His hand, a minute ago so capable and steady when saving a life, trembled slightly in Sylar's. “Thank you.” Perplexed, the killer glanced at Peter's face. Before remembering he'd been actively avoiding making such a mistake.

Stranded in the wilderness, Sylar begins to reconsider his previous stance: perhaps some heroic deeds can exist without personal gain?

Is it a coincidence that they're my two fave ships ever? And that Bryan Fuller had a hand in making both? (I see what you did there, Bryan XP)

It almost feels like Petlar was the seed of an idea that didn't get to have as much sole focus as it should have when sharing the screen with an ensemble show, and Hannigram is what happens if you take that premise and dial it up to 100% screentime and let it be darker and wilder and more emotional and deeply, beautifully, explicitly romantic.

Petlar is the story of the empath redeeming the remorseful serial killer through love and forgiveness, because Peter is the only person whose heart could ever accept Sylar despite what he's done.

Hannigram is what happens if this went the other way: the serial killer liberates the remorseful empath through love and understanding, because Hannibal is the only person who would ever fully accept Will for who he truly is.

(Plus: there's a lot of pain, betrayal and murder scattered between them all along the way, which doesn't stop them from uniting and forgiving in the end <3)
