Today’s @wolfstarmicrofic prompt is epic, and this is my apology for my sad post earlier today
(Hint: it’s more hippie Remus x scientist Sirius because this is my new comfort au and I can’t get enough of them.)
Masterpost here!
(278 words.)
“I don’t bloody care if it was an accident!” James watched Sirius shout into the phone, pacing, shoulders tensed, brow furrowed. “You threw out 2 months of work! On the one day I was out of the lab, you managed to pull a stunt like this! Christ, do you understand how many hours I put into this? How many all nighters I pulled? What the hell is wrong with you?!”
The noise seemed to have summoned Remus, who glided easily into the living room in his long, knitted cardigan and an aggressive amount of crystal necklaces. He walked over to Sirius, wrapping his arms around his waist from behind and stopping his pacing. Sirius’ shoulders relaxed, leaning into Remus as his frown melted into a smile for a moment, phone call seemingly forgotten until the smile disappeared again, straight back to anger.
“I don’t need any excuses! I’ll give you a week to go through and replicate what I did, otherwise you’re fucking done, got it? Nope, not my problem now, goodbye.” He hung up and practically tossed his phone onto the sofa, before turning to face Remus, who still had his arms around Sirius. “Fucking Dearborn.” He groaned, dropping his head onto Remus’ shoulder and muffling his voice. “This is a nightmare of bloody epic proportions.”
“Hey, s’alright. Everything’s fine. Just… how about we go and meditate for half an hour or so, then we can enjoy the rest of the day, yeah? Look at everything with a fresh mind tomorrow.”
James almost huffed a disbelieving laugh, then. Of all people, how the hell would Sirius sit through a meditation and just relax when he was that pissed-
“Yeah, yeah, that’s a good idea.”
Oh.
That was… new.

Your storylines' are just the right amount of plot and comfort. You have an amazing way of releasing the tension in just the right places with hilarious sillies, which is a skill many artists/writers have yet to master. Not to mention, you have a beautiful art style that layers highlights with lovely color combos. I remember you saying a while back on a open your shell post that you were trying to find a consistent layering style, but I say you keep it as-is with the differences. The changes in style often lead to Donnies elytra being beautiful in an entirely different way than last time, which captivates me even more. Your blog is the only other tumblr account I check regularly besides @somerandomdudelmao. I just wanted to thank you so much for all the wonderful work you do. 💜🪲🐢

If you just let me *clears throat* vent a little bit:
WHO WROTE THAT SHIT?!
YOU DON'T LET A CHARACTER GO THROUGH AND LEARN SO MUCH JUST TO FUCKING KILL THEM
WHAT MESSAGE DOES THAT SEND?! WHAT'S THE POINT?! THAT THE CHARACTER FREAKING DIES HAPPY?!
I really get the drama, the supposed payoff, BUT WHY NOT SUBVERT THE EXPECTATIONS?
Yes, bad things happen. Every family has to go through this kind of tragedy once in a while, or whatever your interpretation of that trope is - we already know that. This could've been different. And now we're gonna hear how it completes Izzy's character arc and so on... Is it about Blackbeard dying with Izzy because he was a big part of the legend's creation? Can't they really just coexist and heal? Can you imagine Izzy actually becoming the captain while Ed and Stede stay on land?
I don't know, I just... I just really hate this trope...
