RW&RB and QoAaD parallels

[Spoiler warning for those who haven't read one or two of said books!]

My friend and I were talking about 'Red, White & Royal Blue' yesterday, since she was the one who recommended the book to me and I have just finished reading it, when I suddenly realized something.

Henry is the opposite of Kit in the sense that one fled the country because his crush didn't confess his love and the other because the crush was about to do it.

Or, if you go for the first time Henry did it, new year's eve, they're actually the same- both fled the country because they confessed their love (Henry mostly with the kiss, although he did try to tell Alex before with words but the guy was clueless) and thought they fucked up everything that was between them and said crush before.

In conclusion: Henry is double the disaster gay Kit is, which says a lot 😂

Supergirl 5×10 random observation

People, can we talk for a second about how chill Al is? People from other earths suddenly start popping up in his bar, hell- 4 doppelgängers of HIMSELF just show up there, and what does the guy do? That's right- opens another room in the bar so that there'll be enough room there for everybody, either invites or simply lets his doppelgängers join him at the bar, and the 5 of them start handing out drinks, business as usuall. What a chill dude 😂

Now that they're all on one earth, all I really want is for the Legends to come drink at his bar, just once; is it too much to ask for?

Legends of Tomorrow 4×15 Random Observation

Maybe it's just me, but at some point during the jail breakout I suddenly started thinking- where's Brigid's diary??

It did not appear during that scene, as much as I could see at least, probably because it's a book and the Time Bureau wouldn't just put it in one of those cells like they did with the living fugitives, but Ava clearly said in 4×7 that she confiscated it for the Time Bureau, which means that it's there somewhere, right?

And since Neron is basically running the place now, that means that he can find and use the diary to change reality to his advantage, without all the fuss he's doing right now, doesn't it?

So why bother? Did everyone just forget that there's a reality-altering book in that buliding?

Legends of Tomorrow 4×7 Random Observation

So, I was re-watching this episode a few minutes ago, to check something for a different random observation I had, when I suddenly noticed something I didn't think much of before. During Constantine's chat with Marie Laveau, before Zari and Charlie charge in, he tells her that there is no way to save Dez, and she answers by casting a spell on him and saying "Save my kin" while doing that. As we all know, soon after that Constantine does whatever possible to make sure Dez doesn't fall in love with him (and sent to hell due to it), from sending charlie back in time to get him out of the bar before he and Desmond meet to breaking the timeline, and it got me thinking- what if those actions were actually the work of Marie's spell and not Constantine? I mean, New Orleans was definitely a trigger for John, and it is possible that he did it because he only then realized that he could save dez by changing the timeline (as he told Zari and Charlie), but could it also be because of her spell, that it was controling him into doing that, to save her kin?

Legends of Tomorrow 4×13 Random Observation

So, as much as I honestly love legends, and I really really do, with all my heart (praise Beebo for this crazy show), episode 4×13 "Egg MacGuffin" left me with A LOT of questions about demons 🤔

I mean- in one of Constantine's flashbacks in 4×7, he told Dez to leave town because Neron was chasing him, but somehow John didn't seem affected at all physically; while in 4×12 Ava was in this sort of coma thing, when Neron somehow sent her mind to that purgatory, because apperently that's what demons do when the body of a host isn't willing to let them possess it, according to Constantine; and now Neron possessed Ray's hand and used it to try and force him to kill a person he loves, so that his soul would go to hell and Neron could take over his body. Why show a new way for Neron to possess a person every second minute? That's really confusing 😅

Also, if Constantine sent Dez to hell, because of Dez's bond with Neron at the time, doesn't it count as John killing him? And since he is someone Constantine loves, why isn't it enough for a demon to possess Constantine? Am I missing something here? 🤔

Same loft, 5 years apart:

Magnus had bought a coffeemaker because Alec had consistently seemed mildly distressed by Magnus’s magicking-slash-slightly-stealing cups of coffee and tea from The Mudd Truck. The machine was extra bother, but Magnus was glad he had bought it. Alec had to know the coffeemaker was for him and his delicate moral sensibilities, and Alec seemed to feel a sense of comfort around the machine that he felt about nothing else, making coffee without asking if he could, bringing Magnus a cup when he was working. Everywhere else in Magnus’s loft Alec was still careful, touching things as if he had no right to them, as if he were a guest.

And of course he was a guest. It was only that Magnus had an irrational desire for Alec to feel at home in his loft, as if that would mean something, as if that would give Magnus a claim on Alec or indicate that Alec wanted a claim on him. Magnus supposed that was it. He badly wanted Alec to want to be here, and to be happy when he was here.

NCIS 1×7 Random Observation

So, I was re-watching old episodes of NCIS today, mostly the first two seasons (it was missing Kate hours), when I ended up re-watching 1×7, "Sub Rosa", which is Mcgee's introduction episode. It most definitely made me miss the OG gang, but it also made me wonder- how is it that Mcgee and Abby didn't know how the other looked?

Abby was video-chatting with the gang while they were in Mcgee's office, with him there with the gang as well, only maybe 15 minutes (screen time) before both she and Macgee began wondering what the other looked like, so it doesn't make much sense that they didn't know. I mean, Abby could have forgotten, she was mostly talking to Gibbs when she gave them her findings so perhaps she didn't really notice Mcgee, but Abby was the only one on that computer screen, and everybody were focusing on it while she talked, so it's really unlikely that Mcgee didn't already know what she looked like.

It's really small, I know, but it bugs me 😖

Supergirl 4×17 Random Observation

Okay, so, I watched that episode like days ago but it only now dawned on me that there are zero Kara×Alex or Kara×Lena scenes in it. Kara is Supergirl, so she was interacting with the two, but since she was Supergirl the entire time, and Lena and Alex are both unaware at the moment that it's her, it doesn't really count.

That is completely natural of course, the show can't focus on all the relationships at the same time, but are you trying to tell me that Alex and Lena went around searching for information and digging into Eve's life and not once thought to ask their best friend, a reporter that does that kind of stuff for a living, for help?

Also, at the first white house scene when James was sent in as a reporter to search inside the place for Eve, Kara never thought, for even a split second, "wait, James was just shot, only about a minute ago, and by the person we're looking for in there, so maybe we should send in our other reporter friend Nia, who's also a superhero, instead?"

I mean..

Hawaii 5-o × Supergirl

Since I'm in the middle of a busy time, I can't really commit to another binge at the moment (a shame, I know 😂), so instead I started watching random episodes from tv shows I've already seen and really liked, one of them being Hawaii 5-0. Only a few random (mostly season 3) episodes in, I was reminded how freaking much I love my smol bean Max, but another few and I suddenly realized he had some similarities to another character I like- Brainy, from Supergirl.
