Anyway, I'm not done yet being insane about this movie.
I was on the fence about Red, White and Royal Blue the first time I watched it, but then I got to this part of the movie.
The thing is, I already expected what the next scene would look like. He looks happy and touched there. He was so fucking scared of his identity and people's reaction to it, but he looks so relieved in this frame. I know what we're gonna see next. It's an upbeat rom-com, after all. Of course it's gonna be a happy ending.
But I did not expect the sudden urge to fucking bawl at this frame.
Thousands of people, just in that place alone, are standing there with queer flags, proud and happy and supportive. They fly the flags and cheer for Henry, showing him that, it's okay, there's nothing wrong with you, we support you, we're behind you.
Technically speaking, this scene is for Henry, but I saw that scene too, and I was overcome with the feeling Henry must be feeling while looking at that crowd.
It's hard to hold on to hope lately with so many barrage of queerphobic rhetorics, public figures, and laws taking the forefront of world news, but these people are there. Those people cheering for Henry? They're cheering for us too. They fly their flags for us too.
Thousands of people are marching in front of Buckingham Palace alone, and there are throusands more in many other places. These people are there for Henry. For you. For me. For all queers who are watching this movie.
This movie is telling us that thousands, and maybe even millions, people out there still have our backs. That queer people aren't alone.
We're not alone.
Aside from the love-making scene (showing the tender, meaningful side of intimate moment between two queer guys, instead of rushed and almost voyeuristic queer sex scenes shown in most media), this is now my favorite scene in the entire movie, and even if I have rewatched it three times already, I still feel so giddy and emotionally eased at this part.
I just fucking love this movie so much.

As much as I have a dislike for people making children of oc/canon ships, you drew the child so adorable😭😭💕💕
I can see the child being a small addition in the show /pos
ISTG I LOVE YOUR ARTTTT IM SOBBING 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💕💕💕💕💕💕
THANK YOU! It means a ton to hear Ivy looks like he could actually be in the show. ;w;/
I knew when I posted Ivy that there's some people who aren't all too into seeing fan children. It's not everyone's cup of tea. But the love I got for Ivy Darling really made my heart warm. He's so silly! I love my silly puppet family so so much.

I'm aware that the message of the final episode of saiki k (when he finally stopped the volcano) is that you may not know your friends completely, everyone have thoughts or things about themselves that they hide for fear, shame or more reasons but that's okay
you will never know a person completely and it doesn't need to be something bad, it's something normal, the thing is that you must accept that fact
maybe wait until the other is ready to spill the tea or just accept that you may never know
saiki's friends may not know saiki completely, at the end they accept it in the episode and wait for him to be ready because that's what friends are for
at least that's the message I got
but damn
I wish they were a little bit more insistent
I know that it could had been a cliché ending if he revealed his powers on the last episode butbutbut
