Battle Theme: Battle! Bug Type Expert by Maxo
Height: 5'6" (167 cm)
Birthday: May 5th
Current Residence: Nacrene, Unova
Tumblr media
General Backstory (mentions of abuse and neglect in first bullet)
Pecha was born in Nimbasa, Unova to her father, Calhoun Webb, and her mother whom shall not be named. Her mother often would neglect Pecha and her younger sibling, Rawst, when their father was working or on work trips (which he tried to keep seldom). Her parents' marriage would end when Pecha and Rawst were left in a car alone on a sweltering summer's day when Pecha was 5 and Rawst was 3. Calhoun managed to get full custody of his children. After this, their maternal grandparents became a bigger presence in their lives as they stepped up to help their dad raise them. All five would live in the same household for the rest of Pecha's childhood.
After her parent's divorce, Calhoun would take Pecha and Rawst on many of his work trips which involved lots of camping and bug hunting. Pecha was a child prodigy when it came to bug pokemon catching and battling, winning many tournaments in different regions including the famous Bug-Catching Contest in The National Park in Johto. Her lifelong passion for the outdoors came from the many adventures she had with her father.
Tumblr media
Once the kids were reaching their teen years, their grandmother, Leppa, would press Calhoun to enroll his children in school instead of just traveling with them around the world. Naranja-Uva Academy, being one of the best schools and in their grandparent's home region of Paldea, was the one Leppa pushed for and Calhoun decided was best for his children. Their cousin, Aman, also attended the same school and both got close to their cousin as a result.
Pecha, ever the people pleaser from a very young age, became a bit of an overachiever. Her track in school was Battle Studies and she not only made it through the gym challenge during her first year's treasure hunt, but also would beat the elite four and champion to become a champion trainer. She prided herself in having straight a's, being elected as class president, and winning any and all battle tournaments the academy would hold.
Tumblr media
Pecha finished her schooling at the age of 18 and would spend a lot of time making her team top-notch. She had the dream of being a bug-type gym leader due to being a life-long Galar League Fan and being discouraged at seeing how the bug gym leader failed to use bug-types to their true potential. However, when the time would come for the Gym Leader Tournament in Castelia City, Pecha was in a relationship with someone who wasn't very supportive of battling (basically having Team Plasma ideals) and the gaslighting and stress of wondering if she was hurting her pokemon would ultimately lead to her failing to become the gym leader of Castelia, losing her childhood dream to Burgh.
After breaking up with her partner, Pecha entered a dark period of her life where she felt aimless. Her whole life she had a goal and yet suddenly, that was gone. In an effort to help her out of her slump, Calhoun, her father, would take her on a trip to Galar to explore the cities and clothing shops (something they never did when going to other regions as Cal usually would only camp with his children). the trip helped reset her, but her spirits were lifted more when Cal offered a job at his Bug Sanctuary as a research Assistant.
Feeling like she was more back on her feet, Pecha began to explore hobbies of hers. She’s become rather popular on social media, known by her simple username pechabugg, where she shares her love of exploring nature, bug types, and also beauty products.
Miscellaneous Info
Due to being around bug types her whole life, Pecha smells like bugs to pokemon. This attracts bugs but also flying bird types.
The most embarrassing thing that can happen or be said, will happen or be said by Pecha (Pecha’s law)
Pecha is terrified of bird like pokemon because of a bad experience she has as a small child where she was carried off by a corviknight. She still has scars on her abdomen from the ordeal.
Pecha has been diagnosed with ADHD since she was 10.
Pecha can hold grudges for a very long time when she feels like something unfair has happened. She is very quiet and verrrry petty when angry to the point that Aman land Rawst steer clear of her if they see that she's in a bad mood.

Favorite Color:
White, baby pink, peach
IQ: 125
Traits:
Loving, loyal, good listener
Backstory:
Emi was born non-verbal, and because of it, she grew up feeling heavily misunderstood and set apart.  It wasn’t that she didn’t want to talk, she simply couldn’t bring her mouth to move right, much to her own dismay.  Outside of her brothers and the Veiko family, Emi spends most of her time alone, hyperfixating on creative outlets.  Though she feels her ASD held her back from some things, she has always fought hard to achieve the things she desired.  Dedicating a lot of time and focus on ways to speak her thoughts, Emi begins using an AAC at age 13, and slowly learns how to speak by her late teens.  Although she still struggles to say more than a few words or phrases at a time, she’s surrounded by loving people who take the time to learn her mannerisms, and be patient when she needs patience.
Relationships:
Mother (Iria):
Iria was always very patient with Emi. She may have struggled occasionally in understanding how to best suit her daughters needs, but she never viewed Emi as a burden, and instead put a significant amount of effort into making sure Emi had all the accommodations and patience she needed to thrive as a young child. Iria is very caring and affectionate with her daughter too, taking time to go shopping with her or bake with her and other not-uncommon mother-daughter activities.
Father (Dominik):
Emi’s ASD was genetically passed to her from her father, and because of it, the two have a strong understanding of each other and the unique things that make them different than allistic people. Whether it be texture sensitivities, overstimulation awareness, or other things that some parents might have difficultly understanding, Dominik has always understood.
Wyatt (Brother):
Emi has always been extremely close with her brother.  Growing up fully non-verbal until her late teens, Emi struggled greatly to get her thoughts across.  However, she and Wyatt always had a close connection with one another, and she always felt like he knew what she was trying to say without her saying anything at all.  Not knowing social boundaries, in her youth Emi’s attachment to Wyatt sometimes got in the way of his own wants and needs, but she didn’t fully understand that until she was older.
Niko Veiko:
Emi has had puppy eyes for Niko since she was little, but because of their 3-year age difference, and his social lifestyle, the two didn’t have a ton of time to connect until Emi was 19.  She always saw through his mask of constant happiness, and over time he realized there was no one he really felt as unspokenly understood with.  She confesses to him, after practicing for a long while on verbally telling him “I like you”, and the two become a couple.  Niko and Emi keep their relationship a secret for as long as they can, heavily fearing the Bekker Boys (Wyatt and Dominik), but they eventually come clean.
Other:
Allergies:
N/A
Food Palette:
Texture is a massive deal for Emi, so she usually enjoys foods that aren’t overloaded with spice, or have much goop, stringy texture, or rubbery texture.  She also is a big fan of sweets.
Music taste:
Indie
Examples: Dodie, Delaney Bailey

More random secrets from random people! [True or False]
Created by joybucket
These are all random secrets from random people that I found posted on the Internet. Put an X by the secrets you share, and elaborate if you wish. I really enjoy these surveys, and I hope you do, too. Have fun! :)
I keep feeling like I'm not good enough. I wish I were somebody else. I am at my breaking point on so many different levels. I'm seriously considering quitting my job. I'm so deeply lonely. I am secretly in love with someone who is thirty years older than I am. I am struggling. I'm finding it hard to cope lately. I want to talk to a therapist, but I honestly don't know how. I don't think I've ever been in love. I don't feel like I'm worth being helped. Sometimes I find it hard to be left alone with my own thoughts. I'm so impatient and easily discouraged sometimes. If something doesn't work out the way I want it to on the first try, I just give up. I was surprised, but it came as a huge relief when I finally decided not to have kids. I get angry at every mother who doesn't love her children as much as I would love mine if I could have them. I think it's thrilling not to know what comes next. I believe in God, but I haven't mentioned it to anyone in my family because I think they'll judge me. Fear of Hell once kept me from committing suicide. My daughter is what keeps me from committing suicide. All I want is to sit down for ten minutes and not worry about a single. damn. thing. I feel lost and really afraid. I'm in love with my friend, and he doesn't know it. I adopt due to depression. I don't want to give birth to my own flesh and blood. I've never doubted the existence of God. We're all a part of something, and it's big and important and magical. I wish I could have watched her grow up. My dreams seem so far away. I'm jealous of the people who are close with their siblings. There are so many mistakes I wish I would have made while I had the chance to. I refuse to let people get close to me in fear of getting hurt. Deep down, I always feel as though people don't really like me. I am quite worried about not being able to find work during this COVID pandemic. I seem to be in a very negative state of mind lately. Every time I wake up, I want to sleep again so I won't have to feel anything.... I'm starting to believe true love is only for thin and beautiful women. I'm struggling so much more than I could ever admit. I don't know how to pull myself out of this. I am deeply unhappy, and I don't know what to do about it. I believe in God again. I stalk myself on Instagram just to see what other people see. I'm a closet Catholic. I feel like people are lying every time they tell me I'm beautiful. I know I am capable of so much more. I play the lotto so I can afford to adopt a child. I would genuinely cut all the fat off my body if I didn't think I'd die of blood loss. I hate being the ugly friend. I'm nervous about having sex, because I'm scared my partner will judge my body. (in the past) I felt really ignored when I felt horrible. I asked for help, and I didn't receive it. I want to tell someone I'm suicidal, but I'm afraid they'll treat me like I'm lesser than them if I do, which is the reason why I haven't yet. The man I married raped me before we even dated. I am not actually a lesbian. I am afraid of men. I like someone; I really do...but I am scared. I keep feeling as though I don't know myself. I fear I will spend my life waiting for a love story that doesn't exist. I feel like I'll never fit in anywhere. I have a happy personality with a sad soul. I thought I would feel better after the divorce, but instead I just feel absolutely pathetic for being divorced when I'm so young. I want my old life back. I have been going through so many life changes lately, and I haven't been myself. I am getting tired of not being ok. I'm growing increasingly concerned about my job security. I'm single, because I would rather be alone than with a guy who makes me feel alone. I really need to start therapy, but I'm stubbornly procrastinating taking the next steps. I think I need therapy again. Since losing my virginity, I haven't been able to call myself a Christian. I think my biggest secret is that I'm going to be ok. Life has been getting better than I thought. Today I will make a vow: I will NEVER settle for a boring life. I feel like we're at a really amazing point in history & it's amazing to be a part of it. I have more power than I know. I'd rather play board games on the living room floor than get wasted at parties. I wasted my childhood trying to be grown up. I finally discovered that my greatest fear is not being alone; it's being vulnerable. I'm sorry for not saying all the things I should have said. Everything is amazing and nobody is happy. I am nostalgic, but I am also strong. Maybe this world is another planet's hell. I wonder what it feels like to look at yourself without wishing you looked like someone else. I often wonder if life is easier for other people or if they're just better at faking it. I'm not brave enough to take the risks that would make me truly happy. I married my husband because he reminded me of the man I loved. My creative gifts are worth the mental illness I've suffered for them. Christmas time is my favorite time of year....and I am an Orthodox Jew. My shyness has cost me everything that mattered to me. I always wonder if I've met the person I'm going to marry yet. I wonder how many times my life has been saved because I was running late. All I want is a real conversation with another human being about something that actually matters. I was happier on my graduation day than I was on my wedding day. 👩‍🎓 I love my autistic brain. It makes me who I am, and I love me! I'm afraid I am missing opportunities to meet someone because we are all wearing headphones! 🎧 I wish I had never become a mother. I knew it was a mistake as I walked down the aisle. 💒 I love my family, but most of the time I prefer solitude. I'm fairly certain my wife would be more distraught over losing her phone than losing me. I found my soulmate after my wedding. I cannot clap on beat. 👏 I have a drunk alter-ego that has her own name. I pretend I hate it, but I actually love my body. I remember every time someone called me fat. I thought I'd be happier and more excited to be his girlfriend.

Kanna Kuwajima - Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba OC
Tumblr media
“This is the Land of the Rising Sun, I will not allow your existence to desecrate this beautiful nation. Let me guide your soul to the after life.”
Aged 21 years old ( different ages can be played upon request )
Member of the Demon Slayer Corps
The current Thunder Hashira/Pillar
Kanna is a woman who stands at 167 cm ( 5′6″ ), she is characterized by her rather athletic build, though has plenty of distinct feminine features that are very striking. She is able to use a sword with a straight edged blade since she has enough physical prowess to decapitate a demon little to no problems. Despite a lot, Kanna is very agile, which can give her an advantage in any sort of conflict with ease. She has an hourglass body figure, though it’s rare visible, usually covered by her haori and uniform, she is the kind the that wears a skirt rather than the standard uniform pants. Her hair is black, often compared to the dark stormy sky during a thunderstorm at night, it progressively gets lighter and descends into a light yellow at the tips. It’s usually held in pigtails and pinned with two lightning pins. Her eyes are an orchid purple, making them very striking, though her hair seems to be her most notable feature when it comes to everything. To end this all off, she has a creamy peach skin complexion.
It’s not hard to see that she is a Thunder Breath Technique user, having mastered all of the forms that there are, much like Zenitsu and Kaigaku she was trained by Jigoro Kuwajima aka Gramps, who happens to be her biological grandfather. With her advanced sword skills, Kanna relies heavily on her instincts when it comes to anything combat related, as a result, fights are more than usually always in her favor since she can anticipate a whole lot. Fighting and combat are incredibly difficult because of this since she’s often described as being extremely unpredictable.
Kanna has the most wonderful people skills and truly cares about the happiness and well-being of others. People see her as a giver. Her primary way to evaluate people and situations is externally and this means that she considers everything based on how well it fits into her values systems. This makes her incredibly patient, understanding and kind. Because she has an outward focus on other people, she sees possibilities where others see obstacles. Kanna tends to have a natural ability to love, nurture, and care for others as well as bring out the best in them. She thoroughly enjoys seeing other people happy and having a good time. Kanna is extremely unselfish, but some may think she uses natural people skills to manipulate others. Kanna gets her nickname “The Protagonist” (and “mentor” or “teacher”) because she supports others. She genuinely cares about bringing out the best in others, and will use her skills to do so. People with her personality type will feel challenged by spending time alone. Being extraverted, this can seem like a punishment rather than the opportunity for rest and reflection that it really is. She finds herself filling her life with non-stop activity and more relationships than she can reasonably handle to avoid this discomfort. It’s essential that she consider her own needs to avoid burnout and being taken advantage of by others. Compared to other extraverted personality types, Kanna has more difficulty expressing her opinions and letting people get to know her at an intimate level. When she does express her beliefs, it’s not likely that they will be too personal. The main reason for this is that Kanna doesn’t want to alienate anyone. However, she then runs the risk of feeling lonely even when constantly surrounded by others because it’s hard for her to reveal her true self.
At a young age, Kanna’s home life wasn’t easy by any means, often being quite rowdy and causing trouble for her parents. As a child, she was incredibly outgoing and very much acted like a tomboy, being far from refined like her parents wanted her to be. She was often subjected to having her social interaction limited because of the way that she ended up acting around other children, even though she was nothing but friendly. Time and time again, she got told that no one would want her or accept her for the way that she ended up acting. Eventually a breaking point was reached and it all came crashing down when her father and mother openly ridiculed her out in public. Kanna was only 7 when this all happened. Not long after, she ran away to live with her grandfather that her family no longer associated with. A friendly traveler was able to help her get their safely without getting harmed or anything.
From that time forward, she trained with her grandfather, the retired Thunder Hashira. There were no problems teaching her from such a young age especially with her strong fighting spirit. She learned very quickly and had little struggle when it came to the various Thunder Breathing forms, being a very promising Demon Slayer in the making. Much like everyone else, at age 15 she went to Final Selection upon approval from her grandfather that she was very much ready to move forward. Before the Final Selection process happened, she briefly met both Giyuu and Sabito who were also there. She did happen to be quite chatty with them. Of course, she didn’t hear of the tragedy until much later on. After about a year of advancing her skills and mastering them, Kanna filled the vacant Thunder Hashira position. Through the years, she had the opportunity to go back and visit her grandfather, meeting both Kaigaku and Zenitsu. It was very much intended for Kanna to take Kaigaku on as her Tsuguko, but this didn’t happen due to constant clashes in he and Kanna’s personalities. Zenitsu becoming her next consideration, though she very much waited on him to get a better hold on himself so that she could.
She is seen to have good relations with all the other Hashira and she always tries her hardest to stay in the good graces of all of them since they are her allies. Despite having two biological siblings that Kanna has never met, she has plenty of self proclaimed ones. Primarily Shinobu and Mitsuri, very much acting like the elder sister to the other two female Hashira. Of course, Zenitsu being the other one, mostly since she promised her grandfather that she would keep an eye on him and look after her. So, it’s not uncommon for her to periodically check up on him, even if she comes off as somewhat overbearing and he doesn’t want to have her around, she still puts forth the effort to try, even if it ends up being a major pain. When it came to the whole situation with Tanjiro and Nezuko, she remained heavily unbiased and didn’t really offer a proper opinion, though she very much understands the situation and fully supports Tanjiro having his sister around.
SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT!!!
Just like all the other Hashira, Kanna very much struggled with the death of Kyojuro and it was hard for her to cope since it was so sudden. If anything, she just struggled to come to terms with the fact that one of the strongest Hashira had ended up dying. It was just hard for her to wrap her brain around. However, when the time came, she readily accepted Yūna into their Hashira ranks, mostly because she was sure that her predecessor would’ve wanted her to fit in rather than be some sort of outcast. Once again, Kanna willingly added the other girl to her list of self proclaimed siblings. She and Yūna becoming a duo. Prior to the Red Light District Arc, she did offer Zenitsu a lot of encouragement when it came to the mission he would be participating in. Also including how important and crucial he was to the mission that he was about to go on. She was there to bid him farewell and good luck before he left with Tengen.
When it came to the final training before the final battle, Kanna worked with Yūna to make a stealth training exercise, just so that everyone wasn’t so spread thin. Admittedly, she and Yūna made the exercise very difficult, since it was stealth and it was meant to be hard since it would be such a huge asset. Nothing can compare to the amount of strenuous training that she undertook just to make sure that she was prepared. Though, more than anything it was used to cope with the unexpected passing of her grandfather, who had committed seppuku. Such a thing was incomprehensible to her, especially since he had the person who practically raised her after she had up and left her parents. In the end, it kind of broke her will to fight anymore with the fear that she would lose a lot more because of the final battle that lie ahead. Yūna was the one who helped her pull it all together, since she knew as well as anyone that they would probably need all the strength they had to achieve victory.
During the final battle, Kanna was constantly drifting between different fights to help the best that she possibly could. Mostly being caught up in the fight that was happening between Zenitsu and Kaigaku then attending to Zenitsu’s wounds the best that she possibly could before she moved onto the next fight. It was extremely exhausting, but she did all that she possibly could to help with what was going on. Along the way, she did sustain a fairly life threatening injury, but kept fighting despite how bad that it was. Of course, she fought alongside the few remaining Hashira as everything came to a close. She nearly succumbed to her injury and spent a long while just recovering from it, though it allowed for a lot of self reflection on her part and she was frequented by Yūna and Zenitsu throughout her recovery process. With the three others, she attended the last Hashira meeting before seeking to live a peaceful life at her grandfather’s estate that he left to her.

Everything Wrong with ACOFAS: A Rant  Part Four
Disclaimer: This is the fourth and final part of this series and will continue from pages 151 to 229. Part one can be found here. Part two can be found here. Part three can be found here. These page numbers come from the UK paperback edition of A Court of Frost and Starlight. This is my own opinion of the book - the writing, the grammar, the characters, etc. I won’t be commenting on anything that may have been plagiarized or that has been ripped off from the history of other cultures as SJM has a tendency to do. However, if there is something you pick up on about these subjects, feel free to comment them and I will add them to the post with credit. If you disagree with my opinions, I’m sorry and hope you see the error in your ways.
Page 152: ‘...felt like a decadence.’ I’m sorry, felt like a decadence? That’s not how you use that word.
Page 153: Feyre is drawing Rhys in the nude and all I can think of is draw me like one of your french girls Jack.
Page 154: Whilst I’m happy that SJM is showing everyone suffering from a hangover because of all the drinking they did in the previous chapter, I want to know why Feyre couldn’t just use her magic to get rid of hers. And everybody else’s. If she’s said that she could use her magic to remove the pain of grief, why can’t she do this?
Page 155: The paragraphing in this book is so messed up. I’m going to type out this little bit exactly as it is printed in the book, look: ‘But two massive figures filled the archway of the dining room, and Rhys paused.
Azriel and Cassian, having crept up on cat-soft feet, were also wearing their Illyrian leathers.
And from their shit-eating grins, I knew this would not end well.’ What is this? It’s such a mess.
Page 155: ‘Tradition indeed.’
Page 156: Everyone keeps going on about how wealthy the Night Court is and I still don’t understand where they’re getting their money from. Do the people of the Night Court have to pay tax? Does Rhys have an amount of money that he puts back into Velaris for the upkeep of it? And why is Feyre saying that ‘paperwork could wait’? Uh, no. No, it can’t. The people of her court can’t spend the Solstice like she is because their homes are wrecked, they’ve lost family members. Feyre abandons her duties as High Lady to fuck around with friends and we’re supposed to believe that she’s a decent ruler? I don’t think so.
Page 164: ‘What is.’
Page 165: So Rhys upset Tamlin when he went to go and yell at the poor sod over in Spring Court a few chapters back and it upset Tamlin so much that it made him throw out all of Lucien’s clothes because he ‘wishes to remain in solitude’? So, basically, this was all Rhys’s fault and he doesn’t face any consequences for it.
Page 167: I’m so happy that Elain is making it very clear that she doesn’t want a mate, but I wish Feyre would stop going on about how good of a male Lucien is to her. And she says to Elain ‘You couldn’t say a single word to him’ as if it’s Elain’s job to make him feel comfortable? Elain wants nothing to do with him! Feyre needs to stop pressuring people.
Page 167: ‘Solstice. It was Solstice.’ WHY
Page 168: Aaaaand they’re drinking again. Feyre abandoned her work for friends and alcohol. I’m not okay with it but I’m even less okay with how common and casual wine is used here.
Page 169: ‘Tell me what.’
Page 171: ‘Illyrian babies indeed.’
Page 172: Do you remember a couple of years ago when high school AUs were all the rage in fanfiction? That is what this book reads like, only high school AUs managed to make me cry on a few occasions.
Page 172: So it’s an ‘Illyrian custom’ for the heated shed, birchin, and a bunch of naked warriors ‘sitting in the steam, sweating’. But... Why? And can somebody please tell me what a birchin is?
Page 178: One of the characters gets red sexy underwear as a present, which is fine. But in a kid’s book? No, no, no, no. No!! A twelve year old could be reading this! What the fuck?
Page 179: ‘Against the onslaught of Nesta.’ Wow, SJM is really trying her hardest here to villainize Nesta.
Page 184: ‘rare, vibrant paint from the continent.’ This line was just thrown in here without any explanation at all! Why is the paint rare? How did Azriel get it from the continent? Why is it only available on the continent?
Page 193: These last couple of pages really did it for me with Cassian’s character. He follows Nesta home after she says she doesn’t want him to? He yells at her and tells her to ‘go somewhere else’ even though he knows she can’t? He reaches for her hand after she’s told him many, many times to leave her alone? This is creepy. This is stalker behavior. And if they get together (which we all know that they will), this is fucking borderline abuse. It’s controlling and toxic and unhealthy, which could be said about all of SJM’s romances but heigh ho.
Page 194: What is ‘faelight’?
Page 201: ‘Would it indeed be a gift for you?’
Page 201: Also, why is the mountains with the stars the Night Court’s symbol? What’s the history behind it?
Page 201: Feyre’s toes have ‘curled’ three times in this book and I’m just thankful that the Fae can’t develop arthritis.
Page 202: I can’t... I can’t read this sex scene. I can’t do it. It’s too much. ‘My breasts turned achingly heavy.’ OH MY GOD. Not only is this a kid’s book but.... It’s also just disgusting.
Page 202: ‘Brazen possessiveness.’ This can’t even be read as sex positivism  anymore. It’s violent, possessive smut. Did somebody say BDSM? (Wait, wait. BDSM requires consent and safe words.) Also, if you want to write about sex positively then talk a bit about protection? And consent? And making sure that everyone is comfortable? And for goodness sake, don’t add this to a kid’s book. I made a post that goes into more detail about this here.
Page 204: ‘How you let me do such naughty, terrible things to you.’ FUCKING WHAT?! DO I EVEN NEED TO EXPLAIN HOW BAD THIS IS?!??!
Page 205: ‘Undiluted, utter predator’ You cannot look me in the eye and tell me that this was SJM’s attempts at adding in some sex positivity. To be honest, I’m, starting to think that this whole book was just fan service. SJM knew that her readers wanted the wall scene and here we have a whole book dedicated to the build up of it. NOTHING HAPPENS IN THIS FUCKING BOOK!
Page 206: Rhysand just climaxed at a picture of his child.
Page 209: It’s incredibly sweet that Rhys bought a house for Feyre. Really, no, it is. And the ‘build a nursery, Feyre’ is also sweet. But A) the money side of things needs explaining. B) Why does nobody want to be at the House of Wind and what’s the point of even having it if nobody uses it? C) Rhysand bought Feyre a house when many of his people are currently homeless due to the wars... Right.
Page 211: At this point, Rhysand should just leave Tamlin alone. I don’t care what his intentions were. And seriously, is this the way that High Lords act with each other? There should be guards there, there should be people there to protect their own High Lord. There should be advisors and- What does the Fae government look like? What are the rules? Is there a jail? A judge? The High Lords act like spoiled, rich children.
Page 214: ‘Alive. It was all alive.’
Page 214: Mor has an estate that sits on ‘three hundred pristine acres.’ I want to know the geography of the courts. Yes, I know, we have a map. But that’s all we have. I want to know about borders (and if there are physical borders that need to be guarded to stop people from coming in to separate courts). Is a passport thing or even papers required to travel between courts? Buckingham Palace has 39 acres of land, including what it sits on. Did SJM do any research? There are whole countries smaller than three hundred acres.
Page 215: ‘She didn’t want to take his joy away from him. Anymore than she already did.’ Mor feels guilty about her sexuality because she won’t be with Azriel and, somehow, fans of the book are okay with that.
Page 222: This may just be me being stupid but I’m confused about ‘Illyrian.’ Rhysand said their children would be Illyrians, Feyre calls him an Illyrian baby. They wear Illyrian leathers and follow Illyrian customs but here: ‘Some part of him was Illyrian still. Always would be. Even if he wished to forget it.’ What does this mean? I’m so confused.
Page 222: Do you know what might be a better act of feminism then having girls train to fight? Having the boys of all the camps be allowed to leave. Being allowed to stop fighting and go and have families.
And that’s it from me, folks! I’ve read this book twice now and my opinion hasn’t changed. It’s boring, problematic, addresses things very poorly. It’s too sexual, there’s too much talk about alcohol and sex. And it really did nothing at all.
Thank you for joining me on this little series! It’s definitely been interesting. Again, if there’s anything that I’ve missed then tell me and I shall write it in. I may do this again with more of SJM’s books but it’s surprisingly time consuming.

Mobile-Friendly OC Masterpost
Apparently the carrd has been acting up, so here’s a post of my original characters! They can also be found here! ♥
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Haru Yamada
Height: 5’8 (177 cm) Pronouns: They/Them
Appearance: Shoulder-blade length black hair that’s prone to frizz. Androgynous. Deep brown eyes. Lithe, but not very fit. Very pale. Age: 27 Birthday: December 5th – Sagittarius Sexuality: Pansexual Personality: While they appear easy-going, Haru is a very observant person and is prone to pick up details others might miss. The info they gain usually isn’t used against others… They just like to know things. A bit irritable after being forced to drop out of grad school due to finances and take over the family coffee shop, “A Coffee or Two.” Haru yearns for knowledge and feels trapped. Haru is very good at regulating their emotions and because of that, they can easily manipulate others. However, they vastly prefer the ‘kill 'em with kindness’ method. They’re very loyal to their friends but prefer to keep their 'circle’ small. A service switch - willing to do whatever it takes to please their partner, though they do get a kick out of teasing. Has a secret 'free use’ kink and wants their partners to use them whenever and however they want.
-
BNHA-Verse Extra Quirk: Rapid Heating Quirk Info: Haru has never been much of a fighter, but their quirk is perfect for the business they run. Haru can rapidly heat up their hands without fear of injury, which helps them to brew coffee and tea as well as ensure things are the perfect temperature. They can get a rough read on temperature just by touching something.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Miho Nakajima
Height: 5’9 (180 cm) Pronouns: She/Her Appearance: Long and thick ash blonde hair that’s usually tied back into a bun. Has two fluffy white ears and a fluffy tail. Sharp canines and sharp nails. Piercing red, feline-like eyes that are usually lined with dark makeup. Thick and strong with a lot of leg muscle. Like a real cat, she has a cute pooch on her stomach that acts as her ‘primordial pouch.’ Tans easily. Age: 25 Birthday: March 8th – Pisces Sexuality: Lesbian Personality: Rather optimistic, but prone to making impulse decisions born from high emotions. She wants to help everyone around her. As a child, she faced bullying for her quirk and Miho can sometimes be quick to take the defensive on comments about it, even if they are innocuous. Prone to being overprotective of those around her, but will back off if someone is uncomfortable. She had a string of relationships that ended due to circumstances out of her hands, so she’s reluctant to commit again. Switch leaning top, but is willing to bottom for people she trusts. A pillow princess at heart, but occasionally she gets pent up and will give her partner such a good time they won’t even know what happened. Rope bunny.
-
BNHA Verse Extra
Quirk: Cat Quirk Info: Much like Tsuyu’s frog quirk, Miho has all the abilities that a cat would have: fast reflexes, sharp claws, heightened sense of smell and hearing, flexibility… You name it, there’s a chance that Miho’s quirk is able to do it. Unlike cats, she does not have any whiskers. (Though she wishes she did!) She’s incredibly agile and plans to become a teacher once she’s finished with grad school. Her hope is to teach at UA.

Danny (Daniel) Glass
Height: 5’5 (165 cm) Pronouns: He/Him Appearance: Striking violet eyes that are always underlined by dark circles from lack of sleep. Black hair (naturally brown) that’s shaved into an undercut on the right side. Intricate floral tattoo on his neck. Russet skin. Short and fairly strong. Age: 30 Birthday: February 10th – Aquarius Sexuality: Bisexual Personality: Danny comes off as stoic but is a rather emotional guy when you get to know him. He cherishes close friendships and doesn’t make time for acquaintances. He can be lax with his studies, but he’s intelligent. He marches to the beat of his own drum and doesn’t really care what other people think about him, though he often still finds himself seeking approval by dressing fashionably. He’s been trying to kick smoking for a year with no success. Currently in Grad School for Architecture and Design, but is constantly questions academia despite enjoying his studies. Has never really been one for long-term relationships because he’s so unwilling to open up, but he wouldn’t reject one outright. Confident, just very quiet. Was in an open adoption as a child and is close with his parents and bio parents. He’s very proud of his heritage as a Native American, his bio parents hailing from the Kiowa tribe. A sub, almost always. He likes to be told what to do and how to do it - prefers rewards over punishments. Not interested in dominating his partners in any way. Prefers soft and romantic sex. Really into JOI, but from lovers only - the videos do nothing for him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alexandre Valentin
Height: 6’3” (193 cm) Pronouns: He/Him Appearance: Long and pale blonde hair, wavy. Deep blue eyes. Lanky with a lot of upper-strength and muscle. (He’s pretty twink-y, though.) Pale skin. Age: 29 Birthday: September 4th — Virgo Sexuality: Demi, Bisexual Personality: A quiet and reserved man. Alexandre prefers to spend time alone and read. He works at a library but does under the table work for extra cash when he feels like buying something nice. Alexandre is extremely morally grey, and has a lot of connections because of it. Flirty when he feels like it, but tends to keep to himself unless someone really interests him. When he does get interested, he falls fast and hard. He’s fairly low-maintenance and doesn’t do well around those who need a lot of attention. A bratty sub and a cruel dom - not picky about which role he takes, though Alexandre prefers lazy morning sex with no real 'roles’ over anything else. Consensual somnophilia kink.
-
BNHA Verse Extra Specialty: ??? (Vigilante) (Underground) Hero Name: Bataille Quirk: Blade Limbs Quirk Info: Alexandre can turn his arms into sharp blades that function just as a sword would. They’re quite heavy, so they require an immense amount of stamina to use. He doesn’t care for hero society and prefers to work in the shadows.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sanguine
Height: 5’4 (152 cm) Appearance: Shoulder-length, curly bubblegum pink hair. Violet eyes. Fat with wide hips and a large bust. (Picrews are not an indication of her body size.) Age: 28 Pronouns: She/Her Birthday: June 6th — Gemini Sexuality: Pan Personality: She loves anything cute and tries to reflect it in her style. She’s a hopeless flirt and romantic, but will respect boundaries if told the back off. Constantly harboring new crushes. She’s almost always tired and can be seen nursing and iced coffee if she’s not napping. She works well in teams and prefers it to solo work. She really loves animals and is a vegan — won’t hesitate to kill anyone who harms an animal in front of her. Her morals are a mystery to those around her, but she knows she’s not exactly a great person when it comes to how she manipulates the people around her. She’s aggressively nosy and likes to know everything she can about her friends and lovers. She has a way of getting people to spill their hearts out to her, only to turn back and use the info on them when she needs something. Somehow, she still has a lot of friends. Very intense in relationships. A true switch. If she’s in charge, she’s a cruel mistress who likes humiliating her partners. Sanguine has no mercy for those who dare to let her dom. A power bottom, for sure. Cream pie kink.
-
BNHA Verse Extra Name - ??? – Refuses to reveal her real name and goes by Sanguine, her villain name.
Specialty: Assassinations Quirk: Blood Manipulation Quirk info: Sanguine spent lots of time training her quirk to be used as a weapon. Her quirk is strongest during the full moon and is generally more effective at night. She can control the blood flow of others, essentially rendering them to puppets. During full moons, she can cut off their airway. Her quirk is best used against one person. She has anemia, though if the condition is related to her quirk is unknown. She’s best used for missions that need a quick and quiet takeout, as she gets tired easily. Because of this, she prefers to take weapons (knives, guns) with her for backup.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ann-Marie Bell
Height: 6'1 (186 cm) Appearance: Tall with an athletic body. Rich, dark brown skin with cool undertones. Wears her hair natural - her hair texture is 4A. She has a nose piercing on the right side of her nose. Age: 155 (Appears to be in her early 30s.) Birthday: April 11th — Aries Pronouns: She/Her, They/Them Sexuality: Bisexual Personality: Very optimistic and easy-going. Despite being a Vampire that is over 100 years old, she still holds onto a zest for life. Ann-Marie is very interested in how people work and what makes people tick. She is fast to form friendships and has a knack for making people feel comfortable, even if they feel a strange aura in her presence. She has only change a few other people in her time as a Vampire - she’s never found anyone willing to stick around with her for that long. Unfortunately, she’s paranoid about her secret getting out, so anyone who knows and doesn’t plan on sticking around is taken care of. (With mercy, but still…) Despite her… interesting method of ending relationships, Ann-Marie doesn’t kill the people she feeds from. A sadistic top, through and through. Can and will use her strap to put her lovers in their place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Elestren
Height: 5'6 (167 cm) Appearance: Average height. Fairly built and stocky. Natural blonde but dyes his hair lavender. (Very meticulous about his appearance.) No piercings or tattoos. Freckly shoulders and legs. Age: 31
Pronouns: He/Him Birthday — January 25th (Aquarius) Sexuality: Pansexual Personality: An evil pseudo-himbo, if you will. Elestren acts very air headed and kind as a front, using his good looks to make the act seem charming. Underneath the surface, Elestren is an extreme manipulator and has always used his looks to get whatever he wanted in life - he doesn’t care how his actions impact the people around him as long as his goals are achieved. Works in the business field but has no real love for it except for the money he makes. Elestren is an extrovert and cycles through groups of friends almost monthly. He doesn’t often find someone he finds worthy of his friendship, and doesn’t care enough to hold the things people tell him in confidence against them. It’s one of the few positives of him - he’ll never tell your secrets because he doesn’t find them interesting enough to talk about. Elestren is, however, a hopeless 'romantic’ when it comes to his darling. His dedication is troubling and he is likely to be manipulative, reverent, and obsessive. He doesn’t let his darlings go easily and will do anything to keep them on his side. A switch that prefers to top. Surprisingly, enjoys being on the receiving end of degradation and humiliation, but doesn’t get to experience it unless he’s with a long-term darling.

—    basics.
▸       is your muse tall   /    short    /    average ? 5′6 (167 cm)  considering   the    region    she   is   from,   she  is  considered  tall.
▸       are they okay with their height ? Definitely.  Tifa  never  had  issues  regarding  her  stature,  since  it’s  a  trait  that   she  doesn’t  really  focus  on.
▸      what’s their hair like ? Soft   as   silk,  bearing  in  mind  her  asian  lineage  that  usually   grows  from  a  round  follicle  (which is responsible for the  straight  hair)  her  hair  is  smooth  and  has  a  remarkable  hair  growth.  Her  hair  color  varies  according  to  the  light,   beneath  the  sunrays   seems  to  be  a  hickory  hue   when  it’s  actually  a   dark  chocolate  tinge.  Tifa  fancies  long  hair,   since  a  child  Tifa  opted  to  let  her  hair  grow  longer  due  to  her  mother’s  beautiful  hair  (Tifa  constantly  used  to  comb  her  mama’s  hair  admiring  how  sleek  her   strands  are).  Sidebangs  are   her   trademark,  yet  it  wasn’t  always  in  that  style  cause  when  she  was  5-12  her  bangs  were  60s styled bangs.
▸     do they spend a  lot of time on their hair     /    grooming ? Yes.   in   terms  of   daily   basis  it  doesn’t  require  much  of   her   attention,  aside  from  wearing  the   proper  hair  brush  to  her  hair  type  (variates  between  a  boar   bristle   brush  and   wet  brush)   Tifa  does  deep  hydrating  treatments  twice  a  week  (coconut oil),   doesn’t  over-wash  her  hair   (3 times a week)   &   low-heat  setting  for  her  hair  dryer.  Tifa’s  major  secret  to  maintain  her  strands  healthy  is  shampooing  the  scalp,  massaging with  fingers  instead  of  nails  &  the  conditioner  along  the  length  of  her  hair.  Regarding  the  grooming  process,  Tifa  enjoys  to  tie   at  her  tips   or  sometimes  prefers  to  keep  loose.
▸      does your muse care about their appearance   /   what others think ? generally  speaking  she  doesn’t   care  what  other  think  unless if   it’s   a    specific    niche  (close  friends/crush).   Regarding  her  exterior  looks,   she   values   her   opinion  but   if   someone  contradicts   her   (ex :  ‘your  outfit  is  weird’ )     Tifa  will  innerly   question   &    doubt   her   current   appearance.   Personality  wise,   Tifa  is  stubborn  and  reluctant  to  change  minor  issues,  so  following  this  trace,  she  cares  by  half.   (50%)
—    preferences.
▸      indoors    or    outdoors ?   ▸      rain    or   sunshine ?   ▸     forest    or    beach ?     ▸      precious    metals   or    gems ?       ▸     flowers   or    perfumes ?     ▸      personality    or    appearance ?     ▸      being    alone    or    being    in    a    crowd ?     ▸      order    or   anarchy ?   ▸     painful    truths    or    white    lies ?     ▸    science    or    magic ?     ▸      peace    or    conflict ?   ▸      night    or    day ?     ▸      dusk    or   dawn ? ▸      warmth    or    cold ?     ▸      many   acquaintances    or    a    few    close    friends ?   ▸      reading    or    playing    a    game ?
—    questionnaire.
▸      what are some of your muse’s bad habits ? Have  you  ever  seen  someone  emotional  that  is  too  insecure  to  express  her  feelings  much   cause   sometimes  doesn’t   even   her   understand   what  is  exactly  is  going  on  with  her  emotions  or   that   she   believes   that   her   feelings  sometimes   aren’t   relevant  to  the  situation  they  are  inserted  such  as   ‘Prevent  Sephiroth  from  using  the  Black  Materia’  ?   That’s  Tifa  Lockhart.  No  wonder  her  name  suggests  such  a  thing.  Tifa  bottles  up  her  feelings,  not  only  due  to  the  fact  that  she  doesn’t  construe  them  very  well  but  there  are  times  that  she  outbursts     Quoting  Tifa :  “YOU’RE  JUST  GOING  TO  WALK  RIGHT  OUT  IGNORING  YOUR  CHILDHOOD  FRIEND  !? “    that’s  an  example  of  her  outburst  when  she  asks  Cloud  to  join  AVALANCHE.   Tifa  crack  her  joints  often  to  release   tension     ...  it’s  a  sign  of   her  anxiety  from  (PTSD)
▸      has your muse lost anyone close to them ? how has it affected them ? Akane  Lockhart  (Mother),  the  death  that  inflicted  Tifa  the  most.  Considering  her  age  (8 years old)  and  the  bond  they  shared  caused  her  to  persists  in  a  denial  stage  of  grief.  Imagine  a  8   year   older   Tifa  believing  that  her  mother  was  in  Mt.Nibel  which  lead  her  to  do  multiple   things   that   harmed  her.    Brian  Lockhart  (Father)  in  an  early  age  (15  years  old)  and  the  cause  of  death  only  inticed  her  to  release  a  rage  against  Shinra,  a  painful  one  that  still  haunts  her  nightmares.   Due  to  her  coma,  her   grief   process   was  interrupted  &   the  trauma  lead  her  to  suppress  such  memories.   Biggs,  Jessie  &  Wedge  (AVALANCHE members)   guilt  grief,  mostly  inticed  by  Barret  since  Tifa  was  trying  to  deal  with  her  emotions  and  it  only  caused  her  to  be  confused  with  the  entire  situation.  Through  time,  she  does  feel  a  guilt  complex  considering  that  it  was  all  setup  by  Shinra.   Aerith  Gainsborough  (close friend)  it  was  all  to  quick  (meeting her,  her  death,  the  grief  because they had to continue with their journey)  I   believe   Aerith   inflicted   her   a    mix   of    these   3   grieves.   Denial,  rage  and  guilt     ...     The  denial  stage,  possibilites  that  was  an  image  created  in  their  head  since  in  the  Temple  of  Ancients  they  were  able  to  see  Sephiroth’s  passage  through  the  Temple.    Rage,  I  believe  she   discharges  her  anger   through  the  battles  and  her  willpower.  Guilt,  this  one  is  not  heavily  implied  but  Tifa  often  contemplates  ‘What If’  scenarios   such  as   :  what  if  I  went  along  with  them  when  Cat  Sith  shrinked  the  temple  into  the  black  materia  and  prevented  Cloud  to  give  the  Materia  to  Sephiroth   or   what  if   I  tried  to  stop  Aerith  from  going  to  the  Forgotten  City  when  Cloud  was   unconscious.   As  remark  of  her  beautiful  presence,  she  uses  a  pink  ribbon   around   her   left   triceps   to   feel   her  energy.
▸       what are some fond memories your muse has ? Playing piano with her mother,  water tower meetings with Cloud (mainly the promise day, as much it can be considered sad cause he was leaving), Zangan lessons,  playtime with Johnny and Cloud,  Brian’s  pancakes,   7th  heaven  before  the  Meteor  /  Avalanche  schemes  (Wedge  trying  her  food,  Jessie and Biggs  drinking  games,  grooming  Marlene’s  hair  and   Barret’s  papa  bear  moments  to  Marlene),   Aerith  flowers,  Cloud  returning  from  a  delivery,  Vincent  vs  cellphone  &   Aerith’s  protection
▸     is it easy for your muse to kill ? No.  Bearing  in  mind  that  her  weapon  is  her  hands,  Tifa  has  trouble  in  killing  ;  unless  when  it’s  a  monster.  or   Sephiroth.  When  she  is  boosted  by  rage,  her  impulsivity  might  cause  her  to  oblive  her  morals,  take  as  an  example  the  Nibelheim  incident  (no  wonder  it  incites  her  discomfort  leading  her  to  a  partial  memory  loss  (difficult to concentrate)  of  such  incident  {PTSD CAN TRIGGER THAT]
▸      what’s it like when your muse breaks down ? EXTREME  ANXIETY.    Quoting  Tifa  “If I stayed here  ... I’ll go crazy”   I  believe  her  breaks  down  usually  occurs  in  2  cases  :   STRESS  and  EMPTY  MIND   (this  one  was  thankfully  controlled  by  her  medidation  routine)       First,  she  isolates  herself   ...  Tifa  is  convinced  that  she  has  to  be  the  optimistic  pillar  to  her  party  (Example :  Aerith’s  death.  She  caresses  Aeris’  hair  &  runs  away  to  burst  her  tears  in  private)    .    Two,  mood  swings  (this  is  a  common  one.  An  example  is  when  Nanaki  questions  his  sanity   to  Cloud,  Tifa  says ‘Be strong’  then  when  he  doubts  she  simply  shouts  ‘BE STRONG !’  ...  an  effect  that  suppressing  her  feelings  preside  over  her  breakdowns)   Third,  eating  &   sleeping  habits  are  affected.  Insomnia  mostly  and   skipping  meals.
▸      is your muse capable of trusting someone with their life ? Yes.  I  wouldn’t   say   easily,  it  depends  how  that  someone  will  approach  them.  I’ll  use  Yuffie  &  Aerith  as  an  example.  In  the  case  of   Aerith,   her  approach  was  during  a  unfortunate  event  (Don Corneo’s  creepy  dungeon)  however  it   was  a  friendly  reach  considering  that  SHE  PROVIDED  THE  WHOLE  CONCEPT  OF  SAVING  TIFA.   When  they  arrive  Sector 7,  Tifa  request  Aerith  to  protect  Marlene.  Which  she  would only  request  someone  that  she  is  capable  to  trust  with  their  life.  About  Yuffie,  their  meeting  was  around  a  tricky  scheme  which  lead  Tifa  to  not   trust  her  easily,  cause  when  in  the  Wutai  sidequest.  Quoting  Tifa  :  “Something’s  telling  me  I  still  shouldn’t  trust  you”   implying  that  Tifa  follows   her  instincts.   Summarizing,   it   would   depend   on   the   circumstances   of   their   meeting.
▸      what’s your muse like when they’re in love ? highly   attuned   to   infatuation  —  as   long   as   she   can   trust   enough   to   let    down   her   barriers   and   allow    another   person   into   her  world.  she  loves   hard,   pursues  a   star   love   (the   kind   where   souls, minds, and bodies seamlessly merge)   Tifa  will  be  that  girl  that  attempts  to  show  her  emotions  through  actions.   She  tries  to  adjust  to  her  partner  ideals  which is  a submissive  trait,  yet  she  also  expects  that  her  sweetheart  demonstrates  somehow  (words or actions)   which  can  lead   her   to  be  that  type  of  lover  that   put   up   walls   and    say   it's   all   good   when   everything   is   clearly   the   exact   opposite,   since  Tifa  has  issues  in  dealing  with  emotions.   It  doesn’t  happen  often  but  she  feels  bad  when  she  has  to  demand  her  partner  for  affection  or   time  together.  These  walls  usually  crumbles  through  time.   Basically  she’s  a  giver  and  will  always  remind  you  how  much  you’re  worth  it  and  loved   &  how  lucky  she  is  to  have  you  as  a partner +  SUPER  ATTENTIVE &  CARING.

The Best Movies on Netflix in India [February 2020]
Tumblr media
In its efforts to win Oscars and please its 167 million members, Netflix has been pouring billions into movies recently, including projects from or featuring the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Martin Scorsese, and Michael Bay. One of those — The Irishman — racked up 10 nominations for the streaming service at the 2020 Oscars, though it failed to come away with a single prize. Netflix has also expanded its film efforts in India in the past year, announcing projects from the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar. For now though, the strength of its catalogue is still the acquisitions. With over 3,500 movies, Netflix offers more choices than any other platform in India. To pick the best movies on Netflix, we relied on Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, and IMDb ratings to create a shortlist. The last of them was preferred for Indian films given the shortfalls of reviews aggregators in that department. Additionally, we used our own editorial judgement to add or remove a few. This list will be updated once every few months if there are any worthy additions or if some movies are removed from the service, so bookmark this page and keep checking in. Here are the best films currently available on Netflix in India, sorted alphabetically. 12 Monkeys (1995) Inspired by the 1962 French short La Jetée, a prisoner (Bruce Willis) is sent back in time to learn more about the virus that wiped out nearly all of humanity. Terry Gilliam directs. 12 Years A Slave (2013) Duped into slavery on the account of a job, Steve McQueen's adaptation of a free New York black man's (Chiwetel Ejiofor) 19th-century memoir is an incredible true story, and an important watch. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) In Stanley Kubrick's highly-influential sci-fi film, humanity charts a course for Jupiter with the sentient computer HAL 9000, to understand the discovery of a black monolith affecting human evolution. It's less plot, and more a visual and aural experience.

3 Idiots (2009) In this satire of the Indian education system's social pressures, two friends recount their college days and how their third long-lost musketeer (Aamir Khan) inspired them to think creatively and independently in a heavily-conformist world. Co-written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who stands accused in the #MeToo movement. 50/50 (2011) Inspired by a true story, a 27-year-old radio journalist (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is diagnosed with spinal cancer and learns the value of friendship and love as he battles the rare disease. Aamir (2008) Adapted from the 2006 Filipino film Cavite, a young Muslim NRI doctor (Rajeev Khandelwal) returning from the UK to India is forced to comply with terrorists' demands to carry out a bombing in Mumbai after they threaten his family. American History X (1998) In a film that's more relevant today than when it was made, a neo-Nazi white supremacist (Edward Norton), who served three years in prison for voluntary manslaughter, tries to prevent his younger brother from going down the same path. American Hustle (2013) In the late 1970s, two con artists (Christian Bale and Amy Adams) are forced to work for an FBI agent (Bradley Cooper) and set up a sting operation that plans to bring down several corrupt politicians and members of the Mafia. Jennifer Lawrence, Jeremy Renner star alongside. Andaz Apna Apna (1994) Two slackers (Aamir Khan and Salman Khan) who belong to middle-class families vie for the affections of an heiress, and inadvertently become her protectors from a local gangster in Rajkumar Santoshi's cult comedy favourite. Andhadhun (2018) Inspired by the French short film L'Accordeur, this black comedy thriller is the story of a piano player (Ayushman Khurrana) who pretends to be visually-impaired and is caught in a web of twists and lies after he walks into a murder scene. Tabu, Radhika Apte star alongside. Apollo 13 (1995) Ron Howard dramatises the aborted Apollo 13 mission that put the astronauts in jeopardy after an on-board explosion ate up all the oxygen and forced NASA to abort and get the men home safely. Argo (2012) Ben Affleck directs and stars in this film about a CIA agent posing as a Hollywood producer scouting for location in Iran, in order to rescue six Americans during the US hostage crisis of 1979. Article 15 (2019) Ayushmann Khurrana plays a cop in this exploration of casteism, religious discrimination, and the current socio-political situation in India, which tracks a missing persons' case involving three teenage girls of a small village. A hard-hitting, well-made movie, though ironically, it was criticised for being casteist itself, and providing an outsider's perspective. The Avengers (2012) Earth's mightiest heroes — including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the Hulk — come together in this groundbreaking Marvel team-up from writer-director Joss Whedon to stop Thor's adopted brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his alien army from subjugating mankind.

The Aviator (2004) With Leonardo DiCaprio as Howard Hughes and Cate Blanchett as Katharine Hepburn, Martin Scorsese dives into the life of the aviation pioneer and film producer, who grapples with severe OCD while his fame grows. Awakenings (1990) Robin Williams and Robert De Niro lead the cast of this drama based on a 1973 memoir of the same name, about a doctor (Williams) who discovers the beneficial effects of a drug on catatonic patients, thereby gifting them a new lease on life. Barfi! (2012) Set in the 1970s amidst the hills of Darjeeling, writer-director Anurag Basu tells the tale of three people (Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Ileana D'Cruz) as they learn to love while battling the notions held by society. Beasts of No Nation (2015) With civil war raging across a fictional African nation, this Netflix Original focuses on a young boy who's trained as a child soldier by a fierce warlord (Idris Elba), and the effects it has on him. Before Sunrise (1995) In the first chapter of Richard Linklater's long-drawn-out trilogy, two idealistic twentysomethings, an American man (Ethan Hawke) and a French woman (Julie Delpy), spend the night together walking around in the Austrian capital of Vienna. The Big Lebowski (1998) A guy known as The Dude (Jeff Bridges) seeks payback for his ruined carpet after he's mistaken for a millionaire with the same name in this crime comedy from the Coen brothers. Less about the plot and more about a way of living. The Big Short (2015) Starring Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt, a look at Wall Street's penchant for self-profit in a vicious loop that caused the 2007–08 global financial meltdown. Birdman (2014) Alejandro G. Iñárritu won three Oscars including Best Picture for this tale of a washed-up superhero actor (Michael Keaton) who struggles to revive his career with a Broadway play. Known for appearing as if it was shot in a single take, it also starred Edward Norton, Zach Galifianakis, and Emma Stone. Blade Runner (1982) One of the most influential cyberpunk films ever made is about a burnt-out cop (Harrison Ford) who reluctantly agrees to hunt down a group of fugitive “replicants”, synthetic humans with a limited life-span who aren't allowed to live on Earth. Blue Valentine (2010) Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams lead this drama that shifts between time periods to depict a couple's courtship and how their marriage fell apart. Das Boot (1981) One of the most authentic war movies ever made chronicles the life of a German submarine crew during World War II, as they go through long stretches of boredom and periods of intense conflict, while trying to maintain morale in a capsule 10 feet by 150 feet hundreds of metres under the surface. The Bourne trilogy (2002-07) Technically not a trilogy, but the first three chapters — Identity, Supremacy, and Ultimatum — starring Matt Damon in the lead as the titular CIA assassin suffering from amnesia were so good that they changed the longest-running spy franchise of all-time: James Bond.

The Breadwinner (2017) This animated film follows a 11-year-old girl living under Taliban rule in Afghanistan, who disguises herself as a boy to provide for her family after the father is taken away without reason. Uses wonderfully-drawn vignettes to stress on the importance of storytelling. Bulbul Can Sing (2019) Three teenagers battle patriarchy and the moral police as they explore their sexual identities in Rima Das's National Award-winning drama — and pay for it dearly. Das writes, directs, shoots, edits, and handles costumes. C/o Kancharapalem (2018) Set in the eponymous Andhra Pradesh town, this Telugu film spans four love stories across religion, caste, and age — from a schoolboy to a middle-aged unmarried man. A debut for writer-director Venkatesh Maha, featuing a cast mostly made up of non-professional actors. Capernaum (2018) In the award-winning, highest-grossing Arabic film of all time, a 12-year-old from the slums of Beirut recounts his life leading up to a five-year sentence he's handed for stabbing someone, and in turn, his decision to sue his parents for child neglect. Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan also star. A Clockwork Orange (1971) Set in a near-future dystopian Britain, writer-director Stanley Kubrick adapts Anthony Burgess' novel of the same name, commenting on juvenile delinquency through the eyes of a small gang leader who enjoys "a bit of the old ultra-violence". Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) Steven Spielberg's slow-paced sci-fi pic — which spent several years in development, being rewritten over and over — is about an everyday blue-collar guy (Richard Dreyfuss) whose humdrum life turns upside down after an encounter with an unidentified flying object (UFO).
Tumblr media

Dheepan (2015) Winner of Cannes' top prize, three Sri Lankan refugees — including a Tamil Tiger soldier — pretend to be a family to gain asylum in France, where they soon realise that life isn't very different in the rough neighbourhoods. Dil Chahta Hai (2001) Farhan Akhtar's directorial debut about three inseparable childhood friends whose wildly different approach to relationships creates a strain on their friendship remains a cult favourite. Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta star. Tumblr media

The Edge of Seventeen (2016) In this coming-of-age comedy, the life of an awkward young woman (Hailee Steinfeld) gets more complex after her older brother starts dating her best friend, though she finds solace in an unexpected friendship and a teacher-slash-mentor (Woody Harrelson). End of Watch (2012) Before he made a terrible sci-fi remake of his own film, writer-director David Ayer took a near-documentarian lens to the day-to-day police work of two partners (Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña) in South Los Angeles, involving their friendship and dealings with criminal elements. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) An estranged couple (Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet) begin a new relationship unaware they dated previously, having erased each other from their memories, in what stands as writer Charlie Kaufman's defining work. Jurassic Park (1993) It might be over 25 years old at this point but watching the very first Jurassic film from Steven Spielberg — based on Michael Crichton's novel, which he co-adapted — is a great way to remind yourself why the new series, Jurassic World, has no idea why it's doing. What are the best ways to help with ADHD/ADD?
Answered on Quora by Iris Crain on July 30th, 2019.
https://qr.ae/TWvd59
I can answer you from the perspective of someone with Adult ADHD that started in childhood, mother of three with ADHD, and now at least three of my grandchildren are diagnosed…
First, you need to *understand* us. Our brains are literally wired differently. They’re calling it “Neural diversity” now, which I like because it really is just thinking differently, not so much like we’re crippled by some ‘disorder.’ But life for us is like having 35 tabs open in your browser, all on different topics across several genres, and knowing exactly how each one corralates to the others (I actually do this a lot, boggles my husband’s mind.) It’s like having five different radio stations going all at once in our heads, rock, talk radio, news, classical and reggae.
And we really want to be understood. The biggest issues in relationships is when we feel the other person doesn’t understand us and we feel alone. My son had an issue over 20 years ago where he was being defiant in the principal’s office in the presence of a police officer. When I walked in, the cop was unclasping his handcuffs to take him to Juvenille hall. I sat in a child-sized chair in front of my son and said “So, what’s going on?” After 10 mins of being heard, he was calm and understood that his response to the situation was inappropriate (although I took issue because he was being bullied) and the officer said he’d never seen anyone so effectively handle an ADHD kid that wound up. I replied “All he wanted was for his feelings to be heard and understood.”
We feel very deeply. We seem to get our feelings hurt pretty easily. Because we attach to the things that get our attention accutely, when they’re taken from us or otherwise destroyed, we feel like we’re being hurt. We’re often told we talk too much, because we want others to understand and feel things as muc has we do. And we don’t understand why people can go through life without feeling things like we do.
We’re not stupid. I was tested and have a 167 IQ. And yet I forget simple things like remembering to set my alarm the night before so I make an appointment, or what I had for dinner last night. I can hear a song and tell you the song title, band name, and usually the album name, what the album cover looked like, the track, the lead singer, and often a bit of other trivia about the song, band or album. My husband calls me his “own personal ‘Behind the Music’.” Yet many ADHD kids grow up to be adults with a lot of self esteem issues from being called lazy, stupid, crazy, spoiled or weird. They often have PTSD (and some like me have actual physical scars) from bullying, poor grades because they just don’t think like the other kids, and a high suicide rate.
We move at a very fast pace. We thrive in situations were we can apply what we know and are good at in a focused manner. My ADHD son would be so into a video game he wouldn’t notice his bathroom urges and wet his pants as a teenager. If I’m working on an important project or event, I typically spend the last two weeks before the event in what my kids call “pre event psychosis” where I get almost zero sleep, only face-planting my keyboard for 15 mins at a time, with little side effects. My husband says he marvels at everything I do out-of-sight until he notices them or I bring them up. My grandparents used to call it “running circles around them” (sometimes literally.)
We want to be helpful, and involved. We forget that people might not want our help, beause we’re so busy butting in trying to join in. We have so many ideas how you can improve what you’re doing that we don’t understand why you’re comfortable doing things the same way every time. Or by yourself. Or it’s not the best/fastest/most fun way possible. We don’t understand why people say “go away, I’ll do it myself” or “I don’t want your help.”
We’re easily distracted. Scatter-brained. Forgetful. Spastic. For example the other day I was sitting at my desk writing a fiction story on my computer, fixing a USB charging cord, making a short grocery list, organizing my top desk drawer and talking to people in the room, all at the same time. I also fed the fish on my desk, and periodically swapped out the page of the document I was scanning into my computer. What most people don’t understand is that ADHD people can actually do that, and we’re usually good at it. We will also have a thousand and one unfinished projects.
We need different coping mechanisms. For some ADHD people, they need quiet to function, to keep the distractions limited. Me, I like to listen to music, preferably non-lyrical like “handpan” music or binural tones. Something with energy. I put headphones on and five hours later I have the outline of a small novel (and sometimes that’s bad, because it started as a simple reply on facebook that went WAY out of control!!) However, if my husband can’t find something in the fridge, without looking up from my computer I can say “second shelf, towards the back, under the sour cream behind the mayo.” And my office area that looks so cluttered and disorganized? I know what and where everything is, so please don’t move anything.
Yet we’re visionary too! Some of the best writers, philosophers and scientists were or are ADHD. We think outside the box so much, we forget to think *inside* the box, and “Neuraltypical” people don’t have a reference in normal thinking to understand what we’re talking about. It’s not anyone’s fault, we literaly have a different perspective on the world. We can imagine all the “what ifs” in the universe (which can challenge even the most patient parent.) But we’re usually very good problem solvers, inventors and creators.
We get easily frustrated. Because we move at such a fast pace, we have trouble learning the rest of the world dosen’t manifest things as fast as we’d like. We want to be instant Mozarts and Wozniaks, we want the paint to dry faster, we want our TV show to come on now, we want to arrive at our destination as soon as we pull out of the driveway (are we there yet?) We can be pushy and demanding beause we want things to go at our speed. And if we grasp a concept, we want to move on to the next step, whether the people around us are on the same page or not.
We also have trouble slowing down, which is why things like belly breathing, grounding and centering, meditation, yoga, martial arts or even simple playtime in the bath can improve our mood and behavior rather impressively. Learning to do these things is hard for us though…
We get easily depressed. The problem with moving fast in a slower paced world is that we get disapointed on a regular basis. We’re different, and a lot of ADHD people describe feeling like a “Stranger in a Strange Land” (good book by the way…) With all the expectations we have of ourselves and our world, and the disapointment from them, people with ADHD have some of the highest rates of mental health disorders and suicidal ideation overall. (It’s also why learning how to adjust one’s perspective and let go of expectations and live in the now is so theraputic for us.)
Our brains specialize. Much like a savant, we’re usually really good at something, but lackluster at most of the other things around us. When we fixate on a topic or field, it’s one of the few times that we are able to shut out the distractions, and so we excel at that thing. The drawback is that it’s also really hard to get interested in anything else. If we’re good at math in school, we don’t hear the bell ring ending the class, we get distracted at our locker looking *one more time* at those equasions, and we miss 90% of everything the next four teachers talk about because in our head we’re seeing numbers and fractions and sums. (As you can tell, mine was English class, adding sociology in college.)
The best way you can help us is to understand us. Be patient. Be kind. Don’t get angry when we try to help. Or when we don’t remember. Learn more about how we think and approach us from our perspective once in a while. Help us set up the structures, reminders and mechanisms that help us function. Or at least try not to throw us off-track if we’re doing good.
For kids, give them lots of stuff to do, but make sure it’s something that catches their interest. Don’t be surprised when that interest changes overnight. Learn the concept of a “teaching moment.” In those moments, you have their attention - use it to teach them why the situation is good or bad. Don’t nag about the failures or differences as much as recognizing and praising the successes. ADHD people have so many little failures throughout the day that praising us for a success goes a log way.
Realize they are mini adrenaline junkies! My daughter’s teacher realized she needed to be evaluated at seven when, instead of going around the table like most her peers at that age would, to get a marker she wanted she not only went across the table for it, but she did so standing, not crawling, and didn’t understand why it was such an issue. I loved to climb trees, big tall pine trees, all the way where I could touch the top, despite it swaying from my weight, or my mother’s terrified screams.
Make them learn to read, without it they will have trouble finding coping mechanisms because neuraltypical people don’t think like they do, but in the myriad of universes and galaxies in stories they can find descriptions of things that their minds will connect with.
And it goes without saying I hope that most of all, we’re human. We deserve the same love and respect you would give anyone else. And if you do, you’ll find no better or more loyal helpers in all of society. Just let us be us.

Walking The Wire (167/167)
Summary: Tony Stark always knew about Peter Parker. He didn’t know that Peter was going to get superpowers and become Spider-Man, but he always knew about Peter because Peter was his son.
This will span from pre-Iron Man up through the rest of the MCU (eventually including Infinity War) and will be for the most part canon compliant except where I’ve taken some liberties and interpreted canon a certain way.
Pairings: Pepper/Tony, Tony/Steve (endgame), Tony/Mary (past)
A/N: If you want me to tag you when I post new chapters let me know. This fic is also on AO3
I used Collider’s MCU timeline to stay canon and the title of this fic is an Imagine Dragons song that is just so fitting for Peter and Tony

Chapter One Hundred Sixty Six
-
Epilogue
One Week Later
Peter didn’t know how he managed to convince his dad to let him go with him and Steve when they went to return the stones, but he did. It was officially the last mission that Iron Man would go on but it had kind of turned into a family trip instead. The only stone that they weren’t returning personally was the Power Stone because Captain Marvel was dealing with that one instead.
“You did tell me you wanted to try the whole time travel thing,” Steve said when they prepared to leave.
“I did,” Peter said and he had absolutely no complaints on going, he just hated how careful his dad was being about the whole thing.
Their first stop was Vormir. Peter could tell that his dad wasn’t exactly okay being there, but Steve made the whole trip go quick. They weren’t there long enough for Peter to look around but there wasn’t much to even see. Knowing that that cliff was the one that Steve had jumped off of for them to get the stone made it difficult all around.
Next they went to Asgard and Peter hadn’t expected it to be so beautiful and different. Alien.
“This is a real place,” Peter said.
“Not in our present it isn’t,” his dad reminded him.
They dressed like Asgardians -- clothing courtesy of Thor -- and managed to get a good look around. The guy that took care of the bifrost and the entrance to Asgard was the only one that knew they were there and he didn’t seem to have a problem with it. He even helped them with putting the stone back. Peter had no idea how Dr. Banner had managed to get all the stones back into their original states, but he’d done it and the Reality Stone was back in the form of a liquid. After it was back where it belonged they just sort of wandered around for a bit.
The Time Stone was a weird one to return because they had to go back and see Doctor Strange. They also couldn’t really linger because it was 2017 and Peter had already been Spider-Man by then and because Steve couldn’t be out and about on account of the house arrest. It was one thing to not care about creating another timeline and another entirely to make that timeline worse for the versions of themselves that would live it.
The Scepter was an easy one to return. It was 2015 and Peter got to have a  small glimpse at what life had been like in the tower in 2015. The tower as a whole had looked entirely different and Steve explained that the penthouse floor had been destroyed by Ultron and that after everything his dad opted for a remodel. They were on look out while his dad put away the stone.
“This wasn’t exactly a happy time around here, was it?” Peter asked. “This was -- he stopped responding to me.”
“Yeah,” Steve said. “It was a hard time. Your dad and Pepper weren’t really seeing eye to eye and he was losing hope of ever getting to meet you.”
“I know,” Peter said. “We kind of talked about it. May really didn’t want him to meet me -- she thought it’d be dangerous. I think she’s realized how much of a mistake that was on her part. Anyway, we know each other now.”
Lastly they went to 2011. It was another quick trip. The tower was different again and Peter got to see the beginning of the Avengers. He also saw his letter -- the one he’d sent that he knew his dad had only managed to read right after he almost died.
“It was a relief when I thought I was going to die, that you didn’t know what I was to you,” his dad said. “But reading that letter made me hope and made me want to live.”
“I love you, dad,” Peter said in response.
They went on a few detours. Quick moments in time -- they went to the 1920s for a day and then the 1930s where they went to Brooklyn to see a small serum-less Steve. It was jarring seeing him that way -- but even then he was still a lot like the Steve they knew and because his dad couldn’t help himself, he left that Steve some money anonymously. They visited a few more years, never staying long and trying to not make too many ripples. For his dad they went to a Queen concert in 1986 and Peter was surprised at how many songs he actually knew. Peter requested that they stop and go see the original theatrical release of Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977. Steve just seemed to be enjoying seeing all the things he missed while frozen in ice.
“This will probably be the best trip we’ve ever been on,” Peter said.
“Although, we’re being very irresponsible and probably creating a whole bunch of new timelines,” his dad said.
“But you’re sure this won’t become a real problem later?” Steve asked.
“It won’t.”
Peter was just happy to spend time with his dads and since Shuri had okayed their trip, he was sure it would be fine.

Three Months Later
Tony appreciated how easy it was to let go of Iron Man now that the threat of Thanos was gone. He was aware that plenty of other villains existed and that some of them might even be worse than Thanos, but for the moment he was happy with how easy it seemed. Things were settling, the world was a little better. He was married. Peter was the best son he could have asked for. Things were good.
The Avengers had a new roster and while he had given up the superhero life entirely, Steve was still helping with training the new members of the team.  It kept him busy and involved when they weren’t working on their new house and Tony liked to join him sometimes. It was nice to see the next generation of heroes and he could see the appeal of getting to shape them and train them and showing them the ropes. But working on the house was also rewarding work. Steve had an artist’s eye and between him and Tony they had designed their perfect home.
In the meanwhile, they waited for the call.
Months passed. Then a few more.
The agency contacted him every once in a while, just keeping up with them, but never with the news they wanted.
“It will happen, when it happens,” Steve said. “Sooner or later.”
“When it’s meant to,” Tony said in agreement. Waiting just kind of sucked.
---
2019
“Do you know what Peter did while we were in Germany?”
Peter groaned. Steve who had been in the middle of making them dinner turned to look at him. “Back during that whole airport thing?”
Tony nodded. “I think I must have told you.”
“I don’t think I’ve heard this story,” Bucky said.
He was seated on one of the stools at the table right next to Peter and Peter could tell that he was ready for a story that he could use against Peter in the future.
“Well, I booked him a hotel and Happy was supposed to be watching him. Then again, I didn’t think that Peter would sneak out of the hotel room, but that is what he did--”
Peter raised a finger in the air. “In my defense,” he said, “I was really hyped up after the fight. I didn’t think it was big deal.”
“When I finally tracked him down he was at a rave. My fourteen year old at a rave in Germany--”
Bucky cracked up at once, laughing with his head thrown back. Peter punched him on the arm but that just made him laugh harder. Steve was laughing too.
“Anyway,” Peter said. “All I said was that my decathlon team is going on a trip to Europe this summer.”
“And you’re welcome to go as long as you don’t end up in a rave again,” his dad said and he was smirking at him.
Peter rolled his eyes. “I won’t even bring the suit. I think a break from Spider-Man might even suit me.”
“And, hey, maybe you can take that girl you like somewhere and finally tell her,” Bucky said.
“I’ve been trying,” Peter said.
And he had been trying. MJ was just a tad intimidating and whenever he tried to bring it up things just got awkward and weird and he couldn’t get the words out. Hanging out with MJ wasn’t hard -- he did it all the time whether alone or with Ned, it was just that talking about his feelings just wasn’t easy. Reading Michelle and figuring out how she felt was even harder and the last thing that Peter wanted was to ruin their friendship.
Ned seemed to be convinced that MJ did like him some days, but other days he thought she didn’t like him. Ned was absolutely no help and when it came to the trip, he was trying to get Peter to try and catch the attention of European girls on their trip which was entirely unappealing to Peter.
“Not hard enough,” Bucky said.
“It’s hard,” Peter said.
Bucky pat his shoulder with his real hand.
“You should go,” Steve said. “Hang out with your friends and see a few new places. Flirt a little.”
“Steve!”
“And definitely don’t take her to any raves,” Steve added.
Peter rolled his eyes. “She’s more into ancient libraries than raves. And I think I will tell her. I’ll come up with a plan. It’ll be great.”
His dad chuckled. “Plans never really work out perfectly, kid.”
“But maybe this way I can actually tell her and if we’re in Europe maybe I’ll find a good place to take her to when I tell her.”

2020
The call came early in the morning. Early by Steve’s standards because Tony had been wide awake going on a few cups of coffee and deep in an engine and the sun wasn’t even really up yet although it was a matter of time before Steve was up for his morning run. But it was still he, that picked up the call when Friday told him it was important.
“Hello?” Tony asked.
“Hi, is this Tony Stark?” a female voice asked.
“Yup. This is Tony,” Tony said and he waited because no one could get his direct line -- not unless Pepper or he personally gave it out.
“I’m calling from the adoption agency. We have a match for you -- she’s four years old and we think you and Captain Rogers would be a good placement for her.”
His heart felt like it wanted to beat out of his chest. This was the call that he’d been waiting two years for -- since he and Steve had gotten married and since they had both decided that adoption was definitely for them.
“I — yes, yes. We are definitely interested. Can I — What’s her name?”
“Morgana,” the woman said.
Morgana. A four year old.
She kept talking, telling him a little about the case -- the steps that came next and a bunch of other things that Tony didn’t even really hear because the call had come. He and Steve were going to adopt. Since applying there had been a whole bunch of things for them to do. There had been home visits and evaluations. He and Steve had had to attend a few parenting courses, but it was all going to be worth it. And it was finally happening. It was amazing. When he got off the phone, it didn’t take him long to run out of the workshop. K-9 got up from his charging station and barked at him before he followed.
“Steve! Steve! Peter!”
Peter opened his bedroom door first. His hair was standing up in all directions and he looked decidedly bleary eyed. Steve opened their bedroom door a few seconds after, shield at hand. “What is it, what’s wrong?”
Peter blinked at them. “There wasn’t an alarm,” he said.
Tony shook his head. “No, no. No alarm. It’s -- I can’t believe it. Steve, we’re going to be dads.”
Steve blinked at him. “We’re already dads. Have you met Peter? Our son?”
Peter laughed as Steve walked to stand by him. He leaned a sleepy head on Steve’s shoulder. “It’s too early for jokes, dad.”
Steve rubbed his arm and Peter leaned a bit heavier on him.
“The adoption agency called,” Tony said, bringing both Steve and Peter’s eyes back to him.
Steve’s eyes widened, surprised.
Peter grinned. “Oh,” he said, “I’m going to be a big brother.”
“Yeah, kid. You are.”
Peter yawned. “I’m like really excited, but I’m also really tired,” he muttered.
Steve rubbed his shoulder gently. “I think back to bed with all of us,” Steve said, reaching for Tony’s hand. “Come on, we’ll have a huge breakfast to celebrate and you can tell me all the details.”
“Her name is Morgana,” Tony said. “She’s four.”
“Morgana,” Steve repeated. “I like it.”
“Me too. Hey, did I ever tell you I was kind of obsessed with King Arthur and the knights of the round table?”
“No,” Steve said, bemused.
“So Morgana,” Tony said, “Like Arthur’s half-sister. It’s fitting. Meant to be, kind of.”
“Morgana,” Steve whispered. Tony kissed his shoulder.
---
Peter took a look around the barn. It was red outside like most barns were. He’d actually looked up the reason for why barns were red and it was something to do with chemicals that farmers used to use to keep their wood from rotting. Now it was just paint. From the outside it looked entirely ordinary and no one would know that it housed a technologically advanced lab and workshop of one Tony Stark. And because his dad was his dad there was even a trap door that went down into a tunnel that led directly to the house -- the mansion -- that he’d designed and built. It had the personality of both of his dads and Peter absolutely loved it.
“It’s cool, isn’t it?” Tony asked.
“Yeah,” Peter said. “No one will ever suspect that a farmer doesn’t live here.”
Tony ruffled his hair.
It was just a little bittersweet to know that this was all actually happening. His dad and Steve were moving from the tower into this farm. It wasn’t too far out of the city and it was admittedly really nice and quiet out there, but things were going to change soon. Not that Peter would have been around at the tower anyway since he was graduating in a few months and then after this summer it’d be off to college. Columbia. It had been that or NYU -- he’d gotten accepted to both. His dad had questioned his choice to not go to MIT.
“You’d love it there, kid, and it’s a great school and--”
“And it’s not in New York,” Peter had pointed out.
Being in New York meant he could be Spider-Man. He could visit his dads and May. He could hang out with Ned when they had a spot of free time. His relationship with MJ didn’t have to turn long distance seeing as she was going to NYU. Not to mention that he wouldn’t miss out on spending time with his little sister.
Peter hadn’t met Morgana yet, but his dad and Steve had and Peter had just had to look at them to know that they already loved her. And in just a few days she’d be coming home with them.
He followed his dad out of the barn and towards the house. It really was a nice house -- the kind that were on 1000 piece puzzles but that no one ever saw in real life. It was huge but not overwhelmingly so. Steve was standing on the wrap around porch and he grinned at them as they headed over.
“Hey, Joan from the agency just called. They okayed everything. We get to pick her up tomorrow.”
“Really? But she said in three or four days and now—”
“I know,” Steve said.
“Already,” Peter said.
“I -- there’s still so much to do. We don’t even -- we haven’t even furnished this place yet and--”
Steve stepped forward and placed his hands on Tony’s shoulders. “Because we’re not moving yet,” Steve reminded him. “We’ll be at the tower for a few more months. Her room is ready. Everything is ready. You bought her a million things she won’t even need.”
Tony nodded and Peter could tell that he was relaxing, especially when he turned to look at Steve. “She’s going to need everything we got for her.”
Peter met Steve’s eyes and they smiled at each other because they both knew that Tony had gone a little overboard. But they should have known to expect that.
“I can’t wait to meet her,” Peter said and he really couldn’t.
“You’ll love her, Pete,” his dad said.
Peter still remembered the conversation he’d had with the social worker that had come to check out the house. He’d been nervous because he didn’t want to ruin things for his dad and Steve, but the questions had been straight forward and mostly to do with how he felt about the adoption. He felt great about it — he was excited for the new addition to the family. Peter just didn’t know who would be spoiling Morgana the most.
“Hey, do you think we can get a real dog out here? K-9’s going to need a friend,” Peter said. They had plenty of room for one.
“I think your dad wants to get chickens, Pete. It might very well become a menagerie.”
“Just because I think it would be interesting to have a few cows,” Tony said.
“Because Shuri sent you pictures of cows once she heard about the farm,” Steve said.
“Well did you know that there were so many cute cows?” Tony asked. “I think Morgana would appreciate having cows.”
Peter rolled his eyes. “We don’t need cows,” he said. “Morgana certainly doesn’t need cows.”
“Okay. No cows. Maybe. But what about alpacas? At least one? We can name him Gerald.”
Steve looked like he was trying to hold in his laughter.
“But, dad, what if it’s a girl?” Peter asked.
“We can call her Geraldina.”
Peter saw Steve shaking his head, but Peter shrugged his shoulders. “They are kind of cute.”
He would await the day when he arrived at the farm and found an alpaca and some chickens and cows. Maybe it wasn’t a bad idea for his dad to pick up a new hobby, though.
“What about we welcome our -- we welcome Morgana into our lives first and then think about getting a zoo?” Steve asked.
“I am tabling this conversation for later, but I do want to point out that we have the space and the time for it.”
“Sure, honey,” Steve said.
Peter followed Steve inside. It still wasn’t fully furnished but it was kind of cool to actually see it finished after so long. It was different than the tower -- cozier and more homey with touches of tech because what Tony Stark house wouldn’t have that, but it also had a separation from that. It was perfect.
“Hey,” his dad said after a while of walking from empty room to empty room. “You’re really okay with this right?”
“What? You guys moving?”
Tony nodded.
“I am. It’s -- it’s what you guys want and I’ll like coming out here to visit all the time. And I’m excited about Morgana too. It’s -- it’s exciting. You guys deserve this after everything. Our lives are never going to be normal because I have spider powers and Steve is a supersoldier and you’re a genius but this is our family and Morgana is going to grow up with Thor showing up uninvited all the time and you building robots in the barn and maybe some alpacas and cows running around. And we all know I attract danger and trouble no matter where I go so--”
He was thinking back to the European trip. Peter had reluctantly taken his Spider-Man suit with him, but hadn’t intended to use it. His plans had entirely revolved around telling MJ he liked her. Somehow, he had managed to do that, but other things happened too. By the end of it, the world at large knew his identity and not just that -- they knew his father was Tony Stark. Things had settled down and ended fine by the end of it, but it had been rough going for a while and Peter didn’t think he would have handled it as well without his dad and Steve at his side.
Still, at the rate that he was going, Peter expected that if he did end up dorming for school that his roommate might end up being some supervillain. Hell, maybe it would be one of his professors.
“Yeah. Not your finest quality, kid,” his dad said. “Maybe why I don’t like the idea of being too far from you.”
“In a suit, you can get to New York City in about fifteen minutes. Don’t worry. I’m an Avenger.”
His dad sighed. “Yeah, I know. Just, I guess to be honest, I’m a little worried about tomorrow.”
Peter sighed. “You’ve already met her and she likes you and Steve. It’s going to be fine. And Aunt May said you can call her any time for help or babysitting. Not to mention that she’s going to have the best big brother ever so…”
Tony laughed and he pulled Peter into his side. Peter went willingly. Things were going to change over the next few months but none of that was going to matter, not as long as the important things didn’t change. The important things being his family -- new additions and all.

Trade Tensions Dim Global Economic Prospects
Trump continues to surprise us by snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. We were so impressed when his administration a few weeks ago postponed any punitive action against Eurozone and Japanese car imports for up to 6 months and finalized the trade deal with Mexico and Canada to focus solely on trade negotiations with China. After all, how many battles can his administration fight at one time?
Unfortunately, that view changed with a tweet Thursday night when Trump threatened to impose tariffs beginning at 5% moving up to 25% on Mexican imports over the surge in migrants. Is he kidding!? Add that to the current 25% tariff on $250 billion of Chinese imports with the possibility going up to 25% tariff on the full $550 billion of Chinese imports by the end of June. The total tariffs could eventually be 25% on $900 billion of imports equal to $225 billion. We do not expect U.S. companies to absorb all or even some of the tariff. Hopefully overseas manufacturers lower prices somewhat to keep the business. Lower foreign currencies will help too. What we do expect is some part of the tariffs will be passed along in part or full in the form of higher prices to the consumer. Not good! But it is only a one-time event and lower prices will occur down the line when/if supply chains are moved.
Right now, companies don’t know where to shift their supply lines to avoid tariffs. They don’t what country, except the U.S., is safe from Trump’s tariffs. Did you see what happened to India yesterday? Not good!
We know many companies shifting production from China to avoid tariffs that have or are in the process of moving production to Mexico. Imagine their shock in reading Trump’s tweet. Really! How can a business plan for the future? Boardrooms around the world must be scratching their heads. Trump wants them all to build in America. Won’t happen! Companies will keep their hands mostly in their pockets until trade deals are reached bringing some certainty to planning supply chains. Until then, capital spending, hiring and economic growth will be penalized.
We must also consider retaliation by those countries singled out by Trump. We already know that China raised tariffs yesterday on $60 billion of U.S. imports. Additional actions will be forthcoming like on rare minerals. And then there is Fed Ex. We are quite confident that Mexico will not stand still and will most likely raise tariffs on at least some of the $265 billion of U.S. imports if Trump moves forward raising tariffs on Mexican imports.
Finally, we believe that Trump’s actions basically end any chance that Congress will pass the new USMCA. It appears that both Robert Lighthizer and Bob Mnuchin disagreed with Trump, but to no avail. Kudlow would have, too, but is out on medical leave. So, who did Trump get advice from? Not from those in the know. Clearly this was a political decision without full consideration of the economic consequences. Mexico, Canada and the U.S. need to be a seamless supply chain which is now in jeopardy.
But all of this could be reversed in a tweet! Same with the trade conflict with China. We think that cooler heads will prevail to avoid these all of these tariffs as the alternative is just too dire for all concerned. Don’t forget that Trump is a political animal first and foremost and he weighs his actions/success by the Dow Jones. Well, the markets have declined the most consecutive weeks in over 30 years since his turnabout on trade while long term bond rates have plummeted to lows not seen in years with a good part of the yield curve inverted signaling a major slowdown or even a recession ahead. We see a slowdown coming in the U.S. but not a recession.
Don’t forget that 2020 is an election year and Trump needs both a strong economy and higher stocks prices to win. He will focus on this political base. So will we! Could Trump be so smart to take the pain now so that 2020 will be a strong year going into elections? That is our current thinking. We now believe that economic stats for the remainder of 2019 will be weaker than we anticipated just weeks ago but remain confident that 2020 will be a better year. While we recognize that stocks are cheap, we may remain in purgatory a while longer waiting for the next tweet and/or resolution of all/some of these issues. We also expect the Fed to come into play by lowering rates at least once in 2019 and more next year if needed. The Fed has two mandates: employment and inflation. They succeeded on one but failed on the other. Inflation is just too low so the Fed must adjust rates down to take that into account. Hopefully the dollar will then weaken too which will be a bonus for all. The yield curve will steepen too.
We have continued to adjust our portfolios to reflect our new forecast: economic growth around 1.3% in the second quarter followed by 2% for the rest of the year as consumer spending remains relatively strong. S & P 500 EPS will likely expand by only 4% in 2019 to $167/share but accelerate to a 6% gain in 2020 to $177/share. While we always expected our rates to be pushed lower than forecasted due to huge capital flows from abroad, we had to adjust down our view of interest rates even more to incorporate weaker than anticipated global growth and inflation. Who would have forecasted German and Japanese rates remaining below 0 for so long putting  immense downward pressure on our rates?
Let’s take a look at recent economic stats that support our current view that the global economy is weaker than earlier anticipated:
1.) We have lowered our view of U.S. economic growth as the spring recovery has just not materialized as we had anticipated: home price growth continues to slow and is now up less than 3.7% year over year as housing continues to weaken despite lower mortgage rates; household spending rose only 0.3% in April from March despite a 0.5% increase in pretax earnings from wages, salaries and investments; the April PCE rose 0.3% in April and is up only 1.5% from a year ago; first quarter GNP growth was lowered to 3.1% and showed signs of slowing growth In capital spending and manufacturing ahead; the wettest winter/spring will hurt the agriculture sector big time; and factories are on track for their weakest showing in 2019 since 2016 as demand for business equipment and commodities weakens here and abroad.
On the other hand, consumer confidence rose to an incredible 134.1 in May and is now close to an 18-year high. Consumer demand has picked up from weak first quarter numbers and is likely to remain relatively strong for the remainder of the year into 2020. It does not hurt that employment continues to increase above trend, hourly wages are rising, inflation and interest rates are low and over 7 million jobs need still to be filled. Remember that consumer spending is over 60% of our GDP.  And our fiscal policy is additive to growth too.
Our economy is still in the best shape compared to the rest of the world. Our rates are being pulled down due primarily to arbitrage from abroad. We believe that our short rates are too high and our long rates are slightly too low. Our yield curve should steepen once the Fed finally lowers the funds rate. Our inverted yield curve is NOT indicating an impending recession as many believe.
Who will be the major beneficiary of any trade deals at the margin and who has less to lose without them?  The USA! So, we are investing in America. Not China, Europe, the Emerging Markets or Japan.
2.) As expected, May economic results weakened in China: the official manufacturing PMI fell beneath 50 to 49.4 despite all the stimulus introduced by the government since December. Chinese leaders have eased credit, reduced taxes and ramped up infrastructure spending but the May slowdown accelerated in industrial production, fixed asset investment and exports. No matter what the government says, domestic demand cannot offset near term weakness in exports and companies leaving China to produce elsewhere. China needs to sustain growth neat 6% to fund all of its domestic needs so the country has a real problem no matter what face they put on.
3.) All you have to do is look at the interest rates in Europe and Japan to get an indication of how well/badly their economies are doing. We remain very pessimistic about the Eurozone due to a whole host of factors beginning with their inability to enact fiscal, monetary, regulatory and trade reforms to make the region globally competitive. No Brexit hurts too!
4.) Japan is just too reliant on global trade so the country badly needs the U.S. and China to make a deal. It really won’t make enough difference to Japan’s economy to make a deal with the U.S. alone which remains very likely before the end of the summer.
Global bonds yields hit multi year lows last week says it all: the global economy is weakening.
What are we doing?
We have continued to take risk off since Trump did a 180 weeks ago. We have significantly raised our cash levels, reduced our foreign exposure and lowered our economic sensitivity. In addition, we have sold calls against our core positions offering us 7% upside and 8% downside protection over the next four months. This move added to our cash reserves while we will also collect future dividends from these stocks.
All of the companies that we own have superior management; winning business strategies in a globally competitive environment; strong new product flows with pricing power; rising operating margins/operating income/net income/cash flow and free cash flow. In addition, the average dividend yield on our portfolio exceeds the 10-year treasury and each company is buying in a lot of stock out of free cash flow.
Our main exposure remains in healthcare; technology; capital goods and industrials; housing related; some financials and many special situations. We own no bonds nor are we long the dollar although we expect the dollar to remain strong until the Fed lowers rates and/or trade deals are reached.
Paix et Prospérité continues to not only outperform the averages, we are in position to take advantage of any further weakness should it occur.
Remember to review all the facts; pause, reflect and consider mindset shifts; look at your asset mix with risk controls; do independent research and…
Invest Accordingly!

As I see you like your rare pairs how about, kagekuroo or oikagekuroo. I dreamt of them one night and now I’m thirstying bout em
v  Hgnnnnnn…damn you, anon. Damn you…
KageKuroo
No one saw this one coming.
Actually, no one even knew about it, until on a training camp where the current first years are third years now Some of the already graduated senpais came to help.
And here comes Mr. Roaster Head strolling in like he owns the place, goes up to the new captain of Karasuno and grabs his ass.
There were gasps of horror in the entire place, the only different reactions were Tsukishima’s, who knew about this very well, somehow, don’t ask he doesn’t reveal his sources Put a password on your phone Kags, Tobio who just scowls, before planting a kiss on the gropper’s lips and Kuroo with his shit-eating grin.
Then there comes the explaining. Apparently after the battle at the garbage dump, Tobio asked Tetsurou to help him improve his blocking, The ever-this-nice person agrees immediately. Ends up, Tobio barely needs help, cuz “The hell kid, you’re better all-rounder than nearly all players i’ve meet!”
But that doesn’t mean the ‘training sessions’ stop, oh no, they just turn into study dates at first. Kuroo volunteered to help the crow, as he is in Class 5, college preparation class. The win-win for both is Tsukishima’s gaping fish face after seeing Kageyama getting higher scores than him on a few subjects.
BUT IT DOESN’T STOP THERE, it’s just plain dates from than on, during vacation. Kags thinks going to the park alone for hours, having a picnic, sharing food and water bottles, talking for personal matters ‘till the sun goes down, going to a pizzeria and to the cinema together, staying in each other houses on weekends and sharing a bed is something friends do. Kuroo was about to commit homicide.
In the end it took Kenma, Akaashi, Bokuto, Yaku and Kai -Or the so called “Done with Kuroo’s shit group”- to tell him to get himself together and tell the damn man, he likes him in a romantic way. After hours, days of said dude freaking out how to do it, what to say, when, will he accept and the “Done with Kuroo’s shit group” being the ones about to commit homicide, they finally came up with a game plan.
Now, Tetsurou wasn’t sure if he should be happy, cry or yell when that damn, beautiful boy, who nearly drove him to getting a stroke with how nervous he was, just shrugged and said “Oh, i like you in that way too, Kuroo-san. Took you a while, please take care of me.”
“Wait, all this times that were dates? We weren’t just hanging out?” Anguished noises
It would be kinda hard to maintain a long distance-relationship for other people, but Kuroo decided to go to Niigata University, in Niigata-shi, which is 167 km (104 miles) away from Miyagi. They see each other every weekend, and Kuroo makes sure he texts at least 27 times every single day.
Now, you may think the first thing two people, volleyball players, one obsessed with the sport, would do is practice? Nah. The moment they are in the same room alone, the make out begins. It ain’t sweet it’s hardcore, i tell ya, it’s fuckin’ sexy.
After that they become the laziest people on the planet. Watching some of Kuroo’s favourite documentaries on the couch, cuddling, with some sweet dessert Kags made on the coffee table.
People either think they have no shame in public, or don’t show any PDA, but…it’s neither? Tetsurou can get pretty shy in times, while Kags doesn’t care much, either way. So, if they are with close friends they can go as far as sitting in each other’s lap, but just for walking outside, simple hand holding and little, quick kisses.
Whenever either of them is stresesed over something, be it school work, an upcoming match, an argument with a friend, or family, they both do the same thing. Staying home, gentle touches, nearly silent voices as they talk over the matter, using comforting words. Once Tetsurou had over-worked himself so much, he yelled at Tobio for no reason before storming out of the door his face as red as a tomato. Tobio knows better than to follow him, sure he gets worried once it starts raining, but thankfully his lover returns just in time, a broken apology on his lips, tears ready to stream down, the moment he is in the younger’s embrace they stream freely.
If either gets sick is a bit of a differnet story. Kuroo acts like he can die from the smallest things, while Kags might as well just go with his day as if nothing’s wrong. Tobio handles it calmly when learning his boyfriend is sick, coming over making warm soup and making sure he’s as comfortable as possible. While Kuroo caught the first train the moment he learned, during exam week and came like a mad man. Tobio damn near kicked his ass back to Niigata-shi.
In short they go from the hottest thing in the room, to the most cheesy one in the span of 00.2, no one can stand spending more than 30 minutes with both of them together. Tsukishima suffers more than all.
OiKageKuroo this might be just an excuse for Oikage shut up
Honestly, had Oikawa have taken the stick out of his ass he would’ve already been with Tobio, but. He’s hopeless, what can i say.
Oiks was, oh so lucky, to end up in the same University as Tetsurou! He didn’t even know the dude, so imagine his surprise when he was waiting in the line for Starbucks and heard an offended gasp behind him. There stands a person who looks like he just got out of bed, talking to himself; “No way, that’s the one- damned senpai who doesn’t deserve all that admiration from Tobio-” “My adorable kouhai, Tobio-chan?!” “...” “...”
Needless to say while dear blueberry was helping an underclassmen his phone didn’t stop ringing, once he finally picked up he wished he hasn’t, rest in peace to his ear “Tobio! It’s one thing to barely contact me, but you could’ve told me you’re- dating- this rooster!” “...Oh, Tetsurou-san is there? Please don’t speak of my boyfriend like that, Oikawa-san” “Disgraceful Tobio, disgraceful.”
Oikawa tried to avoid Kuroo as much as possible, but it wasn’t all that easy. They had a lot of classes together, he almost can’t believe they haven’t seen each other before. The teacher paired them up for projects several times, thanks to that those two managed to hold a conversastion together. It was mostly about Tobio, volleyball, Tobio, schoolwork, latest trends, Tobio, movies, did i say Tobio?
“Huh, that guy is not bad after all. Feel like we understand each other for some reason.” “Maybe, cuz you’re both head over heels for his boyfriend and also, you’re both kinda trash? Poor Kageyama, with that taste...” “Why are you like that, Iwa-chan?”
After getting himself together and slightly pushing his pride aside, Oikawa asked Kuroo to accompany him on his visit home, to get in touch with Tobio again. For some reason Kuroo didn’t argue at all.
Kageyama was pretty surprised to see not only his boyfriend, but his favourite senpai, and the person he once and still held feelings for on his doorstep. He expected it to be much more awkward, but they’ve both grown, so once Kuroo left his things and kissed his lover before heading out, Oikawa and Kags feel into an easy talk about various topics.
One of them was Tobio’s realtionship with Tetsurou, by the end of the story about that Tooru looking down at the cup of coffee Tobio made for him, with more milk just how he likes it and despite the sad look in his eyes he smiled. “You’re happy, right Tobio?” “Huh? Yeah, very much so.” “I see. Good. That’s good.”
After that the two trash kings friendship become really strong. They spend most of their time on campus together, little by little, Tooru began to understand what Tobio sees in the man in front of him.
Out of nowhere on Friday, Kuroo entered Oikawa’s room with a serious face which can make anyone back off. Certainly, Oikawa wasn’t expecting to hear what came next. “You love him don’t you?” “Huh?! You mean...I, he...it’s in the pa-” “I can understand why. He’s amazing, i can’t help, but feel i don’t deserve him sometimes. Bet you’ve felt the same, that’s why you haven’t made a move...But listen. I hate to admit it, but he surely holds more than platonic feelings towards you. I’m not saying he doesn’t love me, i know he does, just...i’m not the only one.”
A silence was hanging in the air for minutes, until Oikawa broke it with a raspy voice; “I really don’t deserve him... Tetsu-chan, i was horrible...he never hated me for it, but i ca’t stop thinking about how cold i was towards him at times. Yet...i also feel in love, so selfish.” “That’s all in the past, isn’t it? C’mon come with me and tell him all of this.” “But-” “No. i want him to be happy nothing else. I’m sure you feel the same. Besides...seeing you happy as well brings me even more joy.”
It was winter holiday when they got around to do it. Tooru waited ‘till Christmas, seemed like the best moment. All three of them were watching everyone else who were invited to celebrate in the snow. Taking a deep breath Tooru took Tobio’s right hand, while Tetsurou took the left. Royal blue eyes looked at both of them in confusion.
“Tobio...listen. Straight to the point. I love you. Not just from this year, since god knows how long, but i was so stupid and never told you. But then...Tetsurou came, he made me realize how much i will be missing. Heh, who would’ve thought i would fall for this garbage too.” “Look who’s talking.” “Shush. I’m sorry for all the times i’ve made you sad. Let me repay you for them. I love you. I want to be by your side, by both of your sides.”
Kuroo rested his head on the youngest head, the boy was shaking not from the cold, but the amount of emotions going through him. Before anyone realized there were three warm smiles, plus tears on the trio’s faces as they fall in a hug together.
Nothing changed much after that. Everyone were simply amazed at Tobio’s patience. The night cuddles turned into a sandwich with Tobio in between. The make out sessions somehow went even higher. How can this be so sexy everyone asked themselves. The teasing went to the seven sky as well, Oikawa and Kuroo were simply trolls, but Tobio barely had to try to shut them down.
Oikawa’s knee ended up giving out during practice in University, the moment Kuroo heard the pained noise coming from him he didn’t even think twice before taking Tooru in his arms, who hold onto his shirt for dear life and rushed to the hospital. The moment they took him in, Kuroo called Kageyama, who even tho tried not to show how panicked he was when explaing to Tsukishima he needs to handle things, his vice-captain saw straight threw him. He calmed Tobio down as much as he can before telling him to go and that Akiteru will drive him there.
With how crazy the older Tsukishima was going they reached the hospital in Niigata-shi five times faster then with a train. Tobio entered out of breath still in gym shorts and white T-shirt, he was greeted with Tetsurou who looks just as bad, they cold only hold onto each other before the doctor let them in. Tooru tried to smile, but everyone in the room knew it will be completly fake. He won’t be able to play anymore. The other two kept strong faced as they let the patient cry in their arms.
People, his family, Tooru himself expected him to took much longer to recover emotionally after that, but with the two boys by his side it didn’t take long. By endless encouragement by both of them, he finally tried his hand at writing and hell, he was darn amazing in it! Seems like when you write with your loved ones in mind it comes as easy as breathing.
Their relationship continued for the better, it wasn’t the best. Each of them had a lot of flaws, but loved each other with them. They weren’t a perfect couple, but that didn’t matter, as long as they stayed by each other’s side.
Tobio got into the school. Good luck to all those classmates.

New Experiences
“What are you thinking about?”
“Hmm?” The instant Damian’s hand stopped running rhythmically over Titus’ back, the huge dog turned his head around and nosed at the teen’s hand. “What was your question?”
“I asked what you’re thinking about. I’ve never seen you this distracted before. Is it because of your brother? I know you’ve been worried about him.”
“Why would I be worried about Drake? He can handle himself.”
For a few seconds Colin silently watched Damian, then he moved across the bed so he body was pressed along Damian’s right side. “Pretend all you want that you and Tim don’t get along, but I know you care about him. You look up to him and enjoy spending time with him. I know he’s only there on business, but things are dangerous there right now. It makes sense you would be worried.”
“Drake will be fine. He did not go alone.”
Colin let out a heavy sigh and leaned more of his body weight against Damian as he reached his hand out to scratch behind Titus’ ears. The dog let out a happy little woof at the new attention and moved closer to the other teen, much to Damian’s discontent. With his dog no longer providing an adequate distraction, he focused his attention on the comforting heat radiating off of Colin’s body. Though he loath to admit it, Damian had been concerned about Drake’s safety since he missed the check-in call the previous night.  There were a great number of things that could have gone wrong with the mission he was currently on and none of them would end pleasantly.
“Do you want me to stay tonight?”
“That will not be necessary.”
“Dami…” The feeling of Colin’s fingers running lightly along Damian’s knuckles had Damian reconsidering his offer. “I don’t want you to be alone tonight. I know your dad has to work late because Tim’s gone and your other brother went back to Blüdhaven. You shouldn’t be alone.”
“I have Alfred and you forgot Todd.”
“I’m sure Alfred’s busy and Jason’s friends are probably trying to distract him. It must be hard knowing your husband’s in a dangerous country. I can’t even imagine.”
“He has been unbearable. I do not know how Cassandra puts up with him.”
“Your sister’s in town?”
“She is on break from school. Stephanie would not stop talking about it two weeks ago. I am surprised she did not mention it to you.”
A fond smile appeared on Colin’s face and he wrapped his fingers around Damian’s hand in a light hold. “Cass probably empathizes with how Jason is feeling. She probably feels the same way when she’s in Hong Kong, especially after Stephanie got mugged last year.”
“Cassandra is stronger than that. She knows Brown can take care of herself. It would make no sense for her to feel that way.”
“Being strong doesn’t mean you’re immune to worrying about the people you love. It just means you’re there for them no matter what.”
“You should like Drake and Todd.”
“Then I must be right. If anyone knows what they’re talking about, it’s them.”
“Or you have too high an opinion of them.” Damian carefully moved his fingers until they rested perfectly in between the gaps in Colin’s fingers.
