seokmin's voice rings out across the apartment within seconds of you unlocking the front door. you furrow your brow, but do as he says: you know your apartment well enough to run through this with your eyes closed. with your eyes shut, you lock the door behind you and slowly step out of your shoes, gently pushing them aside. it's a tiny step up, but you keep one hand on the wall as you slowly make your way a little more forward.

a warm hand wraps around yours. "this way," he says, and you can hear the excitement in his voice. you let go of the wall, and let him guide you with slow steps.

all too easily, he guides you onto the floor, and you can smell buttered popcorn and other snacks on the table. your favorite takeout, too.

"you can open them now," he says after a moment. when you do, you realize that he's guided you into a makeshift blanket fort, complete with fairy lights. "ta-da," he giggles. "were you surprised?"

"what's all of this for?"

he gets back up, picking up a stack of DVDs. "you didn't get to see the movie you wanted to see before it left theaters..." he pauses. "so i put this together instead. it's not the same, but..." he holds up spirited away and howl's moving castle. "there's totoro, and ponyo, and... whichever one you want to start with." he smiles at you. "we can watch them all."

you nearly choke up at the thought, tears brimming at your eyes. there'd been a limited run recently, and you hadn't been able to find time to see it. something always seemed to come up. you had sighed and said 'maybe next time' when you opened up to seokmin about it, days too late to do anything about it. and now... this.

you think he's your soulmate. but with seokmin, you think that at least once a week.
