Weird Horsegirl Ganondorf fun fact of today is that in Ocarina of Time Ganondorf rides without a bridle! Even in the concept art his horse lacks any bit or reigns (as does Epona, and every other horse).
What it mainly means is that the N64 didn't have the power to mess with an unnecessary complex item to render -- but what it could be interpreted to mean for the sake of fandom fun is that the horses are raised and trained to be ridden bridleless.
Not to be up my own headcanons about horses being a big thing in Gerudo Valley and Malon's mom being Gerudo and there being a reason that Gan's horse is specified as a pure black Gerudo Stallion because other Gerudo horses don't look like that but -- have you seen the dressings on the other horses?
All of them, even Zelda's horse, have a call to Gerudo patterning. Except for Epona, who was only able to be approached, touched, and ridden by Link and presumably Malon herself.
It's no secret that the Gerudo are more or less pulled from African and Arabic cultures, but fun fact about Arabian horses, they used to be given as prized gifts to royalty and important political figures.
So if they are inspired by Arabian horse history --
Although the specific area of the Arabian Peninsula where the breed originated can’t be pinpointed, it is widely accepted that around 2500 B.C., the Bedouin people were responsible for developing the desert horses that became the ancestors of the Arabian horse. The nomads’ keen horse sense and meticulous attention to proper care and breeding created an animal that could withstand the harsh environment of the desert, surviving extreme heat and cold with little water and the food they shared with their handlers. A life of travel also required horses with great lung capacity, endurance and stamina. (x)
It's very possible that all of the horses in OoT have ancestry in Gerudo Valley!

Katniss cutting her hair post-war is basically canon in my mind. her hair is one of the key features of her appearance from the start of the series, a part of her that she makes continuous comments about. she talks about her mother’s intricate braid, her classic simple style with her braid falling down her back, the ringlets and various styles in her outfits throughout the victory tour. she even comments about washing it both in the Capitol showers and during each of her Games. it being singed off in both the first Games and later from the bombing at the Capitol (both instances are related to fire – i’m sure there’s more to explore there).
i think since so much of her outward identity was tied to her hair, especially when much of her celebrity surrounded the styling her hair (an idea reinforced by the movies with Snow’s granddaughter saying all the girls are wearing their hair in a braid in school), it would probably be so cathartic for her to cut it short. initially she would say she did it to even out the choppiness from the bombing and keep it from matting, but she would realize that it actually helps her with issues of her appearance following the war. later she keeps it short because it helps her feel free. not to mention changes in style and appearance are often used as ways for people to reidentify themselves, and part of Katniss’s healing involves finding her identity beyond being a figure in war and someone who she thinks is a bad person. not to mention just the general idea that with age people tend to cut their hair, and aging was not a luxury katniss thought she would be afford or even something she deserved.
just, to me, Katniss is walking around with shoulder-length hair throughout her adulthood. it’s who her kids know her as. mature, stoic, healing.

The fazbear frights and tales of the pizzaplex books (and the soon coming character encyclopedia) are the worst thing to ever have happened to the franchise, especially in theory making

How many Tavs have you created and why have they all romanced Gale? 😏
A LOT. When I first got the game they didn't have the option to change your character's appearance via the mirror and I actually started over at one point even though I was all the way in act 2 because I decided I didn't like her hair anymore. Then I made it to act 3 with a rogue half wood elf before starting over as a rogue half drow and realized I like that specific origin better and found "my character." With her I made it to act 3...started to realize I didn't like playing as a rogue, found out monks were "OP" as per reddit...so I started over as a monk and found I love punching people <3
I still haven't finished...that's my goal before I start over, lol. (though I did roll out a full drow sorcerer to try Astarion's romance, and I think the only way I finish a playthrough where I don't romance Gale is if I play it in tandem with my other playthrough, LOL.)
Anyway Roselle is my main girl, my love. She acts. She has mommy issues. She cried when Gale mentioned the name "Tara" and then cried again (albeit in happiness) when she found out Tara was a cat.

You should look up how to draw curly hair. Silver's doesn't look like curly hair at all.
I don't mean to be rude or anything, so if it sounds like it to you, I'm sorry.
I do my best with curly hair in the comic. I have curly hair, and I draw it the way I think it looks better. I even try to draw more than one kind of curls.
But the fact is: I don't have enought time or energy to draw realistic curly hair. Or realistic hair in general... I try my best, but someday I will draw the "Sponge SU curly hair" to someone, because it is cute, it is cartoony, and I'll need to drae that kind of hair fast.
