More Hob posters that Netflix forgot to make.
1789 Hob doesn't get one because... Look, Hob is fascinating precisely because he is such a mirror of the world — when it embraces handkerchiefs and chimneys, he's right there with it; and when it falls into atrocity, he jumps right into those depths, too. It makes for a compelling, incisive character study and social commentary, but Human Rights Abuses Hob does NOT get his face on a poster.
1989 & 2022 Hob don't have one because this was 100% a procrastination project from things that vaguely resemble real work, and I didn't get around to it yet.

Hi Scott! Hope you're having a wonderful day! My question is: Is there a piece of art you have created that stands out to you as one of your best works?
Hi.
I don't know if it's my BEST work... but the Animal Crackers movie poster is one of my favorites.
And, I think the reason why is because... a year before I painted this... I had NEVER used gouache paints before.
I decided I wanted to make the movie poster in gouache so it had an "old time movie poster" feel and I taught myself how to paint with gouache by just painting a little portrait every day.
For a year.
This painting wound up taking me about 12 weeks, I think? It's really big and I had SO much fun.
Here's some close ups, so you can see.
Thanks for asking
Sending Big Hugs from the Hobbit Hole. ♥♥♥
Scott

Netflix forgot Hob's poster so I made it. Everyone has a shadow/thing that's important to their character in their poster. Here, Hob has his beer because his skill is being a drunken braggart in the presence of Death & Dream and he should be celebrated for it.

No but like how when it cut to this
the music just got really quiet for a second, so quiet I genuinely thought it stopped:
donnie’s whole thing is how he’s “emotionless” but seeing his twin sacrifice himself just broke something inside of him and the music dying down not only let us really focus on his genuine heartbreak, but let both us AND donnie see himself not be able to hold back his emotions
like LOOK
even HE’S surprised he’s crying. he’s not used to actually letting his emotions out, which makes the scene all more heartbreaking as it’s the supposed loss of his brother that finally pushed him over the edge
