He hugged her tighter. “It’s going to be okay now, Lenochka. Everything is going to be okay.”

t.A.T.u (Russian: Тату) — Russian music duo formed in 1999 that consist Julia Volkova and Lena Katina. Lena Katina first music steps were taken in children's music pop band Avenue, in 1997 she joined Neposedy, later on, Julia Volkova also joined the formation (They were part of the band along with members like Sergey Lazarev and Vlad Tapalov). In 1998 Julia got kicked out of the band for bad behaviour, smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol and getting in arguments with other band members, but Neposedy denied it and said that Julia left the band because of her age (Neposedy were children formation while Julia was 12 when joined the band) Lena left the band in 1999. Same year Ivan Shapovalov and his business partner Aleksander Voitinskiy planned to start a music project in Russia. They started organizing auditions in Moscow in early 1999 for teenage female vocalist. By the end of auditioning, the partners narrowed their search down to ten girls, including Lena and Julia that finally became the members of t.A.T.u. Lena and Julia knew each other before the auditions. Both girls stood out among the others because of their appearance and vocal experience, but the producers decided to start working with Lena. Katina began recording demos, including "Yugoslavia", a protest song about NATO boming of Yugoslavia, when the demos were cut, Shapovalov insisted that the project needs another girl, that will be a complete opposite of Lena. In late 1999 Julia Volkova was added to the project to complete the duo. Shapalov after adding Volkova to the project, noticed how close the girls are, he decided to use it and gave the band lesbian image, which made Voitinsky left the band because he said that the idea was immoral and he doesn't want to be part lf it.

"Ivan said, that we need second girl in a band, and that the band needs to be famous, He just said, that we need another girl, because if we will have two it will be happier and more interesting, we can take someone new, someone different, and then they will be singing together. Now i am working in a new project, not in Ivan project, he was a horrible collaborator (...)"

According to Katina, Shapovalov was inspired to create the duo after the release of the Swedish film "Show me love" about romance between two school girls. After completing the duo producers decided to name the group word Тату (Tatu) It is a shortened version of russian phrase "Та любит Ту" (Ta lyubit tu — eng. This [girl] loves that [girl]) For the whole year girls were recording songs for their first album collaborating with Elena Kiper.

Debuted in 2000 with their single "Ya soshla s uma" The song describes the pain in a girl's soul because she is in love with another girl, but is afraid. It became a big hit in Central-Eastern Europe just like their next singles — "Nas ne dogoniat" and "30 minut". Their debut album "200 po Vstrechnoy" came out in May 2001, the english version of the album "200 km/h in the Wrong Lane" came out in 2002, the album was certified platinium by IFPI for over 1 milion copies sold in Europe and become the first foreign group to reach number 1 in Japan, it was also certified gold in United States. "All the thing she said" (english version of their song "Ya soshla s uma") have made it to first place of top songs in over 20 countries, and have been sold in 6 milion copies, it became one of the most succesful singles of XXI century. The controversial music video showing Julia Volkova and Lena Katina passionately kissing in rain infront of a crowd dressed in Catholic school uniforms was supposed to show — Created by their Manager Iwan Shapovalov — "love" between singers. Later on, t.A.T.u relased 3 english albums and 3 russian albums.

t.A.T.u scene image was controversial since beggining. They are most known from their first album, which was revolving around homosexual relations between Julia and Lena. During the promotion of second album they admitted that it all was just a marketing strategy, and they are not lesbians. Even after that they didn't give up on their homosexual characters. Lena Katina spoke up about it in one of their interviews in 2009

"Julia had some lesbian experiences before t.A.T.u, and i didn't, so it was obvious i was quite embarrased, it was foreign to me, but i agreed because i knew this topic is really important. I was on a meeting with fans in Los Angeles and alot of people are still greatful for us. One girl told me that t.A.T.u is the reason why she survived. It's a horrible feeling when you're a teenager and you know that you aren't like others. All your best friends are falling for boys, and you want a girl. You feel alone, and no one understands you, and then a band shows up and tells you that everything can happend in life and you shouldn't be afraid of who you are. When people are saying, we saved them from suicide, i feel like it wasn't pointless. (....) We are also actors somehow. We created a story of two girls in love, and we played it."

Their second album was about interpersonal problems, the russian title (Ludi Invalidy) itself was already controversial around organisations fighting for rights of disabled people. In their opinion the title was suggesting thath disables people don't live, they funcionate, and their only personality traits is stupidity, brutality and greed. Lena and Julia disagreed with organisations and said that they don't understans the point of singles name and the meaning behind it.

Their last pair of albums "Vesyolye Ubylki" and "Wasted Managment" was relased between 2008 and 2009. T.A.T.u oficially broke up in 2011, but they reunited to preform at special ocassions as The opening ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

You got it wrong (And I don't know how you manage to do that since there is also a video linked talking about her and the other 2 wives) She was definitely a Wallachian woman, even without the informations from the CD video with a name like Elena she can't be anything else. Olahus was in his quest to prove (or fake, most likely that) his family tree back then so he was just naming "his" relatives. CD talked a little about that in this video at 8:00

Chapter 28 Sneak Peak:

Rebekah walked down the corridor full of storage units on either side, Stefan a step behind her, searching for unit 1020, where her brother’s body was supposedly stored like some dusty ornament. It could be worse - Damon could have had the chance to drop her brother’s body in the ocean. However, even as it was, Rebekah was beginning to feel the thrum of her fury underneath her skin, enraged by the sheer… audacity. Her family had thwarted Mikael’s plans and escaped his capture for centuries, defeated even more enemies of their own design and yet, this bunch of moronic friends had somehow felled her brother, the most vicious and ruthless one of them all.

Rebekah planned to never let him forget it. Whether they woke him up tonight or in a century, she was never going to let Nik live this down. She might even spread the word a little, reach out to a few old friends. Ooooh she could write to Vlad, that would guarantee him laughing right in Nik’s face the next time he saw him-

He deserved that at least. For daggering her for ninety years, daggering her brothers, putting his pursuit for the damn hybrids over family.

Elijah would call her petty and childish. He'd call Kol that too - she knew he was most likely plotting something along the same lines. But Rebekah didn’t care. The sweet boy from her childhood, who used to give her gifts, who loved art and music… Rebekah could no longer see him anymore. Hadn’t seen him for decades. She’d caught a glimpse during their time in New Orleans but… whatever spark had been there, had burned in that theatre, along with Marcel. She no longer recognised the cruel, vindictive creature that put a doppelgängers life over his own family, who kept them in boxes the minute they displeased him-

No. It didn’t matter what Sam said. She didn’t care that in her brother’s twisted, fucked up head maybe he believed he was saving them from Hen’s fate. She didn’t. She didn’t care at all. She didn’t care about waking him either, for all she cared, he could stay in the box, just like Elijah planned.

She. Did. Not. Care.

She didn’t.

“So…” Rebekah drawled, eyeing the shuttered units as she stopped in the middle of the corridor, needing a distraction. Fast. “Where is he?”

Stefan sighed, slipping past her to take the lead. “Unit 1020. We went over this, Rebekah.”

“Yes, well, perhaps I’m beginning to get nervous, Stefan, since you don’t seem to know where we’re going.” She retorted, following him with a glare at his back.

They’d split up to search when they had arrived - Kiera had taken another corridor, when Stefan had admitted he didn’t know where exactly the storage unit was. Stefan had suggested they split up too but Rebekah wasn’t born yesterday. She wasn’t letting him out of her sight, especially with her brother’s vulnerable body in the building. The setback was making Rebekah’s skin itch with irritation and anxiety, aware time was not on their side. Alaric could be anywhere.

Stefan’s jaw ticked slightly, but otherwise didn’t rise to Rebekah’s ire. “Damon dropped off the body, I didn’t see where the storage unit was. I turned back halfway here to get to Elena.”

“Ah yes,” She said, unable to hide the bitterness in her own voice. “The beautiful, perfect doppelgänger who can do no wrong. How is that relationship going by the way?”

Stefan didn’t answer her. He kept his gaze ahead, stride slightly quickening, but even from the back, she recognised she’d hit a nerve. Though-

Rebekah tilted her head. Smirked.

-He still did have a nice behind.

Bloody doppelgänger. Did she have to charm her way into every man’s heart? Rebekah had met Stefan first. Truly wasn’t fair.

“You know, all the doppelgängers are the same.” She continued, just as Stefan decided to stop in the middle of the corridor for some reason. “And I don’t mean in appearance, I mean their magnetism, their unnatural lure… Both Elijah and Nik were quite charmed with Tatia, if I recall. And then with Katerina - quite the manipulative little lamb, that one. With Tatia at least, I think she just liked the attention, but Katerina truly upped the game, I was quite envious-”

Stefan whirled around, flashed towards her and grabbed her, one hand on her mouth, pulling her quickly around a corner, hiding her from sight. She was just about to break all of Stefan’s fingers, maybe throw him into the wall to unleash a little of her anger and snap his neck for good measure, when he whispered in her ear.

“Sssshh. We’re not alone.”

Rebekah ceased her struggles. Her eyes met Stefan’s.

And then she heard the footsteps.

Kamelia Rozalia Dimitrescu; borned on 17th of December xxxx. Daughter of Elena Mariana Dimitrescu, step-daughter of Alexandru Liviu Dimitrescu, biological daughter of Alucard -known as Vlad the Impaler of Romania, Count of Dracula. Kamelia’s ethnicity is Romanian, currently living in the underworld, her clan's world, Demonia. Kamelia, as part of the tradition in their clan for years, is a part of the Phantom Dogs, an assassins organization created by her great-grandmother when the war between the Bat clan and Vibora clan happened years ago. There are approximately 53 paladins in training in the barracks of Lunamire. Of these, six are in the player characters' relative age group and experience level.

Celestian Dionisie Balauru

Celestian Dionisie Balauru, a devoted Paladin of the Morninglord, emerges from the lineage of lesser nobles, his path marked by valor and faith. Aged 19, his youth belies a wisdom beyond his years. Guided by his unshakable devotion, Celestian wields his blade gracefully, defending the righteous and standing sentinel against darkness. Born of noble blood, he rejected complacency, choosing instead a life of purpose. His resolute spirit is matched only by his unwavering belief in justice, a beacon of light amidst the shadows. Celestian champions the Morninglord's cause with each step, a steadfast guardian of hope and virtue. When not training, he studies ancient history, legends, and lore. An avid bibliophile, he often borrows books from the ex-Burgomaster's Taddeus' library. Consequently, he also appears to have a romantic interest in his daughter, Laffira.

Costi Negrescu

Costi Negrescu, a paladin serving the Morning Lord, possesses a unique path forged by fate's hand. Aged 23, his journey began as a thief in the bustling market of Vallaki. He was caught stealing and was about to lose both hands when a paladin intervened on his behalf. Costi was so grateful that he became a squire and eventually trained as a knight. Costi loves to drink, climb trees, and play pranks. Best friends with Zaaida. Nicknamed "Drunken Costi."

Ivan Devaux

Ivan Devaux, an earnest paladin-in-training at the Temple of the Morning Lord, hails from a quiet village on the outskirts of the enigmatic Barovia. Aged 17, his path is illuminated by faith and the dawning light. Amidst the temple's teachings, he finds solace in wielding polearms, a unique skill he's honed with dedication. Beyond his martial pursuits, Ivan's heart thrives in the gentle art of sketching the swamps' elusive wildlife, capturing their essence on parchment. A lover of still waters, he often retreats to the tranquil shores, casting lines and embracing the harmony of fishing. Ivan's soul is woven with the threads of art, devotion, and valor. Good friends with Spurio, they often wander the wilderness together.

Zaaida el-Barakat

Zaaida el-Barakat, a steadfast Paladin of the Morninglord, carries the radiant mantle of hope. Aged 24 and of Terg origin, she was orphaned during the war and taken in by the church. Her bond with fellow brothers-at-arms is resolute, yet at times, she grapples with dejection–always an outsider in Barovian culture. She has begun penning a chronicle of the war, jotting down any and all stories of battles, victories, and Terg defeats. She has taught several paladins the Terg language. One of five female trainees among the ranks. Best friends with Costi.

Vlad Basti Rosen

Vlad Basti Rosen, a determined paladin-in-training at the Temple of the Morning Lord, was orphaned in the crucible of war. Aged 20, his spirit is tempered by the loss of his family yet ignited by his faith. Amidst rigorous training, he excels in spirited athletic contests, channeling his boundless energy into feats of strength. A connoisseur of baked delights, his heart finds comfort in the village's array of confections. Vlad's two-weapons fighting style is superb, a testament to his dedication. Yet, his most profound secret lies in his unspoken love for Elena the Baker.

Gavril Herrlein

Gavril Herrlein, a seasoned paladin-in-training at the Temple of the Morning Lord, is the group's elder statesman at 35. His age belies his tenacity, often guiding the youngest with his accumulated wisdom. A familiar figure in the training yard, he engages in wooden sword sparring sessions, honing his and others' skills. Talkative and mild-mannered, though occasionally veering into pessimism, Gavril's words carry a wealth of experience. A veteran of the latter days of the war, haunting nightmares are the remnants of his battles. Through it all, his unwavering dedication to the light remains a beacon for those he mentors. Gavril lost his wife in the war and fell to despair, eventually turning to the church for guidance.

Alex Drijus Von Vollis

Alex Drijus Von Vollis, a young paladin-in-training at the Temple of the Morning Lord, is the tenth child of a noble house, sent to the church for reform. At 16, his fiery temper clashes with the teachings of the Morninglord. Yet, his compassion for animals and dedication to swordsmanship shine through. Struggling with arrogance and violence, he's faced oaths of silence as punishment. While his skills and potential are evident, his probationary status casts uncertainty on his future as a paladin. Alex has an apparent dislike for Spurio, Zaaida, and Darius.

Spurio Bedirhan

Spurio Bedirhan was left at the church's steps in Vallaki by his Vistani parents. Once orphaned, he was educated by the church and sent to train in Lunamire. Now aged 18, he wields two shortswords with remarkable dexterity, favoring supple leather over clunky metal armor. His faith is unwavering, demonstrated through earnest meditation and fervent prayers. Beyond the training grounds, Spurio loves to dance, play music, weave tales, and forage for medicinal herbs and berries. His youth belies his dedication and aptitude as he navigates the dual paths of combat and spirituality, driven by a profound sense of purpose. Spurio is extremely attractive and more than one of the young women in town has shown romantic interest. He seems oblivious.

Luca Ciprian Ionesco

Luca Ciprian Ionesco, inseparable from his best friend Darius, stands out with his wiry frame among the paladins. Despite being the least physically endowed in his age group, he endures training's beating with determination. A farmer's son from Krezk's outskirts, his strong work ethic shines. Luca's heart bursts with love for Alara, though she scarcely notices him. His passion for throwing daggers and crafting them complements his hardworking nature.

Darius Qhudihe Shrabomos

Darius Qhudihe Shrabomos, a product of divergent lineage, bears the mark of being half Terg, half-drow. Rescued from the clutches of a roving Vistani circus, where he was grotesquely exhibited as a cannibalistic anomaly, fate led him to the church's embrace. Education and training under the church's tutelage now pave the path of his redemption as a paladin serving the Morninglord – a sardonic twist of fate he keenly feels. Daylight poses a challenge, causing him to seek sanctuary within the abbey's subterranean recesses. Suspicion and prejudice from villagers shroud his attempts at camaraderie, yet his commitment and trustworthiness have endeared him to his peers in the barracks. Sir Brandak champions inclusion and will not stand for the lesser treatment of Darius. Luca is his closest ally. Twenty years of age, Darius hones his scimitar skills under Spurio's guidance, finding solace in astronomy–a discipline that favors night. He embodies the distinctive appearance of his people – stark white hair, pointed ears, and a dark brown complexion. Darius, who speaks Terg, Drowish, and Vistani, profoundly resents the Vistani, especially the Corvara Boemians. Some of the young women in town are curious and intrigued by Darius but too afraid to talk to him.
