sharing bc i know youre into digimon. i grew up on the arabic dub and for some reason (maybe the long hair??) they gave angemon a feminine voice, name and used feminine pronouns so i just thought angemon and angewomon were sisters where one is buff and the other is fem and i thought that was the best thing ever, so thank you arabic dub for introducing me to the beauty that is muscular ladies

The only thing ill say about this chapter, is that the man holding you is not any of the twins nor Monty, but a complete original character for this story. So don't worry about it my friend, you'll read it soon enough.

Writing the children scene was alot of fun, and it helped that my parents owned a daycare so i have experience with children's nature and such.

The nickname was something i've thought while brainstorming for the story, i also needed something cute to coexist with the darker scenes i have planned for the future.

Saw a post that redrew an iconic Cruella De Vil scene and it made me wonder about Crewel’s connection to the actual Cruella?? Is he based on the 60s version where she wanted nothing more than to skin Dalmatians alive for a coat, or is he based on the 2021 Emma Stone live action (aka the one I haven’t seen yet, but just know that Cruella is like a fashionista)

Also makes me think of Malleus, like is he truly based on the 50s Maleficent or the 2010s Angelina Jolie live action…? I honestly think the later, where he’s misunderstood and therefore judged/isolated bc he’s different but that could be very wrong….

What do u think? Maybe it’s a mix of both???

That’s a very good question, and I wonder that too. I feel like it would be a mixture for both honestly. Because there’s not much we know about Cruella or Maleficent In the original. So, I feel like in the instances of those old movies they would need to get inspirations/lore from other media.

Though we don’t know much in general about staff characters in terms of their background and such, they are mostly their own characters with traits of the og villains. I love that divus is into fashion like the og and at the same time he calls his students puppies or good boy and he cares for them truly.

I believe like with any other twst character, malleus is not only based on maleficient. He has traits of other characters too. And that will probably show up more in book 7. For example, the sleeping curse is a big part of sleeping beauty and we know that. We have also seen how the whole weaving thread is a big part of Briar Valley tradition too.

I believe you’re right Anonie, and I think malleus and diasomnia will be a combination of the sleeping beauty animated movie and the live action. Besides the fact that the og movie didn’t have much detail, we can also see how some influences from the live action can be scene in twst. Like how in twst glorious masquerade we have dia costumes show influences by Diablo’s in the live action.

Hello! First of all I must say I love your coloring/edits!! They are all so vibrant and colorful, I adore them! I’m new to your blog so please forgive me if you don’t answer this kind of question but in your latest HxH edit, in the second part, did you animate the characters using the manga? Or did you color some anime scenes with your style? (I have zero knowledge about this kind of stuff so I don’t even know if that’s possible, but I wanted to ask because it looks so cool!). May I ask what program you used or if you have any kind of tutorials? I don’t make edits but I’d love to see the process. once i have the scene that i wanted, i made a gif of it, trimmed it down to a few layers, and then just redrew and recolor each layer. it was SUPER tedious considering i wanted to do it with four characters, but it came out looking something like this! 

the programs that i use are clip studio paint (for lineart) and photoshop cc 2017 (for everything else). i also made a coloring tutorial last year that you can check out too if you want to! just beware i suck at explaining i hope you have the most wonderful day as well anony, and always feel free to ask me if you have any questions (ෆ˙ᵕ˙ෆ)♡

Opinions on superhero and space aus?

WELL. it depends. since my major beef w/ a lot of aus is specifically that most of the time. characters & relationships & dynamics r fundamentally intertwined w/ & informed by the original context. and by taking them out of that framework u lose that contextualization. so unless u do that good & take into account the difference in setting altering characters & everything else. i will not like it.

.... anyway in theory i fucking love superhero aus. i love cape shit. so much potential so many fun interesting dynamics and tropes and archetypes to use and subvert and play around with. SO many interesting possibilities for manifestation of personality or selfhood in relation to power. in practice i fucking HAAATE cape aus!!!! bcos they BARELY EVER!!!! play with the fun stuff!! pisses me off!! maybe this is just because i have very high standards but. !!! >:((( !!!!

like. well i'm gonna assume yr part of mcytblr & use for example the fucking myriad of superhero/vigilante/villain aus that just appeared like toadstools overnight. (there r only two of those fics i like, youre gonna go far kid by greyquills & corpseart's one, but that's less cos of any excitingly interesting premise and more because they're both genuinely excellent writers who know how to make the conventions work.)

they are. all the same. the sbi dynamic is Always the same as in canon despite the fact that it is an Entirely different context. there's never any real backstory other than like, 'he raised them/found them on the street/took them in!' . tommy is Always on the other side. their cape names are always like, really fucking boring, btw. just saying. like. just abysmally boring. so yeahg if u hand me a superhero au i will probably look very pained and unwillingly accept it then stealthily dispose of it. but in theory???? hell yes hell yes. liek. love-hate relationship. one day i'm gonna write a cape au simply because of my dissatisfaction with the genre.

space aus........ HELL yes.never met a bad space au and have in fact met several VERY good ones. SO much capacity for delightful things such as angst and horror and tasty worldbuilding which are all things i adore <3333 i am probably skewed btw because i've read your words destroyed my planet by unda which is.... by far and away my favorite piece of fancontent like. Ever, and i've got a mountain of thoughts on the universe they've created in that fic & the way they go about it, so, idk. biased. (wow that fic's almost at a million words. goddamn) also in my experience. writers who make space aus are usually like. either into Good media or good at what they do. i trust the star trek/star wars/sci-fi podcast enjoyers with my LIFE when it comes 2 well written fic.) okay yeahg this is a long enough post. thank u anony i appreciated the opportunity 2 perorate. <3333

The first time, this man didn't even know you rolled off the bed, smh.. Until you let out a little yelp and he woke up.

"Dafug are you doing on the floor at 2am in the morning y/n?"

"I fell off!!" you sat there feeling angry at the situation and in pain.

He scooped you back up with his long and strong arms, "you're so funny sometimes little bug."

Subsequently he would start noticing when you were rolling further and further away from him and eventually he wrapped you up in the blanket and he slept on the ends so you wouldn't fall off.

This man sleeps with the AC on no matter the season so you're always in a thick blanket anyway.

But this man is a sucker for cuddling you, so some days he'd be under the blanket with you and he'll have you wrapped with his four limbs, making sure you can't escape.

"We're stuck together like love bugs" he would laugh when you protest that his legs are so heavy on you.

"oh? I thought you're a mantis? I'll eat you up after we're done mating."

"oh?" he'd mimic you just to annoy you, "then shall we start mating now?"

Asta

This boy has sharp senses, so he'll open his heavy lidded eyes just to check up on why you are getting further away from his arms.

When he sees you at the edge of the bed, almost falling off, he'd catch you with his quick reflexes.

After a few times of witnessing you almost falling off the bed, he'd question you about it.

"y/n! Have you always been rolling off the bed?!"

When you sheepishly nod your head, he'd finally put 2 and 2 together and exclaim, "so that's how you get all those bruises! I always thought you got injured during training!"

He'd push his bed back against the wall as it previously was. (ever since you both started dating and you slept in his room, he moved his bed's position so you both had access to the end of the bed.)

"Now you won't fall off the bed sunshine!" he beamed at you, "I'll be here to catch you if you ever roll off!"

This sweet and thoughtful boy would totally put a mattress at the bottom of the bed if he had to go on missions so if you really fall off you wouldn't get hurt.

Yami Sukehiro

God help this man but he's an even deeper sleeper than Jack. Of course he wouldn't know when you fell off the first time.

But you didn't yelp or cry, you continued to sleep on the floor.

When he reached over and he couldn't find you, he thought you went to get a midnight snack or the toilet. Until he felt your ki really close to him.

He woke up eventually and finally found you on the floor, still sound asleep.

Geez how are you an even deeper sleeper than me. he smiled at your peaceful sleeping form for awhile before carrying you back up on the bed into his strong arms.

He cuddled you tighter from that day onwards, worried that you might hurt yourself when you fall off.

Until you start complaining that it's hella hot.

He'd totally tease you though, "if someone doesn't have the habit to roll off the bed then I wouldn't have to do this. Or should I just sleep on top of you instead?"

Proceeds to lay on top of you, nearly crushing you.

"Now I can't.. breathe.. Yami!" Your limps would be flailing and hitting him at the same time, trying to get him off you.

He sighs mockingly, "what am I ever going to do with you."

He now holds your hands when you sleep together and you've never fallen off once.

hello gukkie I'm trying to read aus other than college / fwb, f2l. What are your go to aus or tropes and fics to recommend? do you have aus you don't like too? Am I the only one tired of pwps 🥴? By the way thank you for your fic recs

🌷 Hi there, anonie! I actually read variety of tropes/AUs but I have limited exposure to the ff.: idolverse (I find it too close for comfort), hogwarts (probably just read four or five fics), not much poly fics yet. 

I also had a phase of Hanahaki AUs/ Soulmate AUs and Dystopian AUs / Sci-fi / Alien AUs. But will only put my Top 3 AUs below, in order of obsession (lol).

Hey hey, A little confused with the Banyue arc. Like everyone knew Pei Xiu annihilated a city, so why is he taking pains to hide it now? And go so far fo feed humans to appeased the vengeful spirits? How is it a secret? And why does Pei Xiu even bother? Thanks in advance.

Heya heya anonie! I do think BanYue is one of the more complicated arcs that is easily glossed over unless you really dig deeper to understand what really happened. Keep in mind that parts of the explanation to BanYue arc will likely come during the special that’s airing in February, but in the meantime, I’ll give those of you who are confused an explanation (which hopefully makes sense, if not, ask away!).

Note: To make things less confusing, I’ll be using Ban Yue (with space) when I talk about the person, and BanYue (no space) for the place.

First, the most important thing that you need to keep in mind is that Pei Su’s main motivation behind a lot of what he does is Ban Yue, whom he really cares a lot about (romantic or platonic is up to you).

Now, to answer your first question: people know Pei Su annihilated a city before his ascension, but they don’t know all the details. From the novel, doing something like that is regarded as pretty common (quote: “everyone needed to spill some blood if they wanted to do great things”) but it’s still not exactly a glorious affair to be broadcasted for the world to know. Also, given Pei Su’s powerful backing (aka Pei Ming), not many would want to piss him off by purposefully digging into the full story. That’s why the whole situation is kind of like the elephant in the room, where everyone’s somewhat aware of what happened, but no one really wants to openly address it.

Pei Su isn’t exactly hiding what he did since everyone pretty much already knows, what he’s hiding is actually what he’s doing right now aka luring people to Sinner’s Pit to feed the resentful ghosts. To understand why he does this, you’ll need to understand what he and Ban Yue did during the conflict between Midland and BanYue. To sum it up quickly, both nations have been at war, with Pei Su on Midland’s side while Ban Yue is on BanYue’s side on the surface, when she’s in reality secretly acting as a spy for Pei Su. Originally, both of them thought that as long as Midland wins the war, the common people on both sides would be saved; however, what they were up against ended up being more extreme than they thought.

Once Ke Mo realized that he was about to lose, he decided to infiltrate suicide bombers into Midland so that no side came out unscathed. When Ban Yue realized this, she and Pei Su came to the conclusion that they’d have to open the gates and have Pei Su mount a surprise attack on Ke Mo before he could put his plan into action. As we know, what follows is Pei Su breaking into BanYue with two thousand soldiers and he slaughters the city. Unfortunately, Ban Yue became a casualty that Pei Su was unable to prevent as she ended up getting killed and hanged over Sinner’s Pit by Ke Mo before Pei Su could get to her. Ke Mo and his soldiers then became resentful ghosts.

With this part explained, we can now go into the After. Because Ban Yue felt extremely guilty about her betrayal (Ke Mo was good to her, the soldiers trusted her, but she still opened the gates and allowed them to get slaughtered), she basically lets herself be endlessly recaptured and hanged in an attempt to dispel and soothe some of their resentful energy (although it didn’t do much since she herself is a ghost, human sacrifice would’ve been much more effective). Ban Yue, despite being a Wrath, never intended to harm anyone. In fact, she did her best to save the humans lured in by Pei Su, while keeping Ke Mo and co inside Sinner’s Pit and using herself as sacrifice.

Now, to answer your other questions: why does Pei Su feed the vengeful spirits using humans? Why keep it a secret? Why bother? It really boils down to him wanting to help Ban Yue.

While Ban Yue tries to ease the resentful ghosts by using herself, Pei Su wants to help free her from this endless cycle of getting hanged by feeding the resentful ghost the humans he lures over, which is a quicker and somewhat more effective method of appeasing their vengefulness. The reason why he doesn’t just slaughter them all himself is because his clones are far too weak to handle such a task (you can see how weak A-Zhao is compared to his actual strength).

Now, this might bring the following question: why can’t Pei Su just go himself if his clones are so weak? Well, that’s because someone of his position will have their every move recorded in the Heavenly Court records, and as explained above, this isn’t a matter he wants the world to know about. Also, as previously mentioned, while people turn a blind eye on things that have already happened, were he to make it official presently, he’d have to go through the proper channels lest he wants to become the centre of gossip and basically bring shame to General Pei. This means that he can’t just take a trip down and cleanse the resentful ghosts.

According to Hua Cheng, Pei Su’d have to go through the proper channels aka the Heavenly Court and request an official cleanse. If he does that, then the matter is no longer in his control. They would have sent people to thoroughly cleanse the whole place, meaning that Ban Yue will not be spared. This isn’t something Pei Su wants either. You can see how much he cares about Ban Yue (and how different he is from the womanizing General Pei) from the way he accepts all blame for the situation when technically, Ban Yue did play a part. He refused to implicate Ban Yue at all, it’s honestly very cute.

So that pretty much sums up the whole BanYue arc, hope that answered your questions and helped clarify things a little. This arc honestly does a pretty good job at foreshadowing the arcs that follow, while also giving us a good glimpse at what kind of person Xie Lian is. It also creates nice foil characters to compare to.

I originally assumed all the hybrids besides Denji died in part 1 but then when I looked online I saw tons of fans saying they're still alive since they were in the last fight whilst being controlled by Makima but they're also technically immortal so they shouldn't be fully dead. This is something I'd never considered but after seeing so many people believe this I've started believing it myself so hope these people aren't being overly optimistic and haven't pointlessly gotten my hopes up just to have them crushed if it turns out that they are just fully dead and not coming back. Because I'd love to see Reze and Quanxi in part 2 and now I'm gonna be hella disappointed if they aren't even though until just recently I assumed they were completely dead. Seeing Denji and Reze going to school together in part 2 like they talked about would be perfect since neither of them ever got the opportunity to go before. Fujimoto please I need this! 😩

hiya anonie, hm i usually think about this too but then i don’t because then i’ll just give myself a headache and then be like omg but there’s always that possibility of them coming back because i remember power mentioning once a devil dies they’re reborn in hell. which could possibly bring them back but they won’t exactly be them. like this lives on angel devils wiki rent free and keeps me up at night.

the angst. the tragedy. the two best friends meeting once again but this time as enemies and i only see it being painful. chainsaw man’s whole storyline keeps me up at night and i gladly let it. fujimoto did that.

It had been a long day, you had spent most of the day helping fix around the run down school you’d been forced to live in by the present situation. You were tired and your hands hurt, you’d been with Eugene for most of the patrol and he wasn’t exactly the most physically gifted so you ended up doing most of the heavy lifting.

You make your way to your shared room with Lawrence, your boyfriend of a few weeks. Originally you had bunked with Judy but after your relationship with the glass-wearing leader had been established you moved in with him to his classroom.

When you arrived, the brunette was nowhere to be seen so you guessed he must still be patrolling with Ethan and Zion— you sit down in the makeshift bed you two shared and stare out the window, it wasn’t exactly dangerous to go patrolling at night but that didn’t ease your worries for the trio.

Sure, you were inside school grounds surrounded by a, surprisingly sturdy, gate but that didn’t mean it was impenetrable. A huge fear you’d had ever since joining the survivors was the gate suddenly giving out on you; not that you’d tell anyone, you didn’t want to worry anyone with your fears.

You look around the room and at the clock, it was almost 11PM, it was later than you thought… you shake your head, Lawrence was fine. He was two of the strongest people you knew and he was smart— if there was someone you were certain would make it out alive out of this it was him.

You rub your hands, it was starting to get cold— winter was coming soon and the temperatures were lowering and no matter how hard you tried, the heating system in the school was completely useless. Even after looting countless stores you’d only found so many clothes for winter.

You change out of your daily wear into more comfortable clothes and slip into the bed, thick blankets you’d borrowed from rundown stores back during the summer heat had proven more useful than Scarlett had originally argued.

You slowly felt yourself drift off to sleep when you heard the sliding door open followed by the sound of shoes being removed, you could hear Lawrence shake off his jacket and ready himself to bed as quietly as he could in an attempt to not wake you up. You hear more shuffling around before the makeshift mattress sinks and you feel a warm body lay besides you.

Your eyes are still closed as you feel his arms snake around your waist before your boyfriend pulls you into his chest.

“I know you’re awake.” He mumbles as he begins to play with your fingers, a habit he’d had since the day you began dating.

“Mhm,” you groan, burying yourself deeper into his chest, “it’s late, dontcha think?”

Your words come out a little slurred, mixed with drowsiness from the hard day of work you’d had— and brown eyes soften at your cuteness, you’d always been such a hard worker, trying to prove your worth to the team and that they hadn’t made a mistake when welcoming you.

“It is,” he hums, “we thought we heard something so we had to check, ended up finding a few cabins with some supplies we had missed… kinda crazy how there’s still so much we don’t know even if we’ve been here for so long.”

“Yeah.” His voice begins to lull you into a nice sleep, whenever you were with Lawrence it wasn’t hard to feel relaxed and safe— even in the middle of a zombie apocalypse when you’re with him it feels like you’re going to make it, like there’s a horizon and a future waiting for you and him.

“I’m happy,” brown eyes flutter shut, a soft smiling finds its way onto his cheeks, “I’m happy I found you… I don’t know what I’d done, where I’d be right now if it weren’t for you.”

He’d go crazy, he thinks to himself, in such a short amount of time you’d managed to ground him and become the source of peace in his hectic day. He might be filling in a leader-like role right now but you, he smiles wider at the thought, you’re what’s keeping him and this very group together. You had no idea how much you meant to him, and he planned on making you know everyday of his life from now onwards.

His thoughts go back to the poster he’d found earlier and he’s now sure of what he has to do to ensure a safe future with you. He won’t hesitate anymore, if he wants to live a perfect life with you, he can’t continue stalling the inevitable.

He opens his eyes slowly, without his glasses things look a little blurred, but that’s okay - he muses - because he can still see how beautiful you are under the soft moonlight, the way it illuminates your face and highlights your cheeks. He feels himself falling in love with you all over again.

“I’ll protect you,” a slightly calloused hand starts caressing your face, “no matter what.”

It’s a promise, he thinks to himself, he better get some sleep now; tomorrow will be a big day.

“A very big day indeed…”
