *everyone* italian on tumblr says when it comes to how it works in this country if you’re black *shrug* I mean obv that doesn’t mean I know more african americans than average but like idg where you assume I don’t listen to the other side of the barricade or that I only talk to white people. because I don’t. XD
tldr: I talk to plenty black non-American people and I do occasionally speak to black American people yes and I try to keep myself open minded on a general basis and I’ll listen to anyone if they want to talk and explain things to me if I can’t understand it. like I enjoy listening to different point of views, that’s how you learn things..? but... yeah. uhm. to answer you: yes I actually do talk to non-white people. on a daily basis. XD

"Shin Sakura Taisen Rekidai Kayoushuu" Review (Final Part)
Pave way for the old guards! The final three songs of the 6-Disc Limited Edition "Shin Sakura Taisen Rekidai Kayoushuu" were a blend of past and present.
But before I proceed to talk about them, I would like to share the background of the game first. I've been reading up some articles surrounding the game recently, and have learned about details and plot points that ventured into SPOILER territory (including those of past titles). Of course, if you're already well informed about it (unlike yours truly), then please skip ahead to the songs. You can also just stop right here and walk away if you feel like waiting until the game's international release to find it out fresh.
"Shin Sakura Taisen" is both a sequel and also a soft reboot for the franchise. The other day, I wondered about one important thing: What happened to the Teito, Paris, and New York Original members? Well, their fate had actually been revealed. And it's a depressing, albeit convenient one that serves as the baseline of the new generation. During a "Great Demon War" supposedly in 1930 (or sometime in the 12 years that had passed since "Sakura Taisen V"), they sacrificed themselves and had gone missing ever since. Heartbreaking, isn't it? Hence why everything started in a clean slate, and new cities began building their units (Berlin, Shanghai, London, and Moscow so far) following the formation of the "WLOF" (World Luxuriant Opera Federation). Teikoku Kagekidan itself is in a state of shambles, on the brink of shutting down. Yang Xiao Long and Huang Yui of Shanghai Kagekidan were assigned to protect Tokyo in their place. Sakura Amamiya's dream is to bring back her beloved Hanagumi to its former glory and honor. Seijuurou Kamiyama is enlisted to lead as captain because, in spite of Sakura's noble goal, the team is losing motivation by and by.
Just to clear things up again: I haven't played the game. Probably won't until its international release sometime next year (Spring 2020 is my best bet). So I don't know how that whole premise will evolve and how it opens the path for the future. It does seem that there will be a continuation of some sort, after learning how the game ends (which is unsurprisingly a callback to previous games). Are the past members truly gone, or are they trapped in some kind of parallel world? Will the story revolves around or explore their absence eventually? I'm sure this is a lingering question that long-time fans would have. The fact that two important original cast members are here, might suggest that route. But that is merely pure speculation on my part. At the very least, for the time being, we get to hear some familiar voices.
Kuruisake Teito ni (Disorder to Teito) by. Yasha (Chisa Yokoyama)
In the previous review, I compared New Sakura's image song to Original Sakura. Well, there's a good reason for that, to the point that I really can't help it. Sakura Shinguuji's Chisa Yokoyama is also part of the cast. Aside from being a figure that encouraged Sakura Amamiya to pursue her goal (apparently, Shinguuji rescued and thus inspired little Amamiya), she is also some kind of her archenemy in this game, in the form of an enigmatic antagonist named Yasha. Now, popular opinion (including yours truly) suggests that this is Sakura Shinguuji who had fallen to the dark side. For those who had not seen or knew about "Sakura Taisen", the Shinguuji bloodline had this scary "curse" called the "Haja no Chikara". And later in "Sakura Taisen 2", Sakura's father Kazuma Shinguuji, who had sacrificed himself many years prior, made an antagonistic return as a "Black Demon Society" leader named "Oni-Ou". Who's to say that his daughter wouldn't suffer the same fate, right? There was never a guarantee that Sakura Shinguuji couldn't fall into that scenario. Even Ayame Fujieda, the Vice Commander of the original Hanagumi was corrupted into a villainess Aya-me. As with most popular Hollywood reboots, there's a chance that SEGA is pulling off the same twist, right? On the other hand, the fact that SEGA wasn't even trying to conceal Yasha's VA identity from the get-go, implicitly hinted that that's not the case. However, there's another interesting tidbit to make this even more puzzling. Turns out, Yokoyama initially turned down the offer to play Yasha! Famitsu published a special interview (you can read a translated version on DualShockers) with her and Michie Tomizawa about their roles in this game. Yokoyama's argument was clear and obvious: "...it’s a mystery whether Yasha is supposed to be Sakura Shinguuji or not... The problem was, if Sakura really is Yasha, then I must voice her. However, if they aren’t the same person, then I shouldn’t be needed and they should pick someone else. Because Yasha’s identity wasn’t clear, I ended up declining the role." Somehow, she started giving feedbacks that shaped Yasha into a better version, eventually leading her to agree for the role. I'm not suggesting that this adds more confirmation to the fan theory. But personally, it does give some kind of hope that the original Hanagumi members are still alive, somehow. On to the song! There's not much to say about it, to be honest. It's a very musical villain song, with lyrics that are pretty generic when it comes to... uhmm, being evil. There's even a line saying that Yasha's goal is to let the dark flowers bloom in Tokyo, highly likely teasing more about the mystery surrounding her identity. Fans of the live musicals shouldn't be surprised by this kind of tune as well. Many of the shows featured a devilish tune or two, either performed by one of the Hanagumi members as part of their plays, or by a secondary character. But there's one fact that elevated this song on an entirely different level. I've come to realize that this is, in fact, the first time in the franchise that a game soundtrack included an antagonist solo! "Sakura Taisen 3" actually had "Ciseaux's Theme". But just like Erica Fontaine's famous "Ohayou Bonjour" jingle, it was never a part of the official album and was released later on the Complete Song Box. Chisa Yokoyama has range, as proven by many of her Sakura Taisen repertoires. As part of the plays, she got to sing melodies of a princess, a pig demon, a mystical bird of happiness, up to a fiery rebel. But as Sakura Shinguuji, her tunes were mostly sweet and cheery, a hit or miss for me. Therefore, it delighted me so so very much that she finally got to sound dark and chilling, and did an exceptionally powerful work with this. Most definitely one of the highlights of the album. You could easily sense a sinister and eerie feeling throughout the song. And I actually sighed a relief when it ended. Not because it's bad, but because it felt like I had been engulfed in a shroud of darkness, trying to claw my way out gasping for air, and that I could finally see the light again. Hold on, is that representative of who Yasha is too? Well, we'll just have to wait and see...
RURIRURAN Ginza Roman (Ruriruran Romance of Ginza) by. Itsuki Saijou (Mayu Yoshioka)
I'm going to say it out loud. I do NOT like this song. And it's my least favorite of the album. If I'm not mistaken, as a supporting character, Itsuki Saijou is a self-proclaimed number one fan of the Teigeki? So basically, she's the young female version of Shintarou Sonooka's Kousuke Dan/ Dandy Boss (FYI, he's still performing Sakura Taisen-themed live show until now, alongside other male actors of the franchise). At first, I'm confused as to why this is part of the album. I would rather have a musical tune from one of the Shin Hanagumi's plays like "Momotarou" or others. But then it came to my sense: Ginza itself has been a staple district in the franchise. Even Dandy Boss and his Dandy Dan have had more than one song for it. Basically, this could be a tribute to that, which also fits in this "Old meets New" section of the album. As for the "RURIRURAN" title, that's apparently the name of a Cafe in the district that players can visit time to time. Sorry if I didn't get that correctly, though. The song's music was another showcase of Kouhei-sensei dualism of tone. It started playful and bouncy, though in a rather unmemorable way. It's a sweet and young sound that greeted us with a smile after going through Yasha's darkness. Then it suddenly shifted to a tense gloomy mode in the middle, likely to depict the situation of the game, as well as Ginza as a place of both glamour and shady areas. I'm not familiar with Mayu Yoshioka (who I just learned voiced the main character Tilarna Excedillica in "Cop Craft", and sang that ending theme. She sounds different...), but she did showcase her range here and that's good. Regardless, I'm just not a fan of this song. And more often than not, I ended up pressing skip to jump to the final song instead.
STAR Tanjou (A Star is Born) by. Sumire Kanzaki (Michie Tomizawa), Kaoru Ringou (Yui Ishikawa) & Komachi Ouba (Ryouko Shiraishi)
After we heard echoes of a nostalgic voice from the olden days, followed by a new unfamiliar ring of the present, both eras came together as the final send-off of the album. Sumire Kanzaki, original Hanagumi's "TOOOOP-PU STAR" joined the new theatre staff members, Secretary Kaoru and Merchandise Seller Komachi, to celebrate and welcome the audience (read: fans and players) old and new to the Dai Teikoku Gekijou (Grand Imperial Theatre). Or "Teigeki", for short. PAOOOON... Life hadn't been kind for the great Ms. Kanzaki. How would you feel, if all the loved ones in your life are suddenly taken away from the face of the earth? Devastating, right? Well, that would be what Sumire felt when her beloved comrades, those she considered as a second family, vanished without a trace, leaving her all alone. Even worse, she managed to survive only because her depleting spiritual power had forced her to officially resign from the original Hanagumi. Otherwise, she would've still been a powerhouse of the team, thus becoming history alongside Sakura Shinguuji and the others. That's probably the base of reasoning to why she decided to go back, to help mentor and guide the new generation as the Teigeki's new leader. That sense of loss and confusion, a burden that piled towards new resolution also resonated with her VA, Michie Tomizawa. As you can read on the Famitsu link above, Tomizawa too, felt apprehensive about reprising her role. Ironically, as long-time fans would know, Sumire's retirement was caused by Tomizawa's own retirement from the entertainment industry. This occurred following the release of "Sakura Taisen 4". Because series creator Ouji Hiroi was against recasting actors (a decision I've fully supported), the franchise ended up officially bidding farewell to Sumire with a special New Year live performance dedicated for her, and an animated special "Sakura Taisen OVA: Sumire". Those were melancholic times. Tomizawa was absent from the franchise for several years until she officially returned to acting, hailing Sumire reemergence as a special guest star in "Super Kayou Show IV: Shin Aoi Tori". In that musical, she made a friendly visit to the original Commander Ikki Yoneda who was living a peaceful life after retiring from Teigeki. Yoneda had handed over his managerial role to Ichirou Ougami, who naturally had perished in the Great Demon War too. That's why it made perfect sense why Sumire took over as Shin Hanagumi's manager and Commander! She's the only one left. Tomizawa's words, with Yokoyama's blessing, added a much-needed hope to long-time fans: "I vowed that I would definitely reunite with the old members of the Flower Division one day. And that I will protect the members of the new Flower Division. That I would shoulder these two responsibilities... The old Sumire will come back after she managed to bring back her old comrades" Music-wise, this song was basically the Teito version of New York's "Koko wa Paradise" (heck, one of the line even says "Paradise"!) or Chattes Noires' can-can dance number "Hana no Paris". Complete with that touch of canon harmony in the chorus. But whereas those two titles were more upbeat or flashy, this felt a bit... subdued, calmer and elegant (that's Sumire, all right!). Kouhei-sensei did say this carried the style of "Gekijou e Ikou!" and "Kono Yo wa Tanoshii". You can look up for those songs online, and will get a pretty good idea of how this sounds. It's not really the best part of the album, but it's okay and enjoyable. Personally, I kinda feel an accompaniment song like this should've been the second track of the album, instead of those two massive group songs (Track 2 and 3) that served better as a showstopper closing. This would sound better to prepare the stage for more and bigger things to come, right? But thematically, it did serve the purpose of being a culmination of "Old Meets New". I don't know if that's the true goal, but that's the way I see it now. And perhaps, the purpose is to tell everyone that there will be more songs to come in the near future. Yes, that seems to be the case. During the "Tokyo Game Show", Kouhei-sensei accidentally spoiled that Shin Hanagumi members had recorded their version of this song, along with a new ending theme for the TV series. Simply put, this song concluded the album as a new beginning. So I guess I can deal with that! Hahaha... PS: Sumire's inclusion in the game does propose other unanswered questions. What happened to the other characters who are logically still alive? Is Yoneda still alive? But what about Vice Commander Kaede Fujieda? And then there's their Paris and New York counterparts: Grand Mere, Michael Sunnyside, and Ratchet Altair. Lest we forget the back-up ladies, Kazegumi, Mell Raison, and Ci Caprice, Plum Spaniel, and Anri Yoshino, along with many other supporting characters. Are they still alive? Then what about Neko Miyabi and the all-male musician team of Kanadegumi? Have they been written off history, just like that? It might be a stretch, but I'm hopeful that we will get answers about all of those in the game's next installment(s). Assuming "Shin Sakura Taisen" is successful enough to warrant one, of course...
OVERALL REVIEW
Once the final notes of "STAR Tanjou" faded away into silence, a sense of exhaustion hit me. Nope, perhaps the more suited term would be "emotionally drained". Not because it's something bad or anything, goodness no! As I've said at the beginning, it's been a while since I did this. And even though I've already split it into 4 thematic parts, I've gotten older now, and I haven't had this much excitement from the franchise for a while. A sense of relief, a thrust of thrill that... can only be compared to something people might find inappropriate to say. It makes sense, really. Considering I've just gone through an imaginary world tour through a potpourri of musical genres, happily stimulating and satiating myself with a rich and luxury full-course feast of intricate melodies and addictive rhythms. For a soundtrack of a full Sakura Taisen game, this probably felt the most colorful. Which on the other hand, might make it a tad heavy to hear for common listeners too. In particular, the younger people who're more accustomed to repetitive idol-ish techno notes and autotunes vocals. It's not hard to analyze why, though. Most of the past games only had like around 10 songs each, and "Shin Sakura Taisen" delivered a whopping 14 new tunes (just look at the tracklist). It's a tie with "Sakura Taisen 2", but that game featured 8 Hanagumi members! After all, this also had to introduce three new Kagekidan theme songs. And they were all scene-stealers, especially when compared to some of the solo numbers (looking at you, Itsuki, and sadly... Sakura). To be honest, If I had a say in this, I would totally release those new anthems on a separate album/release. At the very least, to balance things out. Of course, I suspect this is SEGA's way of foreshadowing/promoting potential sequels for the game. And if that's the case, then who am I to complain? All in all, I'm sure any Sakura Taisen fan would enjoy this, particularly due to the sense of nostalgia that looms over from start to finish. But the young generations (among them is my nephew. Good thing there's a cool uncle who can share exquisite things, huh? LOL) who haven't had the chance to know or experience this big fandom during its golden years, can see and understand why it's so special. Back then, people could only follow this franchise from Japan, where the franchise thrived and flourished while being unfamiliar to the rest of the world. But that time is gone, the era has changed, and everything is just a click away. That dream continues and CAN continue in a global scope. Will this result in a bigger love and appreciation for the past titles and music too? I would certainly love that, but we'll see. Just like "Shin GEKITEI", the entire song collection brought the same feeling, but also carried something new. And my one sincere hope is that it finds a special place in your hearts too!
Score: 8,09 out of 10 Note: The score is the average sum of my personal grading for each song in this CD.

As digital media sours on Facebook, traditional TV shows like The Dodo's partnership with Animal Planet could help diversify revenue — but they're tricky to pull off
Digital media companies are looking to diversify revenue, especially as Facebook becomes an unreliable partner.
Traditional TV shows have been considered a good opportunity, however, they can be hard to actually complete.
We spoke to The Dodo's leadership about their upcoming collaboration with Animal Planet, "Dodo Heroes," with an eye toward what can get a show the green light.
The digital media world is in a twitchy mood, and the culprit is Facebook, which has been sending gradually less traffic to publishers over the last few months, even in an area that it once called the future of the platform: video.
This has led to belt-tightening around the industry and at least one death (Little Things) already. And smart publishers are looking at the projects they hoped would diversify their revenue away from a reliance on a single tech giant, and assessing when they will bear fruit.
For video publishers, one of the growth opportunities bandied about has been the development of TV series: either on linear TV or on premium streaming outlets like Netflix. But getting a TV show on the air is tough, and many get killed in various stages of development. Not every digital media outlet has had the success of Vice when it comes to actually getting shows on the air.
Nevertheless, a handful of shows from digital upstarts like BuzzFeed (Oxygen), Vox (PBS, FYI, Netflix), Ozy (PBS), and Attn: (Showtime) have beaten the odds and received the green light.
To understand what it takes to land one of these deals, and how they work, Business Insider spoke to The Dodo’s CEO Izzie Lerer and president YuJung Kim about their collaboration with Animal Planet, "Dodo Heroes," which is currently in production and whose 6-episode first season will debut June 9 at 9 p.m.
It helps to have a partner
The first big point to understand is why getting on linear TV is so attractive for digital media outlets, some of which have talked about television like it’s a dying medium.
The short answer is “money,” but a longer one is the idea of extending a brand into a premium product. In the digital video system, it’s currently very hard to make enough money to support the kind of high-cost production that can help define a brand and impress big advertisers. And while the ad dollars might not be in traditional TV forever, they are certainly there now, and a TV show gets a video company a much bigger budget.
But people don't just throw money at you to make a TV show.
“Once we could proved ourselves in short form, we could play in mid form, then longer form,” Izzie Lerer told Business Insider in an interview, explaining the way video brands like The Dodo hope to add layers.
But getting a TV show on the air is a long and arduous process, and takes a lot of capital and capabilities many digital media companies simply don’t have. That’s why it helps to have a partner in traditional TV who understands your brand and has a stake in your financial success. In The Dodo’s case, that was Discovery.
“The linear [television] conversations really came about with Group Nine, coinciding with The Dodo maturing as a company,” YuJung Kim said.
In late 2016, the Group Nine holding company was created to tie together four media brands: Thrillist, NowThis, The Dodo, and Seeker (Discovery's digital network). Discovery, which owns Animal Planet and had previously invested in The Dodo, put another $100 million into Group Nine at the same time.
That financial stake in mutual success helped solidify the trust between Animal Planet and The Dodo when it came time to develop a show together, Lerer said.
“There has been a lot of trust on both sides around what we each know, a lot of willingness to bring social and digital know-how,” she continued.
Susanna Dinnage, the global president of Animal Planet, told Business Insider she was also struck by the “common purpose of the two brands.”
Pitching the data
With the trust established, Animal Planet and The Dodo could embark on the process of actually making the series.
“Our real bread and butter is telling stories where the animal is the center, making animal the protagonist, their quirks, their likes and dislikes,” Lerer said, before adding “that’s more challenging for linear” television. Not all of The Dodo's bread and butter stories would translate easily.
Lerer said that when thinking through what would work on traditional TV, the team decided to focus on stories that were more relationship-centric and human-centric, settling on "Dodo Heroes," which spotlights humans who go above and beyond to help animals.
Then they decided on potential subjects using data on what had performed well for The Dodo in short form online.
“Given that the concept came from us, they were looking for a rec from us around casting,” Lerer said. “In almost all cases we had data around the heroes we ended up featuring.”
“That was the very starting point, pulling data on those specific stories,” Kim added.
One of those stories in the upcoming season that Kim specifically pointed out centers around a vet, Derrick Campana, who makes animal prosthetics. He works a lot with dogs, but in the episode “we get to see him work with an elephant which is incredibly unique,” Kim said.
Enter a third party production company
To make the show, The Dodo and Animal Planet worked with a third-party production company.
“Animal Planet agreed on a production partner, Nomadica Films,” Lerer said. “They are out in the field shooting. We have been extremely involved every step: casting, providing shot lists, talking them through our approach, what we want it to feel like and look like.”
The use of a third-party production company is an important point, and is a common arrangement for TV shows coming from digital media companies, though some have done production in-house (like Vice).
Why use a production partner?
“Everything from equipment, to experience shooting that kind of production,” Lerer said. “We don't have a built out originals team. These shoots are all over the world they are very time intensive. We are also a really lean shop.” The Dodo currently has 63 employees.
Other industry insiders Business Insider spoke to also emphasized that a company like Nomadica was a known entity for Animal Planet, and while this would minimize risk, it could also limit the financial upside for The Dodo.
This is markedly different from many of the TV-like shows appearing on Facebook’s Watch platform, which digital media companies like The Dodo have been making entirely in-house.
“We have been able to use the people we’ve had,” with a few additional hires, Kim said of The Dodo’s Facebook Watch shows. These include "Comeback Kids: Animal Edition," which Lerer described as the “number one” show on the Watch platform.
Is it a hit?
When the show comes out this summer, it will be time to measure its success.
“I want to reach every audience with this show,” Dinnage said. “Total consumption becomes a really interesting point. Everyone living in world of linear ratings, that’s only part of a story.”
One point Kim stressed was that from an ad-sales perspective, Group Nine had made “a bundle that is pretty rare in the market, a true digital-linear package. 'Dodo Heroes' is perfect example in one product being able to bring together digital and linear,” she said.
But though both Lerer and Kim pointed to The Dodo’s moves to diversify platforms — “we are the No. 1 animal channel on YouTube” — the spectre of Facebook is still hanging over many brands that built huge followings on that platform.
“Engagement is the key word in the [Facebook algorithm] shift,” Kim said. “Content that generates engagement will rise to top … On [Facebook] Watch we have three of the top five when it comes to shares per episode.”
That sentiment is true when comparing competitors in the space, but the absolute Facebook numbers have not been kind for video views, even for video publishers with engaging videos.
The Dodo's total video views on its main Facebook page have fallen from their peak of around 1.2 billion in April 2017 to around 560 million in February 2018, according to data from CrowdTangle.
That drop is not out of step with many of The Dodo's competitors, but it does raise the question of how much having an engaging brand can help one beat against the Facebook tide. That is one reason why diversification is so important, Kim said.
"Our approach to being a distributed media company has always been about creating exceptional programming wherever audiences are — whether that's on Facebook, TV or beyond,” Kim said in response to the decreased reach of video publishers on Facebook. “It's about being diversified, and most importantly, creating engaging content that people love. Time spent on our content was at an all time high in February, and I think that's a testament to our ability to optimize content for our audience across all our platforms."
The Dodo grew from 1.5 billion to 2.5 billion monthly video views over the last year on all platforms, the company said, even with the Facebook drop.
For distributed media companies to continue to grow revenue, initiatives like The Dodo’s upcoming TV show will be important to understand where to lean in, and where to lean away. With Facebook no longer the silver bullet, we’ll see which brands that grew enormous from it can extend beyond it.

What College Diploma Is needed For Medical Sales
As a Clinical Income recruiter, I am requested (almost on a day by day basis) what College levels are suited for a Clinical Sales job. Due to the fact that this field is so various (clinical diagnostics Sales, laboratory Income, pathology Income, imaging Income, biotechnology Income, Medical device Income, pharmaceutical Sales, healthcare IT, Scientific software program Sales, surgical Income, and extra), you do want an operating knowledge of technological know-how and Medical generation to be successful.
However, the real (and maybe sudden) answer to the Diploma query is: If you have Sales enjoy, almost any College Diploma will translate for maximum jobs at maximum organizations. Personality, abilities and enjoy makeup quite a few what health care Sales managers are searching out. Clinical Sales managers want to look proof you can produce effects, and you could examine the Medical and technical understanding you need for the activity to your very own. (And you’ll be learning new generation, tactics, and equipment nearly constantly, besides.)
Having stated that, the very exceptional levels are: biology, chemistry, zoology, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular, fitness care, kinesiology, and sports activities medicine. If you can combine a technical/technological know-how Diploma like these with Income revel in, then you’re in a pretty desirable spot. If you’ve introduced some business instructions to these, you are even higher off.
A lesser, but still superb, function inside the process market would be the possession of a business Degree with a decent number of technological know-how classes (maybe a minor).
If you’re inside the marketplace for a Scientific Income process and also you do not have the “best” Degree combination, you can improve your probabilities via job shadowing someone in your selected field, and developing a 30/60/90-day plan for the interview that shows the hiring manager you are drawing near the activity with information and a plan. Finally, find a career train who makes a specialty of this area to quick and efficaciously flip you into the most marketable candidate so you can land the task you want.
How to Begin a Traffic School in California
The first factor you need to do is go to the California DMV website, dmv.Ca.Gov I’m able to upload hyperlinks for you so you can locate the statistics without difficulty as the DMV website may be a bit hard to navigate via. (AB2499 is New CA rules for Visitors colleges that were put in vicinity nine.1.2012) It covers all the rules and regulations in addition to the qualifications wished for the owner operator and teacher.
When you go through the records you may need to print out the Visitors College proprietor checklist, it’s going to show to be very helpful in checking off every element you want to finish.
Establishing up a Traffic violator College may be a protracted and tedious enterprise; there are numerous necessities that want to be in the region before the DMV approves you.
I can list the steps concerned in Opening up your Faculty:

If you will opt for you can purchase a pre-approved lesson plan which might be simpler than writing your personal which is a 6 month to a yr mission. Plus you may get your approval letter from the DMV in approximately a week and best ought to pay a $25.00 fee to use a pre-accepted path.
2)The DMV have to approve your Visitors College name earlier than you may move ahead with the rest of your software, you’ll need to fill out the OL 612 shape, however before you your waste time shopping your area name for an online Visitors College you could name the DMV and check to look if the call you want to use is to be had at the time of your name
