Morpheus • The Lord of Dreams

(digital fanart based on Netflix show "The Sandman")

I recently watched "The Sandman" from Netflix and caught an overdose of another character from the category "my personal fetish" ❤️‍🔥 Of course, I assumed that I would like Morpheus, but so much 🔥 However, it's not surprising. Gothic-aesthetic men with a sculpted face and dressed in a black cloak have always been a separate kind of my love. And also here is my favorite atmosphere of Dreams and Mysticism. So, +1 to the collection of fandoms and definitely +1 to the collection of TOP male characters.

Of course, I have a couple of objective complaints about the show, but if in general – I was in love ❤️ The plot of the series corresponds to the comic almost verbatim (jeez, how cool!). And for me, as a lover of aesthetics and beautiful visuals, the darkly atmospheric show has become an inspiring addition to the graphic novel. Although some moments are too smoothed out. The original source is still tougher and much mature 😅

BUT! The Lord of Dreams in this adaptation is amazing! He conquered me 🖤😍 So I'm waiting for the Season 2 and drawing ✍🏻

So. I watched "ARCANE" a year ago. And OMG, I'm was in love! True, as always, I fell in love with "dark side". If specifically – it's Silco and Jinx (because villains, psychos and scoundrels are my everything, yes) 🖤💙 As an artist, I was attracted to the aesthetics of their appearance, as a person – their storyline 💔 A lot of tragedy, drama and suffering for soulful masochism (everything I love, yes). Therefore, by the end of the series, I already knew for sure that I would draw them. And, of course, in detailed realism.

Fan enthusiasm, as you know, works wonders. Only on it my psyche rests, when I work on such artwork. Especially towards the very end 😆 Definitely, it was the longest, most hard and interesting art project for all my work in digital.

Rust • "True Detective"

Mood: Rustin Cohle 🚬

Three days ago I caught a viscous apathy. And I felt a desperate urge to watch "True Detective" one more time, to catch up yourself, so to speak, of the oppressive atmosphere. In pursuit came the desire to return to fanart. This picture popped into my head in a spontaneous flash.

This time I drew not from a specific photo, but intuitively, based on a selection of several screenshots. I want to portray the mood with the image of Rust. His image in combination with an emotional and color palette of series resonates too much with me.

This is probably the first drawing in my entire practice, created on the basis of pure sensations, without emphasis on technique and detail.

JINX • Arcane

Three months later, I finally found the strength to return to my large-scale fan project, which I started before the war. And here – ta-daaam! – I did finished drawing my poor Jinx! 💙

🤯 A very non-trivial task – to transform an animated character into realism while preserving the features of the figure and face (+ with a certain facial expression), without slipping into outright cartoonishness or grotesque of cosplayers. In other words, I drew, based on my own understanding of her anatomy and based on screenshots from the series. Oh yes, about the complexities of a very young face, a hardcore pose/angle and a specific light, I generally keep quiet. I redrawn ten times. To say how much of my nerves this girl "ate" – to say nothing 🤯

In general, I brag to you about the intermediate result and with all my heart I hope that further work on the drawing will go faster and less painfully 🙏🏻

Since my role as the "Fiery Witch" has taken root so strongly, the way the "face" of my creative accounts will be 100% witchy. I decided to make a universal self-portrait, where I can change the background and thematic attributes according to my mood (so as not to constantly draw new art).

In this digital drawing — my beloved husband Ivan Savchenko. And today is his birthday. Anniversary, 30 years ❤️

Alas, on this significant day, we are not together... The fact is that, he has been in our native Kharkov for a month already — as part of the team of our mayor Ihor Terekhov — and is working hard for the benefit of our beloved city 💙💛 Despite to the constant shelling of Kharkiv, my husband engaged in providing humanitarian aid to Kharkiv people. He delivers provisions and medicines to all those in need in his personal car. He is one of those, whom I call home front heroes in this war.

Therefore, today I want to congratulate my beloved man and gift him this a large-scale and symbolic digital picture with all my loving heart! ✍🏻

Therefore, I want to express my feelings through a portrait. A portrait of my proud and beautiful Ukraine, which, despite the blood and all shed tears, continues to be rebellious, brave and unbroken 🇺🇦

This portrait is about pain... mine and millions of other people who have known the nightmare of war 💔 But also... this portrait is about resilience, about inner strength, about a look. About look that is full of determination and anger. About look whose flame cannot be quenched by loss, hardship, or grievous wounds. This strong and strong-willed maiden will endure and will stand. One day she will wipe tears, shake off the ashes from head, wash the dried blood from face. One day she will put on a magnificent wreath again and put on a white embroidery. And she will bloom and become even more beautiful 🌼

Rust Cohle / True Detective

(digital drawing-poster for TV-series “True Detective)

My conceptual fanart and a portion of personal impressions 🖤 (a lot of words)

The series "True Detective" (namely 1 season) — is certainly a gem of this genre. After watching it once, I want to watch it again and again 😱 Because for me personally, everything in it is perfect: magnificent shooting, camera work, acting, a non-trivial plot, masterfully sustained atmosphere, even a videoclip/soundtrack for the opening credits. The script and visualization are worked out to the smallest details — from the general idea to gestures, looks and facial expressions. This series excites, intrigues and keeps in suspense until the last episode. And of course, makes empathize 💔

There are two main characters here, but for me, "True Detective" — is first of all Rustin Cole (in brilliant performed by Matthew McConaughey🔥) He — broken, lonely, with noticeable signs of psychopathy, but very clever, discerning and fanatical to his work man with a subtle attitude and a phenomenal instinct. Each statement by Rust is a sharp and well-aimed quote, that will make you think. And his mysterious personality causes admiration, pity, sympathy and anxiety at the same time. And of course I want to highlight visual image, manner and intonation speech of this character (again, a huge merit of McConaughey).

Rust Cole is one of the most serious, deep and sensual serial characters ever to hook me to soul 💔 And I dedicate this conceptual art to him.

On the wave of my current totally fan-madness by Matthew McConaughey, I finally watched "True Detective" (1 season). And shit, I was impressed! 😱 I don’t understand, how my inner serials-fan lived all this time and didn’t watch this masterpiece (I’m ashamed). This atmosphere, these deep words (by Rustin Cohle, naturally) and the incredible work of the actors. McConaughey and Harrelson in the same movie — it's a c-c-c-combo 🔥 And their interaction and dialogues in the series are just 🧨 Not surprisingly, this series relaunched Matthew's acting career. Because he's just OMG! 💥

In general, I go to watch the series on the second round and in the original voice acting. Here I will designate my first impressions with a quick portrait of Rustin, after which I will start thinking about a more massive and conceptual fanart based on "True Detective".

Roland Deschain of Gilead. He is the Gunslinger and final descendant of Arthur Eld. A wayfarer, who follow the path of Beam at the behest of KA and the call of the Dark Tower. Roland — as I see him 🖤

At first, I doubted the need to create the fanart with Roland. Because many people have already drawing him, and I’m unlikely to be able to draw something original. But when I went with him all the way from the desert to the Dark Tower, I was imbued to this character with all my heart 💔 And I realized, that I just NEED to draw him! And this fanart has to be perfect!

Perhaps, this is my longest and most difficult fanart for "Dark Tower" book (many are probably already desperate to wait for it). But I did it! 😤 And I am very happy with it!

Dark Tower (Can'-Ka No Rey) • Final

(my FanArt for Stephen King's book)

The End of the Path 🌹🗝🎴

I finished to read (to listen) "The Dark Tower" books, and this moment is worthy of an imprint in the my chronology. I am very impressed! I impressed by the World (Worlds), the amazing story told by the author throughout its entire length, and, of course, its END. Which, in fact, was not the end... but still gave me a sense of the finale. Which, unlike most readers, I liked.

In honor of this, I painted another landscape with the Dark Tower, which Roland saw at the end of his journey. The Tower with four rescued rays, which stands at sunset surrounded by a scarlet field of roses Can'-Ka No Rey 🌹

This drawing was created in two days on a wave of impressions and emotions. The landscape is not new, it's just a tribute to a beautiful and soulful story ❤️
