Information: The Madrigals (also known as La Familia Madrigal) are a magical and famous family featured in the 2021 Disney animated feature film, Encanto. They live in a magical house called the Casa Madrigal, which is located in the Colombian village of Encanto.

Well, judging by what they wear:

Mirabel: Teal

Abuela Alma: Magenta

Bruno: Green

Julieta: Light blue

Agustín: Dark blue

Pepa: Gold

Félix: Yellow

Isabela: Dark blue as a base, with lots of bright colored accents (this is what she wears by choice; her main lavender dress represents the "pretty flower girl" role she feels forced to play)

Just finished watching Encanto so here's my cursed headcanon–

Casita is magic or is it haunted? The miracle was blessed, as we saw, following the death of Pedro. Was this an honour of him sacrificing himself for his family or is it his spirit that brings La Casa Madrigal to life? In this essay I will explain how Casita is basically Disney's version of Hill House and how every member who dies is now gonna be part of the "magic" :)

So I just watched Encanto on disney plus today, and I was thinking a bit on it and now I wanna make a Warriors AU based on it! BE WARNED - ENCANTO AND WARRIORS SPOILERS AHEAD! Encanto: How is the Magic dying anyway?

I know that Encanto’s story will be about the Magic of the Madrigal Family disappearing/dying, but my only question is:

How?

How is the Magic dying? What is causing it to fade? Something must be the cause of Casa Madrigal cracking and the Family Members losing their Gifts.

Or... maybe it’s not *something* that’s causing the Magic to die. Maybe it’s... *SOMEONE*!

I know the Disney Animated Movies of the past few years didn’t really have any Villains in them (the last real villains I can think of include Mother Gothel, King Candy, Ernesto de la Cruz from Coco and Ercole from Luca), but what if there is an Antagonist in Encanto?

What if this whole Dying Magic thing is the doing of someone holding a grudge against the Madrigals and this is how they take revenge on them? What if someone found the source of the Madrigals’ Magic and decided to tamper with it, and it’s up to Mirabel to save it?

I could be wrong about this too. Maybe there is no Villain in Encanto. Maybe the disappearing Magic is just caused by some evil Force of Nature. I still know very little about Encanto, so I don’t know what will suddenly cause the Madrigal’s Magic to die. 

Still, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of the movie having a Villain...

Muse Profile: Mirabel Madrigal

“I like this new foundation. It isn’t perfect, but neither are we.”

Fandom: Disney/Encanto

Bio: Mirabel is the third youngest in the second generation of Madrigals, coming after Camilo and Antonio and before Dolores, Isabella, and Luisa. Along with them, she lives in Casa Madrigal-which she affectionately calls Casíta-which is the centerpiece of the Encanto, the town a miracle granted her Abuela Alma refuge in when she was young. This miracle also granted every Madrigal since a magical gift, whether it be food that heals you, visions, or simply super strength.

Well, almost all of them. At age 5, Mirabel was the first and only member of her family to receive no gift. The entire family, most of all her Abuela, shunned her for this fact, but over the years she tried to take it in stride and help her family in small ways. However, one faithful week changed everything, and now the entire family-including Bruno, the family’s former pariah who was once thought lost-welcome her as part of the familía Madrigal.

Mirabel, above all else, has a kind, boundless heart, and a desire to help others even though she has no gift of her own. Deep down, however, she’s jealous because of her so-called “abnormality”, and desperately wants a chance to prove that she’s more than that. Even after the events of her story, she’s still a little jealous…but in a less constricting way, given that she’s been accepted as one of the family. As well as being resourceful and supporting, Mirabel is definitely someone you want on your side.

Verses:

V1: waiting on a miracle-Any time within the canon of the movie, whether before, during, or after. Just normal Mirabel doing her best to help people!

V2: the gift of empatía-An AU where Mirabel did receive a gift. Befitting her boundless heart, she has the ability to see what people are feeling: An aura corresponding to an emotion Inside Out-style is always over people from her P.O.V, as well as a single word indicating what is making them feel that way. From there, she can take steps to make them feel better, or keep them that way if they already feel good. However, she’s as stressed and bended to being perfect as every other Madrigal as a result.

Anything Else?: Despite the fact that I am doing my utmost best research on Colombian and Hispanic culture, as well as making use of my limited Spanish, I am not Colombian. If I am getting anything wrong in this regard with Mirabel, it’s better to just tell me what I did rather than get upset. It’ll only help me get better at rping this wonderful girl in the long run!

20th Century Studios has dropped a brand new trailer for the upcoming coming-of-age animated film Ron’s Gone Wrong, starring Zach Galifianakis (Missing Link) and Jack Dylan Grazer (Luca). The film is currently scheduled to make its debut in theaters on Friday, October 22, which pits it against three highly-anticipated ensemble films in the form of Dune, The French Dispatch, and The Harder They Fall.

The new Ron’s Gone Wrong trailer, which you can check out below along with the new poster, features a middle-schooler named Barney as he finally gets the B-Bot that he’s been dreaming of. However, his ticket to finally having a social life turns out to be defective as Ron, his new best friend, causes him unintentional dilemmas due to missing codes.

Ron’s Gone Wrong will feature a touching and hilarious look at the budding friendship between a middle-school boy and his faulty robot.
