I’ve been gone for so long but I have so much to say and idk how to say it so please be prepared for an absolute mess of an ask lol

First, I just really wanna give appreciation for Super Emeralds (The comic creator) and their dedication to THOAM. I’ve been on Tumblr for just a little more than a year at this point, and I only joined in the first place because of this comic. I got into it way back in… What was it, 2020?? 2021? And I fell in love immediately with the concept! Sonic feeling insecure about his new Werehog form? Chip being an active member of the team and a great friend?? TEAM DARK??? SONADOW DONE RIGHT?????????? Ohohoho! You can bet I was completely on board! I tried my best to comment on every page, because I just love giving positive feedback for things I enjoy, and took note of how Super Emeralds evolved their style as the years went on. I wasn’t there during the beginning, and I really wish I was, but the time I’ve spent following this fun little comic has made me feel so much appreciation not just for Super Emeralds as a person, but for the entire Sonic art community as a whole! Art is a creative endeavor, a passionate career, and sometimes it’s really hard to just. Draw. Comics are especially hard as I’ve discovered. So just… Good job to Super Emeralds for sticking around all these years and for giving us such an incredibly thought out and beloved series. And thank you.

I’ve been a bit absent from Tumblr for the last few weeks due to sickness and lack of interest so I am undoubtedly missing a page or two from the equation but OH MY GOSH. POOR SONIC. Bro wakes up from like a 2-day long nap and the first thing he sees is his little brother screaming in his face at 3AM. He’s so confused haha! I noticed he isn’t as insecure or he isn’t really freaking out as much as I assumed he would way back during the exposition pages. This is obviously due to the confusion and whiplash after waking up as his “Normal” self again, but I feel like it’s just him putting on another fascade around his friends. To an extent, at least. He isn’t aware of the new pink markings all over his body and he isn’t aware of just how worried all his friends were. All he knows is that they know about his new form and they for some reason aren’t acting weird about it, so he’s likely just playing along to make sure nobody gets overly concerned. It just seems like something he’d do. Or maybe I’m just grasping at the angst straws, idk.

OMEGA IS FIXED BY THE WAY I DO NOT WISH TO GLOSS OVER THAT FACT. THE BOY IS BACK!! THE ROBO BOYO IS BACK!!! I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE ALL THE CRIMES HE’LL BE ABLE TO COMMIT ONCE TAILS GETS THOSE ROCKET LAUNCHERS WORKING AGAIN HEHEHEEE

Also let’s not gloss over how Omega doesn’t care that Sonic mauled him to death. Let’s not gloss over the fact that Omega clearly cares for the others because of his ignorance to Sonic’s rampage.

Uhhhhh I don’t really have much else to say, honestly. Maybe I will later, but right now I’m on a time crunch so I gotta keep this all pretty concise. Thank you so so much for reading all the way through, I know this was a really really long one. And again, thanks to Super Emeralds for being able to last this long and not losing motivation for the comic. I know I would’ve given up after just 5 pages! (I actually tried to make a comic of sorts and I literally gave up after 5 pages I am not kidding.)

can i just say that u convinced me to watch hate crimes md in the year 2023. i watched half of the first season and it was absolutely insane and really funny and i could see that it was going to melt my brain while committing all kinds of tv crimes. anyway i had to stop watching because i was busy with grad school stuff but now it's like. do i take the plunge and continue watching this insane show from the 2000s. or do i walk away.... look what you have done tumblr user thealogie 🫡

Not a show I can recommend to anyone in good conscience but it’s there is a better version of it that plays in my head seamlessly whenever I watch it and that version of the show truly deserved 16 emmy wins and a mcarthur genius grant. Anyway hugh laurie literally gave the performance of a lifetime like watching a guy walk a tightrope with no net. the writers keep lobbing atrocities at him and he was like “by god I will make this guy a likable baby girl no matter what you throw at me”

Oh by the way I’ve been very quiet on here about what’s happening in Palestine just because I don’t find very much information or activism through Tumblr but if you ‘Stand with Israel’ or think they have ‘the right to defend themselves’ or think thousands of innocent Palestinians deserve to die in the name of condemning Hamas as an organization then please fucking unfollow me!

The Israeli occupation of this land is genocide and ethnic cleansing. They are committing and HAVE BEEN committing war crimes against Palestine for over 70 years. Millions of Palestinians have been displaced, thousands dead. If we don’t demand a ceasefire then they’ll cease to exist.

Any so Free Palestine and if u think differently then you’re not welcome on this blog :)

this fic omg. i personally love detective and mysteries so i was determined to see this thru— naturally, i binge-read this.

this felt like a sherlock holmes in attack on titan. there were parts of the story where the reader was tasked in deciphering codes, to which you can solve along as well. i certainly did. i sat up from bed, grabbed a pen and paper and tried to decipher before continuing the chapter.

the plot was sososo great. the case that they were trying to solve makes u really think who could be the suspects and what other type of evidences could have been shed to light. it did not disappoint!! delving into the life of a detective being pressured to resolve these crimes being committed in order to prevent more crimes happening.

in terms of the relationship with levi, it was gradually developed. its got the type of slowburn that was so satisfying at the end and was not way too drawn out. the lingering and the yearning was SO WORTH IT. the cast as well *chef's kiss* never a dull moment with the aot characters. their contributions to the story was substantial. as well as the other original side characters, keep an eye on them.

silesy was incredible at conjuring the red string of fate in this where different people were intertwined and all had particular roles to play in the story. the connections between details in the story will make u go "ayo?!" or "i knew it!" to which makes the experience greater cos you get mindblown.

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that it is 100% not your job to monitor what minors are doing online whether you write nsfw content or not. Minors who want to consume nsfw content most definitely are not going to care about a warning and it is 100% on parents to ensure their children don’t have access to that kind of content. I wish tumblr had a better system for blocking minors from viewing that kind of content, but it’s the internet and I feel like people really need a dose of reality when it comes to the internet. I’ve seen some real vile, fucked up works of fiction online and yours are literally just basic taboo with very, very common kinks that are usually only hot in a fictional setting. I understand everyone has boundaries, but some people truly shouldn’t scour the internet if they can’t grasps that someone that’s not committing a crime (or even writing about minors in the first place because can we talk about how common it is for fandoms to write porn between minors or even minors with adults??) should be able to write a work of fiction. I might come off as overly mad about this but as someone who dealt with sexual abuse from a family member as a minor, I find it crazy when someone starts suggesting that engaging with incest fics or even ddlg fics is supporting grooming or pedophilia. Writing should always be a safe outlet of expression and if people find it gross, they do not have to consume that content. If I was you, I would just ignore it all. You’re not at fault for anyone but *you*. Not what your followers say, not what someone doesn’t agree with, not if a minor reads your work. This is your page and you don’t have to explain yourself to anyone for writing insanely common smut even if you do want to be respectful. You deserve respect as well and I find it disrespectful that people expect u to be mommy to everyone on ur page.

U don’t have to post this either, I just wanted to rant as well because I’m mad that u had to deal with people making u feel bad about small things like a warning and accidentally using the word grooming in the wrong context when u obviously have 0 bad intentions and are always so fucking kind.

I didn’t even get a chance to defend myself before everyone just dropped me like I have the plague lol.

And to be quite honest, I find it kinda hypocritical to unfollow me for a misunderstanding when most of the mutuals I followed at the time wrote equally problematic/dark content (and I’m not even writing underage or grooming to begin with!).

Like it’s one thing for someone to not follow me for their own reasons; it’s another to tell people not to because of X, Y, Z and it not even be in the correct context cause you’re just cherry picking my asks/posts based on my ignorance.

Your defense of Israel murdering or displacing all the Palestinians is disgusting.

You defend the government’s actions over the whole course of its existence and deny is subjugation and occupation of Palestine.

Israel is a colonist nation. Regardless of who your ancestors are from thousands of years ago, you do not get to go to another country and forcefully expel its current population out of some inane sense of birthright.

I am African American. My ancestors were stolen from their homelands, sold to slavers, and shipped across the sea where then endured torture in every meaning of the word for generations. The African American community is still recovering.

But that in no way gives me the right to return to the African country of my ancestors and demand that whoever lives there (and has lived there for centuries) leaves and gives their land to me so I can make a new country. And I’m talking about a crime that happened only 300 years ago, not thousands.

The Israel government is currently committing war crimes at unprecedented levels in modern times. And their only goal is to expel all Palestinian from Gaza (and the West Bank). They don’t care about the hostages, they just want land.

October 7th does not exist in a vacuum. Even if it did it would not justify the thousands of children that have been murdered as a result. Over the course of 75 years of occupation Israel have murdered countless children and other innocents, all far before October 7th.

Antisemitism is an incredibly serious problem in the world. But antizionism is not antisemitism. What right do westerners, regardless of who their ancestors were and regardless of what they have been through, to forcefully claim an already occupied plot of land in the Middle East. The answer is none. If they do so they are colonizers. Just like if I were to forcefully claim land in Africa today I would be a colonizer.

Real nazis exist. White supremacist exist. And many of them actual support Israel because they recognize it as a facist state that kills brown people.

True antisemitism exists and it is being largely ignored so Zionists can attack Palestinians and other Arabs for refusing to give their own land to Western transplants.

You should reflect on the empathy you have for Israel soldiers and the lack of empathy you have for the Palestinian children (the nearly 10,000) who have been blown up, shot, and starved to death of the course of the last few months.

You justify their deaths at every corner and talk about the fear of violence you feel, but not the actual violence they endure.

You have the nerve to write about a complicated middle eastern child like Damian when if he were real, you would be justifying his murder at the hands of western fascists.

This is the kind of stuff that can radicalise people in the wrong direction, and terfs are now taking advantage of blaze posts being unavoidable, so impressionable people will see it and believe it.

Transgender people are going to commit crime. Some of those crimes are going to be bad. This is because transgender people have no difference from cis people other than gender indentity. Some trans people are going to be bad people, that's just a fact. Cherrypicking these people to condemn an entire group is simply nonsensical.

Statistics this post of course does not touch on is that transgender people are over four times more likely to fall victim of violence than their cisgender counterparts outside of prison, and transgender women are ten times more likely to suffer sexual assault than cisgender women in prison. According to a survey in 2019, 24.1% of transgender women in federal prison have been sexually assaulted (compared to the 2% national averge), and when reporting these assaults to authorities, they have largely been ignored or even publicly mocked by correctional officers. Transgender people are also far more likely to get incarcerated for the same crimes that cisgender people can get away with.

So if your response to these statistics is that a marginalised community are at fault for a problem that affects them more than it affects anyone else, and not that prison needs to be greatly reformed and I'll go as far to say abolished, you are just not a good person. There far more transgender women in men's prison and jail suffering for petty crimes, than the few actual bad people the post has picked out to sell its evil point. You want hundreds and thousands of people to suffer years of sexual assault for the crimes of a select few? Because that's what happens when you lock transgender women in men's prison and jail.

The problem is with a system that allows inmates to inflict violence on each other, not with the marginalised community that suffers from it the most. This is really not that hard to understand. Yes, I have done my research, thank you.

No-one needs to shit on the new Saints Row, it's done it itself. 67 on metacritic, 2.5 user rating, so utterly terrible that Embracer Group's stock tanked the moment reviews became public. Outside of Tumblr, you're gonna struggle to find any opinion of the story and characters that's positive.

The fanbase -- the actual fanbase, not the people who demand the things they never intend to buy cater to them -- warned Deep Silver the game would bomb, and it did. No-one wanted a Saints Row game without the Saints, no-one wanted a story about a bunch of badly written characters that commit crime to pay off student loans while they bitch about destroying capitalism. No-one wanted a buggy left-wing power fantasy that even the vast majority of the left finds cringe-worthy and undeserving of their time.

TLDR: This is what happens when you alienate 80% of the existing fanbase to appeal to a vocal minority that were never fans and that were never going to buy the game no matter how much they were pandered to. Or: get woke, go broke.
