What a wonderful time of year!

If you're looking at this thinking, "what's trick or treat?" then I refer you to the Dreamwidth info post here, the AO3 page here, and if you're seriously considering it then you 100% have to look at the requests app here. But, in short, it's a low stress fic/art exchange with a 300-word minimum in which you both give at least one trick (horror, occult, supernatural, scary, etc) or treat (sweet, sexy, fluffy, etc) fanwork to your recipient and receive one or more in return.

Back to the letter!

There isn't much in here that isn't in my signup, but you can have a look at all my previous letters using the tags! Every letter going back seven years is under dear author letter, and specific fandoms and some pretty pretty gif sets under the fandom tags.

Thank you very much for thinking of writing for me. I hope you have a lot of fun doing it. I will be delighted with the result no matter what!

If you would like to write Halloween-flavoured fic, I would ask that it be canonically appropriate. (They're probably not trick-or-treating in costume with carved pumpkins in ninth/tenth century England, but All Hallows' Eve would be a great place to start. On the other hand, I can see Thor really loving a modern Halloween.) Some Halloween prompts are given for some fandoms. All prompts are only suggestions, please write whatever sparks creative joy for you! If you want to dance close to one of my DNWs, I might be open to it so by all means get in touch through the mods. I would just like to avoid gifts that focus on any of these things.

1. The Last Kingdom (TV)

I asked Netflix to “Surprise Me” this summer and watched the first few minutes of this. Then the first episode. Then the first season. Then I’d devoured the whole thing in a fortnight, couldn’t pick what to watch next and started again. And I’m reading the books. (Halfway through Sword Song as of this morning.) This series caught my imagination in unexpected ways.

I really enjoy the way different characters think/plot, their diverse values and worldviews. How Danes view death (unafraid of death but not keen on the waste of men/expecting to die with their sword in hand) and how Saxons do (a preference for dying peacefully in bed with priest/family by their side), how their religion and gods influence them, the idea of destiny. Death is a constant presence in this world, in a way it’s not in ours. Stiorra says something to her father about death coming for her mother too quickly for Gisela to see, and so Stiorra was ready and unafraid. (Terrible paraphrasing.) But death is always there, a hair’s breadth away (the snipping of a thread by the spinners) whether by violence or disease or childbirth or misadventure. Destiny is all/fate is inexorable.

I was going to split into trick prompts or treat prompts but so many could go either way. Uhtred and friends walk the line between genius and disaster so often. I am also open to the appearance of any other characters at the author’s pleasure.

My likes of missing moments, banter/bickering, character death fic, found family, unlikely friendships and outsider POV all seem extra relevant here.

- Life after Osferth? - Osferth and Aethelstan “living the bastard life” (and the wider group having a new baby monk to tease instead of Osferth). - Shadowwalkers? - One of Uhtred’s plans goes wrong. - Aethelflaed chooses a different path (with Erik, with Uhtred, anything away from her destiny as Alfred’s daughter). Does it go right or does it go wrong? - A missing moment for Uhtred and Aethelflaed. Does she ever break her oath, or come close to it? - Separately or additionally: Aethelflaed is caught breaking her oath. - How does Aelswith enjoy her room with a sea view? Does she continue to harangue Uhtred? She’s hated him for so long, he’s not fond of her, and that flips. Or does it? S5 Aelswith is so fun. My thanks to whoever nominated this ship. - Alfred’s perspective on some of Uhtred’s nonsense? Alfred’s reflections on his deathbed? I haven’t requested the / ship, but I did request the characters and I could read it, or just a one-sided version or foolish moment. Love, hate, madness, loyalty, obligation, respect, scorn – they’re one messy tangle of thorns for these two. - I enjoy fics featuring character death or its aftermath and every tagged character loses someone or is lost themselves. - I could read more of Beocca and young Uhtred. (Osbert!) What did Uhtred learn from Beocca rather than Ragnar? - Is Uhtred ever haunted by his ghosts? - HALLOWEEN: Its origins are in a time to remember the dead, including martyrs, saints and all faithful departed Christians. How is this observed or endured?

2. North and South (UK TV)

Margaret Hale/John Thornton Margaret Hale John Thornton Hannah Thornton Nicholas Higgins

I’ve requested this more times than I can count, because it’s one of my favourite baby fandoms. I love the conflict between the three worlds in this novel/series (Margaret’s, John and Hannah’s, Nicholas’) and how they come to understand each other better by the end of the story. And it’s pretty hard not to ship Margaret/John. Also, I have such incredibly strong train scene feelings because that’s so horribly unlikely, the PDA, an unmarried woman travelling to the other end of the country from her family with a single man! Shocking. So I absolutely adore post-canon fic here.

There’s so much pride in all these characters, in different ways. All look down on each other too. I could read more about that.

- Post-canon train scene consequences, for good or ill. - What if Margaret (or John) was seriously injured in the riot? - We don’t see a second/successful proposal on the show. Does one happen? Does the first go differently? - Something about John and Hannah’s backstory, the failure and death of John’s father, pulling him out of school and repaying the debts? - John, Hannah and Nicholas have tasted poverty – or at least true difficulty. Margaret might think she has, but she has not. Is there conflict there? - What if Frederick Hale came to post-canon Milton? Do any of these characters visit him in Spain? - Margaret finding her place in post-canon Milton? At home, in the mill, in town. - Any more flavour/colour of life in Milton.

3. The Witcher (TV)

I have also played Witcher 3 (the main story, I’m half way through Hearts of Stone, not played Blood and Wine yet) and started the books (although I didn’t get on with them). So if you want to throw in other canon references, I’m probably going to be quietly delighted in a self-satisfied “ooh, I get that!” kind of way.

I’ve tagged the characters I’m most interested in, but there are none I wouldn’t want to see. I also prefer Geralt & Jaskier to Geralt/Jaskier but I am happy reading both. I would prefer to avoid shipping Ciri romantically with any of these characters, but otherwise anything else goes.

Again, many of these prompts could go for tricks or treats. Pile the bodies high and make them suffer or wrap them in thick blankets and keep them warm and cosy by a good fire, both are excellent!

- Non-human Jaskier - Emotional support bard Jaskier! - Anything with music and singing - Truth spells/compulsions - Platonic intimacy - Life on the path - Magic gone wrong/the laws of magic/someone has unexpected magic - Canon divergence – Ciri finds someone else first during/after S1, not Geralt (Jaskier, Yennefer, another character) - Post-canon for S2 - Mousesack lives! - Missing moment/pre-canon for Ciri & Calanthe & Mousesack (& Eist?) - Geralt and Jaskier have an adventure - Any two or more characters have an adventure! - Facing a monster from the canon’s bestiary/fulfilling a contract – either a short incident or a longer odyssey. - Character comes back wrong! - The nature of destiny. - Exploration of Geralt’s wish and its consequences - HALLOWEEN: is there a Halloween equivalent on the continent? How is it celebrated? How do these characters mark it? There are real monsters and terrors and ghosts in this world.

4. Downton Abbey

- Did anyone else hear Guy Dexter’s offer to Barrow and think “what the fuck that is too good to be true run Thomas run”? Because I did. There are a thousand ways that could go horribly, terribly wrong, and almost none in which it could go right. (Period-typical homophobia, and classism, they’re doubly fucked.) But Thomas can be a romantic and is open to taking risks and definitely isn’t happy in service even as butler, so maybe he’d take the offer. I’d be open to reading any outcome of that decision. - Either Bates (or later Anna) is convicted for murder! And hanged, no miracles! What happens then? - How did Mrs Hughes and Mrs Patmore first meet? Were they both in their senior roles at the top of their departments then, or did they work their way up together? - What if the Kemal Pamuk episode went differently? For Mary, for Thomas, or for Anna. - Any missing moments. - How do the downstairs staff keep in touch with their families, with only one half day off each week? - The inevitable passage of time, upstairs and downstairs. - How did Cora feel when she first arrived in England? Happy or horrified?

5. Marvel Cinematic Universe

I would enjoy fic at any point in the MCU timeline, not just Phase Four.

Alright, so this is pretty Thor heavy. I think it’s because I’ve only recently seen Love and Thunder and still have feelings, and once upon a time got hit over the head with a really, really excellent Darcy/Loki fic and I’ve been craving more ever since.

The outlier here is Morgan Stark, because I wonder how she copes after her father’s death, how she grows up. I mean, the dead dads club is definitely a thing – if you know, you know – but what’s it like to be a member so young? And she comes from an exceptional background, and Tony’s relationship with his father scarred him. How does Morgan’s relationship with her father – even if that relationship is absence and grief – scar her? Or go fluffy, where other characters support and raise her because it takes a village.

But back to the Thor characters:

What is it like to be ordinary amongst superheroes? Genuinely ordinary. How do these characters live up to (or down to) others’ expectations? Anything, anything at all, for Darcy Lewis/Loki. Idfic, magical accident, punishment/imprisonment, at any point in canon. “Nobody else can kill you, that’s my job” kind of protectiveness? Cancer fic for Jane? The movie somehow ignored its psychological effect on her. I would like to see more of Love, for good or ill, and this odd new family and role to play. How do the worldview and perspective of the Asgardian characters compare to the humans around them? Does that lead to happiness or heartache, favour or disaster? HALLOWEEN: Any of these characters celebrate Halloween, in either an Asgardian way or in the way we would. Do they take it to the absurd?

6. Bridgerton (TV)

Okay, so, S2 was not quite what I was expecting, and it wasn’t a terribly close adaptation of the book, but it was still a lot of fun. I was very, very “what the fuck” from the end of episode four right through to the end of the season, peaking in episode six with some what the actual FUCK, and basically watched it in one sitting on release day and into the night. So, please, play with that.

I have read books 1-4 but noped the fuck out after the end of book four because some of the writing was so poor – it was idfic to a degree that I couldn’t tolerate in a “professional” novel. That said, I am 100% there for idfic in fandom.

Unwanted consequences from the night in the gazebo Kate leaves for India Lady Danbury’s backstory Violet Bridgerton is displaced as Countess and from her family home Eloise and Penelope’s friendship and falling out Benedict Bridgerton gets at the tea again Anthony and Edwina get married and have immediate regret! (There’s no easy way out!) The charmed life breaks for one or more of the characters and they have an unpleasant brush with the real world

7. Jane Eyre - Charlotte Brontë

This is my favourite classic novel, that I’ve reread every few years since reading an abridged version as a girl, most recently for Yuletide 2020. And my understanding and perception has changed so dramatically as I’ve seen more of the world myself. Rochester is more bad guy than good guy and that Jane Eyre lies as a narrator and is as prejudiced and superior as those she crititcises for the same qualities. But I still love her, and that she says she got a happy ending. That doesn’t mean it has to stay happy!

What if the Thornfield wedding isn’t interrupted? (I'm writing this myself too, very slowly.) Does Jane come to see Rochester as a villain? Does she find herself corrupted, tarnished or lessened in his eyes in some way when he comes to marry/possess her and the sharper, darker side of his character turns on her once she’s off her pedestal? Does Jane resent being Rochester’s carer, his eyes and hands? If they have children, what does that do to Adele’s place in the family? Is she beloved sister or unwanted burden? (Any POV here – hers, Rochester’s, an outsider. I can’t see Jane considering her a burden but I could perhaps see Jane being torn in too many directions and having no time left for Adele, leaving her bereft.) What if Adele’s mother returned to collect her, or for some other (nefarious) purpose? Post-canon happiness? Post-canon unhappiness? A missing moment between the interrupted wedding and Jane fleeing Thornfield? How does Rochester discover she’s missing? How does Adele find out? How do they both react? What is that day like?

8. The Godfather (Movies)

Michael Corleone/Apollonia Vitelli Apollonia Vitelli Kay Adams Michael Corleone

Apollonia and the American dream: what does she actually want? Is Michael a way to get it? (Children, comfort, fortune, adventure, love, other?) What does Kay want? Compare the women, be thoughtful or go dark. I’m always intrigued by Kay’s Catholicism, especially in the book. The movie’s ending happens too, but then Kay goes to church with Mama Corleone and prays for Michael’s soul. Michael’s grief at losing both women in his life, in very different ways. A missing happy moment for any of these characters or either couple. A contrast between weddings – Connie’s, Apollonia’s, Kay’s, others. What if Apollonia had lived, and met Kay? What if Apollonia lives? I feel like Kay makes a “better” American wife for Michael, in the world he wants to move in. Would the path have unfolded differently with a different woman at his side? Does the ghost of Apollonia haunt Michael at later points in his life?

9. The West Wing

Okay, so, I ship Josh/Donna pretty hard and otherwise tend to read canon relationships and gen here, but I’ll read anything I can believe. And this is a 300 word minimum exchange (I know, my prompts don’t always seem to reflect that!) so just a moment of another non-canon ship would be fun.

Gaza angst! Why did Ainsley leave? What if the S1 shooting went down differently? A missing moment with any combination of characters. Platonic intimacy! Pre-canon scenes or first meetings for any of the characters that we don’t see on screen. Or post-canon – what happens next for different characters? Reflecting on the passage of time. Treating one another like family HALLOWEEN: Do they mark Halloween in the West Wing? Even informally? Or does someone try, but it's difficult to do while still being taken seriously as a professional. Or do they celebrate Halloween in the Santos administration?

10. Stardew Valley

I first played this game within days of its release and I’ve played it through at least once a year ever since. I’m currently challenging myself to complete the Community Center in Y1, max points on Grandpa’s Evaluation in Year 2, and 100% Perfection by the end of Year 3. I’m on track so far, around Spring 14 Y2. It’s given me lots of fresh ideas and questions. Mild preference for female player, but only mild. - “My name’s not really Sandy, you know. It’s just good for business.” WHAT? - “The elemental wars have long since finished,” says Wizard. What were they? - And what about the current war with the Gotoro Empire, that Kent fought in? Does it come to Stardew Valley? Does it touch the villagers’ lives? The farmer’s? Has anyone won the Stardew Hero award before? - Clint is such a “nice guy” he tells us. I like Clint, but there’s fun to be had there for an author. He clearly adores Emily, but he’s awkward and unsure. What’s Emily’s side of it? For good or ill. - Marnie and Lewis sitting in a tree (or that truck outside Lewis’ house), K-I-S-S-I-N-G! Do they get caught in the act? By whom? Does their secret come out? What about the lucky purple shorts? Does Lewis lose his job? (Is he even elected anyway? Opposed in any way?) Or do people take Marnie’s side, that there’s nothing to hide, why is he such an arse? Does he have other secrets? Why is he ashamed of Marnie? - You know, I think that farmer used to have kids. What happened to them?? And now the farmer’s divorced but their ex doesn’t remember them at all? And the ex doesn’t remember the kids? All is not right on the farm, and villagers worry. - Witch/Wizard: what’s their history? How did it start/end? How does it impact the town? Do Caroline and Abigail have something to do with it? Grandpa? - Actually, what the hell was going on with Caroline and the Wizard? - I could enjoy a story about unexpected friendships between any of these characters. - What was the story with Sebastian’s dad, and how Robin came to be with Demetrius in the valley? Did Sebastian’s dad live in the valley? (Was Sebastian’s dad Grandpa and he’s the player’s uncle?) - Does anyone ever leave the town? Or are they forever cursed to remain and not age, a bit like the town in Once Upon a Time? - I could always read more about Shane and his struggles, for good or ill. - Sebastian has his issues too. Does he come to any harm in his solitary emo sulking around stormy beaches and atop mountains? Or do good things happen to him? - Do Sebastian and the farmer, or any other character, go on any more bike rides? - Some angst or hurt/comfort around a wounded farmer? Lost and trapped in the mines, or found and nursed back to health? Stranded/shipwrecked on Ginger Island? - HALLOWEEN: Shenanigans or supernatural occurrences at the Spirit's Eve festival. Do any of the monsters in the mines come to the surface and roam the mountain or desert? Trick or treating in Pelican town? Or any number of other things, sweet, sexy or black.

A/n: thank you for the request. This is my first request for the MCU Fandom, hope you enjoy.

Being the daughter of Captain America and Black Widow is blessing a curse... I'll tell you why.

But first if your the daughter of them I could imagine you having Steve's kind heart and Natasha's temper. Your Godfather Tony always got a kick out of a tiny you getting all angry. And his laughter would only get heavier if you came and started punching his leg for laughing.

Tony would definitely be a second father. He's wanted to be different from his father so he will always show you the love and affection his father didn't show him.

You don't like hearing about Peggy. I think it's because she was almost your dad's love. Natasha never had a problem with hearing Steve talk about her but the woman always left you frustrated just by the sound of her name... You'd never tell your dad this though.

Anyway, being around all theses heros obviously inspired your choice of future work, this scares not only your parents but the whole team.

Sure your mother would teach you how to shoot or Tony will teach you how to build a robot but they all fear the day you'll actually have to use those skills.

Your other Godfather Bucky seems to be the only one with peace about this suprisenly. If you told him you want to be a superhero he'll grien and listen to your reasoning.

There's been times where he'll put toy boxing gloves on your hands and teach you how to punch. Natasha put a stop to it quickly though. One day he was setting on his knees so he was your hight and you kept punching his flesh hand. He wouldn't let you hit his metal hand in fear you'll hurt your self.

Sam would always tease that you have Bucky wrapped around your little finger.

Bucky and Tony always compete to see who can be the coolest Godfather. If one gets you a cool Lego set or dollhouse the other one will get the bigger version. You love Elvis Presley at the time Tony will take you right to Graceland. You want to go you a waterpark Bucky will have you there in a flash before Tony can have the chance.

A down side is you learned how to be independent with your Hero Family. It's not a bad thing and they don't do it intentionally but there's many times you spent at the compound with Pepper and Happy.

But your mom and dad always make it up to you. I wouldn't say your spoiled, but if you ask one of your godfathers nicely(with puppy eyes) you usually get it.

But another down side of being a part of this family is them being extremely over protective. There's been many times you couldn't do something or had to stay indoors for long periods of time because someone was plotting your father's death.

If you do go somewhere one of them is with you. If you want to go to a zoo trip for school one of them is with you. You want to check the mailbox Sam is flying around watching you. And don't even think about going to friends house for a slumber party. Steve and Nat aren't trying to be strick or anything they just always have this sicking feeling something will happen.

On a more positive note... You always have the best time with them. To be honest you never worried about having friends because you had them. You of course have friends your age but you consider the Avengers your Best Friends. Speaking of which Cassie Lang is probably your Best Friend.

Which means the first sleepover you ever had was with Cassie. Since you technically would be with an Avenger it was okay. Tony thought it was dumb to leave you alone with "Thumbelina" but Steve trusts Scott and Nat trusts Hope.

Speaking of which play time is always token to the extreme. You want a nerf gun war, the whole team is involved. You want to build a Lego thing, tony will buy the biggest one. Blanket fort? You don't have to ask Clint and Scott twise.

I think you'll always try and lift Thor's hammer. You've tried but couldn't so one time Thor lifted it with you so you could have the experience.

You love it when Bruce reads to you. If you come up to him with a book he'll drop everything and read to you. It's the only thing that will make him leave the lab immediately. It's calming to him and he always uses different funny voices to make you laugh.

I won't tell anyone but once you got older you had a small crush on Peitro, which didn't set well with most of the men in the compound when Cassie acdently let the cat out of the bag. You've never saw the ironman suit appear so quickly..

I think once you got older the over protectiveness got old. You found it annoying a frustrating at times but in the end you're greatful that you have a group of people that care about you so much.

Be patient with them. They love you and trust you, they just don't trust other people.

Since you can't be on the flighting field you went to medical school and with everyones help(especially from Bruce and Tony) you were able to graduate with a trauma certification and now you work with Dr. Cho in the med bay.

You always hate seeing them beat up from missions but you also love helping Them and other people.

I don't think you and Peter would get along. I don't know why, I just do. I think at one point they tried to get you to go on a date with him but it never happened.

For a little bit I think you had a jealously thing going on and didn't like how close Peter was getting to Tony. Your Godfather noticed this and told you that you'll always be his number one.

Speaking of Starks, your literally the best big sister to Morgan. You two are basically two peas in a pod. And don't even think about messing with her because you will through hands to anyone who's rude to her.

Your basically to her what Tony was to you.

When you get older you do become an Avenger and the elders got over it. You proved you can survive and they couldn't be more proud of you.

This is your family and you couldn't be more thank full. There may have been bumbs mountains along the the way but they'll always be family. And that's forever.

There are a lot of good criticisms of the MCU but the dumbest one was always "they expect you to do homework to keep up, why do I have to watch all this shit" and like. Yeah. That's how long-running series work. When you walk into The Godfather part 3 you're expected to have seen 1 and 2 first. When you watch The Sopranos Season 6 they, unsurprisingly, expect you to have seen seasons 1-5.

It's ok to not want to do that but it's not exactly far-fetched here.

it's been a long time but I remember when endgame was announced people started passing around that bogus list of the MCU in-fiction chronological order as like "the ideal way for newcomers to get into the MCU" and I was like this list's only hater on the face of the earth but like you're insane if you think the ideal way to consume media for the first time is in chronological order instead of order of release... Like imagine telling newcomers they should watch the winchesters before supernatural or monsters university before monsters inc or the godfather part II before the godfather. GET REAL

okay like, now that we’re getting closer to mcu’s fantastic four i think it’s really REALLY important to note that.............................. doctor doom does not ““hate”“ reed richards. oh, he despises the man. but in a “you are so important to me, i hate you, love you, i want to kill you, i can’t live without you, you are the only person that’s my equal, and subconsciously i know that you’re better than me and it fills me with BURNING RAGE” type of way. when i tell you that doctor doom is OBSESSED with reed richards that’s not enough.

doom challenged reed to a latverian SWORD FIGHT on the condition that the winner would get the loser to do whatever they wanted. when reed lost the fight, doom requested reed to be the best man at his wedding.

and yet doom also hates reed so much that when an alternate good doom said that he redeemed himself by forgiving reed, 616 doom straight up murdered his alter because he couldn’t let go of his hatred.

and yet when reed died, doom said that reed was the only one who truly knew him and that without reed, he’s alone.

and doom is also the godfather to reed’s daughter and he is a great godfather who loves valeria richards. so.

also christopher cantwell, WHO IS A WRITER FOR DOCTOR DOOM COMICS, said this about doom and reed: “I feel like Reed thinks about Victor maybe once a week. I feel like Victor wakes up and Reed's face is the first thing he sees in his mind. At Victor's funeral, Reed would probably be stoic and say something like 'His was a tremendous mind' and that would be that. i haven't been posting a lot lately because i'm a slow writer and life has been kicking my butt but i've wanted to let you take a peek at what i've been cooking up in the background!!

what little attention i have at the moment has been going into time after time but there's a lot of ideas constantly swirling around in my head and i've wanted a place to put some of them. shockingly, these aren't even all of my wips. yeah, i know.

this is just a snapshot of the most prominent fic ideas i've been working on at the moment which means that plots and especially titles might still get changed. also i'm not committing to any sort of schedule with these so keep that in mind :')

a smile that cold - ransom drysdale x f!reader - au inspired by daphne du maurier's rebecca - (well, mostly by its musical adaptation, which is great) - i'm going full gothic/seasonally spooky vibes in this one - tropes: widower remarries, mystery, dark-ish (well, there's murder), perhaps a hint of spice - status: mostly done, but still missing a chunk in the middle

to home afar - bucky barnes x freader - the guernsey literary and potato peel pie society au - (oh yes we're going there) - i love this book and this au so much but i just haven't had the time to focus on it - tropes: 40s!bucky, dad!bucky, writer!reader, one (1) broken engagement, fitzsimmons appearance, hints of epistolary storytelling, pen pals to friends to lovers - status: about halfway done, still missing some connective tissue

all that's been (and all that won't) - bucky barnes x f!reader - buffy the vampire slayer au - tropes: slayer!reader, vampire hunter!bucky, friends to lovers, inspired by me rereading all the vampire knight manga so if you know those you'll see the twist coming, canon-typical violence - status: conception phase, some scenes written

death becomes him - steve rogers x grim reaper!reader - inspired by a mix of meet joe black, elisabeth (the musical, not the movie), the fairy tale godfather death, and the show dead like me - this is such a weird idea and i need to write it so bad - tropes: canon-compliant-ish, slow burn, artist!steve, will probably include time jumps, dark-ish for obvious reasons - status: random scenes written

tomorrow - steve rogers x reader - inspired by the river song storyline in doctor who - (yes you read that right) - i love using my most random au ideas for steve, i think this works so well and i'm so excited about it - tropes: opposing timelines, kind of slow burn kind of established relationship, goes through steve's entire mcu timeline - status: scenes written, writing time shenanigans is tiring if that's all you do though :')

ghost light - lighthouse keeper!steve rogers x reader - (yeah) - this one is so random but i cannot stop thinking about it - tropes: retired!steve, maybe a little angsty but it's fine really, either writer!reader or barista!reader - status: vibes and like two paragraphs

mirror's image - endings, beginnings!frank x reader - fic based on "why'd you only call me when you're high" by the arctic monkeys - tropes: fwb, drug consumption, angst and spice, idk if this will have a happy ending or not - status: about one third done

dear heart, it's me - anthology based on the amazing devil's album "the horror and the wild" - listen for vibes 😌 - will probably posted for a milestone celebration - pairings include: stucky, bucky barnes x reader, natasha romanoff x reader, wanda maximoff x reader, jefferson x reader, steve harrington x reader (more tbd) - status: one fic stuck in revision, three more started, real excited for one additional one atm

nothing else will do - continuation/expansion of my rewritten drabble - think medieval-ish fantasy vibes, once upon a time with some princess bride thrown in there - pairings include: outlaw/pirate!steve rogers x reader, knight!bucky barnes x reader - status: lots of daydreaming and some random scenes put onto paper

read you like a book - library au!! - you’ve already been introduced to this universe’s bucky and steve and i love them dearly - status: again, not a priority at the moment but they’re coming

something bout you - beloved - ngl returning to this one is probably gonna hurt but i still want it to exist - college au steve rogers x reader - this is my childhood friends fake dating au that i made up for ren - status: hopefully i will return to this one day after tat is done

can you plsss elaborate on Evie’s relationships with the characters from the MCU (if you want)?

buckle up everyone, because I've thought about this for an unnecessary amount of time. i'm gonna cover the avengers, sam, bucky, rhodey, pepper, and peter. btw the mcu timeline is not organized so just ignore the timeline. this is long im so sorry

her relationship with her dad is great in comparison to how tony grew up. I don't really include this, but evie is a one-night stand baby. she was created back in tony's playboy days pre-pepper, and evie's bio mom isn't really involved. however, it doesn't really matter because evie has tony and she never felt as if she needed to seek out her bio mom. tony is relaxed when it comes to parenting evie most of the time because compared to him, evie was pretty tame growing up (which doesn't really take a lot to do considering how wild tony was). there were times when he was too overprotective of her (the time when the avengers were constantly being assembled) but other than that as long as she doesn't get herself into too much trouble, he trusts her. tony is very aware of how his childhood was and actively tries to make sure he goes out of his way to do the complete opposite.

her relationship with pepper in the beginning was evie saw pepper as her dad's secretary and that was that. evie was a little kid at this point when pepper was first hired, maybe 4-5, and tony had been through a bunch of secretaries who quit after a month or two. so pepper staying longer than anyone had expected surprised evie, which led to her slowly opening up to pepper. eventually, evie saw the tension that pepper had with her dad, and wanted them to get together. she was absolutely excited when they did, and even more when they got married (in my head they got married earlier than they did). evie was flower girl and max was the ring bearer. as evie got older, her relationship with pepper got stronger and you would've never guessed they weren't really mother-daughter based on how they acted.

rhodey was her favorite uncle (don't tell the others) hands down. he was her godfather and he had helped tony out with evie in the beginning when evie was just a baby. every time evie blew up a lab or did something that made tony grow white hairs, rhodey would always tell evie that she was tony's karma. no one was able to handle tony by themselves, and now tony could barely contain evie by himself. rhodey's the uncle she'd run away to if she accidentally got in trouble to hide. but it didn't last long considering rhodey would always tell tony whenever she ran away to his, but she'd do it again without fail because there's not a lot of places she'd be willing to run to.

the first avenger evie had met was actually natasha. when natasha went undercover as natalie rushman, evie barely saw her so she didn't have an opinion of her. but once evie saw natasha (as natalie) kick happy's ass, she was immediately suspicious of natasha but never said anything because she was just a kid at the time, so who was going to believe her. but in the end, when natasha gave up her undercover identity and showed up with her spy suit, evie just said, "i knew it," and natasha has been in her life ever since. after evie had been kidnapped the first time, natasha decided to teach evie how to defend herself—black widow style. natasha was like the aunt that probably shouldn't be teaching her how to paralyze someone temporarily by pressing certain pressure points of the body, but she does anyways.

wherever natasha is, clint always ends up following. clint noticed that natasha was frequently gone despite her mission about tony stark ended not too long ago. so clint followed natasha to the stark tower and saw how natasha interacted with evie. natasha never had many opportunities to interact with children, so the fact that she was able to act so familial with evie was fascinating to him. this, as a result, made clint want to see what was the big deal about stark's spawn. his first impression wasn't the best, considering he popped out of one of the vents in the tower and evie had gave him a good punch with a surprising amount of power for how old she was at the time.

bruce was the next one evie met, shortly after the battle of new york, bruce visited the rebuilt stark tower. what he didn't expect was a bundle of energy named evie stark who practically had stars in her eyes when she saw him. in the beginning, evie thought of bruce as a god. she had read all his papers on gamma radiation and watched videos on youtube about the hulk, and practically idolized the man. this honestly weirded bruce out at first, because this was the first time a kid had been so excited to see him since he became the hulk. but evie's thoughts on bruce changed, thinking of him as an uncle instead of her hero (she had said that once in front of her dad, and he wouldn't stop sulking the rest of the day).

it took a little bit for evie to meet steve. considering he was too busy being the poster boy for SHIELDRA, she didn't actually meet steve until about a year after the battle of new york. evie didn't know what to think of him; on the one hand, he was a science experiment gone right and she desperately wanted to gather data, but on the other hand, she knew that steve and her dad barely got along. steve wasn't so keen on evie either, automatically assuming that tony stark's daughter was going to be like her dad. but he was immediately wrong when he had met her, she was more of a toned down version of tony and pepper.

thor was like the uncle evie barely saw, but when he visited, his visits were always memorable. when thor had long hair, he let evie braid his hair while he recounted tales of adventures back in asgard. these stories, as a result, caused evie to demand ask thor to take her to asgard. tony immediately shot it down, but evie was able to wear her dad down and reluctantly let her travel to asgard. she wasn't there for long, but asgard was definitely a dream vacation spot for her (too bad max can't take her even if he wanted to).

bucky was someone that she didn't know how to feel about. after the whole civil war business (i am actively denying everything after civil war), she had made it a point to actively stay away from the man. not because she was scared of him, but because of what happened when he was the winter soldier and what he did to her grandparents. she didn't try to blame him, but he was the man who inadvertently caused so much pain for her dad. but she had warmed up to him once he came back from wakanda to get rid of the brainwashing programming and bucky showed evie a picture of the goats he had taken care of when he was in wakanda. bucky and her are now cool, and she even managed to help bucky sneak the wakandan goats into the tower (much to her dad's dismay, who had found one of the goats in the elevator and that's how he found out there were now goats in his tower).

peter and evie's relationship was enemies to friends to lovers to friends again. evie initially didn't like peter because of how much tony spent time with peter (she didn't know that peter was spiderman at this point, so she saw peter as a regular intern). and it escalated even more when evie had been enrolled in peter's school by tony, who claimed that he just wanted the best education for his daughter (in reality he wanted her and peter to get along). peter was aware of evie's dislike for him, and he was genuinely confused about why. but evie changed her mind about him once she found out about his superhero identity when peter had climbed into her bedroom window accidentally instead of her dad's lab window. upon seeing the blood and the shredded suit, evie had panicked and her panicking got worse when she saw it was peter behind the spider-man suit. when they became friends, they got together (which max did not like, for some reason) but ultimately broke up when evie saw how mj and peter interacted.
