Vampire!141 transformations

(implied Soap death, he's not actually dead)

Price is the oldest vampire on their team, born into the undead life. He'd seen his fair share of death. In a way, he envied their final moments.

Gaz's transformation is the second least traumatic of them all, guided gently by Price as he begged to turn him on the field after a fatal wound. And Price listened.

Ghost is the second oldest, turned vampire as his body forced itself to work with the bite Roba had given. A weak bite to turn him, but would take days to work. He couldn't last days in the coffin. So his body, with the slightest bit of supernatural blood in his veins, forced it to mutate. His transformation was agony, pure agony. Unlike the rest of the 141, however, his powers are one of the weakest. They come and go, like pulses. When he's angry, he seemes to subconsciously hiss and sizzle with the feeling. That was used and abused by Shepherd until he was transferred to Price. He was used as a sort of 'familiar' by Shepherd. Only with the 141 did he have any freedom.

Soap's transformation was a last minute hope. Ghost's teeth, oversharpened and sore from no use, sunk into his neck to find a barely usable pulse. Turn him, damnit. But it didn't *work*. Not until Price's fangs dipped into the holes Simon's left, and *he* took care of it. (Ghost couldn't figure out if it was more or less traumatic than his.) It just barely worked, but Soap was dangerously ill for weeks. Resulting in delicate feeding and very cautious contact.

Just when Simon thought he couldn’t get any more alone in this world, he discovers that he is now immortal, and with a bloodlust that is decidedly not normal.

It’s just his luck, really. Between being tortured, buried alive, losing his family, being legally dead—somehow this has to be the worst of it all. Because it means living with his faults forever, and that has to be just the picture perfect idea of his kind of hell.

Who would have thought that this was the universe in which vampires—or some semblance of them—are real? Certainly not Simon.

And as he barely learns to cope with his newfound appetite and the abilities that come with it, he wishes he could have remained a little more ignorant, and a little more human.

Because becoming a vampire, as it turns out, meant barely scratching the surface of everything supernatural he had never been privy to, in his multiple decades on earth.

Born and raised a werewolf, John has always been well-immersed (and versed) in the world of the supernatural.

And being so, John thinks it’s very possible he realizes that Simon Riley is a vampire before the man himself does. Or, at the very least, John is first to understand what Simon is.

Because, in all honesty, Simon carries himself like someone who doesn’t quite know how to consume blood more so than spill it. That, and he stinks like the undead to John’s sensitive nose.

So, meeting him is quite an… event.

But it’s also a pleasant coolness to a bright heat, two fanged grins even when one is obscured. John can imagine Simon’s nose wrinkling beneath his mask at the werewolf’s scent, as if he’d never realized there was anything unlike him that wasn’t human.

It’s funny. Comical, even, when John indulges Simon in the otherworldly. But the naivety is also sweet in the way someone as imposing as Simon has no right to be.

And if a little later down the line, John tells Simon that werewolf blood is better than anything a human could provide, then, well. It’s no one’s business but John’s, and Simon’s enthusiasm about not having to find strangers to get himself fed.

Pack 141 - Vampire!Ghost Headcanons

Tags: mentions of blood and scars, mostly just HCs of Ghost as a vampire, some very light ghostprice, even lighter poly 141, if ya squint

Ghost who's change had been partially undergone in a shallow grave in a southern countryside.

Price had been the one to find him, bringing him home and helping him through the rest of his change. Taking on the role of his new sire. He had known Riley prior, a strong and bright soldier. And while Price should have taken appropriate action and put him out of his misery…he had other plans in mind.

Unsired vampires generally don't survive, and the ones that do often become feral or have very significant behavioral problems. Due this arrangement, Price and Ghost share a very intimate bond.

Simon hadn't been aware of the monstrous world around him prior to the events around his changing. And upon learning of Price's lycanthropy he felt a bit betrayed for some time. He would eventually come to understand, but he was definitely salty about it.

This being said Simon was not socialized as a vampire. All his information came from Price and what official reports they had on his kind in general. He isn't totally out of his depth, but there are some pieces missing.

By vampiric standards Simon is still a fledgling, though only other vampires would clock him on that.

Through diligent training Price helped Simon through any frenzy instincts, though it isn't completely gone Simon has exceptional control around the copious amounts of blood that come with his profession. Not to mention the mask helps muffle the scent.

What Price finds most amusing, is that after most of the wrinkles are ironed out, Simon is largely indifferent to the change. He carries trauma certainly, but the new found power and diet appears to have not phased him fuck all.

Simon still stubbornly takes his tea at the same time, after having gone through some trial and error. He found he can still drink his tea albeit a little altered. Blood with 3 sugars please.

Though Simon had eaten his mess hall gruel without complaint for years, he did miss the routine. He still slinks off to his room to eat his own meal on the same schedule.

While he doesnt burst into flames with the sun touching his flesh he is significantly weaker. He was already prone to burning red like a lobster in his human life. The change didn't make things to terribly different. The mask and layers of clothes prevent most of the issue.

Due to certain traumas around his change. Simon is very particular about feeding. And besides emergencies or very specific exceptions. Simon does not feed from the source. He often just drinks from a canteen/bottle with a blood/water mixture. To human onlookers it would honestly just look like he was using the flavored water enhancers. Which also brings Simon a certain kind of amusement.

As is common, Simon has enhanced strength and senses. He now possesses a red pearly tapetum lucidum or “eyeshine”. He suffers through the ‘sunglasses at night’ jokes to avoid any questions or accidental detection on night ops.

The change did not make Simon ethereally beautiful. He looks mostly the same besides paler skin, red tinted eyes and new shiny fangs. He still maintains all his scars/marks and tattoos from before. And while his healing factor prevents most scars, significant wounds may still scar lightly or the scar may take decades to fully fade away.

Simon doesn't feel cold to the touch per se, but he does run cooler than the average human due to his altered metabolism.

If available, he does prefer to at least long ‘nap’ during the day. While it's possible for him to carry on normally during daylight hours it does take more out of him.

Generally speaking most normally socialized vampires forgo sleeping regularly all together. Price however, insisted upon resting during Simon's changing. “Good for your mind” he'd stated gruffly. And Simon had kept up with it ever since. While he does legitimately sleep, this happens less often. His naps being more meditative in nature.

Similarly to Price, Simon does have brood instincts which occasionally become a point of contention between the two. Price's alpha wolf mixed with Simon's brood nature have them butting heads possessively over other members of the task force on occasion.

They are both smart enough to know the common goal of ultimately ensuring safety and care over their brood/pack mates. And most of the time they behave…but sometimes…

Ghost pins the hunter to the ground snarling a deep bass growl.

Huffing and panting from the fright. Eyes defiant and bright. "If ye bleed out on my good tunic I'll never get it out, you big toothed bastard." Pushing the knife in his hand deeper under the ribs of the blood sucker above him.

"I will have your neck ripped wide before my death, little hunter." The mocking rasp of the vampire above him send shivers down John's spine.

"Aye, but ye'll still be dead, ya fuckin parasite." Soap’s own growl pooling heat into Ghost’s gut *its definitely the knife in him. There's no way he's hot for this human*

Ghost smirks. Snapping his jaws in the mans face. "But you will still die, little human. Stop now and I may let you live as a blood whore to the brood."

The wicked grin of the human startles Ghost. "I'll keep as i am. Regardless youll be dead. As i came here to do. Living was just icin' on the cake, not the goal, ye rank wee cunt."

so a character list for the monster-magic au:

- witch soap: full blood witch. doesn’t need to siphon magic to use it. gets energy from calories and sleep. has to hide magic cause yknow last of his kind working for the government? bad combo. doesn’t need a book of shadows. spells are said in scottish gaelic and can defy the laws of nature. even though he can summon shit like water out of nowhere it still has to come from somewhere so there’s an equal opposite reaction for everything. gets sick often due to limited magic.

- vampire ghost: mostly human looking with red eyes, pointed ears, and sharp teeth. weaker in the day and stronger at night. night vision, immortality, enhanced senses, agility. the whole nine yards. weak to fire, silver, daylight, and decapitation.

- siren gaz: scaled face, finned ears, webbed hands with long nails and webbed feet, and shark teeth. can hypnotize people or do full mind control. hypnotism means they aren’t aware of what they’re doing and mind control means they are and can’t do anything about it. gets weak if dehydrated or has low sodium. also an amazing swimmer.

- gargoyle price: dragon like wings with impenetrable skin. can’t venture too far from what he’s protecting so can always be found near a team member. can camouflage self and fly. stronger at night. heals slowly due to the make-up of his skin and has a weakness to daylight.

- gorgon laswell: SNAKE HAIR. venomous snake hair. can choose if the venom is acidic or paralytic. has enhanced smell, taste, and eyesight.

- werecoyote alejandro: shapeshifter with yellow eyes, claws, a tail, and pointed ears in human form. keeps intelligence in full shift and can be considered deadlier than a werewolf because of that. can control shifts if has an anchor (rudy is his anchor)

- sorcerer rudy: relies on a conduit, which is a ring. is the strongest tier out of all magics and has a book of shadows for spells and what not. doesn’t have unlimited energy which typically comes from calories and sleep. has to follow the rules of nature so can’t summon water out of nowhere or summon wind inside like soap can.

- manticore valeria: bat like wings with the tail of a scorpion, claws, lion’s feet. can poison people with the quills of tail although it acts like a paralytic. also three rows of teeth. can and will eat people.

- conductor graves: is the second tier of magic user. needs a bigger conduit like a wand or bracelets. (he uses a wand because he’s dramatic. needs a book of shadows and has even less energy than rudy. uses his status as a magic user to get loyalty from his shadows plus a secret :)

-shepherd is a human but there is also a secret behind that :D
