Keep thinking I ought to buy more books about Welsh history and then realise that it might be difficult to locate what I want if I have half a shelf of books, 90% of which are written by authors whose surnames are Williams, Davies, Jones, Jenkins, Evans, e.t.c.

#It's already bad enough over in the Scottish history section #There are like multiple guys named Alastair/Alister/Alasdair MacDonald apparently #I still don't know which is which in a given situation and I got taught by one of them #But Wales is a whole other level #How are you supposed to find the right book when the authors all sound like a Barbarians team from the 1970s #Why people spend all their time making fun of the Welsh language (a beautiful and perfectly sensible tongue) I don't know #The surnames though... #Seriously how do people who study Welsh lit and stuff ever find the texts/academic articles they're looking for #There is a Gothic short story waiting to be written about an academic who slowly loses their sanity in a labyrinthine library #On their quest to find the correct article by Evans et al.

No but not enough English speakers understand that the peak term of endearment in Chinese is to call your partner by their full name. “A-[name]” and “[name]-er” are grammatically correct terms of endearment and so is “lao gong/lao po” but you know what makes me SURE a couple is TIGHT? If they call each other by their whole ass government names.

I've got to say, I've been doing a lot of research on Italy recently and I literally can't stop thinking about your boys. I'm over here trying to read about whatever Crusade and my brain is just a constant loop of "isn't Machete a cardinal? And Vasco was from like Verona, right?" I'd argue that getting invested in your characters and their stories and having to do background research for them is actually a great way to accumulate knowledge about various subjects. Often it's stuff you probably would never get around to reading about otherwise. I'm not saying it's always information you'll have many practical uses for, but learning about new things is fun and it's beneficial to you and your brain in the long run.

Vasco is from Florence actually! It's usually considered to be the birthplace and the main hub of the entire Renaissance movement. Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli and Michelangelo lived and influenced there and Dante Alighieri (author of The Divine Comedy/Dante's Inferno) was florentine as well, albeit he lived several centuries prior to them.

Is the Preservation Alliance now contracting, building, or using SecUnits? No. There is one (1) SecUnit who lives on Preservation Station and it is a refugee pursuing full citizenship. Is it reporting back to a company? No. Does it want to kill all humans? No. Does it have a guardian like bots do? Yes. Is the guardian controlling it? No.  It is an autonomous person just like you. Do I need to treat it with the full respect and rights granted to any citizen of the Preservation Alliance? Yes. Even if— Yes. Will the Preservation Alliance be getting more SecUnits in the future? The Preservation Alliance maintains its stance that the creation and use of constructs for labor is wrong and antithetical to our values.  However, if other SecUnits in the future choose to request asylum or citizenship in the Preservation Alliance, we will respect their rights as refugees or immigrants equally as we have in the past for humans and bots.
