“I’m not really sure I’m the right girl for this.” Nervous smiles, tugging at the ends of her sweater, a blonde ponytail bouncing with every turn of her head, scanning the room. “‘M not a big punk rock kinda girl.”
“Good thing it’s metal then, right?” Eddie grinned, knee bouncing on the wooden stool. “C’mon, they’re not gonna mosh you or some shit. Just here to listen to music.” If only he’d known then, that’s not why Chrissy was so nervous, why she pulled and twisted the sleeves of her sweater furiously, chin ducked to her chest the entire night.
“Hey, this is really good.” You giggled, the crystal trill of your giddy tone pulling Eddie out of his daze. There was no nervous blonde in front of him- no, there was an angel sitting across from him, giving him a bright smile that he was sure was melting him to his very core.
“Is it?” Eddie’s voice cracked, wobblier than he would have liked. His knee still bounced on the wooden stool, trying to down his beer so he’d loosen up, enough to not shake so much but not too much- he couldn’t risk getting too drunk.
“Yeah.” You nodded, tipping the rim of the martini glass to your lips, your lipstick stain printed on the rim. Eddie had never been so envious of a glass.
“Really good. Excellent choice.” You praised, leaving Eddie blushing under your sweet words. “What’s this called again?”
“Uh, a casio- no cosmo.” Eddie stuttered, fingers drumming on the sticky wood of the table top. “I’ll be honest, I just asked Katrina to make somethin’ good for you.”
“Well, my compliments to Katrina.” You giggled, sliding the glass towards Eddie. “You want a taste?”
His heart jumped, eyes focused on the lipstick stain on the rim. The thought of putting his lips where yours were, it was too much for him, sending his body into overdrive. “S-Sure,” Eddie swallowed, picking the glass up. His lips barely brushing where your lipstick was, casual enough that he hoped you wouldn’t see the tremble in his hands.
The vodka burned down his throat, singed his nose, swirling with the sweetness of the mixer. “Mm,” Eddie swallowed around the lump in his throat. “Shit, that is good.”
You grinned, hands brushing when you took your drink back, both of your chins ducking with nervous excitement. There was a pause, a dreaded fill of silent tension falling between the two of you.
Say something, Munson. Fucking say something, anything. But he couldn’t, he could barely form a thought. His mind cruelly wandered back to her, the night playing on a humiliating loop in the back of his head.
“So,” You saved him, head lolling sweetly in your hand, a little drunk, a little silly. “You know if you wanted to take me out, you didn’t have to switch shifts with Brenda.”
Eddie’s heart stopped, halted with thundering fear, body stilling. “W-What?” Eddie managed to squeeze the word through his tightening throat.
Your lips tightened in a smile, fingertips tracing over the wood table. “Brenda told me about how you took her shift.” You admitted. “That you probably did it so you could ask me out.”
Eddie’s cheeks flamed, the familiar ringing crescendoing in the back of his mind. Chrissy’s face morphing into yours, her look of horror and disgust taking over your own features. “I would never be with you, you’re a fucking freak! Do you hear me? Leave me alone! You’re a freak!”
“Sorry, I-I didn’t mean to- I just meant,” Nerves blossomed in your own veins, hands wringing under the table. “I-I meant, you didn’t have to take her shift. I woulda-” Eddie blinked, eyes still wide, rounded like he’d been caught. “I would have gone out with you anyways.”
Eddie’s body halted again, the raging screams of Chrissy, the deafening ringing in his ears, all stilled at your soft tone. “Y-You would’ve?” Eddie whispered.
“Well, yeah.” You admitted, eyes cutting sweetly up to him. “I mean, yeah, I would have. You’re always sweet, and nice, and funny, and- yeah, I would’ve gone out with you. I’m having a really good time.”
Eddie thought he might float away. His heart, his head filled with such a light, airy feeling that he’d gone positively boneless. “I-I’m having a good time too.” He ducked his head down, hoping you couldn’t see the rushing flush of red on his cheeks.
“How did you-” Eddie stopped himself, taking a breath so his mind could still. He couldn’t ramble, his ramblings got him in trouble, showed too much. “Did Brenda tell you?” Eddie’s knee bounced faster, trying to stop his hands from twirling his rings around, nervous fidgeting.
You smiled softly. “Yeah,” You nodded softly. “I mean, I brought up that we were going… out tonight. And she just kinda mentioned it.” You paused, looking down at your drink, twirling the black straw around the glass. An unsure pause filled the two of you, awkwardly floating around you in still uncertainty.
“She, uh- Brenda, she said she used to date your uncle?” You tried again, stomach flipping, filling with dread. This was a mistake, you’d hoped that cynical voice nagging in the back of your head would have been wrong.
“Yeah,” Eddie nodded, calculated breaths, deep in, deep out, trying to calm his jolted nerves. The long drink you took didn’t help, looking around at the other bar patrons awkwardly. Fuck, fuck, fuck! Munson, get your head out of your fuckin’ ass, and do this right! Planned this shit for weeks, and now you’re gonna fuck it all up.
“They dated for a while.” Eddie added, picking up his own beer. His hands shook when he lifted the bottle to his lips. “I, uh, I had just moved in with my uncle when they started dating.”
“Are they still dating?” You pressed, hoping to keep the conversation going.
“No,” Eddie shook his head lightly. “No, they broke up like years ago, but uh, she’s always been nice to me. Got me this job, so…” Eddie threw his hands out slightly, knee bouncing rapidly.
Your eyes cut away, back down to your drink, twiddling with the straw awkwardly. Eddie’s ribs were constricting in the tightness of his own chest, sure the bones were about to tear through flesh. His hands clammy, fingers swelling around the silver rings on his fingers.
“She, uh- Brenda, she was kinda like a second mom to me, after my mom,” Eddie’s throat tightened, eyes on the ring of condensation left behind by his beer. “After she passed.”
“Oh,” Your face fell, eyes rounding sympathetically- a look he’d grown so used to, but seeing it on your features didn’t leave quite the same acidic disdain in his mouth. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t know that.” Your teeth tugged on your lip.
“Yeah, it’s not- it’s fine. I mean, it was a while ago.” Eddie’s knee shook, sure he was rattling off the barstool’s laddering step. “Anyways, I went to live with my Uncle for a while a-and he was with Brenda. She’s always looking out for me.” Always, even when she shouldn’t, Eddie’s mind said what he didn’t, ringing loud in his thoughts.
“That’s good. That you have her.” You smiled softly, Eddie’s heart soared. “She’s really nice. I like working with her a lot.”
“Yeah, me too.” Eddie nodded, the tightness in his chest easing, even at the pause. “What about you?”
Your eyes met his with an unsettling suddency, wide and urgent. Eddie’s brow raised before he could still it. “W-What?” Your stuttering squeak piqued his interests, sending him soaring into bouts of curiosity.
“I mean, what about your family? Back home?” Eddie’s tone was level, an uneasy kind of calmness that left you consumed with vulnerability.
“O-Oh,” Your hands twisted under the table, picking the black polish that smudged over your cuticles. “It’s not much, honestly.”
Eddie nodded slowly, eyes scanning your features. The way you swallowed anxiously, chewing the inside of your lip. “Fucked up home life?” Eddie grinned playfully. Your eyes lifted back to him. “Sorry, that was- I’m just saying, I get it. You don’t have to tell me, but if you ever wanted someone to talk to, it doesn’t get more dysfunctionally fucked than the Munson’s.”
“No, it’s not that.” You shook your head gently. “No, I’m- I was really close with my family. I just, I don’t get to see them much now anymore.”
Eddie swallowed his words, the urge to jump and demand to know more, to scare you with his prying. He couldn’t do that, not again. Girls didn’t like that, he’d learned that.
Instead he stayed silent, watching you fidget around. “I-I moved when I was eighteen.” Your eyes stayed on the table. “I, uh, I moved with my… They didn’t want me to leave. They wanted me to stay and go to college. My dad really wanted me too, and-and when I didn’t… We just kinda lost contact?” The words tumbled out of you, lungs squeezing them out, wringing them from your chest like a soapy rag.
“I used to talk to my mom a lot, but… I don’t know. It got kinda weird, ya know?” Your own knee bounced now, eyes rounding to his, in a face that was all too familiar.
“My mom, she was just really hard on me. I-I don’t think she meant to be, but…” Visions of Chrissy’s same troubled face meshed with yours, her words ringing like sirens in his mind.
“Yeah, no, I get that.” Eddie swallowed, blinking hard to get her face off of yours. Insulting, Munson, comparing her to you.
“So, you don’t talk to them much anymore?” Eddie pressed.
Your head shook. “No, I-I mean I’m sure they would if I would call.” Your heart drummed in your ears. “T-They don’t know how to reach me, so… I’d have to call them, a-and it’s just a mess.”
Eddie’s spine tingled, icy pricklings of curiosity. Your parents didn’t know? Didn’t know you moved all alone? You said you were close, had pictures of them in your bedroom, but why? What weren’t you telling him?
Eddie didn’t pry, simply nodding, grabbing his beer. “No, I get that.” He nodded. “I get the messy thing.” You lifted your own drink, gulping down the rest of it, wincing at the burn of vodka down your throat.
Silence fell over the two of you again, a lingering awkwardness in the air that had Eddie’s stomach turning.
Tumblr media
Whoever called alcohol liquid courage, might’ve been a genius; Eddie had decided that. Three beers in, his hand was on your waist, head banging and rocking with you in the middle of the crowd. Surprisingly full and packed tonight, Eddie was thankful, it broke up some of the uncomfortableness. It only took your two more drinks to fully loosen up, teetering on tipsy and breaking open a new side of you to Eddie that he was enthralled with.
Giggly and sweet and chatty and so touchy. You’d grabbed his hand, pulled him into the crowd, shoulders brushing and wiggling through the others to get near the front.
“They’re really good!” You screamed over the roar of the music, turning towards Eddie.
“Yeah?” Eddie yelled back, his hand still ghosting over your waist, the band of your jeans. “You like it?”
“Yeah!” You giggled, lips spreading in a wide smile. “I-I’m having a really good time!”
Eddie’s heart skipped, maybe stopped all together. He was thankful for the dim lighting, that his blush was hidden by it. “Me too.” Eddie’s voice cracked. “I-I’m having a really good time, too.”
You smiled, arms thrown around his neck in a sloppy, silly way that had his knees tightening, weakened under your smile. Your eyes flickering down to his lips, teeth catching and rolling your own. Eddie was sure you could feel his heart thundering through his veins, his own hands gripping your waist rigidly.
You were teasing him, playful, but agonizing. Head swaying in then back, closer and closer to him. Noses nearly touching, an almost brush that had Eddie’s blood rushing to his cock. Tongue running over his own lips, his head inched closer to yours, your lips barely brushing his.
“Eddie?” His body ran still, rigid at the voice.
“Eddie Munson?” Your lips fell in a pout, arms slacking around Eddie, slipping off his frame. Brows furrowed at the blonde in front of you, though she wasn’t interested in looking at you, eyes in a nearly challenging glare at Eddie.
“H-Hey, Tammy.” Eddie’s hands slid down your waist, shoulder moving in front of you. “What are you doing here?”
Tammy’s lips twitched in a fake smile that came off more like a snarl. “Jason knows the drummer. Plus, it’s half on buckets during the show.” Her eyes scowled over his frame. “I haven’t seen you in a while.”
Eddie’s heart stopped, a clammy chill blanketing his skin. “Yeah, hey, it was good to see yo-”
“-I haven’t seen you since you showed up at Chrissy’s place.” Tammy sneered.
You blinked, brows furrowed, trying to lean in to hear the conversation. Eddie’s body tilted, trying to shield you out of the way.
“Yeah,” Eddie nodded, taking a slow inhale to calm his racing mind, spiraling at the memory of her, Tammy’s words, you behind him. The trilling ring made its way back into his ears, vision spotting with a black vinaigrette.
“So how is Chrissy?” Tammy’s eyes slanted in a predatory challenging glare.
Eddie swallowed, fists balling beside him. “I don’t know, Tammy.” He sneered through his own gritted teeth. “She dumped me. I’m sure you know that-”
“-Yeah, I heard that.” Tammy scoffed. “But what I think is so strange, is right after she packs up and leaves? To go stay with her aunt?”
“I’m sure her parents made her go to college up there. That’s all they wanted for her anyways.” Eddie snapped, much more territorial than he meant it to. Your heart dropped at his tone, the anger in his eyes, jaw clenched. Taking a step back, you moved back into the crowd, chest tightening, desperate for air.
Eddie’s eyes cut to you, stepping towards you. Tammy sidestepped in his way, blocking him. “Cut the bullshit, Munson. I know you did something to her.”
“What?” Eddie snapped. “Can you leave me-”
“-No. She moves and doesn’t tell anyone? You expect me to believe that? Buy that bullshit?”
“Maybe she didn’t like you, Tammy.” Eddie barked, eyes blown with a crazed anger that had her flinching. “Maybe you two weren’t as fucking close as you thought? Huh?” Eddie took a step towards her.
“And before you start accusin’ me of shit, why don’t you fuckin’ think about what you’re saying. You think her parents wouldn’t have called the police, led a fucking man hunt if she disappeared or something? Huh?” Eddie spat, heat creeping in a flush up his neck. His eyes cut to you, scampering towards the table, fumbling with your coat.
Eddie’s heart lurched, turning back to Tammy. Ears ringing, seeing red- red all over her, splotchy on his vision. Her eyes wide in fear she tried to hide, rigid and cowering in the crowd over his looming figure. “Thought you were supposed to be smart. Valedictorian or whatever.” Eddie sneered in a scoff, stomping away from her.
He tore through the crowds, uncaring of the huffs of anger or annoyance from the others. Tunnel visioned in a determined glare, set on you. You, spine stiff, stuttering steps towards the exit.
Ruined. Ruined, it’s fucking ruined. Fucking Tammy, ruined everything. Everything you worked for, Munson. It’s over. Done. Again.
“Hey,” Eddie took a bounding step towards you, heart hammering in his chest. Your shoulders tensed, not turning back. “Hey, where’re you going?” He tried to keep his voice light, void of the frantic tightness he was feeling in his chest. His hand touched your shoulder, pulling away when you flinched away.
Your eyes were blown, meeting his with a look of positive terror. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.
“Sorry about that. She- We went to high school, and-and she was friends with my ex, a-and- Are you ok?” Eddie’s brows creased, cutting down to your trembling hands, shaking even in the tight knuckled grip around your jacket.
“I-I I need to go outside.” You stammered, chest constricting your airways. “I just, I-I need some air.”
“Ok. Let me grab my jacket and-”
“-That’s alright.” You said quickly. “I just- I-I’m sorry.” Your chin ducked to your chest, you tore through the crowded tables, the gathering at the bar towards the exit.
“Shit,” Eddie hissed, turning back to the high top you’d been sitting at, his leather jacket still on the back of the chair. He dashed towards the table, running through the bar, uncaring of the bouncer’s booming warnings, pushing out the doors.
The parking lot was empty, no sight of you on the wall, next to the other smokers, or by his van. Eddie’s hands went to his hair, fists balling around the hair there. “Shit, shit, shit.” She’s gone. You scared another one away, Munson. No, I-I can’t. It can’t end like this. I won’t let it. I could go to her house, I-I’ll go to her house- And do what? Break in. How’d that work the last time, you fucking idiot-
“Hey, man,” A bartender wearing the Hideout’s black tee called, smoke spilling out of his mouth with the words. “You lookin’ for a girl? She ran out here cryin.”
Eddie’s heart leapt, nodding furiously. “Yeah, yeah, did you see her? Where’d she go?”
The man nodded around the corner. “I asked her if she was alright, but… She seemed real upset. Didn’t want to make it worse.” His eyes rolled over Eddie’s figure. “You might wanna go check on her.”
“I will. Thank you. Thank you.” Eddie’s legs felt like jelly, numb with every bounding step on the graveled pavement. He rounded the corner of the building, hearing you before he could see you.
A shaky exhale, ghosting with the hint of a cry. He found you, back against the brick, sitting on the grass, head tilting up high, shoulders fighting the shake of a cry with every long inhale and deep exhale you took.
Eddie stilled. He had to be careful, only one chance, one shot to fix this.
“Hey,” Eddie said, wincing at how you jumped, eyes shooting open. “Hey, no, I-I didn’t mean to scare you. I-I was just coming to check on you.”
Your eyes shone, lip wobbling with a cry. “I-I’m sorry.” You croaked, chest rising and falling rapidly.
Eddie paused. Sorry? He had expected you to scream, to try and run, call him a freak like Chrissy had. Anything but sorry.
“I-I’m sorry-y. I-I didn’t-” You gasped for a strangled breath. “I-I’m fine-”
“-Hey,” Eddie crouched towards you, knees sinking in the cool grass beside you. “Are you ok? What’s going on?”
Tears leaked down the corner of your eyes when you squeezed them shut, head shaking. “I-I’m sorry. I-I’m so s-sorry.” You sniffled, a broken, breathy cry tearing from your chest.
“You don’t need to be sorry. Hey, c’mon, you-you gotta relax ok. Breathe? Can you- Can you breathe?” Eddie’s hand found your shoulder gently, rubbing the soft material of your shirt. “Just try to relax. Deep breaths, in. Innnn… Yeah, then outttt.”
You followed his breaths, shoulders still shuddering under his touch even as your cries calmed, aftershocks of emotion he wasn’t sure where it came from.
Eddie waited, watched you carefully until your eyes met his, sheepish and a little embarrassed, glassy from tears and the liquor you’d had. “You alright?” Eddie asked carefully, cringing at the way your shoulders tensed. “I’m sorry, I-I didn’t mean for her to upset you.”
You continued to breathe, eyes closing in controlled, timed breaths. Eddie’s own heart picked up. “I-I don’t know what you heard, b-but she’s full of shit, ya know? She’s always been just… She’s never liked me. Even in high school, she used to pick on me and shit. I-I didn’t- I don’t know why she did that tonight. Probably saw me with you, a-and wanted to start shit or-or whatever.” Eddie rambled anxiously.
Your eyes met his, still rounded but less wide, lacking as much terror as they did before. “That’s why you yelled?” You asked. “That’s why you were upset?”
“Yeah, I-I mean, yeah.” Eddie watched you carefully, studying every tiny quip in your features. “I-I shouldn’t have. I-I don’t normally get pissed like that, but… I don’t know. I just felt like I was back in high school, ya know?” Eddie sat next to you, his own head leaning against the brick.
“Felt like they were just picking on the freak again because they can. Thought we’d leave that shit in highschool but… I don’t know. They never do.” Eddie sighed slowly, shoulders slumping next to yours.
“I don’t… I don’t usually lose my shit like that. I try not to even give them a reaction, it’s just… My ex, she-she was friends with them. Popular and all that, and when we started dating, they’d just- they were so mean. They’d say stuff and-and she’d get embarrassed of-of me.” Eddie turned towards you, eyes soft, shining with a vulnerability that made your heart ache.
“She never wanted people to know. Never wanted to be seen with me because they’d say mean shit like that. And I’d let them, I’d try to ignore it for her, but she… She couldn’t ignore it.” Eddie muttered. “She gave in. Broke up with me and started telling them all this crazy shit. Trying to cover up that… I don’t know- that we were actually together? That she wanted to date me. Easier to blame the freak than tell people we were together, I guess.”
Your eyes met his, hesitantly. “I-I’m sorry.” You whispered, voice cracking. “That’s… That’s really mean.”
Eddie shrugged. “Yeah, well, I’m used to it.” He muttered, looking down at the small patch of grass between the two of you. “Well, I guess I’m not as used to it as I thought I was.” Eddie muttered, eyes lifting to yours sheepishly. “I’m sorry. I-I didn’t mean to cause a scene. To scare you. I-I would never-”
“- No, I-I know.” You shook your head lightly. “I’m just… I get weird.” Your own chin ducked towards the ground. “I get weird with fighting and stuff.”
Eddie stilled, watching you twist a blade of grass between your hands. “Guess we have the ex thing in common, too.” You muttered. “My ex-boyfriend… He’d get really mean sometimes. Just really angry.”
I’ll kill him. Eddie swallowed down the threat- no, the promise. Swallowing back his fierce anger.
“He-He never, like, hit me or anything, you know? It was weird, because there wasn’t any physical evidence or anything. I couldn’t go to the police for him yelling at me, but it just- it still really hurt.” Your voice cracked, lip wobbling at the memories. “That’s why I don’t talk to my parents. I moved with him, ignored them because they told me not to, and then… They were right, I guess. Just can’t really bring myself to call them and tell them that. Tuck my tail between my legs and go back. So I came here.”
“I’m sorry.” Eddie whispered. Your eyes met his. “No, I-I’m sorry, that’s- I’m sorry.” Eddie said sincerely, his hand brushing over yours.
“It’s okay-”
“-It’s not, and… And I’m really sorry.” Eddie nodded gently. “I didn’t mean to yell. I shouldn’t have let her get to me-”
“-No, Eddie, i-it’s fine, really-”
“-I didn’t mean to ruin our date. End the night like this.” Eddie ran a hand down his face. “This is not- I’m sorry, I didn’t know it would end just fucked like this.”
You paused for a moment, head still spinning with the liquor, with emotion, dizzily. You’d blame it on that, credit that dizziness for your courage. “It doesn’t have to end like this.” You whispered.
Eddie stilled, eyes cutting to you carefully. You still toyed with the grass, eyes lifting sweetly to him. “We… We could go back to my place? I-I think I still have a movie I haven’t returned.”
Eddie’s wheels squealed when they pulled out of the Hideout’s parking lot, desperately back to your apartment.
Tumblr media
Eddie was sure he was dreaming. Sitting on your couch, your apartment smelled just like he remembered, even better when you lit the candle on your coffee table, making a mental note of the name. He’d go buy it in bulk tomorrow, fill his apartment with them burning in every room just so he could feel closer to you.
You’d moved into his lap halfway through the movie, inching closer with every passing frame of Julia Roberts and Patrick Bergine until you straddled him. Eddie burned under your gaze, your hands back on his shoulders, sliding slowly towards his neck.
“Hi,” You whispered, tilting your head gently to the side, lip rolling beneath your teeth.
“Hi,” Eddie croaked, swallowing the thick lump in his throat.
“Is it ok if I do this?” You whispered, the glow of the TV illuminating your mussed hair. Eddie thought it looked like a halo, angelic above him.
“Yeah,” Eddie nodded dumbly. C’mon, get your shit together. You’ve almost got it, Munson.
His hands slid over your hips, setting on the small of your waist, where the band of your jeans hugged, squeezing the flesh gently, feeling you beneath his hands. You were really here, he was really here, with you. Living proof, right between his fingertips that this was no dream.
You leaned forward, a hand brushing back his curly bangs. “What’s this?” You muttered, fingertip ghosting over the jagged scar across his forehead.
“Bike wreck of seventy-six.” Eddie answered cooly, voice raspy and low in the dim light of your apartment. “Thought I could pop a wheelie on concrete. Didn’t go well.”
“Hm,” You sighed, lips twitching in a small grin. “You were a little dare devil, hm?”
“Yeah,” Eddie nodded. His hands slid down your waist, hoping you couldn’t feel his heart hammering. “Still can be, sometimes.” His lashes batted up at you, squeezing the fatty flesh of your ass.
You squealed, Eddie’s heart leapt- he’d made the right move. Your eyes caught his, pinning him with your gaze, a delicacy of anticipation fell between the two of you. Who would break it? Make the first move?
Eddie’s fingers pressed into your jeans, a hand sliding up your back, pressing to the middle of your spine, bowing you forward toward him. Your hand on his neck, fingers splaying out over his jaw, lips connecting in a sweet kiss. Eddie felt like he was melting, a warm, gooey puddle underneath you.
Hands grabbing at the other, fevered and desperate, your hips rocking with his, brushing over his tenting zipper. Eddie could taste the wine on your lips, the glass of reisling you’d poured for the two of you before you’d put in the movie. “Since I killed the buzz before,” You’d shrugged at him sheepishly. He assured you, you hadn’t, still he was thankful for it, especially now. Now that he was loosened, far less critical of his every move.
Fumbling hands that pulled at his t-shirt, your jeans, Eddie flipping you over on the couch, hovering over you on the faded floral pattern of the couch. “You- We don’t have to, if you don’t want to.” Eddie whispered, his hands still toying with the button of your jeans. “I don’t want you to think I-I, like, only wanted this. I don’t- I mean, I do, I just… I want you in other ways too.”
You blushed, a sheepish smile under him. It was your turn to melt, to turn to putty under his gaze. “I know.” You whispered, black painted nails scratching down his forearms, over the etching of the puppet master. “I want to do this.” Your eyes lifted to his. “I trust you. I want to do this with you.”
It was exactly what he wanted to hear, you knew that, the darkened grin on his face confirmed it further. Your own hands fumbling with your jeans, wiggling them down your thighs while Eddie tore his t-shirt off above you, flinging it onto the floor.
You’d gone for a lacy, high cut thong tonight. Pale pink, frilly, if Eddie didn’t know any better, he’d think you planned this. That you planned to sleep with him. Maybe you thought about him the way he did you. Pictures of you flooded his mind, your hand sneaking between your thighs in the middle of the night, whimpering out his name.
You didn’t expect Eddie to drop to his knees, pulling your body towards the end of the couch, thighs on his shoulders. He made a show of taking off your panties, a slow tug dragging them down your bare legs.
“Holy shit,” Eddie rasped, heart beating in his ears. You giggled nervously, pressing your hands over your eyes. “Look at you.”
“Stop.” You whined in playful embarrassment, thighs pressing together.
“No, it’s- fuck.” Eddie swallowed his words, swallowed down the urge to tell you it was better than he imagined. Don’t be creepy, Munson.
“I gotta have a taste. Can-Can I have a taste?” Eddie’s eyes rounded towards yours, bright with excitement. “That alright with you? Let me make you feel good? Have a little taste?”
Your body burned, with lust maybe excitement, you weren’t sure. Your tiny nod was all he needed, spreading your thighs open, settling between your legs. You pushed up on your arms, looking down the valley of your sternum towards him.
Plush lips pressing kisses to your thighs, a teasing kiss to your mound that had you whimpering, aching and pulsing between the legs. Eddie’s eyes stayed on yours as he licked a long, slow stripe through your slit. Better than he imagined, so much fucking better.
Eyes rolling back, his fingertips dug into your thighs, nose pressed to your slick, he wanted to suffocate himself in your cunt. Better than anything he’d ever tasted before, he was a man starved, determined to devour you entirely- you were convinced he might. Teetering on the edge of experienced and enamored, your back arched, body twisting under his tongue. Whines and cries of pleasure filled the air, a crescendoing melody to the triumphant symphony Eddie was feeling in his veins, rushing with red hot pride.
It was paradise, better than his wildest dreams.
When you took him in your own mouth, sweetly grinning at him before giving a kitten lick to his leaking head, he was sure nothing would be better than this. This was his peak, everything he’d ever wanted and more. Better than Chrissy, than Tabitha, than anyone.
You brought him to your room, let him press your thighs back, spread you open again. He couldn’t help the cry of pleasure that spilled out when he slid into you, it just felt so right. Beyond pleasure, though it was plenty pleasurable, it felt flawless, ethereal.
Better than anything he could have imagined when he saw you weeks ago from his van, your car packed up full of boxes and suitcases tied on top. In a tiny pair of cut off shorts, moving everything in the warm sunshine.
How was he to know that all those weeks ago, after he’d watched you apply for jobs at the diners and boutiques, that when he’d put a help wanted flier on your door for Turtle’s, that it would lead to this. His mind could have never dreamt this, that you’d be this perfect, fit so perfectly with him.
No, this was fate, Eddie was sure of it. Cosmic fate. Chrissy and the others, they were only parading as the real thing, he’d just convinced himself it was when it was merely a disguise. But you, you were the real deal. Eddie decided it, when he settled in the sheets next to you, arms around your frame, staring out the window of your room.

Can I request when bimbo reader ignores Yandere Eddie because he scared her while he was mad?
imagining yandere!eddie on his knees in front of reader, voice cracking with emotion as he grips onto your hips with his ringed fingers, breathing heavily.
"p-please, baby," he whines, putting his forehead on your lower tummy, then closing his eyes to give the soft material of your shirt that's covering your stomach a few harder kisses as he inhales. "'m so so sorry..please don't ignore me anymore--c-can't take it.. 'm so sorry, sweetheart."
you're sniffling, eyes beginning to water as you bite your glossy lower lip in hopes to quell your soft cries. eddie's desperate now. kissing your knuckles and lifting your shirt up to kiss the bare skin there, whispering small, "i love you"'s and "i'm so sorry"'s and "please don't leave me--i need you".
when he stands up, he brushes away your tears with the back of his hand, giving you a soft kiss on your lips before pressing his forehead against yours. "please forgive me, baby. please."
you sniffle, "y-you scared me--" your voice thick with emotion.
eddie shushes you, hand weaving through your hair gently to get a tender grasp on it as he brings you closer and kisses your forehead before bringing your head to his chest as he mutters soft, "i know, baby. 'm so sorry. i love you."

im going insane.

MDNI | dark!Eddie Munson content
After being together for 7 months, Eddie finally decided that he wanted to keep you forever to himself; so he made sure he did a good job kidnapping you at 3 o’clock in the morning, to take you to an abandoned house.
He didn’t even have to drug you, you actually sleep like a fucking boulder. If anything, small sounds wake you more than loud ones.
That was one of the things he loved most about you. Never a fight to put up with.
——
You’ve been trapped in this old, broken dusty room for 2 months now. You’re hungry. You’ve been hungry for hours, days, weeks..
Not to fear though, Eddie’s been right beside you the entire time. Never leaving your side… he won’t leave you alone for a second. It’s honestly bothersome.
——
When you awoke in this house months ago, you were confused. You knew he loved you.. alot but you didn’t think he would keep you away from the world.. forever.
His ears always perk up to the sound of your rumbling tummy, it’s loud enough to echo..
..because it’s been empty for weeks. other than the plate of crackers he brings you occasionally.
“Mm, someone’s hungry huh?” he asks with sarcasm and surprise
“I just filled you up last night baby, you need more?”
“Please.. Eddie I- I need real food my stomach hurts”—
“Shh, shh it’s okay I gotcha”, he says climbing on top of your bedded body, you’re too weak to protest. You did say you’d do anything for him when you guys met didn’t you?
“I know exactly what you need sweetheart, I’ll make that belly of yours full in no time”- he says pulling off your musky underwear, his cock already sprung out
“I’ll get ya so s-stuffed”—, he strains to say as he pushes his cock into you
“Ed please, not like this I’m starvin”—
Smack.
“I know you’re hungry, cock hungry, I’m giving you what you need aren’t I?” You nod sadly, as he pants, pounding into your sore, wet hole
“You should get real full after this, I might even give you seconds so you won’t go hungry again”
He knows you meant hungry for food, but his cock can fill you up just as satisfying as food can. His logic.
*stomach gurgling louder*
“Goddamn, you are hungry huh? Here ya go fuck— fuck I’m cummimg!!”, he shouts filling you to brim—
“There you go sweetie, bon appetite” he smirks, pulling out and cuddling you into his side
Silent tears roll down your face, all you wanted was a piece of bread. A crumb.. anything more..
*stomach growls*
His eyes widen, chuckling looking down at you
“Still gotta big appetite dontcha?” he flips you back on to your back
“I think you could go for more, I know you can, you’re just a selfish, needy little bunny” he says patting your belly as if he’s talking about real food this time.
You start to want to say no, but he interjects that you forgot your dessert. Tonight’s special. Cream pie.
But not the kind you wanted.
You’re so hungry.

Tumblr media
it's only you who can tell me apart, and it's only you who can turn my wooden heart -- only you, portishead
Tumblr media
For starters, you would never know his true colors until it was too late
he's a fun, charismatic guy, and he's well-liked by everyone who actually gets to know him. And before you, he didn't even know that he had those tendencies in the first place.
But when you came into the picture, everything for him changed, and he felt almost a primal need to protect.
It would start out as you just wanting to try something new, the legendary dungeon master inviting you to one of Hellfire's many meet-ups.
You were desperate to make friends seeing as you were new to the small quaint town of Hawkins.
The two of you became fast friends. And that's all you thought you were, friends.
He would insist that he and his club were all you needed, and soon you spoke to nobody else but the Hellfire club.
He would make what seemed like jokes, telling you that anybody other than him didn't deserve someone as sweet as you. And he was right about one thing, you were sweet.
That's how the real shit started.
Before Steve, it was all about having fun and hanging out with you whenever he deemed fit.
Steve was the only person you really spoke to besides the club, and when Eddie found out, he was entirely against it.
"He's nothing but bad news, alright? He just wants to get in your pants, this is 'King Steve' we're talking about." he would tell you once he found out, "Guys like that don't deserve to even be looked at by you."
Because he had said it as if it were a joke, a teasing smile on his face, that's what you passed it off as, a joke.
But now he was attached to your side like a puppy, where ever you went, Eddie was sure to be not far behind.
He even went as far as to learn new subjects for you so you wouldn't have to go to someone else for tutoring.
Finally, after much consulting with Dustin on how to go about it, he asked you out.
You thought Eddie was attractive, funny, and kind, so you couldn’t imagine yourself saying anything else other than yes.
He would treat you like a queen, worshiping the ground you walked on.
Eddie would begin to double down on the time he was already spending with you, which seemed impossible, yet he made it possible.
You enjoyed finding out small things about Eddie during your time spent together, but you mainly talked about you when you were together.
Soon, Eddie knew you as well as you did. He would pick up on little things that you did and keep them in his mind, hoarding them like a magpie.
You would ignore the late-night, uninvited visits from him, his clumsy ass "sneaking" into your room through your window. He insisted that he could sleep without you, and it was true, he couldn't find himself drifting off without his head against your chest and your hands in his hair, his arms wrapped around you tightly as if you were a lifeline.
By the time you noticed something was seriously wrong, it was when he began to keep you from your friends in Hellfire.
He couldn't trust you with anyone else, he felt as though you were treasure, and he needed to save you from being tainted by the disgusting cruelty of the world.
Eddie knew what it felt like to be ridiculed by the world around him, and he couldn't bear the thought of you being treated the same.
With the eventual complaints from you, he would brush them off and dismiss them quickly, trying to distract you with witty banter or jokes to take your mind off of you.
(NSFW) When you finally gave yourself to him, he felt as though he was given a gift from a higher power. You were untouched, a virgin. His pretty, perfect, innocent, untouched princess. He took note of everything that made you tick, memorizing your pussy like a map. He made you feel pleasure you never thought you could. And in a way, it made you more attached to him in the long run.
Soon, sex became a new way to distract you from your concerns, and more so, the people around you.
When you finally manage to make your concerns voiced, avoiding his distractions, he wasn't thrilled. It was explosive.
Eddie was baffled at how you couldn't see how awful people were. How cruel and unforgiving high school hierarchies could be.
He felt shitty for it, but he guilt-tripped you with tears and pleading.
(NSFW) The argument was concluded with his head between your thighs as he whimpered apologies into your cunt as he devoured you. But in the back of his mind, he wasn't sorry at all. It was for your own good.
There was an instance that had truly scared you.
Steve was just trying to be nice, he had spoken to Dustin about what your favorite movies were, and took the liberty of delivering them to your house after he hadn't heard from you. He used the videotapes as an excuse to check on you.
Unfortunately for the hopeless romantic, Eddie was listening from the living room while you spoke with Steve at the front door.
"Ever since you started hanging out with that Munson kid, nobody sees much of you anymore. Are you okay?"
How dare he, how dare he? How dare Steve Harrington make you question your relationship with him. How dare Steve come to your house while you and he were perfectly content watching movies.
Eddie was quick to appear behind you, his arms wrapped around your waist protectively, an eyebrow raising at Steve, daring him to continue.
"Sorry, I didn't know you had company," Steve would apologize.
"No, no, it's alright," you would promise, making Eddie scowl, "We were just watching some movies if you wanted to jo-"
"AAAlright, that's enough, time for you to go, Harrington," Eddie stopped your offer in its tracks, attempting to close the door, but Steve put his foot in the way.
"No man, I don't think so."
Steve knew something was wrong. But he wasn't sure if you knew it as well.
It turned into an argument between the two and quickly escalated from there, Eddie swinging first.
It was all a blur from there. You begged Eddie to get off your friend, and eventually, he did, but not without leaving Steve with a nasty black eye.
When you managed to pull Eddie inside and slam the door behind you, you scolded him, asking what the hell was wrong with him.
"Remember what I told you? He just wants to get in your pants! He wants what's mine!" Eddie would try to reason.
You were pretty shaken up, not in the mood to argue with him, knowing he would never let up. He was stubborn like that.
You were clearly distraught about the situation, and Eddie saw this as yet another opportunity to drive the point home that people were awful and didn't deserve a sweetheart like you.
Eddie had consoled you that night, wiping away our tears as he held your head in his lap. He hated seeing you cry, but it was for your own good.
All for your own good.

best friend yandere Steve or yandere Eddie that's so sweet you don't realize how bad the situation is... like they steal your things, invade your personal space to smell your hair, etc. but they're so sweet and polite that you forgive them or just think it's endearing 😳
oh my god baby you read my mind🤤🤤
like with either of them but especially eddie i think fits this. he’s constantly in your space, right up against you even when you’re with your friends. he’ll come and greet you with a tight hug and his face in your hair for a little longer than is appropriate and everyone says he’s weird and you should drop him but you feel bad!! he’s sweet and he likes you a lot and it feels nice to be wanted. plus, he’s so polite and never steps a foot out of line when you’re hanging out and you can’t bring yourself to stop being friends with him. even if he’s all over you all the time and wants to cuddle and love on you. that’s just what best friends do, right? even if his stare always lingers and he always picks up if you’re using a new shampoo or perfume. he’s just observant, right?
and steve. oh, stevie. everyone thought it was a little odd when ‘king steve’ suddenly took an interest in you. you’re opposite ends of the social ladder. but you grew close and eventually ended up spending the majority of your time together. your friends hate him. they think he’s weird and creepy and it’s not healthy how much he likes you. they’re right but you don’t know that. you just think he’s sweet and kind and wants to be near you. he’s constantly inviting you to parties and losing his shit if any of the popular crowd tease you, even in passing. you’re on his lap every minute he’s sitting down and he whispers things in your ear, little jokes and secrets for just the two of you. that boy adores you. and yeah, maybe sometimes he steals your underwear or little trinkets he finds in your bedroom, but you pretend not to notice because you’re so attached to him by that point that it doesn’t matter. he just loves you, right?

An: Hi you guys! This is my first attempt at writing of any kind.  I'm also new to Tumblr and don't know how to create links to a master list. All feedback is welcome, be gentle please haha. Please do not steal or copy my work. Don’t repost without credit. This is my written work, everything besides the characters and plot points by the original writers, belongs to me.
~
You impatiently tapped your foot as you stood in the checkout line of Bradley's Big Buy supermarket. The lines were extremely long today due to only one cashier manning the register. There was also some sort of party going on this weekend, you had seen numerous buggies of party foods and cheap beer being bought.
Your buggy contained a six-pack along with popcorn and some essentials for the house. You were preparing for the movie night you had planned with Eddie tonight. The both of you had agreed that he would get the movies and candy leaving you to get popcorn. The beer was something you'd thought of at the last minute while at the store.
Your son was spending the weekend with your mom and dad giving you a much-needed break. You loved your son dearly but you were looking forward to some peace and quiet.
You huffed as you shifted your weight from one foot to the other, trying to ease the slight ache in your feet. The wine of a baby caught your attention, looking ahead you noticed a young woman in front of you holding her baby, patting and bouncing him on her hip trying to keep him quiet.
She looked to be in her early twenties, still a baby herself. Seeing her reminded you of yourself and how much you struggled as a young parent. You didn't have much guidance and had to rely on the advice of the older women in the park. Although you had forgiven your parents a small part of you could never forget how they had essentially abandoned you and their grandson when you needed them most.
The line shifted and you moved forward looking at your watch noting it to be a quarter past three. At this point it would be nighttime before you got out of here, you thought shaking your head.
Thirty minutes later you had checked out and were walking to your truck. You unlocked the door and began to unload your items into the passenger side.
"Hey muffin," a raspy voice said behind you.
You gasped as your body lurched forward, shaking with fear. Taking a deep breath you willed yourself to turn around, facing your husband. He stood a few feet away from you, his hands shoved into his pockets.
"What are you doing here?" your voice was edged with fear.
"I got the papers," he stated ignoring your question. He walked closer to you, slowly as if he was a predator trying to avoid spooking his prey.
You remained silent too shocked to respond. Your eyes darted left and right, seeking desperately for help or a way out.
Noticing your expression he tensed, taking his hands out and balling them by his sides. "Stop overreacting, I'm just trying to have a conversation with you." he bit out.
You opened your mouth and closed it again, your words failing you. Waiting a moment you were able to respond "Please l-let me g-go, I'm scared!" you pleaded, frantic with fear.
He sprung forward, closer towards you, invading your personal space. His arms slammed into the truck on each side of you effectively caging you in.
A bolt of panic hit you causing you to shout in fear. He slapped a hand over your mouth to shut you up and glanced around the parking lot, making sure no one had seen anything. Tears streamed down your face running over his hands.
He leaned in close his stale breath fanning across your face "I'm not signing those fucking papers, so you can just forget about that." he sneered. Suddenly he leaned back and smiled "It was nice talking with you," he said loudly. He turned and walked briskly in the other direction getting into a red car you hadn't noticed before.
You didn't dare move, making sure he got into the car and watching him drive away. As the car passed you noticed a woman looking at you, none other than Cindy Johnson. Looking closer you noticed that her features were twisted in concern and something else you couldn't interpret.
~
You had finally gotten home, having gone back into the store and called your father to come to pick you up. You were shaken up and were in no position to drive home. Your mother stayed at their home with your son not wanting to alert him that something was wrong.
The police were called as well and you filed a report of the incident with your father by your side for support. Lucky for you the store had just installed surveillance cameras in the parking and store due to the upsurge in disappearances lately.
You had left your truck after taking out your purchases and loading them into your dad's car. He assured you that he would find a way to get your truck home to you and not to worry about it. The drive home was silent, you were too shocked and numb to hold a conversation.
After you had arrived home, your father made sure to check the windows and called a locksmith to replace the locks on the doors. Once he was satisfied that you were okay he hugged you goodbye promising to call you later.
You were now alone, alone with your thoughts, alone with your anger, alone with the shame of the cowardice you felt, and most of all alone with the fear of what was yet to come. The clock ticked loudly making your breath suddenly catch, all air in the room seemed to dissipate, leaving you gasping for breath.
Blood pounded in your ears and you stood up in a panic trying to regain control of your senses. Your chest heaved up and down frantically as you clutched your chest in alarm, unable to catch your breath.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door catching your attention. Still gripping your chest, you stumbled to the door throwing it open. The panic you felt outweighed the thought of who could be on the other side, hoping that whoever it was could help you.
Eddie stood smiling cheesily on the other side arms full of tapes and goodies. His face quickly fell at the state you were in. Dropping everything on the porch he rushed to your side kicking the door closed.
"Hey, hey it's okay," he said softly, as he walked towards you slowly. "C-can I touch you? "I just want to help," he said sincerely holding his arms out to you.
You nodded frantically, giving your consent.
He quickly wrapped you up in his arms rubbing your back soothingly. "Take deep breaths, in and out kay"? "On three," he urged you calmly. "One....two....three.....One....two....three...." he repeatedly counted.
Your head laid upon his chest, fingers twisted in the fabric of his shirt as you desperately inhaled and exhaled on his count. Tears streamed down your face at the exertion on your body.
Slowly he lowered you both, sitting on the floor. He turned you around so your back was pressed to his chest. He continued to count and began to breathe in and out himself, allowing you to follow the rhythm of his breathing.
Leaning back you close your eyes, focusing on his words and breathing. You increase your inhale in and exhale out as you struggle to regain control of your breathing. He rubs your arms soothingly, keeping you grounded and centered.
Moments pass and your nerves finally settle allowing your body to function normally. You feel sore, your chest aching from your battle to breathe. Sitting up slowly, you move forward to get up, stumbling back to your knees.
"Whoa, whoa— take it easy,” he urges catching you before you fall. He helps you up, walking you over to the couch and setting you down gently. He sits beside you grasping your palms and begins to massage comforting circles into the back of your hands.
You avoid his eyes as a wave of shame washes over you, embarrassed that he had to witness you having a panic attack and also grateful that he showed up when he did.
"I'm sorry— I didn't..." you choke on a sob, your eyes welling with hot tears. You wipe them away angrily, ashamed all over again for having poured all of this onto him.
He pulls you into a hug wrapping his arms around you, "Don't you dare apologize, you have nothing to be sorry for." he assures you.
Fresh tears fall anew, in that moment you felt safe. Safe to let your guard down and release all of your pain. Settling your arms around his neck you lay your head on his chest, allowing yourself to cry as he held you, rubbing your back gently.
You're not sure how long the moment lasts, it feels as if it's seconds and hours at the same time. Once your tears subside, you're lulled into a calm state. Still tucked safely into Eddie's arms, not willing to break away and disturb the peace you feel. He had leaned back into the couch to get more comfortable, still keeping you in his embrace.
"My mom had really bad anxiety" Eddie mumbles above you.
You make a noise of acknowledgment, listening to him intently.
Clearing his throat he continues "My father— he wasn't a good person," "Terrorizing her every chance he could, eventually, he broke her." he stated emptily.
"I was young, too young to protect her, I had to learn how to help her whenever she had an attack," he explained.
You lower your arms to your sides and lean back from him to look into his eyes. They look cold and distant as if he's been transported to another time and place.
"I'm sorry about your mom and that you had to experience that," you say sincerely. "No child should have to take care of their parent."
He nods his head in acknowledgment. "I just don't want you to feel sorry for what just happened," he says smiling softly.
You smile in response, feeling ready to share your story as well. "My husband—" you start, stopping to take a deep breath.
Eddie takes your hand in his, squeezing gently, encouraging you silently to continue.
"My husband abuses me," you continue. "Emotionally and physically," you confide holding up your arm wrapped in the cast. "He did this to me during our last fight, if you could call it that," you state humorlessly.
"He left that night and I made the choice to leave him for good, not only for me but for my son too." "He deserves better than to be raised in a broken home, I'd rather be a single parent than to continue to allow that to happen," you say frankly.
"I served him divorce papers and I guess he finally got them." "I'm not sure how he knew where I was but he cornered me today. I had just gotten done shopping when he threatened me," you said shaking your head in disbelief.
You glance at him before continuing "I guess I just broke down and released all of my pent-up emotions,"  "sorry you had to witness that" you apologize again.
"I thought I told you not to apologize," he chides gently, tapping you playfully on your shoulder.
"I know, but I can't help but feel awful." "We barely know each other, you shouldn't have to be my therapist," you confess jokingly.
"Sweetheart, I think we've passed the point of not knowing each other," he chuckles.
Your breath catches at the pet name. "Well, that was a lot to unpack," you laugh. Although you still felt like shit and your body was sore beyond belief, you honestly felt like a weight had been lifted.
"Right, I've never talked to anyone about my mom and pops before." He thinks for a moment "besides my Uncle Wayne," he admits glancing at you.
"I'm honored that you were comfortable enough to share that with me" you respond flashing him a warm smile.
"Thank you for allowing me to help you," he replies sitting up a bit. "But seriously though, you're stronger than you think," he says. "Just make sure that you keep moving forward and never look back, kay? he pleads.
You nod in agreement and fall into a comfortable silence as you attempt to process all that has happened. You yawn suddenly feeling yourself beginning to crash.
You cover your mouth in apology glancing at Eddie. "Sorry," you say sheepishly.
Eddie looks at you and chuckles. "I guess that's my cue," he says slowly getting up to leave.
You grab the sleeve of his jean jacket impulsively. Not sure what possessed you to do so.
He stops in place and turns to look at you questioningly. "Everything okay," he asks.
"Yeah, I just— Could you please stay? Just in case if...." you trail off unable to finish your sentence. You drop your hand into your lap and lower your eyes to the floor thoroughly embarrassed now.
Eddie laughs lightly causing you to look up at him through your lashes. You notice that a blush has spread across his features.
He rubs a hand through his hair "Of course, as long as you don't mind my snoring," he quips. "I think I could be used as some sorta bear repellent," he says jokingly.
"Well that's good then, you will stop anyone from coming in here," you smirk.
He laughs along with you, his brown eyes crinkling cheerfully. "Where do you want me to sleep," he gestures around the room.
"The couch is a pullout, it's more comfortable than it looks," you tell him. You get up from the couch and head towards the linen closet. "Are you okay with that," you ask as you pull out a spare pillow and blanket.
"Of course, I think I can manage," he smirks. "It's not like my bed is made out of the finest silk," he laughs jokingly. He stops laughing, walking hastily to the door.
You watch him curiously as he opens your door, picking up the bags he dropped earlier. He closes the door behind him "Almost forgot about these" he explains motioning to the bags as he places the items on the table.
"This was so not how I intended our movie night to go," you say feeling slightly annoyed. At this point, it seemed like it would never get to happen.
He thinks for a moment "I'm not mad about it, it just gives me a reason to hang out with you again," he says smoothly. He goes over to the couch and begins removing the cushions to pull out the frame.
You stand there for a moment, shocked into silence. He can't mean that, right? I mean, technically you're still young but the responsibility of being a parent is what sets you apart from others your age.
"You sure you want to waste your free time with an old lady" you kid as you walk over to him to help.
As you finish setting up, he turns towards you his eyes flicker with mischief "well you sure don't look like one," he replies simply. He sits down on the pullout and takes off his shoes and jacket.
Heat spreads throughout your body at his words. Was he flirting with you or was he just being polite? You hand him the pillow and blanket "well, I guess I'll see you in the morning," you say changing the subject.
"See you in the morning," he says with a warm smile.
"Goodnight," you reply softly, backing up towards your room.
"G'night," he replies.
Smiling you turn around and enter your bedroom closing the door. Quickly dressing for bed, you hop in and turn off your light. You lay there staring up at the ceiling completely awake now.
Your mind races a mile a minute, jumping from one thing to the next. After a while, you hear snoring coming from the next room. You laugh softly as a yawn bubbles up from your chest. Turning over you finally fall asleep.
~
When you awake in the morning Eddie is still sleeping, snoring peacefully. Tiptoeing by him, you go to take a shower. Once you're done you get started cooking breakfast. As you're scrambling the eggs in the skillet, Eddie comes into the kitchen yawning.
"G'morning," he says blearily.
"Good morning," you reply cheerily.
He clears his throat while leaning on the counter. "Need any help," he offers.
"Yeah, could you set the plates on the table, they're in that top cabinet behind you," you say as you turn the eye off on the stove. The toast pops up from the toaster announcing that they are done and you move to take them out.
"I hope you're hungry," you say as you follow behind Eddie with the food. You spoon the food from the skillets onto both plates. You go back into the kitchen to pour some orange juice nearly dropping the cups when you see Eddie close behind you.
"Let me," he says gently, taking the cups from you and walking them over to the table.
"But you're my guest," you protest pouting.
"Yeah, but you've done enough making all of this delicious food," he says spreading his arms out. "Now, it's time for you to relax and enjoy the meal you've prepared," he tells you as he pulls out your chair.
"Thank you," you beam flashing him a smile. "Such a gentleman," you say before taking a bite out of your food.
"That's a first," he laughs as he begins to eat.
You fall into a comfortable silence as you eat your food making small talk in between bites.
Eddie is the first to finish letting out an exaggerated sigh and patting his stomach. "Wow, that was the best meal I've ever had," he exclaims. "Wait that may be the only meal I've ever had," he jokes.
You roll your eyes and grin as you get up to clear the table. Eddie beats you to it saying "please, I insist."
"Only if you let me help, non-negotiable," you reply crossing your arms with a smirk.
"Deal," he says.
~
After cleaning the kitchen, you both moved to the living room to clean that area as well. You folded the comforter and put it, along with the pillow back into the closet, while Eddie folded the couch back into position.
You worked in silence, once everything was finished you sat on the couch and sighed. Eddie took a seat beside you, close but not enough to invade your space.
"What do you have planned today," he asked you suddenly.
"Nothing really, I was going to go down to the mechanic later and get my brakes changed," you replied.
He perked at that and turned to you suddenly his dark eyes widening "I can totally do that for you," he exclaims.
You laugh at his sudden outburst, he was so expressive, often reacting without a second thought. You wished that you could be as carefree as he seemed.
"Are you sure?" "I don't want to ask something of you that you're not comfortable doing," you reply carefully. You don't want to offend him by questioning if he is capable to do the job.
"Of course, I work on my van and my uncle's car all the time," he says proudly. He points a finger to his chest and continues "I might not look it but I'm pretty handy with repairs.
"Well, in that case, I would be much obliged if you did fix them," you implore batting your lashes theatrically.
"Anything for you sweetness," he responds. "Do you have the parts," he asks.
No, I don't even know what type of part to get," you admit. "I was hoping that the mechanic would already have what I needed."
"That's okay, I can help with that too," he grins. "So, when do you want to go to pick up the part?"
"Anytime you're ready, also could we use your van to pick it up?" "My dad is supposed to be dropping off my car sometime later today," you say, rambling a bit.
"Well, I guess I'll go and get ready now," he says standing up.
You stand up as well and start walking with him towards the door. You step out onto the porch and bask in the sunlight for a moment tilting your head towards the sun, smiling. Just as quickly, you turn back to Eddie to find him facing you with a brow raised.
"Just recharging my batteries," you quip.
"Okay, so you're going through photosynthesis then, got it." "How often should I water you?" he deadpans.
Ewe! Eddie that's so gross," you titter giving him a light shove.
"Hey, I meant water," he argues laughing. He stops suddenly and wiggles his brows at you "what did you think I meant?" he questions.
You gasp, lowering your head to let your hair cover your flushed smiling face. "N-nothing, I d-don't know what I meant," you stammer. Pushing him off the porch you squeak out "Okay, bye! See ya later!"
He hops down your steps grinning mischievously. "See ya later neighbor," he sings skipping down the trail to his house.
You groan as you go into your home shutting your door. I wonder how many times can one embarrass themselves in one day you think as you go to get dressed.
~
You wait about an hour, giving Eddie time to get ready before leaving your home to meet him. As you're locking up the trailer you hear someone clearing their throat loudly.
Turning to your side you see Mrs. Brenda sitting in her rocking chair. "Hi hon, how are you today?" she asks.
You walk towards the steps of her porch and lean against the railing. "I'm doing fine, I had a rough day yesterday but I'm doing much better," you say.
"Oh no, I'm glad that you're feeling better," Is everything going to be okay?" she says worriedly.
You start to recount everything that happened yesterday, feeling comfortable doing so since she pretty much knows the history between you and your husband. With her being right next door, she's heard a lot of the fights and arguments between the two of you.
She listens patiently waiting for you to finish. "I'm sorry, that happened to you honey," she says taking your hand in hers.
"That man, and I use that word loosely, needs to be put down like the rabid dog that he is," she says venomously.
Your eyes widen, you've never heard her speak ill towards anyone before. "Mrs. Brenda!" you say amazed.
"It's true, and if I catch him around here, ill pop a cap in his ass," she says matter of factly.
You laugh deeply, holding your sides. "I thank you but I can't let you do that," you pause trying to contain the giggles. "We'll just leave it to the authorities okay?"
"Um hmm," she says as she starts rocking her chair again.
You sigh exasperatedly, "Mrs. Brenda, I'm serious I—," you're cut off abruptly by the sound of tires rolling over gravel.
Eddie pulls up in his van, rolling down his window. "Hey gorgeous," he yells out while leaning out the window and waving.
Your eyes furrow in confusion, and you lift your hand waving back shyly.
Before you can respond Mrs. Brenda speaks "Hello, hot shot," she says swooning like a teenage girl.
He looks at you with a smug smile, "Hey, you ready to go?"
You mumble goodbye to your neighbor and sulk over to the van. Eddie leans over and opens the door before you can reach it. Hauling yourself into the van, you settled down in your seat and fastened your seatbelt.
Eddie looks at you with an arrogant grin "Hey gorgeous."
"Shut up and drive," you say staring pointedly at the road with a heated flush across your face.
~
After you and Eddie return from your trip to the auto store. You find that your father had returned your car while you were gone. Your heart warms at how he handled everything for you, so you didn't have to. You make a mental note to thank him as soon as possible.
Eddie drops you off in front of your house and drives off to go park. You look in the flower pot by your steps and find your car keys. You had told your dad where he could leave the keys just in case you were gone.
Eddie comes around the corner with his toolbox and a jack stand. He has his hair up in a bun with tendrils of hair hanging freely. "Wow, you really are a handyman huh," you exclaim, peering at all the tools peeking out of the box.
His face and the tips of his ears turn red at your acknowledgment. He smiles in response and quickly gets to work. It's still early out and the sun is high in the sky. You sit on the porch watching for a while before heading inside your trailer.
You go to the kitchen to make sandwiches and fix some lemonade. You're done in no time and go back out with the food and drinks. As you sit everything down on the small table outside, you notice Eddie sitting on the ground with his back to you.
He's close by the wheel which is suspended in the air by the jack. Due to the humid weather, he has forgone his shirt for comfort.
Your mouth goes dry as you openly stare at his back, feeling safe to do so since his attention is focused elsewhere. His skin is pale and smooth with beauty marks dotted here and there. He's lean but still has a naturally toned build.
You watch as the muscles in his back swell and rise, straining as he exerts pressure on the task at hand. Finally, he gets the worrisome part on. You quickly avert your gaze to pick up the food and drink.
"Lunch break?" you ask with a smile.
"He turns to you smiling fondly "sure," he says setting down his tool. Dusting off his hands on his faded ripped jeans, he picks up his shirt and wipes the sweat from his brow.
You hand him the plate of sandwiches and the cup of lemonade as he sits beside you on the steps. You're silent, lost in your thoughts, as Eddie devours the food you prepared.
"Thank you," he says getting up and setting the plate down in his place.
"Is there a lot left to do?" you wonder as he goes back to his task at hand.
"Not really, I took off the old brake pad and caliper. I'm almost done putting on the new one," he says.
"Oh," you say, not really understanding.
He laughs a little as he puts another one of the parts you bought from the store. "I'll be done in about thirty minutes."
You hum in response, getting up and picking up the plates along the way. After washing the dishes you call your mom to check up on your son. He tells you about all of the fun he's having and you listen with a smile on your face. After a while, you say your goodbyes, telling him you love him before hanging up the phone.
As you walk back outside you see that your truck has been lowered and Eddie is putting his tools back in his box. He looks at you over his shoulder and hands you the keys.
"Alright, time to test those bad boys out," he says.
After you drive around the park at 10 miles per hour, tapping on the brakes. You can finally drive your car safely without Fred Flinstoning the brake pedal.
Once you've parked your truck, you are once again in front of your steps with Eddie beside you. You turn to him with a grateful smile on your face.
"Eddie, I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate everything you've done for me," you choke on your words a bit, as you start to feel a little emotional.
He stands there smiling, patiently waiting for you to finish.
Tears well up in your eyes as you look up at him, smiling softly. "Even though we haven't been for long, you are a great friend and I'm thankful for you."
He stiffens slightly at your admission but you are too busy wrapping your arms around him to notice. He hugs you tightly to him and you lay your head on his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.  He lays his head on top of yours, rubbing his hands along your back for comfort.
You stay there a moment basking in his embrace. His scent is strong but not overbearing, the smell of his cologne, cigarettes, and off-brand laundry detergent creates a perfect blend of fragrances.
You're the first to pull away with a smile. "Thanks again Eddie, for everything," you whisper.
"Anytime sweetheart, what are friends for?" he smiles back at you warmly.
Your stomach turns at his response but you choose to ignore it. You tell him goodbye and promise to make plans for the movie night soon.
His words echo in your head over and over 'what are friends for?' Sleep doesn't come easy for you that night.

🩸🔪Who’s a good boy?🔪🩸
WORD COUNT: 2,649💕
Summary: Breaking news: A serial killer has just been spotted in Hawkins as of last week, do not walk alone, stay indoors unless absolutely necessary, stay where you are, stay with family or friends, go in pairs, if you see anything or know anything call the local authorities, pray to whatever God you believe in. This guy has already killed two people, in broad daylight, keep your eye out for anyone suspicious in anyway. May God have mercy on our souls. . .
A/N: finally got some of my drafts out, give these stories some sugar will ya?
Warning(s): 18+, blood, gore, stalking, cursing, fighting, choking, (let me know if I missed any)
I shut off the TV, rolling my eyes. Seriously? They think a man is doing the killings? I'll give you something a man would do, stupid fuckers. The media gets on my nerves all the time, they never assume a woman could be doing what the assume is a mans' job, related to killing. But, whatever, fuck me right? I sighed tying my shoes. Another day in another town, another journal entry. No lover, no one to hold. The last person I fell in love with, found out what I had done to his "girlfriend" she didn't deserve him, he was mine and only mine, no matter how much I tried to bring him to me. He never came, he walked in on me tying a rope around her neck and trying to set an apparent suicide. I dropped her lifeless body and held my arms out, for a hug, I was so sure he would understand and come running into my arms. Then we could have made love right next to her stiff body...That didn't happen, he pushed passed me screaming her name, shaking her and crying. 'Baby?! Wake up—Baby!' He screamed. No response. 'I'm right here' I said in a hush tone, I wanted him to fucking notice me. He did notice me, moving his glossy eyes to look up at me, only to scream and call me a monster. I am not a fucking monster, I am a good person trying to get the one they love. That hurt, him calling me a monster hurt the most..I love hi— no, I loved him. Once that left his lips, something inside me flipped; like someone flipping the light switch in a dark room to bring in light. All I saw was red. Once I came to my sense and looked at what I had done, tears building up in my eyes, staring at my shaking hands only to be covered with blood. Tears began to stream down my face as I look at his lifeless body, a hammer covered in his blood. I silently sobbed as I cleaned up my stupid fucking mess. If only he hadn't of seen me, if only..I might as well keep a low profile as best as I can, otherwise I will have to move again.
No one suspects an innocent girl—Right?
I slipped into my alt themed clothes:
Tumblr media
I had transferred myself to the Hawkins High School. I don't talk to my parents anymore, not since the incident. I never cared for them, I mean they never noticed me, I hardly felt loved by them. If I had felt love from them, would I be the person I am today? I sighed as I stepped outside my trailor and began to walk the 3 miles to school. Being a murderer, has it's perks I guess, the speed that I walk at always gets me there faster than my victim; basically like the movies. It's funny to know that small dumb things like walking will be to my advantage. I didn't have a bag, all I had was my purse, not like I really cared for school. Only subject I cared about was, english and science; I will always love science; always new ways to hide the bodies and to kill. Though English, I can always write a fake suicide note, which was what I was planning to do before he ruined it and tried to play the hero. I hate those kind of people. 10 minutes pass, I had arrived at the school. Looking around I found some woods near by, 'good start' I said to myself, looking around the parking lot I can see the jocks, cheerleaders, geeks, nerds, band kids, everyone. My eyes fell on a white van, something I haven't seen in awhile, at least since my last killing spree much far in the south of Indiana; I smiled, 'who is the idiot with a white van with no fucking windows' I asked myself. The driver side door flung open, smoke poured out of the van like water was rushing out to fill the parking lot, I took a deep breath, 'weed', I let a sigh that turned into a soft moan. I haven't smoked in awhile, but I did like the smell. A leg slammed on the concrete, then another, followed by a deep raspy grunt. This tall boy, long brown curly hair, somewhat saggy black skinny jeans, wearing a baseball shirt with the words 'Hellfire Club' written on it; with dice, a demon and what looks like a dagger. I stared at him, looking him up and down, 'omg—' I gulped, from my head to my toes I felt this tingling feeling that found its place at my core, my heartbeat wasn't beating in its normal speed. I bit the inside of my cheek as I squeezed my thighs together. Smiling I watched him stomp out his blunt, heat rose to my cheeks, I couldn't help how much I was smiling, my cheeks began to hurt. I walked up to his van slowly, right before I had reached his van he ran off into the school; I bent down and picked up his butt of a blunt. I pull out a wooden box, and carefully placed the end inside. I closed it with a kiss and out it back in my purse.
I giggled to myself, my cheeks still hot, 'I will make you mine, my love' I smiled. 'You will be mine always and forever'. I started my day off by getting my schedule, as much as I hated not seeing the love of my life, 24/7, I had to blend in. My first few classes were as boring as ever. I didn't talk to anyone, never said a word, I only nodded and shook my head in response. A straight resting bitch face all morning until lunch came around. I walked into the room and headed towards the line to grab anything. Everyone and their cliques found their respected tables and sat down, I walked to the corner of the room, to sit down at this small round table. It wasn't like the rest of the tables, looking at my sorry excuse of a lunch, I picked off the things that I could eat and that wouldn't mess up my stomach. Most of the sorry excuse wasn't all appealing to the eye, whoever made the food will die sometime this week or today. I pulled out a small notebook from my purse and a pencil, might as well start working on new methods. Still poking at my food, and doodling methods I could feel someone's eyes on me, I stopped my pencil in its tracks and looked up to see a blonde boy staring at me, only he wasn't at his table, he was standing infront of me, and my table. I looked him up and down, raising an eyebrow; he smirked and sat in front of me. "You're new right?" He asked, I nodded. He smiled again, "You're cute, want to come sit with me and my friends?" He asked nicely, I thought nothing of it but I had a bad feeling, I shrugged. He stood up holding his hand out to me, I took his hand and he lead me to his table full of guys in letterman jackets. I couldn't help but feel weak, like they were undressing me with their stares, I gulped a hunk of spit down as I sat, I didn't smile, I didn't say a word, I looked down at my notebook and continued to doodle. I looked around the room one more time, to see that almost everyone was staring at me at the jock table, I lowered my head slightly in shame, scanned the room one more time to find him, my love staring at me, with wide eyes. Heat rushed to my cheeks, I smiled at him, he didn't smile back but gave me a nod, acknowledging me. My heart sank to the floor, 'Is this true love?' I asked myself. I kept imagining everything with him, I have been saving my first time for the right guy, and he noticed me! On my first day of school. I drew and drew, throughout lunch, pictures of him and me; with as many kids as he wanted. A white picket fence, big lovely house, 4 dogs, anything and everything. I will be the perfect housewife for him, whatever he wants to do for work I support fully; I only ask for him to be mine and only mine.
I pulled my hand up to my face, holding my cheek softly as I smiled looking at my work. The bell rang and I quickly shoved my notebook into my purse and got up. I walked towards the door, but someone grabbed my wrist and pulled me back, I look up and it was the blonde boy, "I'm Jason Carter by the way, and I was wondering if you would like to hang out sometime" he smiled rubbing the back of his neck, I looked at him with big doe eyes then at my love. I shook my head, and walked away. I swear I heard him growl like a dog, he then pushed passed me with the words "Fucking tease", he huffed as he walked out of the room. I rubbed my shoulder, where he had pushed through me, pouting, frowning, 'Jason Carter, huh? Big mistake to tell me your name pal. I snickered to myself, god another beautiful episode was about to go down, I couldn't stop smiling, I was so happy and excited that another victim of mine decided to spill the beans on their name! I might take him up on his 'hangout' offer, the closer I am to my victim the less suspicious it is. I continued the rest of my day watching him from a far, the love of my life, he wasn't doing any school work. He just sat there drawing, tapping his pencil on his desk or was writing. I tilted my head slightly in confusion, I started making my way to my locker when I bumped into two people, I looked down in shame, not saying a word. "Hey you okay?" one asked, I nodded, still looking at my shoes. "You're new right? My name's Dustin" he said, I looked up at him to see a boy with curly light brown hair, in what looks like a Hawaiian shirt and 'thinking cap', "This is Mike" he pointed to his friend with long curly black hair, he waved slightly, he didn't seem too happy in meeting me. I nodded and pulled out some paper to write my name, 'I'm Y/N', I handed the note to Dustin, "Nice to meet you Y/N, um do you play DnD?" Dustin asked, I nodded and held up two fingers signifying I have played a little bit. "We are looking for a new recruit, to fill in for out friend Lucas" I smiled and nodded excitedly. Dustin gave a big toothy grin, "Awesome! We meet after school today, though Gareths' mom doesn't want us over again after the mess we made, would it be okay with your folks for us to play there?" I thought for a second, then nodded and wrote my address on the paper that had my name on it, handing it over to Dustin. I smiled clutching my books to my chest. "Amazing, we didn't think that someone of your class would play DnD, so glad you do!" I tilted my head confused, only for Mike to open his mouth, "Dustin, this is some kind of joke dude, I'm sure this is a prank so she can be on the cheer squad" he rolled his eyes looking at me, my bubbly demeanor faded as I stared at him, my arms fell slack still clutching my books. I took deep breaths, as many as I could, "See, what did I tell you, it is all an act" my eyes shot up at Mike, looking him into his big brown eyes. I stared into his fucking soul, I huffed at his comment. I shoved him into the lockers pinning him at the throat, pointing my finger at him. "Ooh so scary" he said sarcastically, I furrowed my eyebrows, 'Are you fucking kidding me?' I asked myself, I shoved my forearm up on his neck, pushing him up. He began to hit me trying to get me too stop. Dustin started to panic as he tried to pull me off of him. "Jesus, you're strong, come on man" he said. The bell rang and I dropped Mike to his knees, I slammed my foot on the lockers next to his head, and whispered, "I will fucking kill you, you say something like that again; they'll never find your body." Before he could ask anything I took my foot away from his head, smiling, and bowed to say 'sorry' and continued to my next class.
"D-dude, she's fucking c-crazy!" Mike choked. Dustin nodded his head, "Where's Edd-"
"Looking for me?" Eddie said walking up to the two boys. The rest of the group came a long when they saw Mike struggling to stand, "We found s-someone to fill in b-but she's f-fuck—" Mike cut himself off, he and Dustin looked over Eddie's shoulder to see me giving Mike a death stare, pointing two fingers at him and back to my eyes. He lowered his head, "Nevermind...". Eddie raised his eyebrow confused, "Okay then..?" he sighed. The day ended very quickly, I rushed home to clean, tossing all of my bloody weapons into my closet, picked up dirty clothes, I did everything I could to hide that I had a 'gross hobby', and I did a pretty damn good job of him. After the stunt I had pulled, I assumed they would come over in fear that I would kill them. To be honest I hope they come, I want to make friends, I smiled to myself, I don't talk much for a reason though, not speaking much means no one will suspect you know anything about anyone or thing for that matter. I'm glad I can hold myself back from going through the whole killing process, saves my skin and my neck. No one will ever know it's me, the only person who would or might is my love, my darling, puppy, my baby, my everything. But until then I must keep a low profile, keep it low like an ankle..because an ankle is 3 feet lower than a cunt, so might as well play dumb. I giggled to myself as I continued to clean. I heard a knock at the door, I checked my watch, 4:20 (aha blazzin') I walked over to the door a margarita in hand. I opened the door to see, 6 boy standing on my front porch, all of them looked somewhat the same, minus the hair styles and stuff. I smiled softly, already shy to finally see him, my lover. I moved out the way to let them in, I took a gulp on my drink to calm my nerves. Once they walked into my house they saw my dining room table, cleared off, the birch wood reflecting the artificial light into their eyes. I had a few of my old DnD binders at my spot, I had also set out a cooler full of drinks, for the children at least while I had a small red cooler next to my chair, it held mixes and all the hard stuff. I hummed to myself as I grabbed 6 glasses. They walked around the house, admiring the aesthetics. I set the drinks down and shoved some chips on the side table.

Best Friend!Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader, some Steve Harrington x Reader
Friends to Lovers trope (Fluff/Angst)
Summary: With your occult club’s big road trip coming up before graduation and prom, Eddie plans to confess his love for you. Only he’ll have to deal with competing for your attention from Steve and other human-shaped obstacles. (8.5k+ words)
Warnings: jealous!eddie, lovesick!eddie, hinted yandere!eddie, hurt and angst, insecurities, soft fluff, pining, idiots in love, boys fighting over reader, ugly duckling/swan reader backstory, mostly from eddie’s perspective, reader nicknamed “baby” or “babe”, one use of (y/n), eventual smut
Dear, stupid fucking heart
Why’d you have to go and make me fall for my best friend?
……
Oh, if only you’d look at him more…then you’d see the way he looks at you. You’d see the yearning in those big brown eyes that borders sorrow at the belief you’d never feel the same.
Yes, he’s willing to endure this pain of unrequited love for the rest of life as long as he tells you how he feels. But the issue of the matter is would he be able to handle everything else? Like the pain of seeing you in the arms of someone else. Or even worse, possibly ruining his friendship with you forever.
So he pitifully pines for you in silence, planning night after night how he’d approach his confession to you. And maybe it’s childish that he’ll remember to mention that he loved you first. But he did love you first. Before any of them. Before you blossomed into the raving beauty you are today.
Eddie saw you when you felt invisible. On days you hated the way you looked, he loved you the most. And whenever you’d let yourself be geeky and unabashed, he’d fall for you all over again.
He. Loved. You. First. Before them all.
They wouldn’t understand your humor, the things you find interesting, the weird hypothetical conversations. They wouldn’t understand you. The real you. But he understands.
So why? Why won’t you look at him?!
Wait, you were looking at him! Did you just say something? Shit! Eddie had been so lost in thought that he hadn’t registered a peep of what you said.
“Huh?” Eddie says.
“Welcome back to Earth. Did you have a nice journey in space?”
“Hardy har har.” He says sarcastically.
“You can’t blame me for teasing,” You giggle. “You’ve been out of it lately. Is everything alright?”
“I’m fine just thinking about this trip.”
He tries to walk ahead of you to keep you from seeing the blush on his face but you quickly take his hand and lead him back to you.
You place your hands on his shoulders, commanding him to look you in your eyes. “Firstly, I wanted to say thank you for going on this trip with me as my plus one. I know how you feel about the gemini twins considering they were big bullies in middle school. But they aren’t …entirely awful anymore. If that sounds remotely convincing.”
“It does not.”
“On to my next point, I guess. Maybe you’re out of it because you know who the twins will be bringing as their plus one. I know that you still have feelings for Chrissy and it’s okay that you do. Strong feelings take time to go away. This could either be an experience of closure or something that may very well bloom.”
He wraps a hand over yours. “I can assure you. I’m so over her. All I care for now is for this to be the best trip ever for the two of us. Especially for you. You’re the trip’s planner and I know how much this means to you for everything to go accordingly.”
“With you as my good luck charm, this should be running smoothly,” You grin, picking up a book of spells from the shelf. “I forgot to thank you for giving me a ride to this occult shop. So, thank you. You’re the fucking best.”
“It’s nothing. You can ask me any time.”
“No but, seriously, you’re the best. I know I’ve been a little annoying asking you to give me a ride all over the place like a goddamn chauffeur since my car fucked up,” You lower the book from your view. “How’s my car doing by the way? Ever figured out the issue?”
“Nope,” Eddie lies. “Still looking for any sign of damage. But don’t worry. You can never annoy me. Except for whenever you sing Cyndi Lauper at the top of your lungs. Then, it’s like ‘Jesus H. Christ, woman, are you trying to kill me?’.”
Another lie. He actually loves it when you do that.
You gawk at him in feigned offense, shoving him playfully. “A girl just wants to have fun, Edward. I should be allowed time after time.”
He snorts. “Referencing her song titles casually in conversation? That’s a new one.”
“Clever, ain’t it?” You wink. “So, what do you think of this spell book? Is it good enough for ‘show and tell’ night?”
“Unless we read anything in there that’ll come true, I doubt anyone would be impressed.”
“Oh, so you don’t think the tickle spell works?” You say, blinking innocently.
“The tickle spell?” Your pure features morph into a sinister smile and Eddie knew he’d walked right into that one. He raises a hand to halt you. “Do not even think about it. I bite.”
“I’ll take the risk.” Your fingers dance around his sides and he begins to giggle like a schoolgirl while cursing you like a sailor.
“S-stop t-that.” He strains between laughter.
“Alright,” You sigh, easing off of him. “Sorry, Eds. I saw an opportunity and had to seize it. You always did say you’re convinced I was a dad in another life.”
“That was mean. You know, I’m very sensitive to that,” He says while still laughing. “What was that for?”
“Because I like your smile and you’re not doing enough of that today.”
Eddie smiles wider, knowing he probably looks goofy but he’s on a high from your words. He leans back against the shelf, tilting his head to one side. “You notice my smile patterns?”
“Of course, I notice. I’m a funny person if you’re not laughing then that hurts my ego.” You quip.
“We don’t want you hurting that now, do we? It’s not like it’s the size of Texas or something.”
“You’re one to talk. You know the saying ‘big ego, little ears’.” You tug on his ears.
“My ears are far from small, sweetheart. Among other things.” He clicks his tongue.
You tug his ears with more force. “There’s that ego showing.”
He brings his hands up to yours, pulling gently. “I showed you mine. Show me yours.”
It felt as if the shelves were closing in around him but in a good way. Like the atmosphere was coming together just so it could push the two of you together. For a second, it looks like you’re looking at him the way he’s always wanted you to. But before he could lean any closer, an unexpected presence interrupts the momentum of his bravado.
“What are you guys doing?” Steve asks with a chuckle.
You look over at him, beaming. “Comparing our egos.”
Peeling off your best friend, you walk over to Steve and the two of you share a quick embrace. Eddie sighs his frustration quietly, pulling himself up from the shelf to greet his close friend.
“Harrington,” Eddie greets as the two clap each other up. “What are you doing here? Didn’t think this type of shit was your scene?”
“Baby invited me.” Steve says, pointing your way.
“Yeah, sorry, Eds. I forgot to mention that Steve’s tagging along with us on the trip,” You explain. “He’s been trying to find something for show and tell, too. So, I invited him to the search with us. Now that Steve’s going on the trip, the twins and Chrissy being there doesn’t seen so bad, huh?”
“Yeah,” Eddie says, trying to disguise the disappointment in his tone. “I’m stoked but…confused. How are you able to go? Robin’s taking Vickie as her plus one.”
“I’m Dustin’s plus one,” Steve replies. “Apparently, his mother trusts me to supervise him on this trip.”
Eddie had forgotten that Dustin joined the occult club in addition to the hellfire club. Dustin had done so after one summer of reading strictly horror comics in which his fascination for lovecraftian creatures and cryptids grew.
“Aww, babysitter Stevie’s back.” You poke fun.
He glares at you, arms crossed. “I thought we retired that title.”
“I thought so, too. Yet here we are,” You fired back. “So what exactly are you looking to impress us with?”
Steve thinks for a moment. “I’m not sure. In fact, I shouldn’t be telling you guys what I’ll be bringing in if I’m going to win.”
“Try all you might, dear, but you’ll never beat me.” You challenge.
“What about you, Eddie? I’m guessing you think you’ll be winning this, too.”
“I’m not doing it, actually. I figured I’d let Baby have her shine in this.”
What seem like an innocent noble act to him was taken as an offensive blow to you.
You quirk up an eyebrow. “It almost sounds like you’re saying that if you were to join show and tell, you’d beat me hands down?”
Steve grimaces. “It does sound a lot like that, buddy.”
“I’m being a gentleman.” Eddie defends.
“Spare me,” You scoff. “I don’t want your pity. I want you to put your money where your mouth is. I’ll see to it that you bring your show and tell item. That way we’ll really see who comes out on top. For now, we’ll split up and we’ll leave our choices as a surprise.”
“Sounds good to me,” Steve says. “You two know much I love a little friendly competition.”
“I’m going to another section of this store. Try not to follow me.” You say in an alluring tone before strutting.
The boys wait until you’re a good enough distance before they began their sparring of words. Unbeknownst to you, some weeks ago, the boys caught on to each other’s feelings for you. Although they’ve mentioned to keep things cordial, as the two viewed one another as brothers, it proves to be quite difficult when they’re always trying to one up each other.
“So…Steve,” Eddie says with a tight smile. “You’re attending the trip. I thought you were passed high school things now that you’re a big college boy and all.”
“I decided I need to be there for my good friend, Dustin.” Steve says, matching Eddie’s polite tone.
“He’s my friend, too, ya know.”
“He was mine first.”
Eddie points at him, narrowing his eyes and smiling.“Got me there, bud. But ya know,” He begins, pacing slowly. “Baby was my friend first. Just to clear that up.”
“What’s your point?”
“Just sayin’,” Eddie shrugs, guiltlessly. “I mean, don’t be surprised during the trip if you don’t have her attention.”
Steve smirks. “Is it that I won’t have her attention or that I won’t take her attention…from you? Because the latter implies that no matter how hard I try, it wouldn’t be enough to take her away from you. But here’s the thing, Munson, I really don’t have to try. I won’t need to have her attention when she’ll already be looking at me.”
“I don’t know, man. Do you really think so? Because if she really were actually paying any attention to you, she’d see how extra swishy your hairs looking today. Looks like that Farrah Fawcett hairspray is really working miracles. You’d think she’d at least compliment the hair.”
“Oh, she’ll notice,” Steve winks. “Give it time.”
The boys exchange heated looks not registering your presence as you peeked your head in the corridor. “Did you guys find what you’re looking for?”
Steve runs his hands through his hair and sighs, “Not quite.”
“Yeah, me neither. Going to keep hunting,” You nearly continue on your way but end up doing a double take instead. “Stevie, you’re putting the ‘hair’ in ‘Harrington’ today! It just looks so glorious. Like Disney prince.”
“You flatter me.” Steve says, smugly.
When you leave, he sends Eddie a ‘told ya so’ look and Eddie fumes to himself. What’s wrong with his hair? Sure, you’ve complimented his hair every now and then but you’ve never compared it to a Disney prince’s hair. That’s a pretty top-tier compliment!
You win this round, Harrington.
——————
After purchasing your findings from the occult shop, you go over to Eddie’s place to help him pack. He’s usually last minute with these things but it never bothers you especially when you get to see his wardrobe. Sometimes, he’d even model them for you.
“Oh, please! Model this hat for me.” You plead, hands clasped.
“You setting me up, woman.” He says, spotting your polaroid camera that you did a poor job of hiding behind you.
“Come on, for me,” You pout, giving your best puppy dog eye. “I won’t take your picture.”
“Fine. But only one outfit. Just let me go into the closet and change really quick.” He grumbles.
After a few moments, he returns out of the closet wearing a Roger Rabbit costume from that one Halloween two years ago when the two of you went as Roger and Jessica Rabbit. You erupt into giggles, holding your stomach as you fell back against the mattress.
“Why?”
“Because I knew it’d make you laugh,” He says, walking over to you. You wait until his face comes in view before you take your camera and snap a picture and he looks at you with a look of stunned betrayal. “You said no pictures.”
“I can’t help it,” You say through your fit of laughter. “Why do you still have that costume?”
He tries to grab the camera from your hands but you move away, going further up the bed. He crawls after you and pulls your legs, dragging you beneath him to get the camera. He loses track of what he was aiming for, looking at you giggling below him. His lower body pressed up against yours.
Your laughter dies on your lips as you stare up at him with doe eyes. He’s breathing hard but not from the rigorous struggle to capture you.
You face heats up and Eddie’s confused as to why you seem so flustered. That is until he shifts his weight above you and feels the heavy and very hard uninvited entity between his legs, poking at your exposed belly.
His cow eyes widen, lips parted as his cheeks paint pink. “Erm—I—It’s not what it—“
You snap another photo of his reaction. “Gotcha.”
He peels off your body, sitting up in a daze while trying to adjust the cartoonish red shorts. You sit up as well, examining the photos with a fond smile. He snaps out of it, glancing over your shoulder to see the results.
“They’re perfect.” You sigh.
“I look like a tweaker.”
“But you’re my little tweaker,” You pinch his cheek. “Besides, this is for my personal collection. Something to cheer me up before I leave for university.”
Oh, right. He’d forgotten about that. Or better yet, he’s been trying to forget. He just couldn’t imagine going over to your place and not seeing you there. If he were smarter, he’d be going with you but he knew he couldn’t get accepted with his grades. He’d only barely made it as a graduate, thanks to the assistance of his friends who never gave up on him.
But of course you were leaving for university. Eddie was the one who encouraged it. Even when you told him that you’d attend community college just to be with him. What kind of friend would he be if he didn’t let you strive for the stars? You wouldn’t have let him settle if Eddie got the deal of a lifetime regarding his music.
So, as the saying goes… if you love someone, let them go.
“I’m really going to miss you.” Eddie says, quietly.
You laugh humorlessly. “Probably not too much since Jeff and Gareth will be staying in town. Then there’s also Steve.”
“They’re all great but…they’re not you,” Eddie admits. “Wanna know why I kept this stupid costume? It’s because it was one of the best Halloween’s for me. We stayed up all night in my trailer getting high, listening to Weird Al, talking about stupid shit that didn’t even matter. I loved that night. And I love…I love…”
He had no issue before telling you that he loved you. But that was when his love for you was a lot more tame in meaning. Now that his love for you burns with the intensity of a thousand suns, he chokes up in fear.
“…I love being around you. You’re my best friend.” He finishes, avoiding your gaze so you couldn’t see him being angry with himself.
He feels the slightest touch on his hand, your fingers curling around it. He swivels his head in your direction, seeing a sincere and loving smile on your face.
“Is it safe to admit that I still have my costume because it was one of the best nights of my life, too?”
He breaks a smile and you do the same, holding each other’s hand in comfortable silence.
——————
5am sky paints like a canvas of dark to milky blues and a tinge of orange in the mix as the sun rose up. Everyone was set to meet on the campus of school around this time.
In one car, there was Steve, Dustin, Robin, and Vickie. In the other were you and Eddie. Both cars pulling up in the lot simultaneously.
You exit the vehicles heading over to greet the girls and Dustin, going on excitedly about what was up on the itinerary for the 2 days. Eddie momentarily greets the group before turning his attention to Steve for yet another showdown.
“Harrington.” Eddie mutters in disdain, arms crossed.
“Munson.” Steve replies in an equally hostile tone.
“Henderson,” Dustin says, cutting in with a finger raised. “What’s with all the testosterone circling between you two? Somebody lost a video game rematch again?”
“Don’t mind us, Henderson,” Steve says, eyes still staring intensely at his rival friend. “Eddie and I are just having a little discussion.”
“You’ve only said one word to each other. If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve assumed you guys are fighting over Baby,” Dustin says, laughing hysterically until he darts his eyes nervously between the boys. “P-please don’t tell me that I’m right.”
You enter the conversation, the girls following after. “Hey guys, what’s with the long faces? Was there a video game rematch that I missed?” You ask, concerned.
“Oh, no. We’re just playing around like we always do. Right, buddy?” Eddie says while ruffling Steve’s hair out of place causing Steve to stare daggers at him.
He plays it off with a laugh, fixing his hair again.“Yeah, just boys being men.”
“Oookay,” You say, puzzled. “Well, it looks like everybody else is running a little lat—oh no, I stand corrected. A few more cars are coming in.”
Eddie recognizes that red Camaro anywhere. But it couldn’t be. What would he be doing on a trip like this? But then he remembered: the douchebag had a little sister. Max.
“Billy fucking Hargrove.” Eddie and Steve say at once then exchange looks with one another.
“The hell’s he doing here?” Steve asks.
“You know this genius,” Robin says. “Max is a part of this club and she really wanted to go on this trip but couldn’t go without trusted supervision so…”
“He’s her plus one.” Eddie finishes with a groan.
Here’s your history with Billy Hargrove. He’s your neighbor. A couple years before you became the ‘beauty bombshell’ you are today, you had a crush him. Eddie knew of this which embarrassed you a bit because Billy wasn’t very nice to you or Eddie back in high school. He was always ignoring you and when he did know of your existence he’d tease you for being so flustered around him. That was until one summer starting your Junior year—him, his senior year—when you came back a whole new person.
Billy loves a challenge and you were definitely going to be one. Not only did you loathe him because you realized how shallow of a male he was but it made it much easier for you to despise him knowing his feud with Steve.
But Eddie knew Billy would stop at nothing to impress you despite him having plenty of options to choose from on this trip.
Max is clearly not in the best mood with her step brother being there. But she cheers up a little when she meets up with the gang.
Billy follows shortly behind with an awkward silence from the gang. Of course, his sights were on you but for now he decides to focus on the man he’d least expected to there.
“Is that King Steve?” Billy says
“Yeah, yeah, It’s me. Don’t cream your pants.” Steve mutters.
“I think you and I are going to get along on this trip. I’m feeling it,” He smirks then turns his attention to you and Eddie. “Well, don’t you both just look so precious. Have you guys finally tied the knot yet?”
Eddie scrunches up his nose in anger ready to fire so harsh words but you were quick with an answer. “Careful. All that hot air you’re filled with will make you fly away some day. Try talking less, maybe.”
“I’m just teasing, Babe. I know Munson could never talk you out of your pants. Hell, he couldn’t even talk you out of a car if it were burning.”
“Why don’t you fuck off, Hargrove? Or do you need somebody’s mom to help do that for you?” Eddie says, referencing Billy’s run-ins of sleeping with married women.
Billy sneers. “I needed a smoke anyway.”
The moment he leaves you drop the mean mug on your face, smiling brightly as you raise a hand for a high five. “We are a snarky pair. Nice touch on the ‘mother fucker’ joke.”
Eddie laughs, high-fiving you. “Mother…fucker? That’s genius, Baby. I don’t know how you come up with these things.”
A few more cars begin to pull in and you recognize them to be Jonathan and Argyle, The Twins and Chrissy, and the remaining of the club which one of member in particular happened to be your ex-boyfriend, Avery Spinelli.
“You didn’t tell me he’d be on the trip,” Eddie whispers. “Will you be okay spending the two days with him?”
“Oh, yeah,” You wave off. “Avery and I are still good friends. We simply just didn’t work out. If I can be in an hour and 30 minute meeting with this guy. 2 days will be nothing.”
You wait until everyone meets in the middle to begin your roll call. Once you were sure everyone was present you began to go over the trip details and itinerary.
“Good morning, everyone! I love seeing those smiling faces,” You pause for a moment, glancing at the group who all looked equally exhausted and annoyed. You swallowed hard, shifting awkwardly. “Ok, I can see that we’re not all fully awake yet. That’s fine because you will be once we get to Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Of course, that’ll be in about 9 hours, but at least this’ll allow us the chance to get to know one another more intimately.”
“That’s cool and all, dudette, but I’ve got a girlfriend that’ll kill me if I do anything like that.” Argyle says.
“Intimate as in personal, Aggy,” You explain. “Nothing sexual in nature. There are children present.”
“Mother says I’m a little man.” Dustin pouts.
“You’re not helping your case.” Max says, patting his shoulder.
“Onto the main focus of this trip,” You continue. “There’s a reason why I chose Point Pleasant. Specifically, because of Mothman sightings. We’re going to share a cabin in the woods where we’ll get to see whether or not it exists. On Day 2, we’ll be going to the cornfield to spot mysterious alien crop circles. It’s going to be a blast! Ava and Ida, would you girls like to add anything?”
“Yes,” Ava steps to the front. “This will also be a very healing experience. We’re going to really tap into the spiritual side of ourselves because in order to connect with the world of occultism, we must look within ourselves first.”
“Oh, brother.” Eddie mutters to himself, possibly too loud.
“I’m sorry, Munson. Did you like to add anything?” Ava says, bringing all eyes on him.
Eddie clears his throat awkwardly, steps up from the circle. “I just wanted to bring up an interesting fact about the cabin. Someone was murdered in one of the rooms there. Good luck finding which one.”
He steps back into place and the group is silent for a moment. You break the silence. “T-thank you for that heads up, Eddie. Well, we should be hitting the road now. There’s 15 of us. I’m thinking we carpool so there are less cars. Eddie and Argyle suggested that they’ll be taking their vans. Billy’s taking his own car as well. Which leaves the RV. A big thank you to Avery for bringing his dad’s RV. It’s perfect for carrying at least the majority of us.”
“Anything for you, Babygirl.” Avery winks.
Eddie seethes. The nerve of him to address you so casually. As if he still had you. By the look on your face, Eddie understood that you were just as confused at the sudden nickname. Usually, people just called you ‘Baby’ simply because of how kind you were but Avery thought he was just sooo clever calling you ‘Babygirl’ like it was any deviation from the original nickname.
“Dustin and I will be riding with you guys,” Steve says to you, watching Eddie’s reaction from the corner of his eye. “Robin and Vickie are going with Argyle for ‘herbalist enthusiasts’ reasons.”
Eddie almost forgot about obstacle #1. He was so caught up with the men that could potentially set their sights on you that he ignored the one who’s actively doing so.
“Maybe I should switch cars.” You joke.
“You’d never leave me.” Eddie scoffs.
“True, but that’s only because you’re terrible at reading a map.” You tap his nose before skipping away.
“I can totally read a map!”
“No, you can’t.” Steve and Dustin say simultaneously, jolting Eddie in surprise.
—————
“Bullshit! Bigfoot would annihilate Mothman,” Dustin argues. “Are you serious? Mothman? Because he has wings? Bigfoot would rip those clean off.”
“Mothman can carry Bigfoot in the air, drop him and turn him into a pancake,” You challenge. “Meanwhile all Bigfoot does is hide. Probably because he can’t fight.“
“Bros, help us settle this thing. This girl has no idea what she’s talking about. Eddie, what’s your pick?”
“I’ll have to go with Mothman, too. She’s made some pretty valid points.” Eddie shrugs.
“Thank you, Eds.” You smirk at Dustin. Meanwhile, Eddie sticks his tongue out at Steve through the reflection of his rearview mirror.
“Of course you would.” Dustin glares at Eddie.
“I actually think it would be Bigfoot that wins. He’s hiding because he’s working on some gains, obviously. Dude’s hiding a six-pack under all that fur. Mothman’s got the physique but no strength. Take it from me. I was an athlete so…” Steve finishes.
Dustin raises a chin smugly at you.
“Very valid point, Stevie. I’ll admit defeat,” You say, turning in your seat to bow your hands up and down. “All hail, King Steve and Sir Dustin.”
You sit back in place and Steve repays Eddie’s taunting, raising a middle finger the moment Eddie looks into the mirror.
“So what’s the first thing we’ll be doing today?” Steve asks you.
You read out the schedule in your planner. “We’ll meet up at the cabin, put our things away. And then we’re going to explore the haunted chapel.”
“A haunted chapel? I think I heard another interesting fact about a particular ghost that lives there. People say it’s a type of ghost so powerful when it possesses you, you begin to shake violently.” Eddie says.
Your eyes become the size of saucers. “Oh my god! What kind of ghost is that?”
“The holy ghost.”
Breaking your fearful stare, you laugh hysterically. “That was such a dad joke. I thought those were my thing.”
“I can be funny, too.” He laughs.
After hours upon hours of driving, Eddie could feel himself tiring out from staring at the road too long. You catch on to his sluggish reaction times, his silence noticeably missing from the group’s conversation. Feeling concerned for everyone’s safety, you address the situation.
“You’d like for me to drive?” You offer.
Eddie waves off your concerns. “I’m great. I’ve driven cross country in 2 days to meet with a producer who gave me a handshake along with a signed Metallica CD and sent me on my dirtbag way. This is nothing.”
“But you look so tired.”
“I could drive.” Steve says.
“I’m not letting you near my baby.” Eddie says, defensively. He blinks fast, eyes wide like a deer in headlights at the possibility of being taken out of context. “I meant like not letting you drive my van…who is like a baby…to me.”
Steve mouths a ‘Nice save’ to him.
“Eddie, please,” You pout, shaking him lightly. “You need rest. You wouldn’t want to risk getting anyone like Dustin hurt, would you?”
“No, I wouldn’t.” He sighs, reluctantly parking the car off to the side and the cars following do the same.
“Thank you,” You pat his hand. “You can go ahead and switch seats with Steve.”
“You’ll come to the back with me, right?” Eddie asks with pleading eyes.
“I’ll need help with the map, too. Sorry,” Steve shrugs. “You’ve got Dustin to keep you company, though.”
Eddie turns to look at Dustin who smiles a red smile at the metalhead, teeth and mouth red from the cherry popsicle he’d gotten from a rest stop.
Eddie exhales grumpily. “Alright. But you’re sharing whatever snack you’ve got in that gigantic backpack you’re carrying.”
“Even the strudel?” Dustin whines.
“Is that even a question? Now move over, I’m diving in.” Eddie says, pulling off his seatbelt to crawl over the console into the back.
“At least wait until I’m out of the seat.” Steve grumbles, struggling to exit the van while dodging Eddie’s wild movements. He takes his place in the front seat, locking in his seatbelt to see you watching him in content.
“Hey, cell mate 3027, looking cool.” You smirk.
“Right back at ya, 3026.”
The two of you had a little insider due to your family’s ending up in the same hotel for a holiday vacation. His room was 3027 and yours 3026.
It was your sophomore year and you only knew Steve as kind of a jerk. But by his junior, his attitude improved and on your family’s vacation, when you’d spotted him, he was kind enough to say ‘hi’ despite you being considered a ‘loser’. He’d even give you the cellmate nickname whenever he ran into you and it stuck ever since. When Eddie and Steve became friends a little after Steve graduated, your bond grew from there.
A tap on the window alerts everyone to look in the passenger window.
Billy Hargrove.
You groan your frustration and lower the window.
“Everything okay?” He asks.
“Yeah,” You say dismissively, your arms crossed. “We just switched drivers because it’s a long drive.”
“You’re thinkin’ smart and safe. I like that,” Billy praises. “That’s why you’re in charge.”
“Whatever.” You roll your eyes.
“You know, I’m really glad to be here,” He leans in. “I could use the time to really be one with nature and challenge my world view. Max invited me out of obligation and I was pretty bummed at first. Then, I heard you’d be here and I don’t know…somehow it made me feel okay.”
You snort. “Why? I don’t even like you or could even stand to talk to you.”
“Yeah, but I’d like change that. I don’t know what it is about you lately, Sassy… but I can’t get you out of my head. I’m thinking it’s divine intervention that I’m here with you instead of anywhere else. Maybe I can make things right between us.”
Your face heats up at the deep richness of voice. You avoid his gaze, crossing your arms and he smirks as if he’d won a prize. The smooth bastard.
Steve rolls his eyes and says, “You can go now, Hargrove. We’re all good here.”
Tumblr media
“Understandable,” He says, tapping the side of the van. “Guess I’ll be seeing you again at the cabin.”
You remain silent, glaring at him.
He chuckles, nodding. “I’ll get you to warm up to me eventually.”
He walks off and you let out a breath you weren’t sure you held. He just made you so tense sometimes that you couldn’t help but to go stiff. You had to admit though…he has a way with words, knowing just what to say to make you feel little flutters in your tummy.
But if you could see what went on in Eddie’s mind you’d see how much more intense and visceral his reaction to Billy is compared to yours. He wanted to go after the bastard. He taps HIS van?! Then proceeds to flirt with the love of his life right in front of him?!
The disrespect Eddie experienced today was enough to become murderous. Steve’s expression held up no better. He was furious, gripping the steering wheel for dear life as he continues on to the road.
But then you reach a hand up, rubbing his arm to comfort him. “Hey, that must’ve been so tough for you. Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m okay now. You know about how he kicked my ass because he was so obsessed about being better than me and taking my title as ‘King of Hawkins High’ whatever the hell that means?”
“Yeah, I heard about it. I was out sick that day. You know how they always say you miss out on all the drama when your absent,” You giggle. “I’m sure you held your own that day. Your pretty face is still intact.”
“You think my face is pretty?” Steve laughs.
“Yeah,” You nod. “I’d be blind if I didn’t.”
“What about me?” Eddie says, scooting up so that you can see him at your side. “I ain’t much to look at but—“
“Not much to look at? Dude…I’m always staring at you. All the time,” You admit. “You’ve got the prettiest eyes. I always tell you how jealous I am of them. You’re all so pretty. Especially the cutie in the back named Dustin.”
Dustin twiddles with his fingers bashfully. “My Suzie says I’m a 10.”
“That girl’s got taste.” You praise.
Eddie couldn’t care at all that you called Steve a pretty face. Not when you’ve just admitted that you look at him, too. Maybe not exactly how he hoped but it’s close enough.
“Sucks that Max couldn’t join us. Imagine having to spend 9 hours with Billy. Woof!” You cringe. “To think I had a crush on that guy.”
“I tried talking some sense into you.” Eddie says.
“Well, if ever you find me hanging around him—please, oh, please—take me away.”
“Gladly!” The three boys say in unison, confusion settling around.
————
After sometime, Dustin and you had fallen asleep during the car ride, leaving the men to become more acquainted with one another.
“Why are you suddenly into her? You never gave her a second glance?” Eddie inquires.
“Of course I didn’t. I hardly seen her at all. Our paths just never aligned to be around each other as much we do now. I’ve gotten to know her and now I like her.”
“What about Nancy? Thought you were trying to win her back?”
“Nancy and I have been over for so long. What about you? Don’t you have a thing for cheerleaders or something?”
“Chrissy was just a little crush. We all have ‘em. Doesn’t make us tied at the hip? But I’m wiser. I know what I want. I want Baby. It’s always been her. So, you should just forget about taking her from me? Because she’s already mine.”
“You wish. I’ll stop at nothing to make her mine.”
“Neither will I.”
“May I suggest something?” Dustin says, raising his head.
“Jesus!” Eddie jolts up. “Weren’t you asleep?”
“I usually wake up to the sound of a challenge. And it looks like you two are in need of settling this shit. But your going to compete for her heart, you’ll first have to knock out all the competition.
First contender: The Crush a.k.a. Billy Hargrove, psychotic douchebag turned ‘changed’ man.”
“Former…crush,” Eddie emphasizes. “She hates his guts now so he’s nothing to worry about.”
“Au contraire,” Dustin says. “Hargrove’s a prick but he’s got a way with words that’ll make any girl weak. Baby’s pretty strong but she’s only human. Word on the street is: never let your girl see him doing manual labor less you want to lose her forever.”
“Goddamn.” Eddie says, lost for words.
“Second contender: The Ex a.k.a. Avery Spinelli, astrology buff who has an affinity for women he believes are his soulmates. A girl could never really shake of her ex, now can she? And I hear he’s looking to ask Baby to prom and possibly to be his girlfriend again.”
“Wait, how are you knowing all of this?” Steve questions.
“I’m around a lot of girls in that club, okay?” He mutters, embarrassed. “Avery’s planning getting her to take him back with his show & tell performance. He told her it was a magic hat performance but it’s really just a promposal.”
“I knew I didn’t trust him!” Eddie shouts.
“Shhh,” Steve puts a finger to his lips, glancing for a moment to see you stir a little in your seat. “You’ll wake her. But fuck that guy.”
“Yeah, fuck that guy.” Eddie whisper-yells.
“Focus, amigos,” Dustin sighs. “Lastly, we have—-
“It’s Argyle isn’t it?” Eddie says. “The true himbo.”
“He’s a favorite among the ladies for sure but he’s dating Suzie’s older sister, Eden. And they’re real serious,” Dustin begins. “The Third Contender is actually The Potential a.k.a….Jonathan Byers.”
“Jonathan?!” The two men say in shock.
“Yep. According to Will and Mike, Jonathan and Nancy are on a break.”
“Holy shit.” Steve says.
“But him?” Eddie asks.
“Jonathan and (y/n) both love photography and conspiracies. Sometimes during club meeting, they’d have 1 on 1 deep conversations. Even before Jonathan and Nancy went on their break…I sensed a connection with those two. I doubt Jonathan will make any move on her, though. But from my perspective, it looks like she digs him heavily. El says she heard them talking on the phone one night.”
“Y-yeah, but Baby told me it was only because they had a school project together.” Eddie says.
“Do you know what happens when two hormonal teenagers are in close proximity?” Dustin asks rhetorically. “For all we know, they’re looking at each other in a whole new light.”
“Oh, shiiit.” Eddie groans.
“If you guys wanna get to her, you’ll have to go through them. It’s the only way,” Dustin explains. “Once their out of the way, it’ll be so much easier for her to make her decision. In fact, I’d like to add some stakes.”
“Uh-oh.” Eddie says.
“‘Uh-oh’ is right,” Dustin smiles wickedly. “Instead of confessing your feelings to her, you both should get her to confess to you first. That way for sure you’ll know who she truly has feelings for. She has to say it on her own will so you can’t ask her to say it. No sexual contact of any kind, you heathens. If either of you confess or make sexual contact before she make the move, that’s breaking the rules. And breaking the rules means punishment: a haircut!”
“Whoooa.” Steve disapproves.
“That’s just brutal.” Eddie says.
“What? You guys chicken? If you’re really that good at seducing girls, then there shouldn’t be a problem getting her to say it. Or…you can admit defeat claiming that neither of you have game.”
“Someone’s getting a little big for their britches.” Steve criticizes.
Eddie nods. “It’s his tone, right?”
“You dickheads in or not?” Dustin wages.
“I’m in.” Steve says.
“I’m in, too. This’ll be a piece of cake. Baby’s told me she liked me plenty of times before.” Eddie says, smugly.
“So do sisters to their brothers.” Steve retorts.
“Did you just brother-zoned me on her behalf?”
“It’s clear as day that it’s what she meant by it. You’d have to be brain dead to not know.”
“You’ve got some nerve…”
“Oh, I really do…”
Dustin shakes his head at the obnoxious men, placing his headphones on his head and going back to sleep.
———————
You board off the van and intake the fresh air around you. After 9 hours, you’d made it to the cabin and it was still bright out to do the planned activities of the day.
“Change of plans, everyone,” Co-Club president Ida says, standing in front of the huddled circle. “Scratch the chapel plans. My twin sis, Ava, just got off the phone with the police. Apparently, there’s a whole investigation ongoing regarding a secret fight club being held there. So instead Baby, our trip organizer, what else do you have planned for us? Hopefully, something less ‘mercury in retrograde’ kind of fuck up.”
You clenched teeth in a faux smile. “Thank you, Ida. And, no, this isn’t a fuck up yet,” You take the front. “Today, we should just relax. It’s our first day here in Point Pleasant so let’s make the most of it and enjoy the environment. I was reading the map and it looks like we’re nearby the cornfield so if we’re feeling up to it tonight, we can simply walk there. Maybe see some alien activity.”
“Hexcellent idea, Babes. I knew I was right to put you in charge,” Ava says, patting your back. “Maybe try a crystal healing bath to connect you with your guiding spirit, though. We don’t want any more bumps in the road for this trip, now do we?”
“Okay.” You try to swallow then nasty words you had to say to her.
“I’m lovin this so far,” Argyle says. “Little chillaxing here and there. Then at night, we get to hang with the aliens. I’m thinking they’ll be really vibey because they’re not held down by societal constructs like we are.”
“That’s so genius, man. How do you think of this shit?” Jonathan laughs.
“It just comes to me, bro.” Argyle says.
You take the joint from behind Argyle’s ear. “How high are you?”
“No, no. It’s ‘Hi, how are you?’, dude,” Argyle says, petting your head. “It’s okay. That one’s always a big tongue twister for me, too.”
You shake your head in bewilderment. “Let’s put our bags away so we can have some fun. I’m thinking we do show & tell in a couple hours.”
“Last one there gets the haunted bedroom.” Robin says, rushing past with her bags and Vickie follows after giggling hysterically.
The group races into the log home, claiming their bedrooms. While Eddie busies himself with unloading his duffel bag, he hears a light tap and turns to see you leaning on one side of the frame.
“Hi.” You say.
“Hey.” He says with a circling wave.
“Looks like you’ve found your room.”
“Yes, I did. But is it what I wanted? Well, that’s debatable,” He sighs. “I’m paired with your ex-boyfriend. Yeah, he’s a real hoot. He told me he knows when and how I’ll die based off of my birth chart so that’s fun.”
“Least you didn’t date him. Used to tell me he knew when I’d lose my virginity to him and somehow that line worked on me,” You laugh. “On the bright side, you don’t have a roommate like mine. Moon claims she’s a witch who died in the Salem trials and has been reborn. Which isn’t too bad until you realize that sometimes she likes the room’s temperature to be near burning hot. She says it reminds her to avenge her fallen sisters.”
“And yet I’m considered a freak?” He huffs, sitting on the edge of his bed. “Strange that the popular kids are looking to infiltrate our spaces, though? Billy…the twins running an occult club…what is happening?”
“Yeah, I know. But I guess popularity thing isn’t everything,” You sit beside him throwing your legs over his lap. “I think they’re finally starting to understand that freaks like us do whatever we like and have all the fun doing it, too.”
“What about that Steve Harrington, huh? I would have never expect him to come here. Hell, I’ve been trying to get him to go to just one hellfire campaign for literally a year now.” He laughs through his restrained anger.
“Yeah, it is a little strange,” You say in a suspicious tone. “But I’m glad he’s here. I’d like for all my friends to be here. Especially since it might be my last trip with you guys in a while.”
Every time he’s reminded of you leaving, he becomes physically ill. He pushes the inevitable away. Just a little more time.
You sit beside him, taking his hand in yours. “I know you only came because you knew it’d make me happy so again…thank you for being here.”
There’s his heart going crazy again. His palms are for sure sweaty but you don’t pull away.
“I’d do anything for you.” He says.
“Me too,” You rub a hand on his thigh. “You’re a true friend.”
His heart shatters. True Friend? No! He doesn’t want to be seen as your friend. He wants you! Why can’t you see that?!
He swallows the hard lump in his throat and whispers, “Yeah, friend.”
Your phone dings for a text message notification. Peering at the message, a cheshire grin spreads across your face.
“Oh my god! Look at this cute ass picture!” You show Eddie. It was an image of Robin, Vickie, Dustin and Max relaxing in the lake on the cutesy floaties that Vickie had brought with her for the trip. “I have to claim my floatie now.”
You stand on your feet, pulling off your tank top and Eddie’s forced out of his funk to gaze upon your beauty. You then remove your jeans, revealing your full white bikini. He shuts his parted mouth to keep from drooling and uses the little strength he has left to keep himself nailed to the bed and not pounce at you.
You were glowing. Eddie’s seen you in a bikini before but through the eyes of love had a whole new meaning. He found himself wanting to count every freckle on your body and kiss every part you felt was imperfect. If only you’d give him the chance to kiss the soft, supple skin of your thighs.
He hadn’t noticed that he’d been fiddling with the chain around his wrist, his hands mindlessly doing so to cope and hold himself down. He accidentally pulls it up and off causing it to scatter across the room.
“Oh shit. Sorry, I’ll get that.”
“No, don’t worry,” You push down on his shoulders. “I’ll get it.”
You were trying to kill him. That was it. Because you had no business, bending over in front of him the way you did to collect the wristband. Yet, here you were with your vivaciousness and plump ass that he could very well bury himself deep into and do unspeakable things to your body.
He couldn’t take it. He needed to have you. Without thinking, Eddie shoots up from the bed, striding over to you like a hungry lion on the verge of capturing his prey. But then he came along.
You straighten up, smiling at the intruder. “You’re in your trunks. Loving the chest hair. I bet the girls were all over you.”
Steve cheeks raises a shade pinker. As if the sight of you in a bikini wasn’t already overwhelming, you go and compliment him once again. “T-thanks.”
He stalks closer and instinctively you walk backwards to give him his space but he resumes forward.
“I was just telling Eddie about the float-oop!” You walk back into Eddie’s chest, laughing nervously. “When’d you get behind me?”
“Yeah, Eds. When? You weren’t thinking of doing something naughty, were you?” Steve questions, catching on to Eddie’s aroused state.
You tilt your head up and back to look at your best friend. “You were trying to come up behind me and scare me, huh?”
“Ya got me.” Eddie laughs nervously then clears his throat.
“You’re a naughty boy, indeed, Munson.” You say, poking his tummy.
Eddie’s already agitated that Steve decided to barge in but now your ex decides to enter the room as well.
“Hey, Babygirl, I was looking all over for you,” Avery says, while taking in the sight of you sandwiched between Eddie and Steve. His eyes dart between the three of you suspiciously. “Did I interrupt something?”
“Not at all,” You reply. “Was there a specific reason for why you were looking for me?”
“Yes, actually,” Avery goes to reach for something out of frame near the doorway. He pulls out a giant floatie in the style of a sunflower, putting it down in front of him. “I made sure to claim one for you because I know how much you like them. It’s even shaped like your favorite flower.”
“You remembered?” You say in surprise.
“I remember everything about you. So…you wanna go out to the lake together and try it out.”
“Oh, I was actually going to wait until Eddie’s gotten dressed first before—“
“He’ll be fine. Come on. You don’t want to miss out on the fun. Robin and Vickie’s been asking for you.” Avery eggs on.
You look over to Eddie. “You wouldn’t mind if I went down now, would you?”
“Of course not,” Eddie lies. “Go on. I’ll meet you in no time.”
You smile. “Great! See you there! Steve, ya comin’?”
“I’ll be right there. You go on for now.”
You nod then excitedly smile at Avery and he does the most fury-inducing thing in Eddie and Steve’s presence. He takes your hand. The other carries your floatie as the two of you exit the room.
“That fucker,” Steve hisses. “We have to get rid of that guy.”
“Get rid or get rid?” Eddie says emphasizing the difference in contexts. “Because at this point I’m down for whatever option.”
Steve looks at him with concern. “No more mafia movies for you.”
Dustin enters. “What are you fools doing up here? Baby’s down at the lake.”
“We’re trying to come up with a plan to get Spinelli out of the picture.” Eddie explains.
“Yeah, I seen them holding hands down there,” Dustin says while shaking his head in disappointment. “It’s looking rough for you guys.”
“You know the guy, Dustin. How do we stop him?” Steve says.
“All I know is that this dude’s very superstitious. He believes in omens and fortunes and all that make believe shit. How do we scare a guy that’s only afraid of things that don’t exist?”
A slow wicked smile dawns upon Eddie’s face. “I think my Show N’ Tell performance is going to be even more interesting than I anticipated.”
“What’s your plan?” Steve asks.
Eddie smirks, eyes playfully dark. “Don’t you worry. Just sit back and enjoy the show.”

Nowhere to run

Ghostface!Eddie Munson x Reader
𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘: Nowhere to run. but you kept doing it. Eddie was there with you though. But running away from the problem you created seems too easy, don't you think?
𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒: Yandere!Ghostface!Eddie, Lovesick!Eddie, fem!reader, family issue, toxic relationship, knife, murder, jealousy, manipolation, chasing, angst, bad ending.
𝐀/𝐍: So. Bringing a smut with Eddie Ghostface seemed too corny. I tried something that works better for me. Hope you like it. Sorry about my English, this is not my native language. Support and reblog! (DIVIDER NOT MINE)
Tumblr media
You ran through an isolated parking lot and, recognizing the place, you realized that you were close to your home. You looked over your shoulder to see if he was still behind you.
You were in total panic, you were crying and you wished this was just a simple nightmare.
You heard the heavy footsteps of his boots and you sped up your run until you arrived in front of your door. You opened it and locked it, locking the locks attached to the door as well. You wasted no time, you went upstairs and hide inside your large closet, hoping he wouldn't find you.
You were chased. But not from just any person you might find on the street, but from Eddie Munson. He was a boy in his late twenties who still attended the same school as you due to his failing grades. He had a low reputation and was called a freak along with his friends. Even though he had a scary appearance, he was actually a boy with a heart of gold. You knew it very well. You knew him. And what's more, you were dating. You were engaged. So why?
You wished you knew.
But you thought this was triggered because of you. You were his girlfriend, his first girlfriend to be precise, and as such, he was afraid of doing something wrong with you. In short, the little complexes you have when you start a relationship, but he had overcome this complex, and you knew it very well, you had helped him. You had always been so available to him and Eddie did the same thing to you. But your boyfriend, beyond this, was in love with you, he was really in love with you, to the point of madness. He was overprotective and jealous to say the least of other guys who got close to you.
You never said anything, but apparently you should have. Eddie started acting strange and you always felt a bad feeling. But you trusted him, so you let it go again. One night, though, you caught him coming home in his Halloween outfit, Ghostface. A ruthless serial killer with a white mask that is nothing short of frightening. He had taken off his mask while carrying someone's body.
Jason Carver.
Jason Carver lately, he wanted to give trouble to the metalhead, playing tasteless games on you or he approached you and made fun of you by flirting with you. All to make Eddie jealous, and therefore annoy him. He had always done it with him. Jason and Eddie hated each other because they were opposites. But both never raised their hands. Eddie didn't like this kind of thing unless he had to, but he always thought that if he got into a fight with anyone he would lose from the start. He wasn't incredibly strong like Jason, but that didn't matter to you. But that night you changed your mind.
He had killed him.
And you were paralyzed as soon as he saw you.
You remained in that corner without saying anything while he, with his costume full of blood, tried to justify himself and explain the situation.
You remained silent. Nodding.
But then you ran away. It was as if you realized what had happened that very evening. After two days you decided to go home but he chased you and you panicked.
He had entered. Now there's no turning back.
His boots could be heard on the wooden floor.
"Sweetheart..." He said teasingly. He was in your room, you caught a glimpse of his Ghostface costume as he held a sharp blade.
Your tears continued to fall.
It was your fault. You had transformed him.
"Please come out, I don't want to hurt you. I would never hurt you."
Was it true?
Eddie always said and stated that he would never lay a finger on you, because he loved you. But you were afraid...
Was it the right thing to do? Did you have to stay hidden? Or come out and pray Eddie figures out why you're running away?
You didn't know.
But your instincts suggested staying in the closet.
Eddie, after checking under the bed and the rest of the room, left. From the various sounds you could guess that he was going to your parents' room. Your parents weren't there that evening and neither were your brothers and sisters, you were a large family, but no one was present in the house this evening. Such misfortune was truly unheard of. You came out of your hiding place and ran towards the front door. As dangerous as the situation was, you didn't want to report Eddie. You loved him after all. You wanted to go out and think clearly and think about what to do to make your now crazy boyfriend see reason.
You were in front of the door but you clumsily tripped and fell down the stairs and a searing pain shot into your leg making you scream. It wasn't broken, but you took a chance, it was definitely fractured or something, but the worst thing was that every single movement of your leg hurt. You were done for.
You cried again and again and Eddie walked down the stairs at a slow pace.
He bowed, looking at your tear-filled face as you trembled.
“Shhh…” He hissed as he brushed against your injured leg making you gasp. The metalhead wrapped his arms around you hugging you "That's why you don't have to run away sweetie, otherwise you'll hurt yourself. And you know how sad it makes me to see you in this state" he said as he put the blade down on you and picked you up.
You continued to cry and sniff as you felt Eddie's latex gloves caressing your hair.
"Why don't we go home? So we can treat this leg and explain to me why you ran away?" He proposed as your head was pressed into his chest, you couldn't do anything else. You gasped and sobbed in response.
"Come on pretty girl, don't cry, everything will be fine..." he said taking you upstairs, more precisely to your room. He made you lay down and he sat next to you staring at you for a while.
He took off his mask revealing his brown curls "Now let's do this. If you tell me now why you ran away, I will heal your leg" he proposed. Was he a threat by any chance? Not very likely. Eddie would have treated you anyway, this is because he doesn't want to make you suffer, but certainly when he wants to know something he will always try to make you spit it out.
Unfortunately you couldn't even form a sentence due to the pain and crying. So Eddie sat on the bed next to your face caressing it "Baby, stop crying, nothing happened, you just hurt yourself. If you want it to go away you have to calm down, okay?" His tone was soft, which made Eddie even crazier than he already was. Was he manipulating you by any chance? Or was he sincere? Too many questions and zero answers. Your head was a total mess and you just wanted to regain control. You listened to him. You took deep breaths and he smiled at you "That's right. Good girl" He praised you then placed a light kiss on your forehead.
“I-I’m sorry…” you apologized.
"It's okay baby. Don't worry. If you ran away, was it because I accidentally scared you?" He asked and you nodded "Aw, I'm so sorry sweetheart, I didn't mean to. I'll try not to scare you anymore, okay?" You nodded again as more tears rolled down your face.
You missed him. You missed old Eddie. That bastard rabbit heart that was scared of even his own shadow, even if he didn't show it. You missed that boy who pestered you with Lord of the Rings and Dangeon & Dragons all day. You missed Eddie. Edward Munson. The boy you were so in love with. But now he had become an Eddie with a boundless love for you and a murderous madness if anyone dared to touch you.
It was your fault.
Eddie bandaged your leg trying to ease your pain. Your leg hurt but not like before so you felt slightly better "I love you so much sweetheart" he said picking you up again and planting a kiss on your forehead "Me too..." You answered sincerely. Your life had now changed and now the only thing you could do was hope that you could change Eddie. And if you didn't succeed, well then you deserved it. After all, your parents were right.
"You only bring trouble and turn even the best souls into monsters just like you"
Insignificant words. But real today. They were right to think of you this way, they were right to not love you, they were right to belittle you because ultimately this is who you were. A monster who transformed others. This was your destiny, nowhere to run.

spoiled!meangirl!reader ignoring obsessed!eddie because he forgot to bring her coffee so now she is in a bad mood😭
“‘m sorry, baby!” eddie pleads as you look in the small mirror that is hanging in your locker; fixing your makeup and hair. you close your locker, rolling your eyes and taking your purse from eddie as the bell rings for your sixth period. “please-- i- i won’t forget again, princess. i hate it when you get mad at me, please talk to me? jus’---gimme a kiss at least?”
you hadn’t talked to him for a good four hours today, and it was driving him insane. he didn’t mean to forget to bring your coffee, he was too focused gathering his money together to buy you clothes.
you turn around, pouting and huffing as you stand on your tippy toes, your little heels already giving you height as eddie rubs his left hand over your skirt-cladded butt, his eyes full of desperation before you give him a soft but hard kiss, your lipgloss staining his soft lips as you pull away.
“thank you, baby,” he sighs, resting his head between the crook of your neck and shoulder, tilting his head slightly to kiss your jaw then your pulse point. “i love you.” he whispers breathily, your smell overtaking his senses, making him feel weak, he groans quietly, rubbing his hands over your body slowly.
“..love you too,” you mutter stubbornly, and he pulls you in for a hug, your right ear pressed against his chest as eddie’s right arm wraps around your waist, his left hand brushing your hair from your face, secretly thanking the universe for gifting you to him. you move to rest your chin on his chest, tracing your doe eyes over his features, and the tens of hickeys you gave him on his neck and peeking out from the collar of his shirt making him impossibly more pretty.
he smiles, cupping your face with his left hand as he cranes his neck down to kiss your lips a few times. “d’you forgive me?” he asks against your mouth, breath minty and sweet (and addicting).
“whatever..” you murmur, and eddie sighs softly, knowing that that’s your way of forgiving him as he brings you in for a bigger kiss, tongue messily massaging yours as he hums against your lips.
he will make it up to you.

Yandere!Possessive!Eddie drugging your drink <3 You've been wanting to go to that one party for the LONGEST time, and he keeps insisting that it's not a good idea! It can be dangerous! It's not a good crowd! Stop accusing him of being jealous he's not jealous he's just worried for you.
Of course you're close, but you're not super super close (yet) so he can't stop you from going full stop, but he can give you a lesson. He'll go to the party with you with the excuse of "taking care of you", roofie the drink he's making for you, leave it in your hands, and leave for the bathroom "for just a sec babes" with a warning to not let anything happen to you while he's gone.
Sure you'll laugh thinking he's joking, you'll roll your eyes and maybe even give him a little push, and he'll count the seconds with his wristwatch while locked inside the bathroom until the drugs start to take effect. He'll stroll back in the room, smiling charming and nonchalant, just as you start to get dizzy and disoriented, just in time for him to run to you, catch you heroically before you fall to the floor, and just in time for you to remember the scene, for you to remember the feeling of safety you felt as you saw him appear through the crowd.
God knows what he does to you while you're knocked out. In any case, you don't suspect anything: You wake up in his bed, dressed in his shirt and shorts, and thank your lucky stars it was Eddie who found you and not some other creep. Thank god Eddie agrees not to tell your parents what happened to you, they'd never let you out of the house again.
Eddie asks you what makes you think he will ever let you out of the house again. You're so thankful he's trying to get you to laugh. <3
i’ve been holding onto this for the past couple of days and just rereading because it’s so 😵‍💫😵‍💫
