An old AU living in my head rent free recently has been my Assassin!Hiccup AU that i made years ago, but in the hijack discord server someone reminded me of it and then I started plotting to figure out how I could make it a hijack story xD (original posts about it from 2016 can be found HERE and HERE)

Plot stuff/rambles for this idea under the cut, most of it is copy pasted from my rambles on discord LOL

Basically the idea is it’s a canon divergence, Hiccup is the sole survivor of Berk after Drago’s attack, and he goes on a path of revenge, hunting Drago and his army down with the intent to kill him. He learns how to kill swiftly and efficiently, and by the time he’s able to kill Drago and his generals, he’s completely lost himself in his sorrow, his heart locked away. He uses the Bewilderbeast to destroy the rest of Drago’s army.

After this, though, he becomes truly lost and directionless, now that his goal of revenge has been achieved. Eventually, though, other mercenaries seek him out asking him to kill other people because he was so good at it, and Hiccup goes along with it because he’s just so numb and dead inside it doesn’t matter to him anymore, until he’s tasked with assassinating this young princess who, when he poises over her bed to strike the killing blow, realizes she’s the spitting image of Astrid and it kind of shocks him into realizing what the *hell* is he doing?!

The young princess is Camicazi, because I’ve always wanted them to interact LOL and I’ve always liked the idea of them having a father/daughter relationship.

So Hiccup obviously leaves this princess alone, he can’t kill her, but later finds out she’s been kidnapped by other mercinaries (the original guys who wanted her dead hired someone else to do the deed when hiccup didn’t do it, but these new guys decided they could get more money by also holding her for ransom and then kill her afterwards), so hiccup decides he’ll do one good thing and goes to save her because at this point, he knows a lot of the darker channels and underground places where these types of people will go

when he goes to rescue her, tho, he also finds these guys have poached a lot of rare and exotic creatures, as well as a Light Fury, and perhaps even a baby nightfury (who then inexplicably grows attached to Camicazi as they escape) >w> So it could be an interesting way for the light fury and Hiccup to like. Begrudgingly work together and bond over protecting these little guys who just keep getting themselves into trouble.

And how Jack fits into all this? I’ll put that in the next post I make for this AU >w>

Started a new story on AO3

Castiel is a 28-year-old scrub nurse, feeling like nothing nothing new ever happens at work. He has no particular specialty, though leans a lot towards Urology. Especially when a new urology surgeon called Dean Winchester arrives at the hospital. Dean brings a new kind of excitement to Castiel’s work. Obviously, they’ll get along great!

But, in a hospital, where workplace romances aren’t all that common, Dean and Castiel need to navigate in the shadows of a hospital where gossip travels faster than light. And to make it worse, Dean’s mother, who is also Castiel’s colleague, doesn’t seem to appreciate their supposed ‘friendship’.

It always irks me that some people have seen RttE but not RoB/DoB. Like yes I get it RttE is obviously superior but. Riders/Defenders of Berk is fucking great too. And has crucial character moments that RttE just. Lacks. When in RttE will you get to see Toothless befriending a cute lamb or getting jealous over a younger (adopted) sibling? Mildew is a fucking nuts character to have as your starter villain because he's so realistic and so threatening. Hiccup and Stoick are still healing their relationship after Movie 1 in RoB/DoB so we get to see conflict between them and more of Stoick's character development (I think his development was stronger in RoB/DoB than in RttE tbh). Also Dagur was the villain in Defenders of Berk so you know how good that was. Also we get context for shit like Heather and Gronckle Iron and where the Screaming Death came from. Genuinely Defenders of Berk especially is so fucking good.
