FFXV Fic Recommendations

Hello! I thought I’d share some of my favorite fics from my most favorite game. Will update with more when I read more. Thank you!

Set Thy Hidden Stars On Fire by MYuzuki (16k words)

This time, when Prompto wakes up to start a new loop, it’s raining.

Normally, this wouldn’t be a cause for concern (or even a blip on his radar, really) but this time he wakes up outside for some reason, which means he’s in the rain.

And as his luck would have it, it’s something of a downpour.

If you love Prompto, you’ll love this fic. It’s relatively short, but managed to have me still think about it nearly a year after reading. MYuzuki is a great author!

Salvation by cassisluna (11k words)

Nyx Ulric lives and accompanies Lunafreya across Lucis to wake the six. Written for the 2021 FFXV Reverse Bang.

As she travels to wake Titan and Ramuh, Luna is grateful for the time given to her to see the land of Lucis with her own eyes and feet.

Nyx promised the King that he would see Princess Lunafreya to Altissia, and it seems easy enough—until he learns the Oracle's price for forging the covenants. After that, it's just a matter of... maybe going off-route for a while to let the princess sight-see for a bit.

I love anything that expands upon Lunafreya’s character or Kingsglaive. This fic did not disappoint with that at all.

Worth The Risk by Asidian (6k words)

It's captivating. Prompto's probably going to have thirty-eight photos of it for them to relive the experience, in vivid detail, later on.

But Prompto's not taking pictures anymore, Noct realizes. The camera's stopped.

And when Noctis looks over to see what the matter is, Prompto's just staring through the view-finder, head angled up. He's gone absolutely sheet-white – looks like he might pass out. He says, "Noct," very softly, like it's a plea.

Then the world explodes, and something slams into Noctis with the force of a subway train, and everything goes dark.

I adore Asidian’s writing, especially for Prompto. This, and any of their other fics you should absolutely check out!

Honor Bound by The_Asset6 (125k words)

It’s still hard for Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto to believe that Noctis has been gone for a year. However, when an old ally appears to tell them that what is gone might not be lost after all, that spark of hope they kept alive during their ten years apart is rekindled. Their only question: what will they have to sacrifice this time in order to bring their brother back alive?

This fic focuses more on the bros rather than Noctis himself, and it was really nice to see from their POV how far they’d go to get Noct back. A longer read but didn’t drag, great fic!

Somnus Ultima by The_Asset6 (349k words)

King Regis and Queen Aulea’s desire for a child has finally been fulfilled, as well as their kingdom’s need for an heir to the throne. However, when a dark mage with a vendetta against Lucis blesses the young prince with a deadly curse, they realize that no sacrifice is too much when it comes to someone you love.

But too much, it turns out, is never enough.

A sleeping beauty AU! I won’t lie, this one is long, but it’s so worth it. I don’t typically like AU fics, preferring canon-compliant work, but I gave this one a chance and didn’t regret it. The author made great use of the characters and created a lengthy but not hard to read story that was very enjoyable.

Reliance, Resolve by Gnine (13k words)

"Where are you?"

Noct. Voice controlled, each word precise and even. In other words, pissed off to the point of seething. Prompto had obviously screwed up. Again. Seemed about all he was capable of doing lately when it came to Noct—and just about everything else.

Prompto's self-reliant streak kicks into overdrive, sending his life into a tailspin.

A nice pre-game fic centered around Prompto, giving some insight to his and Noct’s relationship. Author tagged as pre-slash.

I was wandering around Limsa Lominsa wondering how to get some gil because I had no idea teleporting costed money, but after asking a public novice chat, some Level 90 white mage appeared to me inside Noctis' car from FFXV and told me to get in. I did. The Regalia revealed itself to be the flying regalia, and then they flew me into random encounters outside the city to make cash.

okay, time for some Stella Lore™

Stella was originally going to have her own familiars, similar to Noctis with Carbuncle, in the form of these Giza Rabbits/White Hares from FFXII (specifically Revenant Wings, since that's the one i played, lol)

Stella herself was also going to be a lot different. she was originally supposed to be younger, not shipped with anyone, an actual healer (similar to a white mage), and her ending was supposed to be very tragic. in fact, she herself was tragic; she was much more genuinely snarky than comedically dumb, and far more self-aware.

obviously almost everything about the original concept for Stella has since changed. "canon" Stella is older, half of the Stellnis ship, is still technically a healer but really bad at it (lol), and no longer has a sarcastic personality, nor a tragic ending of any sort. she's instead the sweet, dumbass ball of chaos who most of my friends and followers have come to know.

however, there is one thing i technically kept, which is the inclusion of her familiars, the White Hares pictured above (i know i'm mixing Final Fantasy universes here, but bear with me, lol).

Stella is able to use her healing powers via a special brooch that her mother gave her when she was young. the brooch had been blessed by the Crystal via Regis; the only way members of the Izunia bloodline could successfully channel the Crystal's power. like Noct's Carbuncle amulet that we see in Brotherhood, Stella's brooch is really hiding her own guardians.

i've mostly done away with the symbolism surrounding the White Hares and kept them as a hidden facet of Stella's story (especially since her brooch is unfortunately destroyed by Ardyn during Chapter 8 of the game), but there is one significant little thing.

after the Marilith attack, a tiny 6 year old Stella found a 10 year old Ignis crying alone outside of Noct's room when her mother took her to visit. she sat with him, and gave him her doll to hold, a plushie of a White Hare. when it was time for Stella and her mother to leave, Stella smiled up at Ignis and told him to keep the doll.

Ignis did keep it, and he eventually gives it to their daughter, 20+ years later.

"How?" Noct would ask when they're still sitting on those crumbled steps together. "All those years without a word or sign of me. How did you have the heart to stay when others fled?"

"Others began to feel abandoned. I never did. Not to overstep, but," Nyx will look at him slowly, and Noctis' eyes will flick down quickly to pretend that he hasn't been staring at Nyx deeply this whole time, "I know your heart, Noctis." Fine fine fine, Noct will look at him again. "I know the care you put into this realm and for the people in it. You would never abandon it so carelessly or without reason. If you did, there would be nothing left. Not even these ruins before us. I held onto that. Told myself to keep going if I wanted to see the day you returned."

Noct will be silent for a minute, because again, the sentiment. I think the sentiment Nyx shares here might be a level that he's never really expressed. At least not so vulnerably or verbally. And then -

"Your perseverance is admirable, Dear Knight. I can't help but feel I'm in your debt."

"You owe me nothing. Besides," Nyx will lean back on the steps, relaxing and taking a breath, a crooked smile as he looks at Noct once more and, "it was worth the wait."

As for the other Endless, I'm going off of the ones I've seen in the show so far. I never read the comics before, and a quick google search tells me there's 7 altogether :o

For Death, maybe that could be Luna? Might sound funny given she's literally the whole white mage healer deal. But! I think the way Death really loves and takes pride/care in her work, and has this calming way with people are qualities that go well with Luna. And if Death is one of the siblings Dream really confides in and he values her insight so much? I'm here for it even more, give me big sis Luna for Noct to look up to!!

For Desire - Ok idk if this is gonna sound weird either! But I feel like if anyone from XV could match their energy, I think it'd be Loqi lol. I know he's barely even in the game but.. akdjsfkd I dunno!! Out of everyone else, I can just see him being the sibling that has some fuckery up his sleeve to derail/destroy Noct. Give me that scene of Noct pinning Loqi down in the AC Festival DLC but with much higher stakes and full on animosity lol.

For Despair - HMMM I'm actually stumped on that one lol. Not sure who would be a good pick to match that energy. Another excuse for a rewatch lol even tho Despair only has like two short appearances in the show so far.. am I remembering that correctly?? Idk!! But need to rewatch for sure lol.

Always thinking of you

Quietly leaving the flying ships cabin, the nocturnal feline summoner made his way towards the ships railing. The night left him feeling anxious, wanting to move and explore, and learn the tales of all the stars and constellations. Sadly, deep blue eyes gazed heavenward. Those shining stars reminded him of his bonded, and the one who he had to keep away from...for now. The miqo'te gazed down at the simple ring on his hand. The gem shimmering in the moonlight. The light reflecting on it made it seem like it was forged from Menphina's ice itself.

"Ignis...." Are you gazing at the same sky as I am right now?

For the last few years they had to be separated because of conflicts, and of course the mad man chasing him down, and his father being influenced by an Aeon... Ignis had agreed to stay behind and play the part of loyal tracker for the Caelum family. However, before the miqo'te had run away he and Ignis had a bonding ceremony. Their rings able to connect them...even when far apart.

"'Wherever you are..all always come to your side'...that's what you told me, right Ignis?" Closing his eyes he pictured his beloved Elezen, lifting his hand up to kiss the cool gem. He craved the white mages touch, and the comforting and familiar presence that came with him there. The fire and heat that rumbled beneath that cool facade, and sharp green eyes the color Nophica's forests. His tail twitched with remembrance, but sadly ...nothing would come of it. 'Ignis...are you thinking of me too?'

Miles away, standing in the amphitheater of Gridania, the Elezen mage gazed up at the constellations he and his beloved had memorized hundreds of times in their youth. Silently he removed his gloved, left hand, and gazed at the ring that stood out against his damaged flesh. Picturing his bonded, he lifted his hand up to kiss the band reverently. 'Noctis...I love you...always.'

They shared the same sky. Their souls bonded by the vows of bonding, and the love that strengthened in their youth to now. No matter how far apart they will feel one another, and shall always be a hearts wish away to go to their lovers side.

Always...

Do you thing Ardyn still has stuff in his armiger from Aera and Gil? (or maybe even Somnus) My friend suggested "A Second Chance at Family" to me and I just started and came to the part with the cooler and baby bottle and it got me thinking about what else he might have stored in there. Did Aera put her robes and jewelry in the armiger? Does he still have a hairbrush and bedroll that belong to Gil? A mortar and pestle Somnus gave him before he left home. Also do you think time passes in the armiger? or would it keep things perfectly preserved?

Sorry this is late! This is a sideblog and this got buried under asks from other blogs. -sheepish-

Man. Feels train here, wow, I was not prepared for this, I really wasn't. I hope you still see this somehow - let me know! - but, working backwards: time stops in the armiger, or at least slows to a crawl. You definitely don't want to put anyone living into it, because the jolt between living-stasis-living again would probably cause some sort of massive shock reaction that would not end well. But it keeps 'things' preserved nicely, to be sure. Neither rot nor rust will be found in its confines.

I'm going to say it's highly likely that he kept things for Gilgamesh, the way Noctis did for his retinue - namely weapons - and probably has things of Aera's, even if only things that she'd accidentally left behind when they parted - maybe hair ribbons or jewelry or even a cloak or nightgown.

There is a heartbreaking chance it still smells like her.

As for Somnus, I'm going to say he definitely hung on to presents from his brother at the time. A particularly easy to enchant mythril dagger? A carving of Etro's symbol, which would one day become Lucis' sigil? Perhaps the garments of a proper white mage - heavy white cotton with triangles of blood red around the sleeve cuffs and the bottom of the robe.

"Wear something that suits your path, brother," Somnus had said. "You know, strategically speaking one aims for the healers first," Gilgamesh added, perhaps genuinely concerned and perhaps to be contrary. He and Somnus hadn't seen eye to eye for some time and neither of them was willing to tell him why. "They're in for an ugly surprise if they try to take our firebrand out," Somnus said, and for a moment it was like no time had passed at all, the smile warm and fond. "I'd be honored," Ardyn had said, and meant it at the time. Little had he known what would happen when Gilgamesh confessed of the killings his brother had commanded. Never could he have imagined that Somnus would do more than argue, would turn on him completely. Would be out for his blood, and take it.

I might have to address this properly in the fic, but for now have a lil snip. Thank you. This was a heartbreaking but wonderful detail to contemplate.

there's quite a few characters im struggling to give a definitive classes to but none are as painful as wei wuxian oh my god i can't decide if i think he'd be a reaper, a black mage or a bard. theyd all kinda make sense with him! hell, even machinist!!

anyway he's in the naughty corner with dante byleth link and noctis for troublesome characters whod easily be multiclass. in the end i made dante and link tanks (dark knight and paladin respectively), byleth a white mage healer and noctis a red mage. part of the struggle with wwx is that ive got him as a dps it's just that he works with so many! at least with the other troublesome characters it was mostly a matter of which role theyd play! (joseph is a white mage as well mostly to help fill in the healer positions (and i love me some hamon), but monk machinist or astrologian are also nice!! wait i changed my mind he's now an astrologian main because healer, "seeing the future" and also ast is just so complicated. i need to relearn how to play it it's changed so much in endwalker!!! same for summoner but i don't like the rotation of the primals i think it's very dumb so i guess it's time to learn how to play scholar!!!)

+not jinx tho. jinx is a machinist through and through (same as tony stark). and yor is a ninja. tanjiro is a samurai, legolas a bard and luffy and sonic are both monks. punch and kick buds.)

What if Carbuncle was a broach where one can summon its powers in battle, it could give one white mage like powers. So in my mind I came up with silly au with alternative traditional ff classes. On the right it’s the inverted white mage clothing.

Did the FFXV event with Noct on E’lunae today. Making good use of the free login campaign and that I was home today. Had 2 crates drop from the new Fate so I was able to buy the orchestration Rolls that I wanted form the vendor, now just have to grind my way through the Gold Saucer to get enough MGP to buy the regalia (never really liked playing on the saucer but I want that mount damn it!)

Quite like the clothes you get from the quest. Hope they’ll be on the Mogstation later as I can’t run the quest with E’lyon or Jojoyon (I know that I can buy the item to skip the entire first story part and be able to play this quest, but I created them to enjoy the story as I was rushed trough it on E’lunae)

In Dreams au, what did Ignis' uncle think about Noctis, both before and after he went missing? Because if he is the Chief of Staff at the Citadel then he was the guy that Cor dragged along to suppress the rumours about Noctis being a bastard.

Cinis didn't have very high opinions about Noctis before he vanished, and while he was gone, they were even lower.

From his perspective Noctis just isn't powerful enough to sit on the throne of Lucis. No magical power to speak of. Noctis also actively avoids people and makes no moves to accumlate personal power among the nobles.

Not a good politician. Not a good leader.

But he will be King. Because only the Lucis Caelums can be Kings. So it is a high honour for his family that little Ignis was chosen to be a companion to the prince. With a weak King to be on the throne, if a Scientia belonged to his inner circle, it meant all the more power for them.

He knew Aulea well enough however not to believe a word about the rumours. And he also knows Regis well enough to know that even if they had been true, he would have claimed Noctis as his own anyway. The child passed his Introduction to the Crystal anyway. So that point is moot.

Now, after Noctis shows back up?

His opinion changes entirely. Because while Noctis, at first glance, might look like a wandering vagabond, Cinis has known both Mors and Regis. He can recognise power. And this older Noctis has it.

This older Noctis is confident, settled in his skin in a way the younger never was. There's an aura about him that demands respect and attention. From how he holds himself, he also must have learned how to give orders and have them followed. At least to an extend.

When Cinis first meets Noctis again, he doesn't know the prince is magically powerful. But he sees little Astra making sparkly hands to entertain himself (Ardyn showed him that and Noctis isn't exactly happy about it, but it keeps his son occupied, so he's not complaining) and knows at least he managed to father a powerful child.

Here's something that might come outta left field, what fics do you recommend in the FFXV fandom?

Oooooo okay hmmm. Lemme see what I have. I warn you now that most of these are either short, time-travel, or Prompto angst, but I’ll try to add a little summary to each so you can pick what interests you:

https://archiveofourown.org/works/27588704 “Toward Daylight We Run” by SparkleMoose (here on Tumblr as @sparklecryptid) is a time-travel fixit involving Titus, who wakes up post being killed by Nyx with a case of confusion, anger, and le self-doubt, and a Glaive OC who died during the betrayal and who is very understandably angry at them. It’s gonna be a former-enemies-to-lovers thing eventually I think, and tho there’s only two chaps so far I recommend it (I recommend several of Moose’s actually, just watch the tags if you’re not into M-rated or have trigger warnings to look out for) This one does have trigger warning tags for suicidal thoughts and PTSD, so watch out for that.

This one is an FFXIV Warrior of Light reborn as a street rat in Insomnia and adopted by Clarus, again, just getting started, but very feelsy and I love it. These two are gonna be a ship and I love it.

Basically, Noctis runs a tiny twitch channel playing really old RPGs without telling Ignis or Regis and ONE DAY a stray new viewer happens to realize, “huh, this guy looks like the prince” and it spiral wonderfully from there.

This is actually a little gift oneshot thing inspired by one of my AUs here on Tumblr (Clouds and Moonlit Skies) where a bunch of FFVII characters are reborn as various OCs and canon characters in FFXV. Zack is Noctis, Cloud is Prompto, Aerith is Luna, Titus is Sephiroth, and Rufus and Yuffie are reborn as Imperial Royal Twins with the world’s most terrible dad aka Emperor Aldercapt. So naturally Noctis has to prank the Emperor of Niflheim on their behalf.

It’s inspired by Deleantur verse in the sense of “Noctis goes back to the time of Somnus and Ardyn” but it’s cheerfully wandering off in a very different direction and there is WORLDBUILDING and BACKSTORY and Ardyn and Aera being ADORABLE. Seriously it’s great. Again, it’s only got a few chaps on it, but I love it already and highly recommend.

This is a RAVUS time-travel fixit, 87 chaps long (tho the chaps are short) and fully completed. Basically Ravus dies, the Astrals think “Free Real Estate” and proceed to dump him into the past in the body of a Coeurl. It’s angst and shenanigans and Ravus stubbornly refusing to admit that he is growing attached to these tiny child versions of people all while going through hell and high water to protect them from destiny. It’s a happy ending too!

But it’s got 14 stellar chapters of Noctis being gently plopped back into his child self with only vague memories of the future while the Lucii and the Astrals set about fixiting the world on his behalf. It also features adorable, slightly daemon-but-don’t-worry-he’s-fine Prompto and Dadcor. Also ghost Ardyn.

Such as them being kids while Gladio and Ignis of that world are already adults. It’s just a nice, quirky, kinda angsty-in-places read and I really enjoyed it (despite the undertones of slash that crop up in some places but hey maybe that’s your cup of tea) but as always read the tags and decide for thineself.

The Taur AU that inspired Nox Taur, 11/10 do recommend (even though there are slash and femslash ships in there later on but HEY just because I skipped over those parts doesn’t mean this fic isn’t great). Features baby Noctis being adorable, some cool world-building, Regis being a Good Dad, DadCor, and just- a great fixit all around with some amazing AU take on the Astrals and the prophecy and all that stuff.

This is ... essentially a canon compliant look at Prompto first introducing himself to and getting to be friends with Noctis. Picks up that moment in the Brotherhood episode where he says hi on the first day of high school. It’s short, but it’s finished and it’s great, there’s some Prompto angst, and it has a sequel with even more Prompto angst! That is also finished!

An MT!Prompto AU where Prompto is raised as an MT (which are cyborgs here rather than canon’s ... whole thing) and then runs away when he learns he’s going to be decommissioned. He’s found a year-ish later by the other Chocobros on their roadtrip and they, unaware he’s a runaway MT, take him along because he clearly needs help. There’s feels and bonding and brotherly feels and also angst and drama because MT!Prompto is terrified of many things. There’s also descriptions of the aftermath of torture, which I didn’t find too bad but as always check the tags and the rating against your own comfort level. It has a happy ending tho.

I love it so much. 59 chap, ongoing MT!Prompto AU where Cor finds this teenage MT unit and takes him home. There’s DadCor and Prompto learning how to People and the Chocobros getting attached and major angst at various stages because of how Prompto is treated (he has MT modifications and some people looking at you Clarus need to take a chill pill about it). It’s told entirely from Prompto’s POV which is FASCINATING and the author does a stellar job of picking out stuff that Prompto just- wouldn’t know about or understand because he’s been raised in a lab all his life.

Drama Intensifies

Part 13

Now here we are in the final scene. Reika and the Shadow King finally joined forces turning a big dragon and they flew up, against the Devildom's ground. Sure this is shocking, suddenly they hear a loud thump. A certain angel has been summoned.

Sandalphon : So... what did I miss?

Michael: That- [points into that big dragon]

Sandalphon: Ah, like the old times. It's been a while, shadow king.

Shadow King: ???? What? Who are you?!

Sandalphon: One of the Cherubim angels. So, are we gonna fight or what?

Reika: You're on!

Sandalphon: Before that- [creates a wall between himself and the others]

Michael: Are you sure you don't need help?

Sandalphon: Certainly not, Michael. The other Cherubim angels are on their way as well. So if there's more earthquake don't mind us^^

Michael: Okay! We'll count on you, Sandalphon!!

Sandalphon: I'll do my best!

And so the battle begins. The others have zero idea what's going on because of Sandalphon's wall hindering them from seeing everything despite flying. But one thing, this angel is definitely winning.

Haruka: ...What now?

Simeon: Unsure, let's just let him do his thing.

Solomon: Can I just-

Asmo: No! That's dangerous! Are you crazy?!

Tidus : Let's just...introduce ourselves. I'm Tidus and this is my wife, Yuna.

Yuna: Hello, everyone! It's very nice to meet you^^

Warrior of Light: As you know, my name is warrior of light^^ it's very nice to meet you kids.

Luke: I'm not a kid???

Zidane: Oh, how old are you?

Luke: .... 10? In human age... but 885 in angel age....

Zidane : pfft, you're actually a kid. I'm 16.

Luke: Stop calling me that!

Noctis: Ehem! Everyone, my name is Noctis. Heir to the Lucian Throne.

Diavolo: Oh a royal as well! I'm Diavolo, soon to be king of Devildom!

Solomon: Heh, already a king right here! King of Israel!

Ichigo: Ex. Ex-King of Israel.

Solomon: I'm still a king!

Ichigo: And I don't give a sht!

Tina: Uhm... Hi everyone, I'm Tina^^

Asmo: She's so pretty! Hi, Tina! I'm Asmo! We're gonna be good friends!

Tina: W-we are?

Asmo: If you want to ^^

And so on, basically, they're all bonding on Ichigo's dragon. Luckily Violet is fine with them being on top of her. Of course, the other oldies are with Merlin, on his dragon Kilgharrah. As they were talking, another earthquake happens.

Haruka: I'm gonna see what happened.

Lucifer: Haruka no! That's really dangerous!

Haruka: I'll be fine. Fenrir is with me and he'll protect me!

Lucifer: Fine, Satan, go with her.

Satan and Simeon: What?!

Satan: Why are you shocked as well?!

Simeon: You tell me!

Lucifer: ...Unfortunately, I only trust Satan at this point. Because my other brothers... are reckless.

Beel: I'm not re-

Lucifer: and in this case, a certain someone wouldn't let you-

Ichigo: Me? I'm fine with it. If you want Beel to go with her.

Lucifer: My decision is final.

Haruka: ...Fine.... Guess Satan will get on Fenrir with me.

Haha, of course, Simeon doesn't like any of this. Ichigo and the twins are cracking up because it's too funny. So are Mammon and Levi. So here they are, Haruka and Satan on Fenrir looking at the battle.

Satan: Wow, he did summon another one.

Haruka: Indeed... and it's quite an intense battle.

Fenrir: It is, Princess. I think we should come back soon.

Haruka: Why so?

Fenrir: THAT THING IS ABOUT TO ATTACK US!!

Satan: Sht! Get down, Fenrir! Now!!

Luckily Fenrir flies down all the way back to them. Sandalphon is shocked by the sudden shot. Did someone come there? Perhaps one of their strategies. Oh well. Back at the safe space, Haruka and Satan are both scared shtless. They almost died because of that shot!

Lucifer: What happened?!

Satan: That thing saw us... and shoot us...

Lucifer: I told you going there was a bad idea!

Haruka: I know...I know.... I think she notices my appearance and wants to fight me.

Solomon: Why would she fight you? Isn't her target Ichigo and I?

Haruka: Well....yeah... it's a long story actually. So technically Reika and I are sisters, she's my evil twin considering her acts.

Solomon: So?

Ichigo: Uhm... there are also twins who are getting along just well.

Haruka: Not the point. But I'll just battle this. Since she already hurt you guys and I can't have it!

Ichigo: Then I'll go too! Her target is me, not you! We'll do it!

Solomon: I'm surrounded by crazy chicks!

Ichigo: Yes you are^^ Now our final form?

Haruka: Final form^^

With that Ichigo and Haruka transform into their final form. Ichigo ends up in a pink-black outfit while Haruka turns into a white mage with a crystal wand.

Luke: Whoa! That's so cool!

Lucifer: Are you sure you don't want any help from us?

Ichigo: Certainly not. Sure I might summon you guys for battle but for now, I don't think so. You guys did well.

Beel: Don't die!

Ichigo: I won't or at least I'll try to.

Warrior of Light: For now, we'll give you backup powers. All of us!

With that Haruka's knights connect all their powers and give her more into that crystal wand. Of course, Merlin supports her granddaughter by giving her his powers.

Merlin: Here is mine, Please use them well.

Ichigo: Thanks a lot Grandpa, I won't let you down!

Haruka: Fenrir! Take us there!

Fenrir: Yes, your highness.

Fenrir finally took Ichigo and Haruka to the battle field. Of course Sandalphon and his cherubim angels are still battling the Azazel dragon a.k.a Reika and Shadow King's union. Once they arrive, Reika suddenly comes out with a psycho grin.

Reika: Oh, you're here. Finally, the battle I've been looking for, especially with you.

Ichigo: ...can you like specify....? Because there's like three of us. Are you battling the wolf? Me? Haruka? Who?

Fenrir: I'll go help Sandalphon, I don't think her target is me.

Haruka: Alright^^ Good luck, Fenrir!

As soon as Fenrir runs towards the Sandalphon's area. Reika obviously charges towards Ichigo first considering she's her target. Luckily Ichigo summons her flame sword to parry that sword. Of course, Reika being Reika forces the sword into her further.

Ichigo: Heh, you're so motivated to kill me, are you?

Reika: Yes. Because you deserve death.

Ichigo: Go on then, kill me. [parries the sword and luckily removes that sword]. I'm done. I'm done with all your bullsht, Reika. You go "oh I'm gonna kill Ichigo" but here we are. I'm not dead yet!

Reika: Oh, I will certainly kill you.

Ichigo: Do it. I don't have my sword now. Come on, coward

Reika getting riled up summons her sickle to finally kill her once and for all. She's about to throw it at Ichigo. Ichigo anticipates her death right now until someone blocks the attack.

Merlin: STAY AWAY FROM MY GRANDDAUGHTER!!

Reika: See! This is why I haven't killed you yet! Let go, you old man!

Ichigo: Grandpa... why can't you just let her kill me....?

Merlin: Because you're my granddaughter that's why. Now allow me^^ [throws the sickle far far away]

Ichigo: Grandpa... [sigh]

Meanwhile, in the safe space, everyone hears a loud thump. There are so many explosions they don't even know who's winning!

Beel: Lucifer, you have to let me get in there! Please!!

Lucifer: I can't let you do that! That's really dangerous!

Beel: But-

Satan: Dad, you gotta let me in. She might be dead anytime soon!

Diavolo: ....uhm....have you guys seen Merlin?

Barbatos: pfft-

Diavolo: What?

Barbatos: Rest assure everyone, we have hope^^

Diavolo: You're telling me...Merlin joins them?

Barbatos: He is, as a good grandpa that he is^^

Back at the battlefield, Merlin and Ichigo both joined forces to battle Reika. Haruka luckily has finally defeat Reika's clone. Of course, Reika summons her sickle again to battle them.

Merlin: [sigh] Time to summon my most powerful weapon.

Ichigo: What do you mean?

Merlin: The one and only... [Pulls out his magical sword] This, we'll use this to battle her.

Reika: Ha! Guess she did lose after all. Such a weakling.

Ichigo: Do you like...wanna check your cloning?

Reika: What do you mean?!

Ichigo: That thing is destroyed and so will you! Grandpa, use the sword!

Reika: Not so fast!

Just like that Reika ends up battling Merlin, she did use the illusion magic but Merlin knows well where she was. He's just giving her a chance until Merlin smirks and freezes her in place.

Reika: What?! How?! How is it possible?! How?!

Merlin: Because this sword will kill sinners and sinners only, and you're one of them. [slashes her]

With that Reika has finally disappeared with a scream and a big explosion, unfortunately, Sandalphon is still battling with Shadow King. Hearing the explosion, Shadow King checks what happened and he finds Reika exploding.

Shadow King: No!! Reika! HOW DARE YOU, LOWLY SORCERER!!

Merlin: Low? Really? Me? Low? I literally just killed your partner.

Shadow King: You will pay for this!

Sandalphon: [sigh] Everyone, please take cover. This world is gonna explode.

Ichigo: What?!

Fenrir: Come on, let's go! Both of you!

Ichigo and Merlin get on top of Fenrir but they can't seem to find Haruka.

Ichigo: Fenrir! Where's Haruka?!

Fenrir: Simeon caught her, let's go.

Once they return, Simeon is still healing Haruka with Michael's help. Fenrir also tells them the news that the world is gonna explode.

Lucifer: The world is gonna what?!

Simeon: Come again?!

Fenrir: That thing is so mad, he's gonna blow up the world and that wall is not going to hold it back.

Solomon: Human world! We'll go to the human world!

Lucifer: Hurry! Solomon! Open the portal!

Solomon: Might as- SHT! THAT THING IS SHOOTING AT US!

Lucifer: Hurry up!!

Ichigo: [sigh] Let me!

Both Solomon and Ichigo create a big portal to help them.

Ichigo: EVERYONE GET INTO THE PORTAL NOW!!

Noctis: What about us?!

Ichigo: YOU TOO! COME ON, GO!!

So with that, everyone hurriedly enters the portal, entering the human world. Luckily everyone is saved and none are injured. The angels have returned to heaven. Now this leaves the humans and demons. Unfortunately, Devildom is now gone, leaving it in a pool of lava.

Diavolo: I can't believe we went on battle just because of a petty reason....

Lucifer: Indeed... I'm sorry about Devildom.

Diavolo: It's okay.... at least we're now in the human realm. I'm sure Devildom will renincarnate.

Lucifer: I'm sure of that too.

Ichigo: Now what?

Beel: Human world food!!

Ichigo: Sure, I'm kinda hungry as well.

Belphie: Heh, never thought of the day of seeing Ichigo wearing short shorts.

Ichigo: It's 32 degrees Celcius! It's hot!

Asmo: You know what else is hot?

Ichigo: Hm?

Asmo: THAT MAN! [points at Solomon in his summer outfit]

Ichigo: ....ew

Haruka: ew indeed.

Solomon: What?!

Haruka: I prefer to stare at this anyway-

Simeon: Hm? Me?

Haruka: Yeah...^^

Belphie: Perhaps my twin brother?

Ichigo glances at Beel in his human world outfit. Alright, this is time for Ichigo to die....slowly...

Ichigo: ....uh....

Warrior of Light: Everyone! I'm sorry for interrupting your talk, but we have to return to our home soon^^

Lucifer: Our apologies. We do get distracted a lot.

Luke: So soon???

Noctis: Yeah! This kid is cool!

Luke: I'm not a kid!!

Noctis: can't you just focus on the nice stuff?!

Lightning: Unfortunately, Noctis, we need to go^^

Noctis: But we're in the human world though-

Warrior of light: We're in the wrong universe though. We should come back soon.

Noctis: Psh. You're no fun! Fine!

Warrior of Light: Well, it's good knowing you all^^ Farewell, Michael, Lucifer.

Michael: Farewell^^

Lucifer: Have a safe journey.

At the same time, Diavolo, Ichigo, and Merlin have to part as well. Sure he can stay with them but that'd mean exposing his identity.

Ichigo: Do you really have to go?

Merlin: I mean... I can stay but that'd mean exposing my identity to the whole world. So I have to go on a nomad. I'll visit though.

Ichigo: I see...

Diavolo: Do inform if you're visiting. I'm sure to make the best welcome party for you!

Barbatos: M'lord-

Merlin: I'm sure to inform you guys! But off I go now! See you all soon!

With that Merlin and the knights from Haruka's world left them with their own portal.

Tina: I'm gonna miss you all!! Especially you, bestie!!

Asmo: Samme!! Please visit though!! I'll do your hair! and your nails and-

Solomon: Shut up.

Asmo: and your makeup!!

Tina: Me too!! We can switch outfits too!!

Warrior of Light: Tina!

Tina: Y-Yes sir, my apologies!

Warrior of Light: Come on, we're late.

Once the portal closes, this leaves the devil dom citizen and the angels.

Diavolo: You know...Warrior of light reminds me of both of you.

Lucifer: Both of- nooo! Michael and I are totally different!

Michael: Yep! 100% difference.

Solomon: Are you sure?

Lucifer and Michael: SHUT UP!!

Diavolo: indeed, twins. Right, Rosaria?

Rosaria: Indeed. Twins.

Satan: ....does that mean Michael and Rosaria are my uncle and auntie?

Lucifer: ....

Michael: .....

Rosaria: ....

Solomon: Great, you broke all three of them!

Lucifer: I don't think I can sleep tonight...

Michael: Same...

Rosaria: What?!

Michael: Hahaha, just ignore him. He's probably unfocused today. Wanna go shopping?

Rosaria: Human world shopping?! Yes!

Now back to our couple. Of course, Ichigo is dying inside because Beel is teasing her right now while Simeon and Haruka are relaxing beneath the tree.

Belphie: I'll just go... yeah... [leave the area] wait I can't even sleep. It's too hoooot!!

Haruka: Hey Belphie, you can sleep beside me!

Belphie: Aaa thank you!! It's too hot and here we are! [sleeps beside Haruka]

Simeon: Well.... we need to find a place soon because we can't possibly sleep on this grass.

Ichigo: Well that's true, we need to get a place soon.

Belphie: Yea, sleeping on grass is uncomfortable!

Lucifer: I actually....have a place here^^

Simeon: You do?

Lucifer: I do! A mansion actually to fit all six of my brothers and some guests... sometimes Lord Diavolo.

Satan: I didn't know you were rich...

Lucifer: Why do you think Mammon always tries to get my wallet?

Satan: touche.

Lucifer: Luckily, it's not that far from here so we can get there soon.

Michael: Oh that's good! Because... I got banned from the celestial realm by Father for 3 months... Because of engaging some sins...

Simeon: Same.... unironically it's only the three of us.

Luke: ....That's really biased....

Haruka: ....Lucifer.... can I stay in a hotel instead?

Lucifer: ??? Why?

Haruka: Because I wanna stay with Simeon...?

Lucifer: With Simeon?

Haruka: Yes.

Lucifer: Well you guys are fiance, it's only fair.

Lucifer: Wait- Fiances?! Since when are you guys engaged?!

Simeon: ....months ago....?

Michael: Probably more.

Lucifer: Oh, I didn't no- Satan... are you okay?

Satan: ....y-yeah I'm fine. Haha.....

Ichigo: Here. [gives him tissue]

Satan: no, no, no I'm fine.

Ichigo: Bruh-

Beel: There there [pats Satan's shoulder]

And everyone, that's how Devildom got destroyed.... well reincarnated. So here they are in Lucifer's mansion while the angels and Haruka stay at the hotel.

Ichigo:....why are you staying at the hotel? And with him???

Haruka: Because....

Asmo: oh ho ho ho ho~ What are you gonna do there~

Simeon: Asmodeus!

Asmo: Who knows, perhaps Simeon is more sinful~

Michael: Asmodeus Morningstar!

Asmo: Alright, alright, okay!

Simeon: Get your head out of the gutter, Asmo.

Asmo: I'm the avatar of lust, it's impossible~

Asmo: But certainly someone is free to do sins in the mansion~ I can smell how turned you are because of Beel's outfit.

Beel: Asmo!

Ichigo: What- no!

Belphie: I mean... if you want to-

Ichigo: Belphegor!

Solomon: Watch everyone in the mansion hears screams from their room.

Lucifer: [smacks Solomon] Keep your dirty thoughts to yourself!

Michael: Lucifer, Rosaria and I are going to the hotel, okay?

Lucifer: Sure! See you around, twin brother!

Michael: ...Lucifer acknowledges me!

Lucifer: Shut up!

Rosaria: There there^^ We'll be off now.

Lucifer: Have a safe trip^^ You too, Simeon, Luke.

Simeon: Thank you, Lucifer. I wish the same for you. Come on, Haruka.

Haruka: Bye everyone!!!

Luke: Byeee!! We'll visit!!

Ichigo: :(( I'll miss you, Luke!!

Luke: I'll visit!! It won't be far!

Ichigo: [sighs in relief] Oh that's good. I can visit you!

Luke: You can!

Simeon: Luke... come on^^

Luke: o-o oh no [catches up to them]

Now this leaves Ichigo, Barbatos, Diavolo, and the seven brothers. They're now on their way to the human world mansion. Satan unfortunately is still sad because of what he sees. Belphie and Asmo comfort him of course but Satan prefers to be alone.

Asmo: That poor guy, he seems to be so heartbroken. I feel bad...

Belphie: It's for his own peace too. Despite his change.... Haruka is still with Simeon so he can't.

Solomon: Unless....

Asmo: Don't you dare! [smacks Solomon]

Solomon: I haven't finished!

Asmo: Are you implying her to be like you?! To have multiple lovers?!

Solomon: May- [gets smacked by Ichigo]

Ichigo: She's not like you. Stop trying to make people into a polyamorous person.

Beel: Certainly not. She's pretty much loyal to whoever her lover is. For now, I might do what Asmo said.

Asmo: Hm?

Ichigo: What?! Beel! Wtf?! [got carried away to their room, help]

Asmo: oooh! Oh my Lord! Don't forget the silencing spell!!

Solomon: Holy sht-

Belphie: What-

Lucifer: [facepalms]

Asmo: OML...he locked the door-

Solomon: ..... where are the angels when we need them....

Yeah.... that's pretty much it! We'll see you in our sequel "human world adventures". See you guys soon~^^

Fearsome White Mage Duo? Yes yes. Was a traveling companion to Aera and Ardyn both? Yes.

Maybe fell in love with Ardyn and stayed silent about it because he knew that Aera and Ardyn were engaged and didn’t want to get in the way? Yep.

Had a rough romantic relationship with Somnus in the meantime? Also yep.

Got stabbed and sealed away via Somnus after Lupine refused to marry him? Is currently frozen as a crystal somewhere in Tenebrae? Yep yep.

Gets woken up by a young Luna and Noctis while Noctis is in Tenebrae for healing? Also yep!

Beats the shit outta Imperial forces with a stick and by calling forth the minor Astrals that protect the woods to beat the shit outta the General and his army? Also yep.

Sees Ardyn show up later as Niflheims Chancellor in an attempt to broker a so called peace and punches Arydn in the face?

Also yep.

FFXV Remake Ideas Part 3: Party Members

Note: There are two type party members, Permanent and Guest.

Permanent party members will follow you throughout the story. You can level up, customize, and control them during battle. However they cannot be control for travel with the exception of Stella who will take the role of Protagonist at some point.

Guest, just like in old FFXV, will act on their own with heir level and equipment is already fixed. They also only available on certain missions. Player however still can make link-strike and use their bar abilities during battle.

PERMANENT PARTY MEMBERS

1) STELLA NOX FLEURET

*Stella’s original appearance

*Stella’s possible image in FFXV.

*Sarah. Main inspiration for Stella’s abilities and personality.

Age: 21, 31 (Post WoD -if alive-), 49 (True Ending Epilogue -if alive-).

Occupation: Princess of Tenebrae, Oracle (later in game).

Class: Combat White Mage

Combat Style: Rapier and White Magic. Very High MP.

Skill: To be determined

Possible Love Interest: Noctis Lucis Caelum

Available: During Imperial attack on Insomnia

Profile: Stella had an honest and polite attitude, though a bit naive and clumsy. She was assertive and true to her beliefs due to her upbringing. She was direct and did not shy away from her problems, as opposed to Noctis, who is more reserved.

Note: She will completely replace Luna as a heroine and hero’s main love interest. Most of her abilites and personality here was inspired from Sarah, guest character from (Terra Worlds). Not gonna lie I love her chemistry with Noctis, which in my opinion is more logical and sensible than Luna.

Unlike Luna, she only revealed as Oracle later in the game

And depends on Noctis’s interraction and how far she took her role as Oracle, she will either give up her life or fought to change her destiny

2) ARANEA HIGHWIND

Age: 30, 40 (Post WoD), 58 (True Ending Epilogue).

Occupation: Commodore of Nilfheim Empire (later defect)

Class: Dragoon

Combat Style: Spear and Air Combat. Strong physical attack

Skill: Trap Setting.

Possible Love Interest: Gladiolus Amicitia

Available: After Noctis and co. raid on Imperial fortress.

Profile: Known as one of the Nilfheim’s fearsome general, Aranea raised in a slum of Gralea by her father, a low-rank officer who perished during the Great War. Her father’s demised motivate her to join the Imperial Army. Initially known for her loyalty, Aranea starting to doubts about the empire's devotion to its daemonic research.

Note: Beatrix (FF9) and Celes (FF6) was main inspiration for her backstory. Her father is my own idea, and the main reason for her conlfict with Cor later. Biggs and Wedge is still her subordinate. And like in the game, she strongly opposed the daemonic research, the reason why her unit only consist of human.

Her skill is actually one of the planned skills for FFXV but later removed. It can trap a monster when applied using proper equipment. If successful, it will leave a drop item of that monster. The higher its get, the strongest the monster it can trap.

3) CIDNEY AURUM

Age: 26, 36 (Post WoD), 54 (True Ending Epilogue).

Occupation: Mechanics

Class: Machinist

Combat Style: Stun gun and Drone Combat. Control drone from afar.

Skill: Airship management

Possible Love Interest: Prompto Argentum

Available: During search for an airship

Profile: Having lost her parents at a young age, Cindy grew up under her grizzled grandfather Cid's tutelage. She inherited his avid love for automobiles and quickly proved herself to be a more-than-capable mechanic. Her stellar reputation draws customers from all across the continent. No matter how terrible their automobile troubles, drivers come in for a tune-up and leave with a smile.

Note: Cidney is just one of the wasted characters from FFXV. If you play attention, she contribute too much in the game but everyone only seen her as an eye-candy. This idea will put more on her character development like how she deal with her parents loss and Prompto’s treachery. Her combat style is quite similar to V (dmc5) in which you control combat drone from afar.

As for her skills, you can customized and upgrade your airship if you talk to her. The more skillful she become, the more better equipment can be applied on your ship

4) IRIS AMICITIA

Age: 15, 25 (Post WoD), 43 (True Ending Epilogue).

Occupation: High-School Students, later Crownsguard

Class: Monk

Combat Style: Martial Arts and certain white magic. High Evasion rate.

Skill: Clothing Design

Possible Love Interest: Noctis Lucis Caelum

Available: After Noctis and co. arrived at Cape Caem

Profile: Daughter of House Amicitia and Gladiolus' younger sister by eight years. Her family's closeness with the crown brought her into contact with Noctis at a young age, and the two became fast friends. She has harbored an innocent crush on Noctis since she was a little girl, but in her heart, Iris knows her fantasy can never become reality, or so she thought....

Note: Her feelings for Noct is similar as Tifa to Cloud. Unlike Cloud however Noct never seen her beyond “little sister” though that feelings may change later after his return from a long slumber. Her combat is similar to Tifa from VII Remake although due to her size, some of her skils required Gladio’s presence to be work perfectly.

She can create costume. The costume she create is only for looks. It didnt have any stats.

5) RAVUS NOX FLEURET

Age: 28, 38 (Post WoD -if alive-), 56 (True Ending Epilogue -if alive-).

Occupation: Prince of Tenebrae, High Commander of the Imperial Army

Class: Dark Knight

Combat Style: Saber and dark magic.

Skill: To be determined.

Possible Love Interest: To be determined

Available: After Noctis and co. arrived at Accordo.

Profile: Eldest son of House Fleuret, Blood of the Oracle, and older brother to Lady Lunafreya. His mother was burned alive in the fires that burned Tenebrae twelve years ago. Blaming the "cowardly" King Regis for her death, Ravus capitulated to his new imperial overlords and joined their ranks.
