So I'm currently stuck in the airport due to weather delays (and have been for the last two hours L.O.L. 🙃). How would the members of Stray Kids handle this situation/help pass the time?

bangchan
you can't tell me this man is going to do anything other than sleep
like.... oh my plane has been delayed? okay then, wake me up in 3 hours ig...
that's so him
he's got his travel pillow wrapped around his neck already so he can pretty much fall asleep at any given point if he feels like it
so who's gonna stop him?? cos i ain't???
minho
he will go on a little walk around the airport
grabs a good ol' starbucks frappuccino and goes about his business, gazing around the shops for nothing in particular
might get some cute little gifts for his friends or his cats while he's at it
but overall he's just walking around like the model he is, probably stealing a few people's hearts in the process
like you can't tell me he won't be your airport crush if you saw him in that setting fr
changbin
gets a meal for himself because he's been waiting so long and he still isn't on the plane yet??
ain't no way he's paying for that overpriced stuff of the plane, nuh-uh
so he gets a takeaway and likely spends the rest of his time on his phone, texting someone and ranting about his delayed flight on the internet
but overall his mind is preoccupied. he keeps checking to see if it's finally time for his departure after waiting so long
hyunjin
might just whip out his sketchbook and start drawing the pretty people he sees when waiting in the seating area
either that or he's hititng th eshops
and it's not like he needs any new stuff, but he ends up buying new clothes and accessories for his trip just because he can
and honestly, i don't blame him. it's a bit of fun!
might also buy a book, for good measure
jisung
another sleeper
he's already done. like he doesn't wanna be there and is frustrated that he has to wait more time for his plane to arrive
so he might have a little snooze if he can
either that or he's popping his headphones on and walking around, seeing if there is anything that could possibly peak his interest while he waits for his plane
felix
plays game son his phone most of the time
i mean
he's got enough games on there to last him the whole day anyway so why not put them to good use!
but if he gets that bordd he might do a lil shopping spree, definitely getting some sort of croissant or other baked good to keep him going
i also see him buying little knick-knacks and gifts for people because my boy loves giving <3
seungmin
he's got a few books packed, so he might grab one and dig into it while he waits for the plane
but if the book isn't grabbing him, he might go for a walk around the airport, earphones in as he window-shops with no intention to buy anything
he is also a keen people-watcher, which is a great habit to have at the airport because there is so many different people from every walks of life. it's safe to say he's going to have fun observing people and lowkey judging them lmao
jeongin
hits all the shops
and the food hall of course
to pass the time, he wants to eat different types of food
1, because he's hungry. 2, because he's bored. but 3, he thinks that if he fills up on food that when he does get on the plane, he if more likely to fall asleep, making his plane ride ultimately more quicker. that's pretty smart tbh

Valentine’s Day. You couldn’t be more unimpressed with the holiday. After all, who wants to celebrate only one day of being in love with someone? Luckily for you, you were back home with your sisters; the feeling of home always made everything better. You could say that maybe you were a little jealous of the holiday because you had never been in love before until recently. Needless to say, Valentine’s Day was your least favorite holiday and it would probably stay that way even in your relationship. It wasn’t that way for Elvis however, he was excited for the holiday. When he would call, he would make subtle hints about your upcoming trip to Vegas and how he couldn’t wait for you to see your surprises.
Ever since you had started seeing Elvis, he has always had a thing for spoiling you. You would try to turn away some gifts, but he didn’t really like it all too much, so you would give in, accepting everything that he gave you. Estelle and Cissy would joke about how they never saw a Drinkard woman covered in so much fur and diamonds, it made them jealous. You, on the other hand, weren’t overjoyed about being out and about with valuable jewelry and minks on, but when you were in Elvis’ world, it was all or nothing. So, you sucked up your pride and made yourself stand out as much as you could when you were out in public with him.
“What should I pack for this trip to Vegas, Cissy?”
“Make sure you have a nice dress, Songbird. Oh! That lingerie set that you bought before you left Vegas, Elvis never saw that on you, right?” Dee Dee sat on your bed, her fingers playing with her Afro as she watched you move around your bedroom, shoving clothes and accessories into your suitcase. Cissy sat beside her, nodding slowly as she agreed with her older sister. “After all, you’re his Bird now. We can only tell you what you want to hear, not what we think.” She laughed, Dee Dee raising a brow at her before shaking her head.
“Don’t pay this fool no mind. We know how much you hate Valentine’s Day. But it shouldn’t be that way this year, you’re in a very serious relationship with the biggest superstar of our time. Songbird, just promise us that you’ll go and enjoy yourself. Don’t be out there in Vegas like a bump on a log.” You let out a sigh, knowing that Elvis worked hard to provide a wonderful Valentine’s Day for you, so you could at least show your appreciation for embracing the stupid holiday. “I love him enough to travel to Vegas to celebrate. Look at that, baby steps.” You uttered, zipping up your suitcase before turning to your sisters.
“Now which one of you lucky ladies is gonna drive me to the airport?”
It ended up being Cissy, who drove you to the airport the following day. As you said your goodbyes and made your way to the proper terminal where your flight was, you could feel your heart pumping in your chest at the thought of being with Elvis once again. The flight went well, but you were nervous beyond measure at the thought of being back in Vegas after a short little break. As you exited your flight, you noticed couples everywhere, holding and smooching on one another. You grimaced, making your way out of the airport with your luggage. God, could it be more obvious?
“Hey Bird! Don’t just stand there!” Your head snapped over to your sister Myrna who was waving at you from a car. “Jerry and I have been waiting for about an hour for you, come on!” She yelled, nudging the brown haired man who stood next to her with his sunglasses covering his face. You knew from anywhere that it was Jerry, his suaveness always seemed to stick out. You ran over to your sister, wrapping your arms around her shoulders as you hugged her tightly. “How has California been treating you, Myrna? Jerry’s been treating you well?” You playfully glared at the man, who grabbed your suitcase before sticking his tongue out at you.
“I’ll have you know, Little Bird. Jerry has been a southern gentleman. California is nice, but we aren’t here to talk about me! We are here to talk about you and Elvis! I heard he has some fancy things for you tonight, honey!” She got into the car, turning around from the passenger seat to eye you as you got comfortable in the back. “He won’t tell me what he has planned, but yes, he has something planned for me and I’m honestly nervous. I’m sure that it’s nothing too serious, but I don’t think I’m ready for whatever it is. You know I hate Valentine’s Day!” You crossed your arms as you looked out of the window.
“I know, honey. But, this is your first Valentine’s Day being with the man that you love. You should be excited.” She giggled as she took Jerry by the hand as he made his way back to the Hilton, where Elvis has been staying ever since the break of the engagement began. He didn’t stay there all of the time, in fact, there were some times that you would go visit him in Memphis where you would spend all of your time in his arms or underneath him. You shook the memory out of your head as you eyed Myrna as the car made its way into the Hilton’s parking garage. “I am excited, I’m so excited that I have butterflies in my stomach. I just don’t think this holiday will be my thing though, you know how cringy these couples can be.”
Myrna raised her eyebrow as she shook her head. “Oh whatever, Bird. You’re just not used to being in love, but that’s alright! Elvis has definitely shown us how serious he is about you. It’s time that you do the same.” You knew that she was right, nodding your head in agreement that you would at least enjoy the presents that your boyfriend had for you, without feeling as if it was an obligation only for the namesake of a day. Jerry had removed your luggage from his car, handing the keys over to your sister as he stated that he would meet with Elvis for their meeting that they were having while Myrna took you out on the town to get you ready for the night. “Tell Elvis that he better have everything ready by the time that Y/N and I arrive after the sun sets, honey. He has all this free time to have things done, Songbird deserves a wonderful night.”
Jerry nodded his head as he pressed a kiss to her lips, before turning away from you both, disappearing in the doors that led into the hotel. Myrna pushed you into the passenger's side of Jerry’s car before she got into the driver's side, pulling out of the parking garage as she headed into town. “Let’s go get you dolled up for your man.” She giggled as she had a whole day planned for you to get pampered. The first thing that you did with Myrna was head to the local salon, as she stated on more than one occasion that you couldn’t knock Elvis off of his feet without having your hair properly done. As you walked inside of the salon with your sister, your brow raised as you noticed that there was no one inside. “Maybe they aren’t accepting customers yet, Myrna. Why don’t we-?” She rolled her eyes as she pushed you into the salon chair, turning you around towards the mirror.
“Now you know that I’m not letting a random stranger fool with my sister’s hair. I got everything covered.” Myrna was usually the one who would always fix your hair when you were getting ready for dates or even for shows at the Hilton, so it wasn’t a surprise that she wanted to fix up your hair for your night with Elvis. After she washed your hair, she pushed you back into the salon chair, sprucing up your hair in such a way that you had never seen her do before. Your hair was pressed out, little ringlets of your curls began to form as she pinned your hair up before placing a diamond laced clip in your head, pinning your curly hair neatly into a bee-hive type hairdo. “Wow, Songbird. You’ve pulled off this hairstyle better than I thought you would have.” She giggled, turning you around to see the finished product in the mirror.
Your breath caught in your throat as you noticed how beautiful your hair looked, imagining how you wanted Elvis to let your hair down as he took you repeatedly in his penthouse suite. Myrna could notice that the wheels were beginning to turn in your head, rolling her eyes as she shook her head. “Focus, bird. You have plenty of time to think about your little rendezvous with Elvis later.” You laughed as you hid your face behind your hands, a little heat moving up your neck as you let out a little giggle. “I swear, Myrna. It’s not what you think.” You giggled, eliciting a little ‘mhm’ from her as she turned her head to face you. “Keep your nasty thoughts to yourself, Y/N. I don’t wanna vomit on this special day.” She taunted you, turning your chair around to face her as she snapped her fingers.
A couple of women entered the room, carrying an assortment of polishes and makeup boxes in their hands. “I thought it was only gonna be you fixing me up?” You crossed your arms, already done with the day. You knew that she had a few tricks up her sleeve, but she knew that you would deny her if she told you what she had planned for you. “Hush! You wanna look good for your hunk later on, don’t you? Well, this wasn’t planned by me. It was planned by him. One of your little surprises, so to speak.” Your face heated up once again, the thought of Elvis hiring these women to fix you made the butterflies that you already had flutter up into your chest.
“This sly man, always having surprises up his sleeve. Alright, well, let’s get on with it so I can thank him properly.” You wiggled your brows as Myrna stuck out her tongue in faux disgust, going over to sit down in the waiting area. Olivia, the woman who was working on your makeup was a huge fan of the Sweets, gushing about how she adored your music and your relationship with Elvis. “I wouldn’t ever think that Elvis Presley would ask us to do his lady’s makeup, I’m literally trying to keep myself together.” She giggled.
You smiled as she added the right amount of mascara to your eyes, ensuring that she didn’t cake it on like you asked her.  “I’m glad that he asked you to do this for me, I really can’t thank you enough, darling.” You smiled, looking up at her as she finished your makeup. “Could I maybe get an autograph, Y/N? I may not get this opportunity again.” She handed you a piece of paper and a pen, a huge smile on her face. You nodded, writing your signature before placing the paper up to your lips, getting a bit of your lipstick on the paper before handing it to her. “When the engagement kicks up again, come by and see the show! I would love to have you there.” You smiled as she blushed, her smile beaming brightly as she nodded her head. “I wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world! You’re so sweet! Thank you.”
Tumblr media
Your nails were finally next, opting out the normal red polish that you would go for. You decided that a nice pink would suffice, something that you knew Elvis would love more than anything. Once your manicure and pedicure was finished, Myrna returned to your side as she tugged you out of the salon. At that time, the sun was beginning to hide behind the clouds. “Don’t worry, I already have the right dress for this occasion. Let’s get you back to the hotel, I’m sure Elvis is dying to see his woman.” You giggled as you followed her, nerves getting the best of you as the ride back to the hotel gave you time to think about what Elvis had planned for you. Myrna arrived back to the parking garage where you were previously. She had a smirk on her lips as she led you into the hotel, pressing the elevator button repeatedly.
“What do you have planned for me, Myrna? You haven't spoken a word since we left the salon.” She turned to face you, a mischievous smile forming on her face as she pulled you into the elevator once the car arrived. “That’s for me to know and for you to find out, little bird.” You shook your head as you crossed your arms, the tune of Elvis filling in the silence between the both of you. One thing that hasn’t changed since you left was the hotel’s support of your boyfriend, humming along to The Wonder of You until you arrived on her floor. She stepped out of the elevator, skipping towards her hotel room that she shared with Jerry. Once you stepped inside, your eyes immediately took in the box that sat on the bed. “Open it, bird. I can’t wait to see what is inside.” She wiggled her brows as she led you over to the bed. You let out an exaggerated sigh, walking over to the wrapped box that was on the bed. There was a note that was attached to it, the handwriting making your heart leap into your throat. This was from Elvis, his handwriting sitting prettily on the card. You turned to Myrna as she shrugged her shoulders, plopping down on the bed as she handed the card to you.
Songbird,
I know you don’t like Valentine’s Day. But after tonight, I hope that you’ll enjoy bein’ loved by me, especially on this beautiful day. Don’t worry, Myrna helped me pick this out for ya. I can’t wait to see you in this get-up tonight, baby. You’ll look beautiful like always. I love you.
Elvis
This man was going to be the death of you. You placed the card back down on the bed, before ripping open the box. Inside of the box, surrounded by gift wrappers was a light pink dress, the material staring back at you as you picked it up from the box that it laid in. You didn’t miss the white lace that sat on the hem, chuckling as you thought that Elvis must’ve spent a lot of money for it. The next thing that appeared in your view nearly gave you a heart attack, your eyes nearly popping out of their sockets as you turned to face Myrna who was wearing her signature smirk on her face. However, once she looked into the box, she broke out in an uncontrollable laughter. Underneath the dress laid a pair of g-strings, but it wasn’t any normal pair of panties. The thong was covered in heart shaped candies, the different colors varying from pinks and blues. “Is he fucking kidding me? There’s no way I’m wearing this.”
“Oh yes, you are! He made it clear that he wanted you to wear everything that came out of this box.” Myrna spoke through her laughter, tears flowing down her cheeks as she clutched her stomach. It was clear that Elvis had a plan of his own, but you had no clue where the candy g-string would fit in. You sighed, placing the candy coated panties down next to the dress before looking into the box once again to see a lovely pair of pink pearled earrings that came with a pink diamond encrusted choker with his initials spelled out in the middle. “Go on, Elvis is probably waiting on you and the sun is starting to set.” Myrna pushed you into the bathroom, shutting the door after you. You rolled your eyes as you decided that you would grab a quick shower, making sure that your makeup stayed nice and neat. Luckily for you, Olivia decided to use waterproof mascara so it wasn’t affected as you stood under the warm stream of water that hit your body.
After your shower, you moisturized your bronzed skin before putting on the perfume that Myrna had sitting in her bathroom. You wrapped yourself in a robe, opening the bathroom door to see that Myrna had left. You walked up to the bed, picking up the blush colored bra that sat in the box, putting it on your body before begrudgingly sliding the candy g-string over your hips. Although it was covered with candy, the inside was soft as it sat on your vulva. You put on your dress, the material clinging on your curves in all of the right ways as you looked at yourself in the mirror. Yep, Elvis was definitely right about this being the dress for you. You slid on your pink blush heels before clipping the choker around your neck, rubbing your fingers along the diamond encrusted EP that sat on your chest. Once you were completely dressed, you grabbed your clutch as you heard a knock on the door.
You opened the door to see Red standing at the door with a bouquet of pink roses in his arms. “You look beautiful, Y/N. These are for you.” He handed the roses to you, a giggle passing your lips as you uttered a quick word of thanks to him as you closed the door behind you. “Myrna is with Jerry?” You asked, tilting your head up to Red, smiling softly as he nodded in affirmation that she was safe with her boyfriend. After everything that happened with Ellis, you didn’t want her to be alone. Red led you over to the elevator, the butterflies returning once again as you entered the car. Red pressed the button that led up to the penthouse suite. On the ride up, Red engaged in a little conversation with you, asking you about how your sisters were doing and how you were while you were away from everyone. “We are doing fine, Red. We just miss being here in Vegas.” You giggled as you heard the ding of the elevator, indicating that you were finally at the penthouse.
Red didn’t leave the elevator, sending a wink in your direction as you stepped off. You turned around, slightly waving at him before the doors closed in your face. You took a deep breath, making your way over to the door before knocking. You were completely nervous, forgetting to use your code that let him know that it was you. The door swung open to reveal Elvis in all of his glory, his red blouse slightly revealed his tanned chest. You bit your bottom lip, clutching the bouquet of roses in your hands as you smiled sweetly at him. “Songbird, you look breathtakin’.” He let out a groan, wrapping his arms around you, his hands lingering on the swell of your ass. You hummed, taking in his scent that drove you crazy as you nuzzled into his neck. He pulled away, your right hand rubbing away a little of your makeup that got on his shirt before he stepped away from the door.
You walked inside, your eyes lingering around the room with a look of awe over your face. The room was dim; candles placed on every bit of surface that filled up the room, rose petals strewn on the floor and the bed, a heart drawn neatly on the sheets. On the dining room table lay chocolate covered strawberries and different heart candies and multiple bottles of champagne with wine glasses sitting next to them. You turned to see Elvis standing behind you, his arms crossed as he smiled down at you. “You did all of this for me?” You giggled as you turned back to face the dressed up room before you, placing the bouquet of flowers on the bar next to you before walking up to the table, grabbing a candy before plopping it in your mouth. It was your favorite, with the different messages varying from ‘be mine’ and ‘luv you’. “Well before we dig into those sweets, I have dinner made for us, baby.” Elvis spoke, your head turning to look at the plates that were made up of various foods from steak to lobster. “Lord, Elvis. You’ve gone all out.” You walked happily over to the coffee table, sitting down before waving him over to you. “Well, let’s eat then, honey.” You giggled, picking up your fork as Elvis walked over to where you were sitting, a smile still lingering on his face.
As you both ate dinner, you listened to Elvis talk about things that happened while you were away. You didn’t speak about the ordeal with Ellis, knowing that Elvis wanted to forget about everything. So, you both shared things that you felt comfortable talking about. You even told him that you were trying your hand on songwriting, wanting to write your own songs. “That’s so good to hear, baby! Maybe you can write a couple for me.” You nodded as you placed your fork down, semi full from the food and the little conversation that you found yourself having with your boyfriend. “Here, let’s go over and dig into those strawberries.” Elvis took you by the hand as he led you over to the dining room table where the sweets were sitting. He wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, placing his chin where your neck and shoulder met. Your fingers picked up the chocolate covered strawberry, taking a bite out of it as a moan passed your lips.
“Ya like it, mama? I know ya don’t like Valentine’s Day very much, but I figured ya would like a lil’ somethin’ different.” He spoke, his southern twang making your thighs rub together. You pulled your arm up to place the strawberry into his mouth, tugging at your bottom lip as you noticed the chocolate smeared at the corners of his lips. You turned around in his arms, wiping the chocolate from his lips before placing your finger into your mouth, the look of lust coating your brown eyes as you watched his adam’s apple bounce in his throat. “I don’t care for the idea of today, but I know that you love me all of the other days, so I figured I would give it a shot.” You giggled as your fingers caressed the material of his shirt, leaning up to press your lips to his in a soft kiss. Elvis groaned against your lips, his hands grabbing your ass firmly as he sat you against the table.
“Good lord almight’, mama. Ya’s sure do know how to get a man goin’.” He spoke, his words slightly slurring together as your fingers scraped against his scalp. He moaned as his lips peppered kisses along your neck, taking in your scent as his hands moved up your thighs. You giggled as you tilted your head back slightly, giving him more access to your skin as he licked and sucked bruises on your shoulder. “Baby, we haven’t even opened the champagne yet.” He shook his head as he placed his hands up underneath your thighs, picking you up in his arms as he placed you down on the table. “Fuck the champagne, mama. I gotta have ya now.” His voice rustled deep, sending vibrations against your skin as he pushed the candies and the chocolate covered strawberries further down the table. You hummed as he pulled your heels off of your feet, massaging the sole of your feet as his lips continued sucking on your skin.
You moaned out softly, the feeling of his fingers pressing into your feet sent shivers up your spine. Elvis sunk down to his knees, pressing soft kisses to the soles of your feet before his tongue left his lips, dragging a stripe up the side before wrapping his lips around your toes. Your eyes rolled into your head as you tilted your head back, whimpering as his mouth licked and kissed at your toes. You weren’t the type for foot play, but you couldn’t tell Elvis no on anything. He had you wrapped around his finger, knowing every little thing that he did would turn your world upside down. As he pulled away from your foot, his lips moved up your leg, nipping and biting on the supple skin before he spread your thighs for him. Your dress was pushed up over your thighs; revealing the candy g-string to him as a smirk crossed his lips. “I see my lil’ chocolate mama wore the candy g-string for me. Such a wonderful sight, mama.”
His lips moved up your thighs as his hands caressed your hips, grunts passing his lips as he kissed every part of your skin. His tongue pressed down against the front of the candy g-string that sat over your hips, the heat from his mouth made your mouth drop open as no words were able to pass through. “Elvis.” You moaned out, your eyes slightly closed but you could still make out his silhouette in between your legs. “Mm, chocolate, you taste better than those damned strawberries.” He chuckled, his tongue rubbing against the candy once again. As his tongue rubbed against the candy that held the g-string together, you could feel it rub against your clit, sending shockwaves of pleasure through your body. “Fuck, please…don’t tease me, baby.” You whimpered as your toes curled from the pleasure of his mouth on you.
Elvis knew that what he was doing had some effect on you, so he decided to move his tongue from where it was before placing his fingers over the front of the g-string, rubbing the now damp candies against your pussy. You howled out in ecstacy, your head tilted back as the candies rubbed circles on your clit. You were shivering, goosebumps appearing upon your skin as your fingers dug into the wood of the dining room table. “Ya like that, mama? Does that feel good for ya? Tell your man what yer feelin’.” His voice held a deep octave, filling your ears nicely as you struggled to form words on your tongue. “Fuck, it feels so good baby! Please don’t stop!” You screamed as one of the candies hooked onto your clit, your arms shaking as you struggled to keep yourself up. Elvis roared from your screams, his teeth hooking on one of the candies before ripping it off of you. The candies flew all over the floor, the string hanging in between his teeth.
His eyes looked up at you, the bedroom eyes that he always held meant differently this time around. “Looks like I made a mess already before we even started.” He chuckled as he spit the string out, pulling your hips close as he dug his face into your pussy. You hummed, feeling the coil in your stomach appear as his tongue lapped up the stickiness that the candy left on you. The sucking noises that he was making as his lips wrapped around your clit sent you over the edge, your orgasm crashing over you. Your juices poured out of you, coating his face as he continued eating you through your orgasm. You were pushing his head back away from you, the stimulation becoming too much to bear but he wasn’t letting up. “I know you got another for me, chocolate. Come on, give it to me.” He whispered as his long digit slides inside of you, your pussy clenching around it.
You hissed, your hips twitching as you laid back on the table, giving him more room to continue his assault on your twitching vulva. He placed your legs over his shoulders, pushing his finger knuckle-deep inside as his lips kissed your pussy lips sloppily. “Elvis, please. I can’t-,” Elvis chuckled as his tongue drug against your lips, taking one of them between his teeth. Your legs kicked up, digging into his back as his lips wrapped around your clit once more as he sucked harshly. Incoherent words were pooling out of your lips as you chanted his name repeatedly as he edged you towards another orgasm. “That’s it, chocolate. I know yer close for me.” He moaned as his fingers curled inside of you, pressing against your g-spot. He was rutting against your pussy, his hand managed to unbutton his trousers to release his hardened member. His hand was wrapped around his cock, rubbing the dribble of precum that dripped out of his slit around the tip as he moaned against you.
Your whimpers were growing by the second, shivers passing your body in droves as he continued sucking your clit firmly. At that moment, your second orgasm crashed around you, sending you convulsing on the table. The ringing in your ears drowned out yours and his moans as your eyes crossed into your head. Elvis pulled away from you, his hooded eyes watching you as he licked up your juices off of his lips. You laid there limp as he scooped you up into his arms, holding you against his chest as he walked over to the bed. You opened your eyes slowly; watching as Elvis unbuttoned his blouse, his cock pressed against his stomach as he watched you hungrily. He pulled his trousers down over his cock, groaning as the material ran over his sensitive member before stepping out of them. “You’re so beautiful, Elvis.” You managed to squeak out as your body shivered with need, eyes roaming his body.
He smirked, his lip curled as he crawled on top of you. He grabbed your legs once again, wrapping them around his waist as he wasted no time to plunge deep inside of you. Your breath caught in your chest, immediately wrapping your arms around his shoulders as you pulled him down to connect your lips to his. Elvis groaned against your lips as his hips slowly pumped against you. “Yer so tight, chocolate. Like you’re made just for me.” He whispered against your lips as you grinded against him, your brown eyes locked on his cerulean hues as he stared deep into your soul. Your fingers rubbed against the nape of his neck, the heat between the two of you made your heart soar. His hands roamed your body, pulling the straps of your dress down your shoulders along with the straps of your bra, revealing your breasts to him. He moved his lips down your shoulders, his hips still moving slowly at this moment before wrapping around your nipple. You let out a whine, carting your fingers into his hair before tugging on his strands, causing him to slam his hips hard against you.
As his cock slammed into you, he bit down on your nipple before tugging at it with a roar passing his lips. You held on to the strands of his hair as his hips unrestrainedly pounded into you. The sounds of the skin slapping filled the room as he didn’t ease up his pace, his necklace slapping against your chin as he continued looking into your eyes. “There it is, mama. I can feel ya clenchin’ around me.” He whispered into your ear as you clenched around him. At this point, the beads of sweat glistened on your bronze skin, the coil in your stomach tightening so tightly that you couldn’t breathe. “Elvis, don’t stop baby. I’m gonna fucking cum.”
Elvis chuckled, placing his hand around your throat as he held on, grunting with each thrust that connected to your body. The coil in your belly snapped; your juices shooting out of your pussy, covering his pelvis and his stomach as you shook on the bed from the overstimulation. Elvis continued pounding into you, the sight of you squirting brought a smile on his face as he fucked you through your orgasm. It wasn’t long after that Elvis’ hips started to stutter, hips slowing slightly as his darkened blues burned a hole into your face. “You want my cum, chocolate? Want Daddy to fill ya with my cream?” He asked, tilting his head to the side as the top of his cock continued pressing into your g-spot.
“Yes, Daddy. Please fill me with your cum.” You whispered, legs shaking like gelatin as his grunts grew louder. Elvis stuttered, spurts of cum shooting out of him, coating your walls. You hummed as you patted the back of his head, pulling him down to kiss your lips deeply. “Happy Valentine’s Day, Chocolate Mama. I hope I changed your views on today.” He spoke with such conviction, his cerulean hues beaming brightly as he pulled out of you. You tiredly nodded your head, letting out a hum as the emptiness made you pout. Elvis grabbed your hand, placing it against his lips before he moved off of the bed. You sat up on your elbow, pulling the sheets around your body as your eyes watched your boyfriend disappear into the bathroom.
The sound of water soothed you, your brow raising as you watched him enter back into the bedroom. He scooped you up in his arms, walking into the bathroom where you took in the sight of bubbles and rose petals filling the round tub that sat in his extravagant bathroom. “A late night bath, honey? You shouldn’t have.” You giggled, hiding your face in his chest. “If I’m gonna spoil ya, I’m going all the way, mama. There’s no half assing on my account, not now nor ever.” He pulled the sheets from around your body before sitting you into the warm water. Your muscles contracted as you let out a sigh, bubbles in between your fingers as you took in the view from the window beside you.
Elvis turned off the water, climbing in behind you before wrapping his arms around you. You leaned into his embrace, humming happily as you turned to face him. “Thank you for all of this, Elvis. This is one of the best presents I’ve ever gotten in my life.” Elvis beamed with happiness, grabbing the wash cloth from the side of the tub before squeezing body wash on the material. He softly scrubbed your skin, his lips leaving little kisses on your skin as he cleaned your body. You turned around completely to face him as you grabbed another spare cloth, squeezing a glob of body wash on it before scrubbing his chest.
You watched as your boyfriend fought to keep his eyes open, your fingers rubbing circles on his chest as he fell into slumber. “Happy Valentine’s Day, Elvis. I love you.” You whispered, getting nothing in return but soft snores. You giggled, mentally thanking your sister and his friends for helping your lover plan the perfect Valentine’s Day gift. Valentine’s Day is surely a holiday that you could get behind, especially being Elvis Presley’s girl.

travelling with argos episode 2: tokyo
Tumblr media
you know that the first thing you will do after landing is shopping right?
let's just say Argos would totally indulge and try out new clothing styles and would look completely different everyday
there are soooo many japanese street styles that it's really hard to choose which one to try but for Argos it's like going to a new void and bringing back plants: just do it, try out stuff and experience new things everytime!
you would go to cat café's and overall cute café's like sanrio or hello kitty ones, pusheen and anime/manga ones and so on and so on
he would totally read a lot of mangas
I could see him especially loving the very cute or psycho ones (death note, tokyo ghoul, assassination classroom)
you guys NEED TO GO to a Hatsune Mikuuuuu concert, you just need to
he loves her music so much and thinks she's extremely cuteee
you will probably either stay in a really cute hotel or in a love hotel (don't ask me why, it's about the experience)
you guys will visit lots of sights (obviously) and go to a classic japanese temple (you will even buy kimono's for that occasion)
it's a really calming and interesting experience, you guys just feel so pure and refreshed afterwards and while being there, the world seeming to stop just that you can relax and calm down
okay that was enough calmness, BACK TO MADNESS
he. will. go. out. with. a lot. of. cute. DRESSES, HE LOOKS ADORABLE IN THEM
he will also mess around with his hair: braids, pigtails, half open/half pigtails, small braids in the front, voluminous, curls, long, short, colorful, just EVERYTHING, it's gonna be... a lot
you both are just obsessed with the food there, it's really good and you guys can't get enough of it (you went all out)
he got so many clothes, plushies, sweets, mangas, accessories etc. that you needed to buy a new suitcase just for the shit he bought
he bought some interesting plants but he was scared that they would rot or die on the way back home
Argos will definetly pick up some japanese, he will always wake up and say "おはよう" (ohayō)
actually I don't want to talk about the flight but hey, at some point I need to I guess
so let's just say it was a mess
big mess honeyyy
his adhd/autism just exploded when you guys flew to tokyo but luckily at some point, he fell into a coma (deep sleep)
when he did, you let out the most obnoxious and relieving sigh you've ever mustered to let out
overall you guys loved the trip so much (and went home with a lot of stuff as great memories) <3

Accessories on the plane: iPhone & airpods
Van ride: Was asleep on the van so has no idea who she was sitting next to

During stop in Atlanta: went to the bathroom, chatted with some random queens about Megan Thee Stallion and Beyonce, and then went back to her playlist
What I'm listening to for this long ass flight:
Megan Thee Stallion workout playlist (dumb name cause you can't even work out to all of these)
I Love My '90s R&B playlist
2000s Pop and Hip Hop playlist
Spotify's Queen playlist

My Trip to Japan! ⛩️Part 1
LONG post. All of these series will be long AF.
9.12 ➡️ all dates are dd.mm
When we arrived at Tokyo-Haneda, I was down with a terrible cold. I dozed off quite a bit during the flight, but I was still exhausted. We left our luggage at the hotel near Shinbashi station and, after a rather forgettable lunch we strolled around fancy Ginza for a while. I soldiered on, but as we approached the Imperial Palace gardens, my body gave up, and we returned to the hotel. I stayed sleeping all afternoon. Husband, after a nap, went out to continue exploring the area and had dinner around there. Around 9 pm I ate some chocolates I happened to have, only to avoid taking the cold medicine on an empty stomach, but I wasn't hungry and went back to bed almost right away.
10.12
I had a relatively good night, with only a bit of coughing. We had breakfast at a nearby cafe and went to Ueno. We walked around the park a bit and visited the National Museum, as well as a couple of temples on the park grounds. From there, we walked to the Okachimachi area, where we had a very tasty and cheap fish lunch. Then, we took the Yamanote Line to visit the stairs of the Suga Temple: the ones at the end of Kimi no na wa. There were plenty of fans taking pictures, of course—though we were easily the eldest. (The stairs do not belong to the temple; the temple entrance is right there after you climb them)
Tumblr media
After that, we headed to Shinjuku, and went up to the (free!) observation deck of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. It was already dark, so we were treated to the beautiful views of the the lit-up city.
On the way back, we passed by a Don Quijote. "Donki," as they call it, is a chain of cheap stores where they sell all kinds of things: snacks, drugstore, stationery, electronics, household items, accessories, even a sex shop section. It's a good place to get items from brands or characters at more economical prices than in the official stores of those franchises. I bought cute Ghibli and Sanrio stuff here, and in fact, the variety of Sanrio items was on par with some official brand stores I visited, and the letter sets I got here were better. Donki is a perdition: ontop pf price and variety, it's absolutely packed, and its labyrinthine structure makes it too easy to get lost inside, so getting out is more complicated than getting in.
Tumblr media
11.12
We took the subway to Asakusa and visited Sensō-Ji, the oldest, they say, Buddhist temple in Tokyo. Plenty of souvenir stalls, amulets, and omikuji (fortunes). I left my omikuji tied to the bars set up for that purpose, as tradition dictates if the oracle is not favorable to the wish made; Husband asked for the same, but he got a good omen; looks like it's set up so that the gods always look good.
Also, I got my first goshuin. Goshuin is not a regular stamp; it consists of one or more stamps plus a calligraphed text bearing the temple name, date, and the deity there enshrined or a fragment of some sacred text. Depending on each location, they write it in front of you in a moment (and it'beautiful to see how they work) or make you leave your notebook while you do the tour, and they return it sealed at the end. I used the blank pages of my travel journal, but there are specific notebooks for collecting goshuin, and some temples only do the stamp on those. In those cases, they already offer the goshuin pre-stamped on loose papers. Prices range from ¥300 to ¥500; some more important temples offer several models and also special goshuin, double both in size and price.
From there I dragged Husband to the Solamachi shopping center for me to raid the Ghibli store. Don’t ask me what other shops are there. The mall itself being quite a maze, I didn’t have time to check for anything else. Since we were already there, we decided to go up to the Sky Tree tower. At ¥2000, it’s the most expensive entrance ticket we bought (save Ghibli Park). Despite the shitty weather, the view from 350 meters high was amazing.
Since the tower was out of schedule, we were a bit tight on time to get to the Ghibli Museum. It's on the outskirts of Tokyo, in a place called Mitaka.
Tumblr media
We lunched some overpriced sandwiches and then went to the museum: What a beauty! The building, in the middle of the forest, has a distinct  Hundertwasser vibe. The entrance ticket contains a freaking, actual piece of film! Ours were from Ponyo and Howl’s moving Castle.
Tumblr media
Photos are not allowed inside the museum, only in the gardens; while it’s a bummer, I can get it. Everything looks so amazing, circulation would be impossible if everyone was caught up taking pictures. The exhibit about the creative process and the colouring of the animation cells is so full of detail, you could spend the whole day inside. There’s also a room where they explore different animation techniques. if you’ve been to a ciname museum, you’ll likely know about most of them, but the fact that here they’re made with Ghibli cuteness in all its glory makes it absolutely wonderful. The Saturn cinema features shorts made especially for the museum. On the day we went there we got "Pandane to Tamago-hime," a beautiful fairytale whose MC, the supercute Egg Princess of the title, forever stole my heart. I bought a keychain doll of her in the shop (aptly named "Mamma, aiuto!," as one does want to just loot it all) and hung it from my backpack for the rest of the trip. We had tea in the Tuscany-inspired museum's cafe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We returned to Tokyo and headed to Shibuya. We went up to an ridiculously expensive (¥1500 entrance with a drink – beer or soft nothing fancy) bar on the top floor of the Magnet building. Except for the views, the place had zero vibe, but well, that's what you get if you want to take a picture of the famous crossing from above.
Tumblr media
On the sixth floor of the same building there’s was a One Piece store, I got the stamp, but I didn't buy anything. I'm not a fan of the post-time skip aesthetic, tbh. I think it’s worth mentioning that many train stations, businesses, and tourist spots in Japan have commemorative stamps available for visitors. A simple and totally free way to have a souvenir.
Tumblr media
I was also floored by the overwhelming commercial density of the city. Any middle-of-the-road, six-metre-wide building hides a mini shopping centre inside, not like, a mall, but one or two businesses on each floor. Some even have businesses on the lower floors and residences above. It's mind-blowing.
We also passed by Daiso. Daiso is a famous ¥100 store chain. Real ¥100, not like pound stores, where half of the items cost more than that. They have everything, and everything costs ¥100. Cute stuff, too. Real licenced merch, not bootlegs. Plus all kinds of nice house and kitchen stuff. It's extremely difficult to resist buying everything.
12.12
The rain frustrated our morning plans; didn’t fancy getting wet when I was just recovering from the cold. At noon we went to Shinjuku, had lunch at inside the station and, 1:15 sharp, we departed by bus to Yamanakako, at the feet of Mt. Fuji. After settling into our Japanese-style room, we went to the private onsen we had reserved during check-in. This was the only bath we were in together, as public onsen and sento are segregated.
Tumblr media
13.12
The next day was cold but sunny. We took the bus to Oshinohakkai, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Oshino is the village, and the hakkai are a series of eight natural springs, hence the name (八海 combines the kanji for "eight" and "sea"), which have been revered since ancient times as sacred places where various gods reside. The place is beautiful, peppered with ponds from which tiny streams emerge, with carp and trout swimming, and Mount Fuji in the background, truly delightful.
Tumblr media
We went back, bought some food at the konbini to have lunch in the hotel room, and then we hiked to a Shinto shrine on Ishiwari mountain. It was grueling for a couch potato like yours truly, but the struggle paid off, and the small shrine up there is an almost magical place, next to a sacred rock with a narrow crack through which, they say, if you pass three times, your wish will come true. We went down a different path that took us straight to the village onsen, perfect for relaxing after the physical effort.
Tumblr media
14.12
After breakfast, we said goodbye to Yamanakako to take the bus to Mishima, from where we took the Shinkansen to Nagoya. Nagoya, however, didn't welcome us with open arms. The signage to the Sakuradori metro line was poor and and without a damn elevator or escalator, which is baffling in a station of that magnitude. After carrying the suitcases to the platform, we saw, by the signs for the exit for disabled people, that there was but one (1) elevator. To make matters worse, it was noon, and the restaurants were full, so went to the hotel to leave the suitcases first and then went out for lunch, already starving.
Tumblr media
Belly full and content hearts, we walked to Nagoya Castle. The castle consists of two main pavilions, the castle itself (the defense tower, which was closed) and the Honmaru palace. The original was destroyed in World War II. Many paintings, however, were saved, although for preservation reasons, the ones exhibited are identical copies. The current castle was rebuilt in the fifties. The rooms were beautiful, with a minimalist luxury that stands out more when you think the castle is from the 17th century, and Europe was in full-on Baroque mode then. The city is very different from Tokyo. Wide, grid-like streets, downtown more aesthetically cohesive. More breathing room.
After the castle, we paraded through the main shopping streets of the city and briefly passed by Osu Kannon Temple; it was already dark, so we walked back, looking at shop windows, and had dinner at one of those places where you put coins in a machine, hand over the ticket, and they prepare the corresponding dish. Decadent vintage vibe, the food just passed, but it was an interesting experience.
Tumblr media
Back at the hotel, we used their onsen, or rather sentō. As washing before entering is a requirement, and they provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner (ofc you may byo), we came out spick and span, and it meant we did not use our room shower at all either here nor later in Nara where we also had a sentō. Sounds like a smart move for the hotel to save water if you ask me.

Day 1 - Japan Blog - 7 February 2024
Day One: Adelaide to Tokyo Virgin Airlines via Melbourne and Cairns
Let's begin our departure to Japan. My sixth time visiting Nippon, and this time I hope to see and experience new things I havent been able to before.
My previous trips have been more to the cities to shop and to Disneyland but as I become more infatuated with this country, I am drawn to more meaningful experiences. It used to be about the video games, the collectables, the cute accessories and conveniences I couldnt get at home -- but now I am intrigued with the history, culture and nature of Japan. Hopefully I can manage to do everything I want to do and all the things, I wasnt expecting. (Because, theyre always the best!)
Leaving our house at 4am this morning was always a challenge; especially when I finished packing at 2am. So, we jumped in the uber which was driven by a super eccentric female driver who made me want to drop everying and start uber driving -- how is this even a thing I would want to do? She was so funny and chirpy and smart. It made the ride memorable and we made it to the airport with the rest of our holiday to look forward to.
Second up, checking in at Virgin Airlines in Adelaide Airport was also a huge highlight. The person helped us with our check in -- not that we needed it, but she upgraded our domestic flights to extra legroom which made my travel partner very happy.
I'm travelling with my partner of 4 years; Ben. He is 6"3 and loves an extra legroom seat! You'll probably learn a lot about him through my posts. He likes good food and music!
Well, after discovering that our VA fare is NOT a full service fare (I am NOT happy about this, shook, stricken, SLANDER!) as I would NEVER... but apparently; flying trans-tasman with VA doesn't mean you get a meal or a blanket or a pillow or a nice piece of metal. We are on a Boeing 737-800 Max for 9 hours with NO SNACKS. I think, because I booked this hastily, on their website (opposed to through a GDS with the option to see ancillaries) without the complete details -- I assumed it was a short haul international flight, and compared it with Qantas' service. I was wrong. The inflight entertainment is BYO device (which I didnt...) and the 737800 isnt fitted with Wifi onboard so I couldnt even download anything to watch. Their WiFi was working, so you could use their Free Entertainment, however I found it lagged and I couldn't even watch it through the buffering. So I just stuck to my knitting -- without music though because my Spotify decided I didnt need my downloaded music either.
It was a very long and semi-uncomfortable flight.
After the gruelling hours of trying to sleep, trying to finish my knitting and also doing some work... we landed in Haneda! HOORAY! Now time to do customs, and head to our hotel. Almost there.
For those playing at home; here is a quick breakdown of how to enter Japan.
-Grab an entry card and declaration card from your air host/ess. They will provide the physical card for you to fill in to give when you go through customs.
  or
-Alternatively; visit Japanweb.gov.jp (I dont have a photo of it, because you cant use cameras in customs, and I used the physical card option -- I love filling out these things!!) and you can do it all online and scan your QR at the gate.
The entry card tells the Japanese Government what your intentions on visiting Japan. IE: Tourism, visiting a relative, Business, etc -- and how long you intend to stay, where you're going to be staying -- all that jazz.
The declarations card is about what you are BRINGING in to JAPAN. So please dont bring things like fruit, meat, dangerous goods, illegal substances (this can be some medications like Codeine and Pseudoephedrine so please check with your doctor -- and get a note if you take medication regularly that might not be "legal" in Japan). If you dont bring any of this with you; you dont need to declare anything and you can walk straight through once you've shown your passport.
-Line up and have your passport at the ready. Keep your entry cards with your passport.
-They will scan your finger prints and take your photo first. (We had to do this twice...)
-Line up again to go through the gates.
-This is where they will stamp your passport and grant your access.
Once youve gone through this part; you're almost there!!
-Pick up your bags.
-Find the carosel with the flight you just arrived on. (IE: VA77 is on carosel 6) Your bags will come out here.
-Collect your bags and take them to the gates on the other side.
-Show your passport and declaration card and you *should* be good to enter.
Here we go! We are in JAPAN -- the first port of call is to get our mascot for the trip. This is something Ive done since my 2018 trip and it's fun and cute and it makes me happy to share my experience through a silly icon's eyes. Walk towards the "Keihan" Train Line which will get you to Tokyo. This is a trainline that goes direct from Haneda airport to Tokyo and connects to any of the main train networks in Tokyo. It really doesn't matter what neighbourhood you are staying in; 90% of the time this will be the train you need to get you to where you want to go. On the LEFT there is a 7/11 (get money from the ATM in the left corner, and then grab some snacks and a drink so you've got some coins..) because on the RIGHT there are a bunch of Gacha Machines where I like to find my mascot.
This time; NOTHING. No lil dudes. So, we will keep looking.
Take the Escalators down to the train platform and board the train to TOKYO/SHINAGAWA and you're on your way.
Back to my blog; Ben and I had our heart set on this ramen place we found by accident last time we were in Akihabara. We call it "Midnight Ramen" because he wanted ramen at midnight and it came through with the GOODS... alas. We dropped our bags at our hotel in Shinagawa and did a quick change into something warm. (It was 36degrees when we left Adelaide and now we are facing 2degrees and SNOW!) Slammed on a beanie and caught the Yamanote to Akiba; to find that our ramen place was closed for renovations. The SADDEST TIME! Akiba isn't known for its ramen so we had to find something else... how devastating.
We found a Hakata style ramen place. It was a 6/10. It got a point for being open. Also, it was okay. The Nori (seaweed) had cute printed sayings on it which I thought was cute (gross, but cute). Then I found out that another branch of the other ramen place was open in Shinagawa, only a 6 minute walk from our hotel. Let's pretend like that didnt happen.
After we ate, we became acquainted with our new local Kombini (7/11, convenience store) attached to our hotel, and purchased some necessities.

What does your OC carry?
Tagged by @bokatan <3 Thank you!!
I chose to do all three of my favs. I should include Levi - but honestly, that boy doesn't travel if he can help it. Which means he has a closet. A whole closet. hah
Mercy
Clothing, accessories, etc: Mercy wears a mix of gear, recently from the Railroad thanks to Tinker Tom. Tinker Tom had some specialty stuff made for her since she’s so little (well, not in relation to Frankie and Mercy but she’s still 5’2”) from ballistic weave. It’s usually leggings and tunic or pants and top with a beanie (also ballistic weave) with boots. She also has her gun harness, backpack, belt, pouches, camping supplies...ya know...the usual.
Weapons: One sniper rifle with long-range scope, one laser pistol (BOS issued but stripped down and adjusted for her hands...given to her by Danse but she told him not to), and one combat knife with minor tooth marks from a deathclaw.
Miscellaneous supplies: soap, towel, acorn oil for hair, comb and brush, change of clothes, rope, medical supplies, toothpaste, and pipboy. (Note – no food, she has Deacon or Mac carry that)
Random odds and ends: crackers, dried fruit, a nail file found under some rubble, a small sewing kit, a random book, one comic, some kind of chem given to her by Hancock in the case of needing to take Deacon someplace tall, three rocks, a vial of something given to her by Tinker Tom in case of synths, a Gen 1 eye, a Gen 2 finger – used to poke Nick, pencil, pad of paper.
Frankie
Clothing, accessories, etc: Well...she usually travels with the band. So it’s a couple chests of dresses, stockings, heels, fancy panties, pasties with tassels, pasties without tassels, crotch shields in case she takes off the thongs during a burlesque show, rumba panties with matching bras, petticoats for the dresses, feathers for her hair, hair oil, hair gel, shampoo, conditioner, make up, perfume, lotion, fine soaps, a few necklaces, two sets of boxer shorts for sleeping, two extra large shirts stolen from her brother for sleeping, three indecent nightgowns (sure...nightgown...sure...). When traveling with Beau – whatever she can shove in one saddlebag...which makes her sad.
Weapons: A very large stick – gotten from a cactus in Texas.
Miscellaneous supplies: What is this...Miscellaneous Supplies...it’s all necessary supplies, Beau. All of it. Everybody needs more than 2 pairs of holey boxers, Beau. For the love of God, get new underwear.
Random odds and ends: See Miscellaneous Supplies also two bobble head dolls, one shell from California, an empty tequila bottle – just in case
Sparrow
Clothing, accessories, etc: Before Canary: One pair of pants held up by a rope and cut short enough for her, a thin old pair of panties, too-big shirt also wrapped with a rope, scarf and hat, leggings cut short and held up by a rope, old dress, two socks only slightly tattered, old sneakers. Old backpack. After Canary: one Sparrow-sized Lancer leather jacket with the BOS patches ripped off and replaced with random patches found plus one Minuteman Patch, one Sparrow-sized Lancer flight suit denuded of BOS patches and now sporting random ones, a dark gray fitted pants and shirt topped with leather (sized for her), gas mask with goggles, tactical beanie. Eventually a Sparrow-sized set of courser gear with long coat, mask with blue tactical lighting. Tactical belt. Backpack.
Weapons: two blackened knives – sharp and designed for slicing and stabbing. Sparrow thinks guns are icky.
Miscellaneous supplies: Pocket snacks (dried meat, dried fruit, nuts – usually packed by her papa), a second set of knives, rope, pouch of caps, little compass, stealth boys
Random odds and ends: chalk, bits of bark, a few random rocks, a pouch of dried herbs, tea, every BOS patch pulled from her armor, a piece of paper with the words “chirp chirp,” three leaves (they blew into her bag), her old backpack shoved into her new backpack

Packing: Self-Supported + Hotel Tour
(part 2 of 5) I'm gradually going through past trip notebooks and random Google Docs and jotting down all my packing lists in one place.
For a week-long ride like Berlin->Copenhagen which is self-contained but involves staying in hotels every night and is not far from civilization, I pack fairly light, since I have to carry everything on the bike and don’t have to carry camping gear or significant food or bike repair tools. This type of trip often involves a few days after the riding in a city, so I want clothing I feel comfortable walking around or going out to a restaurant in.
Tumblr media
A good list for me for what I can fit in two small panniers (in addition to the tools / accessories / etc already on the “always on the bike” list):
Clothes:
(2x) padded bike shorts, to wash alternate pairs in hotel sink each night (3x is more convenient in case one doesn't dry in time)
(2x) quick-dry boxers (also to wash in sink)
(6x) socks
(2x) wool t-shirts to bike + walk in (assuming moderate climate)
(1x) long shorts (to wear over padded shorts, with pockets)
(1x) basic sleeping t-shirt
light gym shorts (to change into immediately at end of ride to “let everything breathe”)
small pack towel, mostly for impromptu swimming stops (since hotels will have towels)
bathing suit (redundant a bit w/ gym shorts)
flip flops
bike cap
rain shell / windbreaker
jeans (wore on plane, then packed away and saved to dress more presentably in the evening or on "city days")
one light + fast-drying long-sleeve shirt
one warmer button-up shirt (worn onto plane, then does dual duty as warmth or "looking more presentable in restaurant")
I just ride in regular shoes that are good for walking as well
Electronics + Paper:
outlet adapter
phone charger + cable
bike computer + microUSB cable
front and rear lights (also microUSB rechargeable)
noise-canceling headphones (a luxury, helps with sleeping on international flight, may skip next time)
larger USB battery pack (enough to recharge everything overnight in case of a hotel without enough working outlets for me + travel partner)
notebook and two pens (having your own pen is frequently useful at border crossings)
kindle or paper book
phrasebook
passport / ID / vax certificates / etc depending on trip
Other:
panniers (ideally with external pockets or ability to ride open-top to hold bulkier items like bottle of olive oil / wine / beer, loaf of bread, etc)
dopp kit
several days of my favorite pick-me-up snacks
safety pins (quick garment repair + clean out debris in phone port), duct tape, zip ties
map
masks
a few Covid rapid tests
earplugs
extra ziplock bags
two trash bags (for double-bagging possessions in panniers in heavy rain)
backup pair of glasses
Sometimes I add:
waterproof pants and shoe covers (useful in rain, but I also find they get sweaty easily, and in the heaviest rain I find water still finds a way in after a few hours, and they take up a lot of space). A blog reader suggested looking up "Rain Legs"
full-finger gloves for cold days
other warm clothing as needed, though I find I rarely want legwarmers or other base layers beyond the above
instant coffee / a few teabags, in case of a very basic hotel or airBNB that doesn't provide them or has late breakfast hours
bug repellent
Looking back this seems like a long list, but this all (barely) fit in the two small panniers above, and those panniers fit in the small tote bag below that I used to carry or check them as "one item":

🌱 for Rachel, 👁️‍🗨️ for Rietta, 💛 for Rietta-Coleinette, 🐸 for Rieton, 🦷 for Estelle, ✨ for Elystan, 🧠 for Delclis, 🌨️ for Tietra, and 🗡️ for Bethira, if you please?
Rachel: 🌱 - Share one of this oc’s early memories.
...I feel like I've answered something like this for her recently? She probably remembers a lot of traveling. Endless voyages cramped in third-class cabins with the entire family.
Rietta: 👁️‍🗨️ - Eye contact: good or bad for this oc?
Good! Please, look at her! She would like more attention, and she's sure other people would like to be looked at too.
Rietta-Coleinette: 💛 - Are they ‘good with children’, or more awkward?
Probably adequately good? I don't know. She's got younger siblings, but I don't know yet what her relationship with them is like.
Rieton: 🐸 - What’s this oc’s sense of humor like?
No idea. She's loosely based on a cousin of mine (who has a very jokey, persistent sense of humor if I recall correctly), but I haven't properly introduced Rieton in person, so I don't know yet what direction I'm taking with her.
Estelle: 🦷 - Would this oc ever bite someone?
No, not unless absolutely desperate. She's been raised in a very manners-conscious household, and biting or any other form of violence is Not Tolerated.
Elystan: ✨ - Tell something that makes this oc feel happy!
Talking! Talking about something he's excited about to someone who is listening and catching his excitement, and then they say something interesting back, and it's a fun game of tossing ideas around.
Delclis: 🧠 - What is their stress response: fight, flight, freeze, or fawn?
FREEZE. He's been in that state nearly constantly since becoming king. His ministers are deeply irritated with him for it.
Tietra: 🌨️ - If this oc had a day free from all their responsibilities, how would they spend it?
Long walk, maybe. Something quiet and solitary.
Bethira: 🗡️ - Does this oc have a signature object, accessory, or weapon?
She frequently appears in public or is photographed wearing pearls.

Essential Travel Accessories for Solo Travelers
Tumblr media
Traveling solo can be one of the most rewarding experiences, offering you the freedom to explore new places at your own pace and make unique personal connections along the way. Whether you're planning a trip from bustling cities like Mumbai to tranquil destinations like Manila, as described in the adventurous journey at Adventure Lore Hub, it's essential to pack smart. Carrying the right travel accessories can make all the difference, enhancing your comfort and convenience. Here are some essential travel accessories for solo traveler should consider:
1. A Reliable Travel Backpack or Suitcase When traveling alone, a durable and comfortable backpack or a lightweight suitcase with smooth wheels is indispensable. It should be large enough to hold all your essentials yet compact enough to manage easily through crowded airports, busy streets, and public transport.
2. Portable Charger and Universal Adapter As a solo traveler, staying connected is crucial. A portable charger ensures your smartphone, which doubles as your navigator, camera, and primary communication device, stays powered. Pair this with a universal travel adapter that covers varying socket types, and you'll be equipped to charge your devices in any country.
3. Security Items: Money Belt or Anti-Theft Bag Safety should be a top priority when traveling alone. A money belt worn under your clothes or an anti-theft bag can protect your valuables like passports, credit cards, and cash from potential pickpockets.
4. Compact Travel Umbrella and Weather-Appropriate Clothing An unexpected rain shower can happen almost anywhere. A lightweight and compact travel umbrella will keep you dry and can also serve as a shade from harsh sun in tropical climates. Additionally, packing clothing suited to the weather of your destination is crucial for comfort.
5. Noise-Cancelling Headphones For long flights or bus rides, noise-cancelling headphones can be a lifesaver. They allow you to block out distracting noises and listen to your favorite music or audiobooks, making your journey more enjoyable and peaceful.
6. Quick-Dry Towel and a Basic Toiletry Kit A quick-dry towel is incredibly useful for trips involving beaches, hostels, or anywhere you might need a swift-drying, lightweight towel. Complement this with a well-organized toiletry kit that includes all your hygiene essentials in travel-sized containers.
7. Travel Journal or an E-Reader Documenting your travels can enrich the experience, giving you a way to reflect on your adventures and remember every special moment. A lightweight travel journal or an e-reader loaded with your favorite books can also be great companions for moments of downtime.
8. Water Bottle with Built-In Filter Staying hydrated is crucial, but in many places, tap water isn't safe to drink. A reusable water bottle with a built-in filter is an environmentally friendly solution that ensures access to clean water without constantly buying bottled water.
9. Comfortable Walking Shoes As a solo traveler, you'll likely be on your feet exploring for hours. Invest in a pair of supportive and comfortable walking shoes that won't leave you with blisters at the end of the day.
10. Personal Safety Alarm Especially when traveling alone, a personal safety alarm can offer an extra layer of security. This small device can emit a loud sound that draws attention in uncomfortable or dangerous situations.
By packing these essential travel accessories, solo travelers like Gavin can enjoy a hassle-free and memorable adventure from Mumbai to Manila. Each item is designed to enhance the solo travel experience, ensuring safety, comfort, and convenience as you embark on your journey of discovery and wonder.

The Ultimate Guide to Shopping for Travel: Tips and Tricks for Smart Travelers
Shopping for travel can be an exciting but sometimes overwhelming experience. Whether you're looking for the perfect suitcase, travel accessories, or gear for your next adventure, knowing where to start can make all the difference. In this guide, we'll explore the ins and outs of shop travel, from choosing the right luggage to finding the best deals on travel essentials.
1. Assess Your Needs:
Before you start shopping, take some time to assess your travel needs. Consider the type of trips you usually take, the duration of your travels, and the activities you'll be doing. This will help you determine what items are essential and what you can do without.
2. Choose the Right Luggage:
Your luggage is one of the most important travel purchases you'll make. When choosing a suitcase or travel bag, consider factors such as size, weight, durability, and ease of use. If you're a frequent flyer, investing in a quality carry-on with spinner wheels and a TSA-approved lock can make navigating airports a breeze. For longer trips, opt for a spacious checked bag with sturdy construction.
3. Research Before You Buy:
Don't rush into buying the first travel gear you come across. Take the time to research different brands and read reviews from other travelers. Websites like Consumer Reports, Wirecutter, and TripAdvisor can provide valuable insights into the best products on the market.
4. Pack Smart with Organizers:
Keep your belongings organized and easily accessible with packing cubes, compression bags, and toiletry organizers. These handy accessories not only help maximize space in your luggage but also make unpacking a breeze when you arrive at your destination.
5. Invest in Quality:
While it can be tempting to opt for the cheapest option, investing in quality travel gear can save you money in the long run. Well-made luggage, travel adapters, and electronics are less likely to break or malfunction, giving you peace of mind during your travels.
6. Consider Multi-purpose Items:
Look for travel accessories that serve multiple functions to save space and weight in your luggage. For example, a scarf can double as a blanket on a chilly flight, and a portable charger with built-in flashlight can be a lifesaver in unexpected situations.
7. Shop Off-Season:
Take advantage of the off-season specials to get excellent savings on travel goods.. Many retailers offer discounts on luggage and travel accessories during the slower travel months, so keep an eye out for sales and promotions.
8. Check for Warranty and Return Policies:
Before making a purchase, check the warranty and return policies of the products you're considering. A generous warranty can provide added peace of mind, while a flexible return policy allows you to exchange or return items that don't meet your expectations.
9. Shop Local and Support Small Businesses:
Consider shopping at local boutiques and specialty stores for unique travel finds. Not only will you discover one-of-a-kind items, but you'll also be supporting small businesses and artisans around the world.
10. Stay Organized with a Travel Checklist:
Create a travel checklist to ensure you don't forget any essential items when packing for your trip. Include everything from clothing and toiletries to travel documents and electronics, and check off each item as you pack.
11. Stay Flexible:
While it's important to plan ahead and be prepared, it's also essential to stay flexible when shop travel. Unexpected delays, changes in weather, and last-minute adventures are all part of the travel experience, so embrace them with an open mind and a sense of adventure.
Conclusion:
Shopping for travel doesn't have to be stressful. By assessing your needs, doing your research, and investing in quality gear, you can make the shopping process a breeze and set yourself up for a successful and enjoyable trip. Whether you're embarking on a weekend getaway or a round-the-world adventure, smart shopping choices can make all the difference in ensuring a smooth and memorable journey. Happy travels!
