The fact that Scar won the season he was made out to be the villain constantly and was alone with no real friends the whole time is what really gets me.
Like its his second time being without allies and he just turns that loneliness into anger - less because he wants to, and more cause he's forced to cause of being made out to be the villain by the secret keeper. I feel like it'd just prove to him that hes better off alone than with friends and MAN. IM THINKING ABOUT THIS SO MUCH-

started a new job recently as a research assistant for a gay Latinx professor in my grad program, and while I definitely don't have the time to be doing my own research, working with this professor on his book projects has been so affirming and healing. i'm working on a book he hopes to publish soon that is full of interviews of gay and trans Latine men...and it is so fucking awesome. I feel so seen by the words I am reading, and I feel tears spring to my eyes looking at the photographs of these men. They look like family members, distant cousins, and family friends. They look so happy and full of confidence. I see myself in their eyes, recognizing the "fish" shape in our eyes that is so distinctly tied to Latines. One of the men in the book is a pup! And it is so beautiful seeing his smile as he holds his pup mask.
I have met very few queer latines. I don't know what it's like to have the tio or tia that has some secret aura to them, that "no se habla" vibes where everyone knows they're queer but just won't acknowledge it. Hell, this professor I'm working with is the first gay Latine man I've ever spoken to. I wish I had a community of gay Latines. I hope I am able to access that one day :)

Sometimes, I wonder if people forget the classic line in 3rd Life.
"Scar, I think no matter what happens, I think we can claim this as a double victory, right?"
"Yes, I, we are, we're good."
Scar already won the life series. He won with Grian. 3rd Life was a double win. And yet, people just draw Grian as the victor.
Do you see how Scar doesn't play to win? Do you see how Scar prefers being around his friends, how everything he's out, he doesn't mourn the fact he can't win, but rather mourns the fact he can't play this wonderful game with his friends?
Am I just crazy, or do other people see that as well?
Scar already won.

Felassan enasalin!
A tribute to my best boy Felassan; he's not gone in my heart, just wandering the Fade somewhere. ; ; Featuring my attempt at Elvhen writing! The sidebar says "Felassan enasalin" -- the other bit is just my signature transliterated. I might or might not make a guide at some point in case other people want to use written Elvhen, who knows.
The Elvhen writing in this is a cipher based on the carvings we see in game + the scrap from Last Flight, stylized with flourishes. Any similarities to real languages are coincidental and unintended! The pose is from a portrait of Henry Woodward by Violet Oakley (1921).

no let’s talk about cScott’s strategy in the life series being the social game. Let’s talk about how he’ll just kinda play nice with everyone and get to very high placements as a result. Do you wonder if his past allies feel used by him? If they feel like they’re just part of the strategy of his own game? Did you realize how rarely Scott has recurring alliances? Do you think they wonder about if they were just someone Scott could get to a higher result to feel good about? Or someone that could get him the win? Or are you normal
all I’m saying is usually we go on lengthy talks about Scott being nice and sweet and wholesome but this guy (character) is good at the murder game! Really worryingly good! Let’s delve into that some more!
