You do not have to forgive someone who hurt you. You do not have to forgive someone who deliberately made your world a dark place. You do not need to forgive your abuser or your rapist in order to heal. But you do need to forgive yourself. Forgive yourself for falling for their foolish games. Forgive yourself for thinking you could “save him”. Forgive yourself for the wrong choices you may of made. Forgive yourself for what you didn’t know back then.

@pia.ornelas #makeupartist #8m #8m2023 #8demarço #pelavidadasmulheres #NãoéAmorQuando #juntassomosmaisfortes #mariadapenha #violenciasexual #violenceagainstwomen #assedio #respeito #mulheresunidas #estupro #abuso #feministas #disque180 #abusosexual #mulheresfortes #movimentodasmulheres #empoderamento #equidade #direitodasmulheres #feminismo #fimdaviolenciacontraasmulheres #sororidade #machismomata #maluornelas #photography #  (em Malu Ornelas) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpoGGYLr0tM/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I unfortunately happened to open a newspaper today and yesterday the first thing i see is an articles on molestation, and sexual assault. This comic is for awareness and common sense which clearly is lacking in our society. I have never posted something political on my art account but this is something I want spread awareness about.
It's not about the clothes, it's all about the mind set, you can't possibly blame a 7 year old child for wanting to dress how she wants and keeping that in mind you can't blame anyone for dressing how they want. "they asked for it". Bro, if they asked for it, they would just ask for it. The moment you find fault in that, there is something wrong with the way you see people.
i would appreciate it if the viewers could re-blog it or even like it to spread awareness <3

Empowering Enough: UK Campus Safety Campaign
Tumblr media
A Fresh Phase in the Fight Against Campus Violence
In a groundbreaking move, the UK government's innovative Enough campaign is set to collaborate with over 30 universities across the country to address and prevent violence against women and girls on university campuses. Launched on November 25, the campaign's third phase focuses on potential perpetrators of such violence, marking a significant step in creating a safer environment for students.   Tailored Campaign Materials for Campus Realities For the first time, the Enough campaign will work closely with universities to develop bespoke campaign materials. These materials will mirror the scenarios and forms of abuse that students might encounter on campus, aiming to raise awareness and empower students to intervene safely when witnessing incidents.
Alarming Statistics Spark Action
This new phase of the campaign comes in response to alarming statistics from the Crime Survey for England and Wales. According to data from the year ending March 2022, full-time students were more than four times as likely to experience sexual assault within the last year compared to those in other occupations. The Enough campaign seeks to address this concerning trend head-on.   Empowering Bystanders to Take Action The campaign provides practical advice for anyone witnessing abuse, including students. From sexual harassment in public spaces to coercive control in relationships, the campaign covers a range of situations. A key element of this phase is the wider rollout of the campaign's STOP prompt – Say something, Tell someone, Offer support, Provide a diversion – giving the public multiple options to intervene safely.
Government Takes a Stand
Home Secretary James Cleverly emphasized the government's commitment to eradicating violence against women and girls. While legislative measures are being put in place, the Enough campaign encourages the public to actively participate in calling out abuse when they see it and intervening safely when necessary. Home Secretary, James Cleverly said, No woman or girl should ever feel unsafe in her home or in her community and we have gone further than ever before in protecting them from abuse. The Enough campaign aims to deliver a generational shift in the attitudes and behaviours which lead to abuse – everyone has a role to play. While the government will continue to bring into force new laws to tackle these vile crimes, equip the police to bring more criminals to justice and provide victims with the support they need, the Enough campaign empowers the public to do their part to call out abuse when they see it and safely intervene when appropriate.   Minister for Victims and Safeguarding Stresses Education Minister for Victims and Safeguarding, Laura Farris, underlines the importance of educating the public on their role in bringing about lasting change. The government is actively working on plans to protect women from abuse across all settings, including online spaces, public areas, workplaces, and homes.
University Leaders and Advocates Express Support
Leaders in higher education, such as Professor Eunice Simmons, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chester, applaud the campaign's expansion into university campuses. The partnership aims to reinforce the message that violence against women and girls will not be tolerated and aligns with existing safety initiatives in universities. Andrea Simon, Director of the End Violence Against Women Coalition (EVAW), highlights the importance of addressing sexual harassment and violence experienced by students. Simon emphasizes that violence prevention and bystander programs can empower students to recognize abuse and intervene safely.   Building Cultural Shifts and Long-Term Engagement Baroness Newlove, Victims’ Commissioner for England and Wales, stresses the need for a societal approach to tackle violence against women and girls. She welcomes the ongoing commitment to the Enough campaign, emphasizing that government support is crucial for achieving broader cultural shifts.
From TV Screens to University Campuses
The Enough campaign previously collaborated with Channel 4's Hollyoaks, integrating a storyline on violence against women and girls. Actor Nikki Sanderson, who played a central role in the episode, reflects on the impact of the campaign and the ongoing societal issue. The campaign aims to prompt discussions on women's safety and contribute to building a safer society.   Government's Ongoing Commitment to Tackling Violence The Enough campaign, launched in March 2022, has utilized various channels, including television, billboards, social media, and radio, to reach millions of people. In addition to the campaign, the government has unveiled £12 million in funding to address domestic abuse, indicating a multi-faceted approach to tackling violence against women and girls. In recent developments, all police forces in England and Wales are following a new approach to the investigation of rape and violence against women and girls has been classified as a national threat. The Home Office continues to fund projects targeting perpetrators to prevent repeated abuse. As the government intensifies its efforts, the partnership with universities signals a broader strategy to address violence against women and girls at its roots, fostering a safer and more supportive environment for all. The ongoing commitment to societal change reinforces the message that ending violence against women is a shared responsibility, involving everyone in the community.   Sources: THX News, Home Office, Laura Farris MP, & The Rt Hon James Cleverly MP.
