It's WHAT day today!? Not me already feeling weird about working on two sketches to post the same weekend as that sketch I posted for the first time in months only to find out that Today is the Two Year Anniversary of The Day Dinluke Took Over My Brain.

(It's not 12AM yet, this still counts as a 12/18 post)

Anyway.

Been dying to do some nice proper "the staircase fic is firmly on my mind" sketches. This version of Luke actually shows up later in the fic and the shape/cut/color of his robes are also influenced by Padme's wardrobe. Din's look has appeared on this blog before and is super duper influenced by what we saw of Aq Vetina's residents in the flashback scenes. The, uh, holocron plays a smaller part than it looks but I bought a holocron at Disneyland and wanted to have fun with my new reference.

The messenger bag I made in 2019 finally started to wear to pieces after four years of faithful service. Time for a new one!

I made the original bag without a pattern, but this time I had something to work with. I took the old bag apart and made a pattern from the pieces.

It took me a while to find the right material. I wasn’t sure what it would look like, I just knew I’d know it when I saw it. I finally found this double-sided Japanese cloth in a shop in Portland.

Once I had the right cloth for the exterior, I found a fun pattern for the interior bag in a local shop. (I always use a lighter material for the interior so it's easier to find things).

The first bag was a struggle—I had no idea what I was doing! I expected the second bag to be difficult as well, but the process went surprisingly smoothly. I got stuck a few times and had to take a day or two to figure out a solution, but the solutions always worked better than I expected!

For instance—in spite of carefully measuring each piece, the outer flap ended up being too small. I ended up constructing a border to extend the edges.

With heavy interfacing and waterproof lining, the walls were very thick and tricky to work with. Having a better sewing machine than last time helped!

Lots of pockets and hooks on the inside—essential.

I found a leather camera strap I haven't used since college and added a couple of decorative wooden buttons a friend gave me and I'd been saving for the right moment. The blue webbing along the sides that support the leather strap are repurposed from the original bag. I like that a little bit of the old bag is worked into the new.

The whole process took... weeks—but I’m so happy with how it all came together!

ok, i know i've done this analysis before though it has been an addition to another post of mine and most people only see the first post - soooo i'm gonna list the main points on here again

ok first i was like - this looks like fyodor, right? like the hair, the wound, the white clothes, and ofc the fact that he is nailed to a cross. fyodor sees himself as a kind of messiah, so it would make sense for him to think that he's dying for the sins of others. he also lies his actions and his life into god's hands as in "he's doing what god would want". come to think of it, fyodor's death might be fyodor's way of "cleansing the earth of sin" but i don't know if he sees it that way. anyways, i'm going to explain now why i think this is fyodor up there and why i think this scene already foretold fyodor's death.

now, there's so much to find in the light novel. we see fyodor at the end of the untold origins adaption and this might be a very obvious hint that fyodor's death is foretold in untold origins already. but the stage play reveals a lot, too.

first of all the stage play's summary is "an angel who murders", specifically an angel that kills their own kind.

that sounds an awful lot like fyodor doesn't it? he wants to kill all ability users after all. Now, i see fyodor in the murderer here, but i also see him in the victim bc of the following quote.

fyodor has been stabbed (not with a knife but yk), he fell with the helicopter, and he was poisoned. The heavy water could possibly count as strangulation but that might be me reaching. while most of this could also connect to dazai, he was shot by fyodor, not stabbed. it could potentially also relate to sigma, who fell with the elevator, was strangled by teruko and one could potentially say he was poisoned by fyodor's memories. also there is nothing unique about the ways they are murdered. fyodor sees sigma as an ordinary man. i'm kinda torn on this.

"if it was an angel, they would use the devine blade in their hand" like come on...

it's said in the stage play that there are 12 victims. someone in the other post mentioned that there were 12 apostles, though i don't know how this would make much sense in this context other than the connection to fyodor, that sees himself as jesus 2.0

ofc ofc there's also the judas x jesus dynamic between nikolai and fyodor here. nikolai being the one that wants to kill fyodor and "hires" dazai to do just that. though ofc nikolai regrets it immediately. also if we connect the 12 apostles that would be the 12 victims of the play or rather of fyodor, nikolai would've been beyond those victims, too. he was supposed to die.

also, i know this is about murakami BUT "the killer became the victim"!!!

Danny, you were loved and are missed.

(Phantom Planet happened. The results... are not the same)

It happened.

The world found out about Danny Phantom and the news went over even worse than expected.

The general population didn't take kindly to the existence that are Ectoentities. It scared them. There were some who were grateful for being alive and even loved the Ghosts but there were far too few of them.

Most of them were people under 25.

They lacked any power that could help the Ghosts in what was to come.

The Acts have been made public. The Anti-Ecto blasters and other weaponry has appeared on public marketplaces and the Anti-ghost propaganda was blasting on every news outlet possible around the world. Thos countries that valued their dead, were staying out of it but didn't help either.

At least they provided silent shelter to those seeking it. Dani went there, barely escaping with her half-life intact.

Vlad, from what Danny was able to gather, didn't have a good time in space either.

Danny...

Danny is dying.

The GiW got competent. He got clumsy. He was so, so, so tired from saving others from their clutches that he wasn't able to dodge the few shots.

His parents and friends were detained and trialed. They were found guilty and were to be kept is a far away prison for many years yet to come. Despite their best attempts to escape, to help, they were cought again, sedated and shipped away within days.

Danny was forced to watch all of that. His powers shortcuted and blocked, mouth gagged and eye forced open. It broke him and his core began to weaken.

The scientists were even more relentless with a body of a boy who lost his will to struggle.

And now, he was dying. He new that. They broke his Core by accident and here he was. Fading.

The scientists weren't there to see it. Something was happening outside of the room. He couldn't hear and see. He didn't care honestly.

They came. Slammed themselves through the door with a green bang of a natural ectoblast.

Danny smiled at them weakly. They were too late but he was so-so happy to see his friends, parents and rogues again. At least he didn't Fade alone.

He felt his body being cradled by countless hands as his world Ended.

Clockwork looked at the heartbreaking scene if front of him and grabbed his staff tighter.

This wasn't supposed to happen. The timeline was supposed to be Bright. It was filled with new dangers and adventures for the young Halfa but it was Exciting and Fun! He checked the timelines he could see over and over after the reveal went so horribly wrong.

He still couldn't find the timeline they were in.

Danny, as he came to realise, was an anomaly that lives on the edge of existing and a hidden timeline. The one that Clockwork had no access to.

Danny was an Ancient in the making. A baby ghost that was to grow into someone great and mighty. That truth hit him hard. That meant that there would be always a timeline that was hidden from the Master of Time. It was an Ancient's trial.

And it appeared that his beloved pupil was forced into his before he was ready by the stupid, ectoranium rock.

The Ghosts weren't able to come on time. The countless shields, weapons and obstacles were constantly in their way for 14 long months. It was only by luck did they finally find a trace of their young Hero.

And they were late.

...

.

"I will not tolerate this." He announced as the last specks of light left the eyes of the Great One of the Infinite Realms. The energy began warping the reality around them.

Everyone present felt the anger of the Ancient of Time who decided to go against any and all restrictions placed on him. It would cost him greatly.

"The timeline is a glitch. It shall be corrected."

The reality was altered.

The Ghosts woke up in their lairs, disoriented and sick. The Fentons woke up with a headache.

The latter just shrugged it off. He former remembered everything.

Everyone woke up a few months before the portal incident. Danny wasn't a Halfa yet. And the Ghosts understood that. They had to wait. Just a little bit longer.

But they missed their half-dead menace.

With the Help of Nocturne, the Rogues would visit his dreams and play with him. Sing him songs. Show him how to fight. Give him new knowledge on the culture of the Ghost zone.

Unfortunately, they forgot that This Danny was still very-very much not aware of them. Needless to say, his friends were treated to new stories from his dreams. They found them fascinating with how vivid they were. And Fun.

The Ghosts were there, on the other side of the portal, when Phantom was born.

The Infinite Realms cheered loudly.
