You like cats, right, Giovanni? Have you ever heard of the nekomata? They're two-tailed cat spirits from Japan!
Tumblr media
"I have! One of the older thralls the Master had when I rejoined him in Sugbu was a Japanese pirate named Akitake! I think he was a disgraced lord from Edo who joined Datu Dalugdog and many other pirates of the South China Seas by the time. Either way! He told me about the nekomata and other creatures in Japan like the tanuki and the Orochi beast! Supposedly when a cat has lived a long enough life, its tail will split in two! I think they also become especially wise or powerful!
Tumblr media
"Ohhh, I'd love to befriend a nekomata! I will give it all the love and hugs and cuddles and pets and treats it will ever ask for!!"

btw fans bitching about sanji having a british accent because in the shitty usamerican dub he speaks american and they cannot contemplate anyone not speaking like they do: i do realize you can't tell because you don't know anything outside of your own borders but sanji speaks a very working class english accent infused with the actor's own actual immigrant spanish islander accent, which suits the character very well actually and perfectly tempers his snobbishness about food and the flowery french names of his signature moves with the knowledge that he's had to work really fucking hard for that knowledge and you are reminded of it every time he opens his mouth. so to all those whining and complaining you are invited to kindly get the fuck off

When taunted about being too beat up to fight, Luffy just says that Law's attacks must've hurt Doflamingo real bad too... Ouhh that mutual trust between Law and Luffy makes me unwell. Because they haven't been allies (or friends, and Law keeps trying to break up) for long and Luffy truly sees him as one of his own. It's Luffy though, so that makes sense for Luffy. While Law? Law had faith in Luffy, maybe even before they reunited in Punk Hazard.

fkxkakf thinking bout genderbent sanami (platonic or romantic idc). sanji is the lesbian of all lesbians but she cant help be entraced by nami the coolest and most charismatic of guys. like she obviously has 0 chance but you do you girly feed your obsessions. sanji would be like when lesbians go feral over a fictional man with nami
All lesbians have one special little guy. Happens all the time. Sanji loves Nami a very not normal amount for a lesbian but we forgive her because it's Nami and he'd be the hottest thing as a guy.

"The Bounty Hunter" au but it's that one scene in the hungry moon hotel (and I'm switching pov's (from Sanji to Zoro) like they did in the movie... and it's shortened a bit)
Sanji hiding away in the bathroom calling his sister: He said he missed me and that he was sorry and that he thinks getting a divorce was a mistake...
Reiju: What? He actually said he all that? How drunk was he?
Sanji: He wasn't.
Reiju: He wasn't drunk and he said that?
Meanwhile Zoro (talking to Usopp because he was the first to pick up) freaking out about the picturehe found in Sanji's wallet: He admitted for the first time he was wrong and then I find this picture of us, how many pictures do you have of your exes in your wallet, like is that common???
Usopp: I've never had an ex, Kaya was my first and last girlfriend.
Zoro: So like... what does it mean then? Does he... you know... still love me?
Nami and Luffy barge in. Usopp (to them) : It's Zoro, he found their wedding photo in Sanji's wallet. The idiot wants to know what it means.
Luffy: It probably means he forgot it there, I keep forgetting that I carry meat in my pockets and then it spoils.
Usopp: Don't listen to him, it means he loves you!
Reiju: You should go for it! You guys deserve a second chance!
Sanji: Okay, you're right
Nami: Can you fall for him again after you turn him in? Zoro, I swear if you go soft and don't get my money because you're horny-
Zoro: I'm not falling in love and I'm not horny, even if I get laid I'm still going to turn him in! I'll still collect the money, it changes nothing, stop nagging me!
Sanji only hears that last part. He couldn't believe he almost fell for it.

As of time of writing, Rishi Sunak is still refusing to apologise for the jibe at trans women in PMQ. (Apologise specifically to Brianna Ghey's parents, her mother at least being definetly present at the time.) What will the fallout for this be? This is only days after normally transphobic tabloids splashed the mugshots of Brianna's killers all over their front page with headlines like 'PURE EVIL'. It seemed the spectacle of 16 year old murderers overrode the fact that they normally don't care about trans people. Rishi's remark streamrolled one of the most important optics rules on most parts of the political spectrum- don't say things that upset the grieving family. On the other hand, Sunak was making a jibe that revealed the fact that most people currently in UK politics seem convinced that if they say 'trans women are women' it will not only prove catastrophic for their chance of being elected, it will also cause mobs of people to thrust stats at them supposedly proving that cis women will be in mortal danger. And that may happen! The statistical evidence isn't there at all, though, so I believe it would come to nothing if he rode it out. Anyway, it's the right thing to do. I believe that after a certain point, continually insisting trans women are not women makes you look deranged. I have a trans woman friend who told me she once asked a transphobic/gender critical aquaintance of ours during calm conversation 'how do you see me? What am I, if not a woman?' The aquaintance said 'you're a man dressed up.' Now, these gender critical people claim to be super duper pro GNC cis men (they aren't, because they are worried the GNC cis men might start IDing as trans, and they hate men anyway especially weird queer ones, so it's a non-starter.) But this person was essentially telling my friend 'you aren't what you have clearly demonstrated yourself to be'. It's often said that 'trans women are women' is an opinion, but in my eyes saying that trans women are not women is an opinion. This aquaintance was saying what she had been indocterinated to believe by her TERF online circles, and I don't think she's reachable (my friend is no longer trying, it was a one off conversation as far as I can tell). I've said this before but I maintain that politicians should stop dignifying the question of 'what is a woman? Define what a woman is!' because it's a question that is never asked in good faith. It's a gotcha, and you don't need to answer it and fall into whatever trap they are setting. You just need to put forth policies that support both cis women and trans women- showing support with your deeds and words. And Starmer should have a fucking backbone- Sunak isn't wrong there. If anything what Sunak did was very revealing because it shows he's used to being surrounded only by people who guffaw at the very idea that 'trans women are women' is something true in both theory and practice. Meanwhile trans people are becoming more visible and I truly believe within 20 years, both Sunak and Starmer will look like dinosaurs in much the same way as the homophobic politicians of yore were following a public zeitgeist that was quickly becoming outdated. It's a shame we never seem to learn from the past.

If you're reasoning for not calling Yamato a man is anything outside the manga, do not talk to me. I don't watch the anime, so I can't comment on that, but everyone in the manga, including KAIDO, refer to Yamato as man, and as far as I'm concerned, that's the only evidence I need. Anything outside the source material doesn't fucking matter. That's other people's opinions influencing it. "But Oda is involved in those decisions!" Don't care. If he really wants Yamato to be seen as a girl, he can put it in the manga. I cannot stress how much anything outside of the source material does not fucking matter.
This is not an invite to debate with me. This is not a discussion, and it never will be. I am a transmasc person, and I do not have the energy to deal with you motherfuckers. You will be blocked.

The mental image of Zoro, Mr. YOU HAVE A SWORD FIGHT ME himself, who can get lost in a fucking one way hallway with no doors, being the most emotionally and mentally stable amuses me to no end.
ACTUALLY YEAH, LET'S TALK ABOUT THAT.
what the actual fuck, how is Zoro the most stable, both mentally and emotionally, WHEN THE MAN PRACTICALLY LIVES AT DEATH'S DOOR???!
Mister owner of the fattest tits in all of the straw hats, who took on so much fucking PAIN from Kuma's bubble and was like, bet.
Like the only one stable after him is Luffy, but he doesn’t count because the fucker was barely 17 when he set off to become a Pirate, and then we got what happened as a kid with Shanks and of course, SABO.
My dude, HOW is Zoro the fucking rock of the straw hats???
Robin and Franky have age on their side to ground some of their stability but beyond that, they still had shit childhoods screwwd over by the world government.
Nami for all her responsibilities and all, HAS MONEY AS A COPING MECHANISM. She is the responsible one, let's leave it at that since she does enough for the Straw Hats.
Brook can also have his own insanity as a treat, my man was alone for YEARS
Jinbei grew up an orphan on fishman island, which is already a bad hand dealt to him because of the racism on top of world gov bs, and then you throw in Fisher Tiger and Arlong...
Like again, ZORO HOW?????
I am amazed. Pour one out for the first mate of the straw hats, the reformed murder hobo who likes booze and sleep, but also will protect his crew to the end and wants to fight anyone with a sword.
Good god i wanna kick his ass
