It's unexpectedly cold in coastal Canada right now (it's raining and snowing very hard and fast, and before the sun set it was also very sunny) and the floors are cold, so I find myself concerned for your warmth. Are you doing alright?
Aw, that's very sweet of you to ask, I'm fine! Here in Northern Finland it's slowly getting warmer, the temperatures seem to stay at around 0°C during the day so the snow has started to melt. Then it gets a little colder at night and those wet slushy roads freeze, and when it warms up again the next day there's a layer of water on top of the melting ice and as you can imagine it gets extremely slippery. I cycle everywhere throughout the year and even with winter tires it's kind of precarious. Other than that I'm enjoying the increasing amount of natural light and the birds have started to sing again.

This winter has been brutal for mushers in the lower 48 this season. Beargrease postponed with no new date announced. I am supposed to be volunteering at a sprint race near me in a week or so and there is almost no snow on the ground. Weather the week of Christmas was too hot to run dogs.

Thank you so much to all my patrons for supporting me through the month of February, and please welcome my newest patron (and a top patron no less!) Luka, aka, Musiquil!
This month's sketch was once again suggested by Patroclus! They had a great idea to incorporate Leap Day into this month's thank you image, with Little Nes and Irwin jumping together, and well, since we only get that chance once every four years, I thought I might as well go for it now! I'm really glad I did, because I love how the drawing turned out. xp
(Irwin's pose really reminds me of Goku for some reason.)

Martha Romme, Nivôse (Snovy), "de la neige lesflocans. de la saison son les papillons" (snow flakes. of the season its the butterflies). 1919.
Nivôse (French pronunciation: [nivoz]; also Nivose) was the fourth month in the French Republican Calendar. The month was named after the Latin word nivosus, which means snowy. Nivôse was the first month of the winter quarter (mois d'hiver). It started between 21 and 23 December.
