How to continue after achieving your biggest success? For instance, The Doobie Brothers reconfigured themselves so often they were a different band by the time they released One Step Closer, the follow up to their blockbuster Minute By Minute. We need to say – Michael McDonald transformed the group into an entity that could function within the 80's, but the band seemed tired by then. Still, the tune on the link presented a possibility of a continuation, i.e. a version of a collective, where Cornelius Bumpus serves as a frontman. I think that development would've fit the way Michael McDonald showed, while one can also observe a potential in an even more soulful direction. Sadly, the collective disbanded afterwards, delegating the composition as a glimpse into what-could-have-been.

Scream Factory has revealed the specs for its Silver Bullet 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray. Originally due out on November 21, the 1985 werewolf movie will now be released on December 5.

Stephen King wrote the script based on his own 1983 novella Cycle of the Werewolf. Dan Attias (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Entourage) directs. Corey Haim, Gary Busey, Everett McGill, and Megan Follows star. Dino De Laurentiis (Army of Darkness, King Kong) produces.

Silver Bullet has been newly transferred in 4K from the original camera negative with Dolby Vision (HDR-10 compatible) and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono. Special features are listed below.

at first this was going to be a crossover with Blitzwing, Spinel, Pink-Pearl and Padaparacha...

but then I decided to add more to it, and added some other cartoon and video game characters into it.

also when playing Fallout 4, I really like to use the baseball bat to fight with, so that is why Nora from the Fallout 4 game, is holding a bat and seems to be keeping a eye out for danger...and yeah even if it isn’t canon, in this drawing, Husk has a little crush on Nora...

of course when I was first working on this drawing, I had to at some point go to sleep, but then once I did wake back up I went back to working on this drawing.

the geth in this drawing is Legion, and Tali is a much better character once she accepts the geth, and maybe when she finally realizes that the quarians aren’t victims, since they started the mess first, and they were the ones who just assume that the geth would attack first, even if some quarians did try to help the geth and got k*lled for it....

but some of the quarians who fully blame the geth for being driven from their home world, are just being a bunch of shisno.

I wonder what a crossover ship between Caboose from Red Vs Blue and Legion from Mass Effect would be like...?

maybe it be more platonic, and Caboose would view Legion as his best friend, and if Tali ever talked bad about Legion, it could have Caboose tell her off by saying “now Miss Tali, I will have to ask you to stop being a Mean Lady to my best friend Legion....you are being very hurtful, nobody likes a shisno.”

I know there are some fans who 100% love Tali, I just don’t agree with her view on how the geth are the ones who are the “bad guys” when it was some of the quarians who started it in the first place.

I still think the Ralsei that appears in Chapter 2, and might of switched places with the real one when King was about to hurt Kris but was stop by Susie.

both Ralsei are different heights, the original has smaller horns and smaller feet than the one that is in the party in Chapter 2.

it’s my theory and fan headcanon that the Ralsei that went with Kris to the Card Kingdom, is not only trapped in the Card Kingdom but was replaced by the Other-Ralsei, who locked both the Door that takes Kris and their party out of Castle Town to Card Kingdom, and even locked it’s light world counterpart that is in the unused classroom, making sure Susie and Kris wont end up back in the Card Kingdom and find out the Ralsei they befriended is still trapped there.

don’t know if that theory will turn out to be true and fully canon, but if it turns out it isn’t, it can always be used in the fanon.

oh and the Other-Ralsei is using the Green Soul to keep the True-Ralsei trap in a green energy box.

Rewind: Steely Dan - Gaucho (1980)

Its transition from rock ‘n’ roll to jazz completed with the 1980 release of Gaucho, Steely Dan also decided to call the band itself complete.

But what a way to go out - until 2000’s Two against Nature, anyway. Languid and bittersweet though it may be, Gaucho is a classic affair full of immeasurable musicianship from more than 40 contributors on seven songs of elegant debauchery from Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, the latter of whom plays on only three cuts.

But with guitarists and bassists including Hugh McCracken and Mark Knopfler and Chuck Rainey and Anthony Jackson on standby, Becker’s aural absence hardly matters.

For Becker, like his partner Fagen, had the vision thing going and co-wrote all the songs. And though it was clearly clouded by Cuervo gold, fine Columbian, chasing the dragon and other illegal fun under the sun, Gaucho is a laser-focused masterwork that fuses what came before on Can’t Buy a Thrill through Aja while pointing toward what Fagen would produce on his initial post-Steely albums, the Nightfly and Kamakiriad.

But first Gaucho, which runs 38 shimmering minutes from the reggae-flecked lounge-room jazz of “Babylon Sisters” to the hazy cocaine hangover that is “Third World Man.”

In between, Fagen, the cadre of session players and singers and occasionally Becker, make creepy moves on a young one and live hard on the peppy “Hey Nineteen” and “Glamour Profession,” respectively; get high in the Custerdome - whatever the fuck that is - on the majestic title track; look forward to smoking some junk on the Doobie-licious “Time out of Mind,” with Michael McDonald on backgrounds; and dream of sweet revenge on “My Rival,” which sounds like a Caribbean rendering of “Fame.”

I loved you more than I can tell but now it’s stomping time, Fagen warns.

This is gruesome and hedonistic stuff that if packaged in any other way would’ve landed Gaucho with a parental warning. But as it went, the slick production, tasteful horn charts and slinky female backgrounds ensured parents played this record during family hour, resulting in children singing along to songs they didn’t really understand and growing up to be big Steely Dan fans.

Through the years, Cartoon Network Studios produced original shows for both Cartoon Network & Adult Swim. On the 3rd Friday of next month or early next year when I started working animation in Los Angeles County, California, Cartoon Network Studios will produce original shows for Boomerang sometime mid 2024. Since 2015, Warner Bros. Animation produced original shows for Boomerang such as New Looney Tunes & the Wacky Races reboot. After the premiere of the second season of the Animaniacs revival on Hulu 1 year ago, none of the Boomerang original shows were produced by Cartoon Network Studios. That will have to change when I come to the Burbank studio to produced a Cartoon Network crossover show by mixing characters from the past Cartoon Network original shows that I watched as a kid & designing new characters for it, & the art style I use will be inspired by Genndy Tartakovsky, Craig McCracken, Chris Savino & more. A Cartoon Network crossover show will possibly be not only on Boomerang in the United States, but an HBO Max original (which will soon merged with Discovery+ next spring) in late 2024. Also, Cartoon Network Studios will produce shorts based on Dexter’s Laboratory mid to late next year. In addition to the proposed shorts with Dexter & his annoying sister Dee Dee, Mee Mee & Lee Lee will have shorts of their own making it the first Dexter’s Lab spin-off. The shorts I’ll wrote at Cartoon Network Studios will premiere on Cartoon Network, Boomerang & HBO Max mid to late next year, after the premiere of third season of the Animaniacs revival on Hulu. & then, Cartoon Network Studios will produce direct-to-video films which will be released on DVD & Blu-ray between mid 2024 & mid 2026. Cartoon Network Studios always made television films based on shows since 1999, although Warner Bros. released The Powerpuff Girls Movie in theaters back in 2002. When Michael Ouweleen’s once again in charge of Cartoon Network & Sam Register’s now the Cartoon Network Studios president since 2 years & 2 month ago, I’ll be sure J. G. Quintel won’t be involved in my projects ether. By the way, my future projects will have the current aspect ratio of 16:9 (1.78:1) & 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound (only used for streaming). Before I write scripts & designing new characters at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, California, I’ll make student animated short films at the Animation Academy in the same location which will be released during & after the Japanese premieres of new episodes & shows of American TV cartoons that premiered in the United States 1 year & 11 months ago & before & during the premiere of the third season of the Animaniacs revival on Hulu. After the end of the Animaniacs revival next month, Dexter & Dee Dee will soon be better than Pinky & the Brain. To me, Codename: Kids Next Door, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Camp Lazlo, Ben 10 (2005 TV series), Chowder (TV series), Ben 10: Alien Force, The Amazing World of Gumball, Craig of the Creek & Lamput are the only Cartoon Network shows on Boomerang in the United States as of now. Some classic Cartoon Network shows like Juniper Lee in its uncropped 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio (1.78:1) should air on Boomerang this winter, as well as My Gym Partner’s a Monkey. Both Cartoon Network & Boomerang are owned by the Cartoon Network Group of Warner Bros. Discovery Networks U.S., a division of Warner Bros. Discovery. By the way, the 22 minute mark for animated shows will be better than the 11 minute mark.

Well I'm assuming that we all more or less know who Michael Collins was, and if not he's very easily googlable. Interestingly, @thereofrin has told me that this poster may have just been a mock up made during treaty negotiations, not a real wanted poster, which may explain why the writer is so concerned with complimenting him.

Thomas Russell is less famous, he lived from 1767 - 1803, and he was a leading United Irishmen. He was originally a soldier but ended up having to sell his commission (to get his horrible American friend out of debtor's prison in Belfast), and so he went into being a magistrate, but was horrified by how much his fellow magistrates hated Catholics and resigned. He was also Theobald Wolfe Tone's best friend, and worked with the United Irishmen from their start in 1791, especially with promoting connections with the Defenders (the Catholic paramilitary. he wasn't Catholic himself but he was a big fan of the movement #ally). Essentially he'd ride around Ireland on a horse and get people to join the United Irishmen, which was a very dangerous job. He was arrested in 1796 with several other key Belfast radicals, including Henry Joy McCracken and Samuel Neilson, and from then on served a prison sentence of nearly 8 years, at the end of which he was exiled to Hamburg. He did not however obey this exile and returned to help Robert Emmet with his ill-fated rising. At the end of it he was captured and executed. Sadly there hasn't been much scholarship into him because his handwriting was illegible to the point where some people suspect that he was dyslexic, and because a lot of his papers were seized by the government and are difficult to track down. A number of people have remarked on how attractive he was, including (most famously) Mary Ann McCracken. And this arrest warrant, too, I guess:
