I do wanna lowkey apologise if I've been unnecessarily critical of Hazbin Hotel in any way, there is a very high possibility I'm taking out a lot of shit on things I was disappointment with due to what's been going on in my life.

I'm sure the show's not terrible, and there are some things I am very interested in that have happened, I'm just very raw emotionally in general, and the negatives are not something I wanna pile on top of everything else, regardless of how inconsequential a cartoon is in the grand scheme of things.

something i adore about the trigun 1998 dub is that you can really feel that vash is the first character johnny yong bosch ever voiced. it gives him a very natural and slightly off-kilter quality that's also mostly free from the standard patterns of speech anime dubs tend to have, which i find works incredibly well for a character like vash. he makes some truly bizarre acting choices that i don't think a seasoned professional ever would and its extremely dear to me

Cucurucho started placing his favorite painting in Maxo's bunker while he was talking, and right as Maxo gave up and told the Federation he'd do whatever they wanted if they helped remove the code from his leg, Cucurucho placed another painting. atsushi passing out in the english dub today <3 it's a different Flavor than the japanese version but i absolutely love how faint he sounds, like he's losing his breath 💖💖💖

longer clip than the first one because i was also thinking about this little sequence of events. atsushi hallucinating dazai behind him, and then standing up like that just to pass out a few seconds later. imagining he can see the spots in his vision forming after standing and he's getting too dizzy to stay upright, but he's fighting it so hard in some attempt to get through that sentence at the very least. the sweat shows that too. but in the end it snuck up on him to fast and he fainted 💔 poor thing

goddd . the thing about sonic and shadows dynamic is that in the 2000s era games they werent exactly besties but they didnt seem to dislike eachother either. maybe they didnt always agree on everything but there was still a mutual respect there and they had no problem working together when it was necessary. there were even instances where sonic WANTED to team up with shadow and seemed to at the very least consider him a trusted ally if not a friend. but then over time sega decided to make their relationship more. idk. hostile i guess is the word? i guess its because they wanted to push the rivalry more or something. and i wouldnt say their relationship in sonic prime is exactly like it was in the older games but its definitely a breath of fresh air after some of the stuff we've gotten before this

idk if anyone else had pointed this out but alejandro's manner of speech is so endearing. he's so overly formal sometimes and very rarely abbreviates his words- which is characteristic of people not speaking their native language, sure, but it's so jarring to hear in the context of total drama where characters use all sorts of weird slang.

that one tweet about all modern anime dubs being just gravelly voices shouting was mocked but it is also so correct. IDK how people can watch the dungeon meshi dub. i watched the dubbed clip of laios and shuro arguing and it just sounded like two bad Matthew Mercer impersonators shouting at eachother at the top of their lungs. it feels like there was no direction other than "say ir really loud and angrily because theyre angry i guess"
