"came back wrong" this "came back wrong that" what about those who were NEVER RIGHT! What about those who were wrong but their death put rose-tinted glass over their memories! What about those who were always wrong but "don't disrespect the dead" changed perception of them so bad that when they came back and acted the same people shunned them! What about those where were all wrong and came back wrong only to be told "you were better. We thought you were better than this" WELL WHY WAS I BROUGHT BACK THEN? WHO DID YOU WANT, REALLY?

“And now you on your own.” The feeling of weightlessness, sinking into Miles' bones. Water flows through the gaps of his fingers and against his legs as he propels himself forward, nothing but sea foam against bare skin and waves bringing him up and down in steady motion. Up and down, up and down with the flow of the ocean. The next wave comes; he rises with it. Or, Uncle Aaron takes Miles to the beach on Monday.
wrote a little something about Miles and Aaron.

moonlight jellies
22:00.
Standing on the dock, the light breeze of the summer's end ruffled my few loose hairs. I'd traded my straw hat and red t-shirt for my bucket hat and bomber jacket, the only nice pieces of clothing I owned. I want to believe I dressed up for myself or for the occasion, but it wasn't true. I wanted to look good for him, even as I refused to admit it.
The candles floated along the dock like the yellowed leaves that would soon make their appearance. It was a romantic setting. I almost blushed. I took the opportunity to greet everyone, hesitating a little when I reached their group. The three were always together and tonight they were joined by his younger brother, too. Of course I spoke to him last, I had to feel prepared. But I was beginning to realize that I would never really be prepared to talk to him.
"Do you think they're poisonous?" he mused. He didn't take notice of the outfit I'd curated for him that night, but I admired his curiosity. He held onto a childlike wonder, which was probably one of the many reasons he got along with Vincent so well. It was charming. I wouldn't want to test out that theory, I thought. There was never much I wanted to say in these interactions and I didn't want to trip over my words, so I rarely offered more than a hmm in return. Sam didn't seem bothered by this, which made me think we could make a good team. "Guess I shouldn't push Sebastian in the water, then," he laughed.
Soon it was time to light and release the boat. I quietly walked to the other end of the dock for a better view. I liked Sam, but I liked to experience these things alone, too. We all waited in anticipation as the Mayor released the lighted boat. For a moment nothing happened, and then, the first jellyfish floated close to me, so close that it almost touched my feet. I felt the light illuminating my face, and from across the dock I could see him facing me. Looking. Staring? I couldn't make eye contact, but it felt nice to be observed by him. When the other jellies surrounded the dock, I took a peek in his direction only to find him still eying me. Then, a green hue illuminated the spot a little to my left -- a rare green jellyfish. To say it was shocking was an understatement. The gentle contrast of colours had me mesmerised. I could see my reflection in it, and I looked awestruck. It seemed that no one else saw this rare jelly, which made me feel simultaneously special and sad.
The others began to set off for their homes after the last jellyfish had passed far beyond the dock. I stayed behind and stared at the ocean that had turned black with the lack of light. I looked at the reflection of the moon inside it, the contrast between its light and the darkness of the waves. There were few moments like this one in which I experienced peace. But the peace quickly faded when I felt a hand against my shoulder.
"Looks like the green one liked you!" he giggled, somewhat startling me. I chuckled in agreement. I was surprised that someone else had caught sight of that jellyfish, but it made me happy to know that he had.
"It's late. You going home, right?" I nodded at his question. I turned to leave in his direction only to find that he'd already run off to catch up with Abigail and Sebastian. Why did I think he planned to walk with me? But, was I wrong? Why else would he come and talk to me?
I guess we both behaved awkwardly at times.

my badly put together two cents on the next episode preview cause I’m seeing a lot of people confused by Jim’s behavior
Jim has a BIG inferiority complex and trouble accepting his own sexuality and it is shown over and over through the previous episodes. His sister says love between two men isn’t real / doesn’t work, and back when he was young and bold and brave he thought he could prove her wrong‬. This was the one thing he was sure about! Young Jim not yet Uncle Jim maybe was ready to fight the world! He was going to show them love between men was real! This was the stone in which Jim built so much on. Of course it was real and it worked because his love was real and WOULD work. There was no space for doubt with all the love and surety he felt. Then he finds out Beam is in a relationship with a woman, and that issue doesn’t get resolved until years later. And it’s? He says so himself to Wen “well I did prove her”. And he spent so long with the internalized notion that the reason his relationship failed, this one thing he never ever doubted, was because he was a man, and the then love of his life found exactly what his sister and the rest of the world was always telling him: real love in a heterossexual relationship. Not going to go through all his other problems about relationships and cheating but Aof was a GENIUS when he made “the other person” in this messy triangle a woman. It stacks up on every single prejudiced brick Jim had to put up with all his life and cements it neatly. Jim’s walls are not only high but they are incredibly fucking sturdy. And he didn’t build it alone he definitely had help but damn. There was a lot of work put on to it.
I’m not saying people are supposed to like this scene or think it’s acceptable behavior considering Jim is gay himself but it is incredibly on point and in character of what Aof has shown of Jim so far. The man knows what he is doing and not once he made it seem like his characters were black and white with foolproof morals or logic.
That’s just my humble opinion though :) I think Jim (and everyone else) is a very well rounded, multidimensional character with a complex line of thought. Maybe I don’t agree with everything they do but I sure as hell can see where they’re coming from

Hi! Took a week off and I realized some things about myself and I'd like to go by Liam sometimes. I've realized I'm genderfluid, and on some days I'd like to be Liam, not Layla. Thanks, I love you, part 6 of Moonlight will be up tomorrow :]
Ps anyone have any at home binding tips? I could really use them ♡

Could you imagine writing more for Alan and Gaipa? Maybe Alan having trust issues, the fear of being abandoned, jealousy and him and Gaipa navigating through that?
Gaipa, my beloved 🥹 Enjoy!
“Don’t forget I’m going to be home late tonight,” Gaipa said, still snuggled up in their warm bed as Alan busied himself getting dressed for work. “I’m taking Uncle Jim down to look at that building I’m thinking about buying. I want to know if he can use the bottom floor as a new storefront for Moonlight Chicken.”
Alan froze halfway through tying his tie. Damn it. He had forgotten. And although he and Jim had learned to coexist in peace, the thought of Gaipa spending any amount of time alone with him still rankled. He knew, logically, that Jim hadn’t actually stolen Wen from him, but for a while there, he had thought he had. It was a tough feeling to shake.
Alan tried to keep his face impassive, but he and Gaipa had been dating for months now and he never had been a tough man to read.
“Not this again,” Gaipa groaned.
“I’m sorry!” Alan cried, abandoning his efforts to tie his tie entirely. “I can’t help it!”
“You dated Wen for six years,” Gaipa reminded him. Unlike Alan, he seemed to find the whole situation funny. He sat up in bed, letting the sheet fall from his bare chest, and he grinned at Alan, fond. “You don’t see me getting jealous about that.”
“Yeah, well, Wen’s an asshole. Jim is…” An absolute perfect specimen of a man: polite, charitable, hot. Alan sat down on the foot of the bed so that he could pout in peace.
“Doesn’t change the fact that I never even slept with the guy.”
“You would have, though,” Alan pointed out. “I know you would have!”
“Of course I would have. Have you seen him?” Gaipa laughed, but then, as if to soften the blow, climbed out from underneath the covers—completely naked—and crawled into Alan’s lap. Alan’s eyes scoured his body hungrily and although he was annoyed, he knew it wasn’t Gaipa’s fault. He wrapped his arms around him.
“You’re not helping,” Alan said.
“Look, babe, I know Wen hurt you, but I am not him. Uncle Jim is family—nothing more. You keep me more than satisfied, I promise.” As if to prove his point, he bit Alan’s ear lightly, making him shiver. “Do you believe me?”
Alan looked into Gaipa’s dark brown eyes—eyes that had only ever looked at him with love—and of course he believed him because in the six years Alan had spent with Wen, he had never felt even a fraction of the happiness Gaipa had given him in only a few months together. Wen was a firework, but Gaipa was a fire burning bright on a cold winter’s day. Both produced heat, but only one could keep him warm. “I believe you.”
“Good,” Gaipa said with a nod. “And, hey, I can call you ‘Uncle’ in bed if you think that would help.”
“Gaipa,” Alan whined, attempting to push him back down onto the bed, but Gaipa wouldn’t let himself be pushed.
“No?” he teased. “Well, what about a little chicken market roleplay then? So sexy.”
Alan forcibly picked Gaipa up and tossed him onto the mattress where he collapsed into a fit of giggles. Alan planned to just leave him there—it was what he deserved—but then Gaipa grabbed ahold of his lapels and pulled him down to his lips instead.
Alan was late for work that day. He didn’t mind a bit.

can i ask about housewife!jason? 👀
Yes!!!!! Ahhh Love housewife!Jason!!!! So this is an au I've been throwing around with @galkyrie helping me brainstorm (/listening to me ramble/reminding me there's plot on) for like. Over a year now? (Looking at dms 05/27/22).
Basic Idea started as "I want,,, Jaytim going undercover as a married couple and Jason's undercover girl" and ofc devolved from there. Basic premise is casefic! With gratuitous sex revolving around Jason in skirts (my usual transmasc speedran-transition-via-the-pit jason who has masc tits not boobs and a cunt) ! Featuring!
suburban domesticity
Tim as the devoted husband who works an office job in the city proper
Kon as the "best friend sleeping with friend's wife"
(it's jaytimkon ofc y'all know me)
Jason as the housewife who hosts bookclubs and garden parties and is basically having the time of his LIFE gossiping with all these housewives and playing house for a relaxing couple months
Lots and lots of Jason getting railed and eaten out on the dining room table and cucking his husband in their bed with his best friend
Linen button-ups and Kon's Hawaii wardrobe at neighborhood bbqs
And also a serial killer focused on adulterers ig
