Try list any Octo-Agents and think of an Episode you Think give them a Shining Moment

W O O F this took a while– I was thinking long and hard about this because there are SO MANY good moments and episodes 😅, and so many agents– it was difficult, but I’m happy with my answers 👀

Ranger Marsh’s Shine Episode is definitely The Monitor Lizards. I LOVE this episode, it’s one of my favourites in the whole series so far—not just because of the events in it, but as a concept. I LOVE the callback to the Great Swamp Search!! I watched the 2nd season blind, and seeing all these familiar faces was SUCH a fun surprise. It’s good for Ranger Marsh as a character, because it actually shows him doing his job as a Ranger, not as an Octo-Agent. It also reinforces the fact that he truly cares for and is friends with these creatures, even if they are invasive, and that he's willing to travel to check in on them. This is another episode that also proves (to me) that the writers know they’re dealing with an older audience for the show, and are more likely to delve into solid lore and continuity. This episode makes me really hopeful for more of that.

Natquik’s Shine Episode, WITHOUT QUESTION, is The Red Fox. Honestly I feel like I don’t need to explain why, but I will because I like talking ✨: Natquik is my favourite Octo-Agent, but overall we haven’t actually gotten that many episodes dedicated to him yet. The Red Fox gives us a close and personal look into what Natquik is like by himself (I love episodes where characters are alone 👀), how he deals with problems (by ignoring them until they get worse—which is interesting... *stares at Barnacles*...), and even hints toward his family, by showing us his family portraits, and leaving us wondering, “Where are they?” – There are so many moments I love in this episode, from when he first discovers the kits, decides to help them stay warm, rushes to protect Barnacles, to his bittersweet goodbye at the end. It’s all so perfect.

Tracker absolutely shines in The Missing Lake. Honestly, he shines a LOT in Above and Beyond, considering he never got his own episode in the main series, and was only in Operation Deep Freeze for two scenes. AnB has been really good to Tracker, and I’m so grateful they decided to make him an Agent. The Missing Lake sticks out to me the most, because for the most part he is by himself (and I’ve already mentioned my love for that <3), and unlike all his other episodes, we get to really see him be responsible and use his Polar Scout skills in action. He’s often portrayed as a follower, who just goes along with whatever he's told to do, but he takes charge twice in this episode: when he offers to help Rowan, and when he stays behind to save Buck. Love that for him.

Calico Jack. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Calico Jack....... I could talk forever about this funky old cat man. He doesn’t just shine, he GLOWS in every episode he’s in—but alas, for the sake of this post I will be focusing on The Harlequin Duck. I love the showing of his gentle parental instincts in this episode, and his singing; since we know he canonically has a theme song, that I headcanon he wrote himself. I think far too much, and often, about how he legit panicked when he realized the egg was missing. How his first instinct was to hide that fact from Captain Barnacles. He was terrified, having a full blown panic attack on screen. He apologizes to the mother duck with such genuine solace, and promises to get it back “On [his] honour as a pirate!” ...Which is extremely significant to me, considering Kwazii was the first character to EVER say the phrase: “On me honour as an Octonaut!” in The Flying Fish after Inkling’s book was lost – and of course as a final touch, I adore seeing him work with Pete to get the egg back. The way he tosses the egg in the air, fully trusting that Pete will catch it... they’re so in sync, just as pirate and parrot are meant to be ;)

Paani... I feel like there’s so much more to him than what we’ve seen so far, it almost feels unfair to assign him a “Shine Episode”. So, instead of highlighting a single episode, I’ll quickly talk about three that stick out (PS: you might sense a theme 🤣):

The Barnacle Geese - Uncle Paani. I like the “I’ll be my own uncle” joke, and the Edgar Allen Poe reference. I think Paani’s determination to help the chick (who doesn’t seem to want help) is nice to watch, and helps to prove his worthiness as an Agent—which is always fun considering his hesitance when Barnacles tried to recruit him in S1E1. In a way, this episode also makes Paani seem more like Barnacles. See my old post analyzing the show’s intro. (*Stares at the episode title* 👁️👁️)

The Arabian Camels - Take a shot of cocoa every time I mention my love for episodes where characters are forced to be by themselves. This one is especially interesting to me though, because we know that Paani was alone, for a very long time, before he met the Octonauts. He has no trouble working and getting by alone, and we get to see him exhibiting that, while being out of his element (a dry desert) at the same time; and that’s really cool.

The Lonely Frog - ...Y’know how they constantly make the Octonauts/Agents meet creatures with similar issues to them? Yeah. *Stares at the episode title.* *Stares at the end scene where he says “Kinda like when I met you guys!” before obnoxiously jumping into the lake, in response to Shellington+Peso saying “They never even knew each other existed before! [...] and now it’s like they’ve known each other all their lives!”* *STARES MORE AT THE EPISODE TITLE,,* *wonders how long Paani was actually alone before becoming an Agent...*

Pinto, where art thou? He wasn’t in S2 at all, which was a bit disappointing since we just saw him get an Octowatch in S1. I would’ve expected him to be pressing that button every chance he got, giving us a “Penguin who cried Octoalert” episode. But anyway,, The Curious Penguin is the PERFECT episode for Pinto. It shows his personality really well, and I love how his distractions and the things he learns and discovers help him to save the day in the end. I think Pinto (just like Kwazii) is a good portrayal of ADHD, and how he just needs to be in the right environment to succeed. Each time Pinto messes up or loses focus, isn’t because he was left alone and couldn’t be trusted—it’s because he was left alone and understimulated. So when he’s thrown into a sudden high-stakes situation, all of his focus hones in on the moment, and he’s able to save Dashi and Paani by himself.

AND, because you didn’t say it had to be an Above and Beyond moment, I want to throw some love at The Oarfish episode from the main series. In this episode, Pinto no longer views Peso as “less” than an Octonaut, and is so excited to watch him do his job—it’s really cute!! His impulsivity is once again a positive thing—granted, it seems to annoy Peso a little, but when you think about it he kinda saved the day by being impulsive. He sounded the Octoalert without permission, which let the captain know to come back before their radio signal cut out, and by being unafraid of the “monster” and swimming outside, he was able to discover what the problem was so that Peso could help. He did good.

Pearl.... I love Pearl a lot, but I can’t think of one specific episode that comes to mind for her. I love The Pupfish because it introduces Peri to AnB, and I love how he teaches her how to tie a knot, so she can save the algae (and Glen). I like The Bison episode because it’s interesting watching her not doing something with algae for once, and The Pink Glacier because her and Kwazii’s dynamic was something I didn’t know I needed, but now I want more of (/p).

Ryla. Possibly controversial opinion: I liked Ryla in The Caves of Sac Actun, more than I like her now in Above and Beyond. I know she’s only gotten 3 episodes so far, but she’s really missing something. Sac Actun gave us lore on her right off the bat: she’s old friends with Dashi, she’s a skilled cave explorer, she’s spunky, she’s purple. AnB hasn’t given us much yet. So far her only shtick is caves, and that’s getting a bit repetitive. Consider every moment she has in Sac Actun as her “Shining Moment”, because honestly that whole movie is a 10/10.

Koshi,,,, she hasn't gotten that much yet, but I'm gonna say The Longfin Eels is her Shine Episode. I like the way she narrates the whole episode, because it's very in-character. Plus we know she’s literally writing about this adventure in her diary as she's telling it, as if it were a mystery book. She reminds me of narrators from 1920s film noirs, and that’s cool. Also! Honorary mention of the scene when she gets her Octowatch: I loved that for her <3

Min is below the cut, because my answer for her includes some very heavy SEASON 5 SPOILERS, including SCREENSHOTS:

All of Min's appearances so far are dear to my heart. However, my favourite has to be her own introductory episode: The Giant Chinese Salamander.

The Rainforest Rescue is another amazing episode for Min—she’s a wonderful character on her own, of course—but I think we can all agree that she and Inkling are very adorable together (no matter how you interpret their relationship).

When Above and Beyond aired on Netflix, there was a lot of confusion around Min, from the younger audience and other fans who hadn’t seen S5. The Giant Chinese Salamander introduces Min with a 20-minute special; showing her in high-stakes action with Kwazii, bonding with the Octonauts, being an all-around Cool Person™, and a flashback of how she met Inkling when they were younger.

She saved his life. He was thrown far inland by a rough storm, and was trapped until she found him. I honestly headcanon that Min partially (if not outright) inspired Inkling to form the Octonauts, and this moment could have literally sealed the fate of EVERYTHING we know.

But! Until S5 comes out, that's all I've got to say~ 👋💝

❤️‍🔥Moon conjunct Venus {Synastry}: A very wholesome one. The two understand each other on a deep level. It can really feel like meeting your match, true love & your best friend all in one.

❤️‍🔥Moon Conjunct Mars {Synastry}: More of a slow burn, very sensual yet seductive. Push and pull energy too. Not super fiery and in your face like the “Sun conjunct Mars” aspect.

❤️‍🔥8th house placements: Deep conversations. Intense eye contact 👀. Constantly feeling this interesting pull towards each other and each time you talk it feels like the pull gets stronger & stronger. The energy between you two can feel lil hot & heavy ;).

I just find these aspects very….nice lol, it’s like the Pluto person becomes a bit possessive and protective ( not in a toxic way thoo, not a supporter of that kind of stuff, only the good old healthy kind😌) over the ascendant person in a very endearing way while the ascendant person finds the Pluto person fascinating. The Pluto person also enjoys having this sort of “power” over the ascendant person. Very nice ;).

❤️‍🔥 Mars aspecting the Ascendant {Synastry}: Instant attraction to each other. Both find each other FIoNE, ok maybe not fine for everyone but definitely attractive lol. A huge indicator of sexual attraction and also might even …get aroused just by looking at each other (just an fyi). Seeing each other for the first time can be very, “damn they finneeee ash” , or almost kind of take your breath away. Always a aspect I get when I first meet someone that I think is really good looking lol.

❤️‍🔥Sun in the 8th house {Synastry}: Very much a “omg your so mysterious and interesting to look at😍😅…your mine and I wanna know more about you.” This aspect can definitely give off that kind of energy. Like a moth to a flame..literally lol (the sun persons the moth while the 8th house person is the flame 🔥)

I was actually just thinking about this the other day, anon!! I bet I can draft something up real quick!

FIRST CHAPTER NARRATION:

Long ago, the Fire Nation lived in peace and prosperity.

Then, everything changed when my great grandfather tried to share that prosperity with the rest of the world, and the Air Nation attacked.

While my great grandfather won that battle, the Avatar - an Air National, the master of all four elements, and the most deadly threat to the Fire Nation - somehow managed to evade him, and vanished.

Nearly a hundred years have passed since then, and the Fire Nation is now nearing victory in the war. My father, the new Fire Lord, has tasked me with finding and capturing the Avatar.

This is my destiny, and the only way I can restore my honor and return home.

POST-ZUKO REDEMPTION NARRATION (aka the normal show intro version):

Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.

Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop the my people’s tyranny. But when the world needed him most, he vanished.

Nearly one hundred years passed, and my uncle and I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang.

Through his friendship, Aang helped me open my eyes to the things I was blind to. Now, my uncle and I are going to help him defeat my father and save the world.

i have this on my draft for a while a thread of some specific zorobin images, panels or scenes because they are so good together and my shipper's brain is working overtime so there's that. 😅💚💜⚔️🌸

Exhibit 1:

if not endgame, why drew them like this? this is such a husband/wife stance with their kid.

a family portrait - zoro looking like a serious dad, robin an obedient wife - she's in heels that's why she couldn't sit all the way with her feet tucked underneath like a traditional wife. and chopper as their son with his cute little bagpack. they're so effing married y'all. 😭

oda is playing with my shipper's heart. 🥲

Exhibit 2.

them playing Go from One Piece opening 12. a game which originated in asia mostly known and popular in china, japan, and korea.

since zoro is japanese and robin is russian we can guess that zoro asked robin to play with him. robin beating him is so funny even the dog pity him. lol 😂

i can't, toie!!!! why would you animate them like a normal couple whose having a fun and casual date!!!!

Exhibit 3.

another images of them looking like a husband and wife with their daughter.

this shot is very intentional and targets me for some reason. 😉🤔

toko is more connected to zorobin but why toie intentionally placed tama in the middle? tama's motif is green + purple zorobin's color and here she's looking more like their daughter. carrot's yukata is yellow-green with more greenish design - she's slightly far back and thin that you cant even notice her at first glance and the focus is more with zorobin + tama here.

if you are familiar with the rule of thirds in filmmaking some shots are purposely done for emphasis and show relations between subjects/objects in a frame.

to have a visual comparison, see sanami + toko and luffy/brook/chopper - the colors do not look harmonious. they were intentionally groups in 3s. carrot is straight behind tama that they look like one person.

sanami in the shot above parallel zorobin with a kid placed in between them. also, both couples in each sides of the picture.

while toko'a motif is red + pink, matching lunami in this pic. luffy yukata red + blue, nami's sky blue + pink patterns. for visualization, exchange luffy with sanji and you'll see what i mean with the colors matching the clothes.

anyway, someone in the animation dept is definitely hiding as a zorobin shipper for sure. 😂🤭🤫

Exhibit 4:

specific images drawn originally in opposite positions or away from each other but if you flip and edited together they just happened to fit so well. ain't that too convenient 🥹🤔🤭

i found them on pinterest and i was like why does this image fit so well without trying to. kudos to the original editor. 🥰😍

see the difference? the other characters, if you rearrange them it will look jarring and will not have the same effect.

while zorobin over here looks pretty cozy in hindsight. you'll never know that it's not the original image.

oda intentionally drew them like this and thought we wouldn't notice. 🤔😎🤭

Exhibit 5:

when i saw this one, i had to double take cos i really thought robin was holding zoro's arm. her head slightly leaning over to his shoulder.

toie, you ship-baiting sons of b@#$! had me screaming zorobin confirmed for a hot second. 🥲🫠

Exhibit 6:

the classic hero and damsel trope

the original image was with other characters but if you isolate, the emphasis on these two was undeniable.

take note of the placement of the characters to one another. their facial expressions and body language.

zoro in a crouching stance with his swords drawn across and his face serious. robin's beside him looking sad with her hood on.

the hero is angry serious and his troubled damsel.

oda's no-romance-among-the-crew but keep drawing zorobin with subtle lover undertones will be the death of me. 🙄😫🤡

if this is not one piece, this image on the right is a common trope in storytelling mostly seen in movie posters or book covers. right in the center is the hero and then the woman at the side is the love interest.

and mind you this image is a cover spread during the enies lobby where robin bares her heart and the strawhats save her. and who got the last key that "freed" her?*cough*zoro*cough*

in my mind, all the images above are just so intentional that my instinct will point yup that's otp for sure. 😂🤭😅🤫🥲🤔

anyway, this thread is 60% side comments, 10% attempt to do an analysis, 30% blaming oda/toie for being such a tease and shipbaiter.

I've actually had a theory about this hiding somewhere in my drafts for a couple of months now, but I've been too lazy to dig into it because 1. Structured writing, and therefore theories, is not my forte 2. My theory is that Elain's book will have something to do with ✨️Vines✨️.

Like... A Court of ✨️🌿Golden Vines🌿✨️(which I'm leaning the most towards), ACO Twining Vines, ACO Tangled Vines, ACO Blooming Vines, ACO Shadows and Vines... etc. I'm still trying to figure out where to lay my theory 😅🤣

It may sound very Elucien or even Tamlain, but ✨️Vines✨️ are described as "a plant whose stem requires support and which climbs by tendrils or twining or creeps along the ground" which, if you read or search through the books, also hints and applies to the movement of Azriel's shadows in many instances... @wingedblooms absolutely brilliant post that I quite recently came upon, especially supports the 'Twining'... So I think it's the perfect title to confuse people about her endgame 😜

Anyways, to back up my guess/theory...

Elain's scent is of Jasmine (and Honey), which seems to be the bloom of the Night Court 👀, grows as climbing shrubs or ✨️vines✨️. But I'm feeling specifically strongly for the ✨Vines✨ because

Aaaaand because:

1. Ivy is a ✨vine✨ and Sarah has mentioned it in relation to Elain's book in an interview presented at the back of ACOFAS.

2. Nesta's drawer had flames🔥. Elain had...

🌿✨Twining Vines of flowers✨🌿

We often see the beautiful petals (Elain's softness & beauty), but we don't think about the strength, resilience, and foundation of the vines underneath and........ 👇

3. ✨️Vines✨️ symbolise:

Strength & hope & resilience = Elain's quiet strength.

Determination = Elain has shown determination to help in ways she can, but is yet to be given the chance to...

She also has shown a determined disregard and opposition to having a mate...

Connection = Goes well along with my guess on "Golden" or "Twining" Vines which are often used as adjectives in relation to bonds, threads, and even spells.

Also, Elain is an Archeron sister, Cauldron-blessed, and a Seer - connected to basically every plot and possible subplots in the books (The Cauldron ➡️ Ramiel in Illyria ➡️ Made Objects & People ➡️ The Middle & The Prison/Dusk Court ➡️ The Dread Trove ➡️ Koschei ➡️Vassa ➡️The Human Queens etc.🔁); not just for who she is and her Cauldron-given gifts and abilities, but also possibly through her LIs and family. She's the one sister left unexplored and it all leads back to her. She's basically at the beginning (She's the first sister mentioned by Feyre at the beginning of ACOTAR) and in the end (She's the last sister mentioned by Nesta at the end of ACOSF) of everything. So I don't know if that supports her book being next or last...

Life = the meaning of which also applies to her scent of Honey and "Golden" -the colour of (sun)light, honey, her eyes, her hair.

3. ✨️Vines✨️ are also mentioned/connected to the earthen powers described in CC3 that Sathia & Tristan Flynn + Bryce have, which I believe many has already theorised Elain to also have... I quite like those theories (can't remember exactly where I read them as of rn) and would like to believe that it's something the Cauldron has blessed her with since she's associated with gardening and life...

I also read somewhere in a biblical text (which I wasn't too keen to delve into tbh, so don't trust my word for it, but it's Googlable) where ✨️Golden Vine✨️was associated with Life, Rebirth, and Free Will... But if Elain turns out to be the next Messiah/Saviour/Prophet of Prythian, then it's quite perfect 🤷🏻‍♀️

So... that's sort of my take so far 🫣 Hope it makes sense to you, nonnie 😅

Kindly Stopped for Me: Chapter 33. Lily lives AU, where Lily falls into a coma on Halloween 1981 and wakes up at the end of GoF. Lots of angst and family feels.

The Joker and The Queen: Chapter 3. A Jily fake-dating fic. Shenanigans abound. An "Idiots in Love" kind of story.

James Lives AU (Title TBA): Outline & Chapter 1. Basically a James version of Kindly Stopped for Me. James survives Halloween 1981 in a way that I will not spoil for you, and wakes up later on when Harry is a teenager.

Forever is the Sweetest Con: Short multi-chapter. Jily as con artists who fall in love while trying to con each other.

Fragile Little Flame: A post-war Hinny fic! Most likely a one-shot, but we'll see what happens.

(I’m not including the KSFM Missing Moments that I’m working on in this, since I don’t post them on AO3, but just know that I haven’t forgotten them!!!)

Upcoming Scenes, Events, Details

I've been making some minor changes to my outline for KSFM, so the exact numbers may change, but looking at it from a birds-eye view—Chapters 35 and 39 are two of the angstiest chapters in the entire fic😅 So...in preparation for that...I'm giving you all a slight break from the heaviness of this fic with chapters 33 and 34. I'm hoping it won't feel like a crazy tone switch after the previous two chapters, but I'm excited! Chapter 33 is a bit of a transition chapter (setting up some important things!) so maybe won't be the most exciting thing to read. But it will include Lily watching Harry in a Gryffindor Quidditch match for the first time and the gang celebrating Sirius’s 36th birthday!🎂🎂🎂 So hopefully you all will enjoy that!! And then Chapter 34 will be a Harry POV and will feature some good old-fashioned teenage romance drama😅

Chapter 3 of The Joker and The Queen has taken soooo long to write because it's something I sort of have to be in the right mindset for. (I still don't have a full outline for it because I posted the first chapter impulsively before I really thought about the plot very much lol) But I'm hoping it will be worth the wait!! The chapter will feature Lily meeting Fleamont and Euphemia (and possibly some Potter extended family members too) for the first time. I've never written James's parents before, so I'm excited!

Oh man, oh man. What can I say about the James lives au?? I'm currently drafting multiple vague outline ideas as I work through the timeline that I want it to take place in. But, despite what I've said previously, I'm finding myself starting to lean towards setting it in the OotP universe after all. (but no promises yet!) I'm staying kind of vague about the plot of this since it's still very much under consideration, but I'll just say that Peter's betrayal and its ramifications will be a major focus. The betrayal will happen slightly differently than it does in canon (as some of you have already guessed!), and I expect it to be devastating😈

Forever is the Sweetest Con is a fic that has been percolating in my brain for a WHILE now. I haven't officially outlined it yet, but I already made the banner so it's officially happening! It will be canon divergent, and I'm excited to explore the cat-and-mouse dynamic that I envision when I think about this one.

Fragile Little Flame is a fic inspired by Taylor Swift's "I Know Places" and is also one that I already have a banner and title for, but no outline. It'll be a post-war Hinny fic (I've been wanting to return to writing them!) and will take place in the 19 years between the end of DH and the epilogue. I haven't really thought about the plot in detail yet, but it probably won't be epilogue-compliant. Harry will (probably) be a Quidditch player rather than an Auror, and the fic will explore Harry and Ginny recovering from the war and rebuilding their relationship amongst the chaos of both grief and fame.

What’s Mine is Yours Mine: Nathan Bateman x fem!reader

Summary: Nathan has a present for you…

A/n: shameless smut / half-developed PWP I found kicking around in my drafts while I’m having a declutter. I’m getting too in my head about posting smut on here these days, so I thought I’d just bite the bullet and put this out there. Don’t look at me 😅 Originally was going to be part of a larger thing which is why I haven’t posted until now, but I’ll simply leave the rest to your imagination 😉

Warnings / ratings: 18+, explicit, minors do not interact. Dom/sub dynamics, collar, oral sex / throat fuck, mentions of choking. All consensual. Fairly mild compared to some stuff I’ve posted in the past. LOL.

“Come here,” Nathan purrs darkly, and the lust-laden, commanding tone of his voice is eminently familiar. Your muscle memory responds before you do, and you’re already turning towards him before you consciously respond, so used to obliging him by now.

Whatever he’s about to offer, you’re already interested - you can tell from his voice alone.

“What for?”

When you see the look in his eyes, you throw a little sex into your walk, swaying those hips of yours. Slinking over towards him.

“Got something for you,” he explains, moving to sit on the couch, his thick thighs spread wide apart and straining against those slacks of his.

“What is it?”

“Kneel down and maybe I’ll show you.”

You do. You oblige him, your knees settling into the plush rug as you settle in between his spread legs.

“Close your eyes.”

You do, and your heart hammers in anticipation. You reach out for clues, noting he is moving to grab something. You hear a subtle jangle. Something like a buckle. You wonder if he’s liberating himself, hard already, but in the next moment, you feel a sensation like cool leather at your neck.

A collar? You’d been asking for one, and now he’s spoiling you. A flood of heat travels right to your crotch as Nathan’s nimble fingers fasten it around you, deftly threading leather through buckle, until your neck is straining just right against the subtle tightness of it.

Your eyes remain obediently closed, but you hear Nathan hum in satisfaction. “There. Mmm hmm. That’s it.”

Sensing he is done, you open your eyes. You can’t see yourself but you can feel it. The slight tension and give of the collar bracing against your neck as you swallow. Your fingertips come up so you can explore the texture of it, seeking out the cool metal of the “o” ring right in the centre. You know without seeing that the leather is blood red, to match your wrist and ankle cuffs. You know Nathan wouldn’t give you anything but the best.

A devilish smile blooms over your face, and your eyes devour Nathan. Even while you are the submissive, you feel very much in control of where this is going.

“Christ. Jesus. Fuck.” Nathan praises as he drinks the sight of you in like this.

It’s not just the physical feeling of being dominated. The loss of control. More so, it’s the satisfaction that comes from Nathan wanting to “own” you. Knowing how badly he wants to make you his. That he chose you for this, and so much for besides.

“Oh,” you purr. “You like that? Like how I look?”

“You look so…” His fingers skim over your collar, up and down your throat.

“So what, Nathan?”

“So… mine.” His final word is practically a growl. A greedy sound.

“I am. Yours.”

“Yeah? You are?”

Your heavy gaze drops down to his crotch, where you note he is already swelling, a sizeable erection tenting beneath his pants. “Mmm,” you affirm, the sound drawn out and syrupy, hinting at the way you might sound if he treats you nicely. If he makes you feel good.

The pad of Nathan’s thumb brushes along your lower lip, the ghost of a touch. Your breath hitches in your throat, reminding you of the collar as it strains against your neck. Reminding you you’re his. That you belong to him. That he wants you to. Needs you to. “Is this mouth mine?”

“Yes.”

“Show me.”

You know what he wants. You open up for him, and he abruptly shoves two fingers over your tongue, sliding them all the way to the back of your throat until you gag on them. He tastes like barbell metal. You love it. You hate it. Abruptly, he does it again, his gaze flitting all over your face, awed by your compliance.

“Hnnnnnng,” he praises, shifting himself forward, until he is perched on the very lip of the couch, bringing the straining mass of him closer to your mouth. His thighs box you in, and a smugness drags over his mouth as he reaches out to you, wrapping both of his warm, broad hands around your feeble throat, no doubt feeling your racing pulse beneath his caress.

“Mmm,” he hums again, the sound almost involuntary in his throat - like a pre-programmed command - as he adjusts and settles his fingers one by one, curling them around your neck and that pretty collar. From the sounds he’s making, you have no doubt that the way you lean into it rather than shying away will have his dick throbbing hard and full in his pants. The way you push him for more, his touch far too gentle; for now.

Nathan’s gaze is obsidian by now, blown-out pupils engulfing bark-brown as he reads the dirty heat blazing in your eyes. He doesn’t squeeze yet. Not really. In fact, he kisses you, dragging you to his lips with his hands still folded around your throat in an unfulfilled promise.

The kiss is hungry but restrained, and it only leaves you wanting more.

Nathan shifts then, moving one hand to his crotch, threading leather through belt loops as he finally liberates himself. He bucks his hips slightly forward and you’re so close. So close to having him in your mouth.

You can smell him, musk and salt and skin. You tongue darts out, in anticipation of tasting him.

“You know what to do, Princess.” His tone is dripping with condescension now, but it turns you on. Makes you feel safe, even. “Go slow, don’t strain yourself.”

You part your lips, readying to sink down on his appealing, veined length, the head of him flushed purple with want.

You want him; but you know how to get him.

You hesitate, and then, impatient, desperate, needy Nathan grabs you by the collar at the nape of your neck and shoves you down on him, surging up and into your throat.

This time you don’t even gag. He can use you all he wants - you like it when he does.

You work your lips and tongue along his length, enjoying the way Nathan uses the collar to drag you off of him when it gets too much. When he gets too close to coming undone. You enjoy the pressure you feel around your neck. In your throat. Enjoy the way him filling you up squeezes tears out of the corners of your eyes.

“Who do you belong to?” Nathan stutters darkly, when your mouth has him holding on by a thread, as thin and delicate as the spit trails linking your lips to his cock.

“I’m yours, Nathan,” you sing-song obediently, and with a groan he shoves back into you, every pulse of his cum down your throat showing you how much he loves that you belong to him.

“Mine,” he growls, his hips bucking up into your mouth as he spills himself for you. “All mine.”

Funny - you think, as you eagerly swallow down the salt tang of him. You even think Nathan enjoyed your present just as much as you did. Maybe even a little more, so far; but you know it won’t be long before he evens out that score.

As much as I would love for that to happen, I am not the best writer in the slightest haha.

It was meant to be a fic to start off though! With a completely different idea! But the longer I tried to plot it out, the more I got different Ideas for this current au and decided to scrap the first draft 😅

If anyone wants to make a fic of the wings au, you are more than free too! I would sob and cry immensely and cherish the fic to the ends of time as well lol!!

The original wings AU idea is under the cut if anyone is interested :)!

Its the basic plot of HLVRAI, except Benrey has always been a winged alien species.

In his more human form, he just (very very uncomfortably and at times painfully) keeps his wings under his uniform. Boss fight Benrey has a completely different form (spoilers for future wing au stuff I am still working on)

Fic would have started off a looong while after hlvrai, Benrey respawns in the middle of winter and wanders to Gordons house. Gordon finds him absolutely messed up (im a sucker for “benrey respawns with his final boss injuries and Gordon/science team has to help him heal” aus haha) and basically passing out in the snow, taking him in to help warm him up.

Gordon tends to Benreys wounds until he wakes and tries to keep him warm. Benrey begins complaining about being uncomfortable and needing to “stretch”, Gordon has no idea what in the world this means, but encourages Benrey to do so, mainly due to mostly forgiving Benrey and wanting to try to fix their relationship.

Wings reveal happens, Gordon tries to keep his calm but is also loosing his mind trying to comprehend that Benrey had this under his vest. The. Entire. Time.

Benreys wings are obviously very messed up. Gordon had a pet bird growing up who had issues preening itself, so he knows how to preen wings as well as a human could, so he helps Benrey fix up his wings. Gayness ensues :)

Hello! First off, just wanna say that your separated au is amazing and your art just brings me to life (sorry I'm on anon, I'm shy)! But I did wanna say your recent picture about the brothers helping with Donnie's hallucinations and disassociations is very well thought out. Both my wife and I disassociate and my wife has visual and audio hallucinations while I suffer from paranoid delusions. Typically it depends on the person with how to go about it but I am very much like Leo where I will just tell her to ignore it and give reassurances. Sometimes I try to make it funny (because they are frightening at times) and I pretend to fight the hallucinations and tell my wife that her fears are valid and I acknowledge they are real to her but they are not actually real. Which soothes her cause she likes the reminders. Again it depends on the person! But I can't help but find it funny/sweet to imagine the brothers doing the same!

Thank you so much for the kind words and sharing! This makes me so so relieved to hear that Donnie’s story has a true feeling to it. I’ve been so happy to hear from a few different ppl now that my AU version of Donnie is really connecting with them!

I do have to admit, I’ve been so worried about falling into harmful tropes. I can kinda get carried away with drawing horror and gore and especially these last few pages of my comic I’ve felt like I had to go through a few drafts and tone things down with each one lol 😅, but no matter how much trauma I will put him through I do still wanna be authentic with Donnie’s depiction and daily life. I know angst is not everyone’s cup of tea, but that’s why I have those little moments as well, to give everyone a breather. These boys needs some dang rest sometimes, just like everyone else.

(And don’t ever feel bad for being on anon! Unless ppl are using it to be mean, anon is a great feature!)

Vons definitely come the farthest in terms of design, from big beefy maelstrom to like.. wet rat white boy energy I guess lol. When I first made Midas my main goal was a dark moody playboy, which definitely stayed the same just in a radically different way. His OG personality was a playful and dramatic womanizer which I loved but I needed a straight man in this group of idiots and he had to be it. big brother and little sister type of relationship. she would go to chris for advice and whatnot and he would look out for her. she’s present in a lot of his lives. she’ll just be in the background chilling on her phone while he talks to stay. she’ll but in to make fun of him. she’ll call him before she goes to the convenience store to ask him if he wants anything. she’ll get him something even though he says no. chris will sometimes watch her play the drums. he really likes to listen to her play. they’re probably the least that bicker.

they flirt SO MUCH. like you’ll almost suspect they’re hiding something (they probably are). they have so much love for each other. they’ll rant about each other on bubble too. like she’ll say “Lee know is so annoying today 😅” and he’ll say “Did everyone see Sage today? She’s gorgeous 🥰”. It looks like one-sided love but she’ll reassure him she loves him back.

changbin

the cute little athletic pair. every time changbin goes to the gym, sage tags along. if he needed to be spotted, she’ll spot him. she’ll give him a platonic kiss on the cheek as a good job. ofc they’ll go on a little food date after. if sage had a nightmare, the first room she’d go to is changbins (plan b is minho 🤭). cuddling til she feels better than leaves. because she thinks his room smells like dirty socks too much, it gives her a headache.

hyunjin

her relationship with hyunjin is a teeny like minho and hers. they’re extremely affectionate and lovey dovey. he sometimes even pays to get her nails done. they’ll get coffee and paint together or just go for a walk together. (they def have matching pfps on bubble). no I don’t think you get it, they’re so cute and kind to each other. he’s present in the background of a lot of the covers she posts. you KNOW they have a lot of tiktok drafts :). the reason they’re so attached is because they’ve known each other since they were kids. they kinda trained and joined jype together. they’ve grown to have a soft spot for one another.

she’s loud and obnoxious with him, she don’t care!!! she’s usually laid back and quiet but she’ll pick times to be annoying with him. she helps him write some songs with him if he needs the help. she’ll record some demos for him if he needs it too! they’ll have freestyle rap battles 💀. you’ll sometimes hear them laughing so fucking hard at 4am at the stupidest shit. she’ll show him how play the drums when they’re bored. she smack him playfully when he gets something wrong (secretly thinks it’s cute). they obviously bicker the most.

felix

your average little sweethearts. lix does her the justice and just talks to her in english most of the time. even after ALLLLL these years, sage’s korean is still bad. in one of the vlogs she has uploaded, it shows her and yongbok baking of course. they do that a lot together while blaring music they enjoy. she’ll drag him to go play soccer with her. she’ll giggle at lix a little when he misses the ball. they go on a lot of coffee dates. just to catch up and hang out, they miss having each others company. even though if they’re apart for a day or however long, they always miss each other.

LITTLE BESTIES!!! THEY’RE SO FREAKIN’ CUTE!!! she often babies him. she doesn’t care if she’s younger, she’ll baby him to the max. she admires him and can just share at his beauty. he can do the same, there’s footage of him just straight on staring at her with a smile while she’s explaining something. she loves listening to chill music with him while they’re relaxing. that’s how she would spend her off days. with seungmin.

little siblings!!! being the youngest two in the group, they hang out a lot. they totally binge tiktok together, getting so happy and giggly if they ever come across a stays tiktok. they kinda have a little boys in middle school type of friendship. always hanging out together and having a good time. she spills drama to him even if he doesn’t care, she has to tell someone! and that someone is yang jeongin!! they’ll do daily fit checks together on instagram. they’re a stylish and funny duo.

so I went to exit my emotions in Germany last weekend, details below:

we went to the shows in Berlin & Leipzig, with a VIP experience for the latter

and guyyyyyyyyssss let me tell you, BC really did not lie when they said we were there to Exit our Emotions 😩 the shows went straight to the very top of my personal BC shows list, the energy was amazing and all the new songs sounded incredible live, even the ones that weren't necessarily my #1 favourites, like Where's the Exit and Wolves in California. Especially the former sounds sooooooooooooooo good live 💖

and because I was there mainly to enjoy myself and to exit the fuck out of my stupid useless emotions, I barely took any videos or pictures (I never take pictures anyway, how do y'all manage to take such amazing shots at shows?!) despite having relatively good spots to do so. I kinda wish I had more so I could think back to the shows afterwards, but on the other hand I felt like I got way more out of the show when I put my undivided focus on it, and besides indoor shows are always challenging on that regard due to the flashing lights etc. and I felt like every time I was going to film the lighting was not appropriate so in the end I just couldn't bother 😅

I don't really have much else to report from Berlin other than that the venue was great, I had an excellent view and had the best time ever 🥰

not least because I met so many BC tumblr friends!! it was so nice seeing everyone, please come to the Nokia Arena show y'all, we'll be your host it's hocus pocus 🥺

and then there was Leipzig 🥴

I mean, this is my initial reaction immediately after it (written in my drafts):

but yeah, as you can see from this post, @exitemotions and I had bought some silly little gifts to give the guys (rock hand glass markers not pictured), and we were so incredibly chill about the whole thing, like, NO ONE has ever been as chill as we were in advance of the VIP experience, I'm tellin' ya 💅

(we were so chill in fact that when we came back to the hotel room afterwards, we noticed we had forgotten the ceiling light on. you know, because that's how chill and zen and calm we had been upon leaving for the venue 💅💅💅💅💅)

the acoustic set was fucking cute, almost like a little campfire hangout 🥺

about giving the gifts and having our pictures taken: I feel like I was working on some kind of autopilot and can barely remember much anything 🙃 which I'm kinda mad at myself about lol, but I guess the guys liked the gifts (Olli said the glass markers were important, as my foreword for them was that they'd no longer have to fight about which glass/cup was whose, and I remember Tommi saying that socks are always useful. the others are owners of feet as well, so I suppose they agree 🧦)

we had made all sorts of grand plans for our individual pictures with the band but ended up with having "regular" ones after all, because while there was no feeling of rush per se at the m&g, everything was still happening relatively fast and sort of in their own course, and if we had wanted to do any funny poses or whatever, we should've been faster and in a little...sharper mental state to ask for them 😂😭

but we were chill though, I promise 💅

(I'm just cringing at myself so hard because I look like a fucking teacher standing for a class photograph 😂💀 it's funnier if you know I'm actually a teacher lol)

during the show we were on 2-3 row because we kinda missed our cue to run and reserve our spots before the acoustic set. personally I blame Santeri the tour manager for this (and also the fact that there were so many people there who had already been to VIP on this tour before, so they knew what to do 🤷‍♀️ meanwhile we were just left standing like "...wat 🧍‍♂️")

the show was just as great as the Berlin one, I honestly can't put them in order because they were both amazing and really made me forget about my sad little life 🖤

Rock Band From Hell was also alright. the one with no shirt on was hot

Ghost Kid was cool too. the one with no shirt on was hot

...so hot in fact that I already fell in love with him at the Berlin gig, and so when we were on our way to the merch booth after the Leipzig show, we ran into him and I flirted chatted with him a bit and had my picture taken with him 🥰 he was soooooo sweet and funny and I hope he'll stay true to his promise and keep the thing I said to him ('the drummer of BC could never [swirl the drumstick in his fingers in between every beat like you do]') "just between you and me" 🤭

from the merch booth I bought the XOXO longsleeve which looks super nice (sadly the quality isn't as super though dfgdgdsdh)

the next day it was time to return home, and as @kraeuterhexchen was seeing me to my platform at the railway station, I broke into tears in the middle of an escalator and didn't stop crying until boarding my plane lol

it's just that I was really nervous about travelling back to the airport from Leipzig because I had two changes of trains and the horror stories I've heard of Deutsche Bahn always being late were only adding to it, and that stress somehow triggered some sort of emotional meltdown in me and I realised the trip that I had been waiting for 6 MONTHS was now ending?? there had been so much talk about how we'd "do this and that when we go to Berlin/Leipzig and see BC" and now it's all done and gone and ?????? how does one move on after that 😭

but mostly I've been crying about the gift I gave to Olli 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

some of you have already heard about this, but I had made Olli this pin cushion ring:

...because I wanted to "support his sewing hobby", as I told him then sdhfhdfhfhfh

he seemed to really appreciate it, and as I demonstrated how handy it was (because you can wear it and easily put the pins there while sewing instead of having to reach to a pin cushion further away on the table), he told me he only had this huge pin cushion ("a brick" he called it, the one you can see on this video), and aaaahhhhh I'M SO ANGRY AT MYSELF for not remembering much else or barely daring to even look at him to see his reaction 😭 I do remember he got very excited when he heard he was getting a sewing-related gift though ("yessss" he said, if my memory doesn't fail me too bad) 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

and I'm so sad I didn't even get a picture of him with it, because Joona the photographer was in the possession of my phone at that moment 😔 and I also forgot to tell him I had made it myself, though I believe it's self-evident. but, you know. still 😭

and the reason why I've been so emotional about it is because I had made the ring weeks ago already, shortly after the album release event, and since then I have admired it every day (because hellooooo is it not the cutest?!) and I had imagined all the scenarios in which I'd give it to him, what I'd say about it and how he'd react to it (I wondered if he'd even know what it was, but of course he immediately recognized it as a pin cushion when I showed it to him 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭), and yesterday it just suddenly hit me that when I'd be back home, the ring would no longer be there on my table for me to admire and hold in my hands, because Olli has it now? it's OLLI'S now, as intented, and yeah idk why but even now, two days later, I'm still literally crying about it as I'm writing this because I had grown strangely attached to that silly trinket and now I'll probably never see it again 🥺😭 (I guess I should just make one for myself too lol, my old one that I made almost 17 years ago is a wee bit shabby)

anyway, if anyone sees him, can you please tell him to take good care of it 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

the world's biggest thanks to everyone who I hung out with on this trip, but especially to @kraeuterhexchen whose stunning art I can now admire in calendar form on my kitchen wall every month of the year (yes I shall keep you updated):

I finally listened to Hadestown! 🎉

Starting with the Original Cast Recording, ‘cause might as well do it in release order. Loved it! Groovy music. Snickered. Cried. Wrote down my reaction as I went, so if you're chill with rambled thoughts and observations, here you go lol
