El Cuero from South America.
El Cuero, meaning "the hide" or "leather," resembles a primitive stingray with wide pectoral fins and a barb-less, whip-like tail. Its eyes are on stalks, and it boasts an extendable mouth akin to a sturgeon. Witnesses describe razor-sharp claws along its fringes, used to secure prey, and there are even suggestions that it utilizes hunting knives from previous victims as weapons. El Cuero's size ranges from 2 to 5 feet across, weighing approximately 65 pounds.
According to South American natives, El Cuero is dubbed the "aquatic tiger" due to its reputation as a voracious predator. Similar to a crocodile, the creature is said to surge out of the lake, overpowering its prey, often humans. It allegedly employs a proboscis to puncture the skin and extract internal organs and blood. El Cuero is said to seize individuals and animals while they bathe or cross the water, employing an irresistible contraction by folding upon itself. Using its claws, it wraps its prey, drags it to the bottom, and consumes it. The creature is described as incredibly strong, with the ability to drag a horse into the water. Despite its strength, there are claims of hunting methods involving nooses or throwing cactus chunks into the water, causing El Cuero to pierce itself.
Countless, albeit controversial, human attacks have been reported. In one account, a woman washing clothes by the lakeside claimed that El Cuero surged from the water like a crocodile, swiftly engulfing her sleeping baby. The creature then disappeared into the water as rapidly as it had emerged.

The Amaru or Katari (Aymara) a majestic twin headed serpent like creature depicted across Andean Civilizations, Originally said to have been capable of transcending spiritual and otherworldly boundaries for the world was Separated into the realm of the gods and birds, Hanan Pacha or the world above; the world where mankind resides the Kay Pacha or world of the present; and finally the underground realm of the dead or the Ukhu Pacha, the world below. where its said the Amaru would move the world by its shear size and force of will, creating many of the mountainous outcroppings seen in the region, or creating devastating earthquakes. This would gain the great beasts the ire of the of gods and leading to cataclysmic and deadly conflict's the great serpents deaths would create vast mountain ranges.
The revered creatures lore and depictions would be altered to suit changing society's and foreign colonial influence trying and suppress Indigenous beliefs and values, some Incan rulers even tried to harness this power by adopting name for themselves to try and cement their political gain . Eventually this lead to depictions that suited a more chimeric monstrous for, reflecting its old world counter parts, adopting traits from many other creature, to now be defeated by mere humans.
some cultures preserved and even re incorporated these new aspects with the old, creating hybrid depictions and gaining very broad symbolism such as the economy of water, and tending to the land, and even more cosmological aspects of space or wisdom, or simple fundamentals of the creativity of the peoples, sometimes these new Amaru could be seen clashing with each other. representing the more destructive side of nature, devastating the peoples and the lands, too only be stopped by the storms themselves or through the intervention of their old rivals, now taking a new cast of god's. once again through death creating the Mantaro valley returning to their earthly roots.

Mario OC: Prince Andres
I adopted this Mario Bros oc from a friend of mine. This is Prince Andres. He's the ruler of a kingdom called the Wool Kingdom and the inhabitants are llamas. 🦙
Prince Andres is South Native American (Incan). He's kind-hearted & will do anything to protect his llamas. His original design was different when I adopted him. I redesigned him to fit the whole llama theme. He wears hoof -shaped slippers too! 🦙
See the tags (#llama pllaza oc) (#llama pllaza arts) for more of my art!

I've been a longtime fan of the Emperor's New Groove and Kuzco is my favorite character. I took inspiration from Kuzco's design for Andres' design. His personality is the complete opposite of Kuzco's though.

SWAG77 celebrates Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) by featuring the Star Wars Yuuzhan Vong or the Grysks, known as the Yuuzhan Vong Lite. Check out their true appearance, unique humanoid masquers and elaborate celebratory Dia de Muertos costumes! The Yuuzhan Vong honor their dead with great appreciation in celebration to travel across the rainbow bridge onto the next life. Dying is a natural part of life and based on their Gods. In real life, the Yuuzhan Vong are based off the Aztec and Mayan Pre-Columbia Meso-American and South American cultures. Unsure Disney Lucasfilm will keep that attribute of them since they are villains. But we will keep it. The top image is a high priestess The middle image is a warrior
The last image is a bureaucrat-administrator.
