Do you like eldritch beings? Are you a fan of horror, comedies, and musicals? Are you the kind of criptid that would create a roleplay punk band with sasquatch to win the space pirate talent competition?
"Cryptic Cascade Corridor" / Track 5 of my concept album "Uri (Soundtrack from the Liminal Film and Videogame)". The full album is now playing on my Youtube Channel (audio only, but with artworks that will transport you to the surreal world of Uri).

Story of "URI", digital art, videos and music by ᴏғʙ𝟷ᴛ
When I was younger, about 10 years ago, there was a snow day. School was cancelled on the day that I had to hand in my still unfinished (not even started) geography homework. So instead of school, me and a friend spent all day (legit like 12 hours) playing Minecraft. School was cancelled again the next day. And the day after that. We had absolutely no worries at all beyond what wood to use for our base. Despite that though, in the real world, the snow was actually pretty bad. We couldn’t really leave the house cus the ice froze the road leading out of the estate and the salt trucks didn’t really come our way. And everyone who could get out had bought every loaf of bread and pint of milk in a 10 mile radius anyway so for a while we were stuck in the house working out if we could eat the tin of Tesco value curry sauce that had expired in 2007.
This may not seem particularly relevant to the piece but I was thinking about it recently… how the world (or my world at least) had come to a standstill. There was suffering and people were risking their safety to get to work, get food, or find child minders etc… but I was fine. I was safe. I was just playing Minecraft with my friend. I was happy. That’s what was in my mind when making this. The notion of the world ending but still just sitting there like it will all be back to normal soon. That desire to just kick back and wait for things to get better… to be able to ignore it all. I wish things could still work like that. But that life now only exists in fuzzy memories…
But this guy… that’s what this guy is doing. playing his music. Trying to get through it. A glimmer of positivity in a uncanny world… accepting that things have just… ended… maybe they’ll get better if he just… keeps going… but for now, there is happiness only in his fading memories…
My art isn’t perfect but I’m happy with this. I’m proud of the style, the music and the editing. It’s not much but… I like it 🧡
Today is BANDCAMP FRIDAY, so I'm (re)releasing ONEIRIC HARDWARE by WERNECK - WRETCHMOND. https://kekw.bandcamp.com/album/oneiric-hardware
An album of manipulated field-recordings sourced from server-arrays, hard-drives and peripherals from Belo Horizonte, Brasil and Yeovil, Somerset. The sound of machines dreaming.
Released as a Ltd CDr in 2009 on 19f3 Records ("The world's greatest Non-Boutique Yeovil-based Nano-label").
This d/l Includes a bonus 9th track not on the original CD and only ever released as a ltd floppy-disk edition of one. No, really.
From the original 19f3 Press Release:
"A curious fusion of the mechanistic and the organic: a series of REM-sleep sirensongs built from whirring servos, damaged cpus and haunted read-write heads. Ghost-Industrial Music.
"Sound-files rub up against each other to create accidental textures, rhythms, harmonics and voices. A chance meeting on a PC World Customer Service Desk of a zip-drive and a storage drum. REM Vs. RAM.
"File under: ferromagnetic nightmares, head crashes, somnambulant automata, data archaeology, disaster recovery,
nocturnal back-ups, Music for PS/2 Ports."
If you haven't seen the Phantasm films, you really are missing out.
I binged them all in one night back in my salad days having not seen any of them before, and it was love at first sight.
Every year I usually throw together a cover for Halloween, and this year I chose the theme to Phantasm. It's an iconic piece of music, and is as part of the series as any of the characters are. I've enlisted the help of Keith McCoy on the drums, and Ayx The Robot helped out with some guitar work, and the result is an epic interpretation that I hope you enjoy!
