And now, I threw this idea at a fellow who is simply me with prompts but even more unhinged and they wrote a thing. I present to you, This:

Escaping containment implies that the content got leaked somehow.

Maybe after so long with dealing with ghosts on their own, especially with ghosts that can control and use tech the people of Amity Park decide to self isolate. Phantom and Red Huntress are considered the only main heroes allowed in Amity, one out of pride and two out of concern of a ghost possessing an foreign hero.

There was a fight and the tech isolation software glitched or a satellite picks up something on accident, letting a small leak occur. Nothing major, just a small joke.

A blurry photo of a white haired teenager with a fancam like edit around him and the words "It's Not Gay if he's Dead."

Which on its own wouldn't have taken off very much on the internet, but someone pointed out that the teenager was wearing what was very obviously a hero outfit. Leading to people wondering just who exactly this hero is or was.

So they dig, and it turns out the “one” leak wasn't the only one to happen.

The internet finds out there's not just one meme. There's hundreds of them. All originating from a single midwestern city and mostly focused around one person, the white haired teenager that is referred to as Phantom in most memes.

Theres edits of a female musician with bright blue hair with text saying “that moment when a dead girl is your bisexual awakening” and “Its not a crush on a villian if shes not alive.”

There's even photos of these slime-like creatures. With dozens of different memes referring to them. Varying from calling them green pigeons, to talking about tossing them like a sports ball.

Theres even a photo of Dash and most of the football team are wearing group shirts that all say “It's Not Gay if he's Dead” with Phantoms logo on it, half as a joke and half because some of them would definitely date Phantom if they could.

It's not even the Justice League that finds the jokes first, it's the younger generation of heroes.

(It's how Tim asks Kon for a date. He sends a meme with Danny getting flunged in the worlds most tumbling superhero pose with the below text "It's not gay if he's dead." Tim immediately sends another text "But it is gay if he's an alien, 10pm picnic date?")

The different memes get passed around, none of them taking them that seriously, until it gets to Batman. One of the memes is sent in the bat group chat by one of the Bat kids to ask Jason about getting group Batburger later. “If your hero’s dead its not gay, it’s just hero worship, even if you want to meet him behind the Nasty Burger.”

It's the hyper specific wording that gets Batman to look into it. He only finds the memes, nothing else. No town called Amity Park, no hero called Phantom, no trace outside of a reference to a defunct and wiped completely clean government branch and references to a nonexist law.

This leads him to contact the Justice League, including the JL Dark, for a meeting.

Surprisingly quite a few members recognize the teen outside of the memes. Flash, Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, and some of the JLD. The Flash refuses to say anything due to timeline continuum dangers. Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter mention someone like him appearing in ancient texts, but nothing beyond that. The JLD that know are physically and contractually unable to say much beyond Phantom being a hero and very important.

It’s Captain Marvel that genuinely knows anything about him. “That's Danny, he's pretty cool. He's even helped me out a few times!”

The rest of the JL are surprised, Marvel gets more questions and answers some of them. He doesn't share the knowledge that he's helped Billy at handling the whole secret child hero thing, and that he's welcome in Amity. Just enough information to make the League stop looking into Phantom, Ember, Cujo, all of Amity.

It works, mostly.

👊It's all jumbled in his head. Past, present, future... It has become all the same to him and Eren is barely able to navigate through his own knowledge and perception of the paths. Yet you... Where do you come from? He can not see you there, inside his head you don't exist, have no spot in the timeline. So what exactly are you? Where do you come from? For the first time in years, Eren can not determine the present not the future as you are a mystery, a phenomenon even the Founder Titan can't see in his abilities. An otherworldly being from a place he can't perceive nor predict. Obviously this imposes a threat on his plan as he can't tell what will happen now since your presence has already changed the future he thought was set in stone. Yet despite all the Yeagerists viewing you as a threat to their plan, as a threat to Eren, Eren himself can't help but feel something different. Obviously initially he doesn't trust you as much as you are something that defies the laws of what should be possible, your body partially made of highest technology.

👊You aren't part of the timeline in his head so you become a pillar, a sign that when he is around you, he is in the present as you've not been part of his past nor are you within the future he sees in his head. You defy his abilities and despite all the fear and caution surrounding you, Eren can't help but suddenly feel a sliver of hope. Hope that maybe the future he thought was unavoidable isn't set in stone after all. You possess knowledge and technology far above what this world has to offer and despite his best attempts to push his hope down, he can't help but wonder if you could help him, save him from his own mind and impending death that crawls closer and closer. Around you the future seems to be still changable instead of one big prediction he has to obey like a slave. The future surrounding you is painted in black, unpredictable and for that full of chances and different ways to go about it. There are options. There is freedom because of your existence in his world.

👊Listening to your stories of your own world, the advanced technology and the fall of your own world in chaos and the end of humanity as he knows it are engrossing and his heart aches when he sees the sadness and defeat in your eyes. Eren's world is filled with life and death, natural things that your planet has lost long ago so despite the terror of his world, you are amazed with everything. This world must look like paradise in comparison to your own world and suddenly he has an idea, a change of heart. He begs you to stay here, help him with your knowledge and the technology you brought with you to create a world where everyone can live a better life free of the fear of war and sudden death. You could stay here with him, live a life worthy of living instead of returning to the hell that your own planet has become centuries ago. He wants it, Eren wants a future with you where he can stay with you for his entire life and suddenly the acceptance he thought he had developed for his own death crushes his soul and heart. He's scared, desperate. So stay with him. Help him. Save him from a fate that was forced upon him and that he has been carrying around all by himself for so long.

Mikasa Ackerman

🧣Imprisoned upon discovery, you are a well-kept secret within Paradise Island as you are an abnormality, something that shouldn't exist. Your body made of flesh, blood and metal and your flying ship with which you ascended from the sky all defy everything they thought they knew. Whether you are a friend or foe has yet to be decided and for now you're kept isolated and imprisoned in the cells. You possess a vast amount of knowledge and inventions far above what Paradise Island has so many try to convince you to work for their course, under them the fraction surrounding Mikasa. They plead for your help to assist them with their task yet your eyes are drawn to Mikasa, the woman who is fairly quiet and often just observes you. Looking at you is sometimes hard for her as your body is human yet also not human, some parts of you modified for scientific purposes as you've told her on a couple of occasions when she came to visit you alone to ask questions she couldn' ask in front of the others.

🧣It surprises her to discover how much human-like you still are and you catch her within her surprise when asking her if she expected you to merely act like a machine as parts of your body have become one. She never admits that to you but you sense slight guilt as she acts a bit more friendly around you after that. Still cold and quiet but a welcoming presence nevertheless in your life which hasn't been this peaceful and quiet in a long time. When you confess this to Mikasa she can't help but wonder what must be going on in your world to describe hers as tranquil and the mere imagination of what your own planet might be like resorts in a heavy feeling in the pit of her stomach, a lump of nervousness and concern for you. You notice an increase in her visits as both of you often just sit in silence with you occasionally telling her a bit about your own world whilst Mikasa just sits there. It's alright though, you know that she's listening to every word you're saying.

🧣Out of the blue, she promises you one day to make sure to release you from this cell you're locked in, her dark eyes looking at you with an emotion you've never seen anyone expressing in your world before. Infatuation. Suddenly the woman who has been keeping it quiet in regards for you for such a long time suddenly grows active and demands you to be freed. No one knows where this sudden burst of desperation to get you out of that place came from but Mikasa isn't backing down. Hell, she'll break you out of there herself if she has to. The only reason why you haven't done so yourself is because you've come to this galaxy for peaceful purposes and she's boiling with anger on the inside when seeing the Yeagerists coming up with all sorts of excuses why you can't be released. You have more humanity inside of you than all those delusional bastards combined. It's going to be alright, she promises this to you often whilst looking at you through the prison bars separating the both of you. She's going to free you, is going to protect you from anything that tries to label you as a monster and tries to take you away from her.

Armin Arlert

🐚He's send to talk with you when you first land on Paradise Island, ascended from heaven itself as some people rumor. Armin is polite and friendly yet also observant and careful around you when he meets you for the first time. He has no plans to harm you though as he wants to discuss what your purpose is for coming to Paradise Island. It quickly becomes clear to him that you aren't associated with Marley nor with anyone else on this planet. You confess everything to him rather openly in exchange for him providing you with information on his planet. It's hard to believe at first but after considering it and you showcasing him the mystery that is your own body and some of the inventions you have on your starship, it doesn't look all that ludicrous anymore. You've come from an entirely different galaxy and have just gotten lost on your mission of researching new life on other planets. Instantly the chance if you were to stay and support them becomes clear and Armin gives it his best to convince you to stay here a bit longer.

🐚You're fine with it. In exchange of letting you research as much as you want, you provide information yourself and actively get involved with leveling their weapons and technology up, fascinated and bewildered with some of the stuff you find there as this would be ancient for you and far too inconvenient on your planet as it has evolved to high technology. You sense Armin's blue eyes on you though, sense his curiosity and so you invite him to join you on your starship as you spend hours in your laboratory, collecting data and examining plants and animals there, even Armin is being made a bit of a test subject but you promise to not hurt him so he carefully agrees as you use machines on him to measure his brain activity and circulatory system. To your delight he isn't only curious but also smart as he memorizes what you tell him and asks you questions of his own which you gladly answer. Soon Armin even decides to lead you to some places outside of your starship as he hears that life and nature have ceased to exist on your planet in favor of technology.

🐚Astonishment of what you and your planet are capable of gradually fade away to horror as you reveal more and more about yourself and your world. Life doesn't exist, even the concept of emotions has been deemed unnecessary on your planet as only technology and science are what makes the world. It helps him understand why you are so fascinated with the simplest of things in his world and his heart beats faster in his chest when he manages to amaze you with something and sees the childish thrill in your eyes. You can sense it, his accelerated heartbeat, his dilated pupils and the hormones his body is releasing which triggers feelings of euphoria when he as much as lays eyes on you. Armin is in love. With you. You don't tell him for now as that may change his behavior around you, you want to observe for a while longer. You notice his cheeks blushing, how he stumbles over his own words when you're physically too close to him. Yet you also notice how he often talks with you about staying longer, carefully choosing his words to convince you to just stay and never return to your old home and seems awfully anxious when not around you, his body in distress. You wonder if love is supposed to work like this.

Okay so the thing is. Compared to Leon or even compared to his time spent with Los Illuminados we don’t,,,, k n o w a whole lot about that portion of Luis’ life

Like OK if you’re speaking in logistics/canon compliancy then no alas it wouldn’t work at all JANSHSNDJXNX Laboratory Six (the Lab Luis worked in that made Nemesis) was set in Paris, France, and by the time the Raccoon City Outbreak had started, Luis had already fled Umbrella and presumably ended up in Valdelobos (sure there’s a CHANCE he might’ve floated around Europe for a while but?? He describes his time spent working on the Plagas as having been ‘years’ so I’m assuming he went straight to Valdelobos)

The timeline gets kinda wonky with Luis- he would’ve roughly been 22 when he fled umbrella, and it would’ve been anywhere between a couple months to a year before the RC Outbreak, and which meant he spent five or six years trapped by Los Illuminados give or take???? Which makes how he got a degree, went to college, got a job at Umbrella and spent enough time there to become one of their head scientists really funny to imagine when you remember he was only 21/22 when he fled HDBSHDNSJS like damn that man is a CHILD PRODIGY!!!! ((It also makes it DEVASTATING to imagine how he found out about Raccoon City one way or another but HEY I SAID NOTHING))

But if you’re talking in an AU or personality wise???? That’s a WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY IM CHOMPING AT THE BIT FOR

Honestly I don’t think it’d be TOOOO different to their actual dynamic, just that they were both a lot younger and had a lot more maturing to do!!!! Again we don’t really know what kind of a person Luis was when he was younger other than that he was SUPER ambitious (which makes sense), probably a little more floaty/cocky (I don’t think he was lying about being a ladies man HXNSSJHD) overly curious and just generally really well-liked by his peers!! Like he considered them his family so I imagine he was probably just a more roughhouse version of the Luis we know him as now. We also don’t know how much of the Nemesis project Luis was aware of- given his upbringing I HIGHLY doubt Luis would go into umbrella knowing full well the scope of what they’re doing but I think it’s unrealistic to say he had malicious intent the entire time!!!

But adding onto that I think his guilt would be a LOT more apparent and repressed at the same time. Like when we see him in RE4R he’s already at a point where he’ll throw himself into the fire to fix his mistakes so can you IMAGINE what it must’ve been like when he was FRESH out of said mistakes????? Would he have tried to pretend they never happened??? Would it manifest as being destructive??? Who knows!!!!!! But I know for a fact Leon’s presence would DEFINITELY throw him for a loop HDBEHENDJD

Leon in RE2 is just PAINFULLY good at heart. Like we all know this you don’t need me to repeat it HXBSHSNS all he wants from the very start is to help anyone and everyone he can, and I think that would extend to Luis too. He’s obviously a lot more trusting too (like blah bla everyone get your jokes abt him believing that Ada was an FBI agent out of the way) so I don’t think he’d have AS strong of a grudge against Luis as he does in the remake. Sure I think he’d be WARY of him but if Luis was as honest and open as he is in re4r (even with a little prodding) which I think he definitely would be, ESPECIALLY cuz of, Y’know, waves hands, the debilitating guilt BXNSHNSJS Leon wouldn’t have a hard time trusting him in the end

What ID be SUPER INTERESTED IN is what would happen AFTER RC!!!! Would Leon try to protect Luis from the law???? Would Luis follow in Leon’s footsteps and be a government agent???? Would they both run away to Valdelobos and BOTH get stuck?????????

TLDR FOR THIS ACCIDENTALLY REALLY LONG POST AHWNWHWNDUDJSK I don’t think it’d be much different!!!!!!! They’d just have more maturing to do, which I think is weirdly beautiful!!!!!! Leon is still rather naive and optimistic and overly trusting and Luis is still wild and ambitious and overly curious about the world around him!!!!!! They’re good people at heart and I think their lives would’ve been a whole lot different if they’d just met at a different time and a different place

i’m back to say that magnificent was so so so good!! i love the uta mihawk interactions and how mihawk wants to protect her. i think my favorite part though was when mihawk was talking to shanks all nervous about whether he could call uta his daughter, but shanks answers with an “of course.”

this fic made me wonder why mihawk would do if he was present during the one piece film red… would he come along with the red crew, or would he already be there like the others (luffy, law, etc)?

UH, long answer short: i kind of have headcanons that position him before, during, and after the movie hahaha. sorry this reply turned out longer than i expected but my brain's got a mihawk & uta agenda goin' on rn. 😂 thanks again for the ask! ➡️

i actually have a bit of a draft going of mihawk seeing the "shanks destroys elegia" headline, seeing what's up, and finding uta, which i started before i wrote up magnificent lol. that's kinda where i picture him--doing something before everything happens, bc his curiosity makes him wonder why shanks would do smthg so uncharacteristic.

i recognize that's kind of a cop-out answer tho LOL so in regards to the movie itself in the canon(ish) timeline, i imagine he'd probably be there beforehand like luffy etc. he'd be there bc buggy and his crew got tickets and he was somehow dragged there against his will (similar to how law says he's chaperoning bepo but a lot more antagonistic about it aha), probably bc croc decides it might be beneficial to go, for whatever reason. probably scoping the crowd. (pls imagine the cross guild at uta's concert garnering Looks and standing out very obviously, but no one wants to say anything about it LOL even if the crowd is very anti-pirate. like, the strawhats and soen charlottes were there so. why not some ex-warlords?)

when there, he'd be like, "hey wait isn't that shanks's kid? didn't he say she left to sing? huh." and then maybe possibly even dial shanks on his baby den den about it bc if he's the type to bring luffy's poster all the way to an island, he'd probably try to ring up shanks. then he wouldn't be able to connect and clock that something is Up bc he knows shanks is just kinda hanging on his ship rn, on his way out from wano. i dont think he'd be with shanks along with his crew, and i dont think he'd bother going after the fact to help if he wasn't there to start with, which is why i think he'd already be there for separate reasons. ;P

anyways, i also have the start of an idea where the movie happens but uta survives, and shanks, stressed, is like, "hey, y'know what, everything's ramping up and everyone's trying to kill uta and she's still recovering from this wakeshroom shit so she'd probably be safer on land but the marines will be looking for all my known close associates... i'm gonna drop her off with mihawk. he trained those two other kids and the misanthropic fucker (affectionate) has probably found a new island by now anyways, since he isn't a warlord anymore. it should be fine. he'll say yes."

he sets out with his crew to follow mihawk's vivre card. benn and yasopp get the news coo and start laughing about something but they don't tell him, and whatever, he's going to see mihawk soon. he's definitely being led to land, which makes him feel vindicated, until it becomes more and more clear that the structure standing out on the shore is a huge big top tent, and there's an unfortunately very familiar flag flying, and shanks is like, "oh god, don't tell me," and then promptly has to dodge a flying fist and yelling about how he isn't welcome here and what the fuck is mihawk doing with buggy???? and benn and yasopp, having seen the cross guild poster in the news and hidden it from shanks, are laughing so hard at him while he deals with this momentary crisis where two completely different parts of his life have seem to connected without his knowing about it.

(buggy is happy to see uta bc for all that they fight shanks and buggy did make some sort of effort with their brotherhood every now and then so he knows uta and she calls him "uncle bugs"!; mihawk ofc says "yes" to taking care of her bc he feels qualified to handle young adults now lol (he says this with an air of gravitas that is hilarious when considering how he interacts with zoro and perona, which is stoically and poorly); uta makes fun of her dad relentlessly for not having made any moves on the guy he's been in a situationship with since she was a literal child; and croc comes home from a meeting to find international pop sensation uta (that the news said tried to take over the world during her concert or something???) reclined on their couch drinking tea. wild day for everyone.)

FELLOW YURI LOVER HELLO <3 I love your art and I wanted to pick your brain for any Lunatic theories or headcanons ya got, if you're up for it! I've always had this thought and wanted to ask other Tiger & Bunny fans about it, but how do you think the Petrov family was doing after Legend's death? How do you think Yuri got through law school to become a judge while taking care of his mom??

Ohhhhhh Anon we are sharing a braincell right now. Buckle up.

(CW for the theories ahead, dealing with themes of trauma, domestic violence, child abuse, and alcoholism)

First off, I absolutely think Yuri and Olga were not wanting for money at all after Legend's death, even before Yuri became a judge. There were probably no financial worries whatsoever for Yuri getting through law school, either. Mr. Legend was the hero in Sternbild for the longest time, so there was likely a sizeable life insurance policy and inheritance for them.

Also for sure Maverick threw hush money their way because while the alcoholism was bad enough then that meant Hero TV ABSOLUTELY was not gonna let the news out that Legend's death was because he was about to kill his wife and child. Case in point for this one is that when Ben got the info for Kotetsu about NEXT powers fading, Ben only had info about the alcoholism; not that Legend was an abuser nor that Yuri was his son.

I could make an entirely separate post and go on for days about the fuckery I think was going on between Yuri and Maverick, but I wanna stay on-topic for your question. another day... maybe... if its asked...

So... onto the sadder part!

What Happened to the Petrovs?

So... disclaimer: I am NOT a mental health professional... however I am a childhood abuse survivor, so I'm really just pointing out patterns I recognize from my own experiences.

In Ep. 16 of Season 1 when we got Yuri's backstory reveal, I couldn't help but make mental note of his mom and how they interacted. When we first see her, she's not only elderly and disabled to where she needs mobile assistance, but she's also clearly having some sort of memory lapse into a time where the abuse wasn't happening, given her cheery way of talking when she does go into these episodes.

However... When Yuri reminds her that his father is dead, it shocks Olga and kind of snaps her out of it... and her instant response is to start verbally abusing Yuri and throwing things at him.

Yuri not flinching we could first think 'yeah his reflexes as Lunatic are probably making him aware he doesn't need to dodge' but like... what if it's that and that he's used to it...?

I think that the mental condition we see Olga with in the beginning hasn't been going on for too long. If we go off the first movie's timeline of things, Yuri implies that he came to Sternbild and was just appointed as a judge for the city.

Also there's this air in the way Yuri was walking around the house and talking to his mom in S1. Ep16 that makes it feel like this is one of the first times in a while he's been around her. he's also still learning the ropes of being a caretaker for an elderly person, bc as someone who used to work with CNAs and nurses in a retirement home the last thing you want to do when someone's having a memory lapse is forcefully pull them out of it, unless of course the writers for the show themselves just didn't know

All of this to me this feels like Yuri has only just recently come back to Sternbild and moved in with his mom in order to take care of her.

With Olga she obviously was very in love with her husband and adored her son before the downward spiral began. That much is apparent later on in Season 2 where we see Olga (albeit almost permanently in this memory-lapse state) being quite tender and affectionate towards Yuri and acting towards him like she did when he was a child (cue the heartbreaking flashback to how she really really wanted to make the cookies Yuri loved on the night she died).

However, in the moments where she's lucid again and acting negatively towards Yuri, I think this is the truth of their dynamic after Legend died.

Trauma from abuse can do... weird things to people.

Now any of us can sit back and say 'if my child went through the horrible agony of killing their own father to save the both of us I would simply cherish and care for them, RIP but I'm built dif', or 'if my husband started abusing me and my son I would simply divorce him' but... people and legality can be more complicated and messier than that.

I'm not going to get into the semantics on if Yuri's mom was a completely bad person or anything like that (bc the whole theme of the Petrovs is 'there are no only good or only bad people, there's just people), but I'll flat out say that I think a bit after Legend's death Olga was at the very least verbally abusing Yuri.

The complete disregulation of her brain from the abuse and violent death of her husband PLUS all the ways Hero TV was probably covering things up must have messed her up some type of way that she blamed Yuri for their life being turned upside down and was resentful towards him.

On the flipside, on Yuri's part, he absolutely has a deeply complicated relationship with his mother on TOP of how fucked up he is from his father. He doesn't regret stepping in as a child and saving her, but for sure there's a painful wound still stinging in his chest about how their relationship was damaged and never really recovered. With how bitter and toxic things with his mom probably got, Yuri might have left home at some point or was even kicked out.

As for Yuri's personal mental state, I mean the show highlights pretty clearly that he is NOT okay. Yuri has very intense PTSD to the point of constantly reliving when his powers activated and he killed his father to having hallucinations of his father mocking him.

His perception on morality has been pretty skewed to the point of being super vengeful to whoever he perceives as 'wicked', which comes through not just as Lunatic but in his dayjob as a judge where he's known for giving out heavy-handed sentences.

(i mean usually this vengefulness as Lunatic is directed to serial killers or violent criminals, so.... it could be worse, I guess...?).

Now... Back to Yuri and his mom... So for those of us who did survive a toxic family/parent, I'm sure we can look at anyone who asks and say 'lmao fuck my shitty family, I don't care what happens to them' but... let's get real, that shit hurts. Especially like in Yuri's case where the family member wasn't always abusive or at least wasn't in the beginning.

So when the times comes for whatever phone call that Yuri got to come take care of Olga in her old age, I think he was still bitter about how she treated him and was mentally prepared for everything to be nonstop difficult and depressing. And I mean from there we see in the series how things go; exactly that.. But as Olga's mental state deteriorates, in some fucked up bittersweet way her relationship with Yuri greatly improves. Like... to the point where in the very end Yuri was happy to talk to her on the phone and spend time with her. Which again, for those of us that have lived this IRL, is HUGE.

I'm not going to get into Season 2 endgame spoilers, but the ultimate fate of the Petrov family depresses me to no end. I DO like though in S2 Ep20 how Yuri was able to get a LITTLE bit of closure for himself.

I just still maintain a lot of things for him in the end of the series should have been handled differently.

Hi, thank you for the ask!! >:)

Not many general headcanons make it into my work because I tend to write about specific concepts, so this was fun!

I love all interpretations of the XS timeline, but I don't think they were together during the story's canon. Post-canon and I can see an argument for the TYL arc. Extremely dubious on anything pre-cradle affair.

Xanxus is absolutely the jealous type, but he won't address it in a practical way. He's known to cling to his possessions, right?

On that note - Dino, count your days.

Xanxus is very much into Squalo's hair. If he can touch it, he will, whether that's a pleasant touch or not.

Besta likes Squalo the most after Xanxus himself, and will try to smother him and kiss him, which Xanxus ignores like he's getting paid for it.

It's a private relationship, for several reasons. Not many people know about it, and if they do, they're not going to comment on it lest they want to part ways with their face.

Except for Luss, of course, who bombards Squalo with dumb questions when they have downtime, none of which are answered. That 101 battles was ROUGH.

No pet names other than the usual insults that probablyyy count as pet names. But don't tell them I said that.

Xanxus runs warm because of his flame (why he can run around half shirtless), and Squalo runs cold (why he wears fur and coats and earmuffs all the time!) The ideal temperature equilibrium for cuddling.

This is canon, but Xanxus is overall calmer when Squalo is around HQ.

Squalo finds Xanxus' scars attractive as they relate to his rage, but he wouldn't mention it because of the sore topic. If Xanxus ever lost control over his scars in a sexual context, well....

Squalo has had feelings for Xanxus since the beginning. He must've been pretty convinced things were going to work out, huh? When you know you know etc. etc.

Xanxus has some Avengers level threat internalized homophobia. His whole complex is over being heir to the Vongola, and part of that role is having a family and children, so being with a man would be really hard for him to comes to terms with. Also, the stereotypes of gay men that he'd be acquainted with go against the persona he's made for himself.

In effect, it's really hard for him to be openly affectionate. Queue glass throwing and hair pulling.

SAME TANGENT because I see this way too much but these two could not be a casual FWB situation given Xanxus' complex.

Okay so this is based on the inheritance ceremony where Timoteo is a little bitch to Squalo for no reason. THOSE TWO BEEF LIKE CRAZY IN THE MOST PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE "IN LAWS" WAY POSSIBLE. Squalo obviously dislikes him because he ruined Xanxus' life and is dismissive of the Varia as a whole, Timoteo dislikes him because he thinks he's trying to get with his son and go against what a right hand man is supposed to be.

If there's one thing that's going to fluster (fluster!?) Varia Captain and Sword Emperor Superbia Squalo, it's going to be Xanxus. Squalo never expected to get this far, so when he spends his life in respectful admiration and is suddenly getting bombarded with what would otherwise be normal couple behavior, he doesn't know what to do.

Xanxus pretends to be unaware of the effect he has, but definitely knows and extorts it because it's cute

So, I was going through the Bounty hunter Eclipse tag because I am very normal about him as we all know, and rereading the alternative reveal of y/n's past, I was wondering how that conversation with him goes? You mentioned it's not pretty, but I imagine by this point Eclipse has shown himself worthy enough of the vigilante's (maybe not complete but most of their) trust, because in this timeline he does eventually earn a chain as a gift as well!

On one hand, the vigilante being furious is a given, because it made them panic pretty bad and it wasn't his secret to tell, as much as it wasn't actually a secret. On the other hand it obviously brings to light something that Eclipse is obviously struggling with as well. Clearly it's not the exact same, as he actually enjoys the violence and still craves power, but he is trying to make sure to not cross a certain line to not comlpletely lose what he values even above power: his brothers. In contrast, y/n's motivation is clearly a sense of justice and a desire to make up for the harm they caused, with keeping the detectives coming as a priority shortly after too.

There's lots to discuss on that front! Like y/n exclaiming how it's clear they can't trust him after all, and they knew it (despite that anger towards him probably being in part from a sense of betrayal), and also y/n demanding to know how exactly he knew about that. Or Eclipse asking why it's so different with them? Why are y/n's actions so much more forgivable to his brothers, when arguably they did much worse than him, and they still are on the other side of the law when although violent and admittedly a bit sadistic, he is technically doing things legally (Though I'm sure he toes or crosses the line frequently XD). Which is why he brought it up in the first place in the original argument. Their work is still rather similar even! Because it's not that y/n stopped slaughtering people, as they are capable of gunning down entire gangs almost single handedly. They just now do so with the objective of bettering the city instead of following the lead of the man that would have it rot to its core. Y/n might get even more heated about that because unlike Eclipse, they didn't even have an illusion of a choice. For years it was that or death. (Though they know there were some very mixed feelings about it, with how much anger they used to harbor and that might get mentioned too).

I can see that conversation going south very quickly between them, before it gets better. Maybe they sort of reach an understanding right then, or maybe they end on a sour note and have to rebuild what they had managed from the start? I feel like in this version Eclipse has more ground to claim similarities in their situations, because their ARE some very clear ones between the both of them even in the main SJ (though we know how blind Mafia Boss Eclipse was to the very crucial differences), and that would be an uncomfortable thing to have to confront for y/n I think. Even through their very justified anger towards Eclipse.

Oh and a little off topic, but I also wanted to ask! You mention that y/n does end up stealing one of Eclipse's bells to tie with the others (which I've already expressed how much I love that as symbolism heh X3) but I was curious as to what does he do with those or where he keeps them? I somehow don't see him as the type to wear them, and in main SJ he uses it as a symbol of who is not to be messed with by his gang (or rather who he considers his property which sends the same message). But as a Bounty Hunter, does he keep the ribbons tucked away in a drawer in a safehouse of his (or wherever he lives)? Or would he keep them on his person in a pocket or something as a way to keep his brothers in mind, maybe to remind himself not to go too far again lest he lose them? I'm very curious when and how exactly vigilante manages to snatch one of those haha

Oh yesss! I have been mulling this ask over and over in my brain for a few days now, and oh, I'm so excited to get into it!

The conversation is anything but civil. Y/N is whirling from the panic and fear of almost losing their two favorite detectives and devastated by this twisted reveal of their past without their consent. Eclipse is still frustrated and bitter over the fact that his brothers still welcome Y/N with open arms.

That goes as well as you might expect, dissolving into violence and shouting. Before Y/N can run away from him, again, Eclipse catches them in his arms as they struggle to kick and punch but can't really do much but squirm and curse at him. He explains in quick, growling words that he doesn't understand. It's driving him mad that Sunny and Moonie cherish them while his brothers only look at him like a monster. It slowly stalls Y/N's struggle, but not their aching heart.

Y/N doesn't understand either. Not the detectives love for them, and not how Eclipse could give up their past so easily. Y/N is sharp and cruel when they congratulate Eclipse—he fooled them. Round of applause for him. They'll take exit stage left now and let him keep the show he stole and leave with what they can of their misplaced trust.

Eclipse doesn't want this. It hits how much he doesn't want to lose them or this tentative bridge they've built but only now does he see the blaze he just set to it.

He lets them go, without bruise or blood, and Y/N is not settled nor fine, but before they can disappear, Eclipse begs for forgiveness. His plea stops Y/N dead. They look back to him, not believing him, but they have never seen him so contrite. It... it isn't him, but here he is.

Y/N tells him no. He can't have their forgiveness, and in sharp retort just to make sure it hurts a little more, Y/N informs him that they're going to see Sun and Moon because that's still something they're struggling to come to terms with and they desperately need reassurance from those they trust wholeheartedly.

Eclipse is left standing there, boiling in place, but he is frantic in his head while watching them slip away before he can catch and squeeze them.

He doesn't know how to fix this. He doesn't know what to do. He's losing control.

He wants Y/N back but he can't do it with his previous methods of barely withheld bloodlust and his crushing grasp.

But that's a conversation for after wounds are less tender, and a more valiant effort is placed into proving his change of heart, or rather, celestial wire. He needs to gain control, and that begins with himself.

A less angsty answer here for what Eclipse does with his burgundy ribbons and bells, he has one stashed away in his inner suit jacket pocket—a cruel connection to his brothers and a grim reminder of what he's gained freedom from. The other is in his safehouse, tucked away. Y/N steals the one he keeps in his safehouse once he's truly changed for the better (a rare moment when he's caught off guard by their antics) but Eclipse does allow Y/N to have that other bell as well.

Mind sharing some of your Tracer headcanons? Feel free to say no!

OMG OF COURSE! I'D LOVE TO! I have SO many though, but I'll pick a some so we're not here all day LMAO

Some serious ones:

- When Lena was in high school, she used to have a group of punk-rock friends and together do so many things that...didn't go exactly hand-in-hand with the law. This being: going to raves/free parties (she just went there for the bands as shown in London's Calling), trespassing places and graffitying messages and images on the walls.

- Despite all of that, she was extremely good at the math oriented classes. She wanted to become a pilot after all!

- She eventually and slowly drifted away from that "illegal" life as that group of friends wasn't the greatest influence.

- Lena's mind wasn't quite right after she was found from the Slipstream. She had seen parts of many different timelines and alternate universes that would mess on who she knew and who they were. For example, she'd look at Dr. Angela and remember her as Mercy, then as a Witch, then as an Infinite Seer, and then remember she barely knew her at all.

-She eventually forgot most of those "dreams" once she was all anchored but a strong gut feeling about certain people and situations stayed.

Like in Alive, she hadn't seen or heard Widowmaker, yet she knew something was wrong and where to look.

(Bit backed up by the comics when they later released this scene lol)

- She had constant nightmares about the Slipstream for a long while after she was found, but they eventually stopped. She only has them once in a while now but not to the point of a full panic attack.

Some happier ones:

- Don't let her short appearance fool you. She's actually pretty strong! (Not Zarya strong, obviously, but still strong)

- She loves to take a jog early in the morning before starting the day. It helps burn some energy she may have to spare.

- She'd hear her iconic phrase "Cheers love! The cavalry's here!" SO MUCH that she grew tired of it. That's why she says "It's time to save the world!" now.

- She's a mess when she cooks, but she makes an amazing breakfast.

- Her Chronal Accelerator stays most of the time out in the living room, but on some occasions, it is moved to the bedroom so it serves as a night light. It comforts Lena by having it close when she has those nightmares.

- If you've seen @gaycer-as-tracer Lemon Tea headcanons of my kiddos at the end, I can say that Lena is 100% the fun mother that spoils her kids a little too much.

On the possibility of Cobb Vanth's return:

Obviously, most of us who are invested in the character do not simply accept that they showed Cobb being alive in the bacta tank (and awaiting "augmentation") at the end of BOBF for no reason. We have to assume that he is coming back in some capacity, and that leads to the question of where and when.

There are a few Star Wars shows upcoming, and clearly he could show up in one of them; but the question is which one?

Ahsoka is, of course, the next series that will be airing, but I doubt he will show up in that because, #1 - Timothy Olyphant already had several projects going on when it was being produced; and #2 - there's already a LOT going on in that story... a lot to unpack and follow, and having Cobb show up for a cameo would kind of have to be shoehorned in and serve not much of a purpose.

And since The Acolyte apparently takes place before A New Hope, it is out of the running.

There is always, of course, the chance of Cobb showing up in future seasons of The Mandalorian or The Book Of Boba Fett, but I want to talk to you about Skeleton Crew, which I believe is the most likely candidate.

It apparently features (Jedi?) Jude Law escorting a group of kids home, all while protecting them from a group of pirates. Now the reason I believe this is where we will see Cobb is several-fold:

It takes place in the Mandalorian / Ahsoka / Book Of Boba Fett era (several years after the Return Of The Jedi), and apparently features Vane, the pirate that escaped at the end of the battle with Gorian Shard, so having Cobb show up is not out of the question.

This is to be a "road trip" storyline, which means the Jedi will be taking the kids from planet to planet; and of course, everyone on a Star Wars road trip eventually ends up on Tatooine. Additionally, Jude Law mentioned on The Tonight Show seeing Jawas on set. Now, of course Jawas live on more planets than just Tatooine, but it is where they are native to.

Jude's character may have a history with Cobb to begin with. It is questionable whether he is actually a Jedi, since the timeline might suggest that he was still padawan age (young adult, not child) when Order 66 took place. He might, in that case have either somehow escaped Order 66 by being away and then found himself alone and without direction, or else he was never a Jedi (in training or otherwise) to begin with, but was simply force-sensitive and tried to emulate the Jedi with poor results. In either case, his age meshes with Cobb's (who himself has shown a touch of Force sensitivity in the past), in that Jude is currently 50 years old, while Timothy is 55, making them both contemporary with Anakin, to the point where they might have known the future Darth when they were all slaves on Tatooine.

The central group of characters are children, and we already know that Cobb has a soft spot for kids. In particular: questioning whether or not it was a good idea to fight in front of Grogu (and assuming he misread Din's intentions when he saw he had a kid with him), expressing concern for the school, not questioning it for a moment when Din told him to take care of Grogu, and asking where the "Little Guy" was when Din showed up in TBOBF. He might, in fact, turn out to be better than Jude's character is with the kids, and teach the Jedi a thing or two about how to deal with them.

One of the children will apparently have an augmentation; so if Cobb is having trouble coming to terms with his own, then she might very well help him to accept and even embrace it:

For anyone wondering about what I was talking about when I said Cobb might be force-sensitive, I mentioned it here, in response to the lovely post @martamatta95 made about it being possible Obi-Wan and Cobb were brothers.

Or, to reiterate, there was the moment when Cobb hears the wind chimes, then he seems to sense something coming:

And how he knew that Cad was a threat even from a distance, but was willing to give Din the benefit of the doubt right after meeting him -- almost as if he could sense their intentions.

It would also explain how Cobb is so fast on the draw, (despite being a former slave who would most likely not have been trusted with a blaster) since he may have some sort of precognition going on. Only an instant into the future, perhaps, but still enough to get the drop on other gunslingers. And so the only reason Cad managed to get the first shot off was because the deputy distracted Cobb. It is completely possible that with more understanding of the force, Cobb would have managed to take Cad down first.

So anyway, I am holding out hope that Cobb appears in Skeleton Crew. Any thoughts?

just saw a post talking about the tlt cast doing kpop dance challenges and couldn't shut up so now i'm making my own post. i know significantly more about girl groups than i do boy groups, so i'm assigning everyone a girl group and/or female soloist enjoy.

judith: she was a wonder girls stan growing up and acts like it was just a casual phase but she still religiously awaits every comeback from sunmi

marta: mamamoo. she's not actually involved with the fandom in any way she just knows good vocals when she hears em

coronabeth: she has pretty broad tastes for the most part and tends to be a bit inconsistent with her ults-- these days it's ive and she is THE wonyoung defender, but she had a hell of a red velvet phase before that, and there was also a good while when she was big into momoland.

ianthe: aoa. miniskirt was the only song of theirs that she knew before the scandal she hopped onto that ship right as it was sinking. i do also think corona showed her the monster mv when it came out and she was obligated by sisterly law to make fun of it but then promptly binged every single thing red velvet has ever created.

babs: a boygroup stan but he makes an exception for ioi (somi specifically).

isaac: he likes nmixx and aespa, but i think he's more intense about craxy and a couple other nugu groups. he enjoys the newer songs that sound like three completely different songs got smashed together my boy wants NOISE.

jeannemary: DREAMCATCHER. girlie is the biggest somnie on earth and has a massive crush on dami and sua in particular. she's a big girlcrush enjoyer in general though she also stans everglow, pixy, and purplekiss.

abigail: girl's generation, obviously.

magnus: i mean he of course likes anything his wife likes especially because she appreciates the classics, but i think he also really loves like. gugudan and fromis. honestly? 9muses too idk why every group with the number 9 in it has his vibes but they all do.

palamedes: stans every girlgroup that has ever existed with all his heart and soul, but especially stayc, billlie, and loona. he's one of those orbits who actually knows all the lore too.

camilla: was a casual blackjack back in the day but the only gg she's really into is g-idle. she appreciates it when a group has some artistic freedom, and also can tell when an idol actually knows how to rap vs just not knowing how to sing.

dulcinea: nature, gfriend, and chungha. she likes cutesy groups that do total 180s in concept i think nature dropping girls was one of the best days of her damn life.

protesilaus: fifty fifty but he stanned before cupid released. also cignature he really likes nugu groups.

silas: gangnam style is the only kpop song he has ever heard and he is deeply distraught upon learning that there's more.

colum: he enjoys one (1) song by a kpop girl group and it is la vie en rose by iz*one

harrowhark: by and large does not listen to kpop but she saw the mv to paradise lost by gain as a young teenager and it Did Something To Her. i think there's a timeline out there where she's a cheshire but in that timeline her parents love her

gideon: so ik i gave mamamoo to marta but gideon appreciates a hot woman with hella ability to command a stage and mamamoo is four of those. she likes hyuna for the exact same reason but i am especially talking about red/roll deep/how's this era hyuna. oh and exid.

mercymorn: she's a blink.

augustine: and he, naturally, is a once!

gide1: rania do NOT ask me why because i do not have an answer.

pyrrha: sistar. she biases hyolyn like hell and considers dally to be the song of the myriad.

cytherea: was pristin's number one fan and that's why she's like that now

john: newjeans. you KNOW that man is super shy

nona: thinks every song by a girlgroup is the best song ever. palamedes got her into loona but she doesn't know any of the lore he tries to explain it and she just goes TAKE ME HIGH! HIGH! HIGH! HIGH-- she also loves itzy and now is getting into kiss of life but mainly that's because of the dance break in shhh (which she tried to learn but she can't balance on one foot that long)

alecto: honestly i think she would learn that the kpop industry exists and immediately go on a murderous rampage against every ceo in the universe, but she plays karma by blackswan in the background when she does it.

Batfam-Soul Eater AU

Bruce is a weapon and he’s a gun. And he fucking hates it like Despises it

Talia turned him into a death scythe but lord death never makes him transform. He’s just a strategist and a teacher now.

Talia is a witch but she hid it until after she made Bruce a death scythe.

Also Bruce’s like honor code is a little different here since “no killing” is kinda silly when the only reason the academy exists is to kill kishins he thinks A: everyone is constantly teetering on the edge of madness all the time. And B: it is a moral failing if you succumb to the madness. Which is why he didn’t go after the joker after Jason, because doing so would have been giving in to the madness.

Dick is a meister

He bounced back and forth between Barbara who is a grappling hook and also a meister and Kori who is some sort of lava cannon or something.

Barbara got Severely hurt during a fight while wielding Jason and had to stop for a while. She’s back at it though, helping Bruce as a strategist and as like “Mission Control” Bruce is guiding her to take over for him someday.

Dick now fights with Wally who is his like electric escrima sticks because speedster=lightning in my mind.

Jason is also a gun but he thinks it’s Very cool. Barbara was with Jason when they were assigned to take down the joker who is a kishin egg. He killed Jason and severely injured Babs.

Jason was revived by Talia because obviously, using the black blood and he was overtaken by the madness for a while before being pulled back towards sanity by his friends.

Hes partnered with Roy now who Does have A daughter Lian. Teen pregnancy stuff. You get it.

Tim is a meister. He can resonate with anyone but he really struggled to find a weapon he really clicked with. So he fought by directing his soul wavelength for a while.

He met Bernard who is a bo staff and they clicked and are now partners.

Steph used to fight by herself using a non person weapon, no one is really sure where she got it. But now she and Cassandra are partners and No One but Steph and maybe Bruce and Barbara know what kind of weapon she is all anyone can tell is that she’s something small, she can also see soul wavelengths.

There’s a good chance though that when you see Steph alone that Cass is actually transformed and concealed somewhere on her person

Duke is a weapon who fights alone (like Justin law) I don’t know what kind of weapon but it’s something weird and COOL he’s got to be really super cool. It definitely glows and he can like “enchant” (not really the word I’m looking for but it works) it with his soul wavelength to like resonate/boost his own attacks.

Duke is the closest to becoming a death scythe of the batfam.

Damian is PISSED that he wasn’t born a weapon. He really really wants to be a death scythe, so it bums him out that he can’t.

I think it’s really funny if he Is actually a weapon but he’s even more repressed than Maka so literally no one knows.

That or Talia tried to ensure he’d be a witch and it backfired somehow and locked away his weapon transformation instead.

He’s partnered with Jon who is a sword

Damian is absolutely determined to make Jon into the youngest death scythe ever

Jon does not particularly care either way he definitely wants to become a death scythe but isn’t super bothered by timeline but if that’s what Damian wants god damnit he’s going to try his best!! Jon is very Tsubaki core to me. They are the tsu/blackstar combo of the batfam.

Back to Jason, Bruce understands Jason’s struggle with the madness and just really really wants his son to talk to him but he never ever gives ANY indication that he’d react well or even Want to talk to Jason about anything. Especially when he keeps reacting so high and mighty and preachy when Jason is Worse at dealing with the madness than anyone else.

J’onn is a teacher (also a weapon) at the academy in my mind the like struggle with madness is split off onto Bruce but the like rest of stein is in J’onn mixed with Sid’s like dad energy.

J’onn is the teacher that Everyone goes to for advice about basically anything.

Also J’onn is a weapon who can change form like Tsubaki can but he’s got A Lot more forms. He can see wavelengths. And attack with his own wavelength. He’s basically super overpowered but he hardly ever has to fight.

The main villain of the arc is the league of assassins. Run by witches. The academy and the justice league witches team up to take them down. They’re trying to turn the joker into a full blown kishin using the black blood which is a stand in for the Lazarus pits. I’m thinking like full on Pits of the stuff and everyone has to donate blood to the pits every time they walk past. All these assassins are Covered in self inflicted cuts so they can donate their blood.

When people displease Ra’s they get bled out into the black blood. Like draining an animal style. So ominously hanging over the pit by the ankles bleeding out into it are like a lot of bodies. And in the center in like a cage half submerged in the blood is the joker and they bring him all the souls after the people bleed to death.

They do kidnap J’onn at some point, also Tim, and Bernard, and idk Lian for the drama

So rescue mission! Also kill the joker! Is the main finale.

BEEEEEEEEEEE I just read the new chapter of through a glass divine!! I've been reading quietly for a while and I read the "original version" when you first posted it. this fic is definitely my favorite right now I can't stop thinking about it LOL but I just want to talk about the new chapter

I really want to know more about the deathling laws, since "choosing" how another deathling will die is a breach of it. to me it's really just a reminder of how tommy sees the good in everyone and wants to help people. he assumed that jack would understand, he assumed that jack would want to be helped, and there's obviously the part of him that loves jack as a friend and didn't want to see him die. it's just so painful, he was put in such an impossible situation that it makes me wonder how techno and phil let him go on runs at all. part of me believes that tommy would worm his way out anyway, but is there really no one else to do runs? no one older?

also tommy almost suffocated to death. again. I'm not sure how the timeline works but I have to assume that it hasn't been a crazy amount of time since the first incident. regardless of that though, sam didn't "enhance" his lungs at all. something something three strikes and you're out something something checkovs gun cough cough

jack "he tried to kill me" vs tommy "I tried to save him" is going to be CRAZYYYYY in the next few chapters. I'm very excited to see where you go with this <33

right now in my head, the Deathling laws aren't really a strict set of rules per se, but just some guiding points the Deathlings follow. one of the most important ones is that a Deathlings relationship with Lady Death is their own. no one else can define it for them, no one else can demand to know what another Deathlings relationship with Kristin is like unless the Deathling offers the information willingly. this also translates into 'death is a Deathling's personal choice'. while any kind of suicide is usually discouraged by the Deathlings because Kristin is supposed to be the one who decides when they die, they also operate under the logic that if a Deathling kills themself that's what Kristin already had planned for them (it's very hazy in a lot of areas because a lot of religious guidelines irl are not clear cut). and when it comes to situations like what Tommy and Jack were in, suicide could be seen as a valid option. if they had each made the choice themselves. but the thing was, again, Tommy decided that for Jack. He decided it was both his and Jack's time to meet Kristin, even though Jack was supposed to be the one to decide that for himself. does that make sense?

but yes, tommy was trying to help. he was terrified and acting on impulse, but he still took away a core part of their shared religious practice from jack.

also, technically yeah other people could go on runs. but even though he's young, tommy is also one of the most 'veteran' Deathlings in the temple besides Phil and Techno. he was one of the first to join this new group so he's been there the longest besides the leaders, even if he was only ~10ish at the time. of course he wasn't going out on runs at 10 years old, but he's had the most training and guidance from Phil and Techno and he started sneaking out to try and do runs on his own when he was about 15, so eventually they had to give in and let him go on runs so they could at least have someone with him.

it's flawed logic on Phil and Techno's end for sure, but as I'm sure most people know with my stories at this point, I don't write about people making the right choices. Phil and Techno know Tommy's young, but they also view him as one of the most experienced. that's why he's their best option for a runner. but now with this whole mess, the consequences of the things they've taught Tommy as he's grown up and the lifestyle they've put him into are starting to crop up.

oh also regarding Tommy's lungs, Sam said it was going to take him a while to get the supplies to upgrade Tommy's lungs. He fixed a few minor issues, but the upgrade hasn't happened yet because he's gotta build a whole new pair of lungs pretty much and that takes a long time.

Five was right, this was officially worse than the apocalypse. Well, when is he ever wrong? The thought of skipping the event as a whole came to mind, but then Sloane asked Y/n to be the maid of honor. In the short time of knowing her, they knew how kind the sparrow was. Also, they felt like there was no choice. Sloane lost almost her whole family to the Kugelblitz. Without hesitation, Y/n did it for her but now as they sat in the corner, watching everyone dance, champagne in hand, they decided to leave. Leave them to have fun, but Klaus just refused.

“It’s a party! Lighten up! There could be worse things than Luther dancing.” Klaus said with a heavy sigh, begging them to dance, hell, even just stand on the dance floor.

“Klaus, as much as I love you, I refuse to dance.” Their arms crossed over their f/c outfit, which looked pretty damn good, considering it was the end of the world (again). “Come onnn! We have less than a day to live, don't be boring.”

Klaus sighed, knowing why they didn’t want to. He walked away, quickly finding Five to annoy, leaving Y/n to their thoughts.

It felt as if they couldn’t do anything fun. Y/n couldn’t even smile now that he was back. Who?

The flashing of the suitcase blinded all of the siblings and Y/n. Thankfully, after a few seconds, they could finally see where they were.

They were back in 2019.

Everyone sighed in relief. Klaus was the first to break the silence, “Come onnn!” He tugged on Y/n’s sleeve like an impatient toddler, “We could use a drink!”

They all walked into the living room/bar area, for some reason missing the big, cold, empty mansion.

“Why is there a painting of Ben over the mantle?” Diego asked, obviously concerned.

Y/n’s eyes widened. They haven’t seen a picture like that of him since before the first apocalypse, which was almost 4 years ago. They were stranded in Dallas a year before Klaus, which meant they were alone for the first time in forever.

The only thing that Y/n’s mind was able to process was the fact that their father-in-law was alive and Five’s picture was replaced with a familiar face. Any words spoken by Reginald or any of the siblings went in one ear, and out of the opposite. Until seven words were spoken. Seven words were said from a voice that seemed like only an old memory.

“Dad, who the hell are these assholes?”

Since then, they’ve been avoiding Ben like a plague.Y/n could barely stand in the same room as him, which did leave the boy very confused but they didn’t care.

They couldn’t bear to look them in the eye. They might put up a tough facade, but if they looked at him, they’d crumble in an instant.

How could he do that still after years apart? Was it another secret power he had? It wasn’t even their ben, how could he-

A thump across the table snapped them out of their thoughts. Y/n looked up, about to tell Klaus no, but instead found Ben on the other side, standing while leaning on the table.

Y/n sighed, shaking their head slightly before standing up and leaving him. This only caused Ben to follow. “Why do you hate me?” Ben asked with his unusual snarky tone

Y/n ignored the sparrow as they continued to the bar, getting a drink with Ben right behind them, “I haven’t done anything and you’ve been rude to me!” He spoke once again

“It's a bit hypocritical of you to be mad, don’t you think?”

He looked at them with his normal angry look, “You know, if ‘your’ Ben did something, we aren’t the same. So just tell me what he did.”

Y/n furrowed their eyebrows, “Why do you care so much?”

Ben glanced to the side where Klaus was talking to Lila and Diego and it finally clicked.

Goddamnit Klaus.

“How much did he tell you?” Y/n asked, not looking at him, but their drink suddenly seemed very interesting.

“Not much, just that something between you two happened and then something happened to him.”

Y/n sighed. It was the end of the world, how bad could things go?

“I don’t hate you, I never did,” They sighed, “I think it’s impossible for me to hate you.”

Silence fell over the pair.

“Did you love him?” He asked

“More than anything…”

They slowly looked up to see him already looking. He said, “As I said before, we aren’t the same. You may have loved me but I’m not him.” He slowly walked away

They knew that, but after years of missing him, it hurt knowing this wasn’t their Ben.

“Hey Ben,” They called out to him, making him stop, “I was good seeing you again..”

Ben didn’t respond but instead walked away leaving them alone.

No matter what, they vowed on their wedding day to protect, love, and cherish Ben.

Y/n would always love him in every timeline.
