I saw an early screening of the Mean Girls movie last night, so here is a summary of my thoughts, comparing the movie musical to the Broadway musical, which I was lucky enough to see live in 2018!

Changed that I liked:

The usage of social media in the Broadway show made it very clear that it was written by adults who didn’t know much about Gen-Z. It was probably one of the worst parts of the show in my opinion. But Tina Fey must have done her research since 2018, because the way the movie uses TikTok, memes, vlogging, and FaceTime to push the story forward worked VERY well. I think there were some influencer cameos, but it didn’t feel they were included to show how “young and hip” they were, It actually added authenticity.

The diversity within the cast and changing last names to reflect the characters’ backgrounds (Karen Smith ➡️ Karen Shetty, Janis Sarkisian ➡️ Janis 'Imi'ike)

Cutting down “Meet the Plastics.” It’s a very exposition-heavy song and doesn’t need to be super long, even though the full version is quite catchy and fun.

All of the new jokes landed so well, probably because Tina Fey’s writing style is better suited for the screen as opposed to the stage.

This is more of a comparison of the musical vs. the original film, but a big change was The Plastics’ weaponized wokeness (which I talk about here).

The production design for most of the songs was very different. The stage musical has a lot of rock songs, which were changed to a pop sound for the movie. I personally prefer rock musicals, but it was a good way to give the movie a separate identity from its predecessor so it doesn’t risk becoming a carbon copy. It worked on some songs (“Someone Gets Hurt” and “World Burn”) but not on others (“A Cautionary Tale” and “Revenge Party”).

Cutting the joke about Regina’s ass being big. It was a very low-brow joke, which I’m not a fan of, and was just really immature. Thank God that was changed to her falling, which still shows her being embarrassed without her body being the joke.

Explicitly making Janis a lesbian! (It’s only implied in the stage show with “It’s not even true… I only have one butt”) And she goes to prom with a girl while Damien dances with a boy! ALSO THERE’S REJANIS LORE AND IT’S SO HEARTBREAKING I LOVE IT

megan thee stallion just… being there

Miss Norbury and Principal Duvall being a couple and owning a dog together!!!

As a low mezzo, I appreciated whoever decided to lower the key for “I’d Rather Be Me.” I felt very represented 🩷

Having Cady be raised in a single-parent household so it focuses in more on her relationship with her mom. Jenna Fischer was so motherly and sincere and brought a warmth to the movie. Their scene together near the end made me emotional (you’re never too old to ask your parent to stay with you until you fall asleep) (also this is my request to make jenna fischer my mom)

Changes that I didn’t like:

Cutting BOTH of Damian’s solos??? (SHE’S LEAVING!!!!!!!! JUST LIKE MY DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Cutting “More Is Better.” It wasn’t necessarily a memorable song, but it did give both Cady and Aaron more depth, both as separate characters and within their relationship.

While cutting some of the songs helped with pacing, cutting HALF of the score made me forget that it was a musical sometimes, which sucks because I really like musicals!!!

Other stuff:

The movie was marketed horribly. One of my friends didn’t even know it was gonna be a musical because there were no songs in the trailers 💀 (Also, this isn’t just a Mean Girls problem. The Color Purple also didn’t have any songs in the trailer. I didn’t even know Wonka was a musical until I saw it in theaters, so that was a bit of a shock.) If you’re producing a musical movie, maybe your focus groups should be musical fans, because that’s still a HUGE market.

Auliʻi Cravalho’s voice is STUNNING! She and Jaquel Spivey had great chemistry and their friendship felt so genuine!

The opening and ending transitions from the garage were everything to me

The EDITING

Angourie Rice is a great actor and fit Cady perfectly… except for her singing. Out of the entire cast she was easily the weakest in terms of vocals and it was pretty disappointing since she’s the LEAD. I could barely hear her in the new song “What Ifs” because of how quiet and breathy she was. I think it’s a better written song compared to “Roar” though.

Ashley Park cameo!

I cannot stress enough how funny this movie was. I was probably laughing louder than everyone else in the theatre.

I lost my shit during “Meet the Plastics” when Regina unzipped her jacket and Cady was staring at her boobs. She’s just like me fr 🏳️‍🌈

I know that Regina is a horrible person but I couldn’t find it in me to dislike her in the slightest. She just served too much cunt 😩

Christopher Briney is a good actor, but I don't think he was the right choice for Aaron Samuels. I would hate to ridicule anyone for their looks, but it still plays an important part in casting. Aaron is supposed to be a somewhat naive, wholesome, hot jock (and Regina has high standards, so he better be a fucking model). Briney is definitely a cutie, but gives off “smoldering badboy with a secret sensitive side” energy, which isn’t what Aaron should be.

The fantasy sequences (Stupid With Love, Revenge Party, October 3rd). I LOVE when movie musicals USE the medium to tell stories in a way that they can’t on a stage!!!

THE CHOREO!!! Everyone freezing then shaking in “Someone Get Hurt” AHHHH that entire number was HYPNOTIZING!!!!!!!!!!! My friend told me the choreographer’s name is Kyle Hanagami, so shout out to him. (also reneé rapp was so fucking hot while singing that oh my lord)

I will be calling my pimples “face breasts” from now on (avantika ilysm)

DAMIAN’S FRENCH COVER OF THE ICARLY THEME SONG 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

why was there a 0.5 camera shot of cady during revenge party 💀

“I’d Rather Be Me” was so much fun and I felt so fucking empowered. And the transition from the song to the bus was just *chef’s kiss*

Overall, the movie was not perfect, but the Broadway show already had plenty of flaws, so it’s understandably how that would affect the adaptation. I still a LOT of fun and would definitely see it again. Go stream Snow Angel by Reneé Rapp. i love women 🥰🥰🥰

If the Devil’s Night characters had Instagrams –

Damon:

- Has a private account with 8 followers and only follows Will back.

- Keeps track of everyone else on a different account secretly.

- Posts cute pictures of Winter on her account for her.

- Comments “ew” beneath cute pictures of his sisters with their husbands.

- First post after much deliberation is a picture of Winter in their fountain.

- Pretends to hate when Banks and Rika tag him in their pictures but secretly likes it.

- Participates willingly for pictures only when Will or Winter ask.

- Actively starts posting about his kids once they are born.

- Comments "babysoft" under all of Misha's posts.

- Makes a joint account with Emory for their business but lets her run it completely.

Will:

- Has over 10 million followers (Damon says it’s because he posts thirst traps but Will thinks everyone likes his dancing)

- Posts nearly everyday.

- Very careful about what he posts (he has *important* friends)

- Either spams on his account or goes AWOL suddenly.

- Removed the comment feature on most posts where he’s sporting his abs because Emory doesn’t like girls thirsting over him.

- Has a private account for his friends only to post cute videos of his kids and wife.

- Also known as “Misha Lare’s hot, mystery cousin”

- Posted a video of Damon dancing once, learnt his lesson when his followers fell to 4.

- Writes hate comments underneath Alex's posts with Aydin.

- Uses all features, loves to make reels and put songs over the pictures.

- Participates in Winter’s freestyle dancing videos

Kai:

- Had to make an account to post about Sensou and make it more public.

- Accidentally got famous because everyone thought the teacher was “hot”.

- Now features only his students in his videos and makes sure they get the ‘Banks approval stamp’ before posting.

- Made a private account using an alias to comment on his wife’s pictures.

- Realized that a good way to piss Michael off is by commenting on his wife’s pictures. Had been effectively using it till Banks noticed.

- The only personal post on Sensou is of him kissing Banks at the entrance captioned “Everything I wanted with the only person I’ve ever wanted it with”

- New dilemma unlocked when men started thirsting over his wife.

- Also removed comment feature.

- Hired someone (Alex) to manage the official account.

- Loves showing Banks off because it makes her happy.

- Likes to embarrass his kids and get it on camera only for the family on his private account.

Michael:

- Has an official account run by his assistant for work purposes.

- Public account, millions of followers but still lesser than Will (also blames it on the thirst traps).

- Shows off Rika in almost every post.

- Every intimate picture with Rika has a throwing up emoticon or “there’s children on this app” commented by Athos and liked by Damon.

- Aaron or Athos aren’t featured in any pictures for privacy purposes.

- Hates when Kai comments on Rika’s pictures. Tries to do the same with Banks. Banks blocks him.

- Is an active partner of Will's in posting hate comments on every picture of Aydin on Alex's instagtam.

Rika:

- Shows off her entire family at all times.

- Loves posting pictures with the girls whenever they go out.

- Does vacation dumps, weekly dumps, festival dumps, random dumps.

- Searches hours for good captions.

- Posts about Athos and Aaron but only where their faces are hidden.

- Writes corny captions on her posts with Michael.

- Laughs about Kai’s comments with Banks.

- Does fit checks.

- Tried doing the “A daily vlog of my life” and quickly realized that they do some shady stuff that shouldn’t be on any cameras.

- Personally overlooks the official account for the mayor’s office.

Banks:

- Proud Mom.

- Hundreds of pictures of her children.

- Loves commenting on everyone’s posts and hyping them up.

- Joins Kai in commenting on Rika’s pictures to piss Michael off.

- Only has a private account.

- Overlooks Sensou’s official account after its accidental fame and the official account for the Senator.

- Posts all kinds of things on her stories (dog rescue reels, Winter’s dance reels, Will’s thirst traps, videos of Kai walking out of the shower, of Kai sitting in his study and reading, a zoom in on Kai’s biceps while working out, of Kai getting overwhelmed and pissed off because of all the dogs).

- Only one who can get away with posting funny videos of Damon.

- Replies “no u” to every ‘”ew” comment from Damon.

- Has featured on Rika and Will’s reels multiple times.

- Tried multiple times to get Madden to make an account so she can tag him, has been unsuccessful.

- Uses a lot of emojis.

- Comments “Mine” on all of Kai’s pictures.

Winter:

- Damon runs the account for her.

- Posts videos of her dancing.

- Has tutorials demonstrating basic and easy dance steps for learners.

- Features in a lot of Will’s videos and does dance challenges* with him.

- Actively posts about her charity work.

- Always asks someone to take a picture of her onstage so she can ask Damon to make a compilation after she’s done with her shows.

- Loves when Damon is patient with her whenever she wants to post and helps her caption them.

- Makes Damon read out the comments to her sometimes when she’s sick of hearing the robotic voice of her phone. Knows that Damon does not read the hateful and condescending ones out loud.

- Is a Dog mom and loves having her pictures taken with her Dog.

- Loves family pictures with all her kids and of their pets.

Emory:

- Singlehandedly runs her joint account with Damon for their work.

- Pointedly comments on every one of her husband’s abs pictures (“These look like the same ones I touched this morning in the shower”/”Why do you look like my husband”/”Pictures really ruin the first class quality”).

- Has a public account just to post cute pictures of Will and her.

- Posts videos of Damon hard at work, shopping sprees with the girls (“That’s Banks passed out on the couch after thirty minutes, Rika’s onto her 50th dress and Alex is already on the other floor”), Will watering their garden shirtless, videos of whenever the group gets together.

- Has an aesthetic going on that she’s maintained over the years (Will has tried to ruin it multiple times).

- Pins all of Will's comments.

- Has full permission to use Will's account to post herself on his stories whenever she feels like putting fangirls in their places.

- Posts a lot of her WIP's.

- Uses Will's private account to post pictures of her children ("There's only so many accounts I can handle").

- Is a keyboard ninja and can be found arguing with a virtual stranger in a comment section at 2AM (almost always backed up by Banks)

Foxes Headcanons (Modern Day: Social Media Edition)

•Neil Josten uses social media after canon.

^ he posts the most vague shit ever and dark humor posts. He also has an anonymous hate page full of Riko Moriyama being clumsy or clips from the game where he lost against the foxes.

^^ he uses audios on TikTok and other socials that imply he’s fallen for someone he was on a team with and just lets the fan base assume it was Matt bc the whole Andrew/Neil rivalry. He likes to see reactions.

•Andrew starts to do art to express himself.

^He has a few anonymous art accounts throughout a few platforms and posts like twice a week on each. Hes really popular on TikTok and insta.

^^Neil stumbles across his content and realizes it’s him because he posted a picture he drew and sat on his dresser. Neil doesn’t tell him but frequently visits the accounts bc he wants to see Andrews art but knows he isn’t comfortable sharing in person or he would have.

•Matt and Dan would be influencers.

^ Matt mostly does sports equipment rating and reviews but he also does goofy ass videos with the rest of the foxes. Dan would do a lot about woman rights and activism in general. Big supporter of the LBGTQ.

^^ I like to think they’d occasionally do videos where Dan reviews make up products but uses them on Matt instead. They’re usually silly.

•Aaron takes pictures of every drink he gets from Starbucks and is obsessed. He is a Starbucks girly and has over 200000 pts on the app.

^He saves the pts to use when he’s desperate and for whatever reason didn’t have his wallet on hand.

^^^Starbucks deadass sponsors him.

•Kevin doesn’t do socials and just hired people to run accounts for him.

^ He does the photo shoots and tells them specifically what photos to use. He also puts interview clips so people often time think they’re just fan accounts.

^^he also records and post one singular video a month on his TikTok about upcoming games which serves as reminder that it isn’t a fan account.

•Allison uses her reach as a Sport player to advertise her clothing line.

^ She she has posts with lines such as casual wear, athletic wear, business casual/proffesional wear, and normalizes business making plus size clothes.

^^ she makes a few different lines for her friends and never posts them or sells them to the public. This includes armbands for Andrew, bandanas for Neil, one of a kind pride outfits for all the gay bitches on the team (let’s be real they’re all fruity), fox themed shirts for casual wear (even after they stop playing for the foxes)

•Seth hates social media and doesn’t have any.

^ He MIGHT have another fox run one for him and doesn’t interact at all.

^^ He lets the other foxes post him on their socials but doesn’t want one of his own.

•Rene does a lot of advocacy things on hers.

^ She shares her story about how Christianity and exy helped her.

^^ She doesn’t want to seem like she’s forcing Christianity. She says “having any kind of faith”

•Nicky posts a lot of random shit

^vlogs, funny sports clips, pride stuff. Videos of him and Erik.

^^ He gets the twins in a few and they’re just glaring with such a “I can’t handle you anymore. You should have put me up for adoption /hj” face directed at him and there’s a few comments saying “wait… they’re both making the face. Which is which?”

"Oh, my god! Penelope finally made her own channel!" Penelope films her first YouTube video. "Yes, I have decided to make my own channel. I saw a few asking why not make one for fun so here you go." She laughs.

"Not gonna lie this is really weird for me to do. Normally when I talk into a camera, I'm at least with two more people and not doing it alone. So pretty much what my channel is going to be is just for fun. Some vlogs to show how my days are at home, work, or whatever. Fun Q&A's if y'all want. You guys can comment or tweet me some things you want to see on here."

"Hopefully having this channel is a good way for you guys to know me more than what you just see when I'm in a few Sam and Colby videos or TFIL videos. And hopefully, you guys enjoy this if not that's completely fine by me. It's not going to hurt my feelings in any way unless you're extremely mean for absolutely no reason. I'm looking forward to this ride for me and you guys."

"Now let's go give the news to my roommates because they have no idea I'm even doing this." She stops filming and then starts again going to Aaron's room first.

"Am I bugging you?" She pops her head into his room.

"Nope, what up?" He turns towards her.

"I'm making my very first vlog for my YouTube channel. What do you think about that?" She films him.

"People can finally see what you actually deal with 24/7." He laughs, "Also you finally joined the rest of the team. You're gonna have to join the prank wars now." He lets her know.

"Oh, hell. I forgot about that. Shit." She leaves his room and goes to Sam's. "Hey, hey, Sammy." She enters his room.

He looks at her confused, "What are you doing?" He chuckles.

"I'm starting my own YouTube channel and this is my first Vlog."

"I'm so proud of you. Look at you growing up." He cheers for her making her laugh.

"Let's go tell Colby now." They go across the hall. "Colbs!" She screams swinging his door open scaring him.

"Was that necessary?!" He throws a pillow at her.

"Yes, this is my first vlog on my channel." She smiles and he jumps up on his bed cheering.

"She's joined the dark side!"

She leaves his room finding Corey and Elton together, "Say hi for my first vlog going up on my channel!" She screams at them with Sam and Colby following her.

"What? Look at you!" Elton applauds her.

"Penelope! Penelope!" Corey chants.

"That means you can be part of the prank wars now, right? We get you and you can get back at us?" Elton brings it up as well.

"Shut up! Never mind, I'm not starting a channel." She shakes her head.

"Nope, now we can 100 percent involve you now." Colby cheers.

"Okay, well I'm ending this here now. Thank you, guys, for watching my first-ever video. You'll probably see stupid prank wars videos as soon as these idiots prank me. I'm not looking forward to that." She huffs.

"Like, comment, and subscribe!" Sam screams.

"Yeah!" They all yell.

"Again, thank you guys. I'll see you next time." She says ends the video.

"Look at her Colby. She's already a pro." Sam fake cries.

"Whatever, Sammy. Thank you guys for being happy for me." She tells them and they say of course.

She goes to her room and edits her video for a bit before she has to go do a little shoot for work. Leaving the house though, her car doesn't start so she goes back in asking for a ride and Colby is as the only free one.

"They won't mind if I'm just there right? Since I'm your ride and can just wait for you." Colby asks following the directions.

"I don't think they will mind. There's plenty of room behind to sit and watch. I've seen others that do nothing just sit around waiting for someone." She tells him.

As Penelope said they didn't really care Colby was there since he was her ride. Just as long as he say quietly they wouldn't have a problem with him.

While Penelope sat in her chair getting her hair and makeup done, Colby noticed Darwin walk in so he walked over to him.

"Ugh, if you're here she's here." Darwin sighs.

"You got my message right?" Colby crosses his arms.

"Yes, I got your stupid message. And I don't care if you guys are dating because I'm seeing someone else now. Who is way better than Penny." Colby's hands ball up into a fist and Darwin sees this, "Do it. Embarrass your girlfriend at her job."

"I'm not going to satisfy you." Colby walks off going back to Penelope, "Darwin just got here." He tells her.

"Just ignore him. For me, please." She takes his hand into hers.

"I will for you." He gives her a smile.

"Thank you." She lets go of his hand, "Now, I gotta go do my solo then we do group and we're good to go." She gets out of her chair.

As she works Colby just watched and was memorized by her and how she was a natural for the camera, "I'm entirely fucked." Colby says to himself then forces himself to look away to see another girl looking at him in a flirty way. His eyes widened a bit before looking back at Penelope.

"Darwin, who is that?" The girl walks over to him.

Darwin looks over at who Megan was talking about, "Colby, Penelope's boyfriend but when I dated her, he was just her best friend." He rolls his eyes.

"He's dating her?" She can't help but laugh, "He's too good-looking for her."

Darwin looks at her, "And I wasn't?"

"You were but you're not my type. He is." She looks back over at Colby, "You think he's the type to leave her or cheat?"

"You aren't going to get what you want Megan so give up now." Darwin goes through his phone but she walks over to Colby anyway.

"Hi, I'm Megan." She puts her hand out to Colby, who is startled by her coming over.

"Hey, I'm Colby, Penelope's boyfriend." He shakes her hand quickly.

"How did she get so lucky meeting you?" She says in a flirty tone.

"Childhood friends. Our moms are best friends." He looks at the time on his phone feeling awkward at the moment.

"So you guys are like really close?"

"Yeah, dippers to now. So our relationship is great." He smiles looking over to see Penelope still busy.

"I know you guys are like best friends as well but she can still keep secrets from you. Like did you know, she cheated on Darwin, with the guy over there, Jake. If you watch them near each other you can see they have a secret thing. I'm just trying to warn you."

Colby can't help but laugh at her, "Thanks but I'm good. We're good because you're making up lies at the moment. One; she tells me everything because we're best friends first. Two; Jake is gay because I follow him on Instagram so I know he has a boyfriend."

Megan stood there taken back because she was used to the guy believing her and getting with her next. She just huffs walking away as Penelope comes back, "You met Megan..."

"Yeah, made up lie about you. You apparently have a secret thing with Jake." He laughs.

"Wow. Yeah, she has a repetition for going after other girls' boyfriends and normally she gets what she wants." Penelope lets him know.

"Well, she's not getting what she wants this time." Colby kisses her cheek.

"Also, I'm not needed for the group shoot so we can go home now." She lets him know as well.

"Great because Megan eyeing me makes me super uncomfortable. First thing first, I have to find the bathroom before we head out."

Penelope gives him the directions while she grabs her stuff so Megan walks over to her, "Colby is sweet. Darwin said something while you were with him."

"Again, I never cheated on him with Colby. We got together after and months after so it wasn't right away." Penelope huffs trying to plead her case.

"I honestly don't see what he sees in you. You're way out of his league." Megan eyes her up and down before leaving her.

"I heard we're apparently a secret thing." Jake joins Penelope's side, "Freddie thinks that's funny."

"Yeah, she's trying to get what she wants."

"Are you even a little nervous she could? You two aren't really so..." He whispers the last part because he has known about the act since she told him.

"I know Colby's type and she doesn't fit it, trust me. Plus he hates mean girls. Especially if they're mean to me. Junior year he stood up his date to homecoming because she said shit about me." Penelope giggles thinking back, "It was funny the next day at school."

"Well, I wish you guys luck with her." Jake goes to his shoot as his name is called.

Walking towards the bathroom area, Penelope sees Megan with her back against the wall kissing Colby with her arms around his neck and his hands on the wall, "Huh." Penelope speaks up so Megan lets go smirking while Colby was speechless.

He was just coming out of the bathroom when Megan popped up out of nowhere and pulled him into a kiss. Her hold on him was tight he's been trying to get her off him for like the past minute. He thought he could use the wall as support to push out of her hold but it still didn't work.

"I get what I want." Megan shoulder checks Penelope going back to the main area.

Penelope shakes her head walking out with Colby following, "I swear I have been fighting to get out of her grip, Penny. I came out and she came out of nowhere grabbing me." Colby speaks up finally as they reach his car.

"It's okay, Colby." Penelope forces a laugh, "We aren't actually dating so you don't have to worry." She gets in the car.

"No, I do because you know me. I would never kiss or get with anyone who treats you like shit. Megan is a piece of trash and kissed me forcefully." Colby doesn't start the car.

"Colby, it's fine. I know and I believe you." She gives him a smile but deep down it hurts her for some odd reason. Like he said, he was trying to get her off him but still.

The ride back to the house was silent and the only the radio was the sound. Entering the house they go in different directions and Colby goes to rant to Sam.

"Oh, what now!?" Sam asks as Colby enters his room.

"So this chick, Megan, who is a bitch by the way. Forced herself into me because I'm dating Penelope. Penelope caught her kissing me in this situation because I couldn't get out of this girl's grip. I told Penelope what happened and she told me not to worry about it. Tell me why I feel like I should worry about it?" Colby takes a seat on the bed.

"You know exactly why, Colby. I don't have to remind you."

"But still!" He leans back hitting his head on the wall.

"I think your act is really getting to you since you actually want it to be true. You felt as if you were actually kissing another girl that's not Penelope, your girlfriend. Colby, you need to tell her or get over it because you're gonna drive yourself insane." Sam tries to help his best friend.

"Why did I have to feel this way about her? You were never this bad when you liked her. Yeah, I heard you saying you were close to asking her out before Tyson."

"Oh, I was, I just knew how to control my crush on her. Thankfully you introduced me to Kat and it went away." Sam laughs.

"What?! You liked her that long? Sam!" Colby jumps up.

"I did, yes."

"How can you have liked her when I did?" Colby says making Sam point at him.

"Ha! So you did know you liked her way before the kiss!" Sam jumps up now causing Colby to glare at him.

"Oh, shut up. You already said I've always had a thing for her deep down. I just never wanted to admit it. And you're not helping me right now."

"This is for you to figure out, dude." Sam pats his back.

Here is my very long post about what I think of Les Misérables (2012) after watching it again recently

Tldr: the music which should be great somehow just isn't, the camera angles are fucking weird, Russel Crowe isn't as bad as I expected, Hugh Jackman was worse than I remembered

When I watched Les Misérables (2012) the first time it was the first experience I'd had of Les mis other than the odd YouTube video of one day more (or occasionally do you hear the people sing). I didn't know what it was about I didn't know many of the songs.

I found it fairly boring, the music was ok, the middle section with the revolution was the highlight. My favourite character was Javert followed by Enjolras (but that's biased because I'm a moulin rouge and n2n fan and it was Aaron tveit).

When I watched it back I entirely expected to hate Russell Crowe as Javert but have more respect for the music and the rest of the film as I have since watched the staged concerts and been to see it live and it's fucking great I love it.

I was wrong the music still sucked and I still found it kind of boring despite absolutely loving the stage production.

The orchestra is too quiet I think which means the music loses a lot of it's grandeur and the bad singing is more obvious.

Russel Crowe has a weird tone when singing (this we already knew) and when compared to other Javert's he sucks but when compared to Hugh Jackman it's a relief whenever it's his part because holy fuck Hugh Jackman was bad. Russel Crowe honestly wasn't that bad, I quite like his Javert from an acting perspective and the singing was alright, I know when I first watched the film stars was my favourite song (just imagine how amazed I was when I heard Philip Quast's version). I wish Javert's suicide was better in the film.

Hugh Jackman was far worse than I remembered him being perhaps I have more to compare him to now, bring him home was awful that's not how that should be sung and he had me bored for like the entire bit at the start where it's basically just him (end of prologue/ VJ's soliloquy).

One day more was a bit messy but not as bad as I was expecting.

The scenery was pretty epic like they had some great cinematic shots (ship at the start, the Seine, the cliff during VJ's soliloquy) like a big musical like Les Mis deserves some cool shots like that.

The camera angles were fucking weird. I find how shows use different camera angles quite interesting but I can't figure Les Mis out, it doesn't enhance the story or characters or anything it's just distracting and adds to how boring it is. I thought the camera angles during VJ's soliloquy looked like he was vlogging. Some dramatic shots could have helped that scene a lot I think. The camera angles got a little more exciting but the weird close ups were a theme and I personally think they were poorly used and distracting.

The Thenardiers were pretty good the first time I watched it but like having seen the show since it just doesn't work they're nowhere near as funny.

When my friend watched Les Mis and said she didn't like how all the dialogue was sung and I was like ok maybe she just doesn't like sung through musicals fair enough. No the film is just weird. They like added bits of sung dialogue but they seem to have forgotten to give these bits any tune.

VJ got a new song which was a bit of a shock because honestly I don't remember it from the first time round, I think the concept of the song is pretty cool but poorly written (it was sort of boring and didn't feel like it fit with the musical).

Les Amis were once again a highlight, the pace picks up, the singing gets better, all in all it's a good chunk of the film.

Fantine was better than I remembered and Anne Hathaway went for acting over singing in I Dreamed a Dream which worked but only because it was a film.

Eddie Redmayne was good as was Sam Barks I enjoyed their bits.

Aaron Tveit was also good you can tell which of the actors are theatre actors because they can act and sing at the same time (/hj). And of course respect to George Blagden.

The child actors (I don't know their names) were also great!

Yeah I think that's it if anyone read this to the end congrats on making it

Taeyoung: He would definitely do a lot of vlogs during their tours with some cute music on in the background. He'll film the other guys aswell when they do something cute or funny together, also feeding the 4townies some content, Mostly the best moments. He would edit his videos a lot like korean shows before posting it on Tiktok. He'll include some of the animals he find aswell. He would also try out the filters on there aswell. Sometimes he'll drag one of the members in frame for trying the filter out. Everyone will have a different reaction to the filter. Aaron T would be all giddy and posing cutely with the filter on, Aaron Z would just stare lol, Robaire would def smile and do a little pose, Jesse would look at Taeyoung in a half-non amused way but still laugh at it. Taeyoung would also film them when they least expected it, sneaky snake.

Taeyoung: *seeing Aaron T and Jesse sleeping in their dressing room backstage after a concert, He takes the chance to record them sleeping with his phone*

Aaron T: *sleeping on the bench while Jesse was sleeping in one of the dresser chair, Some of the staff snickered while he snored softly with his cap over his face*

Taeyoung: *he records Jesse as he pokes his cheek* So cute.

Jesse: *stirrs a bit in his sleep and turns his head to the other side*

Taeyoung: *he chuckled at that but moved to T, recording him aswell and poke his cheek* He sleeps with his hat over his face *he says while filming, deciding to take off his hat but then revealed T has awoken*

T: *smirks at him and then grabs Tae, making him fall on top of him as it turns into a tickle fight* Got ya!

Taeyoung: Wait! *he started to laugh but still recording untill they stopped, He thought about adding some effects for his video later like snore sounds and Brahms lullaby sounds, This will be the perfect cute moments of 4town*

4town vlogging headcanons!!

Robaire - Robaire films actually interesting and important stuff. When he is vlogging he films what they do in a day like getting ready, recording, choreography etc., and his videos and editing are very put together with nice, simple editing. He tends to film the other members more than he films himself, but they gradually force him to be in his own videos more, he just thinks they’re more entertaining than he is and likes filming their funny moments, but they disagree and want him to be the star of his own videos.

Jesse - his filming is extremely messy. Most of the time, if he can even get the camera on, it’s just a black screen with muffled talking or him filming his feet on accident. When he is successful in filming, his videos are very “dad-like”. It practically just turns into a documentary of him filming the other members with lots of pans and zooms. One of the other members could be talking about anything and he will slowly zoom in way too close on their face and the clip will go on for a very long time.

Tae Young - Tae has great videography skills. His videos always have really satisfying shots and he is super skilled in editing, and they always come out really cute and relaxing and have nice music in the background. He makes lots of videos of his animals and vlogs their healing processes and their progress updates. He also makes relaxing gaming videos with games like Animal Crossing. He does vlogs filming the other members too, just like random clips of them goofing off on the couch that are always entertaining.

Aaron T - He always makes messy, chaotic vlogs that are really random and never make sense. He films the weirdest stuff and will have random jump cuts throughout all of the video. They’re always really hilarious without him putting in any effort, he will say the funniest stuff without context and it’ll cut to the next shot super fast. Z is always in the background of all of his videos. Sometimes he films skateboarding vlogs, and him and Z sometimes do gaming videos. Most of the time it will be car vlogs of him and Z having they weirdest, funniest conversations.

Aaron Z - Most of the time his vlogs are just him, behind the camera dying laughing at Aaron T being himself and and doing funny stuff. (He is T’s biggest fan). Pretty much all of them are just T fan videos. He also does really sweet videos of the other members, like he always posts something really special for their birthdays. Sometimes he will film T skateboarding and cheer him on behind the camera. He also makes gaming videos with T, too. One of his favorite types to do is mukbangs of him and T (and sometimes the other members) in a parked car, talking about random stuff and their unpopular opinions.

okay so fair warning i haven't looked back at this WIP for almost two years so idk what to say about it BUT the basic idea of it was that aaron had a stalker lol

it was gonna have a bunch of flashback chapters and his teenage/young adult years were gonna be revealed via flashbacks and videotapes that the team were sent from the stalker!! bc jessica and haley recorded a lot of videos in the past (of them having fun, doing random stuff, imagine just a bunch of vlogs from the 80s/90s basically) and jess had them in her house when she realised someone broke it and took them </3 and then aaron eventually starts getting sent the vids and he has to watch them with the team for any clues and it kills him bc it's all these happy memories and the team have never seen him look so happy and carefree :( and he sees all these vids of haley looking so happy with him and it hurts

it was gonna either have a reaalllll sad ending or i may have changed it up idk

also his mom and sean were gonna be in it a lot i think and it makes me so sad thinking about what i was gonna have them go through OUGH

Not quite as fancy as my 911 or tgd ones lol, more like the normal ones, just with the end of a liveblog as well :).

I made a post about this before coming back to this one, but happy 100th episode all!! Lowkey forgot this was the 100th anniversary lol. But it makes so much sense and it was a GREAT 100th episode :D.

I love that everyone had their little moment (at least): James with the music, Wesley with Oscar, Luna with her college classes, etc :). And just Randy, Chastity, Oscar, and Henry BEING there lol. Though to clarify Oscar was not at the wedding xD. But seriously, I really loved all the cameos and little character moments this episode :)).

Also CHENFORD AAAHHHH!!! Their MOMENTS this episode y'all I was losing it xD. I do kinda wish it hadn't been that Tim isn't supporting her despite thinking he is, though? Because the vibes last episode were just really on Tim's side, I guess, and now they're just tossing him into "bad guy" a bit. But, I think it'll work out in the end. I'm also glad Chastity brought up that Lucy could also be scared! I think that's a real possibility :). Anyway, they were ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE and whether it was the first time in universe or not, WHOOO FIRST I LOVE YOU!! And it was so cute :'D. Also the dance 😭😭😭❤️ stop I'm not okay :').

BAILEY AND JOHN ARE MARRIED!!! WHOOOOOO :'DDDD!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🎊🎉🥂🎂🥂🥰❤️❤️🥰. I'm so happy for them :'DD

They might not be my favorite couple on the show but I still love them and this has been a long time coming. I'm also glad that despite all the issues they still had the wedding and everything was okay and beautiful 🥰🥰. Thank goodness they actually had it and we saw it lol (looking at you Wopez - still mad at the writers for that). Also I'm SO EXCITED for the next episode with their honeymoon :D.

I felt so bad for Celina and Aaron this episode 😭. Aaron because poor boy is going through it and misreading signals/situations xd, and Celina because she's trying to be there for him and do what's best and she as also, you know, kidnapped and beat up xD. But, I think they'll make it through it :).

Really though Aaron you need to talk to your therapist 😭. It's dangerous going out when you know you're not healing :(. Hope he learns it soon D':.

I loved all the togetherness moments this episode!! The bachelor and bachelorette parties (y'all I can't articulate it beyond loving individual characters and them all hanging out but oUAGH chomping on it)/last minute preparations xD were SO GOOD!! And the wedding, especially the dancing :'D. AUOGH, I love them <333. And of course the final mission at the end - they slay together :DD. Also, I'm glad Celina's okay :')).

Don't even get me started on the Wopez/Wesley angst. Y'all I'm about to have so many thoughts about them moving forward (even more than usual/always xD). Like! AUGH! OSCAR!! SITTING ACROSS FROM HIM!! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I'VE WAITED FOR THIS

Like this is just as bad as that Logan Paul video,in which Paul back in 2017 uploaded a vlog to his YouTube channel depicting the recently deceased corpse of a man who had died by hanging himself in Aokigahara at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan, known as the "suicide forest" due to its infamy as a suicide site.

Paul's video depicting the corpse, which was censored, and his group's reactions to it, were criticized by celebrities and politicians. In addition, he was accused by other members of the YouTube community of being insensitive to suicide victims. Yeah the video was taken down but not before People were on all over social media talking about how they so outraged by his actions and rightly so. Even The Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul (no relation to Logan or his brother Jake) tweeted: “You disgust me. I can’t believe that so many young people look up to you. So sad. Hopefully, this latest video woke them up … Suicide is not a joke. Go rot in hell.”

If it’s not okay for some YouTube content creator to post something like a video of someone who killed himself in the forest and be so insensitive about it knowing that his followers included children, then why was grimly gremlin allowed to make a video of him butchering horse legs , post it and not care about this not biting him in the rear end?

I guess what I’m trying to say is that In the attempt to “butcher” Megan career it was leprechaun who ended up being “grounded” into decade old “dead meat” and to paraphrase Aaron Paul tweet, abuse of women is not a joke. Go rot in prison (and hell eventually )
