I don't understand why you and other 'famous vegans' are supporting and promoting Ben and jerrys new vegan ice cream. Ben and jerrys, although they might be selling some vegan ice cream now is through and through a DAIRY ICECREAM BRAND. Their sole business is using dairy in their ice cream. By buying their vegan ice cream, you're literally just supporting and giving more money to another greedy corporate company that is just using the vegan name to make more $$$ & doesn't actually give a shit.

So does that mean I shouldn’t buy vegan options from Coles or Woolworths? Or what about buying the vegan burger at gill’d, or the vegan burrito at mad mex? All of these places are predominantly NOT vegan, and most of their profit comes from animal products… ??

Your argument is extremely flawed, we NEED to support all new vegan items because…

A) it shows people how easy it really is to be vegan, now that Ben and jerry’s have released a vegan ice cream people won’t feel as though they are missing out on anything!! The more vegan choice the better.

B) supporting the vegan option will only show the company how popular the vegan item is!! Meaning they may make more and more and less and less dairy options. That’s how companies go completely vegan. Two restaurants in Sydney have gone completely vegan this year after seeing how popular the vegan options were. Now if we used your logic and not eaten there… Then they would have definitely continued to sell meat and dairy. ❌

You really need to open your mind and see the positives out of this!! You’re not going to turn anyone vegan by having such a negative mindset, and saying they can ONLY eat from 100% vegan corporations….that purist mindset will only put people off because it’s way too hard! Now every time someone goes into Ben and Jerry’s they have the choice to choose a cruelty free, HEALTHY vegan option!! That’s fucking incredible !
