I rlly wanna be able to not smoke weed but I just dunno if I can honestly. Like I’ve been sober maybe for a week or two before last year and I felt happy w myself I went that long but I also was in England visiting my family so I didn’t have any left to smoke anyway

#but I just struggle to stop #I end up smoking again and bc all my friends smoke i can’t say no bc i like getting high and doing it w my friends #but i lit smoke everyday even when I’m out i end up hanging w friends and smoking #it’s prob been like 3/4 years now I’ve been smoking #ik its not good for my body or mind #I do kinda wish there was somewhere I could go like a local MA bc I do rlly struggle #but it’s like part of me is just too scared to be sober and have to deal w thoughts and anxiety and depression etc #I am visiting my mum and stepdad again soon so I’m planning to only bring a little and then try detox #but I just know it’ll end up smoking again when I get back and hang w friends #and it’s not their fault or anything I haven’t communicated it and I don’t think I will bc ik deep down tht would cut it off completely #like I technically could delete my dealers numbers but then ik ill end up asking for them again bc I just do tht #I’m so bad at saying no and being impulsive and making bad decisions it’s like my brain just dgaf #idk how ppl do it fr #I don’t believe when ppl say weed isn’t addictive tbh bc it defo has been for me #journal

#just turning over the idea of executive functioning issues in my head part by part. impulse control. im extremely tightly controlled. im the #best at control. the only times im impulsive is when someone asks me something and my brain doesn't work well in the moment so i tend to b #like fuck it: says something that might fuck me over later bc im like whatever itll prob b fine lol. but mostly not an issue. emotional #control. i dont lash out at ppl except myself i guess. ill sometimes have freak out meltdowns bc i get so frustrated with myself plus mood #weirdness. so not great. flexible thinking. im pretty rigid. if plans randomly change theres like a 1 in 3 chance ill freak out and start #crying and it takes me a long time to adjust to the idea that i have to chsnge something. and things tend to have to b a certain way #not for any reason in particular. thats just how it has to b. i have to eat the same foods. operate at the same times. do thr same things. #thats just how it is. and i find it difficult in social situations to adapt to the flow of convention bc its like but we're talking abt thi #now but something just interrupted and we aren't going abck to that thing. i dont make it other ppls problem but its uncomfortable for me. #working memory. my memory is pretty fucked. self monitoring. im good at that. too good. im pathologically self reflective. planning & #prioritizing. i can plan but i cant prioritize for shit. i will spiral for hours doing nothing bc i can't decide what comes 1st. #task initation. im good at torturing myself into getting things done but i anxiously avoid a lot of things but once i start its like: im in #this mode now. no i cant fucking stop i need this to b done. i need to sit here and finish it otherwise i wont come back to it. i cant do #moderation its all or nothing. all school and nothing outside of that. cant send mail. cant clean sink. i see it and kno i need to do it an #then i just walk away from the disaster area. organization. is ok. it looks a disaster but i only exist in like 3 places so i dont lose #things often but i dont remember where i put things once i put them down i have to deduce where i would have put it. does that paint the #picture of executive functioning issues or rigid and restrictive compulsive behavior paired with self destructive impulses leading to #absolute mental exhaustion which is y things arent getting done? could b either or both. idk my ability to do things 95% of the way and wal #away leaving a mess that ill never come back to strikes me more as the former but what do i #still its worth considering bc i do have an amazing to control myself in a way that's completely out of my control. maybr my start/stop #switch is just fucked idk. slow down and reorient says my counselor u never stop to rest. shes right but also im a grad student stopping #would mean death u gotta keep swimming and doing more than u should. thats how it is #but im so tired and i only get more and more tired. so somethings gotta give eventually #unrelated #i forgot focus. my focus is good sometimes and sometimes my brain is moving too fast and i cant focus at all. its static #but focus is not a thing i cna control

You guys ever think about how Dazai is really smart and can comprehend complex situations despite constantly consuming alcohol and drugs before the age of 24, which is around the age the pre frontal cortex fully matures, and the development of that part of the brain can be heavily affected negatively by the use of drugs?

The pre frontal cortex is responsable for planning, formulating strategies, taking executive decisions, its important for emotional behaviour, cognitive functions, thinking, sensorial perception, expression of personality(which one?), the making of decisions and complex thoughts.

Such area of the brain can be damaged heavily by the usage of drugs, alcohol, etc. It can impact ones life drastically considering a damaged PFC can lead to irritability, short-term memory loss, lack of empathy, impulsiveness and difficult planning. Many would say that someone with a damaged pre frontal cortex from a young age might have a big chance of ending up a ‘nobody’(my father literally said that 😭).

Though the PFC only gets truly damaged if drugs are taken on a regular basis, once in a LONG while doesn’t quite do anything.

The Gold and Silver twins probs have a massive list of enemies and vengances they want resolve, but they're so absent-minded that they frequently forget just why they dont like that person/what they did. They def find their own names among their "black book" of enemies and are just puzzled.

They haven't unlocked his friendship events yet. Gotta feed and talk to Macaque everyday like a Stardew Valley npc before he unloads his trauma.

MK is willing to use the Staff if it means conflict resolution. He will use it to threaten others to be nice.

Oh gosh, I love the idea of Huntsman having legit rizz, but it completely flies over Sandy's head. FIshman is sweet but damn he bad at responding to obvious romantic signs. X3

Wukong saw glowsticks become a thing and would spend ages trying to figure out How. Why stick glow when cracked/bended? Why no heat? Why did people scream when he tried drinking the yucky liquid inside at the discotech? He did't have his Staff handy for their introduction, so the second the Staff is no longer sealing DBK, Wukong tries cracking the Staff to see if it glows. He breaks his knee instead. Macaque laughed while MK was just puzzled Why.

The second Macaque is gone; Wukong turns into a mega-bachelor again. Hyper impulsive, binge-watching Monkey Cop, eating nothing but peaches and takeout. The second Mac gets back from the moon, its like walking into a house after a frat party. He def yells at Wukong to clean up his mess.

Nudity is canon. Wukong busted out the furnace naked cus it burned his clothes off.

DEFINETELY. Wukong is gotdang short already (apparently less than 1.3m/4.26 ft in the book), and Macaque being just a little taller would get so on his nerves! XD Even if both monkeys (unglamoured) reach about the height of a teenager, Wukong is def wearing lifted shoes. Macaque taunts him about it endlessly.

Oh gosh, I have an idea for TMKATI-au in Chapter 3; where Pigsy and Tang are "whisper-arguing" in the kitchen while Shadowpeach are in the restaurant sheltering from the rain.

Pigsy: "I'm not about to harbor a pair of shady demons just cus they look pathetic in the rain!" Tang, the one who brought them there: "Aww, c'mon Piggy!" *whispers* "They're having a kid and it looks like they got kicked out or something..." Pigsy: *annoyed snort* Macaque, hearing the convo cus ears: "...Wukong do you honestly believe this place is safe?" Wukong: "Uh yeah - I order from here all the time!" Macaque: *judgemental glare* Wukong, laughes nervously: "Haha...Ok. I'm not 100% sure. Honestly I was thinking about how we're gonna get some food... You're in a... vunerable condition and I want to make sure we're at atleast fed and warm before deciding anything major. You know... future-wise." Macaque: *sighs tiredly* Pigsy & Tang, eavesdropping via kitchen counter: *looks at one another* Tang: *gives puppy-dog eyes* Pigsy, conflicted growling: "Grr... OK FINE! They can stay for some dinner and maybe crash on the futon for a bit. But once the rain clears off, I'm kicking them out!"

(Pigsy procedes to not kick them out, and instead over the course of the late-evening meal decides to hire Wukong/let the two monkeys stay in the empty top floor of the building. He's bad at saying no to Tang and bad at turning away sad-looking rain-soaked monkeys.)

anyways i hate jkr so here is a wizard au that isn’t hogwarts related (these are just my opinions but i have played as every school so i promise they’re informed):

jack: fire wizard ALL THE WAY. fire wizards specialise in damage over time attacks and are the second hardest hitter in wizard101 history. they are known to be the only school that even has the chance to solo the game because of how powerful their hits are and how good their health balances them out. my main is a fire, so i’m biased but this school is EXTREMELY fitting for him.

ralph: storm. wizard. storm wizards give up accuracy and health to deal as much damage as possible. they truly are one shot wizards, and i have had very few issues with my storm wizard. he’s great, they kill first turn as soon as possible. this is the hardest hitting school and it rivals with fire for the hitter in a group, which i think is super relevant to the jack and ralph conflict.

piggy: balance. balance on its own is really nothing special, they’re generally a helper school, blading their teammates to make other people’s hits harder. they’re a known support school that i think piggy fits because they’re not really hitters, they’re just helpers to their friends.

roger: death wizard and not because it’s obvious. death wizards rely on attacks that simultaneously drain their foe of health and then give HP back to the wizard. death wizards also have access to a ton of blades and traps that make their spells hit hard and heal for harder. death wizards (not NPCs/mobs) are so hard to kill because they just. will not. die.

simon: life! life wizards are not really hitters at all. i mean they have a few good hits and they can get by if needed, but the school was designed to be a healer school. life wizards aid their allies by healing them consistently whenever needed. they’re a staple on a team to be honest because they are easily the best school. it’s hard to kill a life wizard because they just heal over and over.

maurice: life (again). i think maurice was such a supportive guy, it’s hard to see him as any other school. life wizards tend to be the building blocks of a team, and i feel like that really fits him :)

sam: i split the twins up you’ll see why. anyways, sam is ice. ice schools are almost strictly defensive, they are absolute TANKS, coming in at 10K+ health by the time they’re fully levelled (other schools average 7-9K). this reflects on their attacks, which are less than ideal doing low damage. they specialise is defending themselves and their friends from attacks, with spells like tower shield that do a universal -50% incoming damage. their sole purpose is take the damage so that the hard hitters can get those hits in.

eric: myth. myth wizards are usually solitary wizards, who summon minions to aid them in combat instead of other wizards. their damage is run of the mill, they are probably the third hardest hitting school. they have everything they NEED to get by solo, but it’s not easy. myth pairs best with ice (imo) because if myth can hit and ice can tank, you’ve got a solid duo. which is why they are the twins.

“Dude, you really need a front door.”

Impulse jumped and yelped a little too high pitched for a burly dwarf, turning around to find Doc standing behind him.

“Doc! Hi! Yeah, it’s a work in progress, you know how it goes.” Impulse chuckled and ran a hand ruefully over his beard, mentally scolding himself for not building a door. Now Doc was going to think he was less cool and put together!

“If you’re not careful, any ol’ mob could come right in.” Doc smiled, leered almost, then dropped the dramatics after a second and sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. “Impulse, I need a favor from you, and I hate to ask but I must.”

“What is it?” Impulse asked. He and Doc ran in similar circles- well, only in that they both used redstone. Impulse wasn’t, like, intimidated by Doc… not at all. They were colleagues, friends. Totally. This was a causal conversation.

“Can I be your roommate for a few weeks?”

Now that wasn’t exactly what Impulse had been expecting. “What?” He looked up at the creeper man in confusion.

“I’ve been super angry at my projects this past week, and I need someone who can handle me if I explode.” Doc explained. “I don’t want to explode, but if I do, or try to, I need someone strong to stop me.”

Impulse grinned. “So you think I’m strong?” He wiggled in a self-congratulatory kind of way, super casually flexing.

Doc snorted. “You’re a demon, and you’re currently cosplaying a dwarf who has mined out the inside of this mountain- I've seen you carrying boulders like its nothing. You’re a tank, my friend.”

Impulse knew Doc was laying on the flattery hard, but it was working, so it was acceptable. “Yes, of course you can stay here for a bit. Let me make you up a little Doc corner for you to sleep in.”

“Did someone say interior decoration?” Gem fell through a hole she had mined in the ceiling, crashing to the ground, but scrambling to her feet at once. “Well howdy Doc! It’s been a bit!” Gem took Doc’s hand from his lap and shook it vigorously. “Dang! That’s crazy, how long has it been… probs since you and Ren kept interrupting my peace and quiet with your obnoxious redstone menaces last season!” She was squeezing his hand quite tightly.

“As we can all tell, she doesn’t hold a grudge against you or anything.” Pearl appeared out of the kitchen of the dwarven keep, eating tinfoil and chips. “Also Impulse, you’re out of chips. And tinfoil. No idea why.”

“What- why are you two in my house! How did you get in? When did you get in?” Impulse sputtered.

“No front door.” Doc reminded him, pulling his definitely not throbbing hand away from Gem’s.

“Listen, if Doc is staying with you, he’ll need a cute little room. Me and Pearl are experts at decoration- let us handle making him a room! Please!!!” Gem begged.

“As long as Doc’s okay with it, sure.” Impulse chuckled, raising an eyebrow at Pearl, who was starting to inch away from Gem- clearly this was the first time she was hearing that she would be helping to decorate Doc’s room.

“Go for it- I wanna see what the best builders on the server can do.” Doc said with a smile.

“Fantastic!” Gem grabbed Pearl around the wrist. “Let’s go, Pearl!” She skipped away. “Oh, and Doc? Flattery will not work on us, redstone boy.”

Doc and Impulse watched them go off to an unfinished part of Impulse’s keep and start laying down shulkers.

“See, you have nice neighbors. I just have Scar, who has decided that every moment not trying to ‘hot guy’ me is a moment wasted.” Doc sighed and folded his arms.

“Oh yes, they’re lovely. A few quirks, but I’m sure they’ll treat you well.” Impulse chuckled.

“Quirks?”

Doc found out what those quirks were rather quickly. Impulse had bade him a good night at sunset promptly, saying something about sticking to a schedule, and left Doc in his newly constructed “Doc Room”, which consisted of a red bed, walls with redstone splattered on it, and a stuffed creeper on the bed. Doc was laying there, holding the creeper and trying to sleep. It was hours earlier then he’d usually crash, but he wanted to respect Impulse’s house rules, as he was a guest.

He’d had his eyes closed for a while, but gave up finally and opened them again. He clapped his hand over his mouth to stop from screaming at the sight of Pearl standing over him, eyes wide and all-knowing.

“Pearl?” Doc whispered. “What the fuck are you doing?”

“Watching you sleep. Clearly.” Pearl said nonchalantly, like this was a normal thing to do.

“You can’t just watch people sleep!” Doc sat up, still whispering, but indignant. “It’s weird!”

“No, it’s literally not.” Pearl said, then failing to elaborate on that. “Anyway, you’re not asleep. I don’t sleep. Gem is on her fifth coffee of the night. Do you wanna come haunt Joe Hills with us? We just kind of stand behind trees and walls and recite poems incorrectly at him. It’s not for any kind of revenge or anything, we’re just assholes.”

“I- yes, I guess?” Doc got to his feet and put on his crocs. This was one way to forget about the redstone, he supposed.
