If you don’t manage to cheer him up, you still manage to annoy him enough to force him back to the rest of them. Either way it works out

💥 ‘Wow you’re annoying’ is the first thing Bakugou thinks when he meets you (he should meet himself) so he plans to just ignore you. After all, he’s not there to make friends. He’s there to be the best hero

💥 Annoyingly, even with your naturally chaotic energy, you still manage to stay right on his toes. That’s what finally gets him to notice you (notice me senpai), and to his frustration, you’re barely even trying to beat him, and yet you manage to remain hot on his heels

💥 It takes a while but he slowly manages to respect your skill as a hero - as much as King Explosion Murder can respect anyone. And even though your personality is… unusual, you’re not Deku, so he can deal with you

Tamaki is so terrified of doing something that makes you uncomfortable that it’s not uncommon for him to just stand there like a statue when you wrap your arms around his neck. He feels like he needs permission to return affection, so you’ll have to reassure him that it’s okay for him to touch you back. When he does hold you, it’s tight and fevered, as if he fears you’ll simply disappear in his arms.

Hugs from 👽👑 Mina are all encompassing, warm and heavy like a weighted blanket. She hangs to you, refusing to let go, with no care for how anyone might look at the two of you. In class, in the common room, sometimes even in training, if she gets a chance to hug you, she’ll take it. You had better get comfortable, because you’re gonna be there for a while.

💜 Shinsou hugs with his whole being. Even though they’re short and brief in passing hallways, they’re tender and soft, with a brush of his hand across your back and a quick kiss on your cheek. He doesn’t need everyone staring at you and trying to force themselves into your personal lives, so he pulls himself back much too quickly even for his own liking. It’s the simple things for Shinsou.

Good luck getting 🧴 Shigaraki to hug you. If you want a hug, you’re going to have to hold him down. It’s not that he doesn’t want to hug you, he’s just terrified to accidentally you know… turning you to dust. When you do, his hands don’t touch you, hovering just above your skin, even if you were somehow immune to his quirk or he had those half gloves which just cover a single finger or something. It also doesn’t help that he quite literally has no idea how to give or respond to physical affection.

King Explosion Murder, more commonly referred to as 💥 Bakugou smells of sweat and smoke - no surprises there - but also caramel, and a little too much spray on deodorant. It’s not overwhelming, kind of soothing in fact when it’s left behind on his hoodies that you not-so-secretly steal. The caramel and smoke mixed together is unusual, almost like a barbecue gone wrong and a pound of sugar piled on top to quell the flames.

💜 Shinsou smells like lavender, just like the diffuser on his bedside table meant to help with his insomnia. There’s also the strong undertone of coffee, for when the diffuser doesn’t work. It’s sweet - sugar but no milk - and warm like a hug that fills the air around you. The lavender swirls in soft circles, threatening to lull you to sleep at the behest of the coffee which streams its way into your nostrils.

Pikachu himself, ⚡ Kaminari, smells of energy drinks, with a slight aftertone of metallic elements. It’s the kind of smell you’d expect from batteries - if they had a scent - but for Kaminari it seems fitting. It’s energizing (I have such a way with words), exhilarating almost, and fills you with a rush of adrenaline whenever he walks into a room.

💙🔥 Dabi smells of leather, singed hair, and charred cotton. The remains of those he incinerated hang around him in the air in the short moment before he strolls into your room and simply falls onto your bed in exhaustion, but it's the smell of the burnt clothes that stick to him. A villain such as himself isn’t expected to smell of sunshine and rainbows, but there’s something soothing about the fact that it all fades away when he comes home, leaving instead smelling of you.

Something tells me 🏃💨 Iida smells of pencil sharpenings and freshly printed books, a side effect of his time spent organizing school equipment as class rep. The pipes on his suit leave a metallic aftertaste on his clothes for a few hours after training, but with his diligent time spent in the shower, it doesn’t last for long.

🍗 Hawks, quite unsurprisingly, smells of chicken, but also fresh, untainted air, a gift brought down from his constant flights high in the sky. He practically douses himself in cologne whenever he plans a date with you - an attempt to disguise the whole bucket of kfc chicken he inhaled prior to getting changed. The cologne is expensive, some gift from the hero commission, but he doesn’t really pay enough attention. He just doesn’t wanna smell of chicken.

It’s ironic, but ❄️🔥 Shoto smells like peppermint, the same as his body wash. He doesn’t understand why you find it so amusing, but if it makes you happy then he’s happy. It’s not overwhelming, not the kind of mint that makes your mouth water and our eyes sting, but the softer kind, that has a cooling effect without turning your entire mouth into Antarctica. After training, there’s always the slight smell of ash, from when he accidentally uses his fire quirk and half destroys yet another poor shirt.

This wasn’t the plan. But what did he expect when he rocked up at home with about a thousand rings dotted across his fingers. Hitoshi’s hands were always beautiful, but the shining display of silver just pushed you over the edge. He pressed a kiss to your temple as he walked in, before making a beeline for the sofa, collapsing into it almost immediately.

Where did he get them from? And why? Actually, you didn’t care. They just looked good. 

“Tired?” You asked with a smile.

He grumbled out a yes.

You strolled over to him, looking down from the back of the sofa. You leant down to press a kiss to his lips (spiderman who?). He smiled up at you softly.

“I love you.”

You couldn’t help but smile in response. “I love you too.”

With another quick kiss you lifted a leg over the back of the sofa, tumbling not-so-gracefully to join Hitoshi on his side. 

You sighed as he removed the rings, placing them on the coffee table with a series of clinks. He turned to look at you, eyebrows furrowed.

“You okay?” 

You nodded slowly, eyes stuck on his hands as they lay on his thighs. No matter how often you saw them, his hands always did something to you. You had to restrain yourself from jumping him over the simplest things like him passing you a cup of coffee. How could one person’s hands be so damn beautiful.

“You distracted or something?” He asked, eyes following your line of sight until he realised. “Oh.”

A soft chuckle left his throat, but, unashamed you didn’t look away from his hands. 

“They’re pretty?” You mumbled.

He hummed. “I don’t see it.”

“Then you’re blind.” You replied, swinging a leg over his thighs and planting yourself in his lap.

His hands quickly found your hips, but they didn’t move. Just hovered there, his eyes scanning as if waiting for permission. 

“You’re very needy tonight.” He said with a kiss.

You responded by rolling your hips once, twice, then threading your hands into his hair and tugging slightly.

“Very needy.” He chuckled.

You sighed, looking at him with pleading eyes. 

“What do you want, baby?” He asked, hands barely ghosting over your skin.

You whined. “Want you.” You huffed.

“You gotta be specific baby.” He murmured into your neck, leaning in to press a kiss to your clavicle and sending shivers down your spine. “What do you want?”

“Want your hands.” You finally.

“Yeah?” He raised an eyebrow with a soft chuckle.

A single hand finally clasped down on your hips, while the over one danced up your back until it found itself at the base of your neck. A few fingers twirled into your hair and pulled, exposing your neck to Shinsou, who took the opportunity to nip at your skin, before soothing his bite with a swipe of his tongue. You let out a soft moan, and he chuckled again.

“Where?”

For a second you didn’t even register that he’d spoken, too preoccupied with the feeling of his hands exploring your body and the occasional bite to your neck. 

“Hmm?”

“Where do you want my hands?” 

He pulled back to lay against the back of the sofa, ceasing all movement as you let out a groan. His hands fell back to his lap, and you watched them, transfixed on each vein and crease of his skin. 

His eyes travelled down your body, his lip quirking into a smile as he noticed his own t-shirt adorning your torso, nothing more than a simple pair of underwear between him and his goal - or your goal. 

“You know where.” You mumbled.

“I can’t hear you.” He chuckled.

“Please.”

“Please what?”

“Just touch me!” You whined out.

Tonight that was enough. You weren’t the only one feeling needy, and Hitoshi’s hands were quick to find your waist again, slipping under your shirt as they played with the waistband of your panties. He looked up at you, and you nodded.

“Up.” He said simply.

You lifted your hips just enough for him to slide them down your thighs, then jump off the sofa for less than a second to shuck them off your legs. Regaining your position on his lap, Hitoshi smiled. 

One hand remained on your hip while the other moved to the inside of your thigh, his tough feather light. He finally reached where you wanted him, and was apparently done with waiting.

He slid a single finger into you, unsurprisingly faced with little to no resistance. He was right, you were needy. Not that he cared, he was always happy to take care of his baby's needs. You moaned, but it still wasn’t enough. He knew what you wanted before you said anything, adding another finger and curling them inside you as you let out a shaky breath.You looked up at him, but he was hypnotized with the view of you taking him so easily. You began to rock on his hand, rolling your hips as if begging him to move.

Denki’s always been a flirt. He’s playful; it’s in his nature. He simply didn’t expect how hard he’d fall for you. When anyone else is around, he’s suave, funny, flirty. But with you? It’s almost the exact opposite. For the longest time you think he hates you. Why else would he immediately shut his mouth the second you enter a room? But the answer is simple. He doesn’t want to make a mistake, scare you away, make you uncomfortable with too many pick up lines.

Instead, Kaminari turns to one of the oldest inventions to remind you that he cares. Paper. Colorful sticky notes dotted on your desk when you walk into the classroom (no one knows how he manages to get them there before anyone sees - some think he begs Hagakure to help him, but they don’t care enough to ask).

A simple black heart on bright yellow paper taped to your door after a hard day of training. The smile it brings to your face is probably the best thing he’s seen all day (and yes, he was waiting around the corner for you to see it).

💜 Hitoshi Shinsou:

Words are difficult for Shinsou. Most people ignore him when he talks, out of simple fear he’d activate his quirk at any given moment. He wouldn’t, but of course, teenagers aren’t exactly the most understanding (even in a world where people can defy gravity with their fingertips).You on the other hand, listened to him, paid attention, spoke to him like he wasn’t any different. Maybe that was what originally pulled him to you.

He’s head over heels, completely and utterly in adoration with you, but he fears you’d run for the hills if he blurted out that he loved you a mere month into dating you. Honestly he loved you before that, possibly before you even got together, but he’s not sure how to tell you. Does he just say it straight up or is that too forceful? Maybe he should wait until you’re ready to say it first, then he can take it at your pace. Yeah, that would be good.

In Hitoshi’s case, his love language turns to physical touch. The simple kind. He’s not about to make out with you in front of everyone (even though he kinda wants too), he just wants to be close to you. It’s the leg draped over your lap while sitting in the common room. It’s the ghost of a kiss to your temple after a rough day of training. It’s the curl of his pinky finger around yours as you sit in class, stares and judgy teenagers be damned.

🐙 Tamaki Amajiki:

God I love this man so damn much.

Unlike most people, Tamaki finds it incredibly difficult to say those three words. If anyone reading this has dealt with anxiety you understand how hard it is to admit those things. But physical contact is also hard for him to come to grips with, especially in person. Being part of the Big Three warrants too much attention for Tamaki’s liking, but he powers through.

He clings, and I mean clings to you in public. In a way, you ground him. All he has to do is look in your eyes and the rest of the world melts away. He tries to do the same for you, to calm you down if a training session goes bad, or plead that Fatgum lets him leave early when Nejire texts him to say you were hurt by some random villain. It’s the price you pay as heroes that you can’t be with each other every second of every day, both of you know that.

So instead it’s silent cuddles in your room. He doesn’t need to talk to tell you he missed you, and especially not that he loves you. You know it in the way his arms coil around your waist, the way he buries his head in the crook of your neck, the way his breath catches when you run your fingers through his hair, and the sigh he can’t help but let out when you say you understand, that he doesn’t need to speak, that you already know.

🧴 Tomura Shigaraki:

Crusty dusty mf.

He’s frustrating. So incredibly frustrating.

He keeps you off dangerous missions, tells you he needs someone back at base for some stupid reason. It’s stupid because he stays behind too, but you can’t be bothered to fight back. You know it’s pointless. He somehow convinces you to play a game with him, saying there’s no point in just sitting there bored until everyone else gets back.

You don’t play as often as he does, only really when the two of you are alone and bored, but somehow you keep winning. You chalk it up as him being distracted because of the mission, but it keeps happening, even on the rare occasions you play with everyone else there.

Little do you know, letting you win is Shigaraki’s way of trying to show love. He doesn’t understand enough about social interactions and courting to know how to care, so he does whatever he can. Even if it’s letting you win at a pointless video game just to see that slither of a smile on your face.

💙🔥 Dabi/Touya Todoroki:

(If I just spoiled that for you. I’m sorry, but I did warn you)

Touya is… difficult to get along with. Add to that his daddy issues and trust issues, love is going to be a difficult thing for him to express. Your relationship didn’t begin as a typical one. A few too many drinks and a night in bed together change whatever friendship you had before to something else. You kept up with it. Why not? Both of you seem to be enjoying yourselves.

Friends with benefits doesn’t last long. He doesn’t know when it happens, but he finally realizes when you’re sleeping soundlessly next to him, bodies still slick with sweat; he loves you. And he’s terrified. He’s never loved anyone before, never cared so much. You can’t tell what’s different with him, but you know it’s something.

If he tells you he risks losing you, so he keeps it hidden, at least for the most part, but you notice the changes.

It’s the way he seems to cling to you a little too long. It’s how he practically demands you stay in his room afterwards, with a boring excuse of someone catching you and having to explain why you’re walking through the bar naked at 3am. It’s the way you wake up with your head on his chest, unsure how you managed to get there in your post-sex exhaustion. It’s how he always manages to snag the seat closest to you in meetings, and the way he actually growls if anyone looks at you too long.

If he can’t tell you that’s fine. He’ll just have to show you.

Update: Mini-hiatus

Once again I set myself a challenge that I was in no way able to complete and am now spiraling deeper into the big sad

But I made flapjacks so life’s okay I guess

On a less meme-y note my mental health has kinda taken a nose dive as of rn. Not related to tumblr at all, but it’s just been hard for me to find the motivation to write recently
