EGYPTIAN BRONZE STATUETTE OF OSIRIS
Late Dynastic Period, ca. 664-332 BC.
A bronze figure of Osiris in a mummiform position holding the crook and flail. He is depicted with a braided divine beard and wearing the atef crown with plumes of ostrich feathers which symbolises power and shows his role as king in the afterlife. Osiris was one of the most popular ancient Egyptian gods and was connected with male fertility. He was said to be the first Pharaoh of Egypt and was murdered by his brother Seth for his crown. Osiris was revived by Isis, his wife, and sister, to conceive Horus, the son who would avenge his death. After death, Osiris became ruler of the underworld and God of the dead, which is why he is shown with the crook and flail, the symbols of authority for Egyptian rulers.

The Avengers make a bet...
“It was really good of Tony to organize this,” Bucky says, leaning against the wall beside Clint.
“Yeah,” Clint agrees, pushing his bunny ears up on his head. “The kids at the hospital don’t get to get out much, but hopefully we can make this a ton of fun for them. And their costumes are amazing too!”
“Did you see the one with a tiny bow and arrow?” Bucky asks, smirking. “You’ve got a couple fans in here, Hawkeye.”
“So do you, Winter Soldier,” Clint teases, gesturing at the two kids all dressed up like the Winter Soldier. “And I even saw another Bucky somewhere.”
Bucky flushes a bit, nudging Clint’s shoulder. “Don’t you have an announcement to make?”
“Damn. Alright!” Clint claps his hands loudly, drawing all attention to him. “We’re going to split you into groups now, so make sure you go to your Avenger!” The kids all erupt into cheers, parts of costumes flying into the air haphazardly.
All the kids in the room stare at him as he starts pairing them off—most of them go to Steve and Tony, which is honestly hilarious to watch. Neither of those two have any idea how to act around children, especially children that idolize them.
Nat gets a good amount as well, including one adorable little girl in a wheelchair who’s dressed up as Captain America on a motorcycle. The kids that Clint puts with Bruce all requested him specifically, and when Bruce hulks out after a little prodding, all the kids are delighted.
Even though he doesn’t really understand this holiday, Thor gets absolutely mobbed with small children who are dressed like him or Loki, and in one case, a butterfly. “These are all amazing disguises,” he booms, lifting five children into the air with one arm. “My brother would most appreciate this holiday filled with trickery and mischief!”
The remaining few children are split pretty evenly between Sam, Bucky, and Clint himself. Clint crouches down in front of his small group and grins widely at them, signing along as he speaks. “Our mission tonight is to get the most candy out of any of the groups,” he says seriously. “Do you think you can handle being Avengers for a night?”
Kai, one of the kids dressed up as Hawkeye, grins toothily and signs a big ‘yes’. A pudgy little hand slips into Clint’s and he grins as the rest of the kids all shout in excitement.
“Here we go!” Clint says, leading his group out the door. They’ve got all the Stark Industries employees who wanted to be here being paid overtime to hand out candy to the kids, to give them the truest Halloween experience SI can manage, which is pretty damn nice.
The night is a whirlwind of corralling kids and checking candy for allergies and making sure every kid is smiling, but by the end of it, every kid’s bag is full. Clint feels a little tug on his hand, and he looks down to see Kai beaming up at him. Thank you, they sign, throwing their little arms around Clint’s leg for a big hug before running off to greet their parents and show off their candy.
After the kids are all gone, Tony calls for the team’s attention. “Jarvis? Final stats, please!”
“Very well, sir,” Jarvis says. “In first place, with 332 pieces of candy, Team Spider.”
A chorus of cheers goes up—minus Tony, who boos—as Nat stands and bows, graciously accepting the bottle of primo Russian vodka that was the first prize.
“In second place, with a total of 314 pieces of candy, Team Patriotism.”
Steve blushes as he stands up and bows. “Next year, Tony doesn’t get to pick the team names.”
“In third place, we have Team Thunder with 292 pieces of candy. In fourth, Teams Smash and Squawk are tied with 282 pieces of candy. And with a three-way tie for fifth place, Teams Robocop, Birdbrain, and The Best Team Ever, with 275 pieces of candy.”
“How did I come in last place?” Tony cries indignantly.
“Perhaps because you kept eating the candy, sir,” Jarvis says dryly. “There’s always next year.”
Tony grumbles and sits back down, pouting as he snuggles into Steve’s side.
“Sorry you lost,” Bucky says, turning to Clint with a grin.
Clint shrugs, and holds up a big bag of candy. “All good, I went back and snuck another few pieces after we left each door. Told Jarvis not to count them because they were for me.”
“You gonna share those with anyone in particular?” Bucky asks, eyeing the bag hungrily.
“Depends on if you can meet my price,” Clint says slyly. “Each candy costs a kiss.”
Bucky grins at him, leaning in and kissing him. “I think I can handle that,” he murmurs, coming away with a piece of candy in his hands.
Clint grins at him. Man, Halloween is the best.

Into the Anthill pt 28 - Onslaught
The Avengers have faced their fair share of insane odds over the years, but this is the first time since Korvac that Hank found himself face-to-face with truly unwinnable odds. This crisis would take everything Earth’s heroes had and more, leaving only the X-Men in its wake.
🐜🐜🐜
Sensational Spider-Man vol 1 #3
Spider-Man (Ben Reilly) and Peter Parker came to see Giant-Man at the Avengers’ temporary HQ at Jan’s estate to see if they could borrow some of his equipment. Hank agreed, running a lengthy series of tests on the skeleton they brought in for identification. He confirmed that it was indeed a match to Spider-Man’s DNA, meaning that this was yet another clone of Peter.
Iron Man vol 1 #327
Foggy Nelson gathered Tony’s chosen few for the reading of his will. Jarvis would receive an annual stipend to make sure neither he nor his mother would ever face financial difficulties again. A joint grant was set up in Hank and Jan’s names to allow him to continue their shared research and her to fund the Avengers in perpetuity. He named Rhodey and Pepper as the executor’s of his estate and set a few of his most trusted employees onto the board of directors for Stark International.
Avengers vol 1 #400, Onslaught: X-Men
A man named Tyfon arrived from the future with a warning: this is the day the Avengers die. He and Jarvis ran through his memories of their battles in the hopes of discovering which villain was causing this while the Avengers fought shadowy duplicates of the Masters of Evil, Squadron Supreme, and more in a glorified boss-rush. When Jarvis got back to his memories of their very first battle, Tyfon revealed himself to be Loki; he’d been using Jarvis’ memoires to conjure these enemies. The Avengers were able to beat him once they knew who they were fighting. At the end of the battle Nate Grey arrived with another dire warning: Charles Xavier had gone insane.
Avengers vol 1 #401-402, Fantastic Four vol 1 #415, X-Men vol 2 #55-56, Uncanny X-Men vol 1 #336, Incredible Hulk vol 1 #445, Iron Man vol 1 #332, Onslaught: Marvel Universe
Hank was given access to Cerebro’s scanners to locate Magneto, who they believed may be controlling Onslaught.
While he sent the Avengers to locate Magneto (actually his younger self Joseph), Hank dispatched another team to meet with the Fantastic Four. Onslaught had beaten them there, hoping to claim Franklin Richards for himself by force if necessary. Completely undeterred by the combined X-Men, Avengers, and Fantastic Four working against him, Onslaught achieved his goal and took Franklin.
As the heroes regrouped, Onslaught unleashed Sentinels against the people of NYC to force their hand. While most set out to protect the masses, Reed took Giant-Man, Iron Man, and Bishop to his lab to start working on weapons that could hurt Onslaught’s psionic body. When Onslaught’s citadel appeared from nothing in Central Park, Onslaught unleashed a psychic-emp wave that knocked out all of the machines in the city and put the already-scattered heroes on the defensive. A combined attack from Thor, Joseph, Cable, and Invisible Woman was finally able to extract Charles’s body from Onslaught’s core, but even that did not stop him. The heroes were forced to accept the loss and fall back.
While Hulk led a team to keep Onslaught occupied, Iron Man, Quicksilver, Giant-Man, attempted to reach the Wakandan consulate to access vibranium for their psi-armor plans. Black Panther arrived to escort them to his labs, but Giant-Man was forced to stay behind to distract the Sentinels alone. Quicksilver saved him the split-second before he was overwhelmed by their number and met with Tony at Four Freedoms Plaza to begin distributing the psi-shields. Meanwhile, Onslaught’s power increased exponentially when he absorbed Nate Grey.
Out of time and out of options, the heroes waged their last battle against Onslaught. Dr. Doom arrived to coordinate a plan with Rogue, Vision, Namor, and Giant-Man to pierce Onslaught’s barriers while Jean disabled Bruce’s hold over Hulk to unleash his pure rage. Hulk’s frenzy broke through Onslaught’s final physical resistances, leaving him a purely psionic form that could spread across the Earth unhindered. As the non-mutant heroes threw themselves into the psionic field to dampen his power, Cable, Joseph, and Professor X rescued Nate and Franklin from within his mind. Once they were clear, the combined might of the X-Men was finally enough to destroy Onslaught.
In the wake of the battle, it became clear that only the mutant heroes remained standing. The Avengers and Fantastic Four were gone.

Stephen Strange knew he was ruined the day he met Tony Stark.

Maybe that was why, when looking through all those 14,000,506 futures, he looked for one where not only did they win, but they were also together.

Do you have any recommendations for someone who wants to read more of the Vision?
OOOOO YEAH!
avengers origins: the vision is a really beautifully drawn retelling of vision's origin!
avengers icons: the vision is a solo story centered around vision's past as the human torch, it's quite interesting and i personally really enjoyed it! it's sometimes titled the vision: yesterday and tomorrow. weirdly enough geoff johns, the guy who wrote hank shrinking inside of janet's vagina wrote it.
marvel fanfare vol 1 #32 B story is a story where vision tries to uncover the murder of a busker along with ben urich. it's short but very sweet and i think it's a good story to read with vision!
marvel fanfare vol 1 #14 A story has vision go head to head with the fantastic four after being led to believe that they kidnapped wanda. it's very intense and i personally really enjoyed vision's display of power & protective instinct!
vision & the scarlet witch just generally is good for vision, but in particular i'd suggest vol 1, #3, which is centered on vision and simon after vision gets injuried in issue 2.
avengers vol 1 #253 - #254 has vision get taken control of and subsequently take over the world. it's a weird story but it's enjoyable enough! vision makes a very polite dictator ddvhfvh
ultimate vision & ultimate comics: cataclysm 000.1 is 1610 vision's storyline, and despite the differences between them and 616 vision i actually really like this story, definitely my favourite to come out of the ultimates verse! vision's final speech to sam wilson genuinely makes me tear up a little :')
avengers a.i. is a good one as always :0
avengers vol 1 #332 - #333. vision isn't the main character but they team up with sandman to take down doctor doom and YES it is exactly as batshit as it sounds.
all new all different avengers is a favourite of mine, vision tries to murder an infant at one point it's weird but rlly good i like the line-up
avengers vol 7 is the following series that comes out of all new all different and it has the same lineup, the art is GORGEOUS & it's a really fun storyline, i definitely recommend that too!
and finally the 1994 vision series! it's uh weird as hell but it's mostly enjoyable, ultron calls himself vision's daddy which reads weird but definitely should be read. got that good old 90s comic weirdness cdhdchdfj
there's loads more but these are some of my favourites! hope this helps!!

I fucking love how Riley it's important for Sambucky shippers and Sam fans.
We are here crying like :"POOR SAM HE LOST RILEY HIS BUDDY/BEST FRIEND/BOYFRIEND/FIANCE/HUSBAND "
Meanwhile the rest of the MCU fandom is like : Who the fuck is Riley?

Okay but imagine
Bucky who doesn't see himself as a hero seeing a little kid dressed up as him for Halloween because in the kid own words "Sgt Barnes is my favorite avenger"
And Sam Wilson who was so insecure about being captain America seeing not only on his neighborhood but online the amount of little black boys and girls dressing as captain America with the wings because he became their inspiration

“The Mechanic”
Avenger AU - Drabbles
Characters: OFC!Rusti Pagan, Bucky Barnes, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton
Word Count: 332
Summary: new mechanic on payroll, new adventures, new ways to de-shirt Bucky Barnes.
A/N: the idea came to me at work and wouldn't go away. I have no idea when I will update. Also, yes I had to use that line.....
Chapter 1
Steve watched in amusement as Bucky stalked out to the kitchen, Natasha clucking and leaning forwards on the kitchen island.
"Bucky, put a shirt on before you poke someone's eye out."
He turned and glared at her, stepping back as Clint made his way in, "hey!" The archer ducked out of the way making Nat snicker, "cover those up!" He glared making a happy noise as a mug appeared in his line of vision and taking a gulp of it before kissing Nat on the cheek.
"Where is she?"
Steve stared at his newspaper for a moment, "mm, not sure who you're talking about?"
Bucky crossed his arms over his chest, sweats shilling low on his hips, leveling a glare at the three who stood on the opposite side of the island. "Rusti, you know? Short, crazy colored hair, tattoos? Managed to get your loyalty over me. Mechanic. Drives a motorcycle? Where. Is. She?"
Steve looked thoughtful. "Mechanic? Maybe she's in the lab with Tony. Something up?"
Bucky growled, "she took all my shirts."
Nat snorted, "how do you know it was her?"
I asked FRIDAY for a security video, she snuck into my room and left with all my shirts."
Clint cracked, nearly falling off his chair. Bucky turned on his heel and stomped out, presumably headed to the labs where Tony was.
"Worth it?" Steve asked.
Clint and Nat looked down to where the mechanic sat on the floor between Steve and Nat. A wistful sigh leaving her, she held up a finger, "FRIDAY? Did you get pictures?"
"As you requested Ms. Pagan."
She giggled, squealing lightly as she hugged and shook herself for a moment. "Definitely worth it!" She popped up to her feet and kissed Steve on the cheek, high fiving Nat and ruffling Clint's hair. "Gonna go return his shirts now."
"She's gonna kill him," Clint sighed.
"I think it's good for him," Nat answered.
Steve nodded, still looking at his newspaper, a smirk slipping into place.
