I restarted this book because I needed something to lighten my mood a bit. I’m about 100-pages in and Grace Lin is a fabulous storyteller and I really like the style of her writing where the book is layer after layer of stories.

This book is an absolute gem—the greatest I've ever read. Kratu, a young man from antiquity, travels through time and worlds, investigating the illusions and knowledge that permeate the cosmos. He is cursed with an eternal memory for stepping over the thin line between orthodoxy and liberty. Trapped by a deathless memory, he longs for freedom as he travels across several planets and eras, feeling a strong sense of empathy for the people who are confined in all kinds of restraints during these adventures. By the time Kratu is born in a modern metropolis, he has committed himself to bringing happiness and escape from captivity to individuals and groups of all races. The narrative skillfully combines narratives of knowledge, skillfully conveyed through the channel of divinities and great seers, with the sequential births of Kratu to create a cohesive whole.
🕊️ Let noble thoughts come to me from all sides.
🕊️ Life can never be all blank; a loss had to be compensated by some gain.
🕊️ The truth of life is that whenever there is a churning, first comes the froth of poison. Only if that poison can be absorbed, then one can expect to attain better things.
🕊️ You may not be able to practise all that I say, but it is always good to know the truth. Knowledge creates aspiration which turns into achievement. Never stop learning.
🕊️ Mountains are so like humans: beautiful from a distance, but menacing, and even dangerous, when close.
🕊️ The unholy alliance of the mind with the senses makes one seek pleasure even in the heaven.
🕊️ We are born unique and die unique. So, should not we aspire to be unique in life too? Be not a factory product, but rather strive to be handmade; special.
🕊️ When one does something, good or bad, it becomes easy to do that a second time. If continued, an act becomes easier to perform till it becomes one's nature. That is how a noble person or an evil person graduates. The evil ones make a mistake: when they do a wrong act a second time, they don't realize that it won't take long for that unpardonable act to become their nature.

"Would wonders never cease?" This is a must-read! This book offers a contemporary examination of India's gender relations. Despite being set in a dystopian society, it is frighteningly reminiscent of both the current social position of women in India and the future we are about to enter. The author @sowmyarajen uses satire to criticise institutions like as marriage and family, which in our society have largely gone unquestioned and unchallenged. This book should be read by anyone concerned about the current gender norms in India. It seamlessly blends serious analysis with humour and empathy. . . #classics #bookshelfstyling #bookish #bookishphotographysamed #alinti #bookstagram #bibliophile #bookshelf #bookworm #bookblog #books #tbrlist #bookcommunity #booklover #bookstagrammer #küçükkarabalık #thelesson #thelittleblackfish #classicbooks #bookstagram #bibliophile #bookworms #bookaddict #bookshelf #goodreads #reads #bookaholic #reader https://www.instagram.com/p/CcLhKOqvxR8tY7PD1Z0z49DGj2pCN1K5wYRPgc0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I really enjoyed it! This novel brought back memories of my school days and all the pranks I played with my pals. I hope those days would return and there would be no smartphones since when there were no mobile phones, we relied on friends and family to pass the time and stay connected. A child named Swaminathan from the imaginary Indian hamlet of Malgudi and his relationships with his father, three close friends, and other people are the subject of this book. The book has a terrific balance of humour, drama, and action, and it is brilliantly written. For everyone who enjoys reading books about children, this is a must-read. https://www.instagram.com/p/CgjzeHMLZbMnlQs4e1kZIYmu0REDUyhdW6dU8Q0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Have you ever read a book that might be classified as a tale, fiction, autobiography, self-help book, or something else entirely? I wasn't aware of any till I read The BE Book by @mynoomaryel This is a book that stands out from the rest because it embodies all of the qualities listed above. The author has gone to tremendous lengths to bring out practically everything in minute detail while maintaining the flow. This is what distinguishes this book from others in that you will not be bored from beginning to conclusion. Let's have a look at what this book is all about. As previously stated, this book is a treasure trove of information, and I will just discuss a portion of it. This book combines self-help, self-realization, and connecting with nature, all of which are tied together by the author's real-life examples. Read it slowly and thoroughly to get the elements / essence, because the word BE is a truly powerful instrument that can make a difference in anyone's life when used correctly. #classicbooks #bookstagram #bibliophile #bookworms #bookaddict #bookshelf #goodreads #reads #bookaholic #readerofinstagram #reader https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd0zZM6Pl0sQ2hxbAByZiIT2Uk7bAkIzzS0Zho0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I highly suggest this book. To dwell in the teachings for one day at a time is a little piece of counsel. The point of learning anything would be lost unless you have the ability to apply the lessons in a skillful way, which is a talent that very few individuals have. The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh ( @thichnhathanh )demonstrates In Understanding Our Mind how developing a profound understanding of our own minds is crucial to bringing about world peace. These teachings mature within us as we tenaciously look after them and reflect on them, becoming a source of benefit for the entire community of living things. It is a privilege to write the introduction for this outstanding and significant work. #buddism #bodhisattva #budda #buddhadharma #buddhateachings #buddhatemple #budhism #buddhaquotes #buddhas #buddhist #classicbooks #bookstagram #bibliophile #bookworms #bookaddict #bookshelf #goodreads #reads #bookaholic #reader #readerlife #mindful #meditationquotes #mindfulness #eckharttolle #laotzu #dalailama #nonduality #thichnhathanhquotes #lovingkindness https://www.instagram.com/p/Cfo8qXnPkXphi1i4PIPABZWehlrUPXJFLaxlLw0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

With the book in your hand, you may enjoy the sensation of watching a reel unfold in your head, thanks to Anukriti Upadhyay's vibrant and colourful storytelling. It transports you to a desert kingdom populated by camels, peacocks, date palms, and a fiery desert woman whose love is fanned by her fickle husband.
Bhaunri finds herself stuck between a mother-in-law who is too insistent on holding her back in numerous ways, and a husband who refuses to acknowledge her presence, in contrast to the freedom she is used to back home from her loving father and her progressive and strong mother. The tale is about Bhaunri's battles with all of these obstacles and how she manages to project her voice despite the long days she faces. Anukrti Upadhyay's work is razor-sharp, lyrical, and lucid. She's quickly become one of my new favourite authors, and I'm excited to see what she comes up with next.

Terry Pratchett has created yet another masterpiece. This book has a lot of similarities to The Chinese Curse. "May you live in interesting times. May you find what you're looking for."
Terry Pratchett's Interesting Times is a rare example of fantasy combined with humour. Interesting Times is based on the experiences of Rincewind, one of the most inept wizards in the magnificent city of Ankh Morpork, which is balanced on the backs of elephants who are in turn standing on a huge turtle.
The oldest and most inscrutable empire on the Discworld is in turmoil, brought about by the revolutionary treatise What I Did On My Holidays. Workers are uniting, with nothing to lose but their water buffaloes. Warlords are struggling for power. War (and Clancy) are spreading through the ancient cities.
And all that stands in the way of terrible doom for everyone is Rincewind the Wizard, who can't even spell the word 'wizard' 😂
Favorite Lines:
🧙‍♂️ "Well, we are wizards,' 'We're supposed to meddlewith things we don't understand. If we hung around waitin' till we understood things we'd never get anything done."
🧙‍♂️ A wizard will always come back for his hat!
🧙‍♂️ ...with the expression of one who knows that the light at the end of the tunnel is an overcoming train.
🧙‍♂️ Luck is my middle name, Mind you, my first name is Bad.
🧙‍♂️ When many expect a mighty stallion they will find hooves on an ant.
🧙‍♂️ It was amazing how much interesting stuff was in old books.

It felt like the end of an enthralling trek through the Himalayas This book is a must-read for anyone who enjoys visiting mountains Every chapter was a pleasure to read. It's incredible to see mussoorie and char dhom through the eyes of #ruskinbond. The way he portrays the birds. trees, and flowers that grow in the highlands opens your mind and eyes to the natural beauty that surrounds you. Following the completion of this book, I began to observe the trees and listen to the birdsong all around me. This year's yearly trip to the mountains was postponed, and reading this book didn't make me miss it. I don't usually remad novels, but this one is definitely on my list to read again.
